My boyfriend is Western , I'm Asian. He moved to my country and lived with me for 3-4 months. I paid for a gym membership that allowed me to bring 2 more people to there with me. But the rule is that I am always the one who has to check in the code before entering the gym, which means that 2 people cannot use my membership card to go to the gym by themselves. And I used it to go to the gym with my boyfriend every day. But this week I had to visit my hometown for about a week, so I had to contact the person who sold me my membership card to ask him to allow my boyfriend to check in at the gym by himself.
And for every day, we wake up, we text each other good morning, ask basic things like what “how was your sleep”, “what u are doing, “ have you eaten anything” , and he always updates me like “ i will book a car to go gym now” “ im on the way gym now”... so same that time, I can text the staff to wait there for him and support my boyfriend.
Until today, after waking up, I texted him good morning. My mind is quite sensitive today because a really bad thing happened to me yesterday and he also knows that. And Of course, my mood, my body, my weakness feelings felt I really needed his attention and his love his care today even more than other days.
After texting him good morning, I continued texting him to say that I couldn't meet him today as planned, What are you doing, when will u go to the gym, do u need any help, … At that time, it was about 2-3 hours before he got to gym every day, but after I texted for about an hour, I still didn't hear any updates from him about his gym. ( I had discussed with the gym in advance and he could check in without staff help today and I told him last night already. Because I already talked with staff, so I have to make sure to know will he go to gym instead of staying home or dont go anymore)
Then I checked his messages again, I saw he was online not too long ago and left my text on seen. I felt quite disappointed at that time but I still didn't want to send more messages to start a conversation first especially after seeing my messages being seen by him. But after about another hour, I was really worried about when he would go to the gym, and would he be able to check in with the staff ok? So I opened the app again and saw he was online a few minutes ago, but this time I sent him another message say that "I miss you". After that about 10 minutes he replied saying "use this photo for checking at gym?" and thats all… don't care about all the other messages I sent. At that moment I felt really really bad, maybe because I was in a bad mood before, but feel and even worse to think he knew I wasn't okay but thats the way he act.
About another 30 minutes, I had to do something else and couldn't wait for his gym update anymore so I sent a few more messages to ask if he had gone to the gym yet... and straight away he replied me "yea".
When he online at that time, I asked him he didn't reply to my message, leave it on seen that made me feel not good. He answered me that what should he reply me
And I feel that was terrible answer, I said that if he was busy at the time I texted, he could told me he was busy and he would reply to my message later instead of just online, and leave it on seen. Then he said "why he have to tell? You have to know by yoursel" I asked back” how can I know when you and me don't live in the same place” And what he means is that at the time he asked about “ Use this photo to check in gym?” I must understand that he was busy going to the gym. And he feels it's normal to take 2 to 3 hours to reply to someone's message
But I feel it's normal when in non-urgent situations (like me, I need to know about his time to go to the gym, so I can make sure he's allowed to go to the gym and then do another stuffs instead of waiting there for his update). Or when he's really busy and can't receive my messages not there online and seen it without reply. ( Specially, for him, every single day, for whole day, all he has to do is wake up, eat, rest play phone, go to gym, go back home, rest, eat, play phone, sleep thats all. )
I feel like usually a person will take a longer time to replying messages from unimportant people, than for their partner. And It makes me feel like I'm not valuable and not priority to him,
I also feel like he talks to me and updates me " I will go to the gym at 2pm, is it ok? " " i will book the car now".. in the past weeks just because he had to ask me to help him communicate with the staff so he could go to gym only. I feel like he doesn't think about my feelings at all and just keep saying that he's right about everything today. I am so childish to have this argument, overrated for just 2-3 hours without any messages …

Hello. I don't usually frequent this sub, and I've only skimmed the rules so I hope I don't make any mistakes in formatting.
tl;dr: 5 years ago, I (now 22F) broke up with a long time friend (now 23M) who I was very close with, almost romantically involved. In the meantime, he became diagnosed with schizotypal disorder, was institutionalized by his parents, refused to go to treatment, and began starving himself (eating about once per 1-2 days, regularly not sleeping for 30-40 hours). More than half a year ago, I was contacted by his mother, who said that he was really not doing well, and that he told her I was his closest and most trusted friend. She asked me to help him, but I'm close to giving up. The only reason I haven't is because I feel bad about his mother and that he says he's always in pain.
Just to quickly summarise, the reason we broke up initially was because we had many many arguments over the years -- he had issues obeying boundaries set by others (he claimed that he wanted to hear facts and logic rather than emotions), and I had been insecure, emotionally unstable, and often did not express myself clearly. The breaking point came when he tried to obliquely pressure me into participating in a furry petplay bsdm roleplay with him as a 'dominant' (without using any of the words -- he claimed it was just about ownership, which is really a type of companionship). We argued about it for days before I said okay, fine. (For context, I was neither a furry nor had any knowledge of bdsm, also I was 16.) Incidentally, he has informed me recently that apparently he had already been roleplaying as a submissive for years online at that point, objected to my characterisation of that as grooming, and claimed that he was trying to be subtle about it because it was taboo.
Now to the present. What I've been doing is mostly ignoring him until I'm mentally ready to say something to him, because it causes me some stress to talk to him. However, he has a plan where he'll reveal the root cause of his pain to me, and that'll allow him to finally work on other things I've been asking him to work on (namely, actually eating, sleeping, keeping a diary, and generally taking care of himself). For this reason, the entire week he has been spamming my dms or even calling my phone. Furthermore, he has started calling me on the telegram app whenever he requires my attention and I don't respond. It frustrates me because often he either calls at past midnight hours, where I'm almost asleep, or in late evenings when I'm either doing work or having fun with my actual friends. Once I was drawing with a friend and he insisted I drop what I was doing to tend to him. Even though I always decline the calls, it serves to draw my attention and force me to engage his chat.
This came to a head yesterday night, because it was 2am, and I was about to fall asleep when he called again. He insisted that he needed to call me now, that it was a life or death situation, a once in a lifetime chance for him to "open his muzzle" and reveal truths. I told him no, and he continued asking/begging, either by saying that he was in a lot of pain, or by asking me if I could hide in the washroom for a 5 minute call or type while he talks (I said that it was bloody 2am, I wanted to sleep, and I didn't want to disturb my family). I maintained a flat no and managed to go to bed again after an hour of this silly back and forth.
The next morning he complains that he hasn't slept, feels immense pain, and that he's extremely upset that I did not pick up his call the night before. We argued even further, and when I returned from lunch he had spammed my dm with upwards of 50 messages. I told him to go to sleep if he was in pain, and when he said he couldnt because he was hungry, to get some food. We argued further and he complained that I wasn't supposed to answer to those messages, and that I knew food was a trigger for him.
After even more arguments, I said that if he cannot stop sending messages to me by himself, I can block him and unblock him for a few hours so he can actually sleep. When I blocked him, he called my actual phone, and told me that it's not the correct method to deal with him (because 'denying curiosity is fueling it', and that 'I should tell him to relax and go to sleep'. I told him to screw off and stop calling my phone without permission, and he told me that he wanted me to delete all the messages since the 50 message spam. So now I've told him I've blocked him until a few hours later, and that I will block him if he calls me thrice today (which he did and I promptly blocked his phone number).
The thing is that I know he is deeply sick, but I don't think I can continue helping him if he continues to repeatedly overstep clearly stated boundaries and continuously making excuses for his behavior. Furthermore, he claims he has been trying hard, but I learnt from his mother that he lied about quite a few things prevent his image from being damaged in my eyes. He also never discusses actual steps he takes to improve his problems (namely, starvation??) but would repeatedly write messages about being in pain, about being a feral animal, and about his paranoia about institutions being out to catch him.
Apologies for the long post. Appreciate if anyone has any input. I understand that being in pain makes self-control difficult, but sometimes I feel like he's just using it as an excuse to act on the first impulse that pops into his head.

I recently found out my wife was cheating on me since February of this year.
Long story short a cardiac episode by me a few years ago and subsequent blood thinners and BP meds sapped my sex drive. I tried talking to her about it a few times over the years but she kept assuring me things were good. Then over the past couple years her parents both passed. This year the anniversary of those events triggered what she called a breakdown and midlife crisis. She convinced herself the lack of sex was not medical and was me seeing someone else so she started going to male review shows and then started seeing someone else.
I had suspicions but she assured me things were good and she would never cheat. Then I found out she did. We argued, then talked. She said she did love me and didn’t want the marriage to end. I told her she had to message this guy and end it. Tell him that it’s over, what they did was wrong and she loves her husband and doesn’t want to hurt him. Then she needs to block the number and delete the contact. She did all this in front of me. I also told her we need to do couples therapy. Which she agreed to
We’ve been more physically intimate and have been reconnecting. We talk more openly like we used to. We talked and she unloaded on me all stuff she had never shared about how she had been treated in past relationships and there’s a lot of unresolved trauma she never dealt with.
We had our first therapy session and we are going to have weekly appointments.
She is trying. And I appreciate that.
But my questions are for those who have been cheated on and stayed together….
How did you rebuild the trust? Every time she is texting someone or working late or weekends (which her job does require from time to time) how do you get past that feeling of doubt. That nagging voice going “is she really working? She told you she was working before when she was really having sex with another guy”
How do you get over the fear that, as she works through her trauma that she will come to realize her shutting everyone out caused her to fall out of love with you. And that feeling isn’t just waiting to be uncovered, but she killed it and buried it and it won’t come back.
Do those feelings ever go away? How did you work through them. I am sure therapy will help but right now all I feel is anger and fear.
Anger, not at the act of cheating ironically, but that had she just been open and honest rather than cloak herself in grief and anger, this could have all been avoided.
And the fear as I described. That when it’s all said and done she killed her feelings for me because that was easier for her than dealing with her pain and trauma. And fear of not getting the ability to trust back, that it will happen again. She rationalized it once and lied about it already
I know I’m in the first steps of this. But any advice would be helpful.

I love exploring the characters' minds and feelings when they realise the world they knew had drastically changed! Maybe they deny everything and act like nothing happened, or they try to find a reason/a solution? whatever it is, id love to discuss more about a plot we could do!
I usually prefer to roleplay on discord (mostly because im obsessed with keeping everything organised haha) but I can do reddit as well! I also love talking OOC about characters and the situation!

Tanks are ridiculous, always have been and always will be. At this point they're not even tanks, actual tanks died a long time ago. What we're left with is bruisers and fighters pretending to be tanks, building tank items and dealing more damage than anyone else or tanks acting as bruisers, either way it's complete killjoy and you lot should change your champions for the sake of humanity. Unfortunately, there are actual tanks who end up having dealt the most damage in the game. You could build Malphite full AP - He's still going to be tankier than your usual champion while being able to burst you as if he's an assassin. Mundo is Mundo. I recently lost a game where we had an enormous lead, they had a *Full Tank* Malphite who could easily 1v3 or 2v5 if they had someone else just for the sake of it. And when I say we had a huge lead, I mean it. I was Draven and I had the most gold in the game, I ended it that way as well. I could basically 2 shot anyone on their team apart from this ridiculous Malphite whose Thornmail pretty much denied my entire build. No amount of Armor Pen, no amount of sustain on my side, no amount of actual damage which my champion rightfully deserves to have, was going to help me take this Dark Souls ass boss down. We end up losing the game as this Malphite solo carried it. Funny thing is, this usually happens most of the time when they've got a tank and the player using him actually knows what to do. A completely clueless tank is still going to do more than your average champion while a good player as a tank could solo carry the game without having any rights to do so. It's painful when you're actually trying to win, trying to come up with some strategy or you're playing a mechanically demanding champion and then there's this bloke with one button on his keyboard who solo carries the game cause this company don't know what to do with the so-called "tanks". Peace.

TLDR: I need the ideal settings for Vodafone Router.
This has been an issue for some time now.
My X box acts like it is not connected to the internet when I use my home internet (Vodafone). I have tried with wired and wireless connection. All other devices on the home network have no issues. I contacted Xbox support and they told me to try a different network. I tried a hot spot from my phone (also Vodafone) nd worked with no issues. Naturally, Xbox told me it was a provider issue and contact them.
So I called Vodafone and after two hours with them, they told me it is a Xbox issue. Their reasoning is that all other devices on my network are working.
Stuck between a rock and a hard place, I started searching online and trying different solutions. After some time, I found a pair from 2018 that suggested it is an issue between the router settings and the Xbox. Since I don’t have another router to test this, I cannot be 100% sure this is the problem but it seems to explain why other device work and ehy the Xbox works on hot spot.
So, long shot here but does anyone know the ideal settings for my router or Xbox to make the two more compatible?

-Following the Scouring and the exile to the Eye of Terror, none of the Traitor Primarchs were interested in unifying the Traitor Legions. Mortarion and Lorgar mostly shunned Real Space. Mortarion busied himself in reshaping his Daemon world into an image of his destroyed homeworld Barbarus. Lorgar self-exiled himself to the Daemon world of Sicarus. Magnus focused his attention on curing his legion from their curse of mutation. Fulgrim lost himself in a spiral of excess and pleasure. Perturabo fixated on pursuing his vendetta with the Imperial Fists rather than the pursuit of grand conquest. And so with no unifying leader, the traitor legions were fragmented by infighting and the cruel whims of the Chaos Gods.
-When Abaddon rose as Warmaster, he resolved to learn from the mistakes of his genesire. He swore to never bend the knee to the gods of Chaos, and to never sell his soul to them no matter how tempting their offers of powers. Abaddon refused to surrender his morality for immortal power and guarded it well.
-The 13th Black Crusade hasn't ended. It's reaching its peak in the Indomintus Era. Though Cadia had fallen, the war for the Cadian Gate continues. Furthermore, Abaddon is expanding his warfront elsewhere such as the Nachmund Gauntlet. These are but a few of the schemes Abaddon seeks to enact to topple the Imperium. Should Abaddon succeed in them then the power of Chaos will be unleashed from the Warp toward Terra itself.
-With each conquest, Abaddon paved a path toward Terra. However, what was unknown for the rest of the galaxy was his plan to unpick the veil between the Materium and the Warp. For thousands of years under the cover of false objectives and even entire Black Crusades Abaddon sought out and destroyed the Pylons wherever he found them. Sometimes he did so personally, other times via his agents, or by using the Planet Killer and the Blackstone Fortresses.
-The Fall of Cadia was the culmination of Abaddon's millennia-spanning grand plan, a plan that tied together the events of Pandorax, the Siege of Fenris, and others. The Great Rift was born, flooding the galaxy with the stuff of the Warp. Acting as his vanguard the traitor legions and renegade warbands smashed their way through the Cadian Gate and emerged on the other side. The traitor forces brought destruction and bloodshed to world after world empowering the Warp and causing the daemonic legions to follow in their wake. Invasion after invasion, the Crimson Path expands toward Terra.
-The Chaos Gods and their legions believe that the fall of Terra and the destruction of the Emperor would be the ultimate prize, the conclusion of the war between the Materium and the Immaterium. Yet, Terra's fall is one part of Abaddon's plan for vengeance, not the end. Abaddon is aware that the ultimate victory of the Chaos Gods would be bad for his mortal self so he has no intention of depending on the Chaos Gods in achieving the victory he seeks. For now, Abaddon is all too content to have the forces of Chaos carve a path toward Terra.
-In the Age of the Great Rift, the forces of Chaos are prowling the stars in numbers not seen since the HH. Not even the Imperium Sanctus is safe from their wrath. However, it's in the Imperium Nihilus where they are at their strongest. Isolated from each other and shorn from the guiding light of Terra, the isolated bastions of the Imperium are being beset by the forces of Chaos from within and without. The overstretched defenders of the Imperium still valiantly attempt to stem the overwhelming tides of Chaos, chief among them are Dante and the returned Primarch the Lion who rage against the encircling darkness. Yet their efforts are nothing but futile gestures. Candles of hope set before a raging inferno of hate.
-Roboute launched the Indomintus Crusade to save the Imperium from collapse yet even this colossal assemblage of Imperial might cannot hope to repel every Chaos incursion. Conflicts are flaring up in every Segmentum of the Imperium and in each the influence of the Despoiler can be felt.
-Though Chaos is ascendant gutted on conquest and slaughter, Abaddon knows that he must maintain the momentum of his Black Crusade by feeding it constant conquests and victories or else risk his forces fragmenting before he could topple the Imperium.
-Abaddon and the Black Legion value value renegades from the Space Marine chapters who join their ranks. These turncoats bring them an abundance of information about the Imperium and its defenders allowing Abaddon's formidable intellect to fashion accurate and complex plans that inflict the maximum damage to the Imperium. In the past it allowed the Black Legion to deceive sector fleets, steal geneseed from loyalist chapter strongholds, and strike at key industrial zones.
-Lord Iordax Quan is one of the most singularly dedicated Black Legion commanders to the cause of destroying the Imperium. His focus on the Long War resulted in him rejecting the blessings of the Dark Gods and surrounding himself with fellow true veterans of the Long War whose thirst for vengeance remains undimmed. His focus, his dedication, has led to Abaddon deploying him to crucial warzones. He is currently serving in the Cadian system purging the last Imperial holdouts.
-Solomon Akurra the character from Mike Brooks' novel "Harrowmaster" is mentioned in the codex. Akurra had seized control of the Serpent Teeth's warband and now commands the mobile Star Fort the Unseen. He gathered around him a loose alliance of Alpha Legion warbands that he dubbed the Ghost Legion. In his burning desire to take the fight to the Imperium, he is exploiting the sorry state of the Imperium to add to its misery. Using his strategic mind and the sinister skills of the Alpha Legion, Akurra had deceived entire systems to swear allegiance to the Ghost Legion further destabilizing the Imperium. The majority of the Psyphos subsector is now under his rule. Yet this is merely the start of the seeds of anarchy he will plant in Segmentum Pacificus.
-When the Great Rift opened, the three stars of a system close to the galactic core and bordering the territories of the Greater Thurian League were swallowed up by the expanding Warpstorm known to the Kin as Orgvayr. The surging Warp energy resulted in the trio of stars going supernova at the same time creating a nebula of tainted clouds of astral debris riddled with Warp rifts which acted as refuge for many Chaos warbands including the Iron Warrior warband known as Abrial's Claw. The determined Iron Warriors took to besieging the mighty strongholds of the Kin and several fell before them.
-The short story "The Traitor's Tarot" from the 9th ED CSM codex is again here in the 10th Ed codex. They added four images to accompany the paragraphs that described the heretical artwork. I appreciate rereading the short, it's a good story but I would have very much liked a new story to come with the new codex. You get me?
-Traitor fleets have no fear of the raging tides of the Warp. They sail through and from even the hearts of Warpstorms. The remarkable ease with which the heretics are navigating the turbulent Warp makes it seem that the hands of the Chaos Gods protect them as they emerge over their prey worlds. Within the darkness of the Imperium Nihilus, the traitors have enacted butchery and atrocity of epic proportions on the isolated worlds of the Imperium. The luckiest of their victims are those who meet quick ends. Those who survive face a fate worse than death at the hands of the heretics.
-Worse still for humanity, within Nihilus many of the traitors' unnatural abilities and blessings are being empowered. Their wargear swell and blaze with the power of the Chaos Gods and their sorcery are reaching new levels of dark majesty and potency.
-The isolation of Imperial territories in the Imperium Nihilus made many Imperial worlds and systems believe that they are the last of humanity. Some broke off from Imperial rule and transformed into their own kingdoms and nations. The decline of Imperial faith soon saw these independent realms and worlds rot from the inside out as the insidious whispers of daemons spread to the populace and Chaos cults flourished.
-Traitor empires are rising in the Imperium Nihilus. Worlds that had once served the Imperium now fuel the warbands and legions of Chaos with their resources and industry. Abaddon has a hand in the creation and location of some of these heretical empires. It's unknown whether these empires are part of some scheme of his or are merely a vision of a galaxy under his rule.
-Vashhtorr's origins are unknown, forgotten by history. It's possible he was created by the technological and scientific advancements of the DAoT, spawned by the galaxy-shaping technology of the Old Ones, or came to being when primitives first mastered fire and created sharp tools.
-Vashtorr and Perturabo enjoy a beneficial but less than friendly relationship with each other. They cooperated in many nightmarish projects. The Daemon Primarch has regularly allied his Iron Warrior warbands with the Arkifane.
-Wyrmwood is a perversion of the tunneling devices used by the Old Ones to create the Webway. It's the Key for the Lock of a vault that contains a godly weapon capable of altering the fate of the galaxy. In search for the lock, Wyrmwood carves its way through the Webway and Real Space in an insane pattern known only to Vashtorr. Wyrmwood is unrestrained by the laws of time and space. The Imperial agents are struggling to catch up to Wyrmwood as it emerges into sectors across the breadth of the galaxy. The daemon world is crossing vast tracks of space in mere hours, that would have taken Imperial fleets months to sail through. By the time Imperial fleet heeded distress calls and arrived at Wyrmwood's reported location, the daemonic world engine would have long departed having left behind nothing but ruined worlds and tears in reality.
-Even the Asuryani, who are enraged at the corruption of the Webway technology and fearful of the damage Wyrmwood will inflict on the Webway tunnels, are struggling to track down Wyrmwood. Their seers are unable to crack the code of Vashtorr's insane search pattern. Only Craftworld Altansar, due to their bitter experience with the Warp and its mutilation of reality, are making progress in tracking Wyrmwood. However, thus far, the Asuryani's efforts to draw Vashtorr into battle were met with dismal failure.
-Reports hint that Wyrmwood is about to appear in the Pariah Nexus. Other reports hint that it will appear in the Ghoul Stars. What is certain is that nowhere is safe from Vashtorr's wrath.
-Vashtorr is a timeless being. Linear time is of no consequence to him. While the efforts of his foes might delay his search, he will have his prize sooner or later.
-Vashtorr has near limitless control over technology. The nature and origin of the technology do not matter to Vashtorr, his understanding is without limit. Vashtorr can unmake or take control of any device created by mortal hands with a mere gesture.
-Within the superstructures of the Soul Forges nests the daemon engines known as the Venomcrawlers. They hunt and down devour daemonic entities that get discarded by Warpsmith and Masters of Possessions. The raging essences of these consumed entities power the daemon engines' weapons. When daemonic prey becomes lacking Venomcrawlers start hunting the Soul Forges' heretic marine masters to keep themselves fed.
-The Dark Mech provides the hosts of Chaos with armor, weapons, daemon engines, and even battle fleets. Without the Dark Mech the armies of Chaos might grind to a halt.
-While the physical shells of captured Imperial war machines are desecrated and reshaped into horrific forms, their machine spirits are sent to the Soul Forges within the Warp to be driven to madness.
-Some Soul Forges are rumored to predate mankind, that they are eternal and ruled over by unknowable entities.
-The captive daemons are dragged screaming by ropes fashioned from the hair of murderers and chains of bones into the Soul Forges where Warpsmiths bind them into daemon engines and then bludgeon them to submission with runic wards and rituals.
-Abaddon is not only feared by the High Lords of Terra. Within the halls of the greatest Xenos Empires, the Warmaster's name invokes fear.
-So mighty has Abaddon become after 10K years that only the Daemon Primarchs could challenge his position. Yet these figures are too focused on their pursuits to risk war with the Despoiler and his vast legion.
-Only Abaddon can unite the forces of Chaos. To do so is a continuous fight for the Warmaster especially when marshaling allied forces whose allegiance belongs to their gods alone. Getting these opposing servants of the Chaos Gods to set aside their rivalries not only for a short period of time but for years is proof of his supreme willpower and the high regard and fear felt toward him by the traitors even by those who hate him and wish him to fail.
-Haarken was once a Night Lord. His ruthlessness saw him rise to the command of the Night Lord warband known as the Gloomtalons. Haarken would lead his warband into raids on the worlds of the Imperium. He would always proclaim his coming victory and a world's doom on the vox broadcasts before leading his formation of raptors through the night sky to butcher any who foolishly resists and make examples of them. Haarken would kidnap the leaders of Imperial worlds and give them the choice of swearing fealty to him or suffering a prolonged agonizing death. Through a network of spies, Haarken ensured the Imperial leaders who bowed before him were kept in line. Thus Haarken grew rich in wealth and plunder. However, despite his successes as a pirate and raider, he found no satisfaction. He felt empty. His black heart yearned to strike a lasting blow against the Imperium.
-Haarken prayers were answered when Abaddon's attention fell on him. During the muster for the fifth Black Crusade, Abaddon offered the Haarken the honor of fighting alongside his Black Legion. Abaddon was straightforward with Haarken. He did not promise Haarken riches and plunder but the chance to strike a telling blow against the hated Imperium. And if he served well Abaddon would grant him further chances to bleed the Imperium. It was as if Abaddon peered through Haarken's soul and fulfilled his deepest desires. Haarken then and there knew he was standing before greatness, a warlord with the strength, charisma, and vision to bring the Imperium crashing down.
-During the battle for the city of Kasyr Lutein, Haarken and his Gloomtalons flew ahead of Abaddon and his Black Legion. Haarken unleashed unspeakable acts of violence and terror on the defenders of the city. The demoralized Imperials were annihilated by the combined might of the Black Legion and the Night Lords.
-Ultimately, the Fifth Black Crusade came to an end and the traitors were forced back to the Eye of Terror. However, the Imperials paid a terrible price to do so and the Elysian sector was ravaged. Having witnessed firsthand the supreme might and leadership of Abaddon, Haarken bent the knee to the Despoiler and donned the black and gold of the Black Legion. Since then Haarken carved a place for himself among the vanguard of the Black Legion eventually earning himself the title of the Worldclaimer for the countless worlds he conquered in the name of Abaddon.
-Abaddon acknowledged the loyalty and good service of Haarken by bestowing upon him the title of the "Herald of the Apocalypse" and the Helspear, a weapon that befits his new position as Abaddon's mouthpiece.
-Haarken is wholly devoted to Abaddon and his cause. From the Nachmund Gauntlet, he is committed to tearing a path toward the Sol system. He yearns for the day when he would drive his spear into Terra's surface and proclaim the end of the rule of the False Emperor.
-The Iron Warriors honor the Chaos Gods as a pantheon, though few among their number are truly devoted. Their true loyalty belongs to their Daemon Primarch whom they believe saved them from being sacrificed by the Emperor.
-Many Chaos warlords look down on the methods of Alpha Legion, but Abaddon does not. Abaddon appreciates their skills and makes good use of them. More than once the Warmaster employed the Alpha Legion to sow discord and anarchy before his invading fleets. However, Abaddon knows that the Alpha Legion are dangerous allies for their goals and true motivations are closely guarded secrets.
-Despite the revulsion and mistrust Abaddon feels toward the Word Bearers for reminding him of the shameful depths Horus fell into in his worship of the Chaos Gods. he had made common cause with them on many occasions. The effectiveness of the Word Bearers as warriors, both possessed or not, is something the Warmaster cannot deny. It's a source of strength he cannot afford to discard. Lorgar for his part sees Abaddon as a tool to spread the Word of the Ruinous Powers to the very heart of the Imperium.
-Most Night Lords do not seem to worship the Chaos Gods in the same degree as the other traitor Legions. They fight only for material gain and personal pleasure. They look down on fanatical marines, be they worshipers of Dark Gods or the False Emperor. They place their respect not in faith but in strength, strength and terror.
-The Night Lords will fight for any cause as long as the plunder is good and they have ample opportunity to inflict as much bloodshed and anguish as they can. This made some Night Lords warbands pledge their service to alien warlords.
-After the birth of the Great Rift, the Red Corsairs have become experts in navigating the border regions between Warpstorms and Real Space. They established secret bases in the liminal zones. One of them is a significantly large base called the Tyrant's Gate in the Imperium Nihilus. Every sin and vice is indulged on that world. The world is orbited by weapon shops, docks, and defense platforms. Within the Warp, a sorcerous anchorage allows the battleships of Chaos to translate directly from and to the planet's orbit swiftly.
-Imperial reports that Huron Blackheart was spotted in two Segmentums at once seem to all but confirm that he struck some sort of bargain with the Chaos Gods.
-In exchange for his skill, Fabius had struck bargains with Chaos warlords, including the Daemon Primarch. He favours no client over the other, not even his gene-father.
-In recent years, Fabius has acquired samples from the Primaris marines and the Custodes. What he intends to do with them is unknown.
-The daemon Q'o'ak the Boundless is said to have drawn the ire of his master Tzeentch by meddling in his plans. To rid himself of Q'o'ak's ceaseless meddling, Tzeentch bound him to a weapon. Each time the weapon clashes with an enemy blade, the enemy falls victim to Q'o'ak temporal tampering. How Q'o'ak traverses time while imprisoned within the weapon remains unknown but with each soul he pulls from the web of fate a fresh plume manifests from the weapon's hilt.
Emeys Varran, the Apostle of Discordance, is unusually zealous in his devotion to Dark Gods for a trusted lieutenant of Abaddon. Despite his zealous faith in the Chaos Gods, Varran's true loyalty lies with Abaddon and the Black Legion. He is one of the Warhamer's few trusted confidants. Varran holds an intense and violent hatred toward the Sisters of Battle after losing his left eye to a neural wipe during the siege of the Chaos Knight World of Dharrovar. Abaddon dispatched Varran to aid Haarkin in seizing control of the Nachmund Gauntlet.
The Vashtorr and Black Legion vs T'au short story:
The world that Vashtorr manifested upon had a half-destroyed ancient city. Within the city was a temple whose structure was etched with daemonic scripture. This was Vashtorr's target. The T'au presence on the world was an unexpected complication. The T'au were giving the traitor and heretic forces stiff resistance and barring their way to the temple. The T'au in their determination to cling to the world had littered the battlefield with the Black Legion dead. Yet Vashtorr knew that the mortals' resistance was futile. Wyrmwood was entering into alignment over the world and it would seal their doom.
As Wyrmwood completed its alignment, the planet's surface quaked and monolithic structures erupted from the earth. This disordered the T'au lines and forced them into a fighting retreat. The Black Legion and Vashtorr's tech cultists pressed the attack.
Vashtorr could sense the call of the Warp-tainted relic, how it begged for release. He made his way to the temple but found T'au stubbornly standing between him and it. The Black Legionaries, daemonic engines empowered by Vashtorrr and his servants, and a horde of cultists fell on the T'au. Vashtorr himself joined the fray. With a gesture, he turned the energy of a force field that protected a squad of fire warriors against them. The fire warriors screamed as their armor melted and their skin was seared. The Black Legion marines finished off the reeling survivors with their chainaxes and bolter stocks.
T'au reinforcements sent from their orbiting fleet joined the battle. Battlesuits, tanks, hovering barricades, and aircraft plunged from the skies. The firepower of the T'au scythed through cultists and marines alike.
Vashtorr waded into the T'au lines with his hammer, pulping and smashing the Xenos aside. With a gesture, he unmade a T'au skimmer from within causing it to crash into a trio of battlesuits and explode. Through the flames, he strode toward the temple's entrance only to find his way barred again.
A T'au suit descended down in front of Vashtorr. Its pilot uttered a warcry before shooting Vashtorr. The shots impacted Vashtorr causing him to stagger back slightly. Vashtorr examined his form where the shots were hitting him. His daemon flesh was being burned away revealing the cogs beneath and his form was flickering.
Vashtorr extended his wings and was carried toward his Xenos foe by unholy energies. As he fell upon the battlesuit he projected his voice into its communication system telling the pilot that he was being so proud of the ingenuity of his technology, he was so reliant on the mechanical.
Vashttorr smashed down the battlesuit with his hammer and hit it again and again until he cracked its armor. Then pinned it down with his hoof. From his form tentacles emerged and wormed their way into the suit. Vashtorr poured a fragment of his power into the battlesuit and willed it to be unmade. Even though the pilot's soul was weak and small, he could still feel their fear.
Vashtorr stepped away from the battlesuit's wreckage and strode again toward the temple. As ever mortal resistance was nothing more than obstacles to be overcome by a being of infinite patience such as he. He will find the Lock and then reality itself will tremble before him.

This past week, I took a date with a 5’6” momma’s boy who wasn’t very texty before meeting. I am actually looking for someone long term, but I can sense when some guys who act like SD want something very short term. I still check them out during a M&G and sometimes things go very well in that we stay connected over time and become friends.
This week, I was pretty sure the guy was going to be a bit of a flake, so I proceeded carefully and recommended a restaurant that had ample parking and was outside the city. It turned out to be a good call. Just before leaving my house, I realized a) we hadn’t discussed allowance at all and b) that he listed his salary as a 5 figure salary. I laughed it off, threw on some 4 inch heels and drove to the restaurant.
The LDE was strong with this one. Over the course of three hours:
1) He got completely trashed.
2) He claimed not to know what the norms of meeting someone off Seeking were.
3) He told me he thought I was going to come to his hotel after dinner even though we never fully discussed my going to his hotel with him.
4) When I told him about ppm, he complained that it was the same cost of the very expensive hotel (lol it was a Courtyard) and that he would “contribute to the cause” for less than half of the standard ppm.
5) It turns out he picked a hotel over 30 miles from my house and 20 miles from our dinner spot.
He got loud and belligerent and I was sure he was going to say something very embarrassing at the steakhouse. So I told him to give me the address and told him I would meet him at the hotel. I waited in my car for 10 minutes, made sure he had pulled away and I blocked and deleted him and went home.
What a waste. I should have followed my intuition, but I am really glad I didn’t have to get in the car with this drunk guy.

I (22f) am in the wedding party of my friends we will call Em(25f) and Roe(25m) who will be getting married in about 2 months. I have been really excited for the wedding since it'll be an opportunity for all the friends from college to get together for the first time in 2 years. Not to mention Em and Roe are my best friends, or at least I thought they were.
We have a discord for all the wedding stuff and they have a channel about food. They've been really good about being open about the food they intend to have at the reception including vegan/vegitarian/gluten free options for everyone and answering questions so I didn't think there would be any contention if I asked a question.
Anyway, about 4 days ago I posted a message into the discord asking "Hey, what flavor is the cake gonna be? I wanna mentally prepare myself lol." I think looking back my choice of extra words is what caused all this, but I meant it in the sense that I have a long documented dislike of chocolate flavored foods like cake or ice cream. So I added it in the event the cake was chocolate.
I recieved a private message back that the cake would be chocolate and that if I had a problem with it then I could "shove it" cause it was their wedding not mine. And i felt really taken aback by this response.
Never did I mention that I would have been upset and I certainly wouldn't have put up a stink about it. Its exactly like Em had said, it's their wedding. I explained as much and tried to apologize for any offending I did but she got even more defensive and started basically blasting me for implying that she was offended and I was just left overall very confused.
I gave it two days before I tried to apologize again and smooth it over figuring she may have just been having a bad day but I got shut down again telling me she didn't need my apology cause nothing was wrong and I needed time stop trying to make it seem like shit was wrong between us and to just drop it.
I texted Roe to see if I could gauge what was going on since he and I have always had an open dialogue about things like this but he basically just told me he couldn't talk to me right now and I have to imagine its cause Em told him not to.
Its been 2 days since then and I'm just really confused. This whole thing has made me want to drop out of the wedding party and honestly not go at all. I wish Roe would talk to me and Em would be honest. I can't help but think maybe I just don't get how stressful planning a wedding is and like maybe theyve gotten pushback from other people on other things and somehow its being taken out on me? Or is it really a big no no to ask stuff like this? I don't know? This is the first wedding i'll have ever gone to, so am I the asshole?

I’m “Roe”, the groom to be. I don’t do Reddit, but my best man does and frequents this thread. He saw this post and it was so obvious it’s you. This whole cake thing did happen but it is NOT the whole story and did NOT go the way Izzy claims.
First off, cake was not her only complaint. You refused to have a joint bachelobachelorette dinner cause “I have poor taste”, you said my suit was tacky cause I wanted white and not traditional black, you whined about the bridesmaids dresses being purple cause you wanted Ivory. I've been a fast and furious fan ever since 2013 when i first saw "Fast Five" on my fathers old laptop. It was perfect. Everything a child with a hot wheels obsession could ask for. Of course I was too young to understand the plot of the movie back then but the action was absolutely amazing. After rewatching the series I have come to the conclusion that the franchise has lost a lot of what it stands for. It went from being about street racing to Heisting (no complains there) then to being a detective style expendables wannabe and finally to literal science fiction. Another problem that the franchise faces is its obsession with bringing people back from the dead. Considering how invincible the characters already are it just seems overkill (Almost all of them having had survived accidents that would otherwise be fatal). Bringing back Letty was one thing but then bringing back every character that died after her was just plane stupid. I mean Look at how many people came back to life- Shaw, Han, Gisele and Letty. That compared with two characters that were supposedly a part of the story from a long time ago is just obnoxious. The whole story of Jakob Toretto was simply uninspired and forced. Furthermore, the lack of originality with Dante Reyes(Jason Momoa) put the final nail in the coffin for my anticipation of the next movie. Dante Reyes was not only unoriginal but also trying to follow this "Wannabe Joker From Dark knight" archetype. And what was worse still was the casting choice of Jason Momoa. This is not to insult his acting skills at all, its just that this character (A poorly written one) just doesn't match him very well. Coming back to my rant about the story itself. The amount of science fiction elements in the movies has increased stupendously and it is hurting the franchise. Like, Tej and Roman literally got to space, that too in a bloody car. I understand that the movie is supposed to be exciting and absurd but at this point it just seems disappointing and the plot seems braindead. Unfortunately as much as I love this franchise, I am definitely not excited for fast X part 2.

I think it's important for people with RJ to be able to separate real issues in a relationship from the actual RJ symptoms. In doing so, they can better understand things they need to work on with their partner versus things they need to work on within themselves. I'll provide some examples, but I'm sure there are more out there.
Affair partners. If you meet someone who is in a committed relationship, and then you are upset because they chose their partner over you, this is not an RJ issue. If this person eventually chooses you, you will obviously always question their level of commitment to you because they've demonstrated a lack of commitment to their previous partner. The answer here is equally obvious. Don't fuck around with other people's relationships.
Not over their ex. If you start dating someone who recently got out of a long term relationship, and they can't stop talking about their ex, that's not an RJ issue. That's a them issue. You have two choices here. You can attempt to help them get over their ex by being the most amazing partner ever, or you can leave.
Still in communication with their ex. There are two very divided camps when it comes to this. There are people who think it's a good thing that people can maintain healthy relationships with their exes. Then there are people who believe that exes who stay friends are more likely to hook up again in the future. If you don't think exes should be friends, hold firm in that. Don't gaslight yourself into believing that you have to be ok with it. Just find someone else.
Sexual incompatibility. If the person with RJ is high libido HL and their partner is low libido LL, there will be a number of RJ symptoms. There's the feeling that the LL settled for the HL because they offered stability, security, etc. There's the endless comparisons to previous partners. Bottom line is the RJ symptoms are not the real problem and are simply a distraction. If people are sexually incompatible, they have to focus on solving that issue, and focusing on the past only distracts from the real solutions.
FOMO. If you married and had kids with someone who used to have threeways, do all sorts of drugs, etc, and now you're feeling like you missed out on that stuff, you've got to evaluate your life choices. Are you seriously considering bringing other sexual partners into your house while you've got kids in there? Or experimenting with various drugs? Be a little bit realistic here. If you decide you want to turn a hoe into a housewife (I'm using these terms only to highlight the obvious here), then it's insane to regret that they are not still acting like a hoe. Wait until the kids are grown and then get as freaky as you'd like.
Bottom line is you have to understand the actual issues before you can come up with workable solutions.

(Meneldur) loved dearly the land of Númenor and all things in it, but he gave no heed to the Sea that lay all about it; for his mind looked further than Middle-earth: he was enamoured of the stars and the heavens.

From what little we can glean of Meneldur’s early life, the pursuit of his passions were cut too early for his liking:

When Meneldur received the Sceptre he removed, as he must, from the Forostar, and dwelt in the great house of the Kings in Armenelos. He proved a good and wise king, though he never ceased to yearn for days in which he might enrich his knowledge of the heavens.

Meneldur may have been constraining Aldarion’s passions the same way his own had been. In doing this, he tried to impart on Aldarion that a King’s duty was first to the public.
We can gather from the texts that Meneldur started to constrain his son’s voyages sometime within the period of 750 when Aldarion created the Guild of Venterurs and 800 when Aldarion was named Heir to the Sceptre. Aldarion was still quite young during this time especially by the standard of the Line of Elros, and Aldarion was within his right to pursue his passions.

Tar-Meneldur looked coldly on the enterprises of his son, and cared not to hear the tale of his journeys, believing that he sowed the seeds of restlessness and the desire of other lands to hold.
Tar-Meneldur ever opposed his son, and he set a curb on the felling of trees in Númenor for the building of vessels; and it came therefore into Aldarion’s mind that he would find timber in Middle-earth, and seek there for a haven for the repair of his ships.

As Meneldur began increasing preassures on Aldarion to constrain his voyages, this conflict would likely the the foundation of Aldarion’s land weariness, further driving him into the arms of Lady Uinen. By 816, he would be described as associating ‘life on land’ negatively:

Life on land was irksome to him, for aboard his ship he was subject to no other will, and the Venturers who accompanied him knew only love and admiration for the Great Captain.

Erendis gives Aldarion the Bough of Return

Before Aldarion would depart again in 816, Meneldur would act even more severely with his son’s Sea-longing and would deny Aldarion’s voyage the ‘Bough of Return’:

When a ship departed from Númenor over the Great Sea to Middle-earth a woman, most often of the captain’s kin, should set upon the vessel’s prow the Green Bough of Return; and that was cut from the tree oiolairë, that signifies ‘Ever-summer’, which the Eldar gave to the Númenóreans, saying that they set it upon their own ships in token of friendship with Ossë and Uinen.

This would likely be a hurtful act and a condemnation of Aldarion's passions by his father, but Erendis would enter Aldarion’s life at this critical moment:

Erendis came to Aldarion in Rómenna while he was preparing for departure, bearing the Bough of Return for Aldarion’s journey:
Erendis came there, little though she loved the noise and bustle of the great harbour and the crying of the gulls.
Aldarion greeted her with amazement and joy; and she said: ‘I have brought you the Bough of Return, lord: from the Queen.’
‘From the Queen?’ said Aldarion, in a changed manner.
‘Yes, lord,’ said she; ‘but I asked for her leave to do so. Others beside your own kin will rejoice at your return, as soon as may be.’
At that time Aldarion first looked on Erendis with love; and he stood long in the stern looking back as the Palarran passed out to sea.

Erendis would affirm Aldarion’s love of the Sea and Lady Uinen when his father was cold. When Aldarion came back from his voyage in 820, he uncharacteristically came back sooner than he intended, and with a generous gift for Erendis. And soon he would spend his longest known stay on Númenor for Erendis.
Bringing Aldarion the Bough of Return would have further significance to Aldarion in the context of Númenor at this time. When Aldarion was born in 700, the people of Númenor were a fairly reclusive society whose main point of contact with the outside world were Aman. Aldarion was a pioneer and had ventured where no other Númenórean had in Middle-earth, which was widely regarded as the land of the “Men of Darkness”.
Beside Aldarion’s own companions, most in Númenor likely sympathized with Meneldur, making Aldarion feel estranged from his own country.

Lady Uinen and Lord Oromë

In a sense, Aldarion and Erendis’ true partners were the Lady Uinen of the Sea and the Lord Oromë of the Forests, for Aldarion’s love of the Sea and Erendis’ love of trees. This becomes clear to them during Aldarion’s longest stay land after he arrives back in Númenor in 843 and seeks out Erendis:

‘I will not share my husband with the Lady Uinen,’ said Erendis.
‘That is a twisted saying,’ said Aldarion. ‘As well might I say that I would not share my wife with the Lord Oromë of Forests, because she loves trees that grow wild.’

A twisted saying indeed for Aldarion, for he also loved trees. His own name is likely to mean “Son of Trees” in Quenya, with the compound of aldar ("trees") and the suffix -ion ("-son"). Lord Oromë, who loves all trees, is known also as Aldaron. Aldarion cuts many trees for his vessels but is also shown to be a good steward of the forests, and it is not suggested that as a mariner he cut more than he planted.
Aldarion’s happiest days were planting trees with Erendis. As she brought him the Bough of Return, he in turn affirmed her love of Lord Oromë:

But Aldarion wooed Erendis in earnest, and wherever she went he would go; he neglected the havens and the shipyards and all the concerns of the Guild of Venturers, felling no trees but setting himself to their planting only, and he found more contentment in those days than in any others of his life, though he did not know it until he looked back long after when old age was upon him.

Aldarion and Erendis could certainly bond over a shared love of trees, though Erendis values them in a different way than Aldarion. Aldarion values them more for their use, while Erendis for their aesthetic value.
While Aldarion came to live with and embrace Erendis’ love of Lord Oromë, himself a lover of trees, Erendis realized during this time that she could never embrace the Lady Uinen:

(Erendis) determined that she must utterly defeat the Sea and the ships, or else be herself defeated utterly.

Erendis conceals her dislike of the Sea

But before their marriage in 871, Erendis makes efforts to conceal this motivation to defeat the Sea in front of Aldarion. From their very first encounter, Erendis conceals her dislike of the atmosphere of the harbor of Rómenna to deliver him the Bough of Return.
Then in 850, for the centennial of the founation of the Guild of Venturers, Erendis goes on a small voyage with Aldarion to Andunië:

At length he sought to persuade Erendis to sail with him on a voyage about the Island in the ship Eämbar; for one hundred years had now passed since Aldarion founded the Guild of Venturers, and feasts were to be held in all the havens of Númenor. To this Erendis consented, concealing her distaste and fear; and they departed from Rómenna and came to Andúnië in the west of the Isle.

This voyage may have given hope to Aldarion that Erendis could be made to love the Sea eventually. Erendis also displayed an ability to compromise with Lady Uinen. Before Aldarion’s voyage in 863 after their betrothal, she refuses to come with him, but Erendis’ language is still sorrowful and ultimately conciliatory:

‘And, alas! if for love of you I took ship, I should not return. It is beyond my strength to endure; and out of sight of land I should die. The Sea hates me; and now it is revenged that I kept you from it and yet fled from you. Go, my lord! But have pity, and take not so many years as I lost before.’

Even so, Erendis’ dislike of the Sea comes off particularly strong at times, even for a woman of Númenor. In Andunië, after Erendis’ first voyage with Aldarion:

There Valandil, Lord of Andúnië and close kin of Aldarion, held a great feast; and at that feast he drank to Erendis, naming her Uinéniel, Daughter of Uinen, the new Lady of the Sea.
But Erendis, who sat beside the wife of Valandil, said aloud: ‘Call me by no such name! I am no daughter of Uinen: rather is she my foe.’

We get no reaction from Aldarion here, though we are unsure if he even heard this. Other signs of Erendis’ feelings would be harder to deny by Aldarion as they were made in direct conversation with him. One explanation for Aldarion to dismiss these signs would be that it was a common sentiment for a woman of Númenor to be wary of the Sea. Númenorean women seemed to defy conventions in many ways, being nearer to men in stature and strength, and skilled on horseback.

They did not, however, greatly love the Sea. They would journey in need in the coastwise craft from port to port; but they did not like to be long aboard or to pass even one night in a ship.

Much like Erendis hoped to teach Aldarion the ways of Lord Oromë, Aldarion might have thought there was hope to teach Erendis the ways of Lady Uinen.

The 877 voyage after Ancalimë’s birth

So after the 6-year voyage from 863-869, we arrive at the marriage of Aldarion and Erendis in 871 and the birth of Ancalimë in 873. Aldarion is certainly at fault for the interruption of their ‘Days of the Children’ (see In ‘Defense’ of Erendis).
So what drove Aldarion to the Sea so soon after their wedding and the birth of Ancalimë in 873? We know Aldarion was capable of spending at least 15 uninterrupted years on land in Númenor, and was happy spending them with Erendis. What could have driven him back on a voyage so soon, even if it was intended to be breif, after the birth of his daughter in defiance of the convention of the Eldar?
The more obvious explanation has to do with the nature of his travels. Gil-galad’s letter to Meneldur is Aldarion’s best defense:

Long I have owed you thanks, for you have so many times sent to me your son Anardil Aldarion: the greatest Elf-friend that now is among Men, as I deem. At this time I ask your pardon, if I have detained him overlong in my service; for I had great need of the knowledge of Men and their tongues which he alone possesses.

Here is a breif account from Aldarion upon return of his travels in 882: But here is a breif account from Aldarion upon return of his travels in 882:

‘But the world is changing again. Outside nigh on a thousand years have passed since the Lords of the West sent their power against Angband; and those days are forgotten, or wrapped in dim legend among Men of Middle-earth. They are troubled again, and fear haunts them. I desire greatly to consult with you, to give account of my deeds, and my thought concerning what should be done.’

Aldarion has a long-standing relationship with Gil-galad and the peoples of Eriador by this point, and we know from the timeline that Sauron would begin to stir in Middle-earth starting around SA 500, well before Aldarion’s set foot on Middle-earth. There were likely conflicts and even wars being fought in Eriador. Aldarion was far from the conflicts increasing in severity of the people he had no doubt come to care for, and the ever-present threat of the Shadow consuming them, would no doubt cause worry for Aldarion. The peace-time demands of Númenor would pale by comparison.

Erendis causing Aldarion’s Sea-longing

Another possible interpretation is that Erendis’ own fear about Aldarion’s love for the Sea would began to reveal to Aldarion her own true feelings about the Sea and his work.
Sometime after Ancalimë’s birth, two things happened. Erendis began to fear the power of the Sea on Aldarion’s heart and Aldarion began to dabble again in ship building. But which came first: Aldarion returning to ship building, or Erendis’ own fear that Aldarion would soon leave again? In the course of the narrative, it would seem Erendis’ fear came first.

For in secret she still feared the Sea and its power upon his heart; and though she strove to hide it, and would talk with him of his old ventures and of his hopes and designs, she watched jealously if he went to his house-ship or was much with the Venturers.

Up until their marriage, there may have been few signs to Aldarion of the depth of Erendis’ dislike of the Sea, or he may have ignored them, instead focusing on their common passions. After their marriage, Erendis’ anxiety about Aldarion’s possible interruption of their ‘Days of the Children’ may have caused her to increasingly reveal a hatred and incompatability with Lady Uinen, in turn strenghtening Aldarion’s Sea-longing. His ship building in this sense could be seen as a retreat into comfort, eventually leading him to succumb into his Sea-longing.
Erendis’ dislike of Lady Uinen could also be seen as a betrayal in Aldarion’s mind of the shared harmony they had from their first encounter when she brought the Bough of Return to Aldarion in 816. Afterwards, they of both of Lady Uinen and Lord Oromë dwealt in harmony for many years from Aldarion’s perspective, with Aldarion happily planting seeds with Erendis, and Erendis taking voyages with Aldarion.
When Erendis revealed that she actually shared more with Meneldur in condemning his love for Lady Uinen, and that their hopes were not in fact compatable, Aldarion was soon driven back into her arms.

Does anybody else feel like the fights in this game just feel wildly unfair and frustrating to beat? It feels like more and more I need to search google for strats on every fight I encounter, and even then I have to save scum because of rng. I'm only on act 2, and I had to find guides for every single major fight so far. Am I missing something? I love this game, but I have to take month long breaks because I can't keep throwing hours and hours into every fight I encounter. If there is something that I'm just not understanding about combat, I would love to know what it is because I want to play this game nearly every day, but I can't because of how much of a time sink the fights are.

So I've been into these systems for three years now, but I've recently come to doubt my whole typology. I'm not going to say what I've been typed as before though, because I'd like to avoid bias. It'd be cool if you tried to type me in other systems as well, such as Enneagram, Socionics, Psychosophy/Attitudinal Psyche, Big 5, Temperaments, Jungian...

1. I'm a very closed off person who needs a lot of time to recharge since people wear me out, but I've been told I come across as a highly energetic, hardworking and overall as an inspiring and determined person. For instance, I always strive for the best, even if that means sacrificing my comfort (like going to one of the best universities in my country even if it's like over 100 km from home and I have to wake up at 5 AM everyday), and I'm always passionate about pursuing something to improve myself, because I'd hate to feel like I'm wasting time lazing around.
   
2. People see me as someone responsible to rely on, they have told me I'm a good listener and understand them well, I give honest advice while also taking into consideration their feelings and reactions (I don't want to come across as offensive and insensitive), and in general I like giving a good impression. I mean, I can't stand fake people, but I still feel it's important to portray yourself in a good light. I think you must treat others the same way you'd like to be treated, that is, with respect (but, of course, if they cross me, I'll act spiteful towards them, since that's what they deserve).
   
3. Despite trying to be reasonable at all times and doing my best not to come across as overly emotional, I'm very anxious and tend to catastrophize, so while it's not usual, when it happens, my outbursts are strong. Then, I feel like trash after it all happens, since I perceive it as me having made a fool of myself. My feelings tend to escalate quickly, and sometimes due to something that it's not THAT important, so it's helpful to have someone slow me down and help me see the big picture. I can also be too straightforward as well, to the point that I sometimes end up being reckless. For example, there has been multiple times where I suddenly felt the urge to insult someone because they did something that offended me; in those cases I fortunately had a friend to shut me up and distract me from it because they know I might not be able to wait until they're out of sight to complain about them.
   
4. While at a distance I might seem intimidating and stern, people close to me see me as innerly soft, sensitive and pretty much a romantic prone to sentimentality. I've always had a hard time with processing emotions, because since I was a kid I've been taught "emotions are for the weak", so I tried to repress them. It wasn't until I discovered my passion for poetry that I finally learned to come into contact with them and understand them without shame. Currently, I feel like I have an easier time expressing myself and I'm not as repelled of my own feelings like I was in the past... Many people have actually told me, to my surprise, that my face is amusingly expressive, like I'm transparent even if I try my best to hide myself from the world. That said, I communicate my feelings through poems, so while I'd like the other person to take the initiative in this regard, I'll try to reciprocate it my way.
   
5. However, I can also be quite passive and insecure when I feel oppressed and vulnerable in my environment (I feel like the whole world is against me in such circumstances), so I tend to walk on eggshells most of the time just in case. I'd say I'm mostly awkward, and I never know how to interact with my surroundings properly. If I've done it well, it's likely that I've just been lucky. This has led me to be isolated most of my life, and despite the fact that I currently have some connections with people, I feel like it's still not enough. I'm very private, secretive, and harbour trust issues; but I also crave intense connection with people I've taken a liking to (after a long time assessing if they're trustful enough for me to grow attached to them, since I place a lot of value on loyalty and suffer a lot when those close to me suddenly disappear from my life). I'm really compassionate with others, so some people have taken advantage of my kindness to then stab me in the back when I least expected it, which has made me become outwardly distant and unapproachable through the years (when the truth is that I'm just terrified of people). I've always had this impulse to help and protect those in need when they couldn't stand up for themselves, so it's curious how much compassion I could feel for others when I couldn't feel it for myself. Anyway, I still hold those around me to high standards, which I apply to myself as well.
   
6. On the other hand, I place a lot of value to my appearance too. Like poetry, my own style is a way to express who I am as a person, and I can't understand nor find myself attracted to people who don't care at all regarding this part of themselves... It's as if they're neglecting one of the most important ways to make themselves appealing to both themselves and others. For me, it's also a way to feel better about myself, since the attractiveness and health of the body is just as important as that of the mind.
   
7. Now, I suck at everything related to numbers or economics. They're so boring and uninteresting to me that my brain shuts down when something related to it comes up (I already suffer enough in law school whenever I'm forced to do subjects involving financial law or the like). I've always been more drawn to humanitarian subjects like languages, literature...
   
8. I'm highly impatient (I get easily frustrated when something doesn't go my way like "it's supposed to", and I can grow envious and resentful towards someone that did it better than me), irritable (I'm peaceful until something or someone crosses me), and pessimistic (if something remotely bad happens, then that means it's all doomed to fail). I can be intolerant as well, easily despising someone others might be indifferent to, and I've been told to be impulsive too when I fail to guard myself from what makes me react aggressively either to others or myself. In addition, I cannot deal with people that are too aloof to descifer, like it's obvious they're keeping something from me, but they will lie and tell me "it's okay" while it's obvious that it's not, and their facial expressions are so dull that I won't even be able to extract the minimum out of them. In such circumstances I might flare up to try to get them out of their shell in order to know whatever they're hiding away from me; but that typically ends up driving them away from me further (which pisses me off to no end). I like straightforward people who are not cowards and will make things clear from the beginning, even if it hurts.
   
9. Regarding my mannerisms, they're mostly stiff, instead of smooth or soft. As I said, I come across as energetic even if I slept 4 hours that day, I walk and talk VERY quickly (people who speak and move slowly get on my nerves), and I can be very expressive and loud if I'm feeling comfortable enough with the person I'm with (I can even look extroverted next to my quieter friends). I also don't have any shame at all when it comes to myself; I can talk about anything weird or rant about my nerdy interests and creepy fixations to the point of becoming obnoxious without giving a damn about the reaction of the other person. I may even enjoy making the other person embarrassed and teasing them, since it's hilarious. Fortunately, I'm good at eliciting interest in others, so oftentimes I can drag them into the abyss of my obsessions and teach them all about it.
   
10. Aside from poetry, my other interests are varied. For instance, I also love reading old books, writing stories, creating original characters and researching whichever area of interest I'm into at the moment. I like to maintain an active lifestyle too. In the future, I strive to become financially successful (that's why I'm in a career that is going to bring me a lot of opportunities), independent, and travel and learn as much as I can to improve both myself and my talents. I'm overall a very individualistic person, but I'd like to meet more people who align with my values as well; without at least someone by my side with whom I can share myself I become depressed.

So there is this girl i had a crush on ,i followed her on instagram last summer,we were in same college,i tried with her for few days,i failed on talking stage,then she unfollowed me.months later,i did meet in the library of college,we made a lil eyes contact,she was with her friends,same with me,then she would look and smile with me,but i didn't do nothing i was and i'm still shy,we continued on same routine for everyday,we meet on college she will be with her four friends(dangerous squad fr) same for me,we make eye contact for long time and she will be smiling with me(she would also play with hair in front of me ).i also discovered that she is taking the same way as me if go to coffee shop with my friends(we both walking for 5 minutes not with cars).Two months later,i was alone in library revising for the exams,when i saw it was late i decided to go,AND GUESS WHO I FOUND ON MY WAY TO THE COFFEE SHOP,and she was also alone.what a "GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY" to talk to her.on the way,i was little bit confused and nervous,i was like"should i call her or no",she was in front of me, i swear she would turn her head every 10 seconds,she would look at me and then smile to me,it was a signals rights?,but guess what i did,that's right i missed the chance.i walked faster and didn't care about her,i arrived to the coffee shop and i was so regretful about what happened.the next day, we met in the college as usual, i was surprised,not of her beauty(that she surprised me everyday) but that she still treat me the same way,eye contact ;smiling; playing with hair.but again and again,i acted cold,i didn't talk to her.then,after a month with no seeing her(because of a vacation), she changed,acting like i wasn't there(even i've never talked to her 😂),no more eyes contact,no more smiling,and she's not coming everyday to college like usual despite that her close friends are there every day.now that what I'm asking for help,i want to talk to her,but i am afraid or i know that she will not treat the situation as she would have treated if i talked to her before.I'm so upset about missing that golden opportunity.i still have two week before summer vacation.i know that i will find her in library.
