It seems as though every single version / proxy of TPB is loaded with ads and redirects. Does anyone know of a version / proxy of TPB that isn't full of ads and redirects? Also, I've noticed that seemingly every single version / proxy has tons of fake torrents which are all uploaded by the same username with artificially inflated numbers of seeders / leechers. You know what I'm talking about, those fake torrents uploaded by some user that has neither a green or pink skull by their name, yet somehow seems to have thousands of seeders and leechers. How do these fake torrents get such high numbers? I've always wondered about that. Just in case anyone is wondering what I'm talking about, here's a screenshot that I captured, showing a ton of torrents, all uploaded by the same user, with tons of seeders and leechers. https://i.imgur.com/afqKFUz.jpg
I've never tried downloading any of these fake torrents, since I never download anything from users that don't have a green or pink skull as well as a few comments confirming the validity of the torrent. But I'm curious as to how these fake torrents get uploaded en masse, and how they get so many seeders and leechers. Like any of you who are over the age of 20, I come from a time when the only link to TPB was the one that ended in ".se", and when redirects and fake torrents were not an issue. Hell, I remember torrenting music using BearShare and Limewire. I've even used Limewire to download Limewire Pro (torrenting level: over 9000).
