 | Hi everyone, I recently purchased a p&s from eBay (Canon sure shot 60 zoom). I used a Kodak gold 200 film and at frame 15 (mid-way point) the camera started to rewind and all the film went into the canister. I went to a developing shop and the guy at the desk helped me get the film out but he did mention that I could save the first 15 frames by going into a dark room and shooting past frame 15 (I did this and most of my pics still got double exposed 😭). submitted by Traditional_Ground33 to AnalogCommunity [link] [comments] I guess my question is for you folk who use a similar p&s - Is this an issue any else has come across? I’ve seen some Reddit posts talk about the motor wearing out over the years and causing resistance mid-roll to trick the camera into thinking the roll has completed. I am going on holiday soon so this issue is pretty annoying considering the mid-roll could happen each time. One other thing I noticed - I looked for the manual of the camera online and on page 76 under specifications it mentions that mid-roll rewind is possible, so could this be a fault with all of the canon sure shots? (see image attached above) And is it maybe possible to get the automatic rewind feature overridden so it’s only done manually? There is a rewind feature so not sure if any camera techs could give their insights if this is possible. Thanks :) |

I decided to be an entrepreneur in 2009 when I dropped out of college to get into sales and somehow it lead me to the insurance business.
The funny thing is over the years I always told myself I would never sell insurance because who wants to sell a piece of paper to people. Now, I am realizing how much more it is than just a piece of paper. Once I got into the industry I realized how much I needed to learn and am still learning. We are in such a vast business with so many different parts of the business. I got into health insurance just as we are seeing the restriction to short term medical policies going to (STM) 4 months. There are always parts of the business changing like this. I am wondering how other agents have found success and how they have adapted, shifted, and changed over the years to run a profitable business all while maintaining a work/life balance….
My questions here are for other agency owners and independent agents alike, what else should I be selling? Should I just focus on one thing in the beginning?
Who else should I be trying to connect with? Where are the segments in the market place I should be looking for right now?
When I do not have any marketing budget what should I do?
I am just ust trying to gather some general information here to get an overall perspective on what to expect.
When things get slow how do you stop from panicking? How do you get everything to work together all at once and like a smooth running engine? What are common pitfalls?
I have noticed that a lot of books take time to reap the rewards in this business, so what else can we sell in the short term to make good money up front to keep everything going besides life?
Where can I get direct contracts for Auto, Home, and Life etc. Where are some good places to buy leads?
Everyone wants volume but is there a way around that if your just running the business correctly overtime?
I am a really looking for any advice I can get as a new agency owner.

About 3 months ago I was hit by an F-350 while waiting to turn on my bike. He was drunk and going about 40 mph. I don’t remember anything between leaving work and waking up on the street looking up at the EMTs. The impact tore off half my right ear and exposed my skull. It also broke 3 vertebrae and a few ribs. I can’t wear short hair now without patches of missing hair everywhere, my ears fucked up, and I’ll likely have permanent back issues. The guy was driving a company truck so we thought we might be set as far as settlement money. But the most my lawyers seem to be able to get right now is $125k, 100 through the company insurance and another 25 through geico or something. I don’t have auto insurance so there’s no route there. Between the lawyers’ cut of 30%, and the health insurance company recouping hopefully no more than 20% of the bills, that leaves me with about 65k. And I found out today that the hospital sent a lien to my lawyers for a bill of 80k. My lawyers are going to try to get them to bill my health insurance but if that doesn’t happen then I’d be left with like 30k. I feel like the damage is worth more than this. I dunno what to do.

My adult daughter and I have a policy in state A with my car and hers. I am moving to state B, but will still have a verifiable residence in both states. I will be taking my car with me to state B. I need to get insurance on my car in state B for my job. My daughter was going to get her own car insurance, but they quoted way more for just her than for both of us together (50% more). Is there anything keeping me from me keeping the state A policy with both of our names and her car with company A and getting a new policy in state B on my car with company B? If her car is registered in state A with a state A insurance, and my car is registered in state B with state B insurance, I see no issues as there would be no overlap of coverage. But maybe I’m missing something?

Any thoughts? I was really excited to place the order this weekend but this has a put a damper on things. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Whats the best way to go about getting out of a car loan with a dealership that wasn't honest about bill of sale fees, "included warranty" and committed auto insurance fraud when setting up the auto insurance for me?
I'm in Ontario, Canada. Most of the dishonesty was in person so no proof (although the room had cameras?) but I do have text messages of the sales person telling us she put an address for our auto insurance somewhere else, over an hour away from our house, to get a low rate. When I asked for help with the auto insurance, I wasn't asking for it to be fraudulent like this. I asked because the sales person said they can get us a good deal since they work with the banks.
There is a down payment due upon pick-up of the car so that has not been paid yet. I traded in my other car (which they will take once I pick up this new car) and they have already paid off the remaining balance for my trade-in to the bank.
I called the auto insurance company today to change my address to the correct one but later did more research and should have reported to them for fraud, am I still able to do this even after changing the address to the correct one? I have text message proof from the sales person exposing herself to this fraudulent activity but I'm unsure the best way to proceed.

i've only ever seen this stunt pulled on TV and in movies. is this doable? has it been done by anyone who would care to share their experience? bonus question: if any US redditors know a city/location in the northeast where this might actually work, lmk.

about 1 year ago İ got into a collision it was completely my fault İ lost control and hit a pole going 60. I filed a claim immediately after and was paid out for the car. as you can imagine hitting a pole going that fast did hurt me but I didn’t file a claim about that because I assumed my insurance wouldn’t cover medical (İ know rookie mistake) because of the fact it was my fault. İ recently visited the doctor for something else and told him about it and how it was unfortunate I couldn’t get it covered because to this day my shoulder still hurts. He informed me I could have.
I googled this question and it said that there is a limit of 2 years to file a claim. My question is, how likely is it that this claim will be approved so I can get my shoulder looked at. The pain started directly after the accident and I fear if i dont get it checked out it may be a lifelong pain.

I’m considering the option to start a Mobile Auto repair business. I’m doing some research before I jump in. I’m an ASE Master Technician, Volkswagen Master Technician and have NATEF Certification. I have a very extensive resume with many other certifications and awards. I can basically repair anything with wheels. I’m also an ARMY veteran. I’d like to take my knowledge on the road, to help and educate people on their vehicles and not “nickel and dime” them like the dealerships would. With the automotive repair labor rate skyrocketing, auto technicians are not getting their share, and they are leaving the industry. People are not buying cars like they used to, due to the increase in high interest rates. I feel this would be a great opportunity for me to venture out and share my knowledge and help people save tons of money in auto repairs. Of course everything would be licensed and insured for everyone’s protection. I feel everyone should be in communication with their auto repair technician and not relying on a service adviser behind a desk.
