Lettering is 'the act, art or process of inscribing or writing words on something'. And it is also just awesome. If you create your own or find awesome ones out in the wild, throw them up and let it be ridiculed or revered!

OKSO BACKSTORY! I’ve been wanting tattoos all my life. I’m between a couple ideas for my first one (either lettering on my forearm or a more picture design on my upper arm) but I’m concerned about getting them now. I’m quite small. A couple months ago I was at about 133 pounds and very sickly/scawny. I recently got into a better situation and have been working at putting both weight and muscle back on! Haven’t weighed myself but I can at least say the difference is quite noticeable. I still have a long way to go. Ive left the “skinny to the point of unhealthy” stage but still want put a substantial amount of both fat and muscle back on. Especially since for medical reasons I’m always a little at risk of losing a lot of weight again later.
So. Oh Reddit tattoo community. Should I get tattoos while still small ? Or try to get to my goal weight first? Does gaining weight affect tattoo appearance more/less than weight loss or is it about the same? Are certain tatttoo types (image vs script) or styles (traditional, black work, geometric) better at adapting to body changes than others? Thank you in advance for any help !!
