Amahahn was seated at an oval table, a velvety dark green cape with golden hems and patterns draped over his shoulders. Three bowls of Shamal stew were placed on the table, vegetables and fine cut pieces of meat floating in the simmering Kahnjari milk.
“Three bowls. Are we expecting company besides our own, Amahahn?” Emma raised a brow as she plucked the visor cap off her head. Amahahn’s response was a chuckle, low and dry.
“Oh, you must be terribly informed. I’m married to a daughter of one of the noble houses on Kouvajilo”
Emma clenched her jaw and fists, slipping into one of the chairs. She placed her cap on the table, glancing over her shoulder as a door opened.
A young woman with olive skin in a white dress stood in the door, hands clutched at her front. A golden belt sat tight around her slender waist, her sleeves large and loose on her arms.
“Laudjehne, love. Come dine with me and our guest” The Prince Regent motioned to the empty seat at his side.
The girl dipped her head, the white dress floating behind her as she moved. She glided to Amahahn's side, fingers tracing his shoulder as she seated herself.
"It's an honor for me to share the same table as you, Empress. I've read your grandfather's books quite actively"
Emma blinked at the sleek face talking to her.
"Oh, yes. My grandfather's books..." Emma mumbled, picking up the wooden paddle-shaped spoon. She lifted her eyes to met Laudjehne's gaze.
"I've just read 'On the Building of the State' and 'The Laws of Steel and Soil' Laudjehne said, stirring her Shamal. Amahahn scoffed with the ghost of a smirk spread across his lips. Laudjehne's rich blue eyes fell upon her husband, her thin throat bobbing.
Amahahn drew a finger along one of his pale cheeks, his vicious smile persisting. The Prince Regent cast his dark eyes on a steward concealed in the shadows of a corner, the man striding forwards with a clay bottle of sweet wine.
Emma nodded her thanks to the steward, plucking her cup from the table and stirred the orange liquid.
"There's something too that interests me about your grandfather, Your Majesty" Laudjehne said, swallowing a spoonful of the beige stew.
Emma hummed her approval of the inquiry as she drank, the sweet finish of the wine dancing over the taste buds on her tunge.
"It puzzles me greatly how your grandfather persistently denies Goudanja and Kouvajilo's request to be annexed into Simonistan. Why would an empire ever turn another state's request for be anexed into it?"
Emma lowered her spoon, swallowing down her rambling thoughts as well as a spoonful Shamal.
"The Constitution of Simonistan does not permit acts of imperialism. Even if the other party willing approves of annexation into Simonistan, we cannot legally carry out such a request within the boundaries of our legal code"
At that, the Prince Regent chuckled. Emma felt heat flare across her cheek, yet she jutted out her chin to disapprovve of Amahahn's taunt. Already, she knew what was to come.
But Amahahn never dared bring up the topic.
"Oh...that's lofty principles to stand by" Laudjehn murmured, batting her blue eyes. Emma sensed her confusion but chose not to clarify. After all, she could not not clarify her grandfather's mindset.
Perhaps, if only she hadn’t taken so much after him; safe for his openly revolutionary rethoric and lingering autocratic aura, she would have annexed the union of Goudanja and Kouvajilo in a heartbeat.
That very popular man who it pained Emma to know, still considered himself an unrighteous dictator, yet cheered her on as empress.

2024.05.19 01:14 Werthead Updated Homeworld Galaxy Map
 | I have updated - well, created from new - the Homeworld galaxy map with information from Homeworld 3. The Homeworld 3 Historical & Technical Briefing came with a newly-updated map, which I combined with the previous official maps, maps from the various manuals etc and extrapolated information from in-game to create a hopefully-definitive map. I even incorporated elements from the Homeworld 2 working map they used in 2002 during the creation of the game. submitted by Werthead to homeworld [link] [comments] Blackbird/Gearbox did balls up a few things on the new map, like having the Sea of Lost Souls and Ghost Ship in different places, and having the Bridge of Sighs hundreds of light-years from Hiigara rather than, y'know, immediately outside the same system, so I rectified those errors. Otherwise I kept to the official information. Obviously a huge shout-out to Norsehound for creating the OG Homeworld maps way back in the day. There are a ton of locations I couldn't place due to lack of information: Homeworld: Cataclysm happens across a somewhat small area of the galaxy, but it's unclear where it's supposed to be going down, so I left that off the map. Likewise the wealth of new locations from Homeworld Mobile (mostly in another galaxy, so no hugely relevant) and Homeworld: Revelations don't have locations given for them, so I left them off. I might do a "Homeworld Expanded Universe" map later on which adds those elements back in, but that'd be non-canon. This map I'd hopefully say is almost-entirely-canon. The underlying image is NASA's image of the Whirlpool Galaxy from Wikipedia. Like the in-game and other official maps, the image is flipped on the vertical axis. Given the new official map also lops off the satellite NGC-5195 - despite it appearing in Cataclysm as the possible source of the Naggarok - I'm thinking it's really not literally supposed to be the Whirlpool Galaxy. At the moment there are 2 pairs of wheels, but I can't understand which one to choose, how wide the disc should be. So the options: 1. Campagnolo Shamal Inner width: 21mm Rim Height: Front: 35mm Rear: 40mm 2. Campagnolo Levante Inner width: 25mm Rim Height: Front: 30.6mm Rear: 30mm Of course, you can also recommend another option. It is planned to drive with 38-40mm tires and only gravel races.

I bought a pair of these rims. And when I unpacked it, I noticed that there were small edges or ridges on the rim flange. And not as smooth and even as my DT Swiss carbon rims, for example. These look manufacturing-related. This is the first time I've seen something like this and I'm wondering if it's normal with these rims.
Edit: Campagnolo Support told me that it is normal due to manufacturing process.

So i recently checked the 5 Star Stories series, and it's magical, this led to me imagining what a Xover between it and the Nanoha Franchise would be like, so now i am sharing my ideas for it. The story takes place in Midchilda, Fate is a Headliner who has won many fighting tournaments with her Mortarr Head, Bardiche, built by her mother, the crazed Prescia. Years ago Fate lost both her father and her older sister, Alicia, during the War against the Belkan Empire, while Midchilda won, millions where left dead, and the Belkan Empire fell, eventually being revived by the sole surving heir of the royal family, Hayate.
Fate relationship with her mother fell apart after the war, with Prescia becoming a recluse and barely interacting with others, including her own surviving daughter and her maid, Rynith Prescia coped by dedicating herself to Mortarr Head development, eventually creating Bardiche and giving it to Fate so the young lady could gather more Data for her. This made Fate feel lonely as she felt her mom didn't cared about anything, including her, anymore. However, she at least had companionship in the form of her personal Maid Alph and her childhood friend, Nanoha, however the latter would vanish one day without a trace, and her parents couldn't say anything about what happened. Prescia also wasn't of much help, her advice for Fate was to forget about Nanoha, people sometimes just betray you, leave you, or worse, die on you, and she should dedicate her life to completing Bardiche, her (Prescia's) Masterpiece.
Bardiche, unlike other Midchildan MHs, lacks a humanoid Fatima, instead having an Ambryo-like Fatima implanted onto his head. Fate wishes to have an humanoid Fatima, someone she could have a conversation with, and maybe, someone to love, as Headliner-Fatima relationship are very common in Midchilda. But Prescia refuses to get a Humanoid Fatima for Bardiche, saying that it's desnecessary, and it would only distract Fate from gathering more Data for Bardiche.
The mother and daughter duo are invited to a Gala being held by Prescia's old friend, Jail. Jail is a crazy scientist who specializes in making Combat Fatimas, he is known as the best Fatima Meister in Midchilda. This Gala will serve as a way for him to both showcase his new series of Fatimas, as well as to get more buyers and investors, he even promises to show everyone the Ultimate Fatima.
Prescia accepts the invitation despite not liking Humanoid Fatimas that much, and drags Fate along with her just so she can see her Godfather again after so long. There are many important people at that Gala as well, such as Cindy and her son Chrono, 2 high-ranking members of the military, Cindy also being an old friend of Prescia's, Chrono is also happy to see Fate again, he haven't seem her ever since his wedding to Amy, where Fate participated as a Bridesmaid.
Hayate, the sole heir to the Belkan empire and the one responsible for it's rebirth, is also at the Gala, as she wants to see the new Fatimas Jail created, she has 4 Fatimas with her, the Wolkenritter, 4 very powerful Combat Fatimas that are passed down generation to generation in Belkan Royalty. Fate can't help but feel jealous of Hayate.
Prescia being Prescia, makes fun of Hayate, saying that it's a known fact that the Queen has an weird attraction to Fatimas, and that it's possible that she is banging the Wolkenritters. Fate tells her mother to be nice, she doesn't want the Ritters to hear her cruel words. Prescia doesn't care about that, to her all belkans are trash.
As Jail's presentation goes on, he showcases and sells 5 different Fatimas, one of them being Subaru, who was sold the youngest Daughter of the Lanstar family, Teana.
After all the remaining Fatimas are sold, Jail finally shows the promised "Ultimate Fatima". The most advanced model he has ever seen. He shows said Fatima on her knees inside a glass case, a beautiful girl with long hazel hair, wearing what looks like a pimped out Wedding dress. Fate recognizes that Fatima, it's Nanoha, now all grown up, this entire time her long-lost friend was a Fatima, and she didn't even knew.
Fate gets up and calls out for Nanoha, the imprisioned Fatima opens her eyes and immediatly recognizes the Blonde girl, it's Fate, her dearest friend. She breaks through the glass, to the shock of everyone, and rushes towards Fate, shedding her dress and jumping on Fate's arms, the 2 friends crying after they are reunited.
Jail is in shock as he tough he and his Fatimas had already "educated" Nanoha on how to behave as a proper Fatima, she shouldn't have been able to rebel like that.
Hayate finds Nanoha really beautiful, and starts making plans to obtain her from Fate, asking Shamal to keep her updated on Nanoha's development.
Prescia is pissed that a Humanoid Fatima is hugging her only surviving daughter, but can't help but feel relief in seeing that Nanoha is alright, as she has known her ever since she was a child. Although she wonders how Shiro and Tomo got their hands on a young Fatima. She will investigate it later.
Jail orders Fate to give Nanoha back to him, he needs to sell her, but Fate refuses, saying that Nanoha is not a fancy toy to be sold to the highest bidder, and she will fight for her.
Jail wants to take Nanoha back by force, but realizes he can analyze how the advanced Fatima performs on a MH piloted by someone she genuinely likes. He let's her keep Nanoha, under the condition that she allows him to analyze Nanoha every 2 months so he can further study her development.
Fate agrees and runs off with Nanoha.
The Xover would follow the adventures of Fate and Nanoha as they uncover the mysteries of who made the latter and how Shiro and Tomoko got a hold of her when she was young, meanwhile having to fight off people who want the most advanced Fatima to themselves.
