Hi, sorry if this is the wrong sub, new to reddit!
I'm a US citizen. Last year I lost my US passport, reported it lost, and got a replacement. Then I found the lost one again and kept it in my house. I only travel with my current, valid passport.
I went abroad a few months ago. When I got back, I mentioned at the immigration checkpoint that I'd found my lost passport. The CBP agent said that it was government property, and I had to send it in. He said he would mark this on my record and that if I didn't send in my lost passport, CBP would detain me in the future each time I came into the US to make sure I am not an imposter.
I haven't received any communication from CBP about where to send my lost passport, and haven't been able to find any records online of this happening to others. The US .gov websites say to keep passports that are reported lost and found again. I called the National Passport Agency to confirm. I tried calling CBP as well but haven't been able to find information on this or get a human being on the line.
I'm traveling to Latin America soon and want to make sure I'm not detained on the way back -- any advice on what to do?
I will bring my driver's license, proof of employment, proof of residence in the US etc.

I still can't get AE to perform well on my M2 Macbook Pro running Sonoma 14.0 and AE 24.3. 32 GBs RAM — so obviously that's going to be immediate the culprit, but I do suspect that I could do pretty much anything I wanted on this computer if I could just optimize it correctly. That's what this thread is about. I know there are a million threads like this one but hopefully we can dig up some new dirt. I haven't really written about Sonoma but what I've read seems to indicate a lot of people have had issues. I'm not an OS guy I get enough of a headache with the shit I care about. Not sure if downgrading is possible. Maybe I upgrade my RAM (whoops hee hee nvm forgot i was on an apple computer).
You can stop reading there, because the rest of this is schizo nonsense. I've sobered up and I can't say that any mother would accept a child this ugly. But with this magic hack, all those dismembered and charred bits of corpse gets insta sorted into the proper bin! And now your project panel doesn't look like shit and you can screen record while you troubleshoot some issues with an Adobe representative without feeling embarrassed. (maybe if he see it, we can get some sorting function that automatically puts comps in a specific folder (or files of any type into a pre-ordained folder, either in Pr or Ae would be cool. It's not like there are a million plugins that do the exact same shit. I'd rather anime ai waifu available at the click of a button though. Frankly, AE is such a shitshow. It's old as fuck in a way that none of the other major apps are. Like Photoshop feels stuck in the 90s in the same way but at least its code isn't fucked beyond belief and it's relatively easy to diagnose problems (maybe you need to put more thought into performance for something that generates 24 images a second, but who knows? Not Adobe. Btw, wtf is up with caches in PS? Why are they so fucking greedy for all my data. Fuck you I want space and to have you open in the background. Seriously PS is old and I feel like no one points it out because you can just use Illustrator but fuck that I can't draw mfer)**
**I am going to be spending the next three weeks making animations for about 50 reels, to pair with some other branding deliverables for Youtube and the client's website. It's a huge project and one that I scored by advertising a diverse skill set (I apologize to the specialists but we're all going to have to adjust to foreigners in our lands — if you're American this should sound like a founding ideal more than a problem).

I recently applied for a national sales executive position with an insurance company that was looking to fill a position on July 1st. The interview process started in March. I was willing to stick out for 4 months for this position because it was desirable job and high income. I was told all along they were hiring three candidates. Was in the final stages of interviewing and the hiring manager completely ghosted me after months courting me. One of the reasons I applied was because i understood they needed to fill 3 positions which made me feel i had better chance. They offered a position to another candidate but didnt tell me they werent considering me any longer--they felt ghosting was their preference. They pulled the position from their website. About 3 weeks after they filled the position, they sent me reject email. Then the next day they reposted the position. My question to anyone in the know, is that some sort of legal maneuver to avert discrimination tactic? They clearly didnt want me and get this I had 10 years in this field, completed over 5000 enrollments for a competitor businesses, had endorsement from 7 internal employees with this company, including 3 in leadership role and glowing endorsement from previous sales director. Legal is the only reason I can think of for filling the position, formally rejecting candidates and then reposting. Is that shady or what? Even if it was a budgetary thing where they just got approval for another position, they would have been in communication with me or recontacted me if they got approval after rejecting me if they were interested in me. i then filed a complaint with CEO and HR ratting the hiring manager out for ghosting me because he had reputation among other applicants and letting me find out from the streets peers vs the company that I was no longer being considered. Has anyone else had this happen, getting rejection closing out req, then reopening that same week?

- If you have an insurable rate: Ie: you bought with 5-20% downpayment you can request to have your amortization extended back to 25 years or the amortization that your insurer gave you. - Insured and Insurable rates are BETTER than Conventional rates. Insured loans are less risk to lenders = better rates. I know more money down means very little, sorry. Also, purchase rates are different than refinance rates. Don't trust the rates you see online, 99% of them are for 5% down purchases.
- Are your payments too high? Look at refinancing and extending out your amortization to 30 years temporarily for a few years until rates come back to earth. Take a 4 or 5-year LOW rate with a lender that doesn't have HUGE penalties to break your mortgage. Banks have big penalties, Credit Unions and Monline lenders don't (ie MCAP, First National, RMG, etc)
- If in 3 years, rates are down, analyze if refinancing for that new rate is a good idea. Use a mortgage broker for this.

My fiance and I have struggled with her spending problems over years. As a teenager, she was given a CC with a 20k cap. She was never taught how to properly use it and pretty much went crazy with it. She still has issues controlling her debt and now this is a wake up call. Her bank is finally asking for interest on her now maxed out 25k CC and we are considering bankruptcy. I don’t know where to begin other than calling her bank and attempting to lower her interest rates so she can continue paying inch by inch. My mom told me we should look into a national debt relief program before considering bankruptcy.
