2024.06.09 09:20 professordumbdumbThe first step is admitting you have a problem.
The second step is ignoring the problem. Or just you know: overspend and eat ramen. I literally just had a udmse, one access point and an extender, a few cameras, with a single switch wired upstairs in my office. It was sorta fine. Except I can’t really stand up in the basement, and it’s hard to run cable when the walls of my 120 year old house are ponied 4 feet thick. God help me when the outside faucet bib needs to be replaced. In any case - life was simple. Then a few buddies came over to help me build a deck and complained for days about how bad the wifi was. Then my wife said she was having trouble with the wifi. That was the last flipping straw. Top to bottom: -Udmse - 2g/1g WAN service -Brush panel -Unvr pro (currently only 1x 18tb surveillance drive) -Usw pro aggregation -Usw pro max 24poe (bonded) -patch panel w/ fs cat6a ff keystones -pdu -Canon mfc -*Dell r730xd w/ 8x 16tb and 4x 4tb drive arrays, 128gb ecc, dual sfp+, dual 16core, ipmi -Eaton 9px 6k 6000va w/ second stack on 240v30a Wired in / pending wires: -U6w enterprise AP -U6w AP -U7pro AP -Usw-enterprise-8poe - fibre to my office up up upstairs (then tunnel) -G5pro, g4pro, *theta ai pro, 3x g4 bullet, 3x g4 instant, doorbell pro -qnap 4bay (but I’ll likely get rid of this) “That’s, uhhh, a lotta … free ports you got there.” -needed 2.5gbs poe++ for u6we plus daisy chained poe camera. Usw pro max 16 was never in stock. -*needed(wanted) 8sfp+ ports (which aren’t all wired up yet but: -2x to uswpro, 2x to server, 1x to nvr pro, 1x to switch upstairs, 1x to udmse, 1x to NAS (but I decided to drop this as the server sorta covers it). -wanted to play with intervlan routing and for networks to live on the agg switch - but realistically the regular agg could probably have been just fine - just didn’t leave me much wiggle room. -nvrpro came with a free g4 pro - so it was a no brainer. -I realize the UPS is overkill x8000 but I got it from a startup that went out of business for a price that I couldn’t pass on.
2024.06.08 20:39 shayontionneRCKT - what do you folks think of this little gene therapy company?
RCKT - rocket pharmaceuticals is a biopharma focused on gene therapy. They have a FDA BLA with PDUFA at the end of this month, if approved it would be the first approved therapy for this company, and the best treatment for the ultra-rare genetic disease called LAD-I. Their pipeline is: - FA-A BLA submission imminent - DCM (BAG3) phase 1 start 2H24 - PKD phase 1 (NCT04105166) primary completion 2025-05-01 - Danon disease phase 2 pivotal (NCT06092034) primary completion 2025-09-01 - ACM (PKP2) phase 1 (NCT05885412) primary completion 2025-09-01. I'm assuming LAD-I will be priced at $3.8million per, FA-A and PKD will be priced at $2.8million per, Danon, ACM, DCM at $1.5million to $2million per. Maybe some will be higher or some lower, but these are reasonable prices for ultra-rare / rare gene therapy compared to other currently in use therapies. Given these assumptions I think LAD-I approval this month and FA-A approval early next year will give the company roughly enough cash to be cashflow positive before their cash runs out. Assuming there is a PRV for each of these 2 approvals, for rare paediatric, and each PRV can be sold for $100million. They still have $114million left in the ATM and $330million cash on the balance sheet as of end of March. It might be close, there might be a raise or an additional ATM of $100million to $200million, but I'm pretty sure they will not need it and they will be cashflow positive before their cash runs out. After that you are looking at the company with what will be first to market and probably the best-in-class gene therapies in Danon, PKP2-ACM, and BAG3-DCM, each of these is a blockbuster by itself, together you are looking at a valuation of maybe $5billion in 2025/2026 on a buyout, or $20billion after all 3 gets approved by 2029, and that's underestimating it and not including LAD-I, FA-A, PKD, and whatever else they will have in the pipeline by then. Company has no debt. 3.12million warrants outstanding, all of it underwater right now, exercise price between 22.51 to 65.23. 1.88million restricted stock units. 15.9million options at exercise price of 16.12 (not sure how much is still outstanding). In my modelling I assumed 85% chance of approval for LAD-I and FA-A, 35% chance of success for PKD, 64% chance of success for Danon, 35% chance of success for ACM, and 28% chance of success for DCM. (I likely used very low success chances here, looking at their data I think the chances are probably much higher, but margin of safety and all that) I used a free cashflow discount rate of 10%. I assumed all warrants and options are exercised, plus some future stock-based compensation rewards after the approvals, for a fully diluted 124million shares (I likely overestimated the dilution by a lot, it's currently at 90.78million shares outstanding). Given the above assumptions I arrived at a fair price per share of between $25 to $36 for right now on 2024-06-08, and a price per share of over $100 by 2028 (if they are not bought by big pharma before then, and honestly if I was Pfizer or Bristol this company looks like the answer to all my prayers). So, right now this company is the biggest part of my portfolio. Maybe on Monday FDA will reject the drug and you guys can all come here and have a laugh. So you know, this is not investment advice, stocks are risky, blah blah all the disclaimers. I sincerely believe this is a 5x, maybe more.

Moderna's stock price took a hit as the Covid-19 pandemic receded, but the biotech company's future looks bright. Despite the decline in its share price, Moderna is approaching multiple launches beyond its successful Covid-19 vaccine, and its pipeline of mRNA-based vaccines and treatments is advancing rapidly across multiple therapeutic areas. Morningstar believes Moderna's stock is currently undervalued by 36%, and its fair value is $227 per share. mRNA Technology Validation and Uncertainties Moderna's mRNA technology gained rapid validation through the soaring sales of its Covid-19 vaccine in 2021 and 2022. However, the company has yet to secure a narrow economic moat around its business due to uncertainties tied to the evolving virus and the changing competitive landscape for innovative vaccines. In an unprecedented span of just 11 months, Moderna created, developed, manufactured, and received regulatory authorization for mRNA-1273, a two-dose Covid-19 vaccine that was one of the first two mRNA vaccines ever authorized, alongside PfizeBioNTech's BNT162b2. The pandemic accelerated Moderna's evolution into a commercial-stage biotech, and the company's ramp-up in manufacturing and clinical know-how is expected to pave the way for faster timelines for additional programs. Diversified Pipeline and Partnerships Moderna's mRNA platform, involving rapid design and similar manufacturing across programs, allows the company to pursue multiple programs in parallel. Moderna retains full rights to most of its programs, although partnerships with Merck and Vertex help support its efforts in oncology and cystic fibrosis. The company reported roughly $18 billion in Covid-19 vaccine sales in both 2021 and 2022. While vaccine fatigue and uncertainty around the severity of Covid-19 infections in the coming season may impact sales, Morningstar assumes $6.2 billion in sales in 2023. Morningstar sees potential for continued revenue around $4 billion annually if higher-risk populations receive annual vaccines, although there is high uncertainty around the number of long-term competitors (including new mRNA players) and pricing, particularly as the US market moves from government contracts to a commercial market. Promising Pipeline and Future Prospects Moderna's phase 3 pipeline beyond Covid-19 is growing and includes potential 2024 launches in RSV and oncology, as well as 2025 launches for a Covid-19/flu combination vaccine and rare disease treatments. Moderna and Merck's melanoma therapy has potential in a wide range of cancers in combination with Merck's Keytruda. Morningstar thinks mRNA technology will eventually be used in a broad spectrum of other therapeutic areas, from cancer to cardiology to rare diseases.

2024.06.06 14:19 TearRepresentative56I'm a full time trader and this is everything I'm watching and analysing in premarket, 06/06, including a full explanation of why we saw the price action we did yesterday.
ANALYSIS:
More intraday analysis will be posted in the sub tradingedge today for what to expect for the market today. I will also post intraday levels. For now I leave you with the post I made yesterday, which some may have seen, regarding the action we saw yesterday, and what caused it.
Market pushed notably higher today as a result of a squeeze. There had been bearish flow building this week as traders call a pullback. But today vix wall expired and nvda push + good data led to a move higher above 5300. This caused bears to close their positions, fuelling more squeeze higher.
With squeezes, the gamma wall levels given in the premarket posts can break, because the volume is ridiculous. Thats what happened today. As the max level breaks, Market makers hedge by going long, which causes more squeeze higher.
This kind of occurrence has been happening a lot since November. As traders call a pullback or try to call a top, they buy puts or go short. Then when the data comes good or one or the big mag 7 stocks (often nvda) runs higher, the market breaks key resistances ans the bears are forced to cover their shorts, which leads to more squeeze.
That's why when I was giving commentary earlier this week, I said caution is required, but still long. I didnt say go short. I'm telling you now as a fact, going short is extremely dangerous in an environment where traders are short vol which is suppressing it like crazy, and causing the market dips to be quickly bought.
Best not to try to pre empt tops but to go with the gamma levels, and the data
Many funds will be getting fucked in this kind of market squeeze. Many retail traders too, which has actually been the case a lot since November. Thats because I saw retail flows have been short since November even as market pumped higher. Why? Because they tried to call a top. "Market can't go higher, surely". In a squeeze, there's no limit. Resistances can break. Yes market will mean revert at some point but there's no reason that will be now when the squeeze happens lile this. If you go short at the wrong time you will get fucked by this squeeze.
DATA LEDE:
Australia Balance of Trade comes stronger than expected, at 6.5B vs 5.4B expected. More exports than imports. Strong AUD as a result.
Construction PMIs across eurozone came weak. All quite deep in contraction.
UK construction PMI on other hand came positive, in expansion.
Eurozone Retail sales:
YOY came 0% vs forecast of a jump 0.2%
MOM came -0.5% vs -0.3% expected
SO EUROZONE RETAIL SALES WERE BASICALLY WEAKER THAN EXPECTED.
More likely to see rate cuts.
ECB meeting later - expected cut but see what Lagarde says.
MARKETS:
SPX and NAsdaq closed at record highs yesterday after squeeze. Squeezed to 5355, Nasdaq squeezed above 19k.
SPX Today, in premarket has been flat around these levels of 5360.
Nasdsaq: maintaining the 19k level. 19k now to act as support.
DJI - trading at 38.8k, flat. Continues to lag other indices due to lower tech exposure.
GER40: Moving higher in prmakret today ahead of ECB meeting. Expectation of dovish ECB is fuelling risk on sentiment. Wall is 18,800.
HKG50: Flat today at 18500 - similar to previous days’ action, moved slightly higher earlier in the session before selling off again back to where it started really.
GOLD: pushed higher yesterday after testing close to the 2300 level. Now trading at 2360. Recovery, but with low volumes.
SIlver: After 4% sell off on Tuesday, has now recovered around 2.5% of that. Again, recovery but with low volumes.
OIL: Similar story to gold, slow recovery with low volumes. Trying to find a bottom.
VIX: This is key, Vix wall at 13 got taken out yesterday. Today is trading at 12.75, so remains suppressed.
FX:
DXY was lower, earlier in the session, dropping back tot he 104 range, before moving slightly higher to 104.33.
CHFUSD squeezing higher, now at 1.12. Was a shit ton of shorts here so they are getting squeezed higher.
EURUSD was higher before paring gains ahead of ECB. 1.08-1.09 range
GBPUSD similar story, bounced off 1.28
USDJPy was lower earlier in the session, now higher to 156.2.

Look at guidance:
Next quarter;
EPS of 2.92-2.97 vs 3.01 expected (miss by 2%)
Revenue of 2.4-2.42B (miss by 1.5%)
So slight miss on next quarter. They are still expecting to iron out thier problems. But full year guidance is better:
FY 2025 guidance:
EPS of 14.27-14.47 (raised by 2%, and ahead of expectations)
Revenue of 10.7-10.8B, in line with expectations.
Overall, good results.

MISS ON BOTH TOP AND BOTTOM LINE.
But guidance is where it really got scratchy
Next quarter guidance:
EPS expected to be 57-69, massive miss by 40% vs estimates
Revenue of 840M, big miss by 5% vs estimates
Expected for comp sales to DECREASE by mid single digits. UH OH
Full year guidance:
Cut for both EPS and Revenue
Cut EPS guidance by 10%, missed by 20% vs expectations.
Expects comparable sales of -4%
Commentary:
Results were disappointing
Needs based items are doing okay, macro environment is killing their core lower income customers basically.
NIO:
Q1 revenue came in at 9.91B vs estimates of 10.75 (miss by 8%)
Q1 adjusted loss per share of 33 cents (which was below estimates)
Q1 gross margin was 4.9% vs estimate of 4.75% (beat expectations)
Said they expect Q2 deliveries to be 54-56k vs estimates of 41.3k.
SO they are expecting FAR more deliveries next quarter than expected, more than 25% more.
So strong delivery guidance, Revenue for last quarter was a bit weak, as was their operating loss.
MAG 7:
NVDA - hit 3T market cap yesterday, overtook Apple as 2nd most valuable company.

2024.06.06 14:16 TearRepresentative56I'm a full time trader and this is everything I'm watching and analysing in premarket 06/06 including full review and explanation of what caused the squeeze yesterday in the market.
ANALYSIS

2024.06.06 14:13 TearRepresentative56Everything I'm watching and analysing in premarket 06.06 including positioning analysis, earnings reviews and all the news from premarket.
ANALYSIS:
More intraday analysis will be posted in the sub today for what to expect for the market today.

2024.06.05 22:55 Commercial_Ride7340Help Determining Appropriate Solution for Well Water Treatment
Hello WaterTreatment community. We have obtained a water test (attached image of results) and have engaged with local Water Treatment specialists to determine how to tackle our water. Based on the results, they've recommended the following treatment: 1) 10x54 Clack Ei Mixed Bed Water Softener (To reduce Hardness, Iron, Manganese, Arsenic 5 and Uranium) filled with: -1 ft3 of IONAC ASB2 by SYBRON Chemicals (datasheet attached) -BC121F by Bestion (datasheet attached) 2) 10x47 Clack In Out Valve with Bypass Acid Neutralizer with Calcite Media - To increase pH level and to prevent the leaching of metals including Lead. And we plan to add a carbon media to reduce the organic/rotten egg smell in the water. We also plan to add a UV light to protect from bacteria (not present currently but just in case....). We plan to test the water every 6 months to see how everything is going (planning to maintain everything thoroughly as well). So here's where we need some help. The quotes for the material from the supplier are ridiculously expensive. Why I say that is I can get the same exact models from a reputable distributer for almost 1/3 of the price! They are charging very little installation fees but I would much rather see a high installation cost rather than a crazy mark up on material cost...I totally understand it is a business, and me saying "crazy" is just subjective due to our current living budget/situation. Perhaps in a few years time, I will look at their quote and think it is a little more reasonable. I'm all for supporting local businesses but I'm pretty confident we can install this ourselves...the problem is selecting the right stuff. So back to it, the ion exchange primarily tackles Arsenic V, and not Arsenic III, and we don't know the composition of the Arsenic present. We were thinking we should add a chlorination stage to convert any potential Arsenic 3 to Arsenic 5, if we discover that the proposed solution does not eliminate most of the Arsenic in the water (will get tested a few weeks after installation). We were also looking at adding reverse osmosis possibly under the kitchen sink with a dedicated faucet for drinking and cooking. Just really not sure what to do to keep the cost down, buy a good product, and have awesome water. We want to reduce, as much as possible, all the harmful stuff in our water (arsenic, uranium, lead, etc). Sorry for the ramble & thanks for your help! https://preview.redd.it/djni7u93uu4d1.png?width=1108&format=png&auto=webp&s=4998273d154e4d5f8db927701d175206e7ed3725 https://preview.redd.it/ee3ax054uu4d1.png?width=1310&format=png&auto=webp&s=d72998ff454b5d620489c3198a31382d0f275a5c https://preview.redd.it/yxaeprp4uu4d1.png?width=1540&format=png&auto=webp&s=9e9291d27c64e18abf875d17f9330e43b78aeda8

My external faucet developed a leak over the winter. I need a good plumber. The one I used in that past(during Covid) charged an insane amount. Just want to try someone new to get an idea of the price range. 2k to fix a leak without even patching the wall back to it's original state.

After getting taken out on GME covered calls, I'm back on the CSP side and working on being more responsible on my method. The goal here is to minimize the agony when there are huge price moves (looking at you gme), use theta to my advantage and generate income. My account has 90k on ibkr 1) diversify on different company, approximately 5% of capital on each. 2) ATM or 1 strike away on reputable beaten down stock. At most 50 days out. Names like Ford, Intel, TMF, Pfizer, PATH. 3) Other criterias would be, thin option spreads and above average volume. My idea for this method has pros and cons, ATM strikes has better premium for such names, while ATM strike has high chance of being assigned, not all may be subjected to it. Having 5% capital on different names will better protect my account from huge drawdown even when assigned. Assigned stocks will write CC strictly at my breakeven price. No matter how low the premium is. The inconvenience of this method is I have to be constantly scanning companies worth selling CSP because of higher assignment risk. And also higher commission paid. Theta warriors please roast my method!

Pics are of kitchen in progress. I have to choose countertops and a backsplash (probably formica unless I can find a great price on quartz or solid surface). And I can’t figure out if it would be better to have a darker countertop (more contrast) or a lighter one. Or in-between. The floors aren’t quite millenial gray lvp, they have some streaks of warm brown in them I swear. Cabs, basic bright white. Cab hardware and faucet, chrome. Walls, city loft. Trim, snowbound. Appliances are SS.
