The worksheets contain a variable amount of data, but typically have between 1-6 columns, where A is the Code, B is the Modifier, C is the Description, D is the Abbreviated Description, and E are any applicable Notes. Because this data is updated very frequently, I want to use Apps Script to automate several processes to streamline maintenance of this workbook:
When a code is entered in a cell in column A, execute the following steps:

1. Evaluate column A for duplicate entries; if the code already exists, reject the newly entered (duplicate) code
2. Sort the worksheet by column A in alphabetical order
3. Capitalize any alphabetical characters in the code string; for example, if I enter 3074f, change it to 3074F

In the past, it seemed to work to some degree, but now nothing is happening as expected.
Gemini was able to get the automation to work without requiring the use of a trigger (somehow), but in its troubleshooting suggestions, it said I need to create one. I have done so, and it still will not work--I keep getting an error when I debug the function.

While driving I will suddenly lose power, and if it happens while I’m stopped at a light, the engine shuts off completely. My truck started throwing Code P0340 — indicating a problem with the crankshaft position sensor on the passenger side. I just replaced that, and now the truck just does the same thing without throwing a code. No check engine light, no indicators of any error of any kind, except for the fact that the engine stops turning without warning.
It starts back up with relative ease but cuts out again sporadically. For the first 10 minutes of driving in my day, everything is fine, then suddenly this starts happening.
If the crankshaft position sensor isn’t truly the problem, what else could be giving me code P0340 and stalling my engine?

For some context, there's a video going around Reddit and elsewhere of a woman flashing the New York/Dublin portal art exhibit. Hi everyone,
I have this laptop that will utilize AC power with no trouble, until Linux reaches a certain point (I assume drivers get loaded). Then it will only rely on the battery, and the battery is currently drained so it can't stay on. I did not even notice there was any problem until the battery drained. Evidently, entire OS installation worked on battery.
I have tried Debian 12, and MX Linux booted from a flash drive. Debian installed but once I was trying to use it, the battery was down to 2% and it keeps going into sleep. Basically, it can stay on with no problem with just the BIOS loaded, or even during pre-OS like during the install. But once OS loads, it stops utilizing AC.
Very strange as I've never seen this before in all my years. The unit is a sort of generic system, not a major brand. It's technically I guess Jetta/Source Code. The model is SP3100 in case that's going to matter at all.
But what would cause this behavior? I will try loading Hiren's USB and see if it can stay on. Maybe I can narrow down if it's a Linux driver issue, but that would be a first for me.
Hopefully someone has any suggestion. Otherwise I guess the hardware is getting sold for scrap.

Has anyone experienced NYS making an error on their taxes???
I know most things about taxes and send all costs, earnings etc to my tax lady yearly.
This year we received just under a 10k tax credit for our business which was put correctly on our taxes.
Upon checking my refund status, one day it changes to say nothing is owed and we are receiving a bill. 1 week later received the bill via the NYS gov site - Turns out the dipstick in NYS who processed our taxes, took this refundable credit and processed it as a tax owed to the state put it on line 45 on at DTF-960-E proposed audit change saying "net other New York State Taxes" and amount of our refundable credit next to it . No clue how they messed this up.
So instead of getting money back from this credit, because of their mistake it says we now owe thousands of dollars (which is impossible between estimated tax payments, write-offs, etc - I am very good with keeping track of and reporting all of our spendings/earnings). If we were ever to owe anything, it would not be thousands and thousands.
We responded via the NYS gov site that it’s a refundable credit, along with our taxes to show we had it entered correctly to begin with, our certificate (that we received for the refundable credit) and docu sign proof about the credit we received.
My question is how long until they respond about a disagreement about a tax bill due to their mistake*?*
I can only find info on amended returns and we aren’t amending it, since it was right to begin with.
In all my years I’ve never experienced anything like this. We’ve been waiting forever already, because we were required to mail in our taxes due to this specific credit we received this year.
So now this is just making everything longer and would love that extra cushion for holiday inventory.Anyone ever experience the state making a huge mistake like this?

so just got disconected because the anti-cheat failed to authenticate. lost everything and any progress i just made is now gone. was walking from ybl-1 to sawmill. got just alittle ways past half way there, took out a guy in a gas station when i was making my way up a hill and got the error code. the game's servers are shit. probably the cheapest they could afford and its costing players. when it finally costs players too much, it'll cost the dev's real money when no one plays anymore. i've got internet speeds more than capable, ive got a pc thats more than capable. so far dirty coding and cheap servers are the main problem.

Hey guys, I'm currently trying to run an openCV Python script on a Khadas VIM3 single-board computer. I made the script on my windows laptop originally and it all worked fine. However, my Khadas board runs on Ubuntu 22.04 Linux and I get this weird error when I try and run my code:

Originally, I was running my board on Wayland, so I thought that might have been the issue. So I changed it to X11, but it still gave me the same error.
Next, I tried installing OpenCV by following the Khadas guide: https://docs.khadas.com/products/sbc/vim3/npu/opencv-dnn
This still creates the same error message.
I've checked a bunch of stack overflow pages but I could not find any solution to my issue.
Does anyone know what could be an issue?

I’ve got a 7 year old whirlpool cabrio washer with steam function, etc. that just stopped working. I’m getting F6E3 error code. I’ve unplugged it and reset it several times, but every time I try to run it, I get the same code again. This is the first real issue I’ve had with it. I’m not sure if it’s better to go ahead and buy a new machine ($900 on sale) or spend potentially $400 if the control board needs to be replaced.

Hello all
In my program, I am parsing/decoding XML files and storing values in structs, using the Decoder.Decode() function. The files contain several malformed UTC dates, intended to be parsed as time.Time values and stored in the database.
The two types of dates in the XML content are -

1. Correctly formatted - "2015-03-12T20:05:18+05:30"
2. Incorrect formatting - "2020-06-29T11:11:04"

The incorrect dates are missing the timezone offset (that is present in the correctly formatted dates) or the "Z" at the end, indicating 00:00.
During parsing, the decoder fails to parse the malformed dates and throws an error, complaining about the missing offset.
Before storing the parsed Time values in the database, I am using .format() on them to format it in the layout of 2006-01-02 15:04:05 +0000 (basically storing without the offset). This .format() function also fails, throwing a similar error -

error: parsing time "2020-06-29T11:11:04" as "2006-01-02T15:04:05Z07:00": cannot parse "" as "Z07:00" 

If I could somehow get an exact string representation of these malformed dates, I could append a "Z" at the end, and then parse it, which solves the issue. Here is that code on the playground - https://go.dev/play/p/IbwGgnNtw6P
However, using the in-built String() function does not work, as it either throws the same error or returns a string with an incorrect offset added twice, as described in this SO question - Golang time - time zone showing twice
