2024.06.02 11:09 Morning_Seaa Stronger tummy = bigger range

Hello, im just an amateur singer, a beginner, and im no professional or claim to be. Im a teen, who love to sing and want to be a singer in the future, and today i want to share with everybody what i just know
Before, my range was B1 -> F4 with my tessitura lying somewhere around C#2 -> D4. Pretty typical for a bass
Ive always wanted to sing higher, most nirvana songs lay around F#4 and G4, and i was very frustrated to know im so close to singing in the right tone, but yet so far away. I search everywhere but to no avail, not a lot of the things i find help me
Till yesterday i still thought that to expand your vocal range, you need to vigorously do vocal runs and warm ups every day for hours for years. Maybe thats true and is a part of it
But just yesterday i suddenly decide that i need to do the most vigorous, vile, and ugly core workout ever in the gym. And guess what, i woke up this morning and i sang a G4 without any warmups what so ever
While before, to just belt an F#4 for 3 seconds its half an hour of warm up and a super big breathe at max strain. Now, im sustaining it for 10 seconds plus with zero to no trouble
And i thought, thats it! You just need a support thats strong as fuck. Rock hard abs. Diaphragm made of steel. The key to achieving a wider vocal range lays in better support
And because ppl sing a lot, their support gradually get better through time, but if you just specifically target it. It becomes better in less time.
Correct me if im wrong, im no professional. But i cant believe that a full tone increase in range lays in a core workout. Not just any core workout with like leg kicks and sit ups. You gotta train it like a muscle, like with weights and core machines in the gym or cable crunches.
Its magical. Ive never felt so happy before and i thought that itll take years or even eternity till i can sing what i want. Now, im already there in just one night. It feels unreal, and sounds like a typical "buy my course" scam. But its not.
Stronger support = better vocals
Aight this idiot is gonna stop yapping now 🙌
CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG I AM NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO SPREADING FALSE INFORMATION. This is personal advice from personal experience.

2024.06.02 11:08 seksownywojtus Joke Unfunny.

Not funny I didn't laugh. Your joke is so bad I would have preferred the joke went over my head and you gave up re-telling me the joke. To be honest this is a horrid attempt at trying to get a laugh out of me. Not a chuckle, not a hehe, not even a subtle burst of air out of my esophagus. Science says before you laugh your brain preps your face muscles but I didn't even feel the slightest twitch. 0/10 this joke is so bad I cannot believe anyone legally allowed you to be creative at all. The amount of brain power you must have put into that joke has the potential to power every house on Earth. Get a personality and learn how to make jokes, read a book. I'm not saying this to be funny I genuinely mean it on how this is just bottom barrel embarrassment at comedy. You've single handedly killed humor and every comedic act on the planet. I'm so disappointed that society has failed as a whole in being able to teach you how to be funny. Honestly if I put in all my power and time to try and make your joke funny it would require Einstein himself to build a device to strap me into so I can be connected to the energy of a billion stars to do it, and even then all that joke would get from people is a subtle scuff. You're lucky I still have the slightest of empathy for you after telling that joke otherwise I would have committed every war crime in the book just to prevent you from attempting any humor ever again. We should put that joke in text books so future generations can be wary of becoming such an absolute comedic failure. I'm disappointed, hurt, and outright offended that my precious time has been wasted in my brain understanding that joke. In the time that took I was planning on helping kids who have been orphaned, but because of that you've wasted my time explaining the obscene integrity of your terrible attempt at comedy. Now those kids are suffering without meals and there's nobody to blame but you. I hope you're happy with what you have done.

2024.06.02 11:05 PumpkinAbject5702 Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros

This a rant post. I didn't really see a rant flair.
But Oh My God, I think I am going crazy, I haven't really seen a bad review on this book, everyone seems to love love love it. Normally, I stay away from any book booktok loves but this one was our book of the month in my bookclub and people loved it. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to yuck everyone's yum. Plus I'd be the odd man out.
Let me first say, I DNF'd it, which I tried my best to make it work but it just didn't. I did listen to a podcast where they talked about 90% of what happened.
I feel like every bad character there was just two-dimensional and lacked motivation. I know some people are bad just for being bad but c'mon not like that.
Let's start with the mum, not a good woman at all. Shitty mother to boot. Your husband died and one of his last wishes and the thing you know he would've wanted to see most was his daughter making it to scribe quadrant. You waited for the old guy to bugger off to heaven and then you were like to your own daughter who has thought/wanted all her life to be in the scribe quadrant 'welk, sucks to be you, your dad's dead, go where you'll die instead'
If she had a problem with it, while not make it know while the man was alive and years before,, so everyone will know she's not okay with it, not at the last moment, 3 months before basically. Where people take 2 years to train, she took 3 months. She has a iffy condition that wasn't really addressed well and she doesn't even want to be there. It's like giving everyone else an Excalibur to enter a forbidden forest and giving your own DAUGHTER (that you have no hope in btw) a bread knife and say 'well there you go'
No to mention she recently lost a son to that quadrant, a son that could fight very well, is it so easy for her to lose children? And she doesn't want anyone to bring it up, well, excuse me while I dig it right out of the ground ma'am because who does that.
This is the same quadrant where children of traitors get sent to in hopes that they'd die and you're sending your unwilling daughter there? I could go on and on but I won't. Bottom line: She didn't love her husband and she doesn't love her last born. She's a horrible mother.
Now to Jack Harlow, sorry Barlow, such a one dimensional character if I've ever seen one. No motivation in life except Hate Violet, that his whole reason for existence. I think he was the same smirking guy that I couldn't handle, every two seconds he was just smirking, no other facial expression, just smirking. Argh!
Even when you'd think self-preservation and common sense (this doesn't only apply to him by the way even Violet too and those kids that were talking smack in front of the dragons) should win, it doesn't. He doesn't want to become a rider as much as he wants to kill Violet. Simple.
Dain Aetos, the stereotypical, good guy turned bad, except the path was so linear yet so confusing it would've harder to have made him a good guy because then there'd be actual emotional depth required of Violet in order to choose.
What exactly is his motivation for being bad? Jealousy? What? I seriously do not get it. Why did he go from a stickler to the rules, to someone who mind rapes his friend that he doesn't even believe in (had to believe someone who's sticks to the rules as much as he does would do that)
His whole character was also 'Violet, you should be here, I'll get you out regardless of what you want', 'you have superpowers, cool, don't use them, I'll get you out', 'youre so weak and so dumb, I'll get you out'.
To Xander, or was it Xaden, bad guy who was never for a single page of the book actually bad. This isn't enemies to lovers, it's who you think would be enemies but they aren't to lovers. The 'bad' boy that carries the world on his shoulders as a teen but someone manages to fall for a girl he would risk it all for, as per he's a teen.
Ohhhhhhh and Violet, Violence, Sorrengail. Or rather Violent, I have self-control issues, Sorrengail. Every single time she's in the vicinity of two guys all she can think about is Sex. No shame, no self control, no reading the room or the seriousness at hand just sex sex sex sex.
V: Oh Grandma what ripped, toned, sleek muscles you have. G: The better to sex you with dear.
Oh and I have to say this. She has a somewhat bad attitude, there i said it. I know it's meant to come off as quirky and someone who will stand for herself but she doesn't even have any backbone to begin with, she can't face her mum or dain as she needs to. Asked Yohanna (insert actual best friend name) to ask a question for her in class. She is also very 'snarky' for some reason. I don't get it. This i don't really feel strongly about because I only got little of it before I dropped the book so I might be wrong or my mind might change.
Also like the host of my podcast said, she suffers from 'never die bitch' syndrome. The only reason she is alive in the book is because she is the main character, that's all. If she was another person show would've have been killed before she made it into the college. She has so much plot armour, a dragon could breathe fire directly onto her and she'd use part of the metal to forge a sword to kill the dragon rather than die.
She has nothing going for her. Isn't the smartest, isn't the strongest (infact she is quite weak as mentioned in the book), isn't the fastest, isn't the most sly, isn't the most 'think on her feet' because she always wants to be horizontal with a guy, isn't the most morally upstanding,
Because come on, you don't want to kill anybody but you feed someone something they're allergic to?? Excuse me? I don't want to shoot him but let me just give poison his food with peanut butter so that way he can go into anaphylaxis and have a probability of dying a painful horrible death.
Isn't the most anything you need to be in order to be a rider. Yet not only one of the only two rarest dragons chose her but for the first time in all of history she got bonded with two dragons. Twoooooo. Howwwwwww???? Whyyyyyyy???
I don't know what they see in her because I am not a dragon, but maybe I do need reptilian eyes because I don't see it and I use glasses. If she did something to deserve it then no problem but she will literally just exist and Bam! Something rare will just fall in her lap.
She has so much plot armour she could sit in her room all day without doing a single thing and those two dragons will fully and come and see her and choose her. So much plot armour she could go alone to the face a 1000 griffins in war and they'd all bond to her.
The end.
Feel free to say why you loved it but i'm not looking for arguments. Everything was off for me in this book. But then again, I don't usually like most Y/A fantasy novels that they adopt into series (and it seems like this one might be too), so this is on par for me. If you have a Y/A fantasy novel that is not recommended by booktok and you don't think will be developed into a netflix series, fell free to recommend.

2024.06.02 11:03 CynicalCosmologist We need to do something about BO2024.

No annual compilation album is perfect. No scoring system is perfect. But the system in place is unfair to artists, detrimental to the quality of the album, and it has been like this for too long.
Before 2020, annual voting had a strict rule on voting for only one song per artist. Places on the top 30, 40 or however many songs there would be were weighted by artist votes, not individual song votes; while the most voted song per artist was included on the album.
When this rule was scrapped, it had enormous ramifications for the annual compilation albums. In my opinion, BO2020 is by far the worst of these albums. Seven of my ten votes got in, so I should have been happy. But because the way votes were counted changed substantially with no prior notice, the outcome was very different from what we expected, and very disappointing. There were several repeated occurrences of the same artist, with many of their more mediocre songs making the album. Furthermore, there was a huge imbalance between the number of Uncaged and Instinct releases, to the point where it felt like there were barely any interesting Instinct releases at all in 2020, where that couldn't be more untrue.
This change has, over the years, been shambolic. Sure, there were some better results when we had clarity on what we and Monstercat were doing. But BO2021, for example, had practically the same system in place, and there were several repeated artists. Silk was new to the label then, and the only three of forty tracks on the album were both Rocket League songs, and caught up in the initial hype of the Silk acquisition. It was better than the previous year, but it could have been better still.
Think of the artists who could've been on these albums if this rule was never discarded. It could be huge for them. Pixel Terror came in last place on BO2018, and it was a big win for a small artist. They became a household name for the Monstercat community and the bass music scene soon after. The artists at the top, on the other hand, don't need three or more releases on the album to be recognised or successful. The fact that they are there at all is a great achievement already.
We lose a lot of music diversity as well because of this rule. In 2020 there was a lot of amazing garage and future bass, none of which was on the album. In 2023, it was great seeing Bossfight, Hayve, Skybreak and Crankdat on the album, but we didn't need them to be there with more brostep again and again. We could have had some gritty neurofunk from Rebel Scum or Teddy Killerz, some experimental dubstep from Whales or Slippy, or some hard trap from Skyler or Godlands to add to the diversity of Uncaged that year, but that didn't happen.
I will say that I think it's great that Monstercat decided to count the top 10 or 30 per brand, particularly given the change to the release schedule. But I have a feeling that this won't be enough. No Mana is currently dominating the scene with Instinct while Nigel Good does the same for Silk, each having released entire LPs on their respective brands. While I would undoubtedly be delighted to see them both on BO2024, I would be devastated if they were practically the only ones in the top ten. There have been so many wonderful songs on these brands besides these artists, and they deserve recognition for their talents as well. I'd hate to see a system where only one artist with one LP gets a place on the album.
And yes, there may be flaws with the old system, e.g. how does one rank collabs? But in 2018, when songs were assigned to the first artist, it worked. It was actually cool to see Bossfight appear on the album twice, with Work and Subside being two radically different tracks. We still got plenty of diversity of brands, genres and artists that year. This was one of the best annual compilation albums in the label's history, and it was fair for artists, allowing newcomers to take the spotlight. BO2019 was also exceptional, and in spite of this "first artist in collab" rule not being in effect, we still got a great album where many different artists were celebrated. No voting system is perfect, but these problems pale in comparison to what we get without the one vote per artist rule.
I strongly believe that Monstercat should reinstate this rule sooner rather than later, and I know that I'm not alone in thinking this. There was a post over a year ago where this was discussed, and the comments were largely in agreement that this change has been bad for artists and for these compilation albums. It affects not only the value and enjoyability of the album, but the potential for lesser known artists to grow and to be recognised for their incredible music. It's not just about Best Of 2024, it's about Monstercat.

2024.06.02 11:01 Cryptalaus Dirty shoes

‘Do not bring home the mudmen.’ That’s what my uncle said to me when I went camping in the woods behind his farm. I asked him for more information but he shook his head. ‘It’s a tradition. It's just a thing people around here used to say in the old days.’ He smiled at me, even though his eyes looked rather sad. I said goodbye and started walking. Ever since my sister died, I have not been the same. My mother had sent me camping in these woods to defeat the numbness. ‘A bit of fresh air will do you good. One night alone in the woods, that's all you need!’. I remembered her words when it started raining, only one hour into my camping trip. Part of me wanted to return to the farm but my body kept walking. I have to admit that it felt good to be outside. While the rain fell, my thoughts kept going back to the funeral. It had also rained then. It was hard actually to remember a single thing about that day. All the speeches and the faces and the condolences blurred together in my head. The only moment that I did remember, was after the funeral when everyone had gone home and I lingered for a while at my sister’s grave. I joked around like we used to do but with no response, all the while crying like a child. Joking to my sister’s grave did make me feel better though it did not stop the numbness.
The afternoon passed while I thought about my sister and my future. Every couple of hours the rain stopped, only to begin again a few minutes later. The earth made squishy sounds while I trudged my way towards a good camping spot. Sometimes one of my boots got stuck in the dirt but it didn’t bother me. My sister and me, we used to go on adventures in the small woods near our school. A world of imagination and freedom awaited us there between the trees. My current trip made me reminisce about our adventures. With my shoes in the wet soil, I felt like an adventurer myself, a lonely hero on his way towards an epic quest. I smiled while the rain kept falling.
By nightfall, I had secured a cosy camping spot on a hill, high and dry from the ever-present rain. I ate the sandwiches my uncle made for me and fell asleep to the faint beginnings of a thunderstorm in the distance. I broke up my tent and returned to the farm. I felt much better, to be honest. It had finally stopped raining and the sun guided me during my walk back. I had some time for myself. Time to think about my sister but also about me. I’d finally started thinking about my future. Made some plans and jotted some things down in my journal. So it was with great enthusiasm that I returned to the world of the living. Even though the rain had stopped, the mud was still there. It was impossible to traverse the woods without getting dirty. But I didn’t care. I felt happy and a little mud had never killed anyone, right?
When I came back, my uncle wasn’t there. He had left a note that he had gone to a friend’s house and that he wouldn’t return until that evening. Because my shoes were already dirty I decided to help my uncle out and do a bit of work on the farm. I cleaned up the stables, fed the pigs and reorganized his storage. When I was ready, I left my muddy shoes outside.
I woke up to the sound of a scream. Sleep still had me in its thrall when I came down the stairs. A second scream shook me from my slumber and I raced outside, towards the sound. It came from the stable. I crossed the courtyard and saw dirty footprints everywhere, all ominous looking in the moonlight. I threw open the stable’s door but I saw it was already too late.
I want you to imagine my uncle. He’s in his forties. Short brownish hair, modest beard, big friendly eyebrows. Now imagine him again but with mud and dirty black water coming out of his eyes, ears, nose and mouth. His scream had turned into a desperate gurgle when I saw him. He sat upon his knees surrounded by three humanoid figures entirely covered in mud. At second glance, they weren’t covered in it. They were mud. Their whole body was mud. These figures stared at me or I thought they did. They had no faces but their heads turned towards me. My uncle tried to gurgle a warning or something but he had wasted his last breaths. As he fell in a puddle of saliva and dirt I ran away as fast as I could. I heard the wet squelching steps of my pursuers, reminding me of my return to the farm while it rained earlier that day. I ran inside, shoved a closet against the door and started thinking about an escape plan. Meanwhile it had started to rain again.
My initial plan was to escape through the front door. But what to do after that? Where to go? I searched for the keys to my uncle’s pickup truck but found nothing. Shit. He probably had the keys on him. Which meant I had to get all the way back to the stable and face the mudmen. I picked up a big knife from the kitchen and decided to risk it. On foot in the rain with mud everywhere I probably won’t last long, especially when my pursuers were made out of the same dirt I was walking upon. The steady rhythm of rainfall synchronised with the beating of my heart as I went outside. When I put on my shoes, I noticed they were clean as if I never even had been camping. While adrenaline raged and all my rational thinking was being crushed by raw fear, I darted towards the stable. On my way I sank halfway into a deep puddle and when I reached the doors I had become some of a mudman myself. All my muscles strained and my brain was going in survival mode as I opened the door. I was ready to stab these mudmen. To avenge my uncle and… I saw no one. The stable was empty. No mudmen but also not a trace of my uncle.
I decided to return back to the house and that was the moment I found out where all the mudmen had been. They had been gathering reinforcements. Outside the stables stood eight mudmen. Their slick featureless heads ‘looked’ at me. It was difficult to say where their legs ended or where the ground started. One of them seemed new. The mud was not as thick as with the others and pieces of farm overall were visible. It was my uncle. Before I had any time to process this, the fuckers began to make their way towards me. I quickly decided to abandon my hope of a pick-up truck and to go with my plan B. I ran away as fast as I could. They followed me, slowly but surely. Mud was everywhere as I sprinted through the woods. Water, dirt and tree branches clung to me as I tried to shake off the mudmen. They moved like boneless masses, ever merging with the ground upon which they persuaded me.
I don’t know how far or fast I ran. I passed some other farms and wondered whether they could be potential targets of the mudmen. The way my uncle had warned me this morning, seemed like folklore but real. Maybe everyone that lived there knew to watch out when walking through mud. After crossing multiple asphalt roads and some hills, I arrived in a small village. I went to the local diner and decided to call my parents to come and pick me up. I have no idea how I will explain any of this to them or to myself.
I’m currently waiting for my parents. I decided to post my story here to get my thoughts straight. Has anyone ever heard of these mudmen? Or encountered them? I wonder if there is any way to stop them. As I write this grey clouds gather once again and I just heard a conversation between two truckers. According to them, it will keep raining for the next couple of days. Better avoid the woods for a while.

The Phoenix Contact 2800491 Surge Suppressors have been a game-changer in my daily life. These handy little devices offer superior Îť/4 technology, acting as a protective shield for all my coaxial signal interfaces. I've found they're incredibly efficient and provide protection up to a peak surge current of 6 kA.
The unit is designed with a male/female SMA connector, which allows for seamless connectivity. It also houses a neat SMA plug at the end. However, make sure you have a bit of extra room, as the width measures up to 47mm. Don't worry about depth or height though, they're quite compact at 70mm x 25mm.
Despite being powerful little protectors, they're quite easy to install and maintain. The unit comes with IP55 degree of protection, which means you don't have to worry about it getting wet from a splash of liquid. It also has a pretty nifty mounting type, making it easy to pop in wherever needed.
So, if you're looking for reliable surge suppression while maintaining a neat and tidy setup, the Phoenix Contact 2800491 Surge Suppressors are just the ticket.

As a frequent off-roader, I found the FMF Racing Turbinecore Spark Arrestor a game-changer. It's been an invaluable addition to my vehicle, keeping my engine safe from potential fires while the natural beige color blends seamlessly with my vehicle's overall design. The silent operation has made my off-road expeditions more enjoyable for both me and those around me.
Although it required some minor tweaks in the beginning, the smooth installation process made it worth it.

As a curious writer, I was excited to try out the Ubiquiti PowerBeam M5 PBE-5AC-500, advertised as a wireless bridge with impressive features. Right from the moment I unboxed it, the sleek design caught my eye. The integrated radio design, powered by Ubiquiti's InnerFeed technology, promised a seamless connection and no need for cables - perfect for a clutter-free workspace.

But not anymore, because this alarm literally ensures it's on the top of my mind.
It's also interesting to note the NEMA 3R / 12 enclosure. It's specifically designed to meet the requirements of both indoor and outdoor applications, which is quite handy because it means the surge protector can work in any environment without any issues.
But of course, there's the downside. The manual disconnect switch is a useful feature, but it means that sometimes, when I need to temporarily unplug something, I have to remember to manually press the switch. It's like the surge protector is asking me for permission before I can unplug it, which can be a bit of a hassle at times. There's also the alarm contacts, which, while useful for monitoring, can also be a bit overwhelming at times. It's like being constantly tied to the surge protector, even when I don't necessarily need to be.
Overall though, the APC SurgeArrest surge suppressor is a reliable device that has helped me keep my appliances and electronics safe from the potential dangers of power surges and spikes. It's not perfect, but it sure is worth having on your side in this digital age where we heavily rely on electronics.

2024.06.02 10:47 Few_Document1566 Opinion/Theory: All the teens survive

Preface: I do not profess this opinion as the canonical and factual ending. I like the interpretations and ambiguity, which is why i believe this play is genius in its writing. This is my essay and case as to why i believe the kids ended up surviving in the end. I really tried to find where Jacob Richmond has ever said directly that they definitely don't return at all, or anything that confirmed the fate of the group aside from Jane/Penny ofc. As far as I am aware, he has only just focused on their death and has never explicitly confirmed any theories of the fate of the group. That is technically my first point I just discussed to back up the theory, but everybody knows the ambiguity of the ending has left a lot open to interpretation, so we won't count it ;). Besides, he can always one day come out and just decide the canonical fate to everybody and completely throw whatever I have here out the window, but hopefully he leaves it ambiguous. I apologize in advance for grammatical and structural mistakes. I tried to be organized with my thoughts, but i am also impatient and just type lol
1) Karnak's Prohpecy to the Group:
I know it is widely accepted that the "complete the whole" is referring to Ocean giving the prize to Jane in order to restore her "whole" and reincarnate her as her being the only one who lives in the end..... but technically, you could actually argue that the fortune means that when Ocean, who is the one who is the final and toughest person to come to terms and find peace in her death, gives the prize to Jane Doe, who was the biggest "loser" out of all of them, it will complete the "whole"....... as in the GROUP as a "whole". Ocean giving the prize to Jane Doe was the last and final resolution of the entire group as a "whole". They were all complete. There was nothing else that they needed to figure out or resolve after that and they all became complete and content in the end. They became whole and fulfilled the prophecy Karnak made, which funny enough, made the prophecy whole itself. Everything was made "whole". Personally, I think it is more face value, far fetched, and easy to assume that the "whole" meant JUST Jane Doe being complete. Focusing too much on the prize itself, and not the meaning of what the whole journey of the play/plot was meant to be about really. Karnak's prize of returning one person to life, i believe, was a red herring anyway. Karnak knows way too much about the group and it would defeat the whole purpose and have not nearly as much of an impact if he told everybody, "All of you will return to life if you learn your lessons 🤗". So, to assume the widely accepted assumption most people go with and it is nothing more... makes the idea only Jane was given life (the prize) just more flimsy in my eyes.
2) Wording, Context, and Specific Choice of Words That Were Written:
Ofc, Jane gets a life and is reincarnated we know this. Notice how that isn't the same as being brought back to life if you want to get technical though. Reincarnation and resurrection are very separate definitions when it comes to death and have been widely accepted as such. Her actual body and who she was, was not actually resurrected. Also, religions, most notably Hinduism, always tell us that reincarnation is the CONTINUATION of life. Life never stopped. As a matter of fact, Jane sings this in the beginning and end of the play. This is why a lot of people believe the group is in a constant time loop. It is a complete restart going from being alive.... to being alive in a different form for Jane. Amd it is a restart for the group which I will explain further. And if we are to interpret resurrection and reincarnation as separate, then nobody actually won the prize that Karnak said would be given. If the ending shows time being manipulated and reversed (or they were moved to another timeline. Gonna get into that later lol)..... then how is one dead if they never were to have died in the first place 👀 (Manipulation of time). So in a way, WE WERE ALL RIGHT. They did die in the timeline they were originally in, time technically did loop around to the point of where they were before, and they all are bow alive. Would be f'ing mind blowing.
3) Karnak's Reliability, Prophecies, and Misleading Nature:
Tieing into the previous point of evidence.... Karnak has been established since the beginning of the story to be misleading and not very trustworthy in what he says to be the entire truth or not the ONLY truth. However, that is not to say what he says has not come to fruition. All of his prophecies come true. Now, you may think that if I say this, then I just contradicted my point about him saying he would bring someone back to life in the end. That's where I am going to bring up the specific wording and how Karnak has operated in his prophecies and his nature as a character. See, even though they weren't playing a game as established in the ending..... Karnak explicitly stated when they arrived in Limbo that he wanted to play a game. That game was part of the red herring and the misleading nature of his character. It was a game for Karnak not them. Karnak constantly shifted the rules and regulations of the game throughout the play (never lied), but you know when he is clearly giving a prophecy (Ex: The winner and the loser make the whole). If the game never existed (as evident by the fact they were never actually competing, let alone even competing for a prize)..... If there wasn't a game being played.... then that would mean the prize was not the actual reward that was even given. So then you may ask, "What would that mean about the prophecy of the winner and the loser making the whole then if that is the case? Doesn't that contradict that theory?". That's where wording is very tricky and amazing about this play. A winner and a loser can be correlated to that of a conflict, battle or endeavor. You could actually refer to life as being the endeavor. Ocean was the one who wanted to win the most out of life, and Jane was the one who lost the most out of life. In Limbo, that continues to be the case. Ocean still is striving to win at her life (one who wants to win the most) while Jane can't and is eternally labeled as, literally, the loser. So, who wins and loses doesn't have to be in the context of an actual game or contest. And if you want to say there was a contest or game, then the only kind was with themselves. They were MAKING it a contest initially if anything.
Karnak has never lied. If there was never a game,, then there were never rules, and if there were never rules, then he really has never lied. Mislead? Yes. If you believe it was a game, then it would only be a game from Karnak's perspective. He would make changes, but has never actually lied.
4) Karnak's Powers and What He Was Going to Say Before His Death:
By the end of the play, at this point, it's absolutely perfectly reasonable to assume Karnak has the ability to bring all of them back if he were to be able to do everything else he has done in the show. He has never stated that he isn't capable of it, and just says that he is able to bring someone back who wins. Powers we know he is capable of are (and not limited to as far as we know) time manipulation, spacial manipulation, controlling life and death, prophecising, resurrection (we actually don't even know if he is capable of this technically, but probably is), reincarnation, and being an overall omnipotent and all knowing being. I know it is even more of a deeper dive, but if they are in a time loop and the last time we see the group, is when they are back on the coaster..... who is to say he didn't take them to a time where the accident doesn't happen? Somebody said that they are just constantly in a never ending loop on the coaster at the end cause of the screams and the gestures? But idk how we would get that when a roller coaster has multiple dips so idk how you would get the conclusion from just gestures. I would like to mention that Karnak was about to mention another prophecy before his death, so there clearly was something that we are meant to try and figure out what it could be that he didn't mention. I just know there is something significant about the number 7 that ties into it somehow, cause I haven't been able to figure out the significance of that number besides the time of when they were riding the coaster. There has to be more to it.
5) The Light:
Ok, I just know someone is going to say something about the light, and I totally understand..... but it's not enough to counter everything else that was previously mentioned. Jane and the group had different colors for the light because they both traveled different paths of their return. And also, you could easily interpret the change of light for the group to show that they were back in the carnival setting and they just made the light green because they were matching the carnival color aesthetic. It's just something that I get is subtle and should definitely be taken into consideration, but it's just not enough. You would have to examine if there is any symbolism in color within the story and if they are actually associated with anything in the play itself, which as far as I can tell.... the white light is the only symbolic color I could discern.
P.S. I'm sorry, but I flat out am going to say that the theory that Jane Doe always was Penny is not believable imo cause if you know of Legoland, people would DEFINITELY know who she was, her fingerprints, law enforcement and the school having a strong enough inpression from her criminal activity and how unhinged she was when she was alive. There's just no way her death would have gone unnoticed if she was Penny before she died. So, she was definitely reincarnated as Penny. Not resurrected. You could argue that she got reincarnated as Penny, and then that is the actual Penny from Legoland, but like........ what would be the contextual clues and evidence if that's the case? The only thing would be that Jane (whoever she was before death) and Penny both go to the same school canonically, but like...... Penny also has a brother who goes to the same school..... so even if her parents were locked up while she was dead, her brother would've known so very easily. To say she didn't have a brother pre Jane Doe would be saying so without any actual contextual evidence.

2024.06.02 10:22 The_ghost_of_spectre Is the EAC dream dying?

Is the EAC dream dying?
The East African Community (EAC) is facing a perfect storm of challenges that threaten to derail its progress and unity. A recent decision by Kenya's Supreme Court has dealt a significant blow to the authority of the regional court, the East African Court of Justice (EACJ), while a crippling financial crisis, fueled by member states' failure to pay their dues, is pushing the EAC to the brink.
Kenya's Supreme Court Flexes Its Muscles:
In a landmark ruling, Kenya's Supreme Court asserted its national sovereignty, declaring that the EACJ cannot overrule its decisions. This move effectively limits the regional court's influence in Kenya and sets a potentially dangerous precedent for other member states to follow. The EACJ, once envisioned as a supranational judicial body capable of holding member states accountable, now finds its jurisdiction curtailed and its authority undermined.
The Money Troubles: A Crisis of Confidence
The EAC's financial woes are equally alarming. With most member states failing to meet their financial obligations, the organization is struggling to keep the lights on, let alone pursue ambitious regional projects. Only Kenya and Tanzania have fulfilled their commitments, leaving the EAC scrambling for funds to maintain its operations and credibility.
A Bleak Outlook for East African Unity.
These twin crises have cast a dark cloud over the EAC's future. The weakened regional court and the financial instability threaten to unravel the fabric of East African unity. Without a strong judicial mechanism to resolve disputes and a reliable source of funding to support regional initiatives, the EAC risks becoming a toothless tiger, unable to fulfill its mandate of promoting integration and development in the region.
Perhaps the EAC is breathing its last? Let's wait and see.

2024.06.02 10:10 soulsuck3rs Dome shaped bumps inside of nose and roof of mouth

26 yr old, AFAB, uses nicotine vape (3yrs), Diagnosed with Hashimotos and RA, 170lbs Meds: Wellbutrin, Rexulti, Levothyroxine
For a while now, maybe a little over a year, I’ve noticed a bit of a bump on the side of my nose (outside of nostril). When I investigated recently, I realized there’s a dome shape to it, where the apex is on the outside and it creates an outward crater on the inside. I’ve also noticed there’s now multiple smaller ones, they’re QUITE small but seem to be getting larger. I don’t have any sort of coloration on the outside, can’t see the inside. Within the last two weeks, I’ve developed the same thing on the roof of my mouth, right between the hard and soft palate. It’s towards the same side that the ones on my nose are (the left). Initially the one in my mouth was a bump, but it’s also turning into a concave shape.
I plan on seeing my doctor when I can, I’m currently without transport and she’s an hour away, so I’m just seeking some insight, kinda panicking about it because I can’t really find anything on google that fits what’s going on. I have been having weird symptoms in general lately (ofc my biggest fear is cancer) but I can’t tell if something is going on or if it’s just a worsening of my other symptoms (extreme chronic pain in joints and muscles & fatigue,as well as on and off breathing issues (which seems to be fatigue related) where I just can’t get a deep breath. Just adding extra context.
Thank you!

2024.06.02 10:03 ayush017 Class 10th Physics

Class 10th Physics
i will recommend this book for physics, everything is given in an organised manner :)
So I'll be sharing my experience about how I studied physics during my prep. most of u were dming me for physics. so here it is :)
  1. Force- this chapter is a cakewalk, but I struggled at first. make sure you know how the system works. practice it well. never ignore the illustrations given at the end of the chapter. Practice numericals from SELINA. don't skip it. never skip the back exercises.
  2. Work, Power and Energy- this chaprer is easy, so go slow grasping the concept. you may refer to alakh sir's lectures available on YouTube. from this chapter onwards START MAKING A FORMULA SHEET. write down the name of the chapter and the relevant formulas related to it so that it doesn't gets messed up.
learn important relations, for e.g. Power = F*v. this is an important relation, this itself will help you solve many questions. so yeah make sure that u dont ignore it.
Learn how to draw PULLEY SYSTEM. and even normal pulleys. write down which pulley system helps in which activity, i.e. as a speed multiplier or smth else. PRACTICE THE PULLEY DIAGRAMS AS MANY TIMES AS YOU CAN. IT IS DEFINITELY ASKED IN THE EXAMS.
  1. Light (COMPLETE UNIT)- Go on with the diagrams, the important ones are-
(i) when light passes from denser to rare and vice versa, (ii) light passing through a glass slab, (iii) prism diagrams (all) (iv) apparent depth and real depth illustrating examples, that pencil one types. (v) DO those prism diagrams (equilateral prism, 30-60-90 prism, etc)
they are v important one of the above is asked every year.
learn the important relations about refractive index and shi-. practice questions and solve all the numericals, although there aren't many. the critical angle one, and the apparent depth one is more important. so focus on that apart from this, solve the ratio questions of refractive indices.
IN LENS, PRACTICE RAY DIAGRAMS VERY WELL, THEY ARE A COMPULSION EVERY YEAR. PRACTICE NUMERICALS AND BE THOROUGH WITH THEM. SOLVE ALL THE BACK EXERCISES OF THIS CHAPTER ATLEAST THRICE. LIGHT IS AN EASY AND YET THE MOST SCORING CHAPTER.
IN SPECTRUM, LEARN THE ORDER OF EM WAVES, AND AT LAST LEARN WHY DOES THE SKY APPEAR BLUE, OR DURING SUNSET RED, ETC. THEY FORM UP A GOOD AMOUNT OF REASONING QUESTIONS.
  1. SOUND- in this chapter the most important part is ECHOES, USES OF ECHOES, PROPERTIES OF ULTRASOUNDS. NUMERICALS BASED ON ECHOES. DO NOT SKIP VIBRATIONS WALA PART, ESPECIALLY RESONANCE. IT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE CHAPTER, ILLUSTRATIONS AS WELL AS THE DEFINITION. jitni bhi illustrations hai do understand cuz vaisi ki vaisi utha ke dedete hai exams me. Loudness, Intensity, Note, Loudness, all of this has to be studied subjectively. learning the factors on which they depend and identifying the waves which is a shrill one and which is a flat tone.
  2. ELECTRICITY- nightmare of all class 10th students. hehe, dont panick go slow and be calm, this chapter also holds a lot of importance from exam pov. firstly understand the definitions, resistance, current and learn calculating them, potential at a point, Potential difference. PLEASE DONT MUG UP THE DEFINITIONS, RATHER FOCUS ON UNDERSTANDING THEM. MAKE GOOD USE OF THAT FORMULA SHEET WHICH YOU CREATED, IS CHAPTER ME IT WILL HELP YOU A LOT. PRACTICE ALL THE QUESTIONS DONT LEAVE EVEN A SINGLE ONE. refer to alakh sir's videos or personally I studied from PHYSICS BRO (VAIBHAV AGARWAL).
STUDY FROM YOUR SCHOOL, OR FROM YOUTUBE, this chapter is a bit tough so you should study from someone. PRACTICE AS MUCH PARALLEL/SERIES/MIXED COMBINATIONS OF BOTH. this is the only chapter in which I'll tell u to and search for other resources and more amount of questions. this is an important chapter. learn the factors affecting resistance, specific resistance. NOTE DOWN WLL THE IMPORTANT POINTS AND LATER SUMMARISE THEM. I'll suggest ki study from a teacher.
IN HOUSEHOLD ELECTRICITY- UNDERSTAND HOW ELECTRICITY IS BEING GENERATED AND IS BEING TRANSFERRED TO OUR HOUSES AND AT WHAT VOLTAGE. understand what is the colour coding of the wires, try fitting the concept in your head cuz learning won't help. understand where the live wire and neutral wires are connected. understand where fuse is connected, in which wire and what happens if it is connected in some other wire. PLS COMPLETE THE STAIRCASE WIRING, this is an important part which clears most of the concepts. if you have studied well then staircase wiring is a cakewalk. study the switches and precautions while touching the switches, etc.
ELECTROMAGNETISM- less amount of questions are asked from this one, but DONT SKIP. I'll again suggest you go to YouTube and study from someone, this is a concept based chapter. I'll suggest PHYSICS BRO (VAIBHAV AGARWAL), OR YOU MAY GO FOR ALAKH SIR'S OLD VIDEOS.
OERSTD's Experiment, RIGHT HAND THUMB RULE, RIGHT HAND RULE, LEFT HAND RULE, SNOW RULE, practice these rules irl, by placing your hand on the table and altering the direction of current. bring what you study on the textbooks onto the table and see it practically, you'll enjoy. AC AND DC MOTORS firstly learn the energy conversion, then the DIAGRAMS HAS TO BE IN YOUR MUSCLE MEMORY TRY TO PRACTICE IT AS MUCH AS YOU CAN, working can be skipped if it's not in syllabus but you can study it though a Lil more isn't harmful :)
RADIOACTIVITY- this is also one of the easiest chapters. learn the definitions of atomic number, mass, mirror isobars, isobars etc. and nextly study the properties of alpha, beta and gamma radiations, this itself will solve most of the questions. then practice questions like in where from a box radiations are being emmited you have to identify which ones are alpha beta or gamma. then what happens to atomic number and mass when alpha beta and gamma particles are released. this much is enough. the rest of it, is precautions to be taken w radioactive materials. and also one more important thing. LEARN THE NUCLEAR FISSION REACTION OF URANIUM AND WHATEVER IS GIVEN. IT IS ASKED IN THE EXAM.
that's it with physics :) hope it helps.

2024.06.02 10:01 br153 Print outs with smudges. Common issue with low toner?

Question:
Background:
-I have a new Brother DCP-L2620DW. Been using it for 1 month now with its original starter toner (max x700 pages).
-Smudges appear about once in every 15-20 printouts after LCD indicated low toner. The smudge is always in the same corner of the page. I think it really started happening after toner is low and I put the settings to 'continue' to print.
-Not sure if this is a common occurrence during low toner and/or when one uses the 'continue' to print setting.

All Those Who Follow the Way of the Greatest Creator Will Have a Wonderful Future

As the messenger of the Greatest Creator, I can offer you the most reliable guarantee that all those who follow the Way of the Greatest Creator will secure a wonderful future and will enjoy the infinite pleasure of life in the kingdom of the Greatest Creator—the long-enduring Lifechanyuan era, Thousand-year World, Ten-thousand-year World, the Elysium World and its Celestial Island Continent.
This is the unchangeable law. The combination of sperms and eggs gives birth to the carrier of LIFE. The combination of seeds with suitable soil will make the seeds germinate, grow, flower, and bear fruits. The south pole and north pole of magnets are attracted to each other. The simultaneous intake of vitamin C and shrimps will cause the formation of arsenic in the body and make a person die of bleeding. Velocity multiplied by time is the distance covered. If an object reaches a speed of 11.2 kilometers per second, it can escape the gravitation force of the earth, and if it reaches a speed of 16.7 kilometers per second, it can fly out of the solar system. The still water without the infusion of running water will stink from putridity and eventually dries up. The reaction between copper oxide and dilute sulphuric acid will result in copper sulphate and water. In Euclidean geometry the angles of a triangle adds up to 180 degrees. On the earth one will return to the starting point if he keeps going forward by following a certain longitude or latitude. Water will turn into ice at zero degree Celsius. These and many other laws are necessary rules to be obeyed.
We will reach any place that our footsteps guide us to. If we break laws, we may end up in prison. In autumn we will harvest what we have sowed in the fertile soil in spring. According to the principle of gravity and attraction, kind actions and kind ideas will beget good results, while evil actions and evil intentions will incur evil consequences. If you chase the sun, you can escape from darkness, if you chase darkness, you can hardly see light. “A man is known by his friends”. “He who is unjust is doomed to destruction”. One will get intoxicated if he drinks too much, and will have a bulging stomach if he eats too much. “A mountain dweller knows well the twittering of birds and a fisherman has a good knowledge of fishes”. Worship Buddha and you will acquire the Buddhahood, seek the way of immortality and you will attain the spiritual state of a celestial being. The buildup of quantitative changes will result in qualitative changes once the critical point is surpassed. For anything, emergence and disappearance and life and death exist in unity of opposites. Each flower is a bodhi, and each grain of sand reflects a world. The universe is holographic. The two poles are communicable and convertible. Things will develop in the opposite direction if they become extreme. Gazing for long impairs blood, lying for long impairs qi, sitting for long impairs muscles, standing for long impairs bone, and walking for long impairs tendons. A benevolent person is kind in words, actions and look. If a person performs three deeds of kindness every day, he will be granted blessing by the heaven in three years. A ferocious and evil person is wicked in words, actions and look. If a person performs three deeds of unkindness every day, he will be dealt disaster by the heaven in three years. All these and many others are necessary rules not to be violated.
It is an inevitable and necessary law and principle that those who follow the Way of the Greatest Creator will all enjoy a beautiful future.
The Greatest Creator reigns supreme in the universe. The Greatest Creator is the omnipotent boss of the universe. People who comply to the will of the Greatest Creator and do things in accordance with the will of the Greatest Creator will surely win the blessing and favor of the Greatest Creator. If the son ask for steamed bun, the father will not give him the stone. If we obey the Greatest Creator, the Greatest Creator will grant us special rewards. The Greatest Creator is eternal. If we follow the way of the Greatest Creator, we will also become eternal. The Greatest Creator is the source of wisdom and the birthplace of LIFE. If we follow the way of the Greatest Creator, we can obtain wisdom and new LIFE. The Greatest Creator is love and truth, so if we follow the way of the Greatest Creator we can win love and find truth. In the universe, there are 36-dimensional space, 20 parallel worlds, and heaven and hell. If we obey the Greatest Creator and follow the way of the Greatest Creator, the Greatest Creator will certainly arrange us in the most beautiful space and world. The Greatest Creator will absolutely not assign good thing to rebels and bad things to obedient people. If good things are assigned to rebels and bad things to the obedient people, then where are justice and laws in the world? As a result, there would be no relations between cause and effect, and everything will be put upside down. Actually everything is in good order. Therefore, we will surely have a wonderful future if we hold the Greatest Creator in awe and respect, conform to the Greatest Creator, believe in the Greatest Creator and follow the way of the Greatest Creator.
“Tathagata just tells us truth, and does not tell lies”. Jesus Christ, Buddha Sakyamuni, and celesial being Lao Tze are all Tathagata. They will not cheat us, and they can see no need to cheat us. Put in a nutshell, their teachings and instructions just tell us to follow the way of the Greatest Creator. Follow the way of the Greatest Creator, and we can enter the kingdom of the Greatest Creator, the Elysium world, and we can attain immortality. According to the values of Lifechanyuan, those who follow the way of the Greatest Creator will have their future in Thousand-year World, Ten-thousand-year World, Elysium World, and its Celestial Island Continent.
All are inevitable. You can become what you believe in. You will achieve corresponding results from the way you take. The brightest, the easiest, the most direct, and the most beneficial way in the world is the way of the Greatest Creator. The most nutritious thing in the world is mother’s milk, the best way in the world to obtain the most beautiful future is the way of the Greatest Creator.

2024.06.02 09:53 mascotbeaver104 How can I plug my 2017 Chevy Volt into a Nema 14-30 outlet?

Title basically says it all. Live in an apartment building, used to charge in regular 15amp 3 prong wall outlets, but the landlord recently reassigned all the EVs to spaces with access to what appear to be Nema 14-30 outlets and appears to have shut off power to all other outlets.
Right now I just have the standard charger that came with the car, wondering what kind of adapter I need to plug it in without causing a fire, as I'm not particularly electrically adept. As I said, I just have the regular charger that came with the car which appears to be labelled for 12amps at 120 volts, no mention of 240 volt capability anywhere.
Thanks!

2024.06.02 09:43 Cryptalaus Dirty shoes

2024.06.02 09:16 Defiant_Ad_4083 Am I ready to let go and move on? *its about friendship*

I have a college friend who I have been together for three years. I don't know if I would like to label each other best friends but we stick together to survive college. I will skip to the part where I feel something has changed. She started drifting away and found another group of friends. They are bold, outgoing, and fun to be with. At first, I was comfortable around them and it seemed she was enjoying their company. I was included in the group but something doesn't feel right. I feel so stupid for not seeing these signs. I should have left and never stuck around with them. I only stayed because my friend let's call her "Candace" (not her real name) was there.
I noticed that when I join their conversations they always cut me off. I feel invisible and I feel silenced. Candace just laughed and enjoyed their company meanwhile I'm feeling left out. They talk about things I don't even relate to and also topics I'm not comfortable with like topics about sexuality and relationships. They make sex jokes, talk about how many times they go to clubs, and stuff like that. There is nothing wrong with how they like to engage in those topics, I just don't like the fact that whenever I try to jam or even converse with them they always cut me off.
Candace loves their company and I don't even know if she even wants me with her new friends. She keeps clinging with the girl who keeps making jokes which btw is not funny for me atleast. I will not talk about this person who she clings because Im not in good terms with her. She has this intimidating vibe and she always take lead on all of the conversations. So all I can say she is super talkative.
When they take selfies and do tiktok dances its only them. Their stories in their socials its just them being happy going out together without me. They don't even ask me out and this make me question myself am I considered as their friend? It made me insecure and my anxiety of being alone clouded my thoughts. After the realization of these signs *there were far more signs that I noticed but I won't mention them for privacy reasons* here I am questioning myself am I ready to let go and move on? I have the fear when I graduate I don't have any friends and I'm all alone. I might even hold a grudge to myself why did I fail to take action and just watched myself suffer from betrayal.
If you read this can you recommend or advice me what to do? I don't have any friend to talk to about my situation rn sadly...

Over the past few weeks, I've been using the Wayne Water Systems WSB1275 battery in my basement sump pump. This maintenance-free, sealed lead-acid battery pack has made my life easier and more worry-free, thanks to its 75Ah capacity and 12V voltage. With its handles making it easy to move around, I am now free from the hassle of constantly monitoring and maintaining the battery levels.
One of the most impressive features of this battery is the consistent power supply it provides, ensuring that my backup sump pump remains ready to kick in at a moment's notice. This reliable performance has given me peace of mind, especially during the recent storms that have brought about power outages in my area. The battery also charges quickly, so I'm always prepared for any situation.
However, there is one drawback I've encountered. While the battery works reliably, the instructions provided for installation are quite complicated and could have been simplified. Additionally, I did notice that the battery's capacity can sometimes be slightly less than advertised, which might require an adjustment in your expectations.
In summary, the Wayne Water Systems WSB1275 battery offers a top-quality, reliable solution for my basement sump pump needs. With its impressive charging capabilities and consistent power supply, I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a reliable and easy-to-use battery pack for their sump pump system.

I recently tried the Thunderbolt Magnum 12V 160 CCA AGM Battery, and I must say, it has some impressive features. What stood out to me is the rugged design and the versatile top-mounted terminals that make it a suitable choice for various generators, including those made by Predator.
While using this battery, I found it to be quite efficient in providing constant voltage input, which is crucial for an electric start generator. It successfully powered both my generator and an ATV without any issues. The battery's compact size made it convenient to install and mount on the generator.
However, one downside I encountered was the reversed polarity terminals. It took me a bit of time to figure out the issue during installation. Additionally, some customers mentioned facing difficulty in finding replacements for this battery, as most other units do not fit the same specifications.
Overall, the Thunderbolt Magnum 12V 160 CCA AGM Battery has proven to be a reliable and functional option for powering electric start generators. But be aware of the possible reversed polarity terminals and the difficulty in finding compatible replacements.

Imagine a situation where you're stuck on the side of the road, and your car isn't starting. You pull out a small device, no bigger than a pencil box, and within minutes, your car roars to life. That's the magic of a portable jump starter.
The Mighty Max Battery 12V 22Ah is a versatile device that serves as a replacement for your Die Hard Portable Jump Starter. It's a maintenance-free 12V 22AH Sealed Lead Acid battery, known for its spill-proof nature and high discharge rate. This battery is designed to handle a wide range of temperatures, making it suitable for use in both high and low temperatures.
One of the most impressive things about this battery is its ability to resist shocks and vibration. It can be mounted in any position, making it a convenient option for those who are always on the move. And let's not forget the bonus of having a long service life and the ability to recover from deep discharge situations, which is particularly useful in emergency situations.
Now, let's talk about my personal experience with the Mighty Max Battery. I've used it to jump-start my car during a surprise power outage, and it worked like a charm. It's compact, which made it easy to store in my glove compartment, and it fits perfectly into the port on my Die Hard jump starter.
However, there were a few drawbacks. The product doesn't come with a wire harness or mounting accessories, which means you'll have to purchase those separately if you don't already have them. Additionally, the battery's weight might be a concern for some, but for me, it wasn't a deal-breaker.
Overall, the Mighty Max Battery 12V 22Ah is a powerful and reliable option for anyone in need of a portable jump starter. I've been using the Schumacher DSR ProSeries Jump Starter in my daily life for a few months now, and I must say it's been quite the reliable companion. When I needed to jumpstart my car the other day, it took me just a few minutes to get everything connected and running smoothly. The 525 cranking amps and 350 cold cranking amps really make a difference in those crucial moments.
One thing that really stood out to me was the easy-to-read digital display and ON/OFF switch. They made it easy for me to keep track of the battery life and to ensure I wasn't draining it unnecessarily. However, I did notice that the 60-inch cable length wasn't quite long enough to reach my car when it was parked in the driveway, so I had to make a few adjustments.
I particularly appreciate Schumacher's safety features like the reverse hook-up safeguard alarm, which makes sure that the clamps are connected to the battery correctly. Having this safety feature has given me peace of mind when jumpstarting my car or helping friends in need.
This jump starter is well-built and seems to be quite durable. It's a little bit heavy to carry around, but it's certainly sturdy enough to handle the job. The 2.1-amp USB port and 12V DC outlet added bonus features that I've come to appreciate during my camping trips and other outdoor activities.
In conclusion, I highly recommend the Schumacher DSR ProSeries Jump Starter. It has proven to be an invaluable addition to my daily life, and I know I can always count on it when I need to get my car back up and running.

One of the best things about this battery is its high output. With a max of 3,300 amps, it really powers my speakers. The M6 terminal hardware which comes alongside also adds to the convenience. The battery is classified for OE fit and runs on a wide range of watts, making it versatile for different audio setups.
However, the packaging of the battery wasn't as satisfactory. The battery box came damaged and there were instances where the label peeled off. As far as the terminal hardware, it seems some customers found it missing from their package.
Despite those minor issues, I'm still impressed with this battery's performance. It's durable, reliable, and has definitely elevated the audio quality of my ride. Overall, I would say it's a great power source for any serious audio setup.

Firstly, the AGM Super Cycle technology is truly remarkable. Unlike traditional batteries, these super cycle batteries can handle occasional or frequent partial discharges without any issues. Their smaller size and reduced weight make them an attractive choice for those who are particular about the battery size.
However, there are a few drawbacks that I noticed too. While the battery is designed to prevent sulfation during deep discharge, one has to be careful with frequent deep discharges, as it could reduce the battery's life span. Also, the slightly higher voltage during recharge can strain some battery connections.
Overall, I am quite impressed with this battery's performance. It has proven to be reliable, easy to use, and quite efficient, even with the occasional drawbacks.

The Super Cycle battery's new paste in the positive plates allows for slightly less sensitivity to softening.
Another aspect I appreciate is the significant reduction in sulfation during deep discharge, thanks to new additives in the electrolyte. However, I have noticed that the weight of this battery seems to be fractionally more compared to its standard Victron counterparts.

Additionally, while the battery offers a decent amount of capacity, the performance under heavy load conditions can be somewhat inconsistent at times.
In summary, the Mighty Max battery, despite its minor flaws, has been a reliable and long-lasting addition to my device setup. Its portability could be improved slightly, but overall, I am quite pleased with my purchase.

2024.06.02 08:52 CurtisEffland Music Management Sim - Which route should I take?

Hi guys,

It's been a long-term dream of mine to create a music simulation game. Think if Chart Wars & Game Dev Tycoon had a baby, kind of sim.

I have no prior experience so this will take some time. I will be using Unity for this so I will need to start with smaller UI projects first, to familiarize myself with the whole process, before I jump into the project.

I'm in the very early stages of prototyping with Figma to get a sense of what the in-game options will be, and I want to figure out which way I should go, and I was hoping you could help.

What do you think you would enjoy more:
  1. A business management simulation game like Chart Wars, where you focus on managing a label with different artists, finances, etc.
  2. Game Dev Tycoon style, where YOU are the artist and your job is to skill up, score gigs, grow your fame, set records and become a global superstar
  3. OR the best of both worlds: Start your journey as an artist (Option 2) and when you retire, you can manage your label and continue your legacy as a manager (Option 1)

Now, it goes without saying that the third option will take the longest to implement, but it could also be the most fun? Maybe... Game Dev Tycoon has been a favorite of mine and many others while keeping the focus on the 'individual' if that makes sense, rather than the business management side of things.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

2024.06.02 08:50 RipGlittering6760 Strange Compazine reaction?

Strange Compazine reaction?
Hello! I'm not looking for medical advice or for anything like that, I'm just wondering if anyone out there has had a similar experience to Compazine as I did.
In December of 2022, I had the worst migraine I had ever had and was on day 3 of non-stop pain. I left work early and went to Urgent Care and they quickly sent me over the the ER. After getting my blood drawn and talking with the doctor, I was prescribed an IV migraine cocktail and IV fluids to help me.
About 30ish minutes later I was hit with this extreme fear. Later found out this is called Sense of Impending Doom. I all of a sudden felt like I could trust no one and needed out, I wanted to tear the IV out of my arm and just run. I was scared for my life and didn't want anyone near me or to touch me.
My family member who was with me said I had sat straight up, and my eyes were massive and darting back and forth, I was shaking, and that I looked like a terrified animal. She said she barely recognized me and that when I looked at her, it was like she was a stranger to me and I wouldn't look at her for more than a few seconds. She ran to grab a nurse and they quickly came back.
I don't remember too much after this, but they said "This happens, it's just the Compazine, don't worry! It's not an allergy. We're just going to give you another dose of benadryl." They did that, I passed out about 2 minutes later, and then slept for another 3 hours.
When I woke up, the pain was gone, and I felt both tired (mentally and emotionally) but also like I had a sugar rush. I take stimulant medication and it was a similar feeling to when I take a higher dose of that. I was able to go home and go to sleep no problem.
The next day however I felt extremely restless and couldn't get comfortable for more than a minute or two. I was constantly up and readjusting. My doctor did later tell me that this sounded like Akathisia but she couldn't be 100% sure. My leg muscles felt tense and I could only walk on my toes without it feeling discomfort. I was also super antsy/anxious and was afraid to leave my house.
The day after that was similar just turned down by about 50%. And by day 4 I was back to "normal".
When looking back in my charts, there's no mention of my reaction. Just that "another dose of benadryl was given".
When discussing my reaction with my doctor she says that it sounds possible but that she's never seen that reaction to compazine before, especially not for that long. She also been put in my charts not to give me compazine again.
Has anyone else had this reaction or similar to Compazine?
I also included the picture my family member took of the labels with what was in my Migraine Cocktail that night. Personal information has been crossed out.
TLDR; Had a bad reaction to Compazine that included Sense of Impending Doom as well as potential Akathsia for the next two days. Looking for others with similar experiences.

2024.06.02 08:36 Maleficent_Air_1318 Tensing Leg Muscles.. Without tensing them?

Alright, I know it sounds weird, but I’ve learned I can do this thing where if I’m laying down and all my muscles are relaxed, I can hyper focus on the muscles and feel them tense up or something, but nothing ACTUALLY moves or happens to them, no flexing, no movement, nothing. It kinda reminds me of going down a hill or sudden drop on a roller coaster with that kinda tingling sensation if I do it for long enough.
  1. Can anyone explain to me what that sensation is that I feel when I do it
  2. Is it possible dangerous whatsoever (I feel like it’s definitely not, but it never hurts to ask)
  3. Can anyone else do it? Just so I know I’m not alone in knowing how weird it feels.

2024.06.02 08:32 FruitRoutine9745 Scared for life. I'm only 24

Hey guys I don't know how to handle this anymore.
I am thinking I have impending bulbar motor neurone disease diagnosis and I'm progressing so fast. 4 months in.
I think my earliest sign was a vagal dysfunction which was a cough that didn't seem to go away with clear chest x rays.
Then March i experienced intense vertigo.
Follows speech issues for which I've been annoying you guys for a while. My voice feels like I was mumbling difficulty pronouncing d and t sounds and i looked up Google back then too and it seemed I have palatal problem. All this with breathing problems, feeling very breathy after reading etc.
I was adjusting but knowing full well something is off with my voice. Me and my sister are like best of friends and she herself said well you sound a bit off when she visited us and i sat with her to ask my problems.
Now may 15th is when I get the biggest fear. Lip paralysis and jaw clonus. Something umn going on.
That too my doctors were very dismissing. They didn't even do a full cranial nerve examination on me. Then i notice my uvula deviation.. i come here rant again and then some say who knows it's been there forever...only it hasn't.
Now since past two days i sound very nasal. And i choke in sleep. I don't even want to think of the worst but there's nothing else left. Issues with 7,5, 10 and11 cranial nerves.
Lmn and umn too? I know some may get annoyed I'm playing doctor here but which doctor sends you home without checking your cranial nerves when my symptoms are bulbar?? I'm literally loosing it.
My face twitched like crazy before lip muscle paralysis doesn't this just scream bulbar? I've seen other different diagnosis like ms but my mri is as clean as it can be..
I'd get an emg but is there any point? My features seem umn and if some lmn is involved I'm sure I'll come with a diagnosis..I have zero trust in my doctors, they either try oh you are too young, or just scared of telling me because they know I'll probably breakdown.
I know this isn't to scare anyone but health anxiety can exist with actual problems i hate doctors who don't be honest and just dismiss. I wasted so much money in three months, I am not blaming them for a pre symptomatic phase but to write a psych appointment without even listening to me. They test my stupid reflexes when I say my bulbar is what's going on.

2024.06.02 08:29 Judge-Available Question regarding break statement used with label

class BreakLabelDemo { public static void main(String args[]) { // label first first : { second : { third : { // Before break System.out.println("Before the break statement"); System.out.println("This won't execute."); } break second; } // First block System.out.println("This is after second block."); } }
The above code works fine .
class BreakLabelDemo { public static void main(String args[]) { // label first first : { second : { third : { // Before break System.out.println("Before the break statement"); System.out.println("This won't execute."); } break second; System.out.println("This won't execute."); } // First block System.out.println("This is after second block."); } }
The above code produces error
error: unreachable statement System.out.println("This won't execute.");
class BreakLabelDemo { public static void main(String args[]) { boolean t = true; // label first first : { second : { third : { // Before break System.out.println("Before the break statement"); System.out.println("This won't execute."); } if(t) break second; System.out.println("This won't execute."); } // First block System.out.println("This is after second block."); } }
The above code works fine ignoring the last line of the 2nd block code i.e print statement.
My question is that why is it in the 2nd code if I don't use if statement then the error is given compared to the 3rd code and in the first code when I don't have any line of code after break then the break seems to be working fine. My understanding is that as break is a control statement so if there is line of code inside the enclosing block after break then if i use it without if statement there is no point in writing the code in the first place after break statement due to which unreachable statement error is being thrown . But If i write if statement that means only when the condition is met the execution will terminate from that block else the control will go to next line.
