Would really appreciate any advice! This happened yesterday. I’ve been living in my grandfather’s studio apartment for almost 6 months now- he lives in another city but has this apartment that he barely uses anymore as he’s getting older and doesn’t move around as much as he used to. It’s located in an area where I was able to get my dream job and he has been incredibly generous letting me live here basically rent free.
My grandpa is an art collector- he’s got ancient artifacts all over the place, and each one is incredibly precious to him, and they’re all over the house. I’m talking hundreds of years old. They’re beautiful and I make sure to take meticulous care of them. But because of them, my grandpa has never gotten the apartment properly cleaned (out of fear of this exact scenario 🥲). It’s been almost two decades since anyone lived here, and when I moved in the place was duuuuusty to say the least! I’ve managed to make it work this long, but this place needed a deep cleaning and I wanted to do this as a show of appreciation to my grandpa for letting me use the apartment as well as for my lifestyle.
So I did my research and found a service online and booked. The cleaner arrived on time with all of the supplies, and I asked him to be wary of the art. About an hour into the cleaning I hear the sound of glass breaking- I run to see what happened and I see the cleaner with the duster and one of my grandfather’s pieces basically shattered all over the ground. I must have looked really shaken because the cleaner (after apologizing) asked me if I was ok. I wasn’t. He helped me pick up the pieces because my hands were shaking. It was a nightmare.
I collected all the pieces and called my mom and told her about the situation. She told me my grandpa will know where to get it restored and that I should pay it- I completely agreed! (Have no clue how much this will be but I know it won’t be cheap). The next 5 hours of the cleaning (I had hired for 3 but the cleaner stayed longer because the place really needed it) consisted of the cleaner continuing his job very thoroughly and carefully as I cried in the other side of the apartment while holding the broken piece in my hands.
The cleaner felt terrible, and was very apologetic. I told him it’s okay and that accidents happen, which they do! I am a very clumsy person myself and I understand the pain of breaking something by accident. At the end of the cleaning I asked him if there was an insurance policy through the service for any broken items. When I asked him this he looked visibly upset and worried. I asked him to be honest with me about whether or not he would get in trouble if I reported his mistake. He nodded, and seemed kind of embarrassed to admit this to me. I didn’t want to cost the man his job or a significant amount of money, so I told him not to worry about it and that I wouldn’t say anything to the service. He was grateful and thanked me, I told him there was no need and accidents happen. The apartment is in perfect shape, and clean as it was when he bought it.
I got the invoice emailed this morning and the cleaning turned out to be 400$ total due to the extra hours- it’s almost double my original budget and I’m going to have to pay for the art restoration as well. The email included a note to report any broken items for possible compensation and I’m torn. I know I already promised the cleaner I would not say anything, but the email note and the high invoice are tempting me. I just started work and this whole situation will chew through my little savings. But I’m in a much better situation at the moment, while unfortunate, than the cleaner would be and I gave him my word. I’m upset at the idea that the cleaning service would punish their employee for a mistake, and this has made my view of them worsen.
I haven’t told my grandfather yet, as that is something I haven’t emotionally prepared for yet. I’ll try not to push it off for too long though.
So, what do I do? I feel like I’ll have to bite the bullet on this one and not report it, but I’d really appreciate anyone’s thoughts on the situation, and this has been good to vent and let it all out.

They already owned decent one but wanted change the city and the old one was rented as an further investment for parents. My husband was promised they would sell the extra apartment if he needed for starting business or other investments or needs. At this point I didn't know about who's name was in the apartment contract papers or any other details. Of course I didn't and don't have any specific details about Turkish legislation concerning marriage finances, obligations or property owning possibilities. And I trusted my in laws and their family.
Last year after my husband's hopeless diagnosis we started to talk about the inheritance issues. (I have to admit he hasn't been interested in any legal or bureaucratic issues, taxes etc. I was dealing his benefit applications and tax reports yearly.) I was asking who really owns that new apartment of parents and it's theirs. So my husband apparently never had legal rights to use money invested to that in any way, nor I as a future widow. Only obligation from parents was moral one at the most.
By the time of diagnosis there was no extra money left at my husband's bank account. Interestingly parents didn't see any need to sell the appartment after my husband's diagnosis for his medical expenses, daily expenses like nutritious food and winter clothes, dentist cost or vetenerary costs or their own flight tickets to greet his only child to give support. My husband's dream for decades was travel around Northern parts of Scandinavia and Lapland, this never happened either. I should have had two jobs to make his last year a decent and memorable one.
Now the parents and other relatives started to talk about the inheritance issues, they finally arrived to my husband's dying bed. They don't want the car or profit from selling it as act of good will but according to our inheritance law they won't anyways inherit cause my husband permanent residence was here, not in Turkey. I'm the only member of death estate.
Now the question is what was really going on in Turkey; why the leftover money was used to parents new apartment, who was behind this idea and what kind of transactions and contracts were made. I was told few weeks ago by husbands relative that he has some debt required to pay in Turkey. My husband was told and lied earlier he was financially clear in Turkey. I suspect that they was need to hide the money or property, also taxes are most likely not paid properly.
The very same relatives active and "helping" in this case will inherit my husbands parents in the future.
This has been pure torture to me in the middle of saying goodbye to my love one. My husbands relatives have been messing and planning other things too behind my back, also threats has been made.
Me, my family and friends plus health care staff consider all this as a deeply disrespectful, hurting and dishonest behavior. In Scandinavia our values and respect for human and individual rights are uncompromised.

A spider got me scared af and now I can't sleep so I am writing about Hades 2 instead.
I'll rank the gods from best to worst taking into account both balance and design which is kinda subjective but whatever. Not including duos cause there is a ton of them, I haven't gotten all of them and from what I hear most of them kinda eh anyways.

The other stuff is better though. His cast is nice, works especially well Thanatos or Demeter's Local Climate. Lighting Lance is nice, both in general and specifically with Charon (since you already want his special and his Duo with Apollo it works out nicely). Static Shock is great depending on the build. Spirit Surge is nice to have I guess with to take off the blue hearts I guess. Even his gain is situationally useful or at least not terrible (it gets worse with fear though). His Legendary, however, is a joke. Like what? 7% of adds? That's like one guy a room??? I don't even know what to say.
A special shoutout to his infusion boon though which is basically his Legendary and really fun with Demeter (and Hestia or so I hear)
Hephaestus is a great defensive god though, slightly worse than Demeter imo (though they work together great down to the complementary elements for the infusions - at least they did the 3 times I had them lol). Idk, he's cool I guess? Someone's gotta like him for more than the armor.
His Legendary is terrible though.
Other than that she's got a couple stand out boons - soot sprint gets a shoutout as the best dash imo, her cast provides a status (dem and aphro better imo though), her aimable cast boon (probably wanted Zeus instead) and I guess she has a cool Duo with Poseidon (Poseidon so busted he carries Hestia somehow lol). None of those really feel like her though tbh so it never feels like I am going for Hestia because I want Hestia. Her only not outclassed boon is the sprint. think about how down in the dumps you have to be for your contribution to be "I guess she has a status and her sprint is a bit safer."
Aight I feel calmed down enough I think I can sleep. What do you think?

I got a clio V rsline (1.0 tce 100) for almost a year now, and i am very satisfied with it, although i have a few questions of things i can or i cannot do to it. One of them is having multisense. My car is only equipped with the Eco mode button, but I've read online that it is possible to "hack it" and enable the multisense menu? Also, is there a way to also disable traction control? And what about disabling the start stop function permanently? It's very difficult to find this information online, but from what I've seen, this ECU is very hard to get to and mess with things, but i don't know if that's true.
Also, in your opinion what are the best brake disks and pads performance wise? I do not race the car, obviously it's not made for that... But I feel like sometimes it should have better braking capabilities, and i see relatively inexpensive brembo disks, was wondering if it is worth it paying the bit extra when changing disks.

In this line-up of episodes this year, we've only have three other writers that aren't Russell T Davies: Steven Moffat, Kate Herron and Briony Redman, the last two of whom have shared a script. What stuck out to me, though, was what's going on with this year's Christmas special, Joy to the World. Ever since these were made an annual occurrence with the 2005 revival, they'd always been written by whoever the incumbent showrunner was at the time. Even when they were changed to New Year's specials when Chris Chibnall became showrunner, this still rang true.
This year, though, they've shaken things up. I imagine a lot of people assumed that Davies would be writing this year's special. However, it was leaked a good bit before Series 14 began that it was Moffat who'd be doing it this year. That strikes me as odd, because it was still Davies who wrote the series opener and finale. Then again: it WAS suggested in a behind-the-scenes commentary that Boom was at one point planned to be the first, and that's another Moffat script.
What's the deal with this shake-up of the established structure? Is it to do with the Disney+ deal that was struck? Was it simply a decision made by the production crew? I'm genuinely curious.

Not sure where to turn to for help but I came across this so I’ll try here also. I’m 40 yrs old and lost my job and have been struggling to find work. I’ve exhausted my savings and now am stuck in a very rough spot. I’ve managed to find some side work that’s helped me take care of bills thank god. But when it comes to my 11 year old daughter I’ve been fighting off depression in regards to being able to get her some things that she wants. I’ve been going to the food pantries and like I said with the side work I’ve thankfully been able to keep the bills somewhat managed and not facing eviction or disconnections yet. So we’re skating by when it comes to necessities ie lights water food etc. I would be extremely grateful if by some miracle anybody could bless me with a few bucks that I would be able to treat my daughter to some things that she would really enjoy that go beyond the necessities. I’ve been trying to obtain the funds to have anything extra after bills to use for her but it’s been a losing effort as the bills exceed what I’ve been able to find. Anything that you could bless this fund with would be extremely appreciated. I’m willing to provide proof of what the fund is used for with pictures, receipts etc as I’m not asking for nor plan on using anything for myself. This request is strictly centered around my daughter and being able to surprise her with a blessing that would make her feel like she’s on cloud 9. She hasn’t asked me for anything because she is aware of our situation but I can tell by her energy that she is feeling some type of way about just getting by. I would be ever so grateful if by the grace of god someone could answer my prayers and help me to bring a huge burst of excitement to the world of a 11 year old little girl who deserves a million times more than what I’ve been able to manage to give to her. I know I’ve been doing my duty and have managed to somewhat keep the necessities under semi control but maybe this post will allow me to give her a special gift to lift her spirits and creative energies and not allow my financial struggles to bring her down into any sort of less than type feeling.
