Barbie PTMI 2008
hello there,
i bought a barbie PTMI 2008 a week ago. shes so daaamn pretty!
at first, i bought her because i loved her dress. it was pure impulsive that i cant believe i spent almost $60 just for her dress, but then i realized how beautiful she is. and then i noticed collectors are hunting her because she looks like Barbie Sumatra. i guess i got lucky.
by the way, i got sad because her neck is broken and there’s a black stain around it. i noticed it because of the black ribbon necklace she wore. i think she was in the box for a very long time.
so, i tried to find a new body for her on Instagram and thought Barbie Sumatra from DOTW had the same skin tone. turns out Sumatra has lighter skin, and i already bought the Looks 11 body.
the difference between her original body and the Looks 11 body is small, in my opinion. my friend said now she looks like she wears too much makeup lol. so im looking for a better-matching body.
i watched YouTube and asked Barbie collectors on Instagram. some of them said that MTM Yoga Blue Top, Looks 1 Lina, and Yoga Green Top fits her perfectly.
i got lucky again after i saw a post on Reddit where someone used the MTM Yoga Green Top body for her.
i’ll post pictures of her with the new tan body soon!❤️‍🔥🫶🏻
unboxing in the car!
the moment i realized she is beautiful
TOO BEAUTIFUL
eeek i purchased the wrong body!!
well.......
hmm
okay loolll
is it too obvious? the difference?
too obvious indeed💀

2024.06.02 00:28 Crickets_62 Advice for jewelry cord size

Grand kids have talked me into making them some macrame jewelry- necklaces, bracelets, maybe earrings. I’m at a loss on where to even begin. What size cord would make something size appropriate for pre- teen kids? And any recs on a good book or video tutorial? Many thanks!

2024.06.01 01:38 Adventurous-Meat-994 candy necklaces sheet music

Would anyone wanna do a huge favor and send me piano sheet music for candy necklaces? The versions on youtube don’t give the sheet music, only the hand tutorials, and I find those too confusing to follow 🙁 the sheet music could be slightly altered from the original, I wouldn’t mind

2024.05.31 23:00 Future_Ad_3485 Cold Case Inc. Part Three: New friends and Too Much Time Travel!

Letting myself in, Aunt Lilicana spun around her silver chair. Chewing on my lips, her bright lilac eyes brightened at the sight of me standing next to Marcus. Smoothing out our outfits, her hands clasped together the moment she rose to her feet. Her lilac suit swayed with each step towards me, her lilac waves bouncing around her waist. Fussing with her bangs, her sharp eyes examined my new wedding band. Clasping her palms around my hands, her eager smile had me averting my gaze to the fine marble floor. Gushing about me being married, my eyes took in the lilac walls with fine snow white accents. Clapping her hands in front of my face, a quick huh escaped my lips.
“You need to wake up and rescue your first member of your own little coven.” She announced with a big grin, my brow twitching with disbelief at her words. “I think if you run your own coven, you have a real shot at becoming the grand witch.” Struggling to hold my tongue, my aunt couldn’t be serious. Pressing my lips a thin line, the old lady had brought it up again. Dropping her hands, a sad smile dimmed her features.
“I don’t want any of that. Stop saying that shit like you are going to die.” I protested heatedly, Marcus showing off his ring by placing his hand on my shoulder. “Fine. I will start with a coven and a coven alone. If that goes well, I will consider your offer to become the grand witch.” Burying me in a bear hug, she spun me around. Sliding her hands to my flat stomach, tears welled up in her eyes. Marcus took a step back with his next question, panic leading him to grin ear to ear.
“So the next thing I would like to ask is about children. How many do you want and when can I expect them?” She queried seriously, her hands squeezing my cheeks. “Maybe this old girl wants to be a great aunt some century.” Pursing my lips, the subject wouldn’t die without an answer. Lowering her hands instead of giving my usual sarcastic retort, Marcus glanced around like he had never been here before. Useless, thanks for being useless in this damn situation.
“Within the year if we are lucky.” I answered with a bright smile, her hands clapping as she spun around the big space. “Information please. Please tell me there is no time travel inv-” Sliding over a time card with the date into my eager palm, her grin grew wider. Reading the date, a discreet fuck rolled off of my tongue. Smacking the back of my head, she shouted language. The medieval times were the most dangerous times to travel, witches got burned like freaking candles. Shivering for a second, the trauma of being burned at the stake had me shrinking back.
“There will be an auction to sell her and I need you to swoop in and save her.” She explained while opening up her closets of disguise, her proud gaze flitting between the nervous Marcus and my fuming self. “So when I say coven, I mean a little branch of mine personally.” Great, no pressure or anything. When she chose to retire, my coven would become the elite ones and become the council members. Selecting a couple of black cloaks and golden parrot masks, she pressed them into our chest. Curious as to what her plan was, an eager grin curled across her lips. Oh, how I dreaded that eager grin!
“I’d hate to ask but what is very thought process?” I queried with a cock of my brow, my politeness slipping for a second. “Judging by the wear and tear, these were uniforms and not a ball gown." Cupping my cheek, her smile grew more genuine. Sinking into the warmth of her love, my life was owed to her. Even with her flaws, her maternal bond made it worth it!
“You are going to be dressed as slave handlers. Get in and free them for me.” She spoke in a motherly tone, Marcus watching in wonder as I snuggled into her palm. “You remind me of your lovely mother. Hell, you have her sharp tongue. What I wouldn’t do to banter with her again. Be a dear and stay safe.” Pulling me out of Marcus’ earshot, her bear hug had me cuddling into her chest. A tender blush rose to my cheeks, her fingers twirling my hair around.
“Pride glows in my heart for how far you have come.” She whispered with a soft chuckle, her fingers twisting my hair into a simple side bun. “The moment a little witch comes into being, I would be honored to be the sweetest grandmother. That means you have a free babysitter. Get going, my dear." Hugging her harder, part of me didn’t want to go. It was her that took me in after my father died, my love for her being as true as it could be. Releasing me, her dainty hand spun me around. Sauntering over to her desk, the chair squeaked the moment she crashed down. Walking out with a genuine smile, these visits left me with a fuzzy feeling. Draping my cloak over my shoulders, Marcus’ nimble hand tied the silky ribbon. Brushing his lips against my forehead, his loving gaze had my heart fluttering. Don't say it, I mumbled to myself. My eyes rolled at his next words, the damn things were sure to come.
“So you can be nice.” He teased with a playful grin, my lips curling into a sly grin. “Don’t be like that.” Poking my nose, scarlet painted my cheeks. Fiddling around with my mask, a flurry of feverish kisses causing my breath to hitch. Sliding on his mask with a crooked grin, a graceful flick of his wrist had his cloak obscuring his identity. Plucking my mask from my hand, his lips grazed the top of my head as he slid it over my bright red face. Quit being a Casanova, damn it!
“I happen to think it made you look adorable.” He commented with a wink, dropping my pendant into my slick palm. “I for one want to have a certain type of fun tonight, if you catch my drift.” Catching his drift, my fingers flicked the card into focus. Holding onto my waist, my slender fingers began to spin the pendant clockwise. Clearing my throat, another adventure was to be had.
“I call upon the sands of time to whisk me away to the year thirteen twenty on the day of January twelfth.” I chanted boldly, the pendant spinning faster. The blast of energy knocked us into the stables of a gray stone castle, the majestic draft horses whinnying in horror. Dropping my pendant over my head, my magic usage would have to be kept to a minimum. Another cloaked finger stomped to us, his sharp tone pissing me off. Letting him yell at us, his grubby hands dragged into a beat up building. Pointing towards the sea of cages, our task was to care for the merchandise. Hiding my hate, we nodded with tired smiles. Crunching back into the snow covered courtyard, magical creatures of all kinds roared in cages. Running through the hall of cages, my aunt gave the name Sabaku Neko. The last name spoke of a human and demon hybrid, an idea coming to mind. Tapping my pendant twice, three illusion pearls shimmered in my palm. Expanding my dagger, a swift cut had blood coating the pearls. Rolling them onto the wooden floor, the cages creaked open. A unicorn trotted past me, a bow of its head opening up a portal to a sacred forest. Neighing sternly, the creatures leapt into the portal. Watching each one with alert expressions, the cages slamming shut with copies of the creatures glitching into life. A clattering can had me spinning on my heel, a flash of bright red hair catching my eyes. Spinning my dagger in my palm, a pair of emerald green eyes shimmered in the shadows. A gruff voice called for Marcus, his hands holding my cheeks. Lifting up his mask, his trickster grin had me worried for the person on the other end. Don't be daft on me, Marcus.
“Steal her away into the woods and I will meet you in a couple of hours.” He ordered with his signature wink, our target knocking over a pile of armor. Bouncing up to him casually, his club poked out of his sleeve. Rounding the corner, a cute witch with bright red cat ears and a matching fluffy tail cowered behind a wooden column. Crouching down to her level, the poor thing was shivering from the cold. Untying my cloak, her quivering eyes traced me draping the cloak over her shoulder.
“I am Gearz, your coven leader if you wish me to be.” I introduced myself with a kind smile, her tag twitching slightly. “Please follow me to safety. Trust me! I don’t bite.” Offering her my hand, her fingers curled around mine. One yank had her stumbling back, her feeble body seeming too weak to move. Placing her on my back, her arms curled around my neck. Darting between the shelves, Marcus chatted pleasantly with our boss. Pretending to trip, his double wink telling to run with her. Sprinting into a blizzard, a harsh cold lashed at my bare skin. Crunching through the snow until I couldn’t anymore, an abandoned home caught my eyes. Kicking the door open, a muffled apology had me glancing back at the witch I had rescued. Setting her down by the fireplace, a few old pieces of wood hit my feet. Arranging the wood while watching her shiver, a snap of my fingers had violet flames roaring to life. Plopping down across from her, my dagger bounced off of my legs. One could never let their guard down in such a time.
“My name is Sabaku Neko.” She choked out awkwardly, her eyes refusing to meet mine. “The one skill I have is being able to speak to animals. I doubt you would have me with that information.” Tracing her fingers on the floor, her kind gaze averted to the floor. Reading that she was ashamed of such a rare gift, kind words were needed. The floor protested as I moved until our knees met, my hands curled around hers. Such sorrow should not follow anyone.
“I would love that gift. Animals make excellent spies and friends.” I chirped cheerfully, her wet eyes meeting my genuine smile. “Join me if you wish. Together we can solve all kinds of crimes. Pigeons and such see the things I can’t see.” Ripping her hands back, hesitation lingered in her eyes. Shaking her head, too much trauma had occurred to her. Switching tactics, there had to be a way to get to her. Asking for her hands, her head shook. Holding my hand behind my back, a rush of air had my loose hairs floating up. Feeling a violet lily in my palms, this might win her over. Lowering her hood, a bit of life sparked in her eyes at me tucking the flower in her hair. Curling her fingers around the edge of my mask, anxiety built in her eyes the moment her hands ripped it off. Smiling cautiously in my direction, her fingers traced the faint scars on my face.
“Call me Saby if you want to be my coven leader.” She spoke almost too soft for me to hear, her smile growing brighter the moment she cut her palm with my dagger. “I vow to serve you as a faithful member of your coven.” Remembering to cut my own palm, the wet sound of blood splattering had nausea flipping my stomach. Holding my hand with a quiet laugh, her ears flicked with excitement at an inky pocket watch tattoo appearing on her chest. Lowering our hands to our laps, something about our bond had me brimming with joy. The door blew open, Marcus huffing with blood pouring from a wound in his side. Collapsing next to me, my shaking fingers pulling my pendant over my head. People shouted in the distance, Saby climbing onto my back while I pulled him onto my lap. Spinning the pendant clockwise, no words could come to mind. Speaking too late, a blast of energy shot me into the front of my house in the nineties. Cursing under my breath, something seemed off. Heavy footfalls crunched behind us, a quick healing spell sealing his wounds shut. Helping Saby off of my back, her protection would be necessary.
“Watch my husband for me. He should wake up any second.” I requested politely, her head nodding as whistled. Shivering with joy at saying the word husband, the bliss was short lived at an ogre jumping over my head. Throwing the necklace into the air, a quick spin had it landing around my neck. Flipping the dagger in between my fingers, his fate was sealed. Flicking my wrist, the dagger whistled into his left eye. Muddy sludge rained onto me the moment it boomeranged back to me. Nice touch, I pondered curiously to myself. Whistling sharply, his good eye narrowed in my direction.
“Come get me, big boy!” I called out while sprinting towards the park, the ground shaking with every stomp from his oily forest green feet. Skidding down random streets, the plan wouldn’t work if I didn’t show up first. Leaping over a wooden fence, my boots touched the lush grass I used to escape to on the bad days. Running over to the dugout of the local softball field, a fresh pile of dirt had me smiling to myself. Kicking at the loose dirt, my old witchcraft kit greeted me. Pulling the tired girl out, a devilish grin curled on my lips at the sight of my black iron case. Remembering that I took down monsters in the area, the kit was rich with what I needed. The ogre was new in this timeline, the tool wouldn’t be missed. My smile fell at what tonight was, a single tear cascading from my eye. Plucking the jade ball from the bottom, this spell would prevent me from going home until the early morning. Debating on winning this fight or reliving one of the worst nights of my life, the answer was clear. Cutting my palm, ruby coated the ball. The ball glowed to life, a sea of unfiltered energy trapping the ogre in place. Rising to my feet, my time window was dwindling. Jumping over the dugout, time slowed with every step. Green energy took out the ogre, the aftermath smashing me into the tree. Sliding the bark with a grimace, a ribbon of blood poured from the corner of my lips. Damn, a couple of organs must have burst. Wincing the moment I struggled to my feet, her guard dog of a demon friend pounded towards me. Blocking his club with my dagger, a swift kick shot him into the sky. Leave me alone, damn it! Nobody wanted to see the two of them.
“So you can fight.” Glanda mused with a scoff of disbelief, my brow cocking at her approaching me in a lovely emerald dress. “I am afraid you have me beat in that department. Then again, I am not a heathen like you. Gareth, kill her already!” Tossing him an emerald stone, green energy whisked her away. The ground rumbled the moment he landed in front of me, his Cheshire Cat grin spread as he bowed.
“Shall we have a fun duel, my lady?” He suggested with an adventurous tone, his club bouncing in his palm. A warm breeze blew the seeds of a dandelion in the air, something seeming off about the situation. Tugging at his leather jacket and jeans, guilt dimmed his eyes. Picking up on that he didn’t want to kill me, a witch’s mark burned on his neck. Mouthing an apology as he charged at me, his club striking the tree next to me. One should open up if they need help, otherwise receiving it would be a mere pipe dream.
“‘She canceled her mate's bond with me and placed this damn curse on me.” He cried out desperately, aiming his club for my head. “Please take me out and make me a part of your team. In order to do that, you have to nearly kill me. On the brink of death, I will vow to make you my master. Work with me!” Dodging his attack, my dagger spun in my palm. Hating myself for what I was about to do, my heart couldn’t deny his request. Hitting the dirt, his club smashed into my shoulder. Screaming brokenly into the still afternoon air, my left shoulder had been shattered to pieces. Unable to get off the dirt, violet energy built around my right fist. Waiting until he was inches from my face, my fist smashed into his chest. Bone crunched, the tissue giving off a sickeningly wet noise as I squeezed until inky blood ran down my arm. Begging me with wet eyes, Marcus called out for me in the distance. Throwing him down next to me, his wheezes sounded horrendous. This plan had better work!
“I vow to serve you as a faithful servant.” He wheezed with a serene grin, tears of joy gliding down his cheek as an inky pocket watch tattoo replaced his former mark. “What is this warmth?” Chuckling under my breath, violet light blinded me as time reversed his heart’s damage. Listening to the ribs click back together, Marcus towered over us, his eyes flitting between his new mark and me. Jealousy flashed in his eyes before he settled on a pensive expression, his mind working through what to say. Don't you dare blow it!
“Mind explaining a few things for me? Why is our former enemy part of our team? When can we go back?” He inquired with a sneaky irritated tone, the dirt crunching as Saby caught up. “You look like hell and you only look like hell when you have run out of your powers. Did he do that to your shoulder because if he did, he would die if it were up to me.” Understanding that he meant every word, Gareth shot out a million apologies. Marcus cut his palm in a chilly silence, his inky blood pooling in his palm. Sitting on my lap, his palms smeared his blood all over my shoulders while humming a demonic spell. Stopping at the first sign of dusk, the bones took a minute to click back into place. Clutching me close to his chest, his chin rested on the top of my head. Tears soaked the top of my head, the vulnerable side being a rare side of him.
“Don’t you ever pull this shit again or God help me. You are way too important to me.” He admitted between sniffles, his lips grazing my cheek. “When your aunt brought up having a family, it struck a nerve with me. My whole family died in front of me and I can’t have that happen to our children. You would like to have children, right?” Parting my lips to speak, tears welled up in my eyes. The younger version of me skidded into the park, my eleven year old self looking covered head to toe in fresh bruises and cuts. Marcus placed a simple invisibility spell on us to protect the timeline, Struggling to keep my composure, my rat nest of hair spoke of weeks of neglect. Digging my fingers into Marcus’ arms, my grubby father marched into view. Screaming at her while beating her with a belt, his rage wouldn’t stop. Horror rounded my friends' eyes, the shame of my past being played out in front of them sickened me. Ruby began to splatter his red face, the corner of my lips quivering as the color drained from my cheeks. Threatening to kill her, his screwdriver plopped into her palm. Getting too close for us to hear his words, the wet sound of the screwdriver sinking into his artery had her screaming out the moment he landed on top of her. Pushing him off, a crowd began to gather. Whispering among themselves, the dark rumors of how dangerous the family was began to swirl. Begging for help, no one offered her assistance the moment police showed up. A sleek lilac car squealed up, my aunt hitting them with a forgetting spell. Apologizing to my younger self, they began to seal off the scene. Guiding my younger self into her car, Marcus knew well enough to order the others to start hiking with him. Fighting back a fresh wave of tears, that day had been like any other. Placing me on his back, the others shot out quick yeses. Crunching into the treeline, we came upon a cave system within five miles. Shooting the others a stern expression, they wandered off to find firewood. Chewing on my lips, violent sobs wracked my body. Burying my head into his chest, he had to hate me at this point. Cupping my face, his comforting words were doing little for my shortening breaths. Wanting to run, my lack of ability to run away was the sole thing preventing me. Gripping his shirt, my grasp couldn’t get any stronger.
“Shhhh!” He whispered sweetly into my ear, his lips brushing the tip of my ear. “What I saw was a girl fighting for her survival and nothing else. I am sorry that happened to you and I understand why you hid it from me.” His words faded in and out as if he was underwater, everything doubling. Exhaustion weighed on my eyelids, a dark slumber stealing me away.

2024.05.31 21:53 AffectionateResist82 The most efficient use of sweep tickets

The most efficient use of sweep tickets
The Doom warzone seems to be the most efficient use of sweep tickets (if you are able to clear it). Evidence: Doom warzone gives 6 ribbons for 3 tickets while all others give 4 or 3 for 2, thus any warzone which gives 3 ribbons per clear is already a bad option. Thus there is no loss of ribbon quantity from using them on Doom.
The ribbon quality of Doom warzone is far higher than the other warzones. For example the honor medals: Doom gives tanks and artillery (which are the most important ones for most people), while Ashes gives Tanks, Navy and Airforce (good but not as important). Thus it gives the best ribbons for the same price as the other warzones.

Promethean Concepts
I tend to use Heroforge as a sketchbook (easier to use on my lunch break), and I like to try and push what it can do. Likewise I ADORE prometheans but I personally think the disfigurements could use expanding on, just to keep them looking distinct in a crowd of other misc reanimated bodies. The Ulgan I wanted to push the inhuman alterations to the body from being shredded by spirits and I like the idea of this one being hounded constantly.

The poor Zeky always really feel like the worst off of anybody in the CofD for me, and they definitely need to be sad without looking like actual cancer patients (or Fallout Ghouls). Honestly they ended up with maybe the most visual personality in book descriptions out of anyone. One here has his skin sloughing off in ribbons like loose grafts!
https://preview.redd.it/fy6du0l55t3d1.png?width=1024&format=png&auto=webp&s=7231dce762c85ffd4176056b9ab12ded84797838

Separating Osirans from Mummies is frustrating given the lack of emphasis the text has on any given characters disfigurements (and there are surprisingly not many Osiran NPCs even). I mostly try to imagine the difference being Osirans looking just...less elegant? Either dried and dessicated or bloated bog bodies walking around without the grandeur Mummies emit. I picture this one constantly leaking water from orifices or joints, perfumed water that quickly goes stagnant and dank.
https://preview.redd.it/k0o6bdt65t3d1.png?width=1024&format=png&auto=webp&s=6931d9b83c8388522b87a166abe94164d587ffce
Tammuz suffer from this a little too, its hard to think of visual cues for what makes them uncanny or frightening. I had an idea for a younger girl Tammuz with the usual thick coat of earth but with a body that clearly showed the pressure of being buried in dirt and rocks with cracks in the mud going all the way down into tissue. Libby's Mark is not only on her forehead but over her lips, with her creator's idea of their language connection being more towards listening and writing than speech.
https://preview.redd.it/5tsgcux75t3d1.png?width=1024&format=png&auto=webp&s=e75a97569ac4921f7ee6c68028967bfa2215da50
The Galateids have some fun horror potential to me with how they traditionally need to be "cleaner" bodies. Angelface has marks of invasive lobotomy or shock therapy at their temples, but the small nicks around the neck are where their creator bled them out to keep their skin clear, likewise ridding them of all body hair, fingernails, etc. Angelface does their makeup carefully every morning to help them emote properly.
https://preview.redd.it/i5t9cpr85t3d1.png?width=1024&format=png&auto=webp&s=d886c6550586029071475077674c438f3919adf4
Cynthia's creator was worried their "donor" wasn't pristine enough, that it had been too long between death and ceremony so they encased the body in a store mannequin like a nesting doll. Although successful, her creator may have been right to a degree. Under their stiff cool skin and nylon hair, faint knocking and sloshing can be heard when she moves too sharply (especially through a cracked under her choker necklace), and a faint scent of decay lurks under the heavy perfume she wears (and drinks). No, that handkerchief isn't soaked in chloroform, what are you talking about?
https://preview.redd.it/jbqb1vr85t3d1.png?width=1024&format=png&auto=webp&s=5aff4e5b47b1931a3db75d9af8e946b9095090e1
Prometheans deserve both more love and more chances to be visual horror on top of emotional, hope these prove interesting!
(Note: sorry for weird edit and repost, it kept posting when I was trying to do line breaks. Also reddit ate the original image set so had to re-add them in the text? What the hell)

I installed some new ribbon. It’s not working. When I type there’s no ink depositing. The ribbon is fresh. I can’t find a good tutorial to see what I’m missing. It’s a smith-corona electric portable typewriter.

2024.05.30 15:08 the_birt_project BIRT Incident Response & Triage Beta update

I had previously posted asking for beta testers and several of you responded, so thanks!
Since then, I've added a (very simple) YouTube channel that has quick tutorials on how to use the application and several small blog posts on LinkedIn (I know, I know...). The application has also been updated so that the documentation is front-and-center on the main ribbon menu.
The blog posts cover local/remote LLM integration and using Sysmon and the Win32 API data source. I think next week I'll have a text post on integrating Velociraptor.
What can BIRT do?
Please check it out and let me know what you think, thanks!

2024.05.29 16:42 Upstairs_Tea1787 Total Drama Reboot Season 3, Episode 4 (My Way)

Chris recaps last episode, the teams embarked on a scavenger hunt challenge, searching for items from previous seasons. Unfortunately, Ripper's attempt to force a volcano to erupt backfired, causing his team to get knocked out by gaseous fumes, and the Serpents won, which was enough to send Ripper packing, who will go next?
Intro Plays like Usual
Axel is seen laying in her bunk reading a little poetry book, that was full of Ripper's cheesy poems, as a way to remind her of him, she puts the book back under her pillow when Nichelle comes in venting about how Julia is still here, and that she can't wait until she goes home, Axel admires her aggressive approach at the game, and that she could use an ally now that Ripper is gone, Nichelle agrees, the more people that can take out Julia, the better. We then see Chase rewatching the footage he took of Damien and making edits to it, and Emma appears behind him since she overheard him, Emma does not approve of Chase's idea of humiliating Damien, and that if anyone deserves humiliation is him, Chase brushes it off as Emma just doesn't know how to have fun anymore. Emma storms off and runs into Caleb who was on a morning run on his own since Millie and Damien are still sleeping, and asks why she's mad, and she says she fed up with the way Chase is never going to change, and is feeling nothing but guilt about how things ended with Bowie back in S1, Caleb tells her about the talk he and Bowie had during the last challenge, and that he has fully forgiven Bowie for what he did, Caleb suggests that she gives Bowie another chance, since he's not that bad at all, Emma takes this into consideration, but she's not sure when the right time is. Wayne and Bowie are then walking into the foxes' cabin smelling the stink of the lucky jersey, and Raj says that despite the smell, he slept like a baby and feels better than he did yesterday, Zee, who's in the bunk above Raj wakes up and isn't all bothered by the smell, and that Raj tells him that it's for luck, and speaking of luck, Zee shows Raj, Wayne, and Bowie the tiki charm on his ponytail that he found during the last challenge, Zee then goes outside hoping that he can that maybe he could find a tiki necklace, or a tiki mask to match, as Zee leaves Wayne and Raj are admiring Zee's new swag, Bowie agrees with them, but then all of sudden he remembers something about Tikis on Boney Island back from Season 1 of the original season, he reminds them a contestant brought a tiki statue off of boney island and their team went on a losing streak, Bowie believes that this tiki charm Zee could be the same thing, but he's smart enough to know that there's no such thing as bad luck, but he tells Raj to keep an eye on Zee and the charm just in case. Julia and MK watch Zee from a bush figuring what the best course of action is and they get an idea, they walk up to Zee and MK tells Zee that his prostetic leg looks a little loose, and as naive as Zee is, he bends down to loosen it while Julia then takes the charm. Zee then thanks them and he walks away sipping his soda, MK then puts the charm under her beanie so they know where it is. We then see Damien and Millie in their swimsuits reading Priya's guide and are taking a lot of things in, Damien jokes that it feels nice reading a book without Ripper calling a nerd alert, Millie then reads about flying under the radar, and Damien jokes that MK could never, Millie thinks this strategy could work for, Damien reads something about using your strengths and weaknesses to your advantage and the game is full of surprises, Millie then finds something about alliances, and that you should have bonds with a multiple contestants to solidify your position, which she feels Caleb would need. Eventually Caleb and Emma come in their swimsuits and ask if they are ready for the challenge, and just as they come in Chris announces it's challenge time, all four walk out of the serpents' cabin to the challenge, Scary Girl then waits until they leave and starts looking through Priya's guide and puts it down after a few seconds, to catch up with the team.
With everyone arriving in their swimsuits, Chris announces that today's challenge will be a surfing in which they will follow a surfing tutorial that actually features Geoff and Bridgette from Season 1 of the Original Season, each team will have their own surf board, and if you wipe out, you're out, the last person standing will win immunity for their team. Chase believes this is his challenge to win, and that he can film himself doing almost anything, he'll go viral, Emma scoffs and says much as Emma hates Chase, she says that if he wins the challenge, that means she'll be safe, and that's very important for her own game. Nichelle says she's surfed for one of her movies, on a tsunami, so she believes that she's the best they've got. Julia says that she once had a week long footage of surfing with sharks. Nichelle tells her that there's no way she's better than her, and Julia thinks otherwise, and they start throwing hands until Raj steps in telling them that they need to stop cause they are a team and they have already lost twice, and can't afford another loss. Nichelle tells Julia Raj is right and that Julia should stop and that she is nothing, MK roasts her by saying that she's the one who went pre-merge twice, and that makes Nichelle's blood boil, Chris interrupts saying that he loves the drama, but they need to start the challenge.
He then turns on the wave machine that makes the waves big and all the contestants go up on their boards, He then plays the first trick in which is Geoff just holding his arms out, most of the contestants do this just fine, but Millie struggles with keeping her balance and is the first to be eliminated, Millie admits that physical challenges haven't been her strong suit, and that she needs to work on that. Geoff then displays the next move, which is holding arms while bending their knees, unfortunately for Caleb he gets a cramp in his leg and wipes out, saying he really needs to remember leg day from here on out. Geoff then shows the next move which is standing on the board backwards, and Axel wipes out admitting that she only looks forward not backwards, Emma who is busy trying to focus while Chase is next to her commentating about the challenge and tries to move the board away from him carefully, but she only moves the board, not herself which she falls in the water and is eliminated. The next move is a duo in which two people must surf while staring at each other. Bowie and Wayne look at each other giving each other encouraging words. Zee and Raj look at each other with zee telling him luck is on their side, but still doesn't realize it's not on his ponytail anymore, Julia and MK stare at each other and MK tells Julia that she still thinks she lowkey likes her, Julia still denies it, and grabs her beanie and throws it and it lands on Zee, MK reminds that she forgot that they put the tiki charm in there and MK tries to reach to grab it but she wipes out. We then see Nichelle staring at Damien telling her that she admires his jabs at Julia in S2, and thinks about working with her in the future as she is looking for revenge, Damien considers it but tells her he would rather take it one challenge at a time. Scary Girl is then shown staring at Chase and is eyeing up his camera, and asks if she can hold it, Chase thinks she's crazy no one touches his camera, Scary Girl denies that she's crazy, she's scary, and gets closer and closer to Chase, in which he jumps off his board onto hers and she snags the camera and starts playing the footage of Damien struggling with his shoelaces and giggling at it, in which Damien spots them and tells Chase to eliminate every footage of that tape, but Chase thinks of a better plan, he jumps onto Damien's board and pushes him off, eliminating him, Scary Girl tells him he's making a mistake, but Chase tells Scary Girl that he thinks he can see Damien bleeding, and immediately jumps off the board hoping to take a sample of that, meaning she's out. Geoff and Bridgette then demonstrate a move in which you hold up two surfs up signs and pump your fist in the air, Wayne thinks this one is easy and does it but knocks of his hat and it hits Bowie which causes him to knock his board into Wayne's, which causes both of them to wipe out. Nichelle then sees that it's just Chase left out the serpents and that there is four of them left, and they could finally win a challenge, Nichelle says that she can win this for them easily and that she can surf circles around her. Chris then says that it is indeed the next move and shows Geoff and Bridgette surfing in a circle on their board. Chase is then shown still holding his camera and having little to know problems filming and surfing at the same time. Zee also has been surprisingly well, he's never even surfed before, until he started going out of control and started due to MK's hat blocking his vision, causing him to use his control and then starts surfing towards Nichelle and Julia who are still at each other's throats trying to prove who's better, Nichelle then tells Julia that she only made it as far as she did because she just got lucky, and she could never win if she never had luck on her side, and Julia reminds her that Nichelle never had any luck since she never had the chance to make merge, that thought of the word "merge" once again made her anger levels increase, but as Nichelle was about to jump on Julia's board to knock her out, Zee comes by crashing into them, knocking all three them out of the competition, only leaving Raj and Chase. Raj is worried because he's been watching Chase surf and he's amazing and Zee then says he thinks Raj could use his good luck charm, and realizes that his tiki charm was in MK's hat, saying that the charm seemed to have a mind of its own, and throws Raj the good luck charm, and he catches it, and Geoff and Bridgette display the final move which is throwing an item up an air and jumping up to catch it while landing back on your board. Chase performs it with ease, even the camera facing him as he throws it and catches it. Raj then throws the charm in the air, but a wave pushes Raj away which causes him to miss the catch and wipes out, meaning the serpents win once again. The Serpents celebrate their victory, though Emma's trying to be happy despite it being Chase who won it for them. Nichelle can't believe they lost three times in a row, and thinks the game is rigged against them. Axel is befuddled on why they keep losing challenges, she's not sure if the other team is too good, or they just suck. Julia says she may have an explanation, and Nichelle isn't looking forward too it, but Julia then gets the tiki charm that washed up back on shore and Zee says that's his good luck charm, Axel recognizes the tiki, saying she's heard stories about how much BAD luck they are and how one team challenge after challenge once someone found that tiki. Raj said Bowie was right and that bad luck is real and walks away sadly. Zee feels a bit betrayed that someone as nice as Raj was mad at him. Axel and Nichelle look at Zee in disapproval, Julia and MK smirk.
Cut to the elimination.
Chris says he's getting a bit tired of seeing their faces for the third time in a row, but at least it will be one less. Chef then calls out the teams' biggest blunders.
Nichelle and Julia: They seemed more focused on targeting each other than winning the challenge.
Each other say she started it.
Zee: That tiki charm brought "bad luck" to the team, and caused bad luck for the foxes team and zero Ws.
Zee says he should have known better, but hates the hate Nichelle, Axel, and Raj gave him. Can't blame Julia and MK though.
Raj: He missed the catch for tiki charm, which caused the team to lose.
Raj said that was the charm's fault not him.
Marshmallows goes to...
Axel
Nichelle
MK
Julia
It was down to Raj and Zee
The last marshamallow goes to...
Raj. Which means Zee is eliminated.
Raj was a bit shocked he was in the bottom 2 over Julia. Zee then says he voted for him, since he felt a bit hurt by him walking away, Raj then says he's sorry for that and that may have been because he's still upset over his separation from Bowie and Wayne, and isn't mad at him but the tiki charm. Axel and Nichelle look at each other, feeling bad for the way the looked at Zee earlier.
Chris then tells Zee it's time to go, and Zee then decides to take the charm from Raj, who was still holding it, and says he would rather take away that bad luck to give him a chance, besides Zee said he already had money from his soda sponsor and that him leaving while being separated from his best friend and boyfriend would just be wrong. Raj hugs Zee.
Zee then climbs into the casket of Cruelty, and it gets taken away, with Zee drinking his soda, but accidently puts the tiki charm in his mouth, causing him to gag it out and it falls into the water, Zee said that it was for the best and that it was time for that charm to have a permanent home.
Nichelle then says in a confessional, that she voted for Zee, but feels bad, as Zee was so well liked and felt a certain someone would have made a better , but that will make their demise to be more satisfying and can't wait for the right opportunity.
So with Zee out, and tiki charm gone, will the foxes be able to turn around their luck. What is Nichelle planning to do to Julia? Find out more on the next episode coming soon.

2024.05.29 04:12 Iplaythebass0088 Customization gone wrong

So I recently decided to custom paint a 2ds for one of my friends as a graduation present. I had never done this before though and had a lot of trouble finding good tutorials or even just videos of people properly spray painting their 2ds’.
Anyway I ended up accidentally getting a little paint on the ribbon cables connected to the faceplate. I cleaned it off with rubbing alcohol but I’m unsure if they still work.
I’m worried I might further damage the system if I try putting it back together to see if it still works.
I have a spare 2ds lying around I’ve been meaning to fix up that I reckon I could take the faceplate from but then that system would be rendered useless.
I’ve looked on eBay for replacement faceplates but I can’t find any.
Unsure what to do from here. Any advice would be appreciated.

2024.05.28 19:54 Coyote_Havoc My Fathers Before Me

good chance of onion ninjas
I found the chest when I was seven, playing in the house while my mother tended the family garden. My father had left before sunrise, as he did one day every year. I never thought to ask where he went on that day, school had just let out and summer was on its way in, the adventures with my friends were more important to me. Summer was short and school would return before we knew it.
Plastic sword in hand, prepared to defend my ship, I walked through the house looking for stowaways and found the treasure in my parents closet. Gold coins attached to ribbons placed neatly in a wooden box with a silver necklace carrying an angel, and another necklace bore my Father's name on two plates, between them a casing, battered and dull. My Father's treasures were so great why hide them?
Resting underneath the wooden box was a green jacket, folded neatly and proud, a patch on the sleeve ringed in bright red and a thin border of white in the shape of the plates that bore my Father's name. There was an odd knife in the center, the blade held high from two snow capped mountains, eight stars at the top, three on one side of the knife, five on the other. Below was an eagle on a green shield. Shinny brass buttons held the coat closed, each had an eagle with stars above its head, the talons held arrows in one claw, a branch in the other, and a banner in its beak. Pins on the lapels read "support" on a blue banner, silver hands held an eight pointed red star. On the right were little rainbow ribbons pinned above the pocket, bronze leaves on a few, stars on some more, a knotted cord on crimson and white, an "M" on cream and light blue, a "4" on blue yellow and red. What did these mean?
The right side had our last name below a red arrow that held a ships wheel and a shield with a winged wheel. "Spearhead of Logistics" scrolled beneath. On that sleeve, a black tab, "Airborne" stitched in gold and a bald eagle screaming on a black shield.
I put on my Father's coat and found another underneath. The shoulders bore white diamonds, ivy leaves at the corners. The ribbons were as bright, but different in pattern. Green and yellow with three red stripes, green and white with a silver scroll read "69 -" something that had not ended? Another coat rested beneath that one, and another further still, all smartly packed away, but ready to be donned again. I put them all back the way I had found them, my Father's treasures were vast, but were hidden for a purpose.
At dinner that night the colors and symbols still danced in my mind.
"Dad, what does 'Airborne' mean?"
That was the first time I saw my father cry. My mother's eyes went wide, but my father just shed tears, his dinner forgotten.
"You were in the closet weren't you?" He asked.
How did he know? Mom had not seen me and he'd been gone all day. I placed everything back where I had found it to the best of my knowledge.
"I'll tell you tomorrow." He said, and picked up his plate before walking to the kitchen.
I couldn't sleep that night. Was I in trouble? What would he say? The minutes ticked by like hours, the silent darkness passed uninterrupted until the first light of day peaked through my window. He knocked softly at my door, no time was left for worry and fear. The door opened and my father looked down at me, still tucked into bed. The coat I discovered hung proudly from his shoulders as he sat on my bed.
"Get up and get ready," he spoke softly, "today you will walk with me."
I pulled on my pants and threw my shirt over my head before picking up my shoes and entering the living room. My grandfather was there wearing the second coat I found. A tear in his eye as he looked down on me.
"Kind of soon for him isn't it?" My grandfather asked.
"He has to know sooner or later." My father replied.
We walked across town my father on my right, his father on my left, laughing and talking about when my father was young. People stopped to watch this little parade, silent and knowing the truth I was about to learn. On the edge of the town was the graveyard, grey markers on a field of green, but a flag flew proudly in front of a few. This is where my father went once a year just before June.
"This is my father," my grandfather said in front of a stone polished and carved with our family name.
My father handed me a gold dollar like the one in his hand. My grandfather place a gold dollar on the stone and stepped back to salute. My father followed him, every action the same, and I knew what to do. On the way home we stopped at a diner for breakfast. People would pass to say 'thank you' between bites of pancakes and eggs. My father only nodded and my grandfather smiled. I knew nothing needed to be said in reply, and my Fathers treasures took on more meaning than gold and silver ever would.
The thunder of artillery rolls across this new world, far from the star that I knew as a child. My grandfather rests next to his father now, in that green field of stones so far away. My father still walks across town to lay a coin on their markers, and when I get home from this world I will join him. My faith is in my rifle, and the armor I wear. The man and the woman beside me are more precious than money or power. The adventures of my youth are replaced by the realities in front of me as we fight for a treasure more valuable than gold and silver, a future for our own sons and daughters, a legacy we will give them like my fathers before me.
