What's up, After 2 years of horrible hypogonadism I finally got put on TRT. My doc gave me HcG to keep fertility and ball size. However, I'm not sure about the dosage, because he prescribed me a 10 000 USP vial and when mixed with the 10mL bac water, it only lasts a month before having to throw it away, but he said to inject 0,3 mL / week, which would be 300 units a week, so ~1200 units a month.
I would be throwing away 8800 units of HcG a month for no reason? or did I not understand the dosage, because 300 iu a week seems very low from what I'm seeing.
For reference, I am on 160mg T enanthate split into 4x a week with insulin pins.

boyfriend and I were intimate about three weeks ago, last week I had heavy bleeding with clots and a regular menstrual flow what I presumed to be my period. Right now I am diagnosed with PUL.
this thursday went to the er for some Light right side cramps (wanted to make sure it wasn’t my appendix) found out I was pregnant with hog at 547. They did a transvaginal and didn’t see anything.
If I check from what my possible conception was April 28th vs my last period on april 7th since we were only intimate around that time I would be about 4.4 weeks which I feel like you could see something on the scan or maybe almost 5 weeks
Anyway, Went back to the ER last night due to some soft cramps but my anxiety was super high since they told me to go incase I started feeling some pain so I just needed reassurance. HCG came back at 950 but progesterone was at 0.8 which isn’t a good sign at all. Still another scan done, couldn’t see anything on the scan, tubes and everything looked clear.
I honestly now feel a little pregnant, some nauesa and tiredness but nothing out of the ordinary. No spotting or heavy bleeding since finding out that I’m pregnant. I have to go back tomorrow as per their request for another ultrasound and to see my HCG levels. And now the slight cramps that were on my right side have made its way to the left. But its sometimes in the middle, OB that saw me last night said she’s hopeful and it looks promising that this is a in utero pregnancy, but we won’t know until hCG reaches about 3500
i’m honestly assuming for the worst possibly an ectopic pregnancy, I guess my question is for those who had an ectopic, at what week did you find out, what were your levels? did you double normally? Did you implant anywhere else besides the tubes? I just feel like this isn’t normal for me as I’ve been pregnant before ( I didn’t keep the pregnancy) but they saw the sac at like 4almost 5 weeks. I Just feel really alone, would love to hear from anyone :(

Last week, I finished my 5th dose of 5mg. The fifth dose was extracted using an insulin needle.
From last week I have fluctuated by 1-2lbs and I'm now 1lb or more heavier than my lowest weight on 8/5. I think I need a new scale as I have weighed myself 6 times now and been given a different reading each time, but every reading has still been heavier than my lowest recorded weight on 8th May.
This past week I have noticed that the appetite suppression and craving suppression has lessened and I am hungrier and eating slightly more. However, the effect of Mj is not totally eliminated, as in, I'm still eating less than before I started Mj and eating healthy meals, but I have also given in to cravings for sweet snacks. I am not sure how much of this is the reduced effectiveness of 5mg, and/or pre-menstrual cravings.
I have PCOS. My periods since Mj have come back but are still irregular. If they were regular, my period would have been due Thursday just gone. If it does come - and I expect it will because I haven't missed a period since Mj, they've just been far apart (like 35-39 days) I am not sure if this gain/weight fluctuation is due to my period being due soon - probably 22/23/24th next week. Historically when i have tried to lose weight and had some limited success, I typically gained 2-4lbs a week before my period, and then once my period was coming towards the end, I would then resume losing.
Today is injection day - now week 9. Do I stick to another 5mg dose hoping that it's period water weight retention and i'll lose once my period comes and leaves, or do I titrate up to 7.5mg and attribute this lack of weight loss to 5mg no longer being properly effective for weight loss? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Had an appointment with an urologist outside the VA system, and was pleasantly surprised by what I heard, primarily because he confirmed what I had been arguing with my VA provider about: I’m on too low of a testosterone dosage, I should be higher. At the end of the visit he told me I’ll be starting the following protocol for three months to see how it all goes, then go from there.
• HCG. Inject 3,000 units 3 times a week.
• Menopur 75 unit injection. Inject 150 units 3 times a week.
• Arimidex 1 mg tablet. Take 0.5 tablet (0.5 mg) every 7 days.
Question? Is there anyone familiar with the effects of Menopur and or Arimidex? My DM is open if you’re comfortable discussing further. Thanks in advance.

Ok so I was going to a clinic for six months they had me starting out on 100mg testosterone and 250iu hcg per week. We Increased the testosterone dose after bloodwork and at the latest I was up to 170mg testosterone and still 250iu hcg but due to some elevated estradiol levels was taking .5 anastrozle injection day and .25 3 day’s later. Overall I was pretty happy with treatment aside from some acne and having to be on ai. Well I went to urologist because clinic was expensive and got blood test the free testosterone was like 1100 and free was 100 roughly and he was not comfortable with that so he prescribed 120mg testosterone and wanted me to take clomid 25mg every other day. I was not comfortable with clomid based on what I read and watched so I asked him about enclomiphene instead to avoid the zuclomiphene in clomid and he said enclomiphiene was banned in 2016 in USA … but nonetheless agreed to continue hcg but said 250iu a week is pointless and a waste of money because of the 36 hour half life and said I would need 500iu every other day . Curious about y’all’s thoughts on all this thanks in advance. I’m 32 and my initial levels were low like 160s total testosterone.. not sure if the clinic tested my lh and fsh initially. I’ve learned a bit over the last 7 months so I’d probably ask more questions if I went back but is what it is no going back. I would like to pull my history to find out because I’m not sure if I’m experiencing primary or secondary hypogonadism … tell me your thoughts please.

I just finished up an IVF med round. It's the second ivf round I've done. I've done 2 IUI cycles, 2 FET transfer cycles, and this was my 2nd ivf med round.
Everything was looking amazing. I had 26 eggs on the sonogram, and I was convinced Menopur was a magical drug. The first time I did the ivf cycle, it was during a nationwide shortage of menopur, so we used HCG instead. The first ivf round I did, i got 17 eggs. 11 made it overnight, 8 survived the 5 day wait, and I had 5 healthy blasts after PGA testing. Unfortunately, all 5 were male embryos, and I had been very vocal from the beginning that I only wanted to implant female embryos. There's a history of severe medical issues with the males in my family, and I just wanted to mitigate that with females only.
Even with the male eggs, I tried. I did an FET cycle and the first one failed. Second FET we implanted 2 eggs, both attached. One didn't grow, but the other one split and I had identical twins. I 'graduated' from the fertility Dr. at 12 weeks, the next Dr told me to stop the progesterone and estrogen, and I miscarried at 13 weeks. That left me with 2 embryos from the first round.
After the miscarriage, I decided I was going to do another ivf round to try to get females, which is what led me to now. 26 eggs on the ultrasound, I woke up and the Dr told me I had 19 eggs harvested, got a call the next day that only 7 eggs made it overnight but there was a problem with the sperm and only 1 fertilized. Husband had to go and make another donation, he did, but apparently it was too late. Only one embryo made it overnight, and who knows if that one will make it to day 5.
Doctor said it was the perfect storm of he thinks he waited a few day too long to do the retrieval, husband's sperm was messed up for some unknown reason, and the entire cycle was pretty much a bust. $8k worth of meds and 2 weeks of injections into my stomach.. All for nothing.
I just want to give up so bad. Just accept that I'm not meant to have kids. Maybe adopt. Maybe drop $50k and have one or two of the remaining embryos transferred into a surrogate. I don't know. I'm just lost and really hurt.

I found out on May 12th that I'm pregnant. I had blood work done yesterday, my hcg is at 92 and I'm worried. I know to see a trend that I will need another blood test completed. My last menstrual cycle was April 18-22 my period still isn't due for another 4/5 days. Am I just stressing for no reason

i’m a little lost, hubby and i were intimate from april 24 - april 27th. Spotted light pink / brown May 6 - 8, light but panty liner worthy. some now i assume pregnancy symptoms were just really sore heavy boobs & craving soda lol.
Had my annual gyno visit on May 8th and decided to do sono since i get cysts & they also did HCG blood test ( at this point i didn’t assume i was pregnant ) sono came clear in fact she said it loooked like my period would start soon and HCG came back at a 6. which they deemed was a negative
I started what i believe was my period on Thursday May 9th Super heavy bleeding which lightened up around day 4 which is normal for me and some cramping the first day or two which is what usually happens to me anyway. That lasts until this tuesday May 14th which i thought would be the end for my period which normally is.
then i spotted again on the 15th but that isn’t normal for me. but i checked it up to it stopping all morning then continuing at night.
Main point is i was having cramps on my right side after the bleeding was done and that was what sent me to the ER, not the pain but the suspiciousness of it. checked my HCG and it was at 547 but no sac or anything found, ovaries and tubes looked fine and no free fluid. They can’t rule out ectopic cause they said it’s early still but has anyone experienced this as far as miscarriage? i’m just so worried now cause i went in there expecting not to be pregnant just to find out i was..
and the bleeding, it was bright red like an actual menstrual it literally followed my actual menstrual and i wasn’t late or off either i have a 34 day cycle and started bleeding on day 32.

So I have been on TRT for little less than a year. I have been taking 200mg per week via two injections. I have also been taking HCG, and due to high estrogen, been on an AI as well.
Recently my RBC and Hematocrit was high so the TRT Nation doctor recommend that I have therapeutic phlebotomy. I cant donate blood since I take finasteride.
My primary care physician and the endocrinologist they referred to indicate that I don't need to perform a phlebotomy and even question why I went on TRT. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea in early January of this year and they indicate that likely was the cause for my low T. Likewise, they indicate that TRT would worsen my sleep apnea so they recommend that I go off TRT.
For reference, I started on TRT in September 2023. Below are some key markers that I have been following. The first two months were before starting TRT. In May I had a real bad cough that lasted three weeks so I went to urgent care and had some tests ran. They did not run T or E so that information is missing.

I am still considering staying on TRT since I am 48 and T levels get lower anyways as you age. I still have a discussion pending with the TRT Nation doctor.
If I was to come off TRT, would it be safe to simply stop since I have been taking HCG the entire time? Would I just continue to take HCG for a while before stopping those injections?
Edit: Thank you all so much for all your help and detailed responses. Decided to reduce my weekly dose from 200mg (two injections) to 100mg (two injections). I will continue on the weekly 500iu HCG (two injections) and no more AI unless really needed. Focus will be on staying well hydrated, lots of cardio, exercise and resistance training.
Labs in eight weeks will determine the next steps i.e. reducing HCG to 350iu (two injections) and or increasing/decreasing TRT dosage.

Actually I had dull, but not horrible, aches post vasectomy for years post intercourse. Makes sense from the fact that the sperm have nowhere to go. Years later I was diagnosed with low T and my primary care doc got my levels to 300-500 without any real improvement of low T symptoms except the post vasectomy pain resolved. Now I’m seeing a doc who’s keeping my T in the 900-1100 range and my libido, energy, mood and well being is amazing but he started me on HCG as well to prevent atrophy.
At first I noticed more sensitivity to my balls, which was not bad at all as it added a new level of foreplay for my wife and I. However I started getting very painful ejaculations with that blue ball feeling that aches for hours.
So I’ve stopped taking the HCG and symptoms resolved, but my nuts are a bit smaller. I will talk to my doc about this at our follow up tomorrow.
PVP isn’t taken seriously, and sadly. As I keep telling my wife, it doesn’t matter how small the tunnel off the island is…it’s the only damn tunnel. So sperm have to literally blow out the side, and get reabsorbed into the sac. More sperm = larger blow outs. Maybe it’s the vasectomy technique, and maybe it’s the individual. But it’s real and debilitating.

Honestly testosterone therapy should be a first line treatment for PVP syndrome. Really pathetic that it’s easier for a 12 year old girl to get testosterone injections for untreated mental health issues than it is for a man to get a replacement therapy.
I love being at a T level >800. It’s a game changer and actually beneficial for well being and physical health compared to any drugs prescribed by a psychologist. But most PCP’s don’t know crap and they are happy if they get your 150 up to 350.
Maybe I should tell a therapist I identify as a hypermasculine disagreeable 18 year old male. I’ve been misgendered my whole life as a hypo-masculine / slightly feminine overweight male.

I know this is old, but what’s your follow up. I’ve noticed increase pain with ejaculation since starting HCG, enough so that I stopped it after 4 weeks. I’m about 10 years post vasectomy and finally found a doc to get my T levels to the >800 range and really he only wants my low energy / libido symptoms to improve and could care less if my T is 600 or 1200. But he added an aromatase inhibitor and HCG…Also finding that there’s negatives to the AI, but that’s a different thread.

I’m 10 years post vasectomy and HCG created more pain with ejaculation for me. While testosterone reduced my ejaculation pain. Makes sense, less sperm, less dramatic blow outs from the severed & clipped tube. More sperm, more volume hitting a dead end. But that’s just me

I’ve commented a few times, but my experience is 10 years vasectomy. TRT reduced post vasectomy pain, HCG increased post vasectomy pain. I’d try switching to TRT and your sperm count will drop, potentially reducing that overbuilding of pressure in your nuts…that’s how I could explain it…like my nuts were too full and ready to burst. Less sperm is a good thing post vasectomy.

Just completed first injections 15 minutes ago.
500iu of hcg per week
I’m prescribed 150mg of test c per week but I’m going to just start with 100mg and see how I feel.
Both 100% painless. I used my quad for the testosterone. Just quickly jabbed the needle down and that was that. Pulled on the syringe to see if I hit a vein? Nothing came back. So just injected it.
Does anyone alternate legs? Seems like my leg is already a little sore in a way, like I can feel the injection site a bit.
Any advice on taking Anastrazole? I’m trying to take as little as possible here. They just told me to take it every injection day. Is it possible to not take it? What are the symptoms of a spike in estrogen? I’ve read irritated nipples / itchy nipples?
Any tips would be great. Seems pretty straight forward, but it is a lot of work, needles, kind of a commitment.

I am a little stumped. I have been on TRT for about 10 years. Levels have always been within good ranges from 700-900. I went off of it for a year while taking chlomid and hcg as my wife and I were trying to have our biological baby. I have been back on TRT for about 2 months and received my bloodwork and my T levels were over 1500. Free T was 22.6 (6.8-21.5). E is obviously a little elevated at 44 (7.6-44.2). SHBG is on the high end of normal.
Protocol is the same being .28 M/W/F. Only differences are now being down about 10 lbs due to loosing my appetite while off of TRT. Taking 50mg of Vyvanse at 7am and 20 mg Adderall at around 12pm.
Other outliers are Prolactin at 45.9 (3.9-22.7), BUN/Creatinine ratio 6 (9-20) but them by themselves are within normal ranges so my Doctor is not concerned.
I am not concerned about the outliers as I believe they will fall inline when T gets down.
My Doctor and I are stumped on why my levels are so much higher taking the same amount at the same frequency. We are decreasing the injection amount by .08.
Has anyone have had any experience like this, or know why I am having such a different reaction this time? TIA.

Was diagnosed on April 9, 2024 and got MTX injection the following day… (HCG still at 47, the decrease is so slow -_-). I’ve been off work ever since. I’m scheduled to see a psychiatrist tomorrow because my doctor suggested it on multiple occasions. I guess it was apparent that I was very sad, which makes sense considering I cry every time I go to the freaking OBGYN because everyone is pregnant everywhere and it just makes me feel empty and horrible.
I’m finally taking her advice, as I know I’ve been burying a lot of feelings and masking my emotions (even though I cry all the time when I’m alone). I don’t know why but at the same time, I’m so reluctant to speak to someone… Why am I so scared? I keep changing my mind - one minute I feel like cancelling the appointment and the next i feel super awful and I tell myself “shit maybe I really do need help”. Has anyone experienced any of these types of feelings?
As for going back to work (scheduled to go back in 1 week) I’m just petrified for some reason. I think it’s worth mentioning that I haven’t disclosed my exact situation to my employer, I’ve been very vague about my “medical condition” this whole time because im afraid my job will be in jeopardy if my boss comes to understand that I’ve been actively trying to conceive… maybe that sounds stupid to some, but that’s how I feel based off of how toxic my boss is. Anyway, if you’ve made it this far I thank you in advance for reading this post. I guess I’m looking for reassurance that going back to work won’t feel horrible… I just wonder when the hell I’ll ever feel normal again.

I ordered hcg and didn’t realize it was a “single use” vial. It’s 5000iu with a 2mL sodium chloride ampule. Is that ampule the same as bac water, and can I extend the injections until my other vials arrive. I know to keep in the fridge. I’m currently running 300mg test a week, the hcg is just to keep the boys to size and help with fertility while on cycle.

I just got HCG from a alternative source so I can become fertile again and I am injecting 500 3 days a week
My question is, do I keep using the Anastrozole and Clomiphene? Or do I stop those because of the HCG?

Hi friends. I'm like 117 hours away from my very first suppression check, but who's counting 😅 and thinking through all these "last minute" questions about stims.
✨ For those who have successfully used the buzzy bee thingy - do you know if it's comparable to using a personal TENS unit? I have a dinky one off Amazon that I haven't used for a few years, and was thinking that, on the right setting, it definitely can get me distracted/focused on whatever's under the pad.
I don't think I'll need it for the subq injections but hey, can't hurt!
✨ Is acupuncture the same feeling as dry needling? I did a single dry needle in my cervical spine a few years ago trying to work on a knot. I HATED it. Couldn't wait for it to be over. Not sure if it just was freaking me out to have it right by my spine, or what. Is acupuncture.... any different? It makes me feel nauseous just thinking about giving it a try.
✨ Finally. Is the final HCG trigger shot nearly always taken in the evening? I assume so given the ~36 hour window. But I'm real anxious about giving this one to myself and trying to understand if the clinic could possibly do it for me, or my PCP, or if I should try a nursing service to come to me......
