Hey everyone
I got a portable A/C unit a couple summers back that will no longer cool our room as needed for the current heat . I am as the title reveals a fatherless fool who does not have skills to do anything handy for the most part even though I have access to some tools at the house .
I cleaned the filter for the first time after learning of this , which is embarrassing , I am willing to learn , I do care about my family , I want to clean this unit up . If I understand correctly , when I got this off a Kijiji purchase , they did not have it long , they moved , got central air , was selling it to me and probably why I was able to get a couple summers without maintenance .
Now that I have the filter clean and white / see through again , I was thinking maybe all the dust inside will need to go as well , and as I hear , a clean of the coils . I do not have any special chemicals for it , they seem expensive for a very simple and humble guy like me unfortunately , I do have a vacuum , and if need , a shop vac as well .
my tub is not large enough to drain this unit , not sure how to do this , I have just had the hose go into a bucket up to this point , it was draining water when I first got her going , now the buckets been bone dry , so not sure what this means , I been running the unit even though its not working well but I am scared to keep going as I feel I may break it , and of course , its just not helping any ways , I need to try and take on this task for me and my wife .
the screws are very deep into the shell which is odd , makes it hard to get them "out" but it seems I may at least be able to loosen them , not sure why they chose this setup , a wheel also broke off as I was moving the unit , the plastic on the end of the screw just cracked and I noticed 3 screws were missing , maybe I forgot about this or it has been happening ever since . I have had a lot of medical issues in my way for a while , things like this sort of fade from my reality , I feel like an idiot .
If you have some advice for me , I really do appreciate it , please use simple methods , I am not very experienced in this , It is embarrassing enough for me that I can't just take on these tasks for my wife and get it done quick , I need to hope I can find someone to help teach me and pray the needs to do so are in the home or cheap to put together such as a home made cleaning solution .
I know that they have some good ones that require no rinse and will even end up cleaning the water trays to prevent and treat mold which is very nice , its just that the jug was 80 dollars on amazon which is very expensive for me .
Please let me know how to safely vacuum and clean the inside of the unit in what ever way I must to keep this unit working well and cooling off the bedroom for us , we are in the hottest section of the house sadly with our small dogs as well . If you have tips to drain the water , mold treatment and prevention as it could possible be present , I did not know proper storage technique , another embarrassing mistake I have been making , and some very inexpensive but just as effective cleaning solutions I can make to clean if need , literally , any advice you have is greatly appreciated , I will take the time to read it as long as it may be , I will watch any videos you suggest , what ever it takes to learn this skill for my family and future children , I feel pathetic as a man .

I swear it feels like I'm in a cult. I've worked there for 4 years but still can't get used to how religious my place of work is and it honestly makes me uncomfortable.
We are required to start every single meeting with a prayer, including huddle, educational classes, etc. Every email from anyone above me is started with a prayer, and I get emailed by the nuns with prayers weekly. The nuns pray on the loud speaker at every single hospital in the organization twice a day at shift change (an annoying time to do it), and it's not like normal prayer about being thankful and blessing sick people. It's like "YOU ARE MY KING AND MASTER. I SUBMIT TO YOUR POWER. I LOVE YOU WITH ALL OF MY HEART" for 5 straight minutes. We have a required annual meeting called the "mission integration" where we get together for 4 hours and talk about the "mission" to serve as the "embodiment of God's love". We're told to "know and love" our patients like Christ does by a bunch of nuns. We are read passages from the Bible and hear quotes and wisdom from saints about God's love. We then have a discussion portion where we have to raise our hands and talk about what part of the message really spoke to us and why.
We are constantly hearing about the "mission" to serve with God's love. We aren't called employees or coworkers, we're "fellow mission partners". We are required to recognize each other for "living the mission" on our mission partner portal. We are even asked in every single interview how we feel about having crucifixes in every room. Like... how is that not asking us about our religious beliefs? What are we supposed to say? We all basically had to pretend to have enthusiasm for catholicism in order to get the job, which we all only wanted because they have a monopoly in healthcare in this region.
We got rid of social workers and only have the clergy. They round on everyone each morning and offer to pray. At first I thought this was nice, but... I had a patient who was discharging home with hospice from the ICU. He asked a Father to read him his rights because he was afraid of dying on the way home. The Father told him no because he was Lutheran?? Like, how is that therapeutic? He didn't even offer to find a Lutheran minister, he just did no and left. How often have they been pulling weird discriminatory shit like that when my patients go to them looking for comfort and acceptance and I didn't know? I get he's a catholic priest but this is a hospital for the general public and he's supposed to be the stand in for social services. It felt inappropriate and cruel. He also told a crying nurse that her dead dog wasn't actually in heaven because the catholic church does not believe that animals have souls. I don't know that I like his need to choose strict catholic dogma over comforting grieving people IN A HOSPITAL. He carries holy water to cleanse demons or something and he also wrote a book about exorcisms and includes chapters about how to tell the difference between demonic possessions and mental illness, how to tell if a demon is lying to you, etc. Should he even be rounding on the psychotic patients on our psych floor? It doesn't seem all that helpful. I would really prefer to just have social services.
This all emboldens the Catholic and similarly religious "mission partners" to preach their religion at work. I'm a vegan and get lectured by coworkers about how God gave us animals for our utility according to the Bible when I'm just trying to eat my damn lunch. It feels like there is a correct religion to be there and everyone else has to keep their mouths shut. It's really uncomfortable. There is a crucifix in every room, including the break rooms, statues/paintings of Christ and saints all up and down the hallways, and even life sized statues and paintings of the nuns who run the organization throughout the hospital. It's just a lot. I can't even get an email for mother's day without a prayer "blessing the mothers who guide their motherhood by the word and will of God" like... forget about the mothers who work here and aren't religious then?
Am I sensitive or do other people feel weird about it all? I have a hard time even liking my patients sometimes. I really don't love them like I'm their creator. Why is that an unacceptable way to feel lmao it feels really brainwashed and out of place in an American workplace.

However, if you're a supporter of the modern Republican party and the MAGA movement, we are not a good fit. I'm not a religious person, but it is okay if you are, as long as you can accept that I am not. Lastly, I do not have children and would prefer to date someone without children or whose kids are older and independent.
Except for a fulfilling relationship with a loving partner, I have a happy and comfortable life that isn't lacking anything. I'm capable, confident, and independent and I have my life together. I want to meet someone with the intent of developing an enduring relationship. We can proceed at a pace that makes sense for us.

- Food: I have a very adventurous palate and love trying new foods. I avoid eating at the same restaurant twice to force myself to broaden my food experiences. If you're a vegan/vegetarian, that's fine! I'm open to the idea of some version of vegetarianism myself. I'm a competent cook, but I don't enjoy cooking. I would prefer a partner who does. I promise that I'm great at doing the dishes and cleaning up in the kitchen.

- Games: I love to play board games with a group or my partner. My favorites involve some sort of social component and intuition, like The Resistance. Going out for trivia nights at bars is also one of my favorite things to do. I sometimes play single-player video games that allow me to stop at any time.
- Animals: Lover of all animals, hater of all bugs. I have one dog. He's a small and fluffy Pekingese and he loves attention. He's an absolute butthead, but I promise you'll love him.
- Cleanliness: I'm probably the cleanest man you'll ever meet. I keep both my home and myself tidy. I'm something of a minimalist as well, as I am not a big fan of collecting tons of trinkets and knicknacks.
- Drugs: I have no dependencies whatsoever. I only drink socially and in moderation. I don't smoke anything, and don't want to date someone who smokes a lot of anything. It smells gross and makes you taste gross. I sometimes enjoy a low-dose edible or a psychedelic. It's okay with me if you casually enjoy alcohol, marijuana, or "lighter" drugs more often than I do.
- Traveling: I'm more of a homebody, but I like road trips. I want to drive across the country in a camper someday. I do enjoy hiking and "glamping", but I'm not a big fan of prolonged camping.

To those whose losses are more recent, maybe don’t read this one. I don’t want to upset anyone as I’m years down the line now and I know early on this type of post may have upset me.
My husband died 11.11.2021. It flipped my life completely upside down. I was 21, he was 22 but we were both already planning for our life ahead. He started a business at 15 that managed to pay off and he worked hard to make enough for us to start a family early, we were due to start trying around the time he died, so the loss of a potential family as well as the one I had in him was shattering. I immigrated to the states when I was young, and I knew him for most of my time here so losing that constant wasn’t something I knew how to approach.
For the first three months I really let myself go, I spent a lot of time just laying in bed with my dog, I didn’t walk him enough and that made me guilty. I tried to spend time with friends but the constant unhelpful comments (seriously who suggests dating 3 weeks after the funeral) wore on me a lot. I drifted apart from a lot of them and I haven’t gotten most of those friendships back.
Around march 2022 my brother came to visit me for a while, he forced me to come out with him and do things, I’ll forever be thankful for that. I was raised catholic but I’d been avoiding church since the funeral, it was just too upsetting for me. He dragged me in and I realised I was okay. My fear before was that every part of church would remind me of the funeral but it didn’t, I felt safe and welcome. It helped me a lot. I’ve gone back every Sunday since that first time back. I’ve met a lot of new people there, made a lot of new friends and I feel safe and able to talk freely there.
I also stopped laying in bed all the time, before he died I was out constantly and I didn’t realise how draining it was for me, I can’t handle that lifestyle and being active again has done me a world of good. I’ve even tried dating. I’ve yet to find someone who matches up to my standards but I know I will one day. I’ve worked really hard on myself and I know I’m a good catch, if I could find someone as amazing as my husband, I can find someone different, but equally amazing one day. For now I’m just living my life and when the time is right, I know God will introduce us. I’m in no rush, I’m happy to be single until I find the right one, no interest in wasting my time with the wrong ones in the meantime,

My husband died 11.11.2021. It flipped my life completely upside down. I was 21, he was 22 but we were both already planning for our life ahead. He started a business at 15 that managed to pay off and he worked hard to make enough for us to start a family early, we were due to start trying around the time he died, so the loss of a potential family as well as the one I had in him was shattering. I immigrated to the states when I was young, and I knew him for most of my time here so losing that constant wasn’t something I knew how to approach.
For the first three months I really let myself go, I spent a lot of time just laying in bed with my dog, I didn’t walk him enough and that made me guilty. I tried to spend time with friends but the constant unhelpful comments (seriously who suggests dating 3 weeks after the funeral) wore on me a lot. I drifted apart from a lot of them and I haven’t gotten most of those friendships back.
Around march 2022 my brother came to visit me for a while, he forced me to come out with him and do things, I’ll forever be thankful for that. I was raised catholic but I’d been avoiding church since the funeral, it was just too upsetting for me. He dragged me in and I realised I was okay. My fear before was that every part of church would remind me of the funeral but it didn’t, I felt safe and welcome. It helped me a lot. I’ve gone back every Sunday since that first time back. I’ve met a lot of new people there, made a lot of new friends and I feel safe and able to talk freely there.

 | Hey all - wanted to share a recent project. Me and my partner started a small design studio and rented a 300 sq-ft office nearby; we decided to furnish it entirely through building the furniture ourselves. Here's some photos of the initial office and the final product! submitted by ksafin to DIY [link] [comments] In total, we built two desks, a table, a kitchenette, and a bench with cubbies. Our small office, empty, just as we moved in! First, we built two desks so we could start using the office. We made these about 32" tall so we could either stand or sit while using them. They're made from a few flat pieces of 1.5" plywood (two 3/4" sheets glued together). One bench is 8ft long, and the other is 12ft. There's a cross-member in the back to prevent it from bowing under weight, and it's all fastened together with some aluminum right-angle brackets. Light coat of a stain and polyurethane to seal. Here's the office after adding the desks, a rug, and chairs! We then used the office for a while, but it was pretty empty which really brought the mood down. We decided to make one big push to build some furniture to really fill it up. We settled on a kitchenette, table, and bench by the windows. The kitchenette! For the kitchenette, we chose a retro-looking frigidaire mini-fridge that fit the vibe we were going for and build around it. To the left was the door, so that limited the width. Since we have no running water in the office, we planned to use 5 gallon jugs - so the kitchenette cabinet is wide enough for two jugs to fit at the base, which run up to the water dispenser pictured (top left). There's also two internal shelves, and the doors use soft-close hinges and are just "push" to open/close (no handles). THE BENCH The bench was by far the largest and hardest of all of the pieces. We wanted this to look and feel like a built-in, so it had to be perfectly conformed to the walls around it, which were oddly shaped. We set it at such a height so that you'd get a perfect look out the window when sitting at either end. Otherwise, we also wanted to use the height for storage, so we have four cubbies with little handles that make the entire interior usable for storing stuff. At the front, we made a ~8" high external cubby that is used for storing books (you can see we started filling it out on the left above). On the left, there were some ugly pipes in the wall, so we built a banquette to hide them. On the right, we build a larger banquette to house the A/C. We used an aluminum perforated grill to let the airflow through (you can see the A/C through it in the pic) and shaped the banquette to also hide the long 4" hose that ran to the window. The cubbies! A toy chest hinge on each keeps them open. We've got a lot more books to add, too! The right banquette, which houses the air conditioner. Lastly, we made a large table that we put between our desks for when we want to collaborate or work together on something. We knew we wanted a round table, and since plywood caps out at 48" wide, that set our target width - so it's a 4 foot diameter table. We're obsessed with the beautiful texture of fir, and specifically found plywood that had great grain. We also wanted to have some minor shelving in it, so we ended up spacing the two discs apart by about 3" - enough to fit some stuff in - and most importantly, your hands! I polished a pair of aluminum bars and an aluminum pipe to provide this separation. We also had a 2" hole going down the center, so we could wire up and place a lamp right in the center. The table - challenging to photograph! A better view of the 3\" internal shelf. The aluminum splits it down the middle, so we each have half of it as our private shelving on each side. The lamp, which really ties it together. Cord is hidden since it goes directly down through the hole in the tabletop we made for it. Check out that beautiful grain! The last part to finish up is to sew up the cushions we got for the bench. You can see the raw cushions (cut to fit) above. We sampled a lot of fabrics and ultimately chose a nice linen-denimy fabric that's navy. We've yet to sew them up, but we did drape the fabric over it to get a sense of how it looks - here's a pic with our dog on it! Our foster dog \"Detective\" taking a nap on the bench. My dog is an older Labrador who was recently diagnosed with ME, and who also has laryangral paralysis that has been mitigated through tie-back surgery. In short, he is extra prone to aspirating.
He is a very sweet and usually very agreeable, trainable guy, except that he has always HATED being contained or restrained in any way. When he was younger I tried getting him a doggy seat belt for a long road trip, and tried giving him treats/attention so that he would like it, but he always screamed the entire ride whenever I tried to get him to wear it.
Similarly, while we’ve been waiting for his Bailey chair I’ve been trying to hold him upright while feeding him, and he hates this too. He fights me the whole time that he isn’t actively eating, and shakes and screams until I let him go. His reaction is so intense that it makes me worry that I’m hurting him, but I think he just really, really hates being constrained.
I plan to introduce him to the chair slowly, and do everything I can to make him associate chair = good/happy/love/attention/food. But I’m just really worried that it won’t work. Has anyone else dealt with anything similar? I feel like this is literally a life-or-death thing, because he quite literally cannot ingest food when he isn’t upright, and I’m not sure how long I would be able to force him to stay in the chair for 20 minutes at every meal if he decides he doesn’t want to.

I’m (M22) making this post because my wife (F23) has moved out of our home and barely contacted me for three weeks. Some backstory, we got married last May, knowing how young we were and how life can throw curveballs. We rent a house from my parents with my brother as a room mate, which we both knew was not a good long term living situation, but because we were married so young we knew that we could save money, get our careers in order, and then find our own place somewhere out of town. We had a year long engagement, I initially thought maybe two years would be better but my then fiance said a year was the longest she would wait, because she was eager to be married to me. So we had a year long engagement, and got married (we lived together for about a month prior to our marriage).
After four months, my wife mentioned to me some certain problems she perceived in our relationship. She felt we needed our own space, because living with someone else while newlywed was not the best case scenario for anybody. She felt that I had grown comfortable since we were married, and didn’t chase her enough. She felt that I was not pursuing my career in nursing enough, because I had gotten rejected from one school program and it’s very competitive here in California, and long story short my grades were not good enough to be accepted into a nursing program. She wanted me to get a career path going so that we could move out of my home town, live alone, and start experiencing more of life together.
After this conversation, a switch really flipped in my head, because I wanted my wife to be happy, I wanted our relationship to be solid. I began to ensure that we would spend quality time together, going out, taking walks, going on hikes, spending our days off doing something other than house work or catching up, and our relationship seemed to take a big step forward. What I failed to do was figure out my career path. At 7 months in our marriage, we had another big talk. She mentioned her issues with my perceived laziness in pursuing a career, and how it was not the worst case but living with my brother as a room mate wasn’t optimal. She got along great with him and he was not a bad house mate, but she wanted our own place. We had talked about moving out a few months before, but because we had vacations planned out of country and in country as well, I we had discussed it and I believed she understood that moving into our own place right away was not in the cards for us at the moment. I told her a few months before that I would be pursuing a career in law enforcement, and had been preparing myself to apply for certain jobs in that field in my area. Getting myself for and mentally prepared, ensuring that it would be something I felt I could succeed in. I thought she understood that it’s not something you can just do one day after deciding, but she seemed very impatient.

We were still spending all of our time together, weren’t fighting, our personal lives were going great together. Three months ago I submitted applications for jobs, some in the area and some in another part of our state, because I knew that moving out of town was a big thing for her and I. My problem was I didn’t communicate how I felt, and to her it seemed that I was just planning on working in my hometown and staying there, which is something she definitely did not want. I believe that the patience and understanding she once had turned into resentment on her part, which grew and grew because we never talked about how our plans could unfold in a way that we both would be happy. This resentment eventually bubbled over because the job that would allow us to move paid less, and since it’s a state job would take longer to start. Another job prospect was at the sheriffs office, where I would make a lot more money, which in my head meant more financial stability and the freedom to move wherever we wanted after a few years where I would get a job at a local PD or sheriffs office. On the day I decided I would apply to the sheriffs office I told her about it and how it could work into our plans for the future. She said afterwards that she wanted space for a few days because she wanted to figure out how she was going to proceed moving forward. We didn’t talk for a few days other than very basic commmunication, but one morning after a brunch we went to the had been planed for a long time with some out of state friends, she told me she loved me and we kisses, had a moment,and she told me we were going to work everything out, that divorce was not on the table. She went to stay in a city near me with her sister for a night (her sister is from out of state and this had been planned for a couple of months). When she came back home, she told me she was going to stay at her dad’s. She said that she didn’t feel that she was in love with me anymore but still loved me, and that she just needed time away to clear her head. I handled everything terrible. I bombarded her with texts after a few days, tried calling her, but she wasn’t having any of it. Her sister from the military came in from out of town for two weeks, again, this had been planned for years and. She was very excited to see her for the first time in two years.
The past three weeks, we’ve had barely any communication. She has not communicated over text unless it’s her getting upset and explaining why she’s making the choice she is making. She moved all of her belongings from our place yesterday, and had her mom with her which is strange. She hasn’t communicated with her mom since we have been married, her mom is a classic text box narcissist who she never respected. Also, she has been very cold or angry when we have communicated, and initially she left our dog which we adopted together when dating with me, but she asked to have her for a few days. On a phone call, she told me that she was going to keep her. Our dog. At this point, the ball is in her court and I’ve decided that since she knows how I feel and how I am committed to making our marriage work and reconciling, that there’s nothing more I can do at the moment.
I’m not going to make myself out to be a saint. After she left, I went off the deep end after a few days and checked her phone records. After some investigation I found out that one of the phone calls and text messages she’s been in contact with has been a local planned parenthood. She always had fears of being pregnant and being a mother, close to hysterical. Instantly my mind began spiraling that she got pregnant and panicked. I asked her in a phone call that she grudgingly let me have and she got very upset and said it wasn’t the case and that it’s obvious I had no trust in her. I understand her anger but not her sentiment, she crushed any trust I had in her when she left and moved out, not to mention when she took our dog from me.
My fear is that right now, she has a support system in her sisters and mom, which is NEVER the case. Her family is not active in each others lives, to the point where they would maybe see each other on holidays. Maybe. I’m scared that this beautiful women who I care for is going to find herself alone, with a sister who lives in the other side of the world, a sister who only reaches out when it’s convenient to her, and a narcissist emotionally abusive and manipulated mother. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Earlier this week my wife (22f) took a flight to Mexico for a trip that’s been planned for a few months now. Her main reasons of going are to… (1) connect with her grandparents, aunts/uncles and cousins whom she has not seen much of during her life due to immigration statuses (2) to take on a nail tech course so she can do nails as a side business and help us save for a house (3) for a consult to do a balloon gastric operation
We have been together for 8 years this September & have been married for 4. Before she left, I did give my consent for her to travel because there was nothing else I could do about it. If I told her no, she would still go, albeit with an argument. But I can’t and wouldn’t force her not to go. But I can’t help but feel betrayed. I feel betrayed because how could she leave me for so long, I know her reasons are legit, but i still feel hurt. I would never leave her for so long, even with the reasons she has, because I cannot even bear a minute away from her. I come home from work, take care of our pets, walk the dog, then the feeling of dread overcomes me. I try and distract myself with video games, but that was something we both shared. And now her gaming PC sits collecting dust. If I distract myself by cleaning, I soon find myself breaking down into tears because all her stuff is around me but she isn’t.

I stopped when she left and have been going through withdrawals which has left me even more depressed, anxious, unable to sleep and eat. Earlier this week my wife (22f) took a flight to Mexico for a trip that’s been planned for a few months now. Her main reasons of going are to… (1) connect with her grandparents, aunts/uncles and cousins whom she has not seen much of during her life due to immigration statuses (2) to take on a nail tech course so she can do nails as a side business and help us save for a house (3) for a consult to do a balloon gastric operation
We have been together for 8 years this September & have been married for 4. Before she left, I did give my consent for her to travel because there was nothing else I could do about it. If I told her no, she would still go, albeit with an argument. But I can’t and wouldn’t force her not to go. But I can’t help but feel betrayed. I can’t go because of a new job I accepted earlier this year. It’s not like I can just tell them I’m gonna be gone for 2 months, even if I’m working remotely. okay, backstory. this is gonna be kind of long.
so I (24F) am starting to seriously isolate myself from social burnout. I’ve always had a lower social meter, but in the last few years it’s evolved to where even an hour with one other person is exhausting and frustrating. In the past two years, due to this decline, I’ve weened my social group down to my husband, my mother, my grandmother, my brother in law, and one childhood friend. I do not speak to or interact with anyone else. Ever. (And I have absolutely no desire to). I have managed to physically hang out with said friend twice in two years, brother in law visits for 3 weeks at Christmas and calls 3x a week, mother and grandmother visit maybe once a week.
Now for the issue.
I thought maybe I was developing serious social anxiety or something similar since I dread quite literally EVERY human interaction I’m forced to have, but recently I’ve noticed that I’m just tired of feeling responsible for everyone. I’ve recently noticed that everyone I interact with (including my husband - tbh he’s the worst about it of them all) seems to constantly ask me questions, ask my advice, or ask me solely to make decisions for the whole group.
Examples from this week alone - husband wanted me to decide whether a job was too far from home to apply for (note: not asked my opinion. wanted ME to fully decide alone.), mother wants me to decide what to do on “family” weekend (consisting of 6 people attending, two of which I don’t know and have met once), husband asked me to decide between renting or buying when we move next year (again, not asking my opinion or wanting to talk about it. just “let me know what you decide”), grandmother offers to buy pizza for everyone on movie night but wants me to pick what we order (even though I’m not the one bankrolling), grandmother wants ME to decide whether SHE rehomes one of HER dogs, friend wants me to decide whether she should get back with her baby daddy (she literally said “I don’t want to decide so you do it for me and I’ll do what you say” HOW is your relationship my choice?!), brother in law wants me to pick what gun he buys for his birthday (I know nothing about guns except they go bang). Again, they don’t ask my opinion. They don’t seem to want to have a discussion about it. They just want me to decide for them.
This has lead to me now having panic attacks and passing out when confronted with social situations. Why does this keep happening to me with every person in my life and how do I make it stop? Please please please tell me someone has SOME idea because I am honestly at my wits end.
I don’t think im particularly hard to please and I’m always willing to compromise or make sacrifices if we don’t all agree on something (like the pizza situation. I AM the most picky eater in the group but I’ve never complained when they get things I don’t like. I either pick off the stuff I don’t like or wait and eat when I get home but I never say anything or make a big deal out of it) so I don’t think they’re worried I’ll get upset or anything. If anything, I’m a big people pleaser and will literally sacrifice my needs for someone else’s wants without even letting on because I’m genuinely happy to do so. I’m starting to feel like I’m going to have to have a life entirely alone - no friends, family, acquaintances - because simply telling people I’m exhausted from making decisions hasnt made a difference.

We have not spoke for a week its been rough and she has blocked me.
Me and my girl we are both 21 we have been doing long distance I am in Usa she is in Canada we had been together for 2 years and some months. I would always fly to her and get a hotel or bnb because she stays with her grandmother, I also live with my grandmother as well back home.I would doordash for her every day, get groceries when needed I paid for her hair here and there , her nails here and there , and even lashes here and there and she also had just got a dog so we did raise a dog together as well.
We go out, we have fun and we always do spontaneous things and Im always getting her flowers each month even multiple times throughout the month , shopping for her and do what I can.
Between may 2022 when we first met up till august 2022 I had been coming to see her about every other week for about 2 weeks at a time and making the most of it my birthday is in april so before even actually knowing me and I was grateful, so after that and when I left the first time seeing her after being there for about 2 weeks. I told her to send me a shopping cart and she showed me fashion nova and i bought her entire cart and I believe it was something else I just cant recall.
Also coming back up in june 2022 she wanted this watch and I bought it and surprised her with it.
Also after I left and came back in july I surprised her with a small hotel deciration and got her yeezy slides, pandora bracelet, and marc jacobs slides.
I came to her in October 2022 and essentially I was only supposed to be there for a month. One month turned into 2 , 2 months turned into 6, but throughout the time it was not pretty.
I had issues with banking because of how I was spending and I became limited and rather going home I made a poor decision not thinking in the moment and saying to her I would figure it out and even then so she said shes here for me so that made me happy.
She ended up finding me a job to work and it was very beneficial, so as im there im doing what I can but mind u I cant use my money and I have to transfer because my bank is giving me a hard time in a different country.
So its almost like im here on a fresh start with nothing, but im working do everything I can and she also had to pay for groceries one time and some more stuff, but when I got paid it wasnt much but I still gave her $500 out of what I made for what she spent while I couldn’t for the moment.
We would always argue because of misunderstanding or not wanting to understand, but while there she would bleach my shoes because we were arguing and I said “ f*ck you” and they were never replaced so it was just hectic.
Times I got treated very lower because I couldn’t do much but I was trying but times we would argue and she didn’t like what I would say and she would say im being disrespectful she would kick me out the house and I would be sitting out in the cold for hours all because when I felt I was being disrespected and since its her house I felt like anything I said back it would turn into something more and once it gets there I was always thrown out.
I was essentially in a dark hole and drained that I wasn’t thinking straight and just blaming myself for everything.
She was also mentally drained well so it was just not good for either side because of all the arguing and getting out of character.
I love holidays and so does she, for Halloween we were supposed to get a hotel but last minute my credit card was giving me issues and was unable to figure it out and she was upset with me which i understood.
Also for thanksgiving she wanted to get an airbnb I was opposed to it because I felt it was better to do it from home then get a bnb but she was upset and essentially we didn’t do anything.
Now I was working but it wasn’t an every day thing so times I didnt I would be there just sitting or going to the store or just helping with what I would do and she would just call me lazy and its not like I dont want to do anything its just I dont have a car or anywhere to do so my mind was blank I was just drained but still trying and home wasn’t an option because I wanted to fix us but I made it worse looking back.
When I did make money it was not managed properly we would order food, go to the mall, and it would just be spent quickly.
So Christmas comes and I have money that i wanted to use to get her gifts but 5 days before Christmas she was supposed to go out to eat with her female friend but she cancelled but she still wanted to go . ( mind you we do not have a car we have to uber everywhere)
So she asked if I wanted to I was a bit hesitant because I knew I wanted to use that money for Christmas but she still wanted to go because she had her outfit, hair and everything done so im always wanting her to be good and happy so we went to the restaurant which was (STK). We did bus there to save money but obviously I wanted it to be good and told myself I would figure it out.
Christmas comes wasn’t able to get anything and it was a complete disaster because we went to her parents house the night before and it sucked not being able to do anything because I had nothing.
So I got looked down upon that day and on forward but reality they didn’t know the situation because it was tough to speak upon, that same day we go back to her house its very silent she went back to her parents house she was upset I didnt get anything and so did I but she had food at her parents house I wanted to go back with her I was upset I couldn’t and got mad but I had to understand which I didny in the moment that I came there with nothing.
So next day I had money come in and although it wasn’t anything I could do because I had to wait on a transfer it was late so it was very frustrating to have to do.
Fast forward her birthday is in February 2023,I made money but not enough she wanted a hotel for her birthday and like a decorated room but I was very limited because I dont have much.
So everything I had to do I had to bus to save money she was upset I was doing the bus but I never explained to her that I didnt have much and also didn’t want to stress her.
So I got the hotel and I got her a gift a pair of shoes she wanted and it was not wrapped up because it was very last minute have to bus for hours to get place to place, so she was upset it wasn’t which was understandable.
While she went out to eat for her birthday with her female friend I was taken care of hotel and trying to gather everything with what I had which was very difficult and trying to manage while taking the bus.
So she messages me from her friends phone and Im a bit irritated which I shouldn’t have done especially on her birthday because its not something u do, but she wanted to have the dog there ( which he was ) but it was stressful because of the distance and having to bus but I made it happen.
She got back from her dinner I was drained because it was a stressful day but I could have been way better on her birthday.
So next morning she wanted to look around the hotel and I told her I could come to because it was our first time there and its a nice hotel so was hoping to experience with her , so it became a back and forth because she didnt want me to come and she cried and said I ruined her birthday.
Wasn’t sure what to do but I felt bad aftwards and didnt know what to do. So do goes by we are back at the house like a day later we get into a big argument and I got kicked out.
I didn’t have much and I was waiting on a transfer and to get paid from work, it was draining and all I was thinking in my head was that it can be fixed.
So I was sitting at the airport for 3 days and once my transfer came rather than leaving I got an airbnb for 3 days and we talked and she came over.
Everything was settle and I got paid and it was good timing because her brother was selling his car and she sent him $100 to hold it for me and I was able to buy the car.
So after buying the car her brother owed her money but essentially his debt became mine and I cant remember how but I had the money to give but I was hoping to see if she would let me use the money for like gas and once I get paid again I eould send it back but she didnt want to do that and I got irritated so after the moment I just gave it to her and went from there but I was just hoping she could assist for that moment.
So fast forward end of may 2023 I was kicked out again for an argument and slept in the car but this time I flew home.

So i get home everything is fixed and better and also on top that I got a job I worked this job between may-june it wasn’t the best and it was commission only so I didnt mind leaving.
But durung this time I have a car and its in Canada with her so she drove it one day and hit a parked car to fix the damages on their car it was $2100 I told her I would help and she wanted me to send half and I said ok.
She needed the money right away so I tried ppal but got hit with restrictions and was unable to send and she got mad at me and called me Unreliable and im even showing her that I cant send and she basically said she couldn’t depend on me.
But also around this time it was her female friend birthday and they needed an airbnb so my girlfriend wanted to use my account and they did but they were going half so rather my gf send me money to pay half I payed it for her around this same time im being called unreliable.
So fast forward to June 28th, 2023 I came there and also it was our 1 year but I was home working , the day I came for the money she having to spend for those damages rather than send half of the 2100 she spent I gave her the full amount which was $2100.
But not only did I give her 2100 , we celebrated our 1 year so I got a nice hotel which an ocean view and it was decorated with balloons rose petals, roses in vases lined up, bathtub with petals , wine chocolate.
Not only did I do that I got her a gucci diyonisus purse which she always wanted, I got ger a swavorski tennis bracelet, some soaps from lush, 100 rose bouquet, and a pair of aritzia shorts that day.
I stayed there for 2 -3weeks because I had another job lined up for comcast. So were going to eat, enjoying time , there was arguments and I did get kicked out and I just went home.
I started the job up in july, I came there for 3 days in august and around this time the car I bought broke down and was done so after we would just rent a car.
I ended up leaving because I had to work and came back in September for another 4 days but had left because I had work but we did enjoy ourselves.
So fast forward end of October we are supposed to do a cabin trip , she wanted me to leave my job I was telling her we can hold off because its paying well but she essentially was not understanding and went on about how my job there (which she help me get ) is better which it is but its inconsistent so it was just arguing I went onto leave the job and went up to Canada.
So between October 2023 - December 2023 it was good at first then I stumbled again because my card was acting up again because im constantly spending heavy but also the job Im working there which I knew became inconsistent.
So we were arguing again and she was sick one day so I went out got her some stuff to take but her phone was unlocked so I went through her phone not only did I do that I logged into her ig on my phone and lyft account but what I saw on her ig I didnt like.

I spoke to her about it and she got mad and essentially was saying how I was in her phone while she was sick and how Im a bum and just full on going on and so we argue and I get kicked out and im sitting at the airport for like a good 2 days waiting on my flight because of it.
So I get home we are in 2024 we didn’t speak for like a week or so but shes going to houston with a female friend of hers.
So I ended up getting her flight confirmation from her email and like hours before I cancelled it so she called me and I denied what she was saying but I did end up sending her the money back but I was just denying it.
So here comes February her birthday I was going to come up for it but she didn’t want me around because she said I would ruin her birthday.
But here I am so I was able to get her 2 pair of shoes she wanted, a bodysuit , I sent her money for her dinner , and I paid for her ride to the place she was going to for her dinner while all being in a different country.
So heres the thing when the bodusuit came It was a duty fee because it shipped from Uk to Canada, I did not know and was unaware and I told her I would send the money but once again my ppal is not allowing me to so I have to wire it to my Canadian bank account ,
Shes mad at me and saying how im always waiting to do something on my time and how im unreliable because I couldn’t send the money and Im showing her I couldn’t.
So fast forward to valentine’s day I bought her a rectangle box roses with her initials on it , its about 1k usd on it and it didnt come valentines day due to shipping issues.
I explained to her that something was supposed to come that day but all she did was tell me that im full of excuses and if I wanted to I would .
So it comes next day and its there a lot of whats being said just throws me off because like im trying and nothing seems right.
So fast forward to my birthday which is in April 2024 I didnt get anything like nothing and I was just like whatever.
So fast forward to may 2024 we planned a vacation to tulum at first it was half because its our first trip, but I decided because I wanted to make a staple for any trip after that I would cover the trip expenses which I did for flight and place of stay.
So I travel to her in Canada haven’t seen her In a while she clearly shows signs she doesn’t like me but all im trying to do is work around it and hope the trip helps.
The trip did nothing, she didn’t want me to hug her, kiss her or nothing. We did nothing and times we argued maybe once or twice.
So after the trip we get back to Canada she has to pay for the uber home I told her I would go convert money and give it to her, but when we got back banks were closed and I told her I would go tomorrow.
So next day comes she asking me when do I leave I say the 22nd she tells me I need to leave earlier because she will be leaving with her brother and his gf , but mind u my flight was prebooked before coming and going to tulum.
So im a bit irritated because I was hoping to spend time her and I can’t change my flight and flights are more expensive when booking close to date.
So with having to give her money for uber and also the dog was in a dog hotel I told her I would help with half the money I used for the flight I had to get and to be good while there I needed to use it and I told her I would pay back when I get home.
So shes irritated once again because shes thinking im not going to pay her which never makes sense but I was put at an inconvenience that she didn’t want to understand.
So we in the same house shes avoiding me doesn’t really want me near her, but she wants me to grocery shop and which I did.
So one of those days she leaves im in another room and its hot , I go and grab the fan thats in her room ( which I bought for her) and put in the room im in . She gets back in and says “ first of all dont go in my room and touch my stuff” so then I end up saying l “ first of all “ but then just stopped because it wasn’t going to make anything better.
But then an argument starts up im telling her shes been treating me like shit and she goes on and starts calling me a bum and telling me im broke and asking if im A squatter all because im in the room and mind u I already booked an earlier flight. This happens on a friday and my flight isn’t until monday.
So with all that happening I get kicked out so we just arguing she goes on and opens a full bottle of coke and splashes on me im just chilling not even doing anything because I dont hit women nor do I even get to that point so I bucked at her to back her off and then thats when I went outside.
After being outside trying to make sure i have everything she comes out and has a bottle of soy sauce and starts splahsing it and it even got on my air forces and they are screwed so I left them. She even threw eggs at me.
So im headed to the airport and sitting there till monday which sucks and I get home and im still trying to work it out with her.
So obviously we are talking and we been talking for weeks up until now of last week Thursday we haven’t spoken.
But I tried to get her to understand we both did wrong and need to understand that but she thinks im wanting to shift blame and change the narrative when all im trying to do is get us to understand our wrongs.
So overall she calls me a narcissist, a liar a cheater , a bum, broke, unreliable , a manipulator, gaslighter and essentially just anything.
I would also make numerous numbers, email her to try and talk to her because she would block me and I honestly do hate I did it because thats just a terrible thing to do.
So here are my statements with questions
But when I bring it up to her she doesn’t think its cheating she calls it “ extortion “ but like are you supposed to even be doing that in a relationship

Also she goes and tells me she asked her male friends and tells me they told her that if they girl did it they would be ok which threw me off because that just doesn’t make sense.

She likes to call what I did cheating but doesn’t see what she did as cheating.

So its almost like im here on a fresh start with nothing, but im working do everything I can and she also had to pay for groceries one time and some more stuff, but when I got paid it wasnt much but I still gave her $500 out of what I made for what she spent while I couldn’t for the moment.
We would always argue because of misunderstanding or not wanting to understand, but while there she would bleach my shoes because we were arguing and I said “ f*ck you” and they were never replaced so it was just hectic.
Times I got treated very lower because I couldn’t do much but I was trying but times we would argue and she didn’t like what I would say and she would say im being disrespectful she would kick me out the house and I would be sitting out in the cold for hours all because when I felt I was being disrespected and since its her house I felt like anything I said back it would turn into something more and once it gets there I was always thrown out.
I was essentially in a dark hole and drained that I wasn’t thinking straight and just blaming myself for everything.
She was also mentally drained well so it was just not good for either side because of all the arguing and getting out of character.
I love holidays and so does she, for Halloween we were supposed to get a hotel but last minute my credit card was giving me issues and was unable to figure it out and she was upset with me which i understood.
Also for thanksgiving she wanted to get an airbnb I was opposed to it because I felt it was better to do it from home then get a bnb but she was upset and essentially we didn’t do anything.
Now I was working but it wasn’t an every day thing so times I didnt I would be there just sitting or going to the store or just helping with what I would do and she would just call me lazy and its not like I dont want to do anything its just I dont have a car or anywhere to do so my mind was blank I was just drained but still trying and home wasn’t an option because I wanted to fix us but I made it worse looking back.
When I did make money it was not managed properly we would order food, go to the mall, and it would just be spent quickly.
So Christmas comes and I have money that i wanted to use to get her gifts but 5 days before Christmas she was supposed to go out to eat with her female friend but she cancelled but she still wanted to go . ( mind you we do not have a car we have to uber everywhere)
So she asked if I wanted to I was a bit hesitant because I knew I wanted to use that money for Christmas but she still wanted to go because she had her outfit, hair and everything done so im always wanting her to be good and happy so we went to the restaurant which was (STK). We did bus there to save money but obviously I wanted it to be good and told myself I would figure it out.
Christmas comes wasn’t able to get anything and it was a complete disaster because we went to her parents house the night before and it sucked not being able to do anything because I had nothing.
So I got looked down upon that day and on forward but reality they didn’t know the situation because it was tough to speak upon, that same day we go back to her house its very silent she went back to her parents house she was upset I didnt get anything and so did I but she had food at her parents house I wanted to go back with her I was upset I couldn’t and got mad but I had to understand which I didny in the moment that I came there with nothing.
So next day I had money come in and although it wasn’t anything I could do because I had to wait on a transfer it was late so it was very frustrating to have to do.
Fast forward her birthday is in February 2023,I made money but not enough she wanted a hotel for her birthday and like a decorated room but I was very limited because I dont have much.
So everything I had to do I had to bus to save money she was upset I was doing the bus but I never explained to her that I didnt have much and also didn’t want to stress her.
So I got the hotel and I got her a gift a pair of shoes she wanted and it was not wrapped up because it was very last minute have to bus for hours to get place to place, so she was upset it wasn’t which was understandable.
While she went out to eat for her birthday with her female friend I was taken care of hotel and trying to gather everything with what I had which was very difficult and trying to manage while taking the bus.
So she messages me from her friends phone and Im a bit irritated which I shouldn’t have done especially on her birthday because its not something u do, but she wanted to have the dog there ( which he was ) but it was stressful because of the distance and having to bus but I made it happen.
She got back from her dinner I was drained because it was a stressful day but I could have been way better on her birthday.
So next morning she wanted to look around the hotel and I told her I could come to because it was our first time there and its a nice hotel so was hoping to experience with her , so it became a back and forth because she didnt want me to come and she cried and said I ruined her birthday.
Wasn’t sure what to do but I felt bad aftwards and didnt know what to do. So do goes by we are back at the house like a day later we get into a big argument and I got kicked out.
I didn’t have much and I was waiting on a transfer and to get paid from work, it was draining and all I was thinking in my head was that it can be fixed.
So I was sitting at the airport for 3 days and once my transfer came rather than leaving I got an airbnb for 3 days and we talked and she came over.
Everything was settle and I got paid and it was good timing because her brother was selling his car and she sent him $100 to hold it for me and I was able to buy the car.
So after buying the car her brother owed her money but essentially his debt became mine and I cant remember how but I had the money to give but I was hoping to see if she would let me use the money for like gas and once I get paid again I eould send it back but she didnt want to do that and I got irritated so after the moment I just gave it to her and went from there but I was just hoping she could assist for that moment.
So fast forward end of may 2023 I was kicked out again for an argument and slept in the car but this time I flew home.
( THERE IS MORE TO THIS PART OF THE RELATIONSHIP THAT I WILL HAVE A QUESTION ON IN THE END)
So i get home everything is fixed and better and also on top that I got a job I worked this job between may-june it wasn’t the best and it was commission only so I didnt mind leaving.
But durung this time I have a car and its in Canada with her so she drove it one day and hit a parked car to fix the damages on their car it was $2100 I told her I would help and she wanted me to send half and I said ok.
She needed the money right away so I tried ppal but got hit with restrictions and was unable to send and she got mad at me and called me Unreliable and im even showing her that I cant send and she basically said she couldn’t depend on me.
But also around this time it was her female friend birthday and they needed an airbnb so my girlfriend wanted to use my account and they did but they were going half so rather my gf send me money to pay half I payed it for her around this same time im being called unreliable.
So fast forward to June 28th, 2023 I came there and also it was our 1 year but I was home working , the day I came for the money she having to spend for those damages rather than send half of the 2100 she spent I gave her the full amount which was $2100.
But not only did I give her 2100 , we celebrated our 1 year so I got a nice hotel which an ocean view and it was decorated with balloons rose petals, roses in vases lined up, bathtub with petals , wine chocolate.
Not only did I do that I got her a gucci diyonisus purse which she always wanted, I got ger a swavorski tennis bracelet, some soaps from lush, 100 rose bouquet, and a pair of aritzia shorts that day.
I stayed there for 2 -3weeks because I had another job lined up for comcast. So were going to eat, enjoying time , there was arguments and I did get kicked out and I just went home.
I started the job up in july, I came there for 3 days in august and around this time the car I bought broke down and was done so after we would just rent a car.
I ended up leaving because I had to work and came back in September for another 4 days but had left because I had work but we did enjoy ourselves.
So fast forward end of October we are supposed to do a cabin trip , she wanted me to leave my job I was telling her we can hold off because its paying well but she essentially was not understanding and went on about how my job there (which she help me get ) is better which it is but its inconsistent so it was just arguing I went onto leave the job and went up to Canada.
So between October 2023 - December 2023 it was good at first then I stumbled again because my card was acting up again because im constantly spending heavy but also the job Im working there which I knew became inconsistent.
So we were arguing again and she was sick one day so I went out got her some stuff to take but her phone was unlocked so I went through her phone not only did I do that I logged into her ig on my phone and lyft account but what I saw on her ig I didnt like.
( EVERYTHING WILL MAKE SENSE WITH THE QUESTIONS I ASK LATER ON)
I spoke to her about it and she got mad and essentially was saying how I was in her phone while she was sick and how Im a bum and just full on going on and so we argue and I get kicked out and im sitting at the airport for like a good 2 days waiting on my flight because of it.
So I get home we are in 2024 we didn’t speak for like a week or so but shes going to houston with a female friend of hers.
So I ended up getting her flight confirmation from her email and like hours before I cancelled it so she called me and I denied what she was saying but I did end up sending her the money back but I was just denying it.
So here comes February her birthday I was going to come up for it but she didn’t want me around because she said I would ruin her birthday.
But here I am so I was able to get her 2 pair of shoes she wanted, a bodysuit , I sent her money for her dinner , and I paid for her ride to the place she was going to for her dinner while all being in a different country.
So heres the thing when the bodusuit came It was a duty fee because it shipped from Uk to Canada, I did not know and was unaware and I told her I would send the money but once again my ppal is not allowing me to so I have to wire it to my Canadian bank account ,
Shes mad at me and saying how im always waiting to do something on my time and how im unreliable because I couldn’t send the money and Im showing her I couldn’t.
So fast forward to valentine’s day I bought her a rectangle box roses with her initials on it , its about 1k usd on it and it didnt come valentines day due to shipping issues.
I explained to her that something was supposed to come that day but all she did was tell me that im full of excuses and if I wanted to I would .
So it comes next day and its there a lot of whats being said just throws me off because like im trying and nothing seems right.
So fast forward to my birthday which is in April 2024 I didnt get anything like nothing and I was just like whatever.
So fast forward to may 2024 we planned a vacation to tulum at first it was half because its our first trip, but I decided because I wanted to make a staple for any trip after that I would cover the trip expenses which I did for flight and place of stay.
So I travel to her in Canada haven’t seen her In a while she clearly shows signs she doesn’t like me but all im trying to do is work around it and hope the trip helps.
The trip did nothing, she didn’t want me to hug her, kiss her or nothing. We did nothing and times we argued maybe once or twice.
So after the trip we get back to Canada she has to pay for the uber home I told her I would go convert money and give it to her, but when we got back banks were closed and I told her I would go tomorrow.
So next day comes she asking me when do I leave I say the 22nd she tells me I need to leave earlier because she will be leaving with her brother and his gf , but mind u my flight was prebooked before coming and going to tulum.
So im a bit irritated because I was hoping to spend time her and I can’t change my flight and flights are more expensive when booking close to date.
So with having to give her money for uber and also the dog was in a dog hotel I told her I would help with half the money I used for the flight I had to get and to be good while there I needed to use it and I told her I would pay back when I get home.
So shes irritated once again because shes thinking im not going to pay her which never makes sense but I was put at an inconvenience that she didn’t want to understand.
So we in the same house shes avoiding me doesn’t really want me near her, but she wants me to grocery shop and which I did.
So one of those days she leaves im in another room and its hot , I go and grab the fan thats in her room ( which I bought for her) and put in the room im in . She gets back in and says “ first of all dont go in my room and touch my stuff” so then I end up saying l “ first of all “ but then just stopped because it wasn’t going to make anything better.
But then an argument starts up im telling her shes been treating me like shit and she goes on and starts calling me a bum and telling me im broke and asking if im A squatter all because im in the room and mind u I already booked an earlier flight. This happens on a friday and my flight isn’t until monday.
So with all that happening I get kicked out so we just arguing she goes on and opens a full bottle of coke and splashes on me im just chilling not even doing anything because I dont hit women nor do I even get to that point so I bucked at her to back her off and then thats when I went outside.
After being outside trying to make sure i have everything she comes out and has a bottle of soy sauce and starts splahsing it and it even got on my air forces and they are screwed so I left them. She even threw eggs at me.
So im headed to the airport and sitting there till monday which sucks and I get home and im still trying to work it out with her.
So obviously we are talking and we been talking for weeks up until now of last week Thursday we haven’t spoken.
But I tried to get her to understand we both did wrong and need to understand that but she thinks im wanting to shift blame and change the narrative when all im trying to do is get us to understand our wrongs.
So overall she calls me a narcissist, a liar a cheater , a bum, broke, unreliable , a manipulator, gaslighter and essentially just anything.
I would also make numerous numbers, email her to try and talk to her because she would block me and I honestly do hate I did it because thats just a terrible thing to do.
So here are my statements with questions
- So back in January 2023 her neighbor messaged her , hes married him and my gf never had anything but he still tries but she entertains a conversation with him goes to the internet gets pictures that are similar to her look sends them and he sent her money.
But when I bring it up to her she doesn’t think its cheating she calls it “ extortion “ but like are you supposed to even be doing that in a relationship

Also she goes and tells me she asked her male friends and tells me they told her that if they girl did it they would be ok which threw me off because that just doesn’t make sense.
- So in February 2023 when I got kicked out I messaged this girl I use to talk her and my gf were also friends but me and that girl never had an intimate relationship, but I message her asking her to hang although I wasn’t serious I still said it and it was wrong looking back. I also ended up messaging her happy birthday. Then I messaged a 3rd time in response to her asking if im dating someone ( which she said the name) and I did tell her I was because she did ask me first time when I called her the first time same day I asked her to link but I didnt want her in my business so I then messaged her a 4th time to talk and I called essentially apologizing because I was wrong to be messaging her.
Question
She likes to call what I did cheating but doesn’t see what she did as cheating.
Are both situations cheating ? YES OR NO AND EXPLAIN !!!
- Also I mentioned I went through her phone back December 2023 when she was sick I found out back in April 2023 same time she found out what I did she was messaging a guy flirting comments and about meeting up with the guy and I asked her about the person around when she followed him and she told me she followed him because of her brother and does not speak to him. There was also another message with like the same thing of meeting up for food.
Is it still lying if the person does not want to tell u and they are telling u they do not have to tell u if u actually have something with the person.

- in October 2023 some guy messaged her and called her “ thick” and she responded with a heart. I saw it and asked her why u even responding and she goes on a says “ hes just a friend and he saw when I was skinny” making it seem like its ok for a friend to be calling u thick. Especially being in a relationship.
Is it ok as a female for a friend of urs to be calling u thick and u to respond with a heart

a couple years ago i started university at the school my dad went to when he was my age. while moving me in he reconnected with a lot of his old friends, including a woman who he (apparently) started an affair with during my first semester. for the year leading up to me choosing this university, he had been talking to me about leaving my mother, as we had been at the mercy of her unpredictable rage, anxiety, and emotional episodes for my entire childhood. when he did, all hell broke loose and my mother called me screaming and crying, telling me that our lives were ruined and he was going to give his "inheritance" to this woman. basically, my mom found texts between the two of them, and you can assume the rest. (to clarify, my dad does not come from generational wealth, i have no clue what she's talking about in terms of the "inheritance," and i can't get her to show me any physical proof of money that he's allegedly hiding.)
the thing is, i don't really.... care? i could literally not give a single shit about them not being together. it seems like the natural course of things to me. its also so surprising to me how little i give a shit about my father having an affair. like yes it stings sometimes because i still have loyalty to my mother, she's a part of me whether i like it or not, but honestly, they were miserable together, and i'm really glad they're apart so i don't have to deal with the constant fighting. but to be honest i think the thing that's mostly causing my apathy about the situation is the way my mother has been handling it.
she's basically tasked me (as her "only adult child," her favorite phrase) to get my dad to move back in. she asks me constantly to call him and beg him to come back so she can preserve her image as a good wife, and "keep our family intact," and becomes furious to the point of panic attacks when i suggest that this is inappropriate to ask of her child. she never talks this way to my younger brother, even though he's in high school, almost 17, and interacts with my dad way more than i do, as i'm an out of state college student. it's basically all she talks about to me, but in front of others she's a different story. she's been doing this marriage coaching program (on her own) that she pays at least $300/a month for (just the tip of the iceberg in terms of her financial irresponsibility), and follows all the steps perfectly in front of my dad, playing the nice reformed wife who is ready to forgive and welcome him home. in front of me, though, she's a total monster. she blames me for choosing my university based on my "need for validation," claims that me and my dad have an "emotionally incestuous relationship" because i "always preferred him," and takes out all anger that she has towards him on me. she also berates me constantly for being "too emotionally immature to see what's happening," while perfectly embodying the definition of emotional immaturity herself. i have pointed out this irony.
i'm used to being the emotional receptacle for my mother's anxieties, but this is another level. i'm currently living at home for break, and it's been hell. i want to live with my dad after graduation for a more emotionally stable life, but i can't risk leaving as she would never speak to me. i would likely never get to see my brother or dog again, either. i've told her numerous times to stop asking me to answer for my father's choices, and that he's a grown man who i have no influence over, but saying this makes her furious. i have no clue what to do. i want to have a relationship with her, but i think somewhere deep down i've always known that was going to be impossible. i feel constantly filled with dread and despair over my lack of a stable family. my dad is a good parent and takes much more of an interest in my life, but i don't want him to be my only parent, especially when there are things that he's done that i don't agree with either. i don't want this to become about 'picking sides,' i just want some modicum of support from the people who are supposed to be providing it.
i just keep thinking about how easy things could be if my mom stopped thinking about herself and how this situation makes her look, and paid attention to my needs and used this alone time to genuinely grow as a person. it's like her only attempt at self betterment is just so she can manipulate my dad into coming back, so she can embody the 'perfect family' image that she always wanted. it feels so sick, because she knows so little about my dad that it's painfully obvious that this is all about image. i want her to genuinely change and take an interest in our lives for once.
disclaimer: i do not think that her instability makes her evil, i think she's just sick and needs help. i made her sound really bad in this post, but she has some great qualities. i love her, and when we do manage to get along she can be a super vibrant and kind person. it just feels like her self-soothing impulses have made her completely blind to the needs of others, and made her feel justified in her self-absorption.

I appreciate a lot of different styles of humor, but it's hard to go wrong with "hur hur poopie go bbrrrpt". I'm pretty shy when I'm being myself, but I love getting into character and put on a performance. I live on making the people I care about laugh and being entertained, no matter how stupid I look. I also make random weird noises at times, so there's that.
I'm very much a homebody. My ideal day with a partner is playing games together, cuddling up watching movies/TV, doing some hobbies together (or apart), maybe going out to dinner, having a good bang or two, and more cuddling! That's not to say I don't enjoy going out doing adventurous stuff, because I absolutely do. It's just that 9 times out of 10, I'd vote for staying in.
As alluded to, I have a medium-high sex drive and I'm sex-positive, it's all very important to me. Touch is my primary love language, followed by verbal affirmation and time spent together. I'll admit, I like some clinginess from a partner, but not to the point of creating needless jealousy and tension.
I consider myself an "anti-asshole", politically speaking. It does not mean I'm above talking shit about conservatives, especially those in government and the far-right variety. I simply mean I'm generally against anyone and anything that tries to restrict the rights of ordinary people (no, that does not mean I'm a libertarian). I'm pro-LGBT+ rights, pro-abortion and women's rights, pro-union and work reform, pro-universal healthcare, pro-accessible education, etc.
I also want to promote honesty and clear communication, so I'm putting my full-self out here, flaws and all, hoping the right person appreciates it. Here we go…
I am in therapy and being treated for depression and OCD. I'm almost certainly on the autism spectrum, I sometimes have difficulty reading facial expressions and I tend to be more blunt and honest than tactful in a casual setting.
I am divorced. I know that matters to some people, but not particularly to me if you are or aren't divorced yourself.
I never finished my college degree, but I plan on finishing someday, when I believe it won't just be a money sink.
I'm not opposed to a LDR, but considering I have sexual needs that I'd like to filfill without commitment in the interim, we really need to click. I see myself as monogamous, but I'll consider non-monogamy with the right person.

I'm definitely more of a listener than a talker, but I can go off endlessly given the right topic, and if you are enthusiastic about my blathering. I'm equally as capable of getting into deep, emotional, intelligent, and sensitive subjects as I am being a goofy clown or pervy deviant. No topic is off the table for me and there's no such thing as giving me TMI. I'm very laid back and I very rarely, if ever, get offended.
I appreciate a lot of different styles of humor, but it's hard to go wrong with "hur hur poopie go bbrrrpt". I'm pretty shy when I'm being myself, but I love getting into character and put on a performance. I live on making the people I care about laugh and being entertained, no matter how stupid I look. I also make random weird noises at times, so there's that.
I'm very much a homebody. My ideal day with a partner is playing games together, cuddling up watching movies/TV, doing some hobbies together (or apart), maybe going out to dinner, having a good bang or two, and more cuddling! That's not to say I don't enjoy going out doing adventurous stuff, because I absolutely do. It's just that 9 times out of 10, I'd vote for staying in.
As alluded to, I have a medium-high sex drive and I'm sex-positive, it's all very important to me. Touch is my primary love language, followed by verbal affirmation and time spent together. I'll admit, I like some clinginess from a partner, but not to the point of creating needless jealousy and tension.
I consider myself an "anti-asshole", politically speaking. It does not mean I'm above talking shit about conservatives, especially those in government and the far-right variety. I simply mean I'm generally against anyone and anything that tries to restrict the rights of ordinary people (no, that does not mean I'm a libertarian). I'm pro-LGBT+ rights, pro-abortion and women's rights, pro-union and work reform, pro-universal healthcare, pro-accessible education, etc.
I also want to promote honesty and clear communication, so I'm putting my full-self out here, flaws and all, hoping the right person appreciates it. Here we go…
I am in therapy and being treated for depression and OCD. I'm almost certainly on the autism spectrum, I sometimes have difficulty reading facial expressions and I tend to be more blunt and honest than tactful in a casual setting.
I am divorced. I know that matters to some people, but not particularly to me if you are or aren't divorced yourself.
I never finished my college degree, but I plan on finishing someday, when I believe it won't just be a money sink.
I'm not opposed to a LDR, but considering I have sexual needs that I'd like to filfill without commitment in the interim, we really need to click. I see myself as monogamous, but I'll consider non-monogamy with the right person.
Also I'm 5' 10" (178 cm), bald and bearded, with a little extra around the belly, this is what I look like. I'd like to start a gym routine, but that's easier said than done.

I recently picked up a LowFree Flow 84 from Amazon and I'm noticing an input delay at times when I am pressing lots of keys in rapid succession such as during day-to-day typing. I really love how this keyboard has felt to use aside from this issue, and I would hate to have to make a return. Any advice on how I can address this?
(I have tried typing with other keyboards on my PC and the issue is solely isolated to my Lowfree.)

Now don't get me wrong, the burden of proof falls upon those claiming God's existence in the first place, and I agree there is no solid evidence for God, therefore we must agree that God cannot be proven (though I know they'll always point to their holy book as if that is actual evidence). However, I dont begrudge decent people who happen to believe. Whatever floats your boat I guess, as long as you keep your church really fucking separate from my state. Being raised religious by progressive and open minded people, i was exposed to tons of different religions, in large part because I love mythology. Even if I don't believe in holy texts They are interesting reads. But i came to the conclusion that, even if some religion out there actually turned out to be true, it wouldn't make a single difference to the world. Oh, your faith was right the whole time? Okay. So what? Literally what difference does that make. The world is still the same. All It means is you actually have someone to blame for the state of existence, but that doesn't mean they're any more relevant to everyday life than, say, zeus or ra or whomever. It's not that I am explicitly against the idea that there could be a higher being, but that it literally doesn't matter, it's pointless because it makes zero difference in the actual world. You want to believe in heaven? Okay. Just don't be a dick while you're here on earth. If the promise of heaven or the threat of hell is the only thing keeping you good then that's just kind of pathetic. If there were a God, it'd be neat to find out. Just neat, nothing more. But of course that would only happen post-death, so again, completely irrelevant to life. I have a cold right now and my keyboard is being a peice of shit literally moving around where it types on its own after each character, so if it feels like I'm just repeating myself in circles, thats why. My point is, whether or not there is a God, it changes nothing. |

i’ve had my dog since i was about 11 or 12 years old. i’m 21 and slowly but surely, my dog has been getting older and slower. he has a hard time with his leg, there’s a cancerous thing in his spine, and he has a heart murmur. putting him under for an ultrasound is risky, so my parents decided it’s time to put him down before he gets any worse.
now when i heard this i thought it was the best idea. he’s only getting older and he’ll have a harder time as he ages. originally, there was a spot for monday but then there was an opening for today all of a sudden. my parents are going to visit family tuesday, so saying goodbye today would’ve been better. we prepared ourselves up until the moment, but it’s an hour later and he’s still here. i don’t know what happened to the spot, a error somewhere, but i feel so weird. my head hurts from crying up until the moment, and now i feel guilty about the entire thing.
now we’ll spend the weekend looking at him sadly. i already felt terrible because it just feels like he doesn’t have any idea and he’s living life, barking, playing with toys. of course he has less energy but still! i got into the mindset that i’d have to say goodbye and now i feel terrible looking at him. this all feels so unreal, i also feel really useless because i don’t know how to comfort my mom who’s taking it the hardest. i don’t want to cry in front of her and make her cry or feel like she has to stay strong for me.
i guess i’m lucky in a way, we have another dog here so i won’t feel total emptiness but even that’s gonna be hard since they were so close.
i guess i also don’t know the right way to grieve. when something sad happens or i feel sad, i try to watch dramas or movies that relate best to the situation. but now i’m wondering if i’m a bad person and this is me selfishly distracting myself and avoiding the situation?? what’s the right way to grieve?? i played with him, took pictures of him, called him cute and said i loved him an obnoxious amount and cried even more…

A bit of context, our lease expires at the end of august due to owner selling the home, I am on the lease with one other adult. She was supposed to pay half of rent + utilities as her children live here too, but she has trashed the place. She has 2 un-registered cats, she's hoarded a bunch of junk that fills every room aside me + her kids bedroom, and the kitchen/living area/her bedroom are infested with ants and roaches.
Yesterday, I got an email saying her portion of rent was not paid and we have 5 days to pay 900$ or be formally evicted. I ended up paying it due to what I'd learned from another post about what it could do to my credit if the eviction went thru, and because she told me she had no money/income to pay with.
Now what I want to do is 2 things, first, is send an email to our rental company explaining that I want it on record that I paid all of this months rent, and that my roomate has refused to pay and has not explained herself nor proven to me she has any solution to this problem for the future 2 months. And if possible, is there any way for me to break the lease early, since I'm already 99% sure I've secured an apartment for the 15th of this month. How would I word this to look good? I never was one for legal terms or writing. If I must, I will accept paying "double rent" but I cannot pay my rent here, there, AND her rent.
Secondly, if my roomate does not pay me back the 900 dollars of her rent, or the full next month of rent, how would I properly word an email saying she is a terrible tenant. For the above reasons: 2 unregistered cats, hoarding, filthy living conditions, bug infestation. My room/bathroom is clean and always has been, I have detailed pics of the house, her cats, and can get messaging history of her admitting to lying to our renters to get out of inspections. I was never in a position to report her cats and risk my own housing security, but now it may permanently effect me anyway so I don't know if that makes me look bad.
Any help is appreciated, thank you. In case it's unclear what I need, a template of sorts for what a proper email to my renters is would be lovely, or at least pointers on what information to include.  | I just wanted to share a few more pictures and thoughts about my dog who passed away at the end of April at just shy of 4 years old. Since she passed away, I have done a lot of reflecting on the memories and photos I have of her as well as research on the grain free, diet related dilated cardiomyopathy issue. I was so upset when she died that I elected to not have a necropsy/autopsy performed and I don't regret that decision even though it would have revealed the cause of death. I didn't know it at the time, but she was in congestive heart failure when we took her to the vet. As a matter of fact, she was in advanced congestive heart failure when we took her into the vet. She was breathing very loudly and there was this awful sound like she had water in her lungs. She also vomited daily in the days before we took her to the vet. The ridiculous thing is that the first vet we took her to had the nerve to tell us that he thought she had aspiration pneumonia, gave us antibiotics and prednisone, and sent us on our way. After 72 hours, her breathing was getting worse and so on Sunday morning we took her to the emergency vet which was also our nearest university veterinary school ( I won't name the university). They did chest X-rays and an exam and told us that she had fluid in her lungs (pleural effusion), abdomin (ascites), and fluid was even accumulating in her anterior, inferior neck near where the lymph nodes are located under the jaw. They removed 1.5L of fluid from her pleural cavity and told us that she immediately began to breath better. Unfortunately, they never mentioned that she was exhibiting classic signs and symptoms of congestive heart failure so I didn't think that was the last time I would ever see her. Those veterinarians at the university never one time mentioned the words "heart" and "failure" and "your dog is in heart failure" otherwise I would have come in and seen her one more time. I'll be honest but because they never told me that her heart was failing it makes me wonder if they even had a f*cking clue. I didn't go to medical school or veterinarian school and this was my first large breed dog so I had no experience with heart failure and I didn't know that is what was happening to my dog. She did not make it though her second night at the university veterinary hospital and collapsed and died when they got her up at 2am in the morning for a bathroom break..... yes, they got my very sick dog up at 2am to go use the bathroom, she collapsed and died right there. That is the story of my veterinarian experience with my local veterinarian and the nearest university veterinary hospital. I now have first hand experience with recognizing the signs of heart disease and ultimately congestive heart failure in a dog. If I get another dog, I know I can do the job of an amateur veterinary cardiologist now that I have one death under my belt. With regard to diet related dilated cardiomyopathy, the most recent update from the FDA as of 2022 states that they will not be sharing anymore updates until more conclusive evidence indicates that there is a link between grain free, legume rich, boutique diets and heart disease. In 2023, the University of Guelphe in Toronto performed a 5 month long study on huskies that were fed legume rich diets during the study and determined that there was no correlation between legume rich diets and heart disease and dilated cardiomyopathy. This particular study was financed by Champion pet foods who own Acana and Orijen - 2 brands identified by the FDA as brands who's products were potentially contributing to heart disease and cases of the diet related DCM in dogs. An additional financier of the Univerity of Guelphe study was the Assoction of Canadian Pulse (legume) Growers. My opinion on the legume rich, diet related DCM mystery as someone who fed their dog legume rich dog food for the 4 years the dog was alive until it ultimately died a painful death of heart failure, is that I am not a scientist or a doctor but there does appear to be a significant, non trivial relationship between the new, trendy, experimental, and untested diet containing high quantities of legumes and heart disease and ultimately death in dogs who consume the diet. I think that as more experiments and trials are performed over the next years and decades, an answer will be revealed that links the mysterious heart disease and deaths to the experimental diet and then at that point the FDA will remove the foods from the shelves and the boutique dog food companies will respectively modify their formulas. Unfortunately, more beloved pets will die until that conclusion is revealed. Lastly, I know that I fed my dog an experimental diet that at the time I thought was healthy but in hindsight I now know could have potentially (likely) been linked to her heart failure and death, she also had a few other symptoms that should have raised red flags for me but I overlooked or just missed altogether because of how fast things happened and how much other stress I have in my life. In reflecting on my memories of her, especially the last 12-18 months of her short life, and also in reflecting on the pictures and videos that I captured of her, I do think that she was suffering from hypothyroidism. I have had to do my own research on hypothyroidism and specifically canine hyperthyroidism and I am not a scientist, doctor, or veterinarian, but there were too many symptoms of hypothyroidism to ignore as unrelated to her death. The most important discovery I made about canine hyperthyroidism is that severe cases of hypothyroidism have been linked to enlarged heart and organ failures, especially cardiac failure because hypothyroidism is a metabolic illness that affects the primary functions in the body like capturing energy from food and using those calories to perform primary bodily functions like a heart pumping blood and so on. My dog's symptoms of hypothyroidism that I missed were ridiculous weight gain in the last 12-18 months of her life despite having access to 10 acres of pasture to roam around, work, and expend energy. Her weight at her February 2023 check up was 119lbs and her weight the week that she died in April 2024 was 140lbs. This is a critical observation that I missed and I actually just assumed (assuming makes an ASS out of U and ME) that I was over-feeding her. In reflection, I likely was not overfeeding her. Especially in her last 12 months, she averaged about 1 meal/day of 2 cups of kibble and a couple of tablespoons of wet food or shredded stew beef. I can support my conclusion quantitatively because I bought every single bag of her kibble from Chewy and so I know exactly how much kibble she consumed in her lifetime down to the 8oz cup. When I did the math, the average of cups of kibble per day with all the bags of kibble that I bought on Chewy, was about 2 cups/day. That includes her puppy months at the beginning when I fed her less. Her other symptoms besides the ridiculous weight gain that I missed were, she had lipid spots in her corneas that appeared about 18 months ago. She shedded hair like crazy. Her coat looked very dull over the last 18 months. Her energy level hit a wall about 12 months ago. She panted when she wasn't exercising and when it was not summertime and it wasn't hot outside. Lastly, she took on this "tragic" facial expression over the last 6 months that I have discovered is a trademark symptom of hypothyroidism caused by swelling of the facial compartments, especially above the eyes at the brow line. All of these are symptoms of hypothyroidism and all of them I either missed, overlooked, or didn't connect the dots. A real red flag was her panting and mysterious breathing that I noticed about 18 months ago that could have been related to a heart murmur which could have been related to diet related DCM caused by legume rich diet. In conclusion, my dog was very sick, and it could have been because of a legume rich diet and hypothyroidism at the same time. I missed the red flags and if I had been more diligent, I could have taken her in to the vet 12 months ago and she would be on medicine and still be here today. My main take home message from sharing this long post is to enjoy the little things if that's what makes you happy. Sorry it's been a bit...been busy with moving and the like but hey, you sweet potatoes. I got a couple message asking about us and I finally have a little time, bandwidth, and energy to make an update.
First we are safe now.
Megan and I got an apartment about a month and half ago to 2 months? Idk gotta check my Google calendar but oh my God was it a lot. Basically we chatted and I had found a place and asked her if she was seriously okay with us getting a place together away from this bs and in the city. She was over the moon and got it expedited thanks to her parents who paid our first 6 months of rent. I think they were just happy to get Megan to the city and grant distance between her and her ex wife.
We settled in fairly quickly as Megan didn't have much to move and most the furniture and plates etc were mine. So far so good. Megan is a neat freak and her housewife tendencies kick in a lot. I have to tell her sometimes that we are equal roommates and to leave some chores to me but she hated that so we compromised. She pays less rent because she keeps the home tidy and sorted and we cook together 2xs a week, slurge 1x for takeout or going out and alternate the other days.
Megan has been going to therapy and seems a lot happier. She also has a new job she started last week. It's her first job she got herself, she gloats. She has work friends and goes out without me sometimes and I am so happy for her. She's coming out of her shell.
I have my same job but also have been dating more. Megan and I usually have a time of getting me dolled up and ready for a date and it's been super fun.
Since then we found Megan never really got a chance to find things she like that her wife didn't because Hannah was so controlling. Megan now knows she loves video games. RPGs especially- we have played BG3, All the Dragon Ages, Fables, and Mass Effects to some extent and she plays without me there now. She loves karaoke, trivia, and lots of stuff happening in the city.
Unfortunately Hannah back when we moved saw all Megan's things gone and the letter Megan left saying she was done. I don't know all of what was in the letter aside from her telling me she never said where she was moving. Hannah. Raised. Hell. She went to my house that day but Megan's cousin was there (he was aware the situation) who is renting it out for a bit. He told her he was a new tenant and he didn't know his landlord well or where I was but I don't live there anymore.
Hannah was online immediately posting that I, the homewrecker, and her wife ran off together leaving her alone and heartbroken and if anyone knew where we were to please contact her. We weren't sure what to do but my old neighbors had found the footage after that of Hannah vandalizing my car and other things she did to bully me. We made the police report and she was charged. Court is still on hold as criminal charges are in place as Megan reported Hannah hitting her - which I cannot say how proud I am of her for - and she disclosed it's not the first time she harmed her physically but I don't have permission yet to share what those moments were.
Megan is applying for schooling again and says she wants to be a counselor for queer folk and I am in full support. She's making a savings plan and looking into financial aid but I am not well versed in adults going back to school so I haven't been much help there.
I wanted to let you know the mostly happy ending to things. I think this is the last update unless something drastic happens. We are both safe and healthy and happy and it's looking up. I am excited to be roomies for a while and plus we have Megan's super cool dog who loves snuggles which is great because so do I lol
