As the title says. I called Gieco today (Saturday) for a quote. I said "To be clear, I don't want to sign up for this until I can cancel my current policy withdrawal on Tuesday". Rep said that's fine, call back if you can't cancel it and we'll change the start date to next month. Current policy holder is closed today.
I call back and sit on hold. I notice emails from GEICO congratulating me on my new policy. I check to see what the deal with payment is - they have my banking info saved from when I was a customer 4 years ago, So I have a scheduled payment for the same day my current (to-be-canceled) policy draws. I didn't confirm or authorize this.
What is my recourse here? I just paid off a considerable amount of debt, so I'm looking at overdrawing my account when the new policy amount hits.
