Black Powder Bonanza: Transitional Revolver and Related Rules

Hi everyone, I’m a history buff and collector of Victorian militaria. I’ve worked with, assembled, handled, and restored weapons from the Victorian era, when muzzle loading weapons were replaced by cartridge firearms. One homebrew early firearm I’d like to introduce to Pathfinder is the transitional revolver, the missing link between the revolver and pepperbox.
Interestingly, the firearms pictured in Ultimate Equipment and Ultimate Combat have some realistic roots. The revolver shown resembles a Lefaucheux pinfire revolver (one of the first real life revolvers to use metallic cartridges). The pepperbox pistol appears to be a double action one (like the Ethan Allen patterns), as opposed to a single action one (requiring manual cycling).
Historically, Colt’s patent prevented competitors from making true revolvers, so pepperbox designs were adapted into “transitional” revolvers. So, here’s my homebrew solution for a transitional revolver.
Transitional Revolver: Early Firearm: Treat as pepperbox, save that it requires only one hand to use and fire. The price is 500 gp greater than a pepperbox, totally 3500 gp.
Another piece of kit: Conversion Cylinder: Can allow a transitional revolver or pepperbox fire metallic cartridges, or an advanced revolver used black powder, paper cartridges, and alchemical cartridges. Cost is 500 gp. Some other optional rules:
Cavalry RevolveTransitional Revolver: Treat as base weapon, but up the damage die by one size. Treat as oversized weapon.
Empty Chamber: For transitional revolvers and pepperboxes only. Reduce misfire chance by 1 for leaving hammer down on an empty chamber. If you don’t load all of your chambers, you get -1 to total misfire chance (before using alchemical cartridges or other special ammo).
And a LeMat-inspired gun: -Grapeshot RevolveTransitional Revolver: Treat as base weapon, but bullet capacity increases to 9, plus an additional scatter shot. Converting between scattergun barrel and revolver is an immediate action. Total cost: 8000 gp. Misfire: 1-3. Total weight: 6 lb.
Thoughts?
