The Target I stopped at today had two mystery boxes, and I shouldn't have, but I bought one. Chose the one in the back, I think I picked right

Astounding used to do polls of the fans' favorite stories from every issues, so I thought it would be interesting to look up all the #1 stories. I used July 1939, the issue where The Black Destroyer was the cover story, as my starting point, because that's usually cited as a seminal issue. Since Campbell's preoccupation with Dianetics and other psuedo-science is blamed for ending his greatest period, I made the issue where the original Dianetics essay was published the end of my survey. I should be noted that this isn't a complete representation of Campbell's editorial work during that era. He edited the fantasy magazine Unknown from 1939-1943, featuring alot of the same writers who contributed to Astounding, but as far as I can see, there are no polls in Unknown.

Some background first: the Gnome Investigator is a scribe by way of the profession skill, so I had a mysterious package arrive for her with naught but her name on the package. The pure terror and joy the table felt when I revealed what it was... I actually bought a beautifully crafted DomT from Etsy, but it was for 5e (easy enough to translate to PF1e though!).
Anyway, I explained the rules: you say how many you want to pull, and if you don't pull that amount, they pull themselves. Originally I decide once per day one character can pull (to prevent the party from neutering itself with stupid desicions). I very quickly said once per session, and you'll see why.
First, the Gnome Investigator said she wants four cards. Shuffle, shuffle.
First pull, Gem! She's rich!
Second pull, Donjon! She's gone!
Third pull, The Fates! She's back and rich again! (I ruled since she was in the donjon that the card would fall to the ground and someone else could use it to restore her.)
Fourth, the Throne! She got a nice boost to an already good Diplomacy skill and her own castle... She wishes it to appear on her families land AWAY from her parents house. I promise I wasn't going to drop a castle on them...!
After that, the Kitsune Vigilante wanted to pull. Remember this is technically a 5e deck because:
First pull, the Dragon! They have to fight a dragon now, theyre at level 7, but at a time and place I choose. (I couldn't have them fight it then and there for story reasons). This will happen very soon.
Second pull, the Sun! He levels up auto-magically and also get a magic item (Headband of Counterspelling). No one is a wizard or a spell caster so, he sells it off for 20k gold.
Third, is the Eurylate (sp?). He takes a permanent -1 to all saves! Ouch.
Finally, the Angel (3rd party class/race thing) wanted to pull. Two pulls...
First pull, the Idiot! Ouch! He loses 3 points of Int! It drops to 9!
Second pull, the Knight! He has his own personal knight now! I made a sheet beforehand just in case...
Now, I said let's continue the game, things we're going off the rails but we were having a fun time with it.
Then the dragon. A Juvenile Red Dragon, CR 11. They are level 7 (the vigilante is now 8 but still). Boy that was a fight. Sadly the knight got eaten trying to bum rush the dragon to protect her charge. No player died amazingly, and the Windstep Monk really shone here, air walling to punch the dragon! They did have trouble with the severe lack of spells or ranged attack, and the dragons breath attack wreaked havoc on them! But they prevailed.
Towards the end of the session I let one.more person pull, the Oread Monk. He bravely selected two pulls.
First pull, was Balance. Well he's true neutral so I ruled nothing happened since there's no opposite to true neutral. Whew.
Second pull... the Moon! I roll a d4 and come up with 4 wishes he gets.. everyone loses their shit! Beggins to use the wishes, offering 50k gold (the gnome) to use one, all sorts of stuff. But the monk is smart. The monk immediately knows what he wants. The monk wants to be....bigger.
He wishes, in order:
Enlarge. Permanancy. +1 to Strength. He undoes the Vigilante's Eurylate pull. Nice guy.
Well now the monk is Large, literally a mountain. And the only person that didn't pull was the Cleric (she kept fussing at everyone for pulling cards because it's dangerous. They are a chaotic bunch!)
So the session continues, everyone's having a blast. At the end I announce once per SESSION someone can pull cards. And at the end of ever session, the Gnome (being the true owner of the artifact) will roll a d100. On a 1-49, the deck disappears. On a 50-100, it remains. She rolls a 64! She keeps it another session!
I didn't tell them, but I also have a custom deck that has 24 new types of cards. I will be changing them in and out with the actual DomT, just to mess with them and sow even more chaos!
I know it's foolish to give a party such a powerful thing, but hey, everyone had fun! And no one died....yet....
Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Remember, just because I may not have played it exactly how the rules say, we still had a blast and everyone was talking about it after the game!

Hello! I went to the June 7th transfer orientation and I thought it would be beneficial to others to share some tips and what to expect!

• definitely park in the south garage and come a bit early, like 7:15-7:30 early because I found parking pretty fast and the line for check-in wasn’t too long when I came.
  
• if you haven’t already, submit your picture for the tower ID card because they give it to you at check-in along with a name tag so that’s pretty cool.
  
• breakfast is provided for you if this is something that you are worried about! For us it was coffee, muffins, fruit, danishes, and some bagels with cream cheese (if they don’t run out of cream cheese) —also, the coffee did not have those coffee holder things around the cup or a lid so it was pretty hot 😭😭
  

—lunch is also provided for you, you eat at the dining commons.

• next, there’s gonna be this super long ass welcome presentation and the building is cold as HELL!! It doesn’t matter if it’s hot outside, that AC was working overtime! So make sure you bring like a cardigan or a light sweater or something.

-also, if you meet someone that you vibed with before this welcoming presentation, PLEASE be sure to get their Instagram or socials or even their number because they will divide you into groups after the presentation and you will (most likely) never see them again—especially if your major is different😭
—After the welcome presentation, they dismiss you by these numbers on your name tag to form a group. The group leader and the group are going to be with you doing ice breakers, leading you to a ball room to learn about diversity, equality and creating a safe space. During this time, you will probably make friends (or not, who knows)
—bring a portable charger because they do QR codes and surveys throughout the presentations.
— tbh, the internet was so ass in the building for the registering for courses presentation. Not even my hot spot could save me.
— it doesn’t matter if you bring a laptop or tablet. For us, the transcripts didn’t matter they didn’t ask for it. They also didn’t care if you completed the upper division writing course because at the end of the day, you enroll for it yourselves. (Again, this was for my experience because my major is extremely different.)
— I’m not sure how it was like for everyone else, but my major is a cohort and so we got to registeenroll for classes when we met with our advisors. But other people told us they didn’t enroll the day of so…not sure? Maybe someone can talk about their experience here!
— literally, you can leave after the registration/advisor meet up is over. The resource fair was cool but many left at 4:00-4:45 or what not.

My current phone (Samsung Galaxy A32 5G) is currently setup with Straight Talk, and I just go to Walmart and buy a new Straight Talk card every month to renew my service plan. Also, my phone doesn't support eSIM.
I'm going to be traveling in Japan from June 18 to July 14, and since Straight Talk doesn't provide any coverage in Japan, I was thinking of switching to AT&T but I am very hesitant because AT&T has screwed my family over several times with ridiculous costs...
Anyway, I've heard that the international coverage for AT&T in Japan is pretty good, so I was thinking of getting the Unlimited $25/mo. for 12 months and the $10.00/30 days international add-on. However, of course, I'm only going to be traveling for one month, and then afterwards I would like to cancel all my services with AT&T and go back to Straight Talk, but I don't know how that would work, like if I would have to pay some kind of early termination fee or something.
If possible, I'd like to avoid using AT&T at all but it seems to be the only real viable carrier that I can use for Japan-to-U.S. call/text.

I’m living an episode of Dr Phil and I still can’t believe it. I need some advice. My mom (72 widow) had been dropping hints that she was “talking to someone new” and my daughter saw a notification on her phone. The name was of a young famous actor. I immediately knew it was a scam but we were able to get a hold of her phone for further investigation. He requested her on Facebook from an obviously fake profile then somehow started talking to her on WhatsApp and Zangi. Scrolling through there messages we found he was doing very little talking besides saying “love” “babe” and asking her for money for his “sick son”. She deleted some of the messages but left enough evidence for us to see she fell victim to a gift card scam. She bought at least one, but possibly multiple gift cards and sent them to him a month ago. She’s in no financial position to be giving out money. She ended up telling us about him, but only half the story and she believe he was going to be meeting her at the airport. She said “just wait you’ll see” when we said he’s probably a catfish. She doesn’t know we know about the money so she’s lied and said he didn’t ask for anything and she didn’t send it. We showed her a bunch of articles about scammers, many of which included the exact actors name. Friends of hers have fell for gift card scams in the past, so she is reasonably informed. She said she was deciding to stop talking to him and we saw she messaged him that she’s done and that he’s a scammer. Not even two weeks later my daughter oversees the guys name popping up on her phone again. My mom also tells me she went to AT&T and the guy “told her to get a new passcode and not tell anyone.” We eventually get hold of it and figure out the passcode and see she’s continuing to message him. Haven’t seen any signs of her sending money but who knows. It’s just sad at this point and honestly deeper than the money. She’s texting him that she loves him and is feeling so sick since she can’t see him. Again, his responses are so minimal and barely legible, he doesn’t even need to try hard to manipulate. I don’t know what steps to take. She gets angry, defensive, and straight up lies, especially when it comes to money and men. I also carry guilt from having to sneak and check her phone as if she’s a misbehaving teenager. My best idea so far is to get into her phone and block him on all the apps. My only concern is that it will somehow show her that he’s been blocked and then she will just find how to unblock him. Idk .. any advice? Sorry this is a lot.

So I recently just celebrated my 1 1/2 years on HRT and getting my name and documents changed. Have been really excited and positive. However I noticed my boobs are shrinking and not sure what is going on? I know some fluctuation is normal. I was at a very noticable and solid 34B and then all the sudden they've just vanished. I noticed while wearing one of my sleep shirts that is kinda see thru that they were barely noticable. And for a couple weeks I've been taking pics to try and figure out if I'm just being dismorphic and just worrying for nothing. But after comparing pics from 3-4 months ago almost all of the shapes and definitions is gone and besides my nipples I just look like I have a masculine chest. Maybe it's all in my head but my levels have been good. My T is almost all the way down at 12 and my E has been high like really High that my doctor cut my dosage from 0.5ml shots once a week to 0.2 twice a week to help keep a constant level. I stopped taking progesterone about a month ago because I was worried about DHT conversion and my body not really having any noticeable change I'm also Intersex and have De La Chapelle syndrome and XX Chromosomes so maybe that has to do with my sensitivity to E. Just wondering if anyone has advice

throwaway in case anyone recognizes this. I met this guy on a dating app and I found him very attractive and he wore this very nice suit in the picture so i swiped right. we got to talking and he mentions he is a real estate agent of 7 years and I figured he made a lot of money/had a good job so I found him very attractive from the get-go.
after a few dates things get pretty serious between us and he eventually hands me a few of his business cards. he's always hammering it in that he is a real estate agent and no matter where we go he's putting his business cards in the dinner bills or finding some way to bring it up into conversation. we can't even just enjoy a simple dinner date without him dressing up in fancy attire and wearing a name badge that says 'realtor" on it.
there's even been one time where we are out on a date and he gets recognized and someone says "you're the real estate guy!" followed by them asking "and is that miss real estate?", its like he's a mini celebrity or something.
like one time as he is dropping me off from dinner and he notices a garage sale sign and he turns around and when I ask him what he wanted from there he just said "Nothing, I just wanted to hand out my cards in someway", so there we are and he's making small talk and he's buying one thing and mentions he's an agent and people ask if he can find out how much their house is worth and I'm just rolling my eyes. we can't even get a break.
TL;DR the guy I'm dating is obsessed with his job and it puts such an awkward spotlight on me. I don't know what to really do because I've never really been "out there" like that and he's always doing something related to his career and I wish he'd focus more on me instead of real estate.
