Advice for regular farming
So as you can see I have hit the limit at T12. I was taking advantage of milestones to rapidly increase my coin supply. I’m at the point now where progression is slowed and I’m trying to get my coins and I believe the community calls them doritos to advance further.
Im relying on death ray, orbs, and thorns to push high waves but any advice on changing my build is appreciated. My main question though is what is the best way to consistently get coins for time spent? If I do tier 1 I have it run overnight since it takes so long, others I can manage throughout the day.

2024.05.28 20:29 Jimbryan Somewhat scammed but no proof?

Okay, first few points. I was young and very dumb. This happened back in 2020 Please let me know if this is the wrong sub to be asking this.
Basically I had a business partner online that would help me buy merchandise to resell, mostly sneakers. After a while I found that my cards were being charged for products I wasn’t receiving. Soon later he ghosted me on everything and cut off any form of contact. Even went as far as deleting social media accounts. Basically he used my cards and put me in a very good amount of debt. I have no proof of this and I did try paying some accounts off through debt services. My question is do I have no hope and have to pay that all off or can I fight it? Is there lawyers that could help me sort this out? Is there anyway out of this hole to fix my credit or do I have to go the long way and pay it off as I go?

2024.05.28 20:29 Beneficial-Second-60 Disability Verification Form

Hey, if anyone has filled out / been approved with this form before, I have a questions that's kinda worrying me...
At the beginning of Part B, it's stated (in bold) that if any parts or fields are left blank, the student will not be approved for an OSAP disability...that sounds pretty absolute. So, my doctor filled out all the parts in Part B, and checked off the ADHD-related cognitive impairments in Question 6 (I believe); however, she's a walk-in doctor and was probably rushed for time so she just skipped over the box where it says "Describe Impairments".
Usually doctors do that when they have nothing else to add beyond what was described in the related check boxes, but I'm really worried after reading that part above...and of course it's too late because I've already paid her and uploaded the document.
I could be over-thinking it, but I really need to get this approved for personal reasons, so if anyone has experience with this form and what happened with them, I'd really appreciate hearing it.
Thanks!

2024.05.28 20:29 BobsFuruncle CPA - what to look for?

I'm a 29 year-old business owner, and although I'm not yet fat, I hope this is still the best relevant sub to post my question. I'm in the fortunate position of just now reaching a point where my business is really taking off. I feel like I'm doing most of the tax tricks I know how to do (s-corp distributions, PTET-deduction, depreciating assets, writing off all business expenses, etc...) We're actually even building a vacation short-term rental right now that I plan to accelerate the depreciation on to help offset some business income this year.
I am currently working with a local CPA who I've been with for the past two years, but he is more of a tax guy, and I feel like not necessarily a "strategy" guy. I usually feel like with our current CPA I am always the one reaching out to him asking about a certain idea or strategy that I have. He's not really giving me much advise at tax time. It's more "here's what you have to pay, sign here please." To give you some numbers for context:
Last year we did about 750k revenue and 340k profit, and this year I am on track to triple that. I am the sole owner, so all profits are taken as a distribution. I pay myself a $10k per month salary. I do have a spouse as well who works part time with a much lower income. Our monthly burn rate is about $10-12k, so I am saving most of this money right now and looking for opportunities to put it to work.
Now that I am about to break into the 7-figure range for revenue and profit, I can't help but wonder if there are more levers that I can be pulling. Is there a certain threshold where more "tricks" exist? I want to make sure I can leverage the business ownership as much as possible for any potential benefits, and I feel like I of course don't know what I don't know. If there are more tricks, what is the best way to find the right kind of tax strategist or CPA to work with? Initially, I just called local firms and got some word-of-mouth recommendations from some other people that live around me, but feel like it might not necessarily be the best long-term fit. Or maybe it is the right fit for my taxes, but perhaps I still need a strategist. I guess both could co-exist.
What kind of things should I look for as the business continues to grow? Do things change for 8-figure vs 7-figure businesses? 9-figure? What do you recommend for me now?
Thanks,

Personally, i absolutely hate accounting, but i am fine with finance/marketing and/or any other specializations thay the program offers. But i’ve heard that schulich is mostly good for accounting, is it worth accepting schulich with this hatred for accounting in mind? Or should i just go with Laurier BBA or McMaster business ss at that point.

2024.05.28 20:28 gondorle Believers VS Charlatans - Pick your Poison!

TL;DR: Choosing between a true believer in ancient religious myths and a pretender, both deeply hurt rationality and progress. We need leaders who embrace reality and science, not bloody fairy tales, to steer us toward a sane and sustainable future. Don't torture your child's mind with religion.
(...)
I am constantly debating with myself about a myriad of subjects, and there’s this one question that haunts my dreams, constantly gnawing at my sanity. Despite countless sleepless nights pondering it, I still haven’t found an answer, even though one has many examples to choose from and analyse.
Ever felt like you’re stuck choosing between the lesser of two evils, or to put it more colourfully, picking between the plague and cholera?
On one hand, you’ve got a leader who genuinely thinks Earth is a youthful 6,000 years old, governed by some very peculiar invisible deity. On the other, a savvy politician who pretends to swallow this cosmic fairy tale just to score some more votes.
Both options are tied to outdated beliefs, one by genuine conviction, the other by sheer and mad opportunism. The true believer might let religious dogma drive decisions, raining holy proverbial fire over scientific facts. The charlatan, while not a true believer, is more than happy to perpetuate these myths to stay in power, devoid of any real moral compass.
Which poison would you pick? The zealot who lets ancient myths dictate policy, or the manipulator who pretends to believe in nonsense for power? Both are a threat to rationality and critical thinking, pushing agendas that crumble under scrutiny and evidence, of course.
Imagine a leader making decisions based on the brilliant idea that dinosaurs walked with humans, and the Grand Canyon was carved out in a week or so.
Policies shaped by such beliefs could undermine education, science, and progress in every field from medicine to technology. Think about the implications of someone in power who sees natural disasters as divine retribution rather than issues requiring rational solutions.
In contrast, the cynical opportunist knows it’s all hogwash, but uses these beliefs to manipulate the masses. This leader might be slightly more pragmatic, but ultimately lacks integrity. They’ll say anything to remain in power, perpetuating ignorance and superstition because it’s politically convenient. This kind of leader might avoid direct conflict with scientific facts, but won’t hesitate to sacrifice truth for personal gain.
Wouldn’t it be smarter to pick a leader who isn’t tethered to these irrational beliefs? Someone who relies on science and reason, not archaic myths that hinder progress in everything we do? A leader who sees the world as it is, not as a fantastical battleground between good and evil dictated by unseen forces?
Faith, a realm separate from reason, leads to absurd politics. Consider the doomsday enthusiasts yearning for the end times, for example.
This mindset doesn’t just contradict the principles needed for a sustainable civilisation; it spreads a nihilistic, sadomasochistic, faith-based outlook that hampers solving important global problems.
If a significant portion of the population believes the world is ending soon, what incentive is there to address climate change, poverty, or healthcare?
Alarmingly, these views aren’t fringe; they’re central to political debates. If we see ourselves as pawns of a divine will, how can we confront real moral questions or rethink our decisions? The ideal leader should be driven by enlightened compassion, facts, and humility before the world’s complexities.
Do we really want to entrust our future to those who prefer invisible deities over solid evidence?
The answer is a definitive no, but what, then, is truly essential for the survival of our civilization, and to prevent our planet from annihilating us?
Education that ignites critical thinking and a deep understanding of human complexity and our vast, ancient universe.
The top priority must be stopping the religious indoctrination of children, ensuring they grow up not suffocated by old virgins telling them they are going to hell.
However, this isn’t just about choosing a leader; it’s about charting a course for humanity—firmly grounded in reality, and prepared to face the challenges of our era with clarity and courage.

2024.05.28 20:28 AliGIndawar Job Opportunities for CS?

Hello I am considering transferring to Temple and I would like to know what job prospects along with what the CS program is like at Temple.
Questions: 1. How well is the CS Program? 2. Is it likely I would be able to land a good job after graduating with a CS from Temple? And how often do people get MAANG or Big 4 internships during their undergraduate years? 3. Can the Fox Business school help connect me to companies like the Big 4 for SWE or Cybersecurity roles? 4. What are the career fairs like and what companies show up? Do places like Google, Amazon or Apple show up? 5. What was your process like as an undergraduate CS major and do you like where you are working now?

2024.05.28 20:28 ashlyelth over a year without services??

i bought a new car in april of 2023. it only had seven miles when i purchased it. because it is a new car, i wanted to take good care of it. i’ve been washing it regularly and keeping it clean. well i called my dealership to request a detail. i didn’t know you had to have oil changes and tire rotations regularly. i have almost 13k miles since last year. i have an appointment to get both taken care of at the end of june. it’s a 2023 nissan versa with almost 13k miles and zero oil changes/zero tire rotations.
my questions: will my car be okay? how often are oil changes needed? idk what happens if you don’t change your oil but i don’t want to break my car lol
if i drove it as is for 13k, wouldn’t i have to drive it for another 13k to “even out” the tires? then after that how often do i get a rotation?
someone said something also about the gas i have been using. should i be using premium or unleaded? what’s the difference?
is there anything else i should be doing to my car regularly? it’s a brand new car and i want to take good care of it so it will last a long time but honestly i’m literally just a girl and could use some help:’)

2024.05.28 20:27 Ryuk-Metalto I am afraid (Update)

A few day ago I posted this story on my main account (posting again here, cause my friends know my main account):
I don't know what to do
So, you're gonna need some content first to understand what I'm willing to express.
About 3 years ago I met a beautiful girl, she talked to me alot and we quickly became friends and life was good.
Then, about Winter '22 things changed, we kinda separated, but still chatted from time to time and stayed friends. In that whole time I Fell in a deep hole I couldn't get out of.
And my life stayed like this for like the whole of '22 up until August, when we started to text again through a mutual friend and it felt like no time had passed.
But after August it was like Winter again. No contact, just some chatting.
Fast forward to November and there was just that little contact, but in November she got a boyfriend and she kind of distanced herself from me and a friend of mine (he is a childhood friend of hers and important for later in the story).
When December rolled around, life got sadder and sadder and I really missed her, but I didn't have enough courage to tell her.
In the first three months of march it was again just our usually 'How's life going' chats but at the end of march I finally had enough courage to ask her to finally meet at her place (we used to do that nearly every week in '21 on wednesdays) and I was really excited.
It went well, we chatted more often, but not for long
End of April, beginning of May she again distanced herself and I thought, that it would be a better idea to just end that whole thing before it could hurt me even further.
And so I did. I texted her (which I deeply regret, I should've just met her in person) and ended things. And from then on we went separate ways, but we said some nasty things at each other after I ended things, she said I was the cause of problems, I said she was, the usually teen Drama if you will.
I fell in a deep hole again. Tried to end my life. I was so down I wasn't eating, wasn't sleeping and distanced myself from everyone.
This continued for about 2 months, but after that I kinda had coped at least a bit, but I was still sad.
In September, I decided I wanted things to change. I lost about 44lbs up until now and am still trying to become a better person. I go to the Gym and try to make things change for me.
And there come the Events of today. The childhood friend of hers (with whom I'm good friends as mentioned before) and her go on vacation together every year.
And today he told me, that they talked about the mess of events last year, and that she really regrets the things she said to me and wishes to properly talk about it. (For context, I told my friend, that I felt no hatred against her in any way, it just went bad for me).
Furthermore, she wants to meet again with me and said friend, to finally make things up.
I don't know what to do. I made such good progress, and I am afraid I might fall back into that hole if I continue that path. On the other hand I really missed her company, though I never admitted it.
I'm open for questions, or just some tips on what to do, as I don't know myself, so go ahead.
Update:
So, about half an hour ago I managed to talk to her (I nearly died from nervousness) and she confirmed the things my friend told me. She wants to talk in person. I think it is better in person too.
But I am really afraid. Those past few days I have been extremely nervous and when messaging her I was extremely anxious. For context, our falling out was about a year ago and this was about the first time texting her since then.
I kind of made myself forget most of the past year, but I now have those memories floating in me again.
It feels weird. But we agreed on not talking about it with our friends, the only third person involved is our mutual friend.
Gonna update again when we've met

2024.05.28 20:27 imhereforthethreads Types of barre

For the past 6 months I've been taking a class at my gym (full gym not Barre specific) that was called Barre. It has three different instructors and it felt like each class was completely different based on the instructor. I joined this subreddit to hopefully understand Barre better, but Ive actually become more confused. I don't know the difference between pure Barre, Barre 3, align, empower, classic, and the seemingly endless variety of barre subsets that seem to exist.
So my first question is this: I really enjoy one of the instructors who leads a class that has a lot of ballet movement, great repetition for a good burn, and an overall intensive workout that makes me sweat and feel like I got a good workout. I'm not a huge fan of Pilates and prefer more ballet and yoga movement over Pilates movement. What kind of barre would fit such a description.
Follow up to that question, we're having a baby in about a month (yay). Which sadly means I won't be back at the gym for the next six months (not until she can hold her head up independently.) That means if I'm going to do any Barre, it has to be from home. Based on what I said above about the kind of barre I like to do, is there an online forum (Instagram, YouTube, or Barre studio with paid classes) that would allow me to continue working out at home?

2024.05.28 20:27 danman5 Traveling to the US as a Visitor

Hey everyone I just have a question regarding my situation. So I am a Canadian and current F1 student. I completed my program on April 26th and I left the US within my 60 day grace period. I am currently back in Canada. I start my new program in July and will have to fill out a change in education level I-20.
I know that once I receive my new I-20, I won’t be able to enter the US as an F1 student until 30 days before my program start date.
Now, I’m planning to go back to the US next weekend for a wedding. I was wondering if I can still enter the US as a visitor prior to receiving my new I-20.
I appreciate any help! Thanks

2024.05.28 20:27 evanmschultz Seeking Feedback on Custom-Fit Athletic Clothing Company Using AR

I am exploring a business idea and need input.
Problem: Personally I have an unusual body shape. I have a thin athletic build with a long torso and short legs, and it’s nearly impossible to find clothes that fit well. Custom tailoring is too expensive, time-consuming, and unreasonable.
Idea:
• Custom-Fit Clothing: Outdoor and performance wear tailored to your measurements.
• Augmented Reality (AR): Use AR to get accurate body measurements and see how clothes fit before buying, like trying them on in store but through your phone.
• Customization: Choose fit, materials, and colors.
Questions:
  1. Would you buy custom fitted athletic/outdoor clothing, and/or do you think it is a viable company idea?
  2. Would you use AR for custom-fitted athletic clothing?
  3. What challenges do you see with this concept?
  4. Are there any features or ideas that would help make the idea better?
Your feedback is really helpful and appreciated. Thanks!

2024.05.28 20:27 Spiffynitsua_V2 [QUESTION] I was never sent the information to sign up for workplace health coverage

As of 1/12/24 I started a new job in the state of Ohio. In any normal case with this company, every employee is eligible to enroll following the first two months of their date of employment. I was never sent the email or postcard for enrollment, and I didn't find out until it was too late that it was too late. My wife and I are in desperate need of coverage and aren't able to wait until the next enrollment period. I've emailed the person in charge of this department and she says that there's nothing she can do about late enrollment. I suppose my question is, is there actually anything I can do to get the coverage I need? If my neighbor agrees, is it illegal to change my address to theirs and say that is a life event?

2024.05.28 20:27 MrsOzera Why did 1K not have to defy ELOHIM?

I just started The Talos Principle 2 and been playing a few hours. A question has been nagging me.
If Athena was created as the first human by defying ELOHIM and climbing the tower, why doesn’t 1K have to do this? The “tutorial” area in the dream space seemed to just be about solving puzzles. Did the need for the independence test eventually not exist anymore?

2024.05.28 20:27 newbeginnings8363 Is it a bad idea to alter my dress to the length of a pair of high heels if I predict I’ll slip into flats later in the night?

I bought a pair of 4-inch, chunky, silver heels that I’m absolutely obsessed with and would loooove to wear for at least part of my wedding. However, I rarely wear high heels so I’m not sure how long I’ll be able to handle them. I’ve been wearing them around the house and to short outings to try to train my feet, and I feel like it’s working, but I still think it’s likely I won’t make it through the entire day and night in those shoes.
So my question is: If I alter my (floor length with a train and bustle) dress to my height in 4-inch heels, will it be way too long to dance in if I take them off? And if I alter the dress to my height in flats, will it look terrible with heels? If I can’t last the whole night in heels, do I need to just be realistic and plan to wear flats?

2024.05.28 20:27 amurderof But... but we recorded what you said...

So I manage a customer service team for a consumer packaged goods brand. You can imagine the stories I could tell... But this one happened this morning, and it's too on brand to not share.
We record all of our calls. We tell consumers we record all of our calls. We still get people who claim the call they had occurred in an alternate reality where they said X and Y instead of B and S.
My employee is a good egg boomer, and unfortunately she got a Boomer this morning who insisted she'd called before (she hadn't), insisted she'd told us everything we needed to know about her issue (nope), and that Employee was being rude and dismissive for asking basic questions like, "Could you have called from another phone number?" and "Can you tell me which bag in the carton had the issue?"
She demands to speak to me. I listen to the call before I accept the transfer. I get to hear this gem:
"You know what, may I have your supervisor? I'm not gonna fight with you. You're here to serve me. I pay for your products to keep you having a job. You don't pay for my support. May I have your supervisor. I don't care for your attitude."
My employee tried to get hold of me and asks her to wait a moment, and Boomer continues:
"If you don't like your job, quit and go find another job and be happy." Employee responds, "Ma'am, I can hear you, " and Boomer says, "I'm glad you can hear me. I'm gonna tell your supervisor. Maybe it'll change your attitude. I hope this call is recorded and your attitude changes for the next person. You're very rude. [You] should be fired for the way you just talked to me. Or at least suspended."
Again... all my employee did was ask clarifying questions and not accept Boomer's contradictory claims as gospel.
When I spoke with her, she played the victim and told me I need to listen to the call, because my employee was So Rude.
Where tf do they get off? YOU'RE HERE TO SERVE ME. Get bent, lady. I hope you have the day you deserve. I'm gonna get my employee a milkshake for having to deal with you.
