Found on Facebook marketplace. I'm currently learning, so I do not know if this is worth the price with its age. I want to build something that will work for cloud storage and running Plex. I am currently using a Dell EliteDesk I picked up, but wanted to build something more serious.
The specs are below that I copied from the posting. The price is $300. Any information or advice would be very helpful!

I'm currently looking into sharing my internet with my neighbor.
TLDR: I need an access point under 100 $ that is good for a (3 1/2) apartment.
It doesn't need to be last gen fast since my neighbor is an elder doing Facebook stuff.
I will be using opnsense on ProxMox to separate our network.

Que tal, primero que nada, pues estoy usando un usuario nuevo, por seguridad (al menos eso pienso).
TLTR
Tengo una hipoteca en Santander con un credito para los gastos notariales. (Actual 1.3M + 130K)
Bueno, el punto es que pues todo comenzo como en 2019 con las criptos y luego la pandemia.
Tenia cerca de 40-60K en deudas en las TDC, y pues queria ver la forma de ganar algo rapido para liquidar las tarjetas, tenia 3 en ese tiempo (Banamex Bsmart, Santander UniK y Santander Fiesta Rewards Oro). Siempre he sido de pagar todo, pero por diversas cuestiones, tuve que ir pagando el minimo o mas del minimo, hasta que llegue al punto de acumular ese rango, la verdad no recuerdo bien en este momento.

Y pues hice un excel donde llevaba control de lo que tenia, empece con Bitso, luego conoci Binance y casi con obsesion, empece a revisar dia con dia como iba todo, para lograr mi objetivo. Liquidar todo.
Conocia muy poco sinceramente de las criptomonedas, y pues como todo, bajaba, subia, etcetera. Para cuando llego la pandemia, pues en ese marzo de 2020 que cayo mucho, pues se venia mi primer hijo y pues para ese entonces, aun tenia la deuda y seguia creciendo, a pesar de pagar los minimos y aparte la casa. Jugaba con las fechas para poder pagar sin afectar tanto.

El problema, que pues fallecio un tio (no por covid) luego mi abuelita, y pues me sentia mal, porque no podia aportar mas, aunque entre toda la familia pues nos cooperamos y salimos de esa. Pero bueno, igual nacio mi hijo, y afortunadamente pues tenemos seguro de gastos medicos. Pero pues se venian obviamente mas gastos.
Ya para 2021 empezo mas el boom de las criptos, BTC superando su antiguo ATH, yo siguiendo dia a dia, y pues aqui es donde empieza lo malo, descubri como comprar criptomonedas con las TDC y dedici apostar (porque no veo otra mejor palabra para expresar lo que hice).
Total que pues tambien de vez en cuando jugaba loteria, y me saque un premio de 30K aprox, me ofrecieron una TDC en mi nomina BBVA (Platinum) y la agarre, igual compre mas criptos, mi afore en Banorte, igual me ofrecieron TDC (Oro), la agarre e igual hice lo mismo, segui comprando criptos, incluso hasta hacia Futuros, crei que traia buena racha, en mi excel vi como iba subiendo los montos (Activos - Pasivos = Deudas que se pagaban), pero pues ya me sentia muy seguro que ya podia pagar, se llego Mayo 2021, el dolar aprox a 20 pesos, y yo con una cuenta de aprox 120K USD, vs 100K USD en deudas (TDC + Credito + Hipoteca). Y en eso cumplia su primer año mi hijo y pues hicimos un viaje a Real de Catorce. ademas que queriamos comprar una SUV para viajar. La verdad la pase muy bien, pero la señal celular no era muy buena, asi que ahi fue cuando empezaron a bajar todo. No lo niego, creo que si hice algunos retiros grandes, pero nunca todo porque seguia subiendo todo. Excepto en ese mes, que empezo a caer y pues, asi fue como en las tarjetas tenia tanta deuda, cerca de 900K entre las 6 tarjetas.
Con mi sueldo apenas si pagaba ya los minimos, y usaba el saldo revolvente para los gastos mensuales.
En fin, fui vaciando mis criptos, poco a poco para ir pagando los minimos, con la esperanza de recuperarme. Pero hasta la fecha no ha sido asi.
Trate de cambiar mi hipoteca + credito de liquidez, en unos 10 bancos e instituciones, y debido a lo tardado, pues algunas tarjetas las deje de pagar. Incluso varias veces tarde en pagar la hipoteca, he llegado a utilizar MercadoCredito, Didi Prestamos y hasta ahi, ya no quiero buscar un prestamo chico.
Tambien mencionar que servi de prestanombre para que un amigo sacara su primer carro de agencia, que hasta la fecha no he tenido problemas en que pague.
Incluso acudi a pedir el Mejoravit, que por no saber bien, de 130K que me prestaron, 40K se fueron al que me hizo el tramite.
La nomina en BBVA tiene portabilidad a Santander.

Resumen hasta hoy:
2 TDC Banamex (Oro + Bsmart, 500K), ya con 6 meses de atraso y en llamadas de cobranza. Deuda de 500K aprox, aunque con 150K combinado pues ya me hacen la quita, pero obviamente no cuento con tal cantidad.
1 TDC Banorte (Oro, 203K), al corriente pero con el saldo diferido y ya con Pago minimo ya subiendo. (9K aprox)
2 TDC Santander (Unik 81K, Oro 88K), al corriente pero a veces con problemas para pagar los minimos.
1 TDC BBVA (nomina, 190K), tambien al corriente y a veces con problemas para pagar en fecha (como 9K mensuales)

Ya sin contar lo de las TDC, pues traigo un deficit como de 27.5K que se me sigue acumulando, la verdad con tanto moviendo en jugar con fechas, ya estoy en punto donde no se que mas hacer.

Como dato, el año pasado nacio mi hija, asi que ya somos 4 de familia. Mi esposa trabaja y no gana mucho, obviamente no he platicado con ella, ya que tambien fallecio mi suegra por cancer hace meses y pues nos la hemos visto dificil con prestamos de ella tambien, pero que de alguna forma le ayudo. Igual mi suegro ha tenido operaciones oculares y de rodilla, que pues la verdad esta dificil ya que no hay mucha familia por su lado.

He estado investigando como obtener creditos sin buro, usureros y asi, pero la verdad no he sabido con quien acudir, Se que es mi culpa por la falta de educacion financiera, pero creanme que ya he aprendido mucho con todo esto y a cuidar y recortar a lo mas necesario.
Incluso he acudido a financieras de dudosa procedencia que pues me han querido estafar, asi que pues ya hasta cierto punto aprendi eso tambien.

Sinceramente, no quisiera comentar con mi esposa, porque sigue en duelo y pues no lo veo muy conveniente (aun).
No quiero dejar de pagar ya que es muy estresante recibir decenas de llamadas todos los dias.
TDCs Santander no puedo dejar de pagar ya que se cobran a lo chino cuando cae el dinero por portabilidad, TDC BBVA misma situacion, ya que igual ahi cae el deposito de nomina inicial y pues no. La unica seria TDC Banorte dejar de pagar pero seria meterme ya con otro banco a dejar de pagar.
Alguna institucion que NO sea Curatudeuda o similares, que te recomiendan dejar de pagar para que se ahorre aparte?

PD. Tengo intenciones de agarrar algun trabajo remoto, y estoy aprendiendo programacion para lograr eso, pero pues para llegar a ese punto, creo que me ganara el tiempo/deudas. Igual hago trabajos de reparacion de equipos industriales como algo alterno cuando salen trabajos. O tambien compravender cosas por Facebook cuando se puede.

1. -Bibliotecas de finguerprinting públicas
2. Capturar leaks de plataformas especificas. (procure por repositórios de patches em bibliotecas de automação, você pode ver oque eles mudaram e comparar com o repositório original, provavelmente verá eles tirando strings de referência a biblioteca, por exemplo, comece por ae!)
3. -Codar um ofuscador e loader dinâmico custom.
4. -Técnicas anti-debugging
5. -Capctha custom.

Tudo isso, porém, um profissional competente em web-scrapping """tira de letra""" , infelizmente a realidade é, sem cascalho você somente estará protegido contra noobs! Mas ainda sim, acredito que diminuirá o tráfego de bots (que normalmente vem de crawlers) em mais de 50%, so com um canvas fingerprinting .
Caso seja dono de um site grande e com recursos, primeiramente deve-se perguntar o seguinte, a informação que está protegendo é tão importante assim?

-Se é o seu caso, eu imploro (a não ser que realmente tenha alguns milhões sobrando para investir somente nisso, que também, se for o caso, não sei porque está lendo esse post.), não desenvolva soluções de proteção internamente, você provavelmente não vai fazer melhor que empresas já consolidadas nesse ramo (como datadome/arkoselabs/F5 Shape Security ) e assim como várias grandes empresas de tecnologia do país, passará vergonha :/ .

E em segundo lugar, não seria seu problema somente o grande número de requests de robôs que chegam a lagar os servers?

-Lembre-se, às vezes é melhor você só ceder uma api para esses scrapers sedentos :).

Mas o fato é, até mesmo empresas gigantes como o google, youtube, facebook, linkedin ... Que enfiam bilhões e bilhões de dólares goela a baixo em sistemas de defesa e identificação de bots e crawlers, a indústria de ad é a maior investidora (100M$. ui) nessas tecnologias,, e mesmo assim não conseguem parar efetivamente bots/crawlers. Ad-fraude é um problema gravíssimo hoje em dia !
Quantas vezes você não viu bot farms de árabes no instagram e facebook? Vídeos e tweets com milhões de views e comentários repetidos clamando por algum político? Olhe os próprios tweets do elon musk, 3 em 4 respostas é um scan de cripto.
Isso não é por incompetência dessas empresas, mas sim um problema que também vemos em DRMs, hackers de jogos online, etc. Por exemplo, o fps valorant, também conhecido como valval, te faz instalar um anti-cheat chamado Vanguard, ele é tão intrusivo que você tem que instalar um driver no ring0 (praticamente um rootkit) em seu sistema, ele tem acesso irrestrito de escrita e leitura a tudo, mas ainda sim, mesmo que poucos, existem cheats privados a venda :p. Ou então a rockstar quando lançou o gtaV, consegue imaginar o quanto ela investiu em seu DRM? Então, dias após o lançamento para pc já havia sido crackeado..
Esse é um padrão que qualquer produto de execução no lado do cliente está fadado, ter seu código explorado e modificado a bel-prazer por hackers e crackers. Browsers não são uma excessão.
Então sendo impossível, nós devemos somente desistir maneglegleglegle...-sama? Não, é claro que não, segurança da informação é (em ultimo caso vai) um delicado min/max entre os custos para seu modelo de adversário, e seus própios custos. Pense para você mesmo, quanto alguem poderia gastar para scrapar seus precisos dados e ainda ter lucro? 1k? 5k ? 10k? 100k? 1kk? Contrate um profissional e projete sua segurança de acordo.

Edit1: Porque o anti-cheat do valorant roda do nivel do kernel? Porque os desenvolvedores de cheats também tem acesso ao kernel, caso o vanguard não rodasse no ring0, cheaters teriam a maior vantagem, vantagem essa é inerente a arquitetura do browser que isola a javaScript engine do espaço das aplicações com muita segurança.
Edit2. Existem crawlers "não ruins", eu btff, search engines utilizam crawlers para ranquear e indexar o seu site, pesquisar cientificas também! Que normalmente tem um throat limit pequeno, não interfere em nada e é desejado! É necessário identificar tráfego malicioso, não simplesmente bloquear todos os crawlers....

Enfim chegamos no final do meu segundo post, espero que tenha gostado.
Imagino que se alguém da segurança da informação ler esse post sua sobrancelha subirá para esse ultimo parágrafo, eu entendo que não é simplesmente esse min/max, mas acho que é uma boa aproximação.

I have kind of fallen into being a KJ/DJ. A friend of mine owns an event venue and it started out just a bunch of us singing karaoke and doing open mic nights because she had a bar in the venue. It has kind of bloomed into me doing weddings, events, being asked to do bars etc. First I will tell you what my equipment is then I have questions.
Equipment: Yamaha BT600 package with 2 Samson mics, I have a Sure 56 as well, recently I purchased a set of wireless microphones the Phenyx PTU-4000. I use a MacBook Pro and have paid for the pro lifetime version of VirtualDj. I have a Gemini ZRX-S18P 18" Powered Subwoofer (due to the size/weight I only take if I am hosting a party like a wedding etc that pays more). I have a Chauvet Gigbar2 with stand. I just ordered the ProX XF-MESA DJ table because you can hook a flatscreen to the front of it. I originally purchased a chromecast thinking I could cast the Karaoke from my computer to the the screen on front until I read on here that the audio would also be sent directly to the TV :( . I am looking to add a Denon Prime 4 later as money allows, for now I just use a numark DJ controller that I picked up on Facebook Marketplace for $50.
My questions:
1.) I do Karaoke and DJ services...what is the best way to get karaoke/DJ content legally? Should I even be concerned with this? I don't mind paying but I don't do it often enough to sink a fortune into it. I have been just using YouTube which I know is a NONO but, like I said, I just kind of fell into this and previously was only doing for me and my friends. I would like content I can use with VirtualDJ. Do you stream of download? If so is there a place where you can download almost everything at once? I have a 7TB external HD for now.

2.) Is it taboo to ask what people charge for setting up and doing a 3 hour set of KJing in a bar? I charged $200 last time but I am not sure what the going rate is.

I spend a lot of time here, and often see people suggesting UnRaid as a solution for an 'appliance OS' (An OS customised to do one major task).
Interestingly, this OS was NOT nearly as popular until LinusTechTips mentioned it, and then suddenly everyone jumped on the bandwagon without considering how incredibly different their studios use case is, to a home user.
Before I mention the storage solution; People get all worked up over the 'features' that UnRaid offers, and I admit, the interface is visually pleasing, and the pre-configuration of some of it, is genuinely a draw card.
However, ignoring storage for now, I can't think of a feature that's not replicated on other solutions. If there is something 'killer' that UnRaid can do that OpenMediaVault, TrueNAS, XigmaNAS, RockStor, ProxMox or Xpenology can't do, with a similarly pretty interface, I'm actually keen to learn about it; I do have one UnRaid box deployed, and I've not found one.
At the very least I know they all support docker and Virtual Machines, which would allow you to add whatever is missing.
Besides, the main reason you're building a home server (and talking about UnRaid) is for storage, right?
So lets dive in.
The main 'problem' with UnRaid is that it's not an Atomic COW file system.
Apart from sounding hilarious, this means you don't get 'instant backups' in the form of snapshots, and you dont get block level parity (more on this later).

In and of itself, this isn't a problem.
The problem I see, is that the company changed it's business model a few years ago, from freemium (free below 4 disks) to demo, and now people with only a small amount of disks need to purchase a licence.
Lets be clear.
I have no problem paying for software that does something a user needs.
Though, I do consider it very unwise to spend money on a solution, lacking such a core feature of practically every free competitor.
More importantly, I don't feel they make this shortcoming nearly clear enough for new players.
There are plenty of people who WILL see value from UnRaid, but for every 1 that does, I fear there are many more who aren't made aware of the glaring shortcoming.
They don't realise that If they want long term safe storage, they need to monitor their data themselves. Totally possible, but a lot of work.
Lets look into the more technical bit of this.
The primary thing to understand about UnRaid is that it protects disks, not the data on them.
The difference confuses a lot of people, so let me explain coarsely.
If a disk begins to fail it could write all sorts of junk data on its way out.
Perhaps sectors are going bad? Perhaps it gets physically bumped, or a brownout\blackout\surge occurs? Who knows. All we know (but sadly, not yet) is that areas of the disk are now garbage data.
After a week or so of this, the firmware finally trips enough of the disks SMART data to flag a failed drive. Now UnRaid notices. All throughout the week, UnRaid has been updating its 'protection' for this junk data, as it has no way to know what data is or isn't correct anymore. (and no snapshot to roll back to).
You eject this drive, and install another, and UnRaid happily rebuilds the disk, corrupted files and all.
You've lost data. (hopefully your last backup with LONGER than a week ago, or you also backed up junk data!)
Many will argue about what risks there are of a disk 'going rogue' like this though?
Quite low.
That doesn't mean the risk of loss overall isn't quite high; simply perhaps not in the way I explained above.

Those are all 'lost chunks of data' on perfectly working disks, that UnRaid simply wouldn't have known about.
I've seen as much as 8% corruption on any data archives over 20 years old; and I know a lot of folks who plan to keep their family photos for more than that.

Lets touch on 'better filesystem solutions' before we approach the elephant in the room.
There are filesystems that protect data on a block level; using the same 'magic math' that lets a RAID rebuild a disk, but on every block of data, not just the disk as a whole.
ZFS is the king. (Available on XigmaNAS, TrueNAS, OpenMediaVault, ProxMox; and any DIY Linux or BSD solution)
Originally designed for bank databases (iirc), it uses a 'double check' type approach. If a file is corrupted, and it knows how to fix it, it will send you the fixed file over the network (but just in case it's wrong, it won't fix it on disk, until you tell it thats OK). If a file is corrupted and it's not sure how to fix it (but can guess), it will send you the untouched file, and you can yay-or-nay its guess to disk later.
Trying to cover ZFS features in a short newbie friendly document is a nightmare. If you wish to learn more, ORACLE has a world of documentation; but wiki is friendlier, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZFS.
Next in line, is BTRFS. (Available on Xpenology, and RockStor, or any DIY Linux solution)
This is what Facebook uses to protect a lot of its servers from data loss.
It does basically all the same things that ZFS can do, but it can add/remove/grow/shrink/parition drives whenever you want, without data loss.
Not only that, but you can mix and match drive sizes also!
The down side?
It's quite 'tricky' to get your head around (and lacks good GUI's); but more critically, 'Raid5/6 mode' can be risky.
You can do your own research into that, but to generalise, 'Raid1 mode' is the safe mode.
Added bonus though?
It does RAID at a block level, not a disk level, so 10TB+8TB+1TB+1TB = 10TB of fully RAID1 mirrored data. And add more when you wish! Neat eh?
ReFS (Available On Windows) and APFS (Available on Apple)
If you're using an Apple or Windows Server licence, you probably don't need me to go into that (so I won't); but if you do, at least you know the name of the filesystems to look up.
People often stop and wonder if they NEED this level of protection though.
After all, so many Linux servers run good old MDADM (normal RAID), or enterprise servers use RAID cards, also utilising 'traditional' raid.
Well, the answer is no. With a giant 'IF'.
IF you perform nightly backups, with weekly rotation, and monthly/yearly archives like a business does? And more importantly validate them; No problem! If you find corrupted data, you'll restore from one of several backups.
The reason it is an issue, is that most people do not checksum their own data at time of creation. Do not backup often enough, and do not verify the backups, even if they make them.
They should. But if you've worked this industry long enough; they simply don't.
This is where I find UnRaid a little objectionable, as many users aren't aware of the extra work required, if they store anything, long term, other than replacable data.
BitRot is real.
Now to approach the elephant;
I don't think it's the 'apps' side of things.
If it is the apps for your use case, you can still run UnRaid in a Virtual Machine to have full access to all of them!
No, I think it's UnRaids ability to 'mix and match' disks.
This is where users often get drawn in, unaware of the above 'gotcha' for their data safety.
What if you have 10 old/cheap/mixed drives, you want to use together for a storage pool?
One where each disk is free to be removed and still act independantly if required?
Well, there in lies SnapRAID. (Availble as a plugin on OpenMediaVault) However, is so simple to setup, even if you were forced to use the config file, I'd happily suggest this app as a 'babys first config file' stepping stone for the nervous :)

It shares those 'flexible' features in common with UnRaid, is INCREDIBLY easy to setup, DOES protect the files\data at a block level, not just the disks, and is free!
So, whats the catch?
It's sort of in the name, it's a snapshot RAID system; it only updates its protection on a schedule.
At first, having 'new data' not protected for an hour sounded like a deal breaker...
Spending some time pondering this, I realised that if the data wasn't going to be valuable enough to checksum by using a COW filesystem like ZFS, then it's probably unimportant enough to wait an hour (this is configurable), until the next snapshot.
In addition, if the data WAS critical, it's much more realistic to train a user to 'keep another copy until tomorrow', than to have them monitor the files health over time on a less resilient filesystem.
You REALLY want UnRaid though?
Thats fine! I'm not the boss of you, this is about awareness not about criticism.
Is it for the apps? As above, you could use almost any other system, lets say, ProxMox, and keep your data as a ZFS array, and run UnRaid in a virtual machine. Bam, safe, and feature rich.
Is it for the drive mixing? OK, just be aware of the work needed if you do keep valuable data, that's all! At least format your individual disks to BTRFS. While single BTRFS disks have none of the auto-heal features, at least it can alert you to corruption, so you can dig a replacement out of your backups.
I won't deny there have been quite a few users here whos use case DOES fit UnRaid PERFECTLY.
Also, there has been talk in the UnRaid forums among devs about Implimenting ZFS or SnapRaid 'soon'; though, do keep in mind, this has been a 'soon' thing before, and the original dev used to be quite vocal about bitrot supposedly 'not existing'.

Or perhaps their own hashing algorythm (like snapraid using spookyhash, but real time?) but with zero bias, it's simply not included yet.
So who is the perfect candidate?

• People who are PURELY using it to store replacable media; where a re-download is an inconvenience, not a loss. For these, the 'one click apps' and pretty interface might out-value their data.
  
• People who's uptime is more critical than data integrity, as it DOES protect the array. I've deployed UnRaid as a server in a remote community before; and the ability to 'swap a disk' with literally zero knowledge for the client, was invaluable... Red LED? New disk. Done.
  
• People who are working with resilient data, like raw audio and video. You can corrupt a LOT of uncompressed media before its obvious to a human (and this is why LTT liked it)
  
• People who keep proper backups. If your morning alarm is your tape drive spinning up to do the daily verify? You're probably fine (and why are you reading this? lol)
  

Now, as a bonus;
If this rambling has all come a bit late to the party, and you're already invested in UnRaid, but you'd like to store some irreplacable files safely; there are several solutions.
None as easy, as the RAR file container.
Not only does RAR checksum the data it compresses, but RAR has a fairly unique feature called a Recovery Record.
This will make an archive larger by whatever percentage you specify, and allow that much data to become corrupt, and still be repaired. https://www.win-rar.com/recovery-record.html (this is not limited to WinRAR, it's just the easiest link).
I hope that'll clear up a few things for new players who are looking to get into home data storage.
Please don't think I'm 'hating on UnRaid', it has it's place, and it's a very well refined piece of software, the things it DOES do, it does VERY WELL.
It just seems time and time again, people are using it, to access a single feature that's very well advertised, without being aware of the conflicting missing feature, I'd argue is more valuable, but as always, YMMV.

Starting last night after restarting my pc (I hadnt given it a break in a while so it was more of a healthy reset than anything else) my oculus app has been completely nonfunctional. It was working completely fine before restarting my pc. The problem I am having is that when I plug in my headset and load up the app, the headset is unresponsive, returns an orange light and when I cover the prox sensor in the visor, the eyes will not turn on. I have tested with another headset to confirm my hardware is working fine, and I have fully reinstalled the Oculus app. At this point I have no idea what is wrong other than the potential of something fishy being done by oculus as it is the day or two before the facebook account change. If anyone has had this problem before or has some tips then please help! I have also only run the auto scan for my drivers to be updated as I have no idea what to do when it tells me to look through my files.

Falcon Heavy STP-2 Launch Campaign Thread

Space Test Program 2 is an experimental rideshare managed by the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center, launching from LC-39A at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Most of the spacecraft will be delivered into low Earth orbit (LEO) in two deployment sequences, separated by a second stage burn. These LEO payloads include the six COSMIC-2 microsatellites, a partnership between NOAA, NASA, and Taiwan's NSPO; the Planetary Society's crowdfunded LightSail-B experiment, and other 16 smallsats and cubesats.
The third and final deployment will be the Air Force Research Lab's DSX spacecraft, which will be delivered to a medium Earth orbit (MEO). This mission will reuse the side cores from Arabsat 6A, which will return to LZ-1 and LZ-2. Meanwhile, the new-build center core will land on the droneship Of Course I Still Love You 1233 km offshore from the launch site, making this the farthest-downrange and most difficult landing of a Falcon booster to date.
This is SpaceX's eighth mission of 2019, the second flight of Falcon Heavy of the year and the third Falcon Heavy launch overall. It will use a new center core and the two side boosters flown on the previous Arabsat-6A flight. If the launch succeeds, it will also be the third of the three flights necessary to certify Falcon Heavy for carrying valuable US Air Force payloads.

Mission FAQ

Where can I watch this launch?

Check out the Watching a Launch page on this sub's FAQ, which gives a detailed breakdown of every viewing site as well as a lot of other information, and Ben Cooper's authoritative page on launch viewing.
In summary, Playalinda Beach will be closed at that hour, while the KSC Saturn V Center (if tickets are offered) will get you as close as possible to the launch itself, if you're into that. Max Brewer and other Titusville locations will get you a little better view of launch than other free/ low--cost spots, though much further than the Saturn V Center. However, if you want the best experience watching the twin core landing, these (and anything at KSC/Titusville) are not great choices as they are far from the landing pads and have an obstructed view. Jetty Park in Port Canaveral (and the USAF viewing stands at the end of Rt. 401, if offered) will get you much closer and with somewhat better visibility.
For an optimal view of the two landings and an unobstructed view of the launch, arguably the best spot is going out on a boat offshore of the Cape, giving you a completely unobstructed view to all three events and getting you closer than any other publicly-accessible location to the spectacular twin-core landing. A group of SpaceX members (including myself, u/CAM-Gerlach , in the interests of full disclosure), have stepped up and will be hosting these, as well as pre-launch tours of the rocket on the pad and historic KSC sites led by notable community members.

Why is such a light payload launching on a Falcon Heavy?

While the payload mass is relatively light, the performance requirements are due to the number, energy and complexity of different orbits it needed to achieve in one mission (particularly plane changes, which are very expensive), as well as the coast time between burns resulting in boiloff and extra mass for the extended mission kit, and the need for additional margins to assure mission success. Despite the light payload, there is a considerable loss simply propelling the relatively high dry mass of the F9 S2 plus extended coast kit with a comparatively inefficient engine and propellant. All together, this is the most challenging mission SpaceX has ever flown, and will require the highest performance yet out of the Falcon Heavy.
Furthermore, the main goal of this mission, rather than launching specific satellites, is to validate the Falcon Heavy and a wide variety of its capabilities. These include long coast, multiple engine restarts, direct MEO insertion and stage passivization, in order to certify it to fly operational US Air Force payloads to varied orbits. Therefore, the number and mass of payloads are effectively a "rideshare" with this primary mission, and of lesser importance.

Why did the center core droneship position for the landing get apparently moved from a location just offshore to the furthest landing ever attempted?

TL;DR: The position in the initial FCC request was erroneous, and the FH center core as always going to, at most, land far downrange due to the extremely challenging orbit requirements of the mission.
STP-2 was originally planned as a center core expendable, side boosters reusable flight, due to the number and complexity of second stage burns (originally five, then reduced to four due to lack of available performance margin) planned for the mission. In fact, before block 5, the nominal plan was to land the side boosters on ASDSes in order to make recovery possible (as building an extra barge was actually cheaper than expending a core), but the performance upgrades allowed them to RTLS.
Following the successful triple landing on the Arabsat mission, and the FH Block 5's additional demonstrated performance margin, SpaceX then requested that they be able to land the center core. The USAF assented, as while this did reduce performance margins, they were still within acceptable limits. This mission is going to be extremely difficult, as it will require even more performance from the side boosters than typical, and will be an extremely difficult recovery for the center booster, much more so than Arabsat which SpaceX expected a quite high chance of failing to land the core stage.
The initial FCC request was in error on the position, likely due to either a mistake on the part of the requestor, or the precise landing position not being known at that time. FCC requests often do contain significant errors, and all of this information aside from that fits with what we've been told about this launch, in terms of it being the most challenging mission SpaceX has ever attempted. It will truly be a trial by fire for the Falcon Heavy (quite literally so for the center core), as was its purpose to begin with.
