Hi there, we’ve had our property on the market for just over a week. It’s a 2 up 2 down mid-terrace with permit parking and small courtyard garden. (I only mention as I understand that could be off putting). It’s got a modern bathroom and kitchen and decorated in a modern style (recently painted, etc). So, ready to go with no work needed.
We bought it as first time buyers. Seems ideal for similar or perhaps someone downsizing.
My question is should we be worried that there’s been no viewings after a week? Understand it was bank holiday and half term here.
Looking on the thread the obvious answer is going to be priced too high. However, the price is in line with multiple similar properties in the area. Is it just a slow market at the moment?

I do not know who else to talk to so I’ve come to you reddit. Roughly a year ago I graduated from police academy and started my first employment in Scottsdale, AZ. I stayed there for about 6 months and then I was transferred to a station in Pima County, where I has practically the same hours as my previous station. About a week ago is was moved to night shift witch wasn’t too hard to adjust to because I live alone. Most of the time I was parked outside of a waste management facility running plates and doing the occasional speeding ticket. I never really talk to anyone much at the station, I like to clock in get my hours in and go home.
One night I was requested to aid in a car-chase, I was pretty stoked because this had never happened before and felt like I was in an action scene from one in 60 seconds. When I went home later that day I found 2 gunshot wounds to my sternum. I was very confused because I did not feel any injury at all.
I must have had too much to drink before work because I kept seeing really weird things that I still can’t quite put together and no cars on the road. But as soon as I go home I’m just fine. It’s almost as if I leave a part of me behind every time I clock in and pick up a new one. Now every time I leave for work and go to my usual station, alone made you, about halfway through my workday, suddenly I have a partner in my passenger seat. Ive never seen this guy at the office and now he is just randomly cracking jokes in my car. His name tag said Erik Hite, I know that name from somewhere but I couldn’t put my finger on it. Same thing happened every day I went into work, you get used to it after awhile. One distinct feature I connect to him is he is not up to date on most things. He said that he was exited for the release of Iron Man 2 which confused and put me off quite a bit.
I asked around at the office if anyone has seen him around before and all of them ignored me and not even acknowledge me, I don’t know if this is some kind of prank or something and if it is its not a good one. The next day when I went into work I noticed he too, had apparent gunshot wounds. When I asked him about them he was confused at the question and said “what do you mean gunshot wounds? I’m as healthy as I’ve ever been!” I knew that he wasn’t messing with me by the way that he said it. Is he in the same situation as I am but just doesn’t realize the gunshot wounds? Or is he in denial of the whole situation?
Earlier this month is got in contact with someone who claimed to be the wife of Erik, Nohemy Hite. I started talking with her over Facebook about her husband, one thing that really weirded me out was that she always used past tense while talking about her husband. This is all the info I have for people guys right now, I will post an update once I find out more. It would be much appreciated if you good people could do more research on the mysterious people I have cited, since I still have an actual life so and I don’t have much spare time for research. I got to thinking today about many of the complaints made about Chinese manufacturing. The major ones being that due to a large amount of state-funding that wasn't beholden to the normal market mechanism of needing to make a profit, it allowed for the growth of China's manufacturing industry beyond what would normally occur. This resulted in the gutting of the manufacturing industries in the USA and many other places around the world (or at least their acceleration).
But then I also got to thinking about the interesting parallel this seems to have with the software industry in the United States. It is well-known in software fields that salaries etc are far better in the USA than virtually anywhere else in the world. But many of the companies that were able to offer these salaries/perks have either never seen a profit or were funded purely via venture capital. The effect on the software industries in other nations was fairly similar in that a lot of market share was lost to the USA.
While I realise the industries aren't directly comparable for a number of reason due to the difference between physical manufacturing and digital software, I thought some of the parallels in this area were interesting to think about.
The more time goes on and interest rates remain elevated, it seems like the low interest rate world of the 2010s was an anomaly that accelerated all sorts of economic distortions globally that are now unwinding in differing ways.

And the call for evidence on fit note reform – which could see responsibility for issuing fit notes shifted away from GPs and towards “specialist work and health professionals” – is due to close on 8 July.

As you may remember, a Safeguarding vulnerable claimants: Work and Pensions Committee inquiry was launched after the number of Internal Process Reviews (IPRs) carried out by DWP to investigate allegations of inadequate case handling that may have resulted in serious harm more than doubled in the three years from July 2019. There have also been a number of individual cases which have highlighted issues around safeguarding and the actions of DWP. One element of the inquiry was a survey of DWP staff and the survey results are now available.

Appeal statistics update
With thanks to u/hooliganmembrane for sharing this with the Mod Team… I've been looking for good statistics on percentage of appeals lapsed for months now, I'm sure it used to be on HMCTS' quarterly reports but it's not been on there the last few reports I've looked at. Anyway, I've just come across this report published in March this year which has loads of really useful information about statistics, particularly section 8 talking about customer journeys. It has some great ways of visualising the data and breaks it down by initial claims vs award reviews/change of circumstances, all of which is apparently what gets me excited at 10pm on a Wednesday evening (on annual leave, no less). Wanted to share it as something that may be a good resource to add to the wealth that y'all have collated for the community here. It also gives me my long-sought-after lapsed appeal statistics - 24% for initial PIP decisions and a whopping 47% for award reviews and change of circumstances. Will keep hunting for stats for other benefits. Love hooligan 🦇

Following the Dissolution of Parliament on 30 May 2024 there are no MPs and every seat in the Commons is vacant. As a result there will be no new laws or committee action and the weekly news will be rather ‘light’ until after the election and we have a new government in place following the general election on 4 July 2024.

The Modernising Support for Independent Living green paper and consultation – which includes options for making it harder to claim personal independence payment and even replacing cash payments with vouchers or one-off grants – is due to close on 22 July.
And the call for evidence on fit note reform – which could see responsibility for issuing fit notes shifted away from GPs and towards “specialist work and health professionals” – is due to close on 8 July.

As you may remember, a Safeguarding vulnerable claimants: Work and Pensions Committee inquiry was launched after the number of Internal Process Reviews (IPRs) carried out by DWP to investigate allegations of inadequate case handling that may have resulted in serious harm more than doubled in the three years from July 2019. There have also been a number of individual cases which have highlighted issues around safeguarding and the actions of DWP. One element of the inquiry was a survey of DWP staff and the survey results are now available.
DNS shares their view and provides a summary of the above on disabilitynewsservice.com Note: All committees (except some statutory committees) have ceased to exist pending the election. The information on the Work and Pension Committee online pages - including the inquiries that were in progress - refer to committees and their work before Parliament was dissolved. If there are Government responses to committee reports outstanding, these may be published in the next Parliament.
Appeal statistics update
With thanks to u/hooliganmembrane for sharing this with the Mod Team… I've been looking for good statistics on percentage of appeals lapsed for months now, I'm sure it used to be on HMCTS' quarterly reports but it's not been on there the last few reports I've looked at. Anyway, I've just come across this report published in March this year which has loads of really useful information about statistics, particularly section 8 talking about customer journeys. It has some great ways of visualising the data and breaks it down by initial claims vs award reviews/change of circumstances, all of which is apparently what gets me excited at 10pm on a Wednesday evening (on annual leave, no less). Wanted to share it as something that may be a good resource to add to the wealth that y'all have collated for the community here. It also gives me my long-sought-after lapsed appeal statistics - 24% for initial PIP decisions and a whopping 47% for award reviews and change of circumstances. Will keep hunting for stats for other benefits. Love hooligan 🦇

2009 Forester X 2.5L NA Auto Trans 140,000 miles
Hello everyone. New to Fozzies and this forum. I've done a fair bit of searching here to get to the point I'm at but I'm stumped. I need some help chasing down this misfiring issue. I apologize in advance for the wall of text, and thanks in advance for any help.
In OctobeNovember 2023 she was running like trash, dying coming to a stop and idling like garbage. Consuming more oil than I'd like but nothing crazy for these motors. ~1qt/1000miles. New plugs and wires took care of it and she ran great. Didn't bother with the ignition coil because it tested fine (~12ohm) and the OEM coils are supposed to be impossible to kill. Until first week of April maybe 5000 miles later when on the highway she lurched real hard and the CEL and cruise control light started flashing at me. Still running well enough, plenty of power, sounds fine so I'm confused, pull over and check the codes. P0302 P0304. Limp the car home while it tries to shake itself apart, computer aint lying she's definitely missing. Get home and park it while accepting something is broke and cursing my decision to buy the mommy missile in the first place.
The car sits 8 weeks before I find the time or motivation to dig into it. Shocker the battery is dead and she wont start, jump it and take her around the block to warm up and see what she tells me. Running awesome, no missing but the electrical keeps cutting out like the battery isn't charging. Well shit here we go, park it in the driveway and put the multimeter on the battery, god damnit 8.4 volts and we were just driving. She ain't charging so I head to the parts store and test the battery and alternator. Both fail their tests so they get replaced. New battery and alt go in and she hardly wants to start and when she does wont hold an idle, keeps dying. Pull the coil again and test it again just to see if I just misread the last test, still well within spec 12 ohms per. Ran out of steam at that point.
That brings us to this morning, fast cranking but wont turn over, total no start. I noticed there was oil in the air resonator so may as well replace the PCV valve, cant hurt at all. Check the stored and pending codes again for shits 'n giggles, surprise new friend P0303 joined his buddies P0302 and P0304. Removed and cleaned the throttle body even though it didn't need it because I was frustrated and it was an easy task to accomplish. The fact that most of my issues had started in bank 2 along with my oil consumption made me suspicious so here comes a compression test.
Folks you're probably going to be as shocked as I was to see cold compression at 150psi across all 4 cylinders at 6000' elevation. I don't know what spec is, but those numbers look like a pretty healthy motor to me. Big sigh of relief there. Plugs look a little icky but not really due for replacement, still even gapped correctly. The damn adapter for the compression tester is stuck so I've gotta go get some loctite in the morning so I can get that out and try to start the pig up again. Do you guys have any ideas where I should look next if its still acting up tomorrow? Fuel delivery is the only thing left I think. Is there a way to test injectors with the motor in the car?
