Called an auto-electric, he said it was the computer. Brought two computers from other SUVs, but none of them worked. Finally, called another technician, he took into his shop, made it work, charged me 200 bucks BUT…he told me: now you need to take it to a mechanic, and soon I knew why: the steering wheel shakes a lot when turning, then it feels like it’s gonna turn off, but it doesn’t. The check engine light came on. Took it to AutoZone and they said it was the head gaskets, and also the oxygen sensor. The Explorer was very smooth and easy to drive and did not have any issues before the electric tech took it in and replaced the computer and cables. My dad said he doesn’t think it’s the gaskets. Any ideas?

I recently replaced my car battery with a new one because the old battery read 12.2V, which I believe indicated it couldn't hold a charge. I drive on the highway 3 times a week for about an hour each time, so I think the alternator has plenty of time to charge the battery. Here are the details of my situation and the tests I've done:

New Battery Voltage:

• The new battery initially read 12.6V (fully charged).

Battery Voltage After One Week:

• After driving on the highway (3 times a week for 1 hour each at 100km/h), I checked the battery with the car off for more than 12 hours. It read 12.38V. I couldn't believe it does hold charge at 12.6V!

Voltage When Starting the Engine:

• When I start the engine, the battery voltage jumps to 14V+ for a quick second, then drops and stabilizes at around 13.77-13.8V.

Voltage Under Load:

• With the headlights, speaker, A/C, fan, and cabin light all turned on, the battery voltage remains steady at 13.8V.

Questions:

• Is it normal for the battery to drop from 12.6V to 12.38V after driving for 3 times this week on highway?
• Does the alternator seem to be working properly based on these voltage readings?
• Should I be concerned about the voltage drop or any other issues?

So i have built multiple boxes for my backyard to transmit BLE to Wifi for my plant monitoring sensors, everything is working fine and i am trying to get the voltage of the battery along with the percentage but im not sure if i am calculating this properly

Utilizing a 100k and 27k resistor as in the diagram, i am pulling voltage and converting battery percentage correctly, but im not sure if the values are correct or how to check
I followed the instructions exactly and i am just wondering if my data is correct

I have a 10000 mAh battery in the unit that runs at 3.7 i have a 6v solar panel charging the battery all is working fine there, i am using the instructions to drop the voltage down from 3.7 to 3.3 volts successfully.
Looking at the settings its mapping the voltage but is it mapping it correctly since it is stating that 3.1 is 100% which really it is not, im not sure if i can just change these numbers to reflect what they should be or are there other calculations needing to be done or should they be calculated differently???
To me this below doesn't make sense but its what the writeup states

When i check the voltage at the TP4065 coming from the battery i am seeing 3.8 volts even though its reporting 3.0, so something is definitely off for some reason and im not sure what is causing this, am i using the wrong resistors for it to be that far off or is it calculations?
Oh and my other BLE Proxy is reporting 3.10 volts but the battery is showing 3.99 on my meter

It’s reporting 3.99 volts input at the first resistor and 3.25 volts at second resistor so it’s off by about .15 not a big deal but why am I not getting battery voltage and I’m getting voltage from the esp32
So I really have no way at this point the way it’s configured to see the battery voltage from what I’m seeing
I’m a little lost at this point I did fine the one ble proxy was wired wrong for the resistors I fixed that didn’t change anything
Help is appreciated i just want to get correct values so i can know where the battery is at during the night and day,
Also if possible is there a way i can get any information for how much the battery is being charged or the charging state? I am using a TP4056 solar charger to charge the battery, not sure how or if possible i can get charging state from it or the battery.
Would it be better if i used an external voltage divider or some other sensor to accomplish this or use what i currently have setup?? I see Adafruit has one the max17048 would this be better?

Day 93 The situation has dramatically escalated even further somehow, as the hyper-realistic cake plague has now begun heavily affecting the nearby states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut and even some parts of Canada. Reports are coming in from all over the USA and even some of Mexico and South America of people’s items suddenly being replaced with ominous (albeit, tasty) hyper-realistic cakes. The president is doing nothing to quell the fear of US citizens, claiming the whole situation is ridiculous and that everyone is a fool for buying into it. The president has continued to display pure apathy to the situation, claiming the whole thing to be a farce, until he discovered one morning his wife had been turned into a hyper-realistic cake. I told her I won’t attend the whole appointment as there was an emergency protest for Rafah and that I will be going there. I confirmed that the appointment was complete and told her she can bill my insurance and she said okay. She said good on you for being an activist and we ended the call (I do all my appointments through call).
Then today I checked my email and I was charged a missed appointment fee for the appointment. I called and the receptionist said your psychologist said she asked for your authorization, which is not true. She is saying she can’t bill my insurance because I wasn’t alone in the car. But she did not say any of this, if she did I would have asked my sister to leave the car and let me take my appointment. Is this a correct charge? I cannot afford the $220 and I still have $4900 of benefits left that I need to used by June 30.
The terms of their policy is “Clients are responsible to pay the total cost of the session if they cancel with less than an hour notice or do not show up for their appointment” but I did show up for the appointment. I also contacted my health insurance and they said there is no minimum to how long my appointment has to be. So everything I check, the charge doesn’t seem right.
Is this something I can dispute with them further or even with my credit card company?

Myself (65f) and my husband (64f) have had a full year of mostly downs. A year ago tomorrow my father had a massive heart attack that ended in him being in in-home Hospice care for 10 months before passing in March. 3 days after his heart attack I fell and broke my back....not good on top of existing health issues. We provided 24/7 care to my father. All through this I've been fighting my husband's Medicare because of a problem they created and didn't cover any of his medical bills in 2022, which led to his insurance not paying either. There 2 surgeries for him during that time. We've paid off a lot of it and are still paying/owing much more.
So, coming to now, I broke a crown last month and need to get it replaced next month for around $4000 (insurance will help with almost half, we hope). I start on Medicare in June, but I'm on Humira and have to pay $2400 for it in June and another $2100 in July (doughnut hole). So things appear to be bleeding money. I've come to accept this as it's necessary medical expenses.
After battling his Medicare for over 1 1/2 years we finally received an answer today. They have corrected their issues and we now have to refile about $25,000 in charges. This will hopefully get us refunded the minimum of $10k+ over the upcoming months. If course with this they are the taking out a years worth of monthly Medicare payments next month. His check will be $37. So at least $6500 out of pocket in June and July and the loss of over $2000 in monthly income. YIPPEE!
The good news is my father left my siblings and I his estate and I've already received enough to cover those charges and fill in for the lost income. Not what I wanted to use my inheritance for, but at least I have it to pay without stressing over finances. The other monies will eventually flow in for reimbursements for the medical we paid already.
So at least it will all even out, or be close. My father is blessing me even after his death. Wish me luck ongoing.

Request for Help: Dell PowerEdge R730XD Server Not Recognizing RAID Card Connected to NetApp DS4246 JBOD

Server and Hardware Details:

• Server: Dell PowerEdge R730XD
• JBOD: NetApp DS4246
• HBA Card: Sun Oracle 7047853 8-port 6Gbps SAS-2 HBA SGX-SAS6
• Cables: Two CAB-QSFP to SFF-8088 Hybrid Mini SAS Twinax Copper Passive Hybrid Mini SAS Cables

Current Setup:

• The Sun Oracle HBA card is installed in the Dell PowerEdge R730XD server.
• The hybrid mini SAS cables connect the HBA card to the NetApp DS4246 JBOD.

Issue:

• The Dell server does not recognize the RAID card via BIOS or iDRAC.
• The internal LED on the HBA card is blinking green slowly.
• The link light on the JBOD port is inactive.

Steps Taken and Observations:

1. Swapped Cables:
   • I switched the hybrid mini SAS cables to rule out any cable-related issues. Despite this, the server still did not recognize the RAID card, and the JBOD link light remained inactive.
2. Tried Another Identical HBA Card:
   • I used a second, identical Sun Oracle HBA card to check if the first card was defective. Unfortunately, the server still did not detect the RAID card, indicating the problem might not be with the HBA card itself.
3. Tested Different PCI Slots:
   • I installed the HBA card in various known working PCI slots within the server to ensure there was no issue with the PCI slot. This did not resolve the problem, as the RAID card was still not recognized.
4. Updated Firmware:
   • The server is running the latest version of Dell's firmware. I confirmed this to rule out any compatibility issues due to outdated firmware.
5. LED and Link Light Observations:
   • The internal LED on the HBA card blinks green slowly, suggesting some activity or standby mode. However, the link light on the JBOD port is not lit, indicating a lack of communication or recognition between the devices.
6. Connected to Windows Machine:
   • I connected the HBA card to my Windows machine, and it was recognized correctly. This confirmed that the card itself is functional. I proceeded to update the firmware on the card.
7. Firmware Update on HBA Card:
   • I updated the HBA card to the latest firmware. Now, both the Dell server and the HBA card are running the latest firmware.
8. Attempting JBOD Firmware Update:
   • Updating the firmware on the NetApp DS4246 JBOD has been a significant challenge. The website requires waiting to access their third-party software to manage the controller and update the firmware. This process has been extremely cumbersome, with numerous hoops to jump through just to get the firmware updated.

Challenges and Need for Help:

1. Firmware Validation:
   • Challenge: I am unsure how to check and update the firmware for both the Sun Oracle HBA card and the NetApp DS4246 JBOD.
   • Need Help: Guidance on how to validate and, if necessary, update the firmware for both devices. This might help ensure they are compatible and functioning correctly.
2. JBOD Configuration:
   • Challenge: I am unclear on how to configure the NetApp DS4246 JBOD to properly recognize and communicate with the HBA card.
   • Need Help: Step-by-step instructions or resources on configuring the JBOD to establish a proper connection with the HBA card. This includes any necessary settings or procedures that need to be followed.
3. Diagnostic Tools and Methods:

Request for Help: Dell PowerEdge R730XD Server Not Recognizing RAID Card Connected to NetApp DS4246 JBOD

Server and Hardware Details:

• Server: Dell PowerEdge R730XD
• JBOD: NetApp DS4246
• HBA Card: Sun Oracle 7047853 8-port 6Gbps SAS-2 HBA SGX-SAS6
• Cables: Two CAB-QSFP to SFF-8088 Hybrid Mini SAS Twinax Copper Passive Hybrid Mini SAS Cables

Current Setup:

• The Sun Oracle HBA card is installed in the Dell PowerEdge R730XD server.
• The hybrid mini SAS cables connect the HBA card to the NetApp DS4246 JBOD.

Issue:

• The Dell server does not recognize the RAID card via BIOS or iDRAC.
• The internal LED on the HBA card is blinking green slowly.
• The link light on the JBOD port is inactive.

Steps Taken and Observations:

1. Swapped Cables:
   • I switched the hybrid mini SAS cables to rule out any cable-related issues. Despite this, the server still did not recognize the RAID card, and the JBOD link light remained inactive.
2. Tried Another Identical HBA Card:
   • I used a second, identical Sun Oracle HBA card to check if the first card was defective. Unfortunately, the server still did not detect the RAID card, indicating the problem might not be with the HBA card itself.
3. Tested Different PCI Slots:
   • I installed the HBA card in various known working PCI slots within the server to ensure there was no issue with the PCI slot. This did not resolve the problem, as the RAID card was still not recognized.
4. Updated Firmware:
   • The server is running the latest version of Dell's firmware. I confirmed this to rule out any compatibility issues due to outdated firmware.
5. LED and Link Light Observations:
   • The internal LED on the HBA card blinks green slowly, suggesting some activity or standby mode. However, the link light on the JBOD port is not lit, indicating a lack of communication or recognition between the devices.
6. Connected to Windows Machine:
   • I connected the HBA card to my Windows machine, and it was recognized correctly. This confirmed that the card itself is functional. I proceeded to update the firmware on the card.
7. Firmware Update on HBA Card:
   • I updated the HBA card to the latest firmware. Now, both the Dell server and the HBA card are running the latest firmware.
8. Attempting JBOD Firmware Update:
   • Updating the firmware on the NetApp DS4246 JBOD has been a significant challenge. The website requires waiting to access their third-party software to manage the controller and update the firmware. This process has been extremely cumbersome, with numerous hoops to jump through just to get the firmware updated.

So I have a 100AH LiFePO4 Amped Outdoors Battery. I use it for my trolling motor on my kayak. The battery is about 2 years old. Every time I get back from fishing I use the Noco Genius 10 to charge the battery. Well lately I have noticed the battery hasn't lasted as long and finally it died on me while fishing which it never has. I double checked that I charged it correctly and the next time I went out it died again. I then purchased a secondary battery charger. The Optimate TM 291. When I started using that my battery seems to be lasting longer again but it never shows fully charged on the charger or on my battery monitor attached to the battery. It always seems to stay in the test mode after charging completes. Have I damaged the battery or one of the cells? Yes I charge the battery in the Lithium mode on the Noco. My brand new MARS 6.5CM during the first 40 rounds of break in would randomly hold the bolt open with a round still in the mag and the bolt stop not engaged. 1) bolt can’t move forward because there’s still a round in the mag and when this happens and when I press the release it would not go forward 2) the bolt would however go forward when I pulled the charging handle. 3) this happened on two different types of ammo: AAC 140g BTHP and also on Hornady Match 140g VLD. 4) I tried two different Mags both brand new and both had the same malfunction. Magpul LSR M118 window mags with red followers. 5) Before firing, the rifle was checked over including making sure all torque values were correct on the fasteners, go/no-go on the chamber, cleaned-oiled-lubed according to the manual. 6) Buffer is currently stock and marked H3. Not sure what spring is in there as there are no identifiers but it’s cleaned and lubed properly. 7) Currently Running a Surefire Warcomp 3Prong and TriggerTech Trigger. Everything else is still OEM.

Hi everyone, I live in KC metro area and have to drive regularly to Missouri for college, I’m a very new driver and my inexperience landed me a speeding ticket going 81 in a 65, normally i wouldn’t mind just paying the fine and moving on if there weren’t any repercussions but me being a new driver who already pays 230$ per month in insurance and I’m afraid this going on my record would increase it, furthermore I’ll be searching for jobs in a few months from now and I don’t want my background check to have any history in it. From what I heard from people, if I go to the court on the date they mentioned and ask them to amend my ticket they would charge me twice the fine amount and remove any record of this ticket. I was charged with impaired driving after I hit the middle dividers curb (posisbly hit the light post as well), car spun around and side air bag deployed.
I got out of the far and there were some drivers that stopped and checked if I was ok.
Cops came after a bit of time, asked me if I had drinks I said yes 2 beers and gave me a screener breatherlizer test which I failed.
The two tests I took at the station readings were 110 and 100.
My lawyer is trying to reduce this down to careless driving. He said my advantages are:

• readings not over a lot
• first time
• have a family
• No records

But it is tougher because I did hit something.

I received this email right after I activated my physical Uber Pro Card card that I finally received in the mail. I didn’t click or check on anything to stop making automatic payouts after every delivery.
Why would they do that?
Also, if I look in the app Account-Payment under “Payout” it states:
“Uber Pro Card - xxxx Earnings paid out weekly
Your earnings are automatically paid out to your Uber Pro Card after every trip - free of charge.”
What is going on with this contradiction?
