Terrasil cream at cvs

Why don't people ever get "athletes hand" ?

2024.05.28 18:36 tiredoutloud Why don't people ever get "athletes hand" ?

A foot and a hand the same thing just the shape a little different. People put hands on doors and the buttons at checkouts all over why no athletes hand even people with fungus on feet and scratch their foot it doesn't spread to hands. I never saw athletes hand cream at CVS. Never heard of it.
Whats going on?

2024.05.23 06:49 Necessary-Bass652 Is my female roommate catching feelings for me?

Ok so i met this girl lets call her Jessica 1 year ago exactly after breaking up with her ex. Shes been single for a year and 4 months, shes extremely hardworking and kind, beautiful and she respects her self a lot by not sleeping with just anyone.
I moved in with her and her brother while back.
Shes a singer and i am a music producer, 7 months ago we worked on a song together and released it, we then filmed a music video where we rented 2 old cars and shot a video around it. The day after we finished the videos we had to return the cars to the owner somewhere in northern florida. Ive never had interest in her since shes not really my type, but that night that we rented the cars she suggested heading to the beach after to catch the full moon.
As we were sitting by the ocean in this private beach she asked me to get in the water with her which i somewhat denied a little bit but ended up just getting in up to my knees. We were having such a blast after the first 20 mins and then we got out the ocean and sit by the sand. This is where it gets interesting, we had this long 20-30 seconds of silence after talking and then I looked over to her and noticed she was starring at me and giving me an interesting look. I looked away and then she asked me right after “what are you thinking rn?” Which idk what i replied back then.
Fast forward to a month and half ago, we had a very bad fight were we almost ended our friendship for good. I didnt see her for 3 weeks since she was out of town, when she came back she still didnt want to talk to me. I gave her space (around 2 weeks more) until she finally decided she wanted to talk it through. We spoked and as the gentleman i am I apologized for any mistakes and confusion i had caused her and somewhat fixed the situation.
Fast forward to 2 weeks ago, she flew back home from los angeles after being there for 2 weeks and half, i promised my self i wouldn’t reach out unless she reached out to me because i was always the one trying to fix things or begin any conversation or activity with her.
———————————————————- THIS IS WHERE IT GETS INTERESTING!
When she got back, 2 days later i decided to invite her for a drink to a place near by where we ended up getting a bit tipsy and we just talked for hours non stop, when we are together and we hangout, we both loose track of time some times. We drove back home and as we drove back i proposed to her that if she accepted me going to dave and busters and getting drunk with me and making a fool of herself i would give her a new song, which she immediately agreed.
The next day we went to this Asian market place were we bougtht stuff to make back at home, we ended up competing to see who made the best ramen (of course i won) as we were cooking, i noticed some closeness and mild touch from her.
Take in mind i used to hate people touching me or giving me hugs, i would always dodge her hugs. She the took a spoon out of her soup and made me eat out of her spoon. I did the same few mins later and she ate out of my spoon without holding it. She then broke an egg and bursted out laughing, and then she got very close to me and laid her head very mildly on my shoulder.
Every now and then i would notice more than 2-3 seconds long starring without looking away. We would do this often. Then the next day the brother arrived from his trip, that night was the night we had agreed to go to dave and busters, even tho the brother was out for a full week and he means the world to her, she did not invite him at all.
As we left to daves that night, we stopped for 2 big drinks at cvs, we arrived at daves and we decided to start drinking in the parking lot, we got drunk and started discussing our song agreement, started arguing a little but not much. Then we went inside and thats when she started to loosen up, she was soo hyped on all the games jumping around, switching her pitch on her voice, getting overly excited for the games. We had a blast, we order a second drink at daves and then we realized we were a bit too drunk.
Everytime we would switch games i would hold her hand and she would not seem to mind. She in one occasion tried to jump on my arms after winning a game. 30 mins later I decided to leave and asked her if she trusted me with doing one last activity. This was around 1AM at night!
I got inside the car with her and drove 35 minutes up north to a private beach (the one we went the first time 6-7 months ago!) we were jamming to music and when we got there, i asked her “you ready to swim in the ocean at night?” Which she replied “but im not wearing any bra under my hoodie, im only wearing a thong” i then said, sucks for you.
She didnt seem to make it a deal that she wasnt wearing anything. We started walking towards the beach and we had to go thru this jungle maze before reaching the sand, she mentioned she was a little afraid of spiders and the dark so i held her hand the entire time, once we got to the sand and the moon was litting the entire beach i let my hand loose and she didnt let go even tho she could.
We sat on the sand, same spot as last time and then I told her “take off your hoodie and your sweatpants” she immediately took of her tops and got naked in front of me, i then got close to her and took of my shirt and handed it to her so that she would feel comfortable. Then grabbed her hand and went for the ocean. I could feel that she wanted to get closer to me but i didnt want to make it to obvious since shes my roomate remember lol
We were holding hands inside the ocean and then decided to head back to the sand to drink some wine. She suggested the wine, not me. We drank and we went back in the ocean where this time we got a little closer. We got back to the sand and then asked her to take her shirt off, i then wrapped her in a blanket i had and put my shirt back. I mentioned i was a bit cold, which then she opened up her arms and wrapped me around. I then put both of my arms around her and for 2-3 mins we were just cuddling in the sand without saying a single word.
As we were walking back to the car, she mentioned that the flip flops i gave her were too big, which then i asked for them back and told her i was going to carry her in my arms all the way back to the car. At first she hesitated but then she let me carry her in my arms. I walked for 15 mins with her in my arms while she was naked and wrapped in just a thin blanket. Got to my car and then took her blanket off and luckly i had a sweater in the back of my car so i put the sweater on her, covered her and we left.
We ended up at mcdonalds at 4am which then we grabbed bunch of fries, nuggets and ice cream. We conversated for another 30 mins in the car just enjoying eachothers company. Next day i took her to joga and when i arrived back home she was eating something, which then she again, fed me in my mouth in front of her brother. I felt a little awkward because her brother was there.
I then just asked her to go to the movies with me just 2 days ago which she agreed. She did not invite her brother again, but she canceled because of an unexpected 1 day trip to mexico for work, but she gave me 2 options for Friday or Saturday to make up for it.
So now, my question is, do you think my roomate is falling in love with me? Or if not, why would she do such activities with me?
Im devating on asking her on a real date this coming Saturday!

2024.05.23 04:49 LengthinessTricky244 Henna on eyebrows gone wrong…

Hello, I want to come on here and see if anyone can relate to the reaction story that I’m about to tell about my Henna experience. If there are any suggestions that any of your folks have, please don’t hesitate to let me know ! So about three days ago, I had went to a lady I came across on Instagram who does temporary and permanent make up on eyebrows. I decided to take a chance and do some henna on my eyebrows. I was gonna go for the option of ombre, but something my body was telling me don’t do ombre,Just give Henna another shot. So before I leave, I washed my face and avoided putting any lotion on my face just to play it safe. So I get to her house and she gets me all set up.She grab some alcohol wipes and wipe on and around my eyebrows. As far as I can tell, things were going good. Let me also remind y’all that this is not my first time getting HENNA I have gotten it before in the past, but I assumed that the lady who did it before just didn’t know what she was doing and dug a bit in my skin and that’s why my eyebrows reacted the way it did, but I didn’t think it had anything to do with my own body rejecting it. Anyways, after she cleans me up and everything, she begins to start the process and as she is applying it, I noticed that it’s really cold, which I’m sure made sense. I don’t expect it to be hot so I didn’t think to much of it. I did however feel a bit of a tingle, but I assumed that’s just how the Henna is as it’s being applied so I didn’t speak up I just let her work. After about an hour and a half, she finishes my brows. I didn’t feel anything wrong once they were done, I just said thank you and I paid the rest of my payment towards her and one about my day. So the next day, I noticed a I noticed red bumps appear on the tail part of my brows so I get to thinking hmm maybe this is just a minor reaction of my skin, allowing the henna to settle on. But the third day gets worse. I woke up and noticed that it was not just red bumps on my eyebrows, but there was blisters as well.… I did panic and I reached out to the lady who did my eyebrows and I let her know what was going on. She had mentioned that this has never happened to She had mentioned that this has never happened before and all she can suggest is that I go to a doctor or get some cream and put a thin layer across both eyebrows. Now, as I mentioned before, this has happened to me in the past so I didn’t think of much of it because when it did happen in the past, it only took a couple days for it to go away, and I didn’t experience what I experienced this time. So I had went to CVS and I asked this pharmacist does he have any cream that he was suggest for what was going on with my eyebrows and he just stood there with a straight face and looked at me and said that they were fine it’ll go away on its on overtime. I automatically knew he didn’t understand or knew what he was talking about, so I just said thanks and walked away . I ended up buying some ointment cream and I bought some Band-Aids so I could cover up the blister area while I was at work because I didn’t want the kids at work freaking out like what’s wrong with my eyebrows or the staff. As I’m at work, I feel the blisters opening like bursting open(I know that sounds nasty and I was thinking the same exact thing as it was occurring)and I kept using my shirt to just clear it because I couldn’t walk away from my post. I didn’t realize until I had got home afterwards that my blisters got even bigger and thicker, and it was just oozing this clear pus. I immediately grabbed my cream and put a thin layer on both eyebrows and I was like I’m just gonna see what happens once the cream kicks in. About 45 minutes later, I grabbed a paper towel and I wiped on both eyebrows because it was still oozing and I didn’t want to just completely wipe too hard on my eyebrow as it does have the blisters and bumps. I didn’t notice after I removed the paper towels after wiping both eyebrows, that the blisters was wiped off like it came off on the paper towel and I could see these big scabs. I was actually pretty happy because that was one less thing for me to worry about and I assumed okay I’ll be fine, I’ll just put some Band-Aids over it and just allow it to continue to heal. The rest of the day went smoothly. I ended up going on my date with my boyfriend and he told me that it just looked like they were burned, but they weren’t too bad so I didn’t think much of it and that’s when today it got even worse. I woke up and I noticed that my right eye was barely opening like my other one and I found it strange…I thought it was just the Band-Aid in the way so I went to the bathroom. I’m looking in the mirror and the first thing I noticed is that my eye is swollen like reallyyy swollen. I started freaking out and I told my best friend and I called my mom and I’m just like I don’t know what happened, I woke up to this ooze was just coming out and my eyebrows were just red and coming out of it and I was just so confused and scared. I ended up going to the ER because everyone was telling me I needed to go so I went. I get there and the doctor looks at me and tells me that I have impetigo and Blepharitis. He then tells me he would prescribe me some antibiotics and that it will take a few days for them to kick in and everything should be back to normal as long as I keep warm water towels on my eye and keep my brows clean and take the medicine. as of right now, I have taken my antibiotics for the day and my eyes still swollen, but I did however, put paper towels over them because they kept oozing still and it’s uncomfortable while trying to sleep feeling wet stuff going across your face. Moral of the story is for me, I definitely learned my lesson this time and will not be doing that again, and I’m also thankful that it was just henna and not ombre because I’m sure it would’ve been even worse due to the he fact that my skin rejects a lot of things such as Henna itself. I do have a question though, do anyone have any suggestions on what they did in a situation like this where it can heal a little faster or? Also, I would post the before and after effects of this whole thing, but I’m too embarrassed by them I know that sounds crazy but they just don’t look good to be posting on here so I’d rather not ha ha!

2024.05.20 18:38 Garden-Gnome-6 Ivermectin Cream Works!

Hi all-- like you my kids have had lice and I've come to reddit for help more than once. I am more or less pro lice-free spray plus combing out every other day/ washing pillow cases those same days as it has worked for us in the past. However my oldest child had a case we absolutely could not shake. I emailed our doctor out of desperation and she recommended Sklice/ ivermectin cream (I know, is it spring 2020 all of a sudden?)
Let me tell you-- it worked like magic. It was truly shocking-- It's been about 2 weeks since I treated her and I'm still combing her out every other day and there has been absolutely nothing since the initial comb out.
It's hard to find-- I had to track it down at a CVS a few miles away. If you're feeling helpless like we were I would try this plus ordering a Terminator comb. Good luck!

2024.05.16 17:29 rivanne [routine help] I'm not exactly sure what my problem is, but I sure do want to fix it.

[routine help] I'm not exactly sure what my problem is, but I sure do want to fix it.
Hi everyone. I'm pretty oblivious when it comes to skincare but I'd like to learn. I consulted the guide, but the problem is (a) some of the guides are 10+ years old now and lots of comments have been deleted. And (b) I'm not sure where to look because I'm not sure what my problem is. I thought I might have hyperpigmentation on my nose, but it doesn't really fit anything on the guide (picture 1). I know I have big-looking pores and sebaceous filament problems but this is a different issue.
My skin is also red and splotchy, with a bumpy, uneven texture in some places. I have KP on my arms and legs, idk if it can affect your face as well? And of course, despite being almost 30, I still struggle with acne.
I'm not sure what my skin type is. If I shower and don't put any product on, it feels extremely dry immediately, then within an hour or two it's oily/greasy. My skin is both oily and flaky at the same time. I'm guessing maybe my moisture barrier has been damaged?
My skin looks worse IRL than it does in the pictures.
Dark spots on nose
Bumpy, splotchy red skin
I don't really have a "routine" as of right now. Morning or night, this is what I do:
  • Wash face - either CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser or Clearasil Rapid Rescue Deep Treatment.
  • If I have acne spots - treat with Clearasil Rapid Rescue Deep Treatment Pads and/or CVS Advanced Acne Spot Treatment
  • Moisturize - usually use Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer, sometimes use Gold Bond Pure Moisture Daily Body and Face Lotion.
  • No sunscreen - I know, bad bad bad. Sunscreen is #1 on my list right now.
I realize the products I'm using are not great. I cannot stand the feeling of moisturizesunscreen sitting on my skin, being slimy or oily. I have discarded other moisturizing products because of this, including Ponds Dry Skin Cream. That stupid Clean & Clear is the only thing I've tried that feels like it actually gets absorbed. But sometimes it feels like it absorbs and doesn't do anything, so I end up putting on multiple layers of it.
Anyway, if you made it this far, thanks so much. I'd like to throw together both an AM and PM routine with a cleanser (and I'm open to double cleansing), actives, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Its hard to tell what actives would help and which would hurt. Which work together, and which are no-nos to use together.
I'm going to Ulta today and would love any product recommendations!
TYSMIA!

2024.05.16 01:01 Livy5000 She should have kept her mouth shut.

This happened many years ago when my now grown kids were 5 and 6 years old. I had a very old but reliable van. The problem is while my van had ac it didn't have it in the back. Since it was summer, hotter than hell and humid being Florida and I had a full day of errands, I put an old cooler in the van. My first stop was the CVS store where I bought 2 bags of ice, a 24 bottle water pack, bottles of juice and because my kids spotted it at the same time I did, 3 tumblers that resembled large soda cans but with different pictures on them. One had a beach scene, another an ocean theme and mine had a lighthouse. I like it so much and it was for sale a buy one get one for free. So I also got one for my mom her's had a lovely garden.
Anyways my boys wanted to hold their "cans". And thats where we encountered a Karen. As were headed outside with our purchases. Karen and her 2 kids around the same age as my kids spotted what my kids were holding and started bugging the shit out of their mom for the same thing. Instead of being a mom, she blew up at me. She started demanding that I return the soda cans. So that her kids would stop bugging her. First I turned around to make sure it was me she was going off on. Then I asked in a disbelieving tone, "Me? You're talking to me? Who the fuck do you think you are? You ain't my mom, dad or my boss and even if you were I would still tell you to fuck off!" My kids quickly backed up and my demon child brought out a towel. I heard my demon child whisper to my angel kid, "This is in case mom sets her off. Remember what happened the last time?"
The last time they were referring to was way back before they were born. But greatly enjoyed that story wanted me to tell them over and over.
Karen had the nerve to scream at me that her kids would pestered her until I returned the soda cans. "That sounds like a "you" problem." Then just to bug her but let my kids know I didn't mean it and it wouldn't actually happen, I turned around and winked at before telling them, " You know I think we should go to Dairy Queen, the candy store, oh and we should also go to Toy R Us!"
Good lord the racket that went up was absolutely amazing and her anger turned her skin interesting shades of reds and purples with a vein sticking out across her forehead. And while that was going on, I was getting my kids into the van. I brought the cooler near to the door and poured all the ice in before putting juice and some water bottles in. Then I took out one water bottle and opened one of the tumblers that my kids had and rinsed it out in front of Karen. I heard her incredulous tone when she said, "They aren't soda cans? They were empty? Why didn't you tell me?" " Because you were rude and assumed you could demand stupid shit from me!"
I added ice and filled it up with water before doing the same thing to the other and mine. I screwed the lids back on and surprisingly her hadn't noticed instead they were still screaming their heads off about soda, candy and toys. She turned around and started screaming at her kids to stop screaming while walking away. Halfway to the store she fianlly screamed that if they shut up she would take them to all those places. Instant silence. I did end up buy ice cream for my kids after dinner. Since they had been so good that day.
If she had kept her mouth shut, minded her own business and been a good mom, she wouldn't have had to go to all the places I mentioned.

2024.05.14 17:01 RevolutionaryRun5515 Affordable Moisturizer suggestions?

Usually i use kiehls ultra cream as my moisturizer but that product is pretty expensive and i figured i would burn through it now that i’m on Accutane. Last time i used a cerave moisturizer it broke me out but i’m not sure if i was using the right product because people are saying it was the body lotion. Does anyone have any suggestions that I could find at CVS or anything like that? Much appreciated

Skincare beginner looking for help figuring out a routine
I'm turning 32 this year and I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to skincare. I have never had a routine, as I've always been lucky to have good skin within needing to do anything to care for it (don't worry though I have plenty of insecurities elsewhere). As soon as I hit 30 though I noticed my face changing and I want to figure out a good routine to keep my skin as nice as possible. I've got the beginning of crow's feet forming under my eyes (not sure if I can do anything about that), and I've got some dark spots, a semi-circle under my right eye along the cheek bone and another spot on my forehead along my hairline.
I don't want to get Botox and I don't want a complicated routine with 6+ steps. I tried looking up basic skincare routines but it was really overwhelming to me - tone, exfoliate, moisturize, mask, retinol, etc etc. I'm going from doing NOTHING and want to start with like, maybe two products to use daily. I know everyone says use retinol and hyaluronic acid, but there's so many products I don't know what to choose. It's all so much.
I got a serum from a dermatologist with hyaluronic acid for the dark spots, but I didn't really feel like it was doing anything. Maybe I was just too impatient. But it also seemed to irritate my cheeks and give me pimples which I never usually get. I used it for about a month or so and wasn't seeing any difference and it was also really expensive so I tried choosing some products at CVS to start with that had similar properties. Right now I'm using two things, which i apply at night before bed:
  1. Burt's Bees firming eye cream on my eyelids and under eyes
  2. Gold Bond Age Renew retinol overnight on my forehead.
I keep both to my eyes/forehead cuz they also seem to irritate my cheeks easily. I also sometimes put some basic Neutrogena lotion on my forehead in the morning.
I'd greatly appreciate any advice on how to modify my skincare routine but keep it simple and not too overwhelming! If it can help with the dark spots and/or crows feet that would be awesome but even just a basic routine to keep my skin nice as I get older would be a good start.
Here are some unedited pictures to show what my skin looks like. My skin is generally "normal" (not oily or dry), rarely get acne, gets very red in the cheeks which I use green cream lotion for, and just starting to get fine wrinkles and dark spots.

You can kind of see the dark spot at the corner of my eye here (my right eye, left side of photo)

2024.05.03 22:35 N-Philly-Res My Colonoscopy prep

I’ve (45M) been sick on and off for a few months now, and Penn Medicine scheduled me for a regular colorectal cancer screening, so good timing I guess.
For the prep, I bought a 238g bottle of Miralax ($8 with CVS discounts), one 6-count box of Dulcolax ($3 with discounts), and 3 Gatorade Lemon-Lime 28oz. bottles ($1.79 each at Target). The Miralax and Dulcolax are Flexible Spending Account/Health Savings Account eligible if you have one.
The day prior to the colonoscopy, only clear liquids were allowed and I drank chicken broth, coffee (no cream), Sprite, and water. Apple juice, tea, white grape juice, ginger ale, and Jell-O are allowed. No red, blue, or purple drinks/Jell-O whatsoever. At 4pm I took 4 5mg Dulcolax tablets, mixed 64oz. of Gatorade with the entire bottle of Miralax and set in the fridge. At 5pm I was instructed to drink 8oz. (using a measuring cup) every 15 minutes up until 6pm. The mixture was definitely ‘thicker’ than drinking Gatorade alone.
At around 7pm I developed a huge headache from the Dulcolax and needed to lie down most of the evening. Also around that time trips to the toilet began, with bowels becoming more watery with each instance. Let me say it was weird feeling, like being sick without actually being sick. Since my procedure was scheduled for 10am, I had to wake up at 4am and drink the remaining 32oz. over the next hour. The Miralax added about 10 more ounces and I struggled to finish it all. Nothing to drink 3 hours before the exam, but I used that time to get more sleep. In total, I must have made 8 trips to the toilet over those 12 hours. I weighed myself the morning of and realized I lost 8 pounds!
The procedure went smooth, no polyps were found, and the performing doctor commented my prep was perfect as my bowels were clear. Luckily I won’t need another for 10 more years. Keep in mind, this is Penn Medicine’s prep instructions, and your doctor may do it differently.

2024.04.30 21:34 SnooCapers3586 Who to see? What to ask for?

Hi all! Not diagnosed just looking for answers. For context, I’m 22 and have gone to a plethora of doctors & many tests over the last few years. They’ve suspected: lupus, RA, hashimotos, lymes disease, and gluten allergy. All negative, and always tested ANA negative. No explanations for my symptoms, always just told “your labs came back normal!”
I’ve had pretty severe reynauds since I was very little, no big deal I’m just usually purple. A couple years ago however, I started getting these episodes where one hand would be purple & cold, & the other would get swollen, painful/itchy, and hot to the touch for a few hours.
My wrists have given me trouble since high school, there were many nights where I couldn’t sleep because the pain in my left wrist specifically was so intense, but it never lasted more than a day or two. Back in December, I woke up and COULD NOT move my left wrist without the most intense searing shooting pain I’ve ever felt. I bought a wrist sling from cvs, and after 3 days I went back to “normal”. (Note: no history of wrist/arm/etc injuries)
I also experience on and off INTENSE lower back pain. I always thought it was somehow related to my cycle, but it happens sporadically throughout the month as well. The 3 days before my period are always the most intense though (even since starting birth control to “help”). I find that sitting/laying down always makes it worse, and otc pain meds don’t seem to help.
Now, the most unrelenting symptom, MY THUMB!!! A little over 2 years ago I experienced a ton of sudden inflammation around my thumb nail. No obvious reason why, but it started causing nail changes. Went to the doctor, was treated for nail fungus and sent on my way. Nothing changed. Went to a different doctor, different fungal treatment, only got worse. Went to a THIRD doctor, ANOTHER FUNGAL TREATMENT, only got worse. Not one doctor actually tested to confirm fungus.
This “fungus” (no way in hell it’s a fungal issue) spread down my thumb into the webbing. My skin was legitimately peeling off in layers, the stuff that stayed became so dry and cracked & scaley that my skin was ripping open daily and bleeding. I started developing these very short lived (and incredibly itchy) red bumps on my palms. I was given prescription eczema cream, helped very mildly but it came back worse. I’m very diligent about using Vanicream now, but my symptoms haven’t subsided. At this point, I no longer have a fingernail on my thumb. It became so brittle it all kind of crumbled off.
The doctors can’t tell what’s wrong with me. I just want to find some answers. Can a dermatologist tell me if this is PA related? A rheumatologist? Where do I even begin? Can you even have PA without patches of psoriasis? It’s been years of pain and frustration and no answers.

2024.04.28 01:37 Necessary_Project_64 Personal opinion

I am willing to bet that Rite Aid doesn’t survive past 2025 AT BEST. Here are my top 5 reasons why:
  1. They are selling the underperforming stores and scripts to CVS or Walgreens making their competitors stronger!!
  2. A weak company going in and out bankruptcy like this can only afford to pay its employees bottom dollar and will not attract top shelf talent. Therefore any new hires are people who have been passed up by other companies they interviewed with and settling for Rite Aid. The management is ready to sell off the remnants of the company to enrich their own pockets at the expense of store employees.
  3. Rite aid is in massive debt to creditors. Profits they earn will not be invested back into the company to improve stores or reward employees rather… profits will first be used to pay back interest… and corporate bonuses.
  4. Rite Aid is a pharmacy that happens to have a store NOT a store that happens to have a pharmacy (Walmart, Kroger, ShopRite, Giant Eagle, Meijer etc.) ALL THE PROFIT has to come from the pharmacy and unlike CVS who has a PBM (Caremark) they cannot get reimbursement rates that CVS gets. And NO: no one is coming to buy Nintendo Wii games of Denise Austin workouts or Dinty Moore canned stew two months away from expiration… nor will Thrifty ice cream or PawTown pet products save Rite Aid when Craftsman and Martha Stewart couldn’t save Kmart and Sears.
  5. Customer Perception… when customers/patients see so many closed Rite Aids or dirty Stores with bare shelves they’re going to associate the store with failure. Pizza Hut for example is in a similar situation where they’re more known for their decline in quality and their closed stores repurposed as other businesses rather than their goods and services.
Rite Aid is screwed.. like 1945 Germany and the Russians and Americans are <100 miles away from Berlin levels of screwed.. desperate measures are too little too late to turn the tide. Any stressed employees have already left and any optimistic employees holding out are in denial.

2024.04.18 20:45 austinnreese Razor upgrade help.

Hey everyone. I’m looking for a good upgrade from the supply razor and my Bali BR 179.
I enjoyed the supply razor however it gets constantly clogged. While on vacation I picked up a CVS Bali. For me it matches the shave of the supply razor but never gets clogged. I also liked the double sided aspect as I don’t have to rinse the blade between every swipe and I get to do 2 passes.
I’ve been looking at the Rockwell 6s and the Henson AL13. Possibly the M since I have thick black facial hair. Thoughts? Suggestions? Is it worth the upgrade vs buying better blades for the Bali?
I use cremo shave cream and usually go one pass with the grain and a second pass against the grain.
Thanks!

2024.04.07 23:17 Mediocre_Science_282 help me figure this out?

help me figure this out?
So, this started about a year ago in the summer. It started on my chin, appearing as acne. It never developed heads, just stayed as red bumps. Gradually over time, it got really dry and eventually flaked over my entire chin. I don’t know if it did this because I put an irritant on it or what, but it was bad.
I tried many things, but never went to the doctor, because I don’t have insurance. I tried Bactrim, an antibiotic a cvs minute clinic doctor gave me, but I ended up being allergic to that so I got off.
Anyways, a nurse at my job took one look at me and gave me Triamcinolone, a topical steroid. It cleared up within days. However, I kept having to use it throughout the summer, but it was significantly. At one point it slightly spread to my eyelids and nose, but it was very minimal and went away with the cream so I wasn’t worried.
I go through the winter and it seems to be gone.
Now it’s March, it’s getting warmer, and this is what it looks like now. It doesn’t really feel like anything other than some bumps. The cream will not get rid of it. It hasn’t progressed worse than this, so I don’t think it will, but I still want this gone.
Can someone please provide some insight? Does it seem anti fungal? Has anyone else experienced this???
For more info in on Sprintec birth control, but I don’t believe that’s what’s causing it, since I’ve been on it forever.

2024.04.04 01:52 w33dbabez How I (started) to clear up my server flare up, without steriods!

Hi everyone! A couple days ago I made a post talking about how horrible of a flare up I was having, and it’s finally clearing up! Here’s what I did:
White Vinagre baths: LIFE SAVOR OMG. I was skeptical at first, worried it might burn and sting when I got it, but it was actually quite soothing. These will help clear up any infections you might have, and just sterilize the skin In general. I used 3 cups in a little over halfway full bath and then “steeped” for about 30-40 mins depending on how much pain I was in. I did these every other day.
Oatmeal baths: Aveeno oatmeal bath treatment 🙏 I took one of these every day when I woke up and steeped for about 30mins. These help sooth redness and make your skin feel super soft.
NO SHOWERS. I would just sit in the empty tub after my oatmeal bath, and run the tub tap and use a cup to rinse off. The water pressure from the shower head usually left me crying from pain, so this was an alternative that worked and kept me clean. I didn’t want to “bathe” in an actual bath because I was worried about sitting in my shampoo while my skin was irritated. I also switch my body wash to Eucerian eczema cream/body wash (I found this at cvs).
Next after I got out of the bath I would apply anti fungal cream. Then once I was FULLY dry I applied Eucerian Original Healing Cream for extremely dry, compromised skin. And I would slather that shit on. I felt like a greased up baby lmao.
Then through out the day as I felt itchy or just dry in general, I would apply the Eucerian anti itch cream.
ALSO BLAST THAT AC!! There is nothing that causes a flare up more than sweat! Make sure you’re in a cool environment, especially if you tend to sweat in your sleep like i do. Yes you might wake up cold af in the morning, but it’s totally worth it!!
It’s obviously not completely cleared, but I am seeing a huge difference! So I’m going to just keep pushing through, and hopefully I’ll have an update with completely clear skin in the next week or so! Thank you all in this sub Reddit for all the wonderful tips I’ve been seeing. And if you’re going through something similar, just remember it does it better! Keep going and don’t give up!

2024.04.03 23:43 Ross5150 Numbing Creams/Sprays

So I use a Braun epilator and I love it. I have been using a generic numbing spray from CVS and it does not really work at all. I am pretty much used to the pain but would like to know what people have found really works. I use it about 15 minutes before epilating. Also I am wondering if a cream would work better. The spray is so thin and I just don't feel like it does anything.
Thanks!

2024.04.03 23:14 CatAffectionate9663 Positive Zurzuvae/Zuranalone Experience

Hi.
I am writing this on a throwaway account because friends and family know my regular username so don't be wary when you see no post history. I'd like to be raw and honest so I am trying to be anonymous. I took Zurzuvae/Zuranalone about a month ago and when I looked for people's experiences online I didn't find many so I thought I'd contribute if it helps any moms struggling like I was.
Background: I am a FTM after a miscarriage with a long history of anxiety. I was on SSRI's before my pregnancy and during. I had an unremarkable pregnancy but went into spontaneous labor at 36 weeks. I had a very traumatic birth-- an emergency c-section and then a 5 day hospital stay. I had to have 2 blood transfusions because of blood loss. At the same time, my LO was in the NICU because he swallowed meconium and had trouble breathing. He was there 27 days total.
So, it was not an ideal experience to say the least and I developed severe PPD that didn't manifest itself totally until he came home. I had severe attachment issues. I didn't understand why my LO seemed to like me. I didn't think he needed me. Even though there was absolutely nothing to worry about after we left the NICU I thought he would die and I didn't feel the love I thought I should. Sobbing. Panic attacks. Migraines. No suicidal ideation but close. Looking back, my PPD was worse than I thought it was once I was out of the thick of it.
My psychiatrist brought up zurzuvae and I was a bit worried because it seemed so new but thought I didn't have much to lose and looking at the studies it seemed like there was a lot to gain. My psychiatrist called it into a local pharmacy (she knew which one)--not like a CVS, Walgreens etc. They called me and told me I qualified for some manufacturer's program and I didn't have to pay a copay. So I really had nothing to lose. I saw some worrying accounts but knew I could stop anytime. My doctor emphasized she really wanted me to try to stick it out to day 3 because studies showed that was when a lot of women felt better. She, as well as the pharmacist, told me that you need to eat a lot of fat while taking the med at night because fat helps metabolize the drug and there are heavy sedative effects. I was not breast feeding so that was not an issue for me. My partner was willing to take over nights.
I was prepared to be a zombie but I ate a cheeseburger, fries, and a Reece's the first night. I was more tired and got a good night's sleep but wasn't critically tired. I would say you need someone who can step in to take care of the baby for the nights at least. I ate a LOT of fat each night--pizza, a pint of ice cream. One night I didn't think I needed the fat as much and felt weird and jittery in bed. I got up in the middle of the night to eat a bunch of peanut butter and then went to bed and felt better. On the days I took the drug when I went for walks I felt so tired and out of it. I eventually just took it easy. I was a bit more spacey and clumsy but not in a debilitating way.
The drug saved me. Truly. I am now obsessed with my little boy. I get possessive of holding him when people are visiting whereas I felt indifferent before. He makes me so happy and I love just watching him. I feel like I "woke" up a different person. It took me 7 days to feel better but I completed the 14 day course. I was horrified by some of the things I said and felt before but I have given myself grace. I cant change the past. I actually feel more resilient in some ways than I ever have. I read how some people in studies felt that way and never thought that would be the case for me. I don't know how to describe it. I just feel stronger and like I can handle things better. My mother is also having health issues right now and I feel like I can deal with that better.
I understand I had the most positive experience and had privileges like a partner who could help, not breastfeeding, and a $0 copay which made it easier. But I would go through fire to have the outcome I did. I want to say that this can work and I urge people who can get access to the drug to try it. I am very passionate about taking PPD more seriously. It was worse than I could have ever imagined. A friend of a friend--who was also an NICU mom--is taking the drug now and she is feeling better too. It's a "new" drug (actually I think its an older drug but now you can take it at home--don't quote me) and seems scary, and PLEASE take all of the warnings into account. If you're on the fence of taking it, please take the plunge. You can always stop it taking it. My psychiatrist told me you can also get a smaller dose or do 2 rounds of the drug if needed.
Anyways, I hope this helped and may help PPD sufferers in the future. Feel free to ask me questions, I will try to answer.

2024.04.03 03:48 ScienceBrat Started tret last week. It feels really oily when applying, like sunscreen?

Is that typical? I got the 0.025% cream formulation filled at CVS. Its really shiny/sparkly when it comes out of the tube and feels like I just applied sunscreen.

2024.04.02 18:40 possum-szn Weird age restricted items

I’m over 18 but under 21 and had to shop an order at CVS for a candlestick lighter and face cream. When I went through self checkout it called an attendant over to ID me and they refused to sell. This is not a state law or something, I’ve had no problem at gas stations or grocery stores, I guess it’s a CVS policy?
And of course support wanted me to just shop the other item and refund the lighter lol, I talked to the customer and she asked to cancel it. But the whole situation is dumb. I’d have an easier time trying to buy a beer at the gas station across the street.
