Growth on dog’s back leg/hip area

2023.04.09 21:31 YoWhatsGoodie Growth on dog’s back leg/hip area

I was brushing my dog when I noticed this growth near his hip. When I brushed in that area he started to lick it a lot but other than that he doesn’t show much discomfort when I touch it.
I’ll be making a vet appointment tomorrow but was curious if anyone has seen something like this. He’s about 10-12 years old.
• Species: Canine
• Age: 10-12 years
• Sex/Neuter status: Male- neutered
• Breed: Poodle/Bijon mix
• Body weight: 17lb
• History: no health issues other than having teeth removed from decay
• Clinical signs: unsure
• Duration: just noticed
• Your general location: Southern USA
• Links to any test results, X-rays, vet reports etc. that you have: none https://imgur.com/a/Ck6OX0U

2023.04.05 22:58 lilmssunshine888 Missed a dog on the app

I've only been doing this a year. I took a house-sitting gig with 3 dogs near my home. Turns out there's a 6 month old black lab puppy that they didn't list on the website. Only the 14yo poodle & the adult 4yo labrador. As you can imagine, it's chaos almost constantly. The Bijon is not having any of the puppy's nonsense and the adult lab play-wrestles constantly. The adult black lab barks in the middle of the night, which has me jumping out of my skin. But, middle of the night is the only time the puppy is crated. I'm also deprived on the 4th day and exhausted. Annoyed, too. I don't normally watch puppies. How would you approach them about paying me for watching the puppy??

2016.09.25 17:11 Coolcoolxx Adult dog will not stop barking - please help me.

Hi everyone,
So I have a poodle/Bijon frise mixed dog. She is a little over two years old, and originally lived with my mum and little brother who didn't train her as well as they could have.
Several weeks ago my mum's house flooded and I have to take the dog for a little while to live with me and my housemates (college students). She is very used to me, but barks all the time. When meeting new people, if someone comes home or is leaving, if someone comes/goes up and down the stairs, various reasons like that and all aimed at the people who are in the house. How can I teach her to stop? I would be fierce with a regimen, I just can't handle all the barking/upsetting my roommates. I don't even know how to start. I will hold her mouth and say "no bark" but she will try anyway, or stop and do it again later.
Thank you so much!

2016.06.04 22:35 SilkSk1 We lost our dog on the Richter Park golf course in Danbury. Can you guys help find him?

His name is Gimli and he's a 9 year old Bijon/Poodle mix. He ran off during a walk on the red hiking trail of Richter Park golf course and never came back.
He's been missing since Friday the 3rd of June (yesterday as of this post) so if anyone finds him please let me know.
EDIT: He's been found! The local animal shelter picked him up.

2011.11.18 17:41 aristacat I got a puppy that is super cute, but is making me lose my whits. Help!

So, my wife and I got a new puppy last Saturday. I have been working from home all week to try and get him and me in the groove of things. My wife is planning on taking all of next week off also. He is a really cute and fun pup (Bijon Poodle mix) and has brought us lots of joy.......until he started showing his bad side. We have him trained to go to the pee pad right now since he hasn't had all his shots and we live in on the 12th floor (can't walk on leash yet either). He does fine with the house breaking, but I can't get him to stop whining. I have been putting him in the kennel for two hours bits of time (he is 10 1/2 weeks). At first I was working in the living room and placing him in the kennel. I also tried putting him in the kennel and going to work for a couple of hours as a trial. I put him on puppy cam and saw that he was going nuts whining in his kennel. I'm worried about him hurting himself and about my neighbors giving me a hard time. Today I have been trying to put him in his kennel and staying in the bedroom to work. He has started whining again, but it's really hard to make him stop. "Shhhh" used to work, or a clap. He gets so agitated though that he won't stop for a while. He was going for like 5 minutes but I won't go to him of course so I don't let him know that he will get attention for whining. Anyway, I just want to make things comfortable for him so he won't go crazy when I start leaving him alone for regular intervals, and I don't want my neighbors on my case.tl;dr: My puppy won't stop whining when I am not in the room with him.
