N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC): Your Body's Champion Against Damage and Disease

Imagine your body as a battlefield. Every day, free radicals, unstable molecules, roam around trying to damage your cells. This constant barrage is called oxidative stress, and it's linked to a variety of chronic diseases. But fear not, for there's a valiant warrior in your corner: N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC).
NAC: The Mastermind of Glutathione Production
NAC is a modified version of the amino acid L-cysteine. Its most crucial role? Boosting your body's production of glutathione, the "master antioxidant." A study by the University of Arizona highlights how NAC effectively increases glutathione levels in human lung cells [1]. Glutathione acts like a cellular janitor, mopping up free radicals and protecting your cells from harm.
Beyond Detoxification: A Multifaceted Defender
But NAC's benefits extend far beyond detoxification. Here's how this superhero supplement can support your health:
Important Note: While NAC offers a range of potential benefits, it's crucial to consult your doctor before starting any new supplement. They can advise you on the appropriate dosage and identify any potential interactions with medications you're already taking.
Embrace the Power of NAC
NAC is a fascinating supplement with a diverse range of health benefits. From boosting your body's natural defenses to potentially aiding with specific health concerns, NAC is a powerful tool to optimize your well-being. Remember, a healthy lifestyle with a balanced diet is essential, and NAC can act as a valuable ally in your fight for a healthier you.

2024.05.14 19:41 Schwloeb Antihistamines (Ceterizine) seemed to have helped tremendously with my PVCs

I've had COVID-19 three times so far, and everytime I get an increase in skipped heartbeats (PVC's + PAC's) for weeks / months after the initial infection. Before COVID, I only had a few per month... And everytime I caught it, the frequency of these increased. Last week I had days with 100+ per day. (I have been to the cardiologist before, they say the PVC's + PAC's are benign and there is no sign of structural heart disease. I did not go to the doc after my latest infection though)
I read that antihistamines could work for long Covid and so I started taking ceterizine 10mg per day. A few days later I have almost 0 palpitations per day. Only a handful here and there. I couldn't believe it. I stopped taking the ceterizine and 3 days later they came back with a vengeance. I started taking it again and 2 days later they decreased again to almost 0.
I am knocking on the wood as I type this, but it seems like I've found some relief for now. I've also cut out some high histamine foods just to be sure.
I can almost not believe a silly 10mg allergy tablet can have such a profound effect on my palpitations... But I am also scared that this is just a temporary bandaid and that I am just 'covering up' an underlying problem.
Anyone else has any idea what could be going on?
And also, if your ectopic beats are from COVID, this might be worth a try!!

How to Pick the Right Air Purifier. Things to consider

Consider the Pollutants You Want to Target:

  • Allergens: Look for a purifier with a True HEPA filter, which captures particles as small as 0.3 microns, including dust, pollen, and pet dander.
  • Smoke and odors: Opt for a purifier with an activated carbon filter, which tackles smoke, cooking smells, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
  • Bacteria and viruses: Some purifiers use UV light or plasma ionization to kill airborne pathogens. However, their effectiveness and safety for long-term use are debated. Consider these features supplemental, not a replacement for true HEPA filtration.
Choose the Right Size for Your Space:

  • Air purifier capacity is measured in Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR). Higher CADR indicates faster air cleaning in a larger room.
  • The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) certifies CADR for smoke, dust, and pollen. Look for a CADR rating that covers your room size for the target pollutants.
  • A general rule: Choose a CADR at least 2/3 the square footage of the room. For example, a 300 CADR purifier is suitable for a 150 sq. ft. room.
Think About Noise Level and Energy Efficiency:

  • Air purifiers run continuously, so noise level is important. Look for models with decibel (dB) ratings that suit your preferences. Lower dB indicates quieter operation.
  • Energy Star certified purifiers use less energy, saving you money on electricity bills.
Additional Features to Consider:

  • Replacement filter costs: Factor in the cost and frequency of filter replacements. True HEPA filters typically need replacing every 6-12 months.
  • Smart features: Some purifiers offer Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing control through apps for scheduling, filter monitoring, and air quality checks.
  • Auto mode: This feature automatically adjusts fan speed based on air quality sensor readings.

What are the Benefits of Using Air Purifiers

Breathing clean air is essential for maintaining good health, and air purifiers offer a powerful tool to improve the quality of the air you breathe indoors. Here are some key benefits you can experience by using an air purifier:

  • Improved Respiratory Health: Air purifiers significantly reduce airborne pollutants like dust, pollen, pet dander, and smoke. This can be especially beneficial for people suffering from allergies, asthma, or other respiratory issues. By removing these irritants, air purifiers can ease congestion, coughing, and difficulty breathing, allowing you to breathe easier and experience improved overall respiratory health.
  • Reduced Allergens and Dust: If you struggle with seasonal allergies or dust sensitivity, air purifiers can be a game-changer. HEPA filters effectively capture allergens as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, dust mites, and pet dander. This can significantly reduce allergy symptoms like itchy eyes, runny nose, and sneezing, leading to a more comfortable and allergy-free living environment.
  • Relief from Pet Dander and Smoke: Pet dander is a common allergen for many people, and air purifiers with HEPA filters can effectively remove it from the air. This can alleviate allergy symptoms triggered by pets and improve overall indoor air quality for pet owners and non-pet owners alike. Additionally, air purifiers with activated carbon filters can help reduce smoke particles and odors, providing relief for those living in areas with wildfires or those exposed to secondhand smoke.
  • Improved Sleep Quality: Clean air plays a vital role in getting a good night's sleep. Allergens and pollutants can disrupt sleep patterns by causing congestion, coughing, and difficulty breathing. Air purifiers can help by removing these irritants, creating a cleaner and more comfortable sleeping environment. This can lead to deeper, more restful sleep, leaving you feeling more energized and refreshed in the morning.
  • Reduced Risk of Airborne Illnesses: While air purifiers cannot eliminate viruses and bacteria entirely, some models with additional features like UV light or plasma ionization may help reduce their spread. Combined with other measures like proper ventilation and hygiene, air purifiers can contribute to a healthier indoor environment by potentially reducing the risk of airborne illnesses.

if you're in Lucknow and looking to hire a skilled and reliable tiles mistri , you've come to the right place. Hiring a professional tiles mistri can ensure that your tiling project is completed with precision and expertise. In this paragraph, we will discuss the benefits of hiring a tiles mistri in Lucknow and how they can assist you in achieving the desired results for your tiling needs. Let's explore the advantages of hiring a tiles mistress in Gomti Nagar Lucknow.

Advantages of Tile Flooring

Tile flooring offers several advantages that make it a popular choice among homeowners. Firstly, tile floors are highly durable, thanks to materials like ceramic, porcelain, or natural stone. This durability ensures that tile flooring can withstand heavy foot traffic and last for many years with proper care. Additionally, tile flooring provides versatility in design, with a wide range of options in terms of shapes, sizes, colours, and patterns.
This allows homeowners to create unique and visually appealing designs that match their style. Maintenance is also a breeze with tile flooring, as it is resistant to stains, spills, and moisture. Regular sweeping and mopping are usually sufficient to keep tile floors looking clean and well-maintained. Furthermore, tile flooring is hygienic and allergen-free, making it an excellent choice for individuals with allergies or respiratory issues. Unlike carpets, tiles do not trap dust or allergens, improving indoor air quality.
Durability: Tiles are known for their durability and long lifespan. They can withstand heavy foot traffic without showing signs of wear and tear, making them ideal for high-traffic areas like kitchens, bathrooms, and hallways.
Easy Maintenance: Tile floors are relatively easy to clean and maintain. Regular sweeping and mopping are usually enough to keep them looking clean and fresh. Additionally, tiles are resistant to stains and spills, making them an excellent option for households with children or pets.
Variety of Designs: Tiles come in a wide range of designs, patterns, and colours, allowing homeowners to create unique and personalized looks for their spaces. Whether you prefer a traditional or modern style, a tile design suits every taste.
Water and Heat Resistance: Tiles are highly resistant to water, making them an excellent choice for areas prone to moisture, such as bathrooms and kitchens. Additionally, they can withstand high temperatures, making them suitable for underfloor heating systems.
Hygienic: Unlike carpet or other flooring materials, tiles do not harbour allergens such as dust mites or pet dander. This makes them a sanitary option for individuals with allergies or respiratory conditions.

Disadvantages of Tile Flooring

While tile flooring has many advantages, there are also a few potential disadvantages to consider. Firstly, tile flooring can be cold and uncomfortable to walk on, especially during colder months or in areas with colder climates. Unlike carpet or vinyl flooring, tiles do not provide much insulation or warmth underfoot. This can be mitigated by using area rugs or underfloor heating systems, but it's important to note this potential drawback.
Cold Surface: One of the main drawbacks of tile flooring is that it can feel cold, especially during the winter months. However, this can be easily solved by installing underfloor heating systems or using rugs or carpets in specific areas.
Hardness: While the durability of tiles is an advantage, it can also be a disadvantage. Tiles are hard and unforgiving, which may not be comfortable for individuals who spend long periods standing, such as chefs or hairdressers. Using anti-fatigue mats in these areas can provide some relief.
Installation Complexity: Proper tile installation requires a certain level of expertise and skill. To ensure a flawless finish, it's important to hire a professional tile mistri in Lucknow with experience in tile installation. Amateur installation can result in uneven surfaces and grout issues.

Improving Home's Resale Value

Investing in tile flooring can be a wise decision if you're considering selling your home in Lucknow or want to increase its value. Here's how tile flooring can improve your home's resale value:

Enhanced Aesthetics

Tile flooring instantly adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to any space. Potential buyers are often drawn to homes with tile flooring, as it is associated with high-end finishes and luxury. Additionally, the wide variety of tile designs and patterns allows you to choose a style that will appeal to a broader range of buyers.

Durability and Longevity

Tile flooring is extremely durable and can withstand heavy foot traffic without showing signs of wear and tear. Potential buyers appreciate the fact that they won't have to worry about replacing the flooring in the near future, making your home more desirable.

Low Maintenance

Buyers are often attracted to low-maintenance features in a home. Tile flooring requires minimal maintenance, making it an ideal choice for busy individuals or those who don't want to spend a lot of time cleaning and maintaining their floors. The easy-to-clean nature of tiles is a major selling point.

Allergy-Friendly

For individuals with allergies or respiratory conditions, tile flooring is a great option. Unlike carpets or rugs, tiles do not trap allergens such as dust mites or pet dander, making them a healthier choice for sensitive individuals. This can be a significant selling point for potential buyers.

Versatility

Tile flooring can be installed in various areas of the home, including kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms, and even outdoor spaces. This versatility allows potential buyers to envision different uses for the space, increasing the appeal of your home.

Tile Grouting Techniques Lucknow

Proper tile grouting is essential for a successful tile installation. Here are some tile grouting techniques to consider when installing tiles in your Lucknow home:

Choose the Right Grout

There are different types of grout available, including cement-based and epoxy grout. Cement-based grout is commonly used and is suitable for most tile installations. Epoxy grout, on the other hand, is more expensive but offers superior durability and stain resistance.

Mixing and Application

Follow the manufacturer's instructions when mixing the grout. Ensure that it reaches the desired consistency without being too thick or too runny. Apply the grout using a grout float, working it into the joints at a 45-degree angle. Using the float, remove any excess grout, taking care not to remove too much.

Grout Cleaning

Once the grout has been applied, allow it to set for the recommended time. Use a damp sponge to gently wipe away any excess grout from the tile surface, being careful not to disturb the grout lines. Continue rinsing the sponge and wiping until the tiles are clean and the grout lines are smooth.

Sealing the Grout

After the grout has cured, it's important to seal it to protect it from stains and discolouration. Please choose a suitable grout sealer and apply it according to the manufacturer's instructions. Allow the sealer to dry completely before using the tiled area.
By following these tile grouting techniques, you can achieve a professional-looking tile installation in your Lucknow home. Proper grouting will enhance the tiles' aesthetics and ensure their longevity and durability.

2024.05.14 12:38 erukami I thought I had dyshidrosis, it was a fungal infection (tinea/ringworm)

I thought I had dyshidrosis, it was a fungal infection (tinea/ringworm)
First and foremost, I am going to say that my situation is unique to me and I am not saying that what I am posting will apply to those reading. Nor am I saying replies on this subreddit are right or wrong. This is just sharing lessons learned in the case it may help others and is NOT medical advice. When it doubt, go read rule 2 of this sub.
TLDR: I thought I had dyshidrosis but I had a fungal infection that looked absolutely nothing like a fungal infection from existing pictures on the internet. Don't be me, go see a doctor for an official diagnosis if you haven't already.
Just to give a little background on me, I have never been diagnosed with any form of eczema or allergies but some of my family has. Additionally, I have had slightly itchy bumps and extremely dry skin on one of my fingers for a few years now and attributed it as dyshidrosis without getting a dermotologist to look at it (failure on my part, lesson learned).
This all changed in February, when I developed swelling and very itch bumps on two of my fingers and the little clusters of fluid filled spots spread across those fingers. I found this subreddit and started trying out things that worked for people here. I tried moisterizers, a different soap, avoiding overly hot water, and soaking/cold compressing my hands. Nothing worked and the clusters had spread to other fingers. Finally talked to a doctor about it (should have done this sooner, but not easy for my area and I idiotically decided to wait it out) through a virtual appointment and they prescribed a steroid cream. The cream looked like it was helping the first day I used it and then I quickly noticed something was not right. The spots had mostly kept to the sides of my fingers but were rapidly progressing towards my fingerprint on one of the initial fingers. Also, spots were appearing in random areas on the affected fingers.
During that, I also noticed this new spot that made me think fungal infection:
Hard to see, but that is a ring
That area had not been affected by the bumps or clusters prior to applying the cream. I consulted multiple pharmacists (no doctors available) about it and they told me I hadn't used the cream long enough to really see a good result. So I posted here:
I waited a few more days only to see continued spread and eventually major blisters, that continuously weeped, appeared on two of my fingers. I tried to find a doctor's appointment to no avail, so I went to talk to a pharmacist again and was told to continue the cream. I also posted here again:
If you gave me advice on either post, thank you for taking the time to respond. I greatly appreciate it.
I luckily landed an in-person appointment with a clinic that had just recently re-opened. Was told to stop the cream and that I probably had a bacterial infection. The doctor also took swabs for testing. I had explained the spread to the doctor and thought to voice my opinion about it being fungal, but I decided against it (I should have, lesson learned). Got a 10 day antibiotic and it quickly took care of the major blisters. It did not solve the clusters or swelling though and I wanted to talk to the doctor again, but was convinced to wait it out.
Towards the end of the antibiotic, I noticed the clusters were spreading again except in a circle pattern, my fingers were still swollen, and spots had started to appear on my other hand. Got another appointment with the same clinic and the doctor suspected it was a fungal infection caused by the bacterial infection (definitely the reverse). Got a 14 day anti-fungal cream prescription and thought that would be the end of this. 5 days later, the spreading didn't stop and I was not noticing any improvements. Decided against waiting it out and contacted the clinic for another follow-up. This time I got a stronger anti-fungal and steroid cream and it wiped out the infection within the recommended application period.
So I had a fungal infection for a little over 2.5 months. Here's some key lesson learned I am taking away from this situation:
  • If you haven't read rule 2 of this sub, read and remember that rule should apply not only to this sub but to the internet in general.
  • Don't wait to see a doctor if you haven't. If you can't afford it, perfectly understandable, but it is still best to see a doctor. I may have gotten to a solution sooner if I didn't wait a month at first.
  • Don't hesistate to voice your concerns to the doctor you see. If you do, be respectful about it. They're not infallible but they have far more knowledge an experience than you. I would have had this solved far sooner if I had.
  • If you feel something is wrong, don't hesitate to seek assistance. Even if you have to get a second opinion from another doctor. I knew the initial steroid cream was not working and yet I kept following instructions.
  • Ask your doctor what tests they are performing and what improvements should look like if they prescribe a medication. I never got results on the swab tests and didn't ask what I should look out for that would require an immediate follow-up. If I had asked what improvements should look like, I may have gotten the anti-fungal creams sooner.
A bit long and slightly off-topic, but I hope people learn from my mistakes.

2024.05.14 12:27 Brief-Outcome-2371 The UA mole is none other than....

Endeavour himself?!
He's not even a UA student! Or a teacher! some of the students shouted.
"Ok Ok...Let me explain myself"
Endeavour clears his throat
"It all began 19 years ago, when my first born Touya just discovered his quirk. A fire quirk like mine called: Blue Flame".
"His fire was much more powerful than mine also much more unstable as Touya's own quirk began retaliating against his own body. I couldn't stand to watch my boy burn his flesh over and over again".
"I forbade him from using his quirk but Touya would never listen. I got word on the street about a mysterious faceless man who could give and take quirks. So the first thing I did was take Touya to him".
"He carefully examined Touya and took note of his quirk which he stated was 'remarkable'. He took hold of Touya's hand and transferred his quirk factor to himself. I had spoken to this man on a burner phone just the night before through some contacts of mine".
"He said to 'to take the quirk from such a young and impressionable lad is such a shame'. Like me he also wondered what kind of hero Touya would grow to be. Now the son of Endeavour being quirkless makes no sense at all so he gave Touya a fire breathing quirk...Which I'm not going to lie did give me some relief".
"Explaining the situation to Rei wasn't too difficult but she did have some questions. Since I asked this faceless man for a favour, he also wanted a favour in return".
"I had no idea until just now that this faceless man was the same faceless man who's after Deku".
"You've got to believe me" the man exclaimed.
"He knows where I live. He's taken hostage of my entire family if he finds out I've turned he'll come for Rei, Natsuo, Fuyumi, and Shoto. He's already taken one son from please not another".
"We'll find him" Deku reassures Endeavour.
Fin.

2024.05.14 12:19 ArtNo6572 Almost completely clear-finally!

After over one year of a terrible eczema outbreak that went from my eyelids, lips, and face all the way down to my knees, and kept getting worse and worse, I am finally almost clear.
Offering this as a few months ago in January, I literally wanted to rip my skin off. This forum was so helpful in just venting and knowing it was not just happening to me.
Here’s what I did. I hope it will help others.
I think the flareup was kicked off, by an extremely stressful period in my life. I did not at first realize it was eczema, especially on my face and used other products. Which aggravated it. When I finally figured it out, I went to dermatologist who prescribed various steroids.
Steroids help for a while, but after a couple of weeks, I would stop and the eczema would come raging back.
In November and December of last year it got much worse. It also started to look different and show up in even more places. I couldn’t sleep bc of the itching and the lack of sleep made it worse. I started feeling sick all the time, was exhausted, and completely demoralized. Instead of little patchy flakes, I was covered with welty red rashes that looked horrifying, and were itchy with no respite. Nothing seemed to work, including steroids. Some of the patches were weeping, and I felt like a monster from a movie.
In late January my GP suggested seeing an allergist/immunologist who suggested bleach baths. Instead of doing the bleach bath, I used hypochlorous spray and it was nothing short of miraculous. I didn’t even need steroids anymore. It stopped the itching almost instantaneously. They also did a patch test for allergens. Which came back with five things, one of which was in my shampoo. They also prescribed Opzelura as instead of steroids.
I switched to all super hypoallergenic products for everything that touches my skin - shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent. I would spray the welts 3 to 5 times a day with a hypochlorous spray. I moisturized 2 to 3 times a day with hypoallergenic eczema moisturizer, usually cerave. I also used Opzelara typically two times a day.
After two months of this, I saw a lot of improvement. But still some occasional new patches, I contacted the doctor who said to up the Opzelura to three times a day and moisturize as much as possible.
Now, two more months later, I am almost entirely clear. I only use hypochlorous spray now maybe 2 to 3 times a week if I have an itchy new patch. The welts are gone. The facial eczema is finally gone. It does feel like it could potentially come back, and I’m going to continue with all of the super hypoallergenic products. I haven’t used steroids at all since I saw this new doctor. Opzelura has helped enormously, although I feel like the hypochlorous and switching products were also equally effective.
While I’m a little on the edge of feeling like I could have another flareup, after one year of feeling like I am not covered with welts makes me almost tearful with joy.
Offering this to this community because I was so miserable. And I know how it feels. Stick with it. The regimen and not touching anything to your body that’s not hypoallergenic kind of sucks but it does work. Some of the products are not the cheapest on the market for sure, but it is well worth it to feel like I can live in my own skin.
If you can, get a patch test to identify allergens that might have developed. I asked a couple of other doctors and they said it’s pretty common to develop allergies in midlife. Your immune system starts to wear down and stress also does contribute. I also have an auto immune disorder which contributes further. Knowing this is an allergy which can be treated was also somewhat empowering.
Stick with it, try different things, and know there can be some relief after a while. This forum had unbelievably great advice. I quit seeing dermatologists because I got more effective solutions from the internet.
I hope this helps someone.

2024.05.14 11:56 MihikaVasant Understanding and Addressing Itchy Roof of Mouth: Causes and Remedies

Experiencing an itchy roof of the mouth can be both bothersome and concerning, as it may indicate various underlying issues. In this informative article, we'll explore the common causes of an itchy palate and provide practical remedies for finding relief.
Exploring the Causes
Allergic Reaction
An allergic reaction is a common culprit behind an itchy palate. Foods, airborne irritants, or medications can trigger allergies, leading to histamine release and subsequent inflammation and itchiness in the mouth.
Dry Mouth
Insufficient saliva production, known as dry mouth or xerostomia, can result in palate dryness, irritation, and itching. This condition may be caused by medications, medical conditions like Sjogren’s syndrome or diabetes, or dehydration.
Oral Thrush
Oral thrush, a fungal infection caused by Candida overgrowth, can affect the roof of the mouth, resulting in a white coating, itchiness, and discomfort. It's more prevalent in individuals with weakened immune systems or certain medical conditions.
Oral Herpes
Cold sores caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV-1) can appear on the roof of the mouth, causing pain, burning, and itching. HSV-1 infections can lead to itching in the upper mouth region.
Chemical Irritation
Certain foods, beverages, or oral products containing irritants can irritate the palate tissue, leading to itchiness. Spicy foods, acidic fruits, alcohol-containing mouthwashes, or abrasive toothpaste are common culprits.
Injuries or Trauma
Physical trauma or irritation to the palate, such as biting, burns, or ill-fitting dentures, can also cause itching.
Remedies for Relief
Identify and Avoid Triggers
If allergies are the cause, identifying and avoiding triggering allergens is crucial. Keeping a food diary can help identify patterns and connections between symptoms and consumed foods.
Stay Hydrated
Drinking plenty of water maintains mouth moisture, alleviating dry mouth-related irritation. Using saliva substitutes or sugar-free gum can stimulate saliva production.
Practice Good Oral Hygiene
Regular brushing and flossing promote oral health. Opt for alcohol-free mouthwashes to avoid further drying the mouth.
Use Topical Treatments
Over-the-counter hydrocortisone creams provide temporary relief. Follow product instructions and avoid prolonged use due to potential side effects.
Try Oral Medications
For persistent cases, oral antihistamines or antifungal medications may be prescribed by healthcare providers to address underlying causes.
Consider Dietary Changes
Eliminating potential trigger foods from the diet, such as dairy or nuts, can help if allergies are suspected.
Manage Stress
Stress management techniques like meditation or deep breathing can alleviate stress-related oral health issues.
When to Seek Medical Attention
If symptoms persist for more than 10 – 12 days or are accompanied by severe pain, difficulty swallowing, or breathing difficulties, seeking medical attention is vital.
Conclusion
While an itchy roof of the mouth can be discomforting, understanding its causes and implementing appropriate remedies can provide relief. Maintaining good oral hygiene, identifying triggers, and managing underlying conditions are key steps in addressing this issue. Remember to consult with a healthcare professional if symptoms persist or worsen.

2024.05.14 11:39 Old-Wrap-6920 Buy Green Xanax Online Without Prescription

Xanax, also known as alprazolam, is a prescription medication used to treat anxiety and panic disorders. This type of medication belongs in a class called benzodiazepines, which work on the brain and central nervous system in order to bring about a calming effect on the user. As such, it works by increasing the amount of gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain. Increased GABA is correlated with a reduction in stress levels and, as such, people who take Xanax typically feel a great reduction in their anxiety and panic disorders. However, while Xanax can reduce the stress levels in the user, it is only meant as a temporary fix for anxiety. Because Xanax is highly addictive in nature, it is extremely dangerous for a person to take this medication long-term, especially if they misuse or abuse the drug. As such, it is imperative that if an individual is seeking relief from anxiety or a panic disorder that they understand the side-effects associated with taking Xanax and what withdrawal from Xanax can look like before taking this medication. On the other hand, if Xanax addiction is already at play, it is essential to the individual’s health and well-being that they seek immediate medical guidance. This article will address all of these concerns by diving deeper into the effects Xanax has on an individual and how to seek appropriate help if the individual is struggling with an addiction to this medication.

2024.05.14 10:11 BipolarBanter Globus Pharyngeus with Complex Comorbidities

I need the otolaryngology medical community’s help, as many physicians have been stumped by my situation. Admins, please read before deciding to delete. I am not a medical professional, but I possess a unique situation that cannot seem to be resolved by the medical professionals available to me. I am not sure how to phrase this without breaking the subreddit’s only rule, so I will try to express it in a manner oriented to my obsessive curiosity to understand my (undiagnosed) condition.

For starters, I have no credentials to confidently say anything I am about to; some of it may even be jargon or irrelevant, but I will try my best.

Eight years ago, I weighed around 285 lbs. I began an exercise routine that caused me to lose about 20 lbs within a short amount of time. During this period, I developed persistent discomfort in my left ear. I noticed the discomfort after visiting my aunt, where there was a 500’ elevation difference. When I came back home, my ear would not pop. Over the course of a week or so, the ear pressure eventually equalized, but everything sounded muffled.

This led me to my first ENT visit. The ENT didn’t really give me much time, and paired me with an audiologist who determined my hearing was perfect. After hearing the unfortunate news of no diagnosis, I asked why I have to pop my ears to hear consistently. I was brushed off and told to see a TMJ specialist. The TMJ specialist told me I’m fine.

This is where my independent research began. I determined that my “popping” was actually me forcibly equalizing the pressure in my Eustachian tube by repeatedly moving my jaw. I went to an in-network ENT. This ENT took offense to my self-diagnosis of Eustachian Tube Dysfunction (ETD) and told me my issues were allergy-related. I was referred to their allergy department and put on immunotherapy shots. After completing my treatment and reaching maintenance, my issue persisted.

Frustrated, I looked online for the highest-rated ENT in my state. This doctor did not accept my insurance, so I decided to pay out of pocket to get the issue resolved. This doctor’s niche was rhinoplasty, and he was the first (and so far last) to give me the time of day. He performed a nasal endoscopy and a CT scan of my sinuses. Both tests revealed nothing of use. He noted I have a slightly deviated septum, but not nearly enough to cause any of my symptoms. However, he did note the sinuses on the side where I’m experiencing discomfort were inflamed. His diagnosis was chronic sinusitis. I was prescribed Azelastine 0.1% (137 mcg) nasal spray (an antihistamine). I used this medication for about a year in conjunction with Flonase, but nothing changed.

Once again, I sought out a different ENT. This ENT also took offense to my description of symptoms because I used medical phrasing (ETD). After a brief consultation, I was told once again that my symptoms were allergy-related. I went back on allergy shots, reached maintenance, and once again the issue persisted.

At this point, I gave up and didn’t bother refilling my prescriptions or finishing my shot treatment. Over the course of a year or two, I developed a severe sinus infection that went several months untreated. It came to the point where I was unable to breathe out of my nose at all, affecting me to the point my family members became concerned, as now there were comorbidities (such as sleep apnea). I eventually saw a pulmonologist who made it clear I needed to see an ENT and get my sinus issues fixed.

Thinking that maybe if I stuck with the same ENT and followed the trial and error process, I went back to the last ENT I saw. I was diagnosed with a sinus infection and prescribed medication. For the first time in months, I was able to breathe again after excreting from my nose what looked like petrified mucus. With this small victory, I returned to the same ENT and expressed my frustrations. I passionately described the location of my discomfort and explained that I believe the Eustachian tube problems I’m having are not the issue but a symptom of something else. I explained that I feel a mass or some sort of inflammation in my throat and mentioned the inflammation found by the previous ENT who performed a nasal endoscopy.

That was a mistake. After expressing my frustrations, I was diagnosed with "globus hystericus." Initially excited to finally have an explanation and a treatment plan, I was disheartened when I was told he could no longer assist me and suggested involving different medical professionals. When I got home and googled my new diagnosis, I realized he was referring me to a psychologist. Needless to say, I didn’t return.

Unable to accept my new reality, I resorted to more independent research. Before I even say this, I want to strongly express how much this improved my symptoms. Mewing, changing my tongue posture, and stopping mouth breathing drastically improved my Eustachian tube pressure over the course of a year. Using a jaw exercisegum daily also significantly reduced my ear pressure issues. Although the discomfort was reduced, it was not fully resolved. Sometimes I’d use a massage gun on my jaw, chin, bridge of my nose, head, and neck, which helped with mucus and provided temporary relief, especially lower in my neck near my chests, this seems to what felt like drain mucus/fluid. I am 120% able to the breath better after, but the “mass” still felt present.

After a while, my circumstances relocated me to a different state, giving me a new opportunity to finally resolve this. I saw a new ENT, and I gave the full rundown of my symptoms and history. I mentioned every medical ailment, bad habit, and quirk I have ever experienced. I mentioned my frequent regurgitation from overeating, how sometimes ground beef or rice seems to get stuck somewhere in the back of my throat, how I sleep on the side where I’m having discomfort, and how I pick my nose in the morning. I also mentioned that I can feel when my ears are producing wax and can remove hot wax with a Q-tip in real-time. I mentioned having tubes as a kid (as I mentioned to every ENT). This ENT diagnosed my issue as being caused by the acid in my regurgitation irritating my sinuses. I was prescribed Omeprazole 40 mg. I took this for a while but realized it was a bandaid on a bigger issue. I needed to prioritize my weight and eating habits.

I eventually started measuring my portions and eating slowechewing my food better, which fully resolved the regurgitation issue. However, I still occasionally get food stuck somewhere in my throat and definitely stuck in my soft palate. I have had my tonsils and adenoids removed when I was a toddler, but I can’t help but wonder if something grew back and is trapping food (I assume this would show in a CT scan).

As of recently, my latest symptom is hairs coming from the back of my mouth. Initially, I thought they were beard hairs, but after the fifth or sixth time, I became fully certain that single strands of hair are coming from the side of my mouth where I’m experiencing discomfort. I can replicate this over a long period of repeatedly opening my jaw (like I have Tourette’s) in an effort to equalize the pressure in my ear. I did some research, and it sounds like it could be a million different things. So once again, I have an ENT appointment coming up.

Now we’re caught up. I started to about a year ago still use the nasal spray and Flonase daily, and I even have a tablespoon of raw local honey. I have ZERO allergies. My ear pressure has progressively gotten worse over the past month, with the frequency of hairs increasing due to my constant need to open and close my mouth for pressure relief. I am not sure what to even tell this new ENT. I need experts to help me navigate the landscape of this condition.

2024.05.14 07:56 wakeupputonpants WIBU about asking a restaurant to fill out an allergy ticket?

My GP wants me to do an elimination diet. I haven't been diagnosed with celiac or gluten intolerance. I have found some relief while on a GF diet in the past, and this could easily be circumstantial given how much crap I had going on, medically.
My question is: Is it reasonable to ask a restaurant to fill out an allergy ticket (full protocol, elimanate all risks of cross-contamination) if I'm just on a medically prescribed elimination diet, and consuming gluten isn't going to cause me to have a medical episode.
It's a pretty big inconvenience to the workers, who have to deal with this kind of shit all the time, so I'd like to know how to navigate these situations before I start. Thanks!

2024.05.14 07:13 Pretty_Currency5335 Persistent cough for 2+ months

F36; Persistent cough for 2+ months.
1st Visit: I started to have a persistent cough since March 4 and constant feeling of post-nasal drip but no mucus. I was able to see a NP at the end of the week, they did a X-ray chest and nothing came up. Throat is clear and not inflamed. I started Albuterol because in the past when I had this type of cough it clear up the post-nasal drip feeling. This time around, I didn't really bring any relief. During this same time I stopped Qulbree (ADHD) 7 days in because it triggered costochondritis.
2nd Visit: 2 weeks after, I saw my primary doctor and they prescribed Arnuity Ellipta with one puff a day. It didn't really bring any relief. Told me to do flonase but that in the past hasn't really helped, so I didn't try it. I saw allergist about 3 years ago and done an allergist test, nothing came up.
3rd Visit: 2.5 weeks after, saw the same NP, she prescribed flonase and allergy medicine in addition to the other previous medicine. I actually took flonase and zyrtec. It has helped some but barely.
4th visit my primary doctor insist it’s asthma cough. She bumped my Arnuity prescription to two puffs twice a day on top of the other medicine. It has brought some relief. The only thing that has brought some actual relief is when I lay down I don't cough as much/don't feel the post-nasal drip as much.
I’m now gonna make an appt with a pulmonologist. What other tests if any should I ask for?

2024.05.14 07:00 Worried_Baker_9220 Is drinking really that bad if it helps block out all the shit

Just like the title says. Substance abuse is the only relief I get. I've tried therapy, IOP, working out (lifting/running), meds, hobbies etc. All the bullshit they recommend but the only thing that brings me any relief are benzos and alcohol. Fortunately I've been able to hop off and stay away from Xanax but alcohol seems to be my only savior. I'm not even physically addicted I just know it brings relief that I wouldn't be able to achieve with anything short of taking myself out. I was just wondering if anyone else is in a similar situation. I know it's horrible for you but honestly at this point I could care less. I ain't really trying to leave a long time anyways.

Me [27F] with my boyfriend [29M] of two years. He took nude pictures of me with a hidden camera in our bathroom.
TRIGGER WARNING: invasion of privacy, mentions of addiction, abusive behavior and stalking
Original Post Oct 20, 2014
I’ve [27F] been with my boyfriend [29M] for just over two years, and up until a couple of weeks ago, I thought everything was going great. We’ve been living together for over a year. We had disagreements about minor things like every couple (me being indecisive about what restaurant to go to, him leaving his dirty clothes outside the hamper, stuff like that) , but for the most part we always got along really well. We share multiple hobbies, and have pretty much spent every day we had off together for the last two years.
A few weeks ago, I was home while he was at work. I needed to work on a project for work that would be much easier to complete on his desktop computer rather than my little cramped laptop, so I texted him and asked if it would be ok for me to use his desktop. He said sure, and texted me the password.
About 30 minutes later I got a little bored and decided to check my facebook. When the site came up, the email and password were already filled out, with an email address I had never seen before. I knew about other email addresses my boyfriend had but had never seen this one. I’m not proud to admit it, but something about the email address that I had never seen after two years together gave me a funny feeling and I snooped.
As soon as I opened it, I realized why he had kept this email account under wraps. The inbox was full of messages from a website for specifically for people looking to have affairs. I opened one up and it allowed me to view his account information. This mysterious inbox was also filled with porn, mostly still images. Now, I like porn. I watch it myself, he knows that, and knows I have no problem with it. But this was something different. There were some pictures of porn stars, but mostly pictures of girls in swimsuits, people we know that looked like they’d been taken from facebook, including some of my really close friends. There were pictures of girls he had taken on the bus surreptitiously looking down their shirts. There were naked pictures of me that I didn’t know he had taken, pictures of me in the shower and in our bedroom. Finally, there were pictures of a female friend of his that had visited for a few days that clearly had been taken in our bathroom – the shower curtain and other items in the picture were recognizable. It was apparent that the pictures had been taken without her knowledge.
At this point I felt completely sick and betrayed. When I confronted him that night he told me it was some kind of addictive problem and he’s been saving pictures of women for years. I confronted him about everything I had seen, especially the account on the cheating site, the naked pictures of his friend that had been taken in our bathroom, and the naked pictures of me that I hadn’t consented to him taking. As it turns out, he admitted that he had a hidden camera in our bathroom for weeks. It was disguised as a flash drive, and he had left it on the counter pointed at the shower and toilet. Apparently it was motion sensitive and would take pictures whenever someone moved in front of it. He said he didn’t have any other pictures from it other than what I had seen, and just compulsively saves pictures he takes by sending them to this email address that I had found, and never looks at them again.
What is this? Is it a fetish? Is it curable? He said he would get help and start going to SLAA meetings but he only went to three and hasn’t been back. I feel violated and sick thinking about this, and welcome any advice or input from anyone who has been in a similar situation.
EDIT: To those saying I should report him to the police - He deleted all of the pictures and the email address the first night that I confronted him about it, and I destroyed the camera (rage overcomes logic sometimes). I'm not planning to file any report to the police and even if I did there would be no evidence. However, I appreciate your comments and for reinforcing how serious this is.
tl;dr: My boyfriend took pictures of me with a hidden camera. Has this happened to anyone else? How, or should, I move forward with our relationship?

Why would you want to stay? You can't trust him. Did you delete the photos of you? Was he cheating the entire relationship? Not that it would have any impact on you staying or leaving. I'd leave regardless. Just curious if he's been doing this the entire time.
OOP
I'm having a hard time writing this in a way that doesn't make me sound pathetic and weak, because logically I completely agree with you. It's hard to me to reconcile the person that I thought I knew for two years and have shared many good times and made lots of memories with, with the person that would do something like this, even though obviously they are one and the same. To answer your other question, he has had the email address and has been saving pictures for years, long before I met him. However, it appeared that all of the pictures up until about 6 months ago were from porn sites, and he only started saving pictures of people that he took more recently.
OOP on if she will ever get the whole truth
Thanks for your comment. As for "the whole truth," at first when I confronted him he told me that he had already gotten rid of the camera. However, once he described it to me, I remembered seeing it in a closet and went and got it - he hadn't gotten rid of it after all. He already showed that he's definitely capable of lying to try to protect himself.
How long since she found the camara
OOP
Two weeks.

Thanks for the response.
Given the horrible red flags, why not immediately dump him? That is what I'm curious about.
I don't know you any better than what you've posted, but you're better than this OP.
OOP
I know you're right. It's tough because we live together, so there's a whole life we have to tear apart from a logistical standpoint (even though it's already been torn apart in a different way). I expect that you will be appalled by this response, but the thought of coming home to this apartment without him here has been unbearably sad to me. I guess I'm not really grieving the loss of this guy, more like the loss of the relationship I thought we had before I found all this out, if that makes any sense. I need to stop making excuses and just get him out of here.
Update Nov 2014
Link to original post
First of all, thank you to everyone who replied to my original post. Some of you came down pretty hard on me but I needed to hear it. Some of you were incredibly kind and I needed that too.
I finally broke down and told my closest friend what had happened. I used my original post to help me do it, since I was having a tough time explaining it aloud. She read the story, and said many of the same things I was told in the comments on my original thread. Most of all, she supported me and validated my feelings that this was a really big deal and not something that could be swept under the rug and forgotten. It was a huge relief to tell her - you know that trite thing people say about a "huge weight lifted off your shoulders?" I know how that feels now.
Before I made my post I had already been talking with my then-BF about how I wasn't sure if our relationship could recover after what he had done, and I had told him that I wanted him to move out to give me space. After my post, and after finally opening up to my friend, I told him that he should plan on the move and breakup being permanent. Up until then I had been a little vague about "taking a break" and "seeing what happens down the road" but once I faced down my emotions about what he had done I realized that I was just trying to soften the blow and the best thing to do was to live in reality and just move forward.
As of two days ago, he is officially moved out. I told my family that the relationship was over, and my parents have been incredibly supportive and are even going to help me pay to keep living in my current apartment so I can take my time finding another place to live and not have to deal with moving right now.
Here's the part you guys probably won't be thrilled about. I'm not going to report him to the police. I did, however, reach out to his friend, the one who was an unknowing victim of this, via facebook (I know, I hate facebook as a means of communication too, but it's the only way I have to contact her). She has not replied to me, and I don't know if she will, but I gave her my contact info and asked her to call me so we could talk. I honestly can't say whether I hope she calls or not, because I absolutely dread having that conversation with her, but guys, if I'm able to get in touch, I will suck it up and tell her. I also told my ex-BF, before he left, that I thought he should tell her himself, but that I planned to, so he may have spoken to her already (though I sincerely doubt it).
I wish for my ex-BF to get well, and to continue attending meetings and get into the recovery process to the point that he is able to live a productive life. It's been a sad, painful path for me to realize the fact that that life will not include me as a part of it, but despite how hard this is in this moment, I believe the ends justify the means.
tl;dr: It's over, he's gone. /relationships, you helped me, and I'm grateful.

I'm glad to see the update and that you rid yourself of him.
I'm very disappointed that you didn't file a police report. He will do it again, and by not reporting him, you're allowing someone else to get hurt the same way you were.

Thank you... People really latched on to the police involvement issue in this thread and while I think it's probably the right thing for other people in similar situations, it's absolutely not the right thing for me right now. I hope other people who have been in a situation like this read your comment too because I think it's spot on but it's easy to forget that.

2024.05.14 05:44 Glittering-Ocean269 Chronic Neck and Facial Eczema

Hi all! I've been struggling with persistent neck and facial eczema that I have been trying to get rid of for months now with no relief. I'm truly at the point of giving up.
I developed a bit of eczema on my neck (near my collarbone and under my chin) a few years ago that would come and go, typically in the colder months. I would put a small amount of steroid cream prescribed by my dermatologist, and it would go away quickly. Just this past year, my eczema has returned worse than ever and has spread across my neck, underneath chin, the nape of my neck, my eyes, and a few spots on my face. I have also developed dandruff which seems to also be eczema on my scalp. My eczema is very red and has a disc-like shape. It doesn't itch much, and my flare-ups are random. It's not super scaly and doesn't weep.
I feel like I have exhausted everything. I tried to cut out certain foods like eggs, dairy, gluten, processed sugar, yeast, etc from my diet with no improvements. I have also tried to keep track of my flare-ups to see a common pattern, and they are completely random. I've switched my laundry detergent to unscented, changed my shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and wear cotton clothes. I also make sure to wash my sheets and clothes frequently. I have tried to keep my stress levels down, but again, my flare-ups just seem random. I have tried so many moisturizers as well, from Eucerin to CeraVe. Although it's not a cure, one natural moisturizer that has been giving me some relief is tallow.
I really don't want to use a steroid cream anymore, or any cream for that matter. Yet, I have been using Tacromilus, which has allowed me to feel normal again and has taken my mind off of my skin for a while. I'm so exhausted from the cycle of trying creams-> eczema clearing up-> stopping them-> experiencing a flare-up. I want to get to the root cause and treat my eczema holistically!
I have gone to an allergist and discovered a few allergies of mine, yet none of them point to the cause of my eczema. I will also be doing a patch test soon, so maybe that will give me some more clarity. I also thought for a while perhaps it could be my vitamin D level or fish oil, so I increased my intake, yet to no avail.
Sorry for the long post...I am just so incredibly spent from trying to figure my eczema out. I am wondering if anyone is going through / has gone through something similar. Is there any way I can treat this naturally? Any advice is appreciated :)

2024.05.14 05:18 Waste-Tomorrow8994 I cannot think of a true reason to stay.

I'm sorry for posting this but I haven't been able to talk about what's really happening the last 12 months because no one cares to listen to people like me. I just really need to write this down so it isn't just inside me forever, I'm not expecting any replies or help, I just want someone to know my story because i dont know when or how it will end. (also i wrote this at 11pm after not sleeping for 3 days, so theres a chance none of this makes sense)
I am 14, turning 15 in a few months.
I have been dealing with severe depression(?) for around 4 years now, but the issues started way before that. there is something seriously wrong with me, and i am not blaming anyone but myself. I'm diagnosed with adhd, severe social & general anxiety disorder, autism, and ptsd. I have an abundance of issues cleaning and taking care of myself which i am extremely embarrassed about.
I attempted to truly end my life first when i was 10 via od on a prescription. the second time i was 11, i tied a ribbon very tightly around my neck, and fell asleep crying from both sadness and relief. i remember waking up, and it was like my body automatically started desperately searching for anything sharp to get it off my neck. i had a red spot on the side for a while after that, i covered it with a fake tattoo so my mom wouldn't have to worry about my older brother as well as me.
I resorted to online learning for middle school after bullying and sexual harassment, plus issues with the school that lead to cps being called. skip forward to now, my only friends are online, and they make fun of me for being autistic, and say they forget im a real person regularly. I understand, i dont expect them to care that much about someone theyve never spoken to in person before, i just wish i could be someones first choice.
december last year i started smoking weed, and that made me forget about how much i wanted to die. unfortunately, that got me addicted immediately. i couldn't bare being sober, if i wasnt high off my mind i was sobbing and shaking. eventually my mom found out, and I (mostly) stopped. unfortunately, the inevitable happened. i started stealing liquor, drank almost a whole bottle of tequila by myself within ~6 days. mom found out about that too, and stopped buying alcohol as well as starting to lock up the medication in the house. this was the beginning of the end. i hate myself for what i did. my mom did everything right, i, however, did everything wrong. i started abusing gabapentin, which quickly lost its magic. i told myself i was never going to touch stimulants or amphetamines, but of course i did. I was desperate to feel something that i started abusing my adhd meds. i hate them, i cant eat or sleep on them, but they make me focus on something that isnt my thoughts.
I've done everything i wanted to do before i go. today was my friends 16th birthday, yesterday was mothers day, and a few days before that was my one year on HRT. (not getting into that right now lol) i didnt think id make it to 13, I truly dont know why I'm still here. I can't remember a day i havent wanted to just leave and be free from emotion and people. I'll probably delete this when i see it in the morning, but i desperately needed to get this off my chest. I had potential, I was smart and kind and bright, and then the people around me grew up, while i was still waiting for my turn.
Maybe if I was born into a different family i could've been a psychologist like ive always wanted to. In another lifetime.

2024.05.14 04:43 skalywagz No as needed pain meds- a rant.

So, back in August I finally started going to a pain clinic after being diagnosed for the past 5 almost 6 years. I was promptly put on trials of different meds and found a few daily's that gave me a little baseline relief and I'd say an extra spoon of endurance lol This doctor also prescribed me codeine phosphate for as needed use. I was hesitant to take it at first, even when it was needed. When I finally took it, it relieved my pain more effectively than my usual naproxen 500s and tylenol ever did.. and I could still layer those meds if I needed to too.(Codeine would take away 60% of my flare pain.. not fully but made me functional enough to take care of basic needs) I almost wanted to cry I was so thankful to have something this effective on my worst days, even if it was only 60%.
Fast forward to February of this year. My pain doctor was transfered somewhere even further than I was already traveling so I asked to be referred to a Dr closer to me. He had a colleague that worked in my town- even better! The first thing this new Dr did was take me off the codeine and wanted me to stop my naproxen and switch it out for meloxicam. Cool beans, however I'm having blood pressure issues so I can't take it until that's under control (its already been over a month and we're still trying to bring it down and figure it out) and I can't start my lidocaine injections until I have an mri of my problem areas which is 6 months wait minimum where I am.
I had an apt with him last week and was basically begging him to give me a script for the codeine phosphate again.. and he started treating me like a drug addict- going on and on about how high risk I am and how it's debatable what the efficacy of codeine is for fibromyalgia. I was calm and explained that I have my pee tested every visit since August and it's never come back positive, if he looks at how frequently I fill the prescription- I actually refill it less than I'm supposed to because I only take it when I need to, and that I'd be more than happy to get a referral from my GP that I have had zero drug seeking/addiction/red flag behaviour in all the time she's seen me (about 10 years). He said, regardless it's a no. So what am I supposed to do? I don't even have a script for naproxen and I have to wait for all these other "super effective" treatments?! TF
I also did go to my gp, who is the most excellent doctor I've ever had (we LOVE her and must protect her at all costs). I explained my frustration and asked her opinion and if she'd be willing to write me a script. She said, he's not wrong about the efficacy debate and she'd rather not prescribe an opiate if at all possible. But she did write me a script for my naproxen 500s at the very least. Which is better than not having them, but still isn't great. Tbh , much easier to hear from her that it's a no.
I'm just so very frustrated. I understand this is all a process and I've come to terms with the fact that pain is something I'm going to deal with for the rest of my life, but damnit..yk?
Anyways, thanks for listening fibrofam 🖤 I just found this reddit a few months ago and it's made such a difference in my life.

2024.05.14 04:36 graceee_25 Feline herpes or something else?

I’m not sure what to do. 3 months ago I took my indoor cat to the vet for you annual where she was completely fine and healthy. 3-4 days later she started getting these dots on her nose and the sniffles/runny nose. A couple weeks later the runny eyes. So bad that she has hair loss where her eyes run. She has to breath out of her mouth because her nose is so stuff up. Also she started developing lumps on her ears with hairless there as well. She’s not really coughing or wheezing but she frequently sneezes.
About 3 weeks later I took her into the vet and told me it was feline herpes and prescribed her lysine. The lysine didn’t change anything and once I finished that I started her on oral nose relief drops for cats, also allergy immune boost oral oil. I told my vet that she wasn’t getting any better but I didn’t want to take her in because of how much that stresses her out and it’s not going to help her recovery. Not to mention, it’s expensive as fuck for them not to do anything that will actually help. Anyways the vet told me to give her a low dose of Zyrtec. I tried that for a while and she seemed to be doing better for a week or two but now I see it getting worse again.
I don’t know what to do or how to help her. She’s miserable and I can feel her fever is back! There is no change in her food except now she doesn’t want to eat so I started giving her wet food, same formula. We moved but that was back in October, to my moms. I thought my mom’s dogs may have triggered it so I moved in with my bf. She was doing better at first but now it’s all back. She’s been in a nice big peaceful house with us so I’m not sure what is causing this, there are also no other animals or plants in the house. I’ve had her for 3 years now and she is 4. She has never had ANY of these symptoms before march. Is this even feline herpes? Do flare ups last 3 months?? Please any advice would be great. My poor baby is miserable.
