Additionally he made some comments regarding my last name.
I had been adopted by the man I call my dad, and took his last name, got married and divorced and took my maiden name back on - he seemed to be confused as to why I didn’t take back on HIS name.
Anyway, after going around and around in arguments that just didn’t make sense, I felt like I was in a loop; he slapped me, and (this was VERY WEIRD) stuck his fingers down my throat when I was yelling back at him. Eventually he kicked me out; he told me to never tell anybody he was my father.
So I left, changed my number and removed myself from social media - this was about 10 years ago and I went no contact.
During this time, I realized a huge abandonment wound was opened.
On my 30th birthday I sought help outside of traditional therapy and drank ayahuasca after seeing the change within my own mother when she drank it.
We have had multiple ceremonies together, all of which have helped me to diminish the hurt I had been carrying, but not the anger within me.
This month we had a mushroom ceremony together and this finally allowed me to release the anger I had still harbored.
Now:
About 4 days ago, my biological father’s mother found my phone number online from when I was a realtor. Having felt that I had let go of the trauma and pain of 10 years ago, I accepted the call, with a hope that he had done ANY self reflection and told her I would be willing to have a conversation with him.
Last night he called me. I had the phone on speaker with my partner nearby because I know bio dad’s tactics and I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t allowing my ego to flare up and get out of line to make the situation worse.
During the conversation I attempted to see the situation through his eyes and he AGAIN continued the loop of “your mother kept you from me” “you believe everything she says” “you should have picked up the phone, I tried to contact you” and told me that the things within the fight DIDNT happen. It was as if this 10 year old fight, one that I moved on from, happened THIS AFTERNOON for him.
Also during the conversation he mentioned to me that he tells my half brother that he believes me to be a survivor and he, my brother , to be weak, essentially. Why one would say that to their child I cannot comprehend.
After realizing he would never express sympathy or acknowledge any wrongdoing on his part, he asked if I was planning on having children - I am still unsure at this time, but if it happens it happens - and he asked me not to keep them from him. My hypothetical, future children. I told him I could not speak to an event that is not currently happening.
He finally ended the call with “I love you more than anything in this world and nobody will ever love you like I love you”. If that’s what love is, that’s truly TRULY frightening.
I should have never cracked the door open. I have a peaceful, wonderful, tranquil life and he thrives off of drama, hate and anger.
I am starting to feel anxious that he will expect a relationship between us.
I guess what I’m looking for is - how have others in my situation handled this?

We broke up at night, and after we cried, I cooked risotto, she cooked chocolate cake, and we just danced and laughed, enjoying eachothers presence for what we thought was the last time. We felt a deep connection that night. And after that, we kept hanging out. We kept talking, hashing out emotional shit, because I was a wreck and kept talking about it. We had more sex, the emotional intimacy came back, we laughed more. I tried to separate myself and work on myself, but seeing her make moves towards me, it was hard to continue. I kept holding on to her, but she says she still wants to be broken up. She still wants me to move out entirely.
This is just confusing me and playing with my emotions a bit. She has even said that the recent change in our relationship has made her believe that we will probably get back together eventually. She still says 'I love you' sometimes, and gives me kisses, and shows her inner child to me. How can she be experiencing all of this positive stuff in our relationship, yet still wants me to move out? She said that if she doesn't get some space from me before we get back together, she will not turn out well because she lost herself in the relationship. I somewhat understand this reasoning, but if things are improving, how can she want to move on?

First, I am forever sorry for how I handled the way you ended things with me. I know it was very difficult and it left you heart broken, having to choose what's best for you, thus walking away from me. It stuck with me when you said you felt you weren’t enough. I want to make one thing very clear, if there is anything you take away from this letter it must be this- you are NOT the reason for me not fighting for us at the time. This time apart taught me about the personal issues I have. This time apart has shown me that I lacked the inability to communicate my wants and needs in a healthy manner AND that’s why I didn’t argue or fight for us. It absolutely had nothing to do with you.
The breakup needed to happen no matter how much I did not want it to. We would have fallen out eventually. I needed you to walk away from me because I was not changing. At that time I didn’t understand myself. I didn’t understand how to process my emotions fully. I did not understand why I am able to shut my internal self off when I’m confronted with emotions and vulnerability.
It was March when I felt something deeply wrong inside of me. I could not figure it out on my own (like I usually do). So for the first time, I reached out for help. I caved and started going to therapy which is something I never believed in. When I was a child, if I was ever sad or upset or felt anything. My parents' response was to work and stay focused. That caused me to bottle up my emotions and not work on them. After some time in therapy, it was realized that I have a dismissive avoidant attachment style. I was like, what the heck does that mean? I thought the therapist was making stuff up. This is all brand new to me. It sent me down a rabbit hole of personal development and learning methods to work with other people who do not share the same attachment style as me.
I was given exercises. I was told to journal, which to my surprise gave me a sense of relief. I write about my past traumas. I write about us. I would write about how you made me feel. I’d write about being grateful and acknowledging the change. I analyzed past relationships of mine and noticed I indeed had a pattern of avoiding emotional confrontation. I’ve realized that if I didn’t work on this then I’d forever be caught in an endless cycle of heartbreak and not solving this would prevent me from achieving my biggest goal in life, and that is to be the best father I can be.
So thank you for ending things with me because without you doing so. I would not have put in the work to figure myself out.
For the first time in my life I am fully aware of my emotions. I have made peace and forgiven myself for my actions. I have also forgiven you. It took me a while to process all of my emotions regarding the break up, because of my attachment style. My mind naturally suppresses what I am feeling when I am overwhelmed. So I am sorry that it has taken me such a long time to reach out. The last few months I wanted to respect you and allow you to be yourself while allowing myself the time to process, understand, and heal. I hope from that, you realize we are completely different and I am a lot slower to process such things. But I have been workin on this and I am not doing this for you. I am doing this for me because I know what I want in life.
D, you are the first person who made me want to understand my emotions which caused me to enter this inward journey. Neither of my past 2 relationships made me do this type of work which honestly blows my mind. I feel so differently about you. I’m also glad to hear that after announcing that passing was fixed, EA acknowledges that there is still a lot of work to be done in this department. let’s hope that when you tap on the screen, the ball will get somewhere in the neighborhood of where you tap. The other game improvements that were shown seem also to be necessary. Let’s hope that every month or two there would continue to be a significant upgrade in gameplay experience, that would definitely be a good trajectory. Moving onto the bad and the ugly. The fact that EA representatives spend most of the webcast to show players STATS (as they themselves stated it is their favorite part of the webcast) is an illustration of how dire the situation of this game is. we don’t need you to read the stats. We can read the stats ourselves. But the issue that all this game has to offer is just new players with higher numbers, and I’m not even talking about the ones that come out with lower numbers, or unexplained 98 and 99 that really should be 95 or 96 if you look at their actual stats. Another thing which I find ironic is the three teams of TOTS Judging from past performance of launching something absurd and then amplifying it, should we expect five squads next year? I guess EA is aware of all the complaints and does not want further disappointments, so they decided to give everybody their favorite players in the team of the season finale. Another visible conundrum is around the goalkeeper position. In these 33 !!!!! chosen players, EA only found one goalkeeper with 97 rating? That’s it? Weird. I would say that if you launch three squads, have one goalkeeper in each, but that’s just my poor logic. silly me. I believe that the real ugly here is the fact that nothing was announced as far as making the user experience better. It’s going to continue to be tedious skill games and AI matches and untradable rewards galore. If anybody was hoping that tradable TOTS will come in an exchange, then.… not. Anyone who was expecting some changes in the market, for example, being able to sell players, will be disappointed. I had to split up with my ex and I had to move over my stuff to the other village I was moving to, so the guy from the shop who me and my mom became good friends with arranged everything with his truck and helped us move over to our houses. 2 days ago we were drinking coffee in my backyard when he suddenly started crying. I asked him what was wrong and he confessed to me that his parents arranged him a marriage to his far cousin. Whenever they talked about it in home he would say I have to go, and ran out of the house. He doesn't love the girl and says that if his father was still alive he would just have to tell him this and his father would understand. His mom, not so much. She's been grieving his fathers death in a unhealthy way and the only thing she looks forward to now is the wedding of him and his far cousin.
I was shocked as this is not that common here anymore. He kept on crying and I just comforted him the best way I could. He confessed he was in love with me from the first day he saw me walk into the shop but never said anything as I was in a relationship.
He wants to come clean to his family but is scared his mom is not going to forgive him as his mom has already been calling and planning with the mom of the girl.
What do I do? Do I stay around waiting or do I distance myself to protect myself? I never met someone as compassionate as him and im scared he is going to go for the hapiness of his mom instead of his own. so i came out when i was 14, just as i was starting hs and people around me were completely changing (i was active on this sub before that and i literally havent been on queer reddit since). its been 2 years and most of my friends either never knew me as a guy or found out i was trans before being able to have an image of me as a guy. everyone around me (excluding my family and like school and stuff) knows im trans and like either accept me as a girl/transfem or kinda ignore it if were not that close. i relatively rarely get deadnamed or blatantly misgendered, i often dont present as like full on a girl but i am usually acting/dressing femininely. so basically i have almost fully socially transitioned.
but i sometimes regret it. as you probably noticed i started from when i came out and not from when i realised i was trans or started questioning or something like that... thats because i dont remember it. like i said i remember ranting abt it on subs like here or lgbteenagers or nestofeggs but i dont remember what i was actually feeling and thinking (i deleted all those posts but it was on this acc so i probably could find them but idk). so basically idk why im trans, i dont remember being a cis guy and hating it. i cant explain how it feels to be dysphoric as a closeted transfem. which you might think is great because that means i get to base my transness on euphoria rather than dysphoria but i dont feel euphoric either, i hate my body even more as ive been on natural t for like 6 years, dressing up with womens clothes makes me feel disgusting and look more like a man, being gendered correctly either is just what im used to or makes me feel like a fraud, all along im way more dysphoric than i was before i came out and thats suspicious imo
what if the sense of feeling seen comes from having grown up? what if i hate being seen as a guy bc it makes me feel like i "failed"? what if im just afraid of admitting im wrong and creating false narratives of dysphoria in my head to prove my point?
its getting close to be 3 years since i socially transitioned and the thought of getting to the next step (ie. coming out to my parents, trying to get on hrt...) is HORRIFYING even though i have no reason to be afraid, i have supportive friends, i live in the best place to be queer in my country, im mostly sure my parents would be supportive too but i think to myself, everything ive done and i do in the name of transitioning has brought me more pain than relief, so why should i do even more? what if i would be more happy (or less depressed) as a somewhat gender non conforming cis guy or non binary without the transfem stuff? its not like being a transfem makes me feel good

but i sometimes regret it. as you probably noticed i started from when i came out and not from when i realised i was trans or started questioning or something like that... thats because i dont remember it. like i said i remember ranting abt it on subs like here or lgbteenagers or nestofeggs but i dont remember what i was actually feeling and thinking (i deleted all those posts but it was on this acc so i probably could find them but idk). so basically idk why im trans, i dont remember being a cis guy and hating it. i cant explain how it feels to be dysphoric as a closeted transfem. which you might think is great because that means i get to base my transness on euphoria rather than dysphoria but i dont feel euphoric either, i hate my body even more as ive been on natural t for like 6 years, dressing up with womens clothes makes me feel disgusting and look more like a man, being gendered correctly either is just what im used to or makes me feel like a fraud, all along im way more dysphoric than i was before i came out and thats suspicious imo
what if the sense of feeling seen comes from having grown up? what if i hate being seen as a guy bc it makes me feel like i "failed"? what if im just afraid of admitting im wrong and creating false narratives of dysphoria in my head to prove my point?
its getting close to be 3 years since i socially transitioned and the thought of getting to the next step (ie. coming out to my parents, trying to get on hrt...) is HORRIFYING even though i have no reason to be afraid, i have supportive friends, i live in the best place to be queer in my country, im mostly sure my parents would be supportive too but i think to myself, everything ive done and i do in the name of transitioning has brought me more pain than relief, so why should i do even more? what if i would be more happy (or less depressed) as a somewhat gender non conforming cis guy or non binary without the transfem stuff? its not like being a transfem makes me feel good
obviously i could talk more but people complain my posts are like walls of texts so im keeping it to the point, im curious to see if this is just common anxiety among trans people or a sign that this might not be for me.

It is here to share ideas and motivate each other to take some time out of our busy schedule to RECHARGE. We are living in a time period that is filled with so many distractions that take us out of the present moment, and I want this post to remind you to do something for yourself this weekend. Recharge your battery because after all we cannot pour from an empty cup. Many of us work long hours at work, have families to take care of, and have a million other obligations. This makes it way too easy to forget to dedicate time in your day for YOURSELF. When reading this, I hope you are filled with motivation to dedicate 10 minutes or even a whole day doing activities you enjoy or activities that are healthy for you. Here are several examples of self-care ideas!
1. Nature for the win! - Take a walk somewhere new with your phone on airplane mode. If you find yourself drifting off into thought that is focusing on a past negative situation or worrying about an event that is coming up, try counting all the new items in your surroundings that you have never noticed before. Do whatever you can to keep yourself in the walk instead of letting the mind trap you into a daydream that is causing stress.
2. Exercise! - One of the healthiest things we can do to help our body and mind is taking out time in your day to be active. I personally love to run. It is difficult getting started, but once I get ten minutes into my run, I get in the zone. Afterwards, I feel like a new person! If you are someone that really struggles with finding the motivation to exercise, start small! Even if you only watch a five - minute workout video on YouTube, at least it is a start! You can DO this!
3. Sleep is Key! - Set your-self up for success and plan out a peaceful nighttime ritual that will help you fall asleep earlier while dedicating 7-8 hours of your night to sleep. Try not to let a screen rule your night with a scroll that keeps you up till 3am. Remember, you are in control! Without a good night’s sleep, chances are your anxiety, depression, or any other mental health items you struggle with will be much worse the next day.
4. Start a new hobby! - Try something you have never done before such as journaling, hiking, biking, reading a new book series, taking time to meditate, etc.
5. Get excited! - Watch a motivational video that makes you want to achieve your dreams.
6. Have a date night…With YOURSELF! - Go out to eat by yourself even if it feels weird and plan a drive or walk to somewhere new after.
7. Can’t have a post without a gratitude reminder! - Think about all the things you are grateful for. Then go the extra mile by calling up someone you care about and telling them you appreciate their presence in your life.

all my emotions besides anger feel muffeled, i never feel truly happy. whenever im out on vacation somewhere i dont enjoy myself, i dont have the ability to look at the beautiful landscape around me and truly admire it, because to me its the same as a 2d image on my phone. i dont have the ability to sit in a beautiful garden and admire the smells, the way the sunrays feel on my skin. i feel so distracted and disoriented all the time, my head hurts when i think too hard and my mind is foggy. i just simply wasn't given the same cards in life, and im not going to suffer through this unequal existence. most people really do have something to live for, even if they have no friends, family, they still have the chance to experience life. my life would be perfect if i could actually live, but im not alive because how can you call this living? im a walking zombie, my consciousness is dead and i feel like my brain is rotting. i tried everything ive had 5 therapists and none of them were able to make it better
i dont have friends, barely have any family, and in general no one would care if i died
nothing will ever change, and the only option for me is to fucking kill myself
