There are a few cars that I'd be interested in purchasing if I ran across one. Things like an E30 318 BMW or an old W116 Mercedes. However, I really want to find the diamond in the rough -- the car that's been very well-maintained, has service records, manual transmission, etc. A fairly specific set of criteria. These cars exist, but are hard to find and require a lot of filtering.
I don't have nor want to spend hours and hours scouring the various boards, craigslist ads, ebay listings, etc. to find that one perfect car. Surely there are companies/people out there you can hire with the experience and knowledge to do exactly this? I know the services exist for super high end cars (Duesenbergs, etc.). Anything for more modest older cars like the ones I mentioned?
Any pointers?
