2024.06.08 21:53 2006_shadow19 is this a possible weight loss goal?

I (18M) am 5'11 and 228 pounds. I was 237 about 10 days ago. I have been walking 9000-10k steps everyday, eating in a calorie deficit, focusing on protein, drinking inbetween 1/2 and 1 gallon of water, no liquid calories, cut out chips, fast food, etc. some days i lift weights and some days i do extra cardio. I eat eggs, protein bars, lean ground beef for burgers, chicken. drink 1/2 protein shakes a day. I take Zinc, Vitamin D3, and an all in 1 vitamin, so i'm trying my hardest not to skip the nutritional parts, and not under eat, which i do anyway because i focus on volume eating
My goal is to be 180 by October 13th (today is June 8th) so it is roughly 18 weeks, meaning 2.6 pounds a week. Is this safe/possible?

2024.06.08 21:28 Old_Coyote5931 All Natural MMJ

I have to bitch about my negative experience. I have relied on them since the beginning of my MMJ registration. The particular person named Keith (whose last name shall remain anonymous.) asked me questions. My flower recommendation has been 4 oz per month, which he approved and told me that OMMU doesn't like it. So, he then says if I want 4 0z to call the 800# of All Natural, which I did. Checking OMMU, it showed 4oz. After checking, I went back to OMMU and it had been changed to 2.5 I had gone down my primary Dr's Notes (list of ailments) which includes Diabetes 2, neuropathy, chronic neck pain caused by spinal stenosis (cervical), depression, osteoarthritis and osteoporosis...This mmj Dr (who is a Pediatrician) making extra $ as a mmj dr. For one thing, he knows nothing about anything regarding my medical condition. He lied to me. I'm fed up and I am requesting my $199 refund, come Monday. This has been very Stressful and in addition, I am 70 years old. This guy has Zero Empathy. I Do Not Recommend All Natural MMJ/ Lakeland.

2024.06.08 20:26 imthrownaway93 I keep making careless mistakes with my small business. wtf is wrong with me??

I know mistakes are normal, but the amount of mistakes I make is just ridiculous. I’ve sent the wrong products to people SO MANY TIMES. I go over deadlines consistently. I’m bad at procrastinating. I have a hard time organizing tasks. I get overwhelmed so easily. I also have a hard time managing my social media time. I can scroll on fb or tiktok all day long. I do have depression, which I take duloxetine for 60mg. I also take risperidone 1mg bc my psychiatrist thinks I have BPD or bipolar. Idk if I actually am or not, maybe borderline personality but definitely not bipolar. I grew up in an abusive household, physically and mentally. I think a lot of my issues do stem from that, but I’m certain there’s something else going on. My mother had depression as well, her brother is schizophrenic. My brother has adhd ocd and odd. My sister has severe depression and add. I’m pretty sure my father has something going on but he doesn’t believe in mental health issues so who knows what’s going on with him. I like to say he’s a sociopath. So all around, a family history of mental disorders. I plan on seeing a regular dr to see if I have ADHD, since I see a psychiatrist over the phone and they can’t treat it. But idk if that’s what’s going on or not in the mean time. I’m [30] [female] 5’1”, 160lbs. I also take prenatals, vitamins d3 & k2, omega 3. Non smoker, I don’t drink or do any drugs. I’ve had my gallbladder removed. I’m currently breastfeeding my 11 month old. I have 3 kids. My issues have been present my whole life. I struggled in school, it’s been hard for me to keep a regular job. I started my small crochet business early last year. I normally have my husband check the products are going to the right place but he can’t always help me. I feel like I should need his help in the first place. Help??

2024.06.08 20:16 AEGISAlliance CSL Plasma: Get 5,000 iGive Rewards® points ($50) after five donations for new donors! (Plus new donor bonus money) Using the CSL Plasma app! Referral Code: ZULMHXXVCB Solid advice for new plasma donors included! Thank you!

Link to download app:
I have advice for new plasma donors who may be considering to try it out and earn extra money:
  1. Eat a meal high in protein 2-3 hours before donating, but your plasma protein levels depend on what you ate the day before.
  2. Drink plenty of water and/or non-caffeinated juice before donating to stay hydrated.
  3. Avoid caffeine such as in coffee or soda before donating or you may get nauseous and vomit or faint during your donation.
  4. No alcohol 24 hours before, and for a little while after donating.
  5. No exercising for at least 6 hours after donating as it can put too much stress on the vein.
  6. Some people get away with smoking or vaping nicotine before and after donating, but it's recommended not to for 2 hours before and after. The nicotine can raise your heart's pulse rate.
  7. If your pulse rate is 100 or above, you'll be able to do a vitals retake after a 15 minute wait. But if it's 100 or higher again you'll be deferred for the day. If your pulse rate is an issue, listen to "Pink Noise" or "Green Noise" at a low volume before donating which may help reduce your pulse rate, along with its effect on lowering your blood pressure.
  8. There is a risk of getting a blown vein if the worker is having a hard time finding your vein when they're sticking you with the needle or if you have small veins. You may get deferred until your vein heals if that happens. But it's ok, your body is able to regenerate your veins with a process called Angiogenesis.
  9. There is a risk of blood clots, but when your blood is constantly moving through the machine it prevents that from happening.
  10. You may be subject to drug screening. The drug screening tests for methamphetamines, cocaine, and heroin. Certain pharma prescription meds may show up as a false positive so you'll want to let the plasma center know what meds you're taking. Testing positive for these drugs can result in a permanent deferral from donating plasma.
  11. A sample of your blood will be drawn periodically to test for certain sexually transmitted infections (STIs). A positive test will result in either a temporary or permanent deferral from donating plasma. If you've ever been diagnosed or received treatment for HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B (HBV) or Hepatitis C (HCV) you will be permanently deferred from donating plasma.
Donating Plasma with Managed Diabetes
Individuals with well-controlled diabetes can contribute to plasma donation, but certain criteria need to be met:
Absence of Complications: This means no existing diabetic complications affecting your kidneys, heart, blood vessels, or eyes.
Insulin Independence: If you rely on insulin for diabetes management, a three-month waiting period is required after using needles for non-prescribed medications. Additionally, you must be free of symptoms or treatment needs related to blood sugar fluctuations (high or low) for the past three months.
  1. Healthy Feet: Active foot ulcers requiring medical attention will disqualify you from donation.
  2. Steady Balance: You shouldn't experience dizziness or lightheadedness upon standing.
  3. Type 1 Consideration: For Type 1 diabetics, eating within two hours of donation is mandatory.

2024.06.08 19:42 AdamPLEU The Final Shape campaign is a diffrent take on The wizard of Oz

Let me start by saying that this is all just a theory, but I think it's a solid one.
Every expansion since Witch Queen I think, had a direction when it comes to a story. Witch Queen was an old school detective story, Lightfall was a retro sci-fi story and I think The Final Shape is based on all sorts of fables.
Whole expansion is set in a magical world, morę than any other we've ever had, setting is just right for to to be some sort od table.
Let's get to my main point, and all the similarities with The wizard of Oz, and how our journey from a pale heart is very similar to the journey of Dorothy in Oz. First is the whole premise of both stories. Dorothy Has to go on a yellow brick road to get to the tower of Oz, where the wizard is, in The Final Shape we have to go through a linear Path to get to a tower where witness is. But it's not everything, let's get to the chracters next, Dorothy meets three other main characters: Scarecrow,Tin Man and a Lion im this exact order. Now next thing can be a little far fetched, but hear me out. Scarecrow needed a brain in Wizard od Oz, and who is the first person we meet im The Final Shape? Cayde. I'm not saying that cayde is stupid but sometimes he acted like he didin't have a brain with his recklessnes and all. Second person we meet im The dlc is Ikora and she would be a counterpart to a tin Man from Oz. Tin Man needed a heart and this is hard to connect to Ikora, but she was pretty hard on Zavala few times throughout the years. Last person we meet on our journey od Zavala, whose counterpart in Oz is Lion, who was im need of courage, and I think this is pretty obvious looking how Zavala didin't have its when Cayde ford in Forasaken.
TL:DR The Final Shape story od roughly based on Wizard of Oz, with similarities such as a journey of Dorothy and our journey through The pale heart. Also some characters im The wizard of Oz are similar to their counterparts on The Final Shape
I know that this theory has some problems, duch as Ikora being heartless but I think it's a pretty intresting one. Tell me what you think about this.

The Vegan Buffalo Dip is as Bad as the Almond Chipotle Dip is Good
I adore Buffalo wing flavor and the Almond Chipotle Dip is so tasty that I'll admit I had some expectations for the Vegan Buffalo Dip. Dashed, they were. I don't know what's worse, its texture or its flavor: it's lumpy like someone didn't puree it enough, and the flavor is bland with a chemical aftertaste. Has anyone else tried it? Did I get a bad batch?

2024.06.08 18:21 RVA-Shaggy Weird situation with labs

(TLDR: After 2+ years of 150mg cyp. IM, with all other routine 6 month testing showing totals from 800s to low 1000s, suddenly total came back as >1500.)
I've been on 160mg x week cypionate IM for a couple years now. My labs have always been around high 800s to low 1000s on total, but free, except when I first started TRT at a dose of 100mg cyp x week, has always been abnormally low. For example, bloodwork 6 months ago showed total as 1074 (doc is ok with the occasional low 1000s total), and free as 3.8. My doctor is great, me and him collaborate and share ideas, it's not him dictating every single thing. DHEA-S tested at 3 back in January. SHBG was well within proper levels. Total estrogens were 81. I started a 50mg x day DHEA supplement after those shitty test results. After almost 6 months of DHEA supplementation my level as of 5-28-24 was still abnormal, 38. However, all of a sudden, my routine 6 month testing showed total as over 1500 (Labcorp) and free T as 20.8, normal range. As far as nutrient and micronutrient levels, Vitamin D, after 6 months of 20,000 IU D3 daily with a level of 36 before starting supplementation, finally reached 3 digits (102). He also ran, at my suggestion, blood levels of basically everything in a all in one multivitamin pill, plus another 9 other micronutrients. Cost me over $1500 at Labcorp for 29 separate nutritional tests, but it was well worth it. As far as low level results B-12 was 242 Vitamin C was 0.2, selenium was 69, and Vitamin E-Alpha was on the low side but still ok (8.8). Everything else (copper, gluthinione, B6, beta carotene, et al, were fully OK to low normal to high normal.)
Anyway, my doctor emailed me yesterday about the latest test results. He didn't say anything about the >1500 total test except that he thinks I should consider dialing the dose back a bit. Also called in a script for cyanocobalamin (B-12) 4 vials, 1000 mcg IM weekly for 4 weeks, then retest levels, and said to start Vit C high dose supplements ASAP, and selenium 250 mcg daily.
So, I replied to his email with my thoughts. I said the best thing I felt was to completely stop the T for 45-55 days, enough time for it to go through all its half-life cycles. Then, when I see him later next month, perhaps we could get fresh baselines on not only test, but DHEA-S, SHBG, estradiol, CBC, CMP too, along with anything else he could think of.
So, have any of you guys experienced anything like this? I want to post a bunch of Labcorp results but just need to redact personal information first. It's worth mentioning that I've been on methadone maintenance for a while now, however my test levels were already abnormal low before my opiate addiction and meth maintenance. The opiates and opioids simply decreased my already very low total by nearly 75%. There actually are methadone clinics that include testosterone testing in men's bloodwork, and offer Androgel topical scripts for people with fatigue and low libido, or even if they're simply abnormally low sometimes. My clinic does not do testosterone. Another thing worth mentioning is that my PCP is taking care of the testosterone issue, not an endocrinologist.

2024.06.08 18:01 LeadershipZestyclose Extremely Low Live Viewership

Extremely Low Live Viewership
So I started live streaming on a loophole account in February of this year and it was going amazing. I was promoting the gut cleanse and Himalayan shilajit and would often make $500-800 in a few hours with my best stream ever making $400 in 57 minutes. I would usually average at least 100 viewers and sometimes get up to300-400 viewers.
However, I accumulated 24 violation points with that account in early April and unfortunately none of my pints have fallen off and I believe it’s gone for good.
So I started two more affiliate accounts and have been attempting to live stream over the last month with absolutely brutal results. I cannot muster up more than 10 viewers now. And I just went live for 2 hours tonight and was stuck on 0 and 1 viewers.
I don’t know what to make of it. I have just repeated the same thing I did previously that worked and nothing is working now. Is it possible to be live shadowbanned? Or is it just so much harder to grow an audience on live now? Help me understand or somebody motivate me to keep going because honestly this sucks 😭

2024.06.08 17:58 Anonym4635634 2nd degree burn, what do I do?

I am male, 21 years old, from Germany and nearly a week ago on sunday (july 2nd) I burned the top of my right foot by spilling boiling water. This photo is from today. And for comparison this was two days ago, when the top layer of skin was still attached.
Right when it happened I immediately put it under cool water (not to cold ofc) for a good 15-20mins.
The first night was horrible (pain-wise) the following days were fine, I made sure to disinfect it and kept it bandaged (not too tight) a few blisters formed, some popped and refilled due to me walking with shoes a few times.
Then yesterday I had no shoes on but bandages and socks were still covering it and my dog stepped on my foot which must’ve caused the top layer of skin to completely separate. When I removed the bandage that evening the skin came off and since then the pain has increased but overall I’m still doing fine, no signs of fever etc.
Today I went to the pharmacy to ask how to treat the wound, since I wasn’t sure what to put on it (I used a burn cream so far) but the pharmacist told me to go to the hospital to have them treat it. Now I personally thought the hospital was for emergencies and I don’t feel like what I’m dealing with is worth going to the hospital.
TL;DR is this wound really something worth going to the hospital for or can I treat it at home if so what do I use to treat it at home? Or a third option could be to wait until Monday to see my general practitioner?
Additional info which I’m not sure whether or not it’s needed in this case but I’ll add it anyways for the sake of completeness: I‘m mentally ill and have chronic pain as well as osteopenia and antiphospholipid syndrome, my medication is the following: Duloxetin 90mg 1-0-0-0 Quetiapin retard 200mg 1-0-0-0 Vitamin D3 1000IE 1-0-0-0 Metamizol 500mg 1-1-0-1 Amitriptylin 25mg 0-0-0-1 Calcium 600mg 0-0-0-1 Quetiapin 150mg 0-0-0-1 Nebido 1000mg every 12 weeks (And a few gels and creams against acne as well as a finasteride spray against hairloss)

2024.06.08 17:48 Throwaway22446688009 Looking for soda!

Yes, this is another critically important request.
Dr. Pepper has come out with a new flavor this summer called creamy coconut or something like that. We grabbed some 20 oz bottles at a Sheetz and my wife loves it, so now we're trying to find 12-packs of cans.
Difficulty: we need the zero sugar version. Every grocery store we've been to so far has the regular version, but we haven't seen zero sugar packs anywhere.
Can anyone point me to a grocery store in the area that is carrying the Zero Sugar Dr. Pepper Creamy Coconut 12-packs??
Thanks!

Pro tip: Skip ice if you want your frozen drink to be slightly diluted (we're not judging). You can opt for equal parts alcohol and liquid ingredients. Serve in cocktail glasses rimmed with sugar or salt.
Whether you like your tropical smooth or on the rocks, we think you'll love our take on one of the summer's most popular shots—but don't take our word for it!

Strawberry Daiquiri

Start your party off with a fun drink everyone will love. This type of shot drink is excellent for every occasion, and it's also a simple drink that everyone can make. It's perfect for summertime or when you have friends over at home.
You can also add different fruits, like blueberries if you want something even tastier. To get started making your own Strawberry Daiquiri. Take one part white rum and two parts sugar syrup (equal parts sugar and water).
Fresh strawberries and shaved ice in a cocktail shaker with a few dashes of lime juice will also be added. Shake up your mixture and pour over more ice in a rock glass before serving. You can get your different types of hot drinks as simple as that!

Classic Jagermeister

You may have had a few different types of hot drinks back in college, like Jager bombs. But you're likely going to want something more elegant than Red Bull and blue curacao once you reach adulthood. This type of shot drink is as simple as it gets.
Drop a sugar cube into your jager and let it dissolve. For an extra kick, light your jager on fire before drinking; (Nb: avoid doing shots if you plan on driving.)

Singapore Sling

This traditional drink is made with cherry brandy, Benedictine, and gin. It originated in Raffles Hotel Singapore during a period of British colonial rule. This shot drink was initially invented as a hangover cure, unlike the other different types of hot beverages.
The drinks' cherries came from Sir Stamford Raffles, founder of Singapore, and he brought them back from Malacca (Malaysia), where they are native.
However, his original recipe for it has been lost. If you know your history, please put that information into context. Thanks!

Bazooka Joe

A Banana, whipped cream, and vanilla ice cream are served with a gumball (Also known as Bananarama). A shooter shot with 1/2 oz Banana Liqueur, and 1/2 oz White Crème de Cacao. With two scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream. Shooters should be enjoyed responsibly and in moderation.
It will get you moving for sure! You can consume these shot drinks that are best consumed while playing twister on your living room floor!

Jack and Coke

As America's favorite whiskey and soda, Jack and Coke is one shot that's sure to please. Suppose you like your drinks a little on the sweet side. You can try adding a few extra ounces of cola (which also lightens it up).
It doesn't have quite as strong a bite as some other options. If you're trying out different types of hot drinks for the first time, this could be a good starter. For a bonus, make sure you don't add ice—the lack of dilution makes it more robust than it looks!
Finally, take it up another notch without watering down your drink too much. You can consider adding an ounce or two of 151-proof rum.

Shamrock

It is a traditional shot drink, usually done for St. Patrick's Day. It is a combination of Midori Melon Liqueur and Bailey's Irish Cream.
One-third Midori, one-third Bailey's, and one-third Green Crème de Menthe, or Grenadine (sweet syrup) are poured into a shot glass.
The name comes from how you must shake it before drinking it: shamrock. These different types of shot drink colors are unique, and it's green on top, white in the middle, and red on the bottom.

PB&J (Shaken Shot)

2 oz. Chocolate Liqueur, 2 oz. Peanut Butter Liqueur, 3 oz. Orange Juice, Ice, and Whipped Cream for garnish. Use a shaker and blender with ice.
You blend all ingredients until smooth before pouring them into shot glasses. Then rim your glass with peanut butter and sugar.
And turning it upside down in an orange juice glass to dip gives it a fantastic taste. Also called a Wham Bam or a Bam Bam! This is an excellent different type of hot drink.
It tastes like you spent hours making it (which you did) but takes only seconds to prepare!

Spicy Pineapple Shot

This type of shot drink is as good for you as delicious, unlike many other different types of hot drinks. Served in a small glass, add just a splash of Bacardi 151-proof rum and fill it with pineapple juice.
Then top it with fresh slices of jalapeno pepper. Be careful – you can't taste precisely how spicy they are! Warning: The natural heat here comes from both ends, first in your mouth with that hot pepper flavor and then – surprise! — at the end, you get a little burn from all that liquor.

Blue Kamikaze

This type of shot drink is made by mixing one part vodka, 1 part blue curacao, and two parts sweet and sour mix. Pour ingredients over ice cubes in a shot glass—drop shot into a collins glass filled with beer and serve.

Young Puss

11⁄2 ounces peach schnapps, 1⁄2 ounce melon liqueur. One tablespoon orange juice, dash grenadine syrup. Shake with ice; strain into a shot glass, and serve chilled.

Merry Gorilla

Two-ounce banana-flavored rum, 1⁄4 ounce coconut-flavored rum (or 1⁄2 ounce dark rum). Also, one scoop of vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt, 11⁄2 ounces pineapple juice. Blend well with crushed ice in blender; pour into shooter glasses.

BMW (Shaken Shot)

The BMW shot is made with Jägermeister, Bacardi 151 Rum, and Red Bull. A BMW contains about as much alcohol as a six-pack, according to Business Insider.

Lumpy Dumpy (Shaken Shot)

The Lumpy Dumpling is made with Bailey's Irish Cream, Kahlúa, and a splash of Coca-Cola. These different types of hot drinks will leave you feeling dazed and confused—in other words, lumpy dumplings! The Irish cream should help counteract any nausea from consuming such large amounts of alcohol in one sitting.

Butterball

Liquor is dropped into a hot glass of black butter. It quickly separates into yellow fat (the drink) and brownish-gray scum (the bull). The scum is chased with a spoon.
Toby Maloney invented these different types of shot drinks at Chicago's Violet Hour bar. The name comes from its appearance—it looks like turkey gravy—and also because it kicks like one.

Cement Mixer

This combination tastes like a sweet, fruity version of Jägermeister—with a kick. Mix equal parts orange juice and Malibu coconut rum for this type of shot drink. Consequently, you can use these proportions for different shot drinks you prefer.
One part rye whiskey, two parts fresh lemon juice, and 1 part orange juice. Put them all in a cocktail shaker with ice, then add one scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Shake vigorously (or blend) until well mixed, then strain into two shot glasses through a fine-mesh strainer. Enjoy! It tastes just like Cement Mixer!

Chocolate Cake (Shaken Shot)

This shot drink is made with Irish cream and brown crème de cacao, and it's topped with whipped cream and chocolate cake sprinkles. Furthermore, the Ingredients are 2 oz. Bailey's Irish cream liqueur; 1 oz. crème de cacao (dark chocolate).
For the whipped cream, chocolate cake sprinkles. Instructions: Pour Bailey's Irish Cream into a glass and top with Crème de Cacao. Garnish it with a swirl of whipped cream and sprinkles.

Flaming Dr. Pepper (Bomb Shot)

This type of shot drink is made by dropping a flaming Dr. Pepper bomb into a pint glass filled with beer. If that sounds difficult, it's because it is.
Getting both lit and in place without extinguishing your drink or starting an unfortunate conflagration takes practice.
It's worth it, though. However, once you pop open a flaming drink, you can use that same fire for many other shots (see below). However, you get a different type of shot drink taste!

Flaming Jägermeister

Once you get started doing flaming shots, you can do lots of fun things with them. This shot involves dropping a single full Jägermeister shot into a pint glass filled with beer. Lighting it on fire and then chugging away before all of your alcohol burns off.

Four Horsemen

Many Americans recognize that Four Horsemen is also an excellent different type of shot drink. Moreover, these four drinks are made with Tequila, Jagermeister, Rumple Minze, and peppermint schnapps—and they're ready for action! They're easy to prepare.
To make it easy on yourself:
  1. Try making them in layers.
  2. Mix a couple of tablespoons of each shot into equal parts (by volume) of cream liqueur and sour mix.
  3. Top each glass off with cola or root beer and stir it.
You can rim your glasses with salt or sugar, but it's optional!

Irish Car Bomb

This recipe is for one shot and has quite a bit going on. This shot drink is made by placing Irish whiskey, Bailey's Irish Cream, and Jameson in a pint glass. Therefore, you dropped them into a cup of coffee.
The coffee works as an accelerant to make all three ingredients pour more quickly. Better than if they were just run individually. A spoon is used to stir until it's evenly mixed.
Lastly, add whipped cream with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top for extra flair. This, however, creates different types of hot drinks!

Jolly Rancher

This candy-inspired shot includes vodka, are ̀me de Menthe, and Irish cream liqueur. Trust us. This is one you won't want to miss. (via The Tipsy Bartender) First off, these are shots, not a drink!
There are no mixers involved, and it's just straight liquor poured into a glass with some flavoring agent or sweetener. And they have shot drinks! Shots can be sweet or sour, transparent or opaque.
It can have different liquors depending on what flavor profile you're going for, even though there is no limit to creating different types of shot drinks flavors.
You make sure your liquids don't contain any additives, preventing them from being consumed quickly (such as water).

Red Snapper

It's not a fish! The red snapper is one type of shooter. This type of shot drink starts with one shot of Bacardi 151 (the most substantial variety).
Followed by 1 shot each from amaretto, blue curacao, creme de banana, Jagermeister, and Tuaca. While known for being potent, these different types of shot drinks don't taste as strong as you would think.

Lime Drop

A lime drop shot is made by adding equal parts water and sugar syrup, 1/2 oz. Vodka, and 2 tsp. Lime juice. The mixture is then shaken over ice and into a shot glass before it's garnished with a wedge of lime.
Depending on your preference, it can also be served straight up without mixing. Suppose you want to mix things up even more.
Attempt making a Watermelon Lime Drop by replacing some or all of the water in your recipe with watermelon juice! These different hot drink types will give you an entirely new flavor perfect for summertime parties.
Conclusion
So whether you're looking for something substantial, sweet, fruity, or alcoholic, these different types of shot drinks are all delicious ways to get your party started. And if you don't have any alcohol on hand? No worries—these recipes will still make a great party drink. Enjoy!

2024.06.08 17:22 Cheska1234 Recently diagnosed son (22) but doesn’t sound right?

My son was just diagnosed off a blood test 3ish weeks ago but only met with the dr two days ago. He had an A1c of 11 and a sugar of 280 on the test. We were concerned so immediately put him on keto. Two days ago the nurse at his sr office said he had been recently diagnosed with diabetes (note the dr not anyone else told us it was a dx ever) and she wanted to talk nutrition etc. Since then they gave him an at home monitor and every reading has been 130 or lower, fasting and non. He’s feeling great with the dietary changes and has started exercising a bit. We do accept that he has type 2 due to the tests.
Here’s my questions: 1) he’s on the autism spectrum and is living in a panic attack pretty much over thinking he’s going to die if he does anything wrong based on the dr recommendations but the dr and the nutritionist don’t agree on what kind of diet he should be on so I suggested we stay on low carb for now and see how it goes. He’s still extremely anxious but is doing it. Is this an ok diet for someone in his situation? The dnutritionist said conflicting things like no cholesterol, no sodium, no sugar, no fats, no red meat but watch your iron, vitamin supplements don’t help but take them, etc. I couldn’t wrap my head around it but now he’s almost afraid to eat. What actually matters with diabetes? Websites all contradict each other and some make all the same claims as above but that isn’t realistic. 2) is there anything yall can think of that I can do to help support him? He’s got hEDs so I push for walks but they get painful for him quickly. I have gotten rid of everything in the kitchen that would be truly bad for him and forbade it from coming in the house unless it went to specific bedrooms and out of sight. I keep up on him vitamins and collagen supplements.
