ReviewsšHigh-Quality HD-50 Bipod for 50 BMG Rifleshttps://preview.redd.it/huba340ym34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a93810985f0310dfef3d8ef8bbd018dc563acd70 I recently tried the Accu-Tac HD-50 Bipod Black, and let me tell you, it's a sturdy and reliable companion for any shooting enthusiast. This bipod is specifically designed for heavy-duty rifles, with a center hub that offers great stability and strength. The larger arm lock lugs ensure it can withstand the recoil of a 50 BMG, which is definitely appreciated. One of the standout features for me was the ability to cant and the throw lever, which makes adjustments a breeze. The only downside I encountered was that the product description didn't explicitly mention whether the bipod had the ability to cant or not. This left me to figure it out once I had the product in hand. But overall, I'm quite pleased with this sturdy, heavy-duty bipod that will be a trusty addition to my shooting gear. šUTG Pro Recon 360 TL 7-9" MLOK Bipod: 360-Degree Swivel, Adjustable Height, and Nonslip Rubberized Foot Padshttps://preview.redd.it/gv78opdym34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=29a67b8e7103e6a65358c66dd33a7a49fc2ed696 As a reviewer, I've been using the UTG Pro Recon bipod for a while now, and it has been quite an experience. I particularly enjoy the fact that it's adjustable both in height and swivel, allowing me to set up the most stable platform for my rifle. The 3-position folding legs come in handy when I need to pack up quickly, and the lockable leg extensions ensure security. However, the rubber feet at the end of the legs do slip a bit on some surfaces, which can be quite annoying. Despite the minor inconvenience, the bipod has proven to be a reliable piece of gear, providing the stability and versatility I need for my shooting adventures. šHeavy Duty AR-10 Adjustable Swivel Bipodhttps://preview.redd.it/xhkswjpym34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dbe5c837b4af6d29a37e7d4d21543ed8db63ea06 I recently tried out the Tac Shield Heavy Duty Pivoting Bi-Pod, and honestly, it's been a game-changer in my shooting setup. The adjustable shooting heights make it perfect for uneven terrain, thanks to the pivoting design and quick adjustment pivot lever. The precision tension leg locks are a nice touch, ensuring a secure fit no matter what surface I'm on. What really stood out to me, though, were the reinforced tension springs. These bad boys have made a significant difference when it comes to durability. I love how sturdy and reliable they feel, and I can tell that they're built to last. The ribbed grip caps on the bottom legs also add a touch of convenience, providing a steady and secure rest whenever I need it. The spring assist leg retraction feature is fantastic too - it makes it incredibly easy to retract the legs, and the spring return release buttons ensure a quick and positive retraction every time. All in all, this Tac Shield Heavy Duty Pivoting Bi-Pod has definitely become a staple in my shooting gear. Highly recommended! šAccu-Tac Lr-10 Spike Set for Bipodhttps://preview.redd.it/4eyi895zm34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8b52f68a7edb36b37ef1a2b160ecf53f90e57490 I've been using the Accu-Tac Lr-10 Spike Set as an essential part of my shooting accessory routine, and let me tell you, it's been an absolute game-changer. The sleek flat black design complements my bipod nicely, while the CNC machined and black oxide treatment ensures a sturdy build. One of the best features I've found with this set is the incredibly quick and easy spike change. Changing from rubber feet to steel spikes in mere seconds is a massive timesaver, especially when I'm in a hurry to get back to shooting. The steel spikes provide the perfect grip on soft surfaces without causing any damage. While there are no cons to speak of in my experience, I would like to point out that this product has a compact size, fitting nicely in my gear bag. However, it might not appeal to those who require a larger set of spikes. Overall, the Accu-Tac Lr-10 Spike Set has made a significant difference in my shooting experience, and I've been recommending it to fellow gun enthusiasts ever since I first gave it a go. If you're looking for a reliable, easy-to-use, and efficient bipod accessory - look no further. šHigh-Grade Bipod Spikes for Accu-Tac SR-5 & BR-4 Bi-Podshttps://preview.redd.it/bb08yghzm34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d42bb516e37a3d957f87f154d4e3d8a24ebb5c28 I've been using Accu-Tac's spike set for my SR-5/BR-4 bi-pod, and it's been a game changer for my outdoor adventures. These steel spikes provide unbeatable traction on dirt or any soft surfaces, making them perfect for my prone position on grass. Their sleek CNC machined and black oxide treated design not only adds a touch of style, but also ensures durability. One of the standout features is the simple screw-on design, which allows me to switch between rubber feet and steel spikes in a matter of seconds. This quick transformation comes in handy when I need to adapt to different terrains or environments. However, there are a couple of cons to consider. The spikes might slightly scratch your bi-pod's surface when installing or removing, so be cautious. Additionally, you might need to tighten the screws securely to prevent them from coming loose during use. Overall, Accu-Tac's spike set for the SR-5/BR-4 bi-pod is a reliable and practical accessory, enhancing your outdoor experience. 2024.06.02 07:37 toadsgoat The Kamilla V repost cause the kamilla v post i did is old and not as interesting as it could be
The Kamilla V is a Karelian superheavy tank, designed in early mid 1941 into late 1943, before being produced in the beginning of 1944 trialed through early 1944 and entering service by mid 1944, with 3 of them being produced in that time, the tank would see multiple improvements of tank design throughout its design period, such as a range finder, a dual axis stabilizer aswell as a gas turbine engine, while the range finder is a good addition, Karelian scopes were very well designed to help the gunner figure out ranges with lines to indicate the size of a vehicle and numbers to indicate what range that could be, this was made during the early stages of the war using other Karelian tanks as a basis, which worked well as tank s at that time were around the same size as eachother, though in the later stages they use both captured and destroyed enemy vehicles to make these scopes. submitted by toadsgoat to SprocketTankDesign [link] [comments] Kamilla V 1 after trials The reason as to why the Kamilla V was designed was because of the rising Talapovian heavy tanks that were gaining more and more armour and more powerful guns, The Kamilla V was a statement that the Karelian military was more then capable of making a counter that is better in almost everyway, the armour of the Kamilla V may have been only slightly thicker then that of the Tiger 2, 160mm across the hull and turret front sloped on the front plate at 64 degrees effectively being at its highest 460mm thick and at its lowest 390mm thick, while the lower plate was abit weaker with its highest effective thickness being 300 and its lowest being 270 and with the tracks over the top the thickness was 370+ though the tracks were made of rubber not only to make it quieter but to give it better grip aswell the tracks over the lower plate is more of a bluff rather then actual protection, the armour on the front of the turret was 160 sloped at 64 degrees with the turret cheeks being 145mm effectively making them 1360mm thick front on, even without the turret facing front on the cheeks were still relatively strong, the side of the tank was 130 sloped at 35 degrees making 160mm thick aswell as the lower side being 135mm thick though with the side skirts it was 160 aswell, the turret side was 145 sloped at 30 degrees, the rear was 125mm over all its armour was significant being able to block antitank rifles RPGs and shots from light tanks, to the side, the only weakspot of the tank was its mantlet, being only 210mm thick during its early days, this weakness would cause them to be out of action untill breach replacement or repair, or they would explode if a round was in the chamber, but through this the mantlet would go up to 280mm of thickness. V 2 after trials The Kamilla V's engine started as a 46L V12, with 1229 horse power, which for a 160-165 ton tank was not the best the power to weight was 7.7, taking 80 seconds to get up to its full speed of 37kms which was quite fast for this tank, as unlike the Germans the transmission that the Karelians gave the Kamilla V was actually quite good that didn't stop the engine from blowing up though, the V12 was good but it was incredibly unreliable and incredibly loud, that is when one of the designers, Sahira TafirĆ¼ the head engine designer suggested a gas turbine engine, the King Thratuus Ćdam said to her. "a gas turbine engine? tell me more" The turbine would have its design done by mid late 1943 where it would be tested untill production of the Kamilla V, where it would be found that the engine would run incredibly hot causing it to be set ablaze, this required the Kamilla V to have substantial cooling with 6 fans and 4 vents, which sufficiently cooled the engine, it was a major upgrade from its predecessor getting the tank up to 41kms an hour, getting up to speed in less then half the time it took the V12 to, with 1639 horse power or 9.9 per ton at its heaviest of 165 ofwhich the weight increase is due to side armour increases to 135 on the upper side and 150 on the cheeks aswell as the mantlet armour, the engine was still loud but it got quieter over longer distances, so while it may have been louder close up, further away it was much quieter. V3 after trials The Kamilla V throughout its service, gained a reputation, Infamy, if you will, the gun of the Kamilla V would go down in infamy as one of if not the most feared gun, of WW2 the 8.5 meter long rifled 125mm Greta cannon was the most powerful tank gun made by the Karelians, rivalling the APDS of tanks such as the Leopard 1 and T54, with its Tungsten tipped armour piercing with 363mm of penetration and a velocity of 1103 meters a second along with its APHEBC with 292mm of penetration and 965 grams of TNT mass, using 550 grams of FVC which is equal to about 1.7 grams of TNT, the APHE had a faster velocity of 1259 meters a second, able to snipe from across 2 or 3 or even 5 kilometers away and do it confidently, just the sound of the gun firing boosted the morale of any soldiers rounded it, as they knew when they hear the sound of the 125mm Greta that's one less enemy tank on the field, as the APHE had so much explosive mass that it would just blow up enemy tanks, like a grenade, but with this infamy came confidence, too much confidence, as Karelian crews would just aim and shoot at an enemy tank nomatter what, which would lead to the destruction of multiple Kamilla's though sometimes the can come back from this and score the kill anyways. https://preview.redd.it/oq0j5miah34d1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=161f1902af3b20208ab4b4c9a8d97cc2cfecd066 In total 50 Kamilla V's would be produced, with 25 of them being destroyed, which were huge losses, as most Kamilla V's were crewed by only the best Karelia had to offer, though the first 3 of them defied the odds and managed to make it out alive, the kill to death ratio of the Kamilla V is argued very highly amongst historians, but the most common number is about 1-70 which includes engagements against both Talapovia and Minandoria, many sought to hunt Kamilla V's, especially V 1 2 and 3, many failed, the Kamilla V would live forever in infamy and forever be feared by those who lived to tell the tale. |

2024.06.02 06:19 TheRealBeauDiddlie My Mw3 zombies Loadouts.
Retribution is a reference to the walking dead saints and sinner ch 2 game due to the Gilbert chain and the chainsaw attachment. I left the decal on there for a cool UAV look. submitted by TheRealBeauDiddlie to mw3zombies [link] [comments] Deaths boomstick has no reference I just thought it was a cool name. I also wanted a good weapon to have my favorite color scheme and this was it. Iām glad how it turned out. The Mors sniper was a very fun gun to use it almost made me think of the scavenger wonder weapon from black ops zombies. Thatās where the hyena name comes. The wsp stingers are a very good choice for a dual wielding weapon combo. I enjoyed it a lot I called it my favorite pistol in zombies and named them after my favorite character from the rebooted mw series. Even tho I havenāt used these enough and properly the TYRs had a very nice color scheme I couldnāt pass it up. I named them after 2 famous cowboy actors John Wayne and Sam Elliott. Feel free to give these loadouts a try and feel free to recommend me some of your favorites. |

2024.06.02 06:11 Cardholderdoe My middling furiosa review, tagged for spoilers.
Our biggest complaint by a mile is just... the movie is too long for what it is. Just way too long. There are several sections that could have been cut/trimmed in the beginning and middle that are just... there and heavily extended for no reason we could see. The biggest example I can give is that I had to use the bathroom shortly after the Rictus bit where he had taken her away from the other wives just before she goes full "pretending to be a boy" and they start building the war rig. I made a point to look at my phone while I was in the bathroom cause I thought things had probably gone on for a while by that point, and I was right. We were an hour and 10 minutes into the movie and the main character wasn't even an adult yet.
That's more of an example than the whole breadth of the issue, but that is a crazy amount of time for a prequel movie. There are loads of examples that would have covered what the movie had by that time in... 15 minutes if you were being drastic and 30 if you really wanted to explore the space. 45 if you wanted to go really above and beyond.
Another example we could think of was the action sequence with the horned warrior going rogue. This action sequence is in our opinion, probably the best the movie has to offer. It's the closest to the Fury Road style of action beats, has outstanding cinematography, a great story is told visually over the entire section. It's arguably the best 10-15 mins of the movie...
And yet it required an absurd amount of set up to get there involving a lot of characters that aren't really central to the plot at all. It's main point in the movie is to show how competent Furiosa is by that point and hit on her motives of "still getting home". It also sets up Praetor Jack as a mentoquasi love interest by the end of it and shows how she "earned" her spot in the convoy crew.
But the set up to get there primarily rotates around the Horned Warrior and why he decided to go rogue on Dementus, which earned probably 10-15 minutes of runtime beforehand to get to that point for a character who ultimately should kind of barely be a footnote to the movie.
There's a similar thing that happens with most of Dementus' more prominent crew mates get establishing shots and kind of almost fleshed out backstories, only for those same crew members to have extremely segmented deaths/not really do much for the story because the script is already accounting for 2.5 hours of storytelling and having a sizable payoff just wasn't in the cards.
The other issues we had with it were... honestly what felt like plotholes at worst, or framing mistakes at best. A quick hit list-
The Place of Aboundance is shown as a very advanced society with a lot of population and a clear warning system - people can hear Furiosa's whistle and at least 10-15 are rushing into the woods at a dime, but in the end, only two people follow to engage the raiders, and only one of them continues the pursuit.
While Dementus is having Jack drug for "his crimes", there's an establishing shot of Furiosa chained to the big rig, jack is being drug in a circle by one of the motorcycles, and then there is a larger motorcycle circle circling that and heckling. Somehow despite being in the center of at least one (maybe both) rings, Furiosa rips her arm off, sabotages the monster truck, steals a bike, and gets out without anyone noticing despite her being a central part (like literally, she's in the middle) to the whole affair.
There's basically no explanation as to how Dementus was able to take the bullet farm except "the king of the bullet farm was busy talking to joe about killing Dementus". This, theoretically should easily be the most heavily armed/defended of the three major stronghold cities, even if their leader isn't there. They legit just make guns/bullets, and have a very workable defensive wall with clear protocols to opening the gates. There's also... some uh... plot armor on said gate when the war rig cant back through but the monster truck rams it down after two bangs at short distance- we can chalk that one up to suspension of disbelief, but the idea that the farm didn't already have a thousand snipers ready to handle "idiots on motorcyles" hit us as off.
There were some other minor examples, and even these may have actual explanations we missed, but they're also pretty glaring on a casual watch.
Finally... we both kind of thought the max "tie in" was fairly weird/out of place except just to show "Oh hey max was here but didn't care about any of it until years later" and also to show "yes we promise tom hardy won't be coming back".
I really don't want this to come off as us not liking it, because we both agreed it was indeed a pretty good flick. It honestly has more in common with the very first film than anything else though - being a kind of biographical retelling of one person's entire life in the wasteland rather than any one event with a heavy grindhouse revenge plot... and both of those movies kind of suffer for it.
We both loved the amount of worldbuilding - I was especially geeked to see both bullet farmand gas town in the flesh. It was amazing to get an idea of what characters inhabit those worlds, although if they were already going ham, I would have preferred to see more of bullet farm's denziens.
I especially loved the new actor for younger Immortan Joe - I thought he was played expertly and was an outstanding contrast to Dementus being an upjumped minor warlord high on himself. Trading for a new "breeder" and a doctor was particularly inspired.
And it goes without saying in this franchise that the action scenes were all great. We both especially loved the aforementioned sequence with the horned warrior's crew. Despite the faults in the early sequences, the opening sequence with Furiosa getting kidnapped and her mother coming for her was also very excellent and visceral. The showdown at the Bullet Farm was also outstanding.
While slightly overdone, we both were also obviously very much loving Hemsworth hamming it up as a strong a villain as we've seen. He did great just being as over the top as possible, and we were laughing a lot - we both agreed at least some of this could have gotten cut since it seems like his character got more play than furiosa's in some ways, but the execution was outstanding and he's a great character to add to the series.
Finally, we both thought that Dementus' end was probably as cruel and fitting for this fucked up wasteland world and got a strong heavy nod.
At the same time, it felt like a very bloated production with a lot of set ups that ultimately don't feel like they go to satisfying places. In the pantheon of the franchise I probably have it tied with the original and above Thunderdome... but well well behind Fury Road and Road Warrior. Good movie, but there are very much flaws to be found.
