2024.05.17 13:08 onebowlofporridge Am i an INTJ or INTP?

I’ve been an INTJ for a couple years now. However, I feel like my way of thinking and operating have changed since then. Before, i could identify and rate my function preference with 90% certainty (indicating that i was in fact an INTJ. Now, as im getting back into the realm of mbti, I find myself 50/50 between most of the cognitive functions (perhaps due to the new me and the old me intermixing). I’ve found that i identify with a lot of the INTP functions, but somehow still identity with the INTJ functions (which i know are opposites of each other, hence my dilemma). What are some differences between INTJ and INTP to help me really identify which one i resonate with most? I know I should compare the dominant and auxiliary functions of both to see which one i identify with more, but thats also a struggle. Could you guys give examples and/or deeper explanations of these INTP and INTJ functions to make it easier?

2024.05.17 13:08 digital_wiz How We Scaled a Hair Extension Brand using Facebook Ads and SEO to give $80,000 ROI in 6 Months (Detailed Breakdown)

Hello Redditors,
This is an incredible success story of how we helped a client achieve incredible results in just four months, generating an $80,000 return on investment (ROI) with a combination of SEO and Facebook Ads. We have completed many successful projects and there's a certain satisfaction in seeing our strategies translate to such tangible growth. I have tried to keep this post extremely detailed so that it can be beneficial for experienced marketers and newcomers alike.
The Client: Hair Extension E-commerce Brand
Revenue Split Between SEO and Fb ads: 3:2
Average Order Value: $350
Total Revenue(6 months): $140,000
Expenses(6 months): Product Cost + Delivery cost + Team + Agency Fees + Ads Cost+ Website Optimization + Packaging: $60000
Basic Company Background:
The brand was being run by a Mother-Daughter duo for the past 3 months. They had a shopify website with average structure and were struggling with facebook ads themselves. Although they made few physical sales due to friends and relatives but were unable to utilize the digital potential of their business as such. After trying facebook ads for some time they wanted a reliable digital marketing team to work with and they were recommended to us by one of our other customers who has a service based business. Initially we connected majorly for facebook ads but after the initial discussion when were doing research from our side, we found that there is huge potential in SEO for this niche so we suggested that we should prepare a proper website on wordpress and focus on both SEO and Ads parallelly as, although Ads will give an initial boost to the business but SEO will bring some stability and help in building a sustainable business.
Facebook Ads Campaign Structure:
Ads Creatives and Brand Positioning:
It's important to note that after deep research we could find that a major share our hair extensions customers are females aged between 21-45 so we did not actively position our brand as solving problems of low hair volume, but instead we focused on how the products ads style, gives a much better look and you can try new hairstyles and hair colors daily. Also since almost all the demographics in this age group are working, we tested a professional look angle as well which gave us decent results. In ad creatives as well as on the website we made the daughter as the face of the product as we want to slowly grow her instagram as well which can add another organic and sustainable stream of revenue. She shoots before and after transition videos, general product application videos and other videos for ads according to the target audience and brand positioning strategy we discussed earlier. Instead of making long videos focused on product details a lot, we made short but captivating videos which can appeal to the young audience’s fashion sense.
Key Takeaways from FB Ads:
Mostly Meta Ads or Any other marketing tactic is just a traffic source but conversion will basically happen by how well you are able to communicate your product to the audience through your website. Its is necessary to have a smooth user journey, attractive offers, crisp information and right brand positioning on the website.
It is extremely important to make data driven decisions and track customer journeys meticulously. Always rely on your own tracking or google analytics to avoid the potential unreliability of Facebook Ads Manager.
Seo Strategy
If you don’t already know this, SEO is all about how effectively you can strategize your content and technical efforts keeping a bigger picture in mind. After our initial keyword research we could find that the average Kd of the important keywords was low when it comes to commercial keywords which were directly related to the business.
It's important to note that since the website was being built after our onboarding only so it was easy for us to structure the website according to the SEO strategy that we prepared.
At every stage we had meetings with the developer to ensure that there are no technical issues that will hinder the SEO growth and future and also we structured the website to be SEO friendly. We built separate pages for all the product categories and after through keyword research we added content to those pages so that the pages itself can rank for commercial keywords.
After the website was ready we audited it for technical issues(Like mobile friendliness, H1 tags, canonical tags, etc) we started focusing on the content. We wanted to establish our website as a trusted authority in the hair extensions and hair care industry in general.
Since the website was completely new, initially we created blogs(2-3 times per week) around informational keywords with low KD purely for increasing our website authority and bringing the initial traffic on the website. We have seen that usually people start stressing about approaching big websites for guest postings since the first day itself but if your keyword research and content is solid, that is not required in the beginning. Initially we focused on profile creations, image submissions, pdf submissions, internal linking in the content, web 2.0 backlinks etc and this was more than enough for us to rank for low difficulty keywords and increase our DA to a decent level so that our category pages can rank for low difficulty keywords.
Here I would like to include a tip, many times people are worried that what if the backlink that they have created doesn't get indexed. In the initial phase we work really hard when it comes to what we call as maturing our backlinks as this is the major factor for ranking on low difficulty keywords. So basically what we do is, we make backlinks of our web 2.0 backlinks itself which helps the primary backlink in getting indexed which ultimately helps with our website DA.
Also many people have been asking us in our previous posts how we structure our blog since I talk a lot about content quality, see it's not as hard and it doesn't involve a lot of research at least in the initial phase when you just have to rank on low difficulty keywords. In this phase usually what we do is study the top 5 ranking blogs on the particular keyword and make sure that we include more content and more subheadings then them. Also we try to find opportunities to include tables or charts wherever possible, we include good quality images(original if possible) and at this stage internal linking is very very important so we focus on that as well. In later stages although the basic strategy for framing the blogs remains same, overall content strategy varies a lot from business to business and requires a lot of strategizing depending on the brand positioning goals.
So after we were able to rank for low difficulty informational keywords and our Website DA reached a decent level due to our backlinking efforts, we started writing content around the fashion advice and common problems which people face related to hair in general. But as discussed earlier, we wanted to keep our brand positioning fashion centric, so even while writing about common problems we applied a positive and solution centric approach. We strategically placed internal links to our product pages in the content and tested popups with offers as well. Apart from this, we started guest posting as well at this stage. For finding websites for guest posting we used SEMrush’s backlink gap analysis tool and created a segregated list of blogs that we can reach out to based on their content quality and DA. By this time the store started generating decent revenue from ads and SEO so the client was completely onboard with reaching out to blogs for guest posting. Guest posting and overall strategic SEO application started generating a good amount of traffic for us and in 3-4 months the revenue generated due to SEO surpassed our Ads revenue as well.
Advantages of Combining SEO and Paid Ads
While Facebook Ads played a crucial role in launching the brand and driving initial traffic, SEO has emerged as the primary driver of sustainable growth. This approach allowed us to:
SEO efforts are always ongoing but we are really satisfied with the base that we have built and we are really looking forward to working with keywords with higher KD and generating more revenue with SEO In the upcoming months. Although we will keep running ads in future as well mostly for awareness purposes but the major revenue will be generated from our SEO efforts. Apart from this, as we mentioned earlier, we are looking to actively start the Social Media efforts as well from the next month itself. We will be looking to target Instagram and Tiktok in the initial phase and we believe in 2-3 months social media will contribute towards 25% of our revenue which will grow rapidly.
Thankyou For Reading!

2024.05.17 13:05 Comprehensive-Emu398 Regarding centralization of mining power in mining pools

Hello,
Just recently got into BTC. I read The Bitcoin Standard, and I agree with most of the picture and the downgrade of society, higher time preference, etc. And recently I read Mastering the Bitcoin Blockchain by Andreas Antonopoulos.
At one point, specifically page 288 in the "Hashrate Attacks" subsection, he mentions the very plausible vulnerability of mining pool operators being open to double spend coins. Generally whenever a vulnerability is pointed out it would come accompanied by the specific BIP# that led to the fix or patch of the problem, but in this scenario it doesn't happen. The vulnerability is simply pointed out. Essentially saying that it is possible for the operators of mining pools to double spend coins as long as they do it at a reasonably low volume to not draw much attention... being that the transactions on a block are hashed on the aggregate (merkle root) it would be oddly difficult to find, right? Or am I missing something...

2024.05.17 13:04 ThrowRA_Antique6628 How do you know when it’s time to get a job for many years vs small short jobs for experience? US

Hi there, I’m a recent grad and am now an archaeologist. My job is awesome, and despite what many people think there’s opportunities flooding the world with my work. In my field, it’s easy to find a job where you can stay in one place forever or many jobs all over the world that last for various amounts of time. This was a major detail I considered when picking my career path, because I don’t think I can see myself with a typical 9-5 in an office. However, I can see myself with a stable house and my partner. It seems like i have to decide between the two, and I was curious if there’s people with similar experiences where they have to decide to take the route of exciting opportunities or exciting stability? How do you know when it’s time to settle down and find a stable job? Does it just hit you one day? Or do you take the stable job first and then do the fun ones in between when they come? Sorry if this doesn’t seem like a legit question for this page!

2024.05.17 13:04 HollyPaints Why are savants hated so much?

I’m diagnosed with level 2 autism and have savant syndrome. The things I’m good at are art and music. I’m tired of people misunderstanding me and accusing me of “bragging” or “showing off” when I explain to people who ask questions and I explain maybe those people are gifted and share my personal experience. It’s almost as if they completely ignore the autism side that I struggle with on a daily basis and only see the perks or want to approach it as if autistic savants don’t exist or that when we do, we aren’t allowed to share our experiences or else we are just bragging or showing off when we are genuinely trying to explain something.
For example someone in the artist lounge subreddit asked why some young kids on social media are so good at art. I told them perhaps some may be gifted children like I was, and also explained others might just have a passion for art and practice a lot more, and in general that kids can learn things easier when picked up at a young age… be it language, art or musical instrument learning. It just comes across super jealous, bitter and insecure when people can’t accept that savants exist and that we have a life story or anecdote to share too. Someone accused me of bragging to which I replied it seems toxic to interpret it that way, and that it’s unfair to pretend savants don’t exist. I’ve seen people on that subreddit before try to claim talent doesn’t exist, and that art is solely a learned skill, which isn’t true but I don’t waste my time arguing about that. It’s been scientifically proven that the left temporal lobe is related to savant abilities and that art is one of the areas that savants are gifted or can excel in.
I feel like for those of us on the autism spectrum who also have savant syndrome, we are seen as being “better than” other people or false accused of being so, or bragging, or arrogant, when we just are trying to explain or answer people’s questions the best we can with our personal experiences. Are we now excluded from that or else we are braggers? That’s not fair…

2024.05.17 13:03 Siggi_Trust MMX6 has grown on me after mastering it

Hi.
So I have been playing the hell out of MMX6 after buying the Legacy Collection and I just played all the other ones (except MMX7 and 8).
X6 has had some hate, including from myself. For me, I think I just played it at the end of an era, when I wanted another MMX1-3 or X4 or I just had enough of Megaman in general. The game also proved to be hard and after MMX5 I wasn't in the mood to get into it even if I did complete it at some point. It just never felt like any enjoyment at the time.
Later, when I played it again I started to really try to understand it. Some systems just confused me, like the nightmare system when I didn't know how to manipulate it and it always felt unfair and random. I never understood that the red stages on the screen were stages CHANGED, not stages I should avoid or something, because I was basing it off experience from things like MMX2, where I avoided stages where there were X Hunters for some time or something.
Now after understanding both the Parts system better and the nightmare system, the game just becomes, in fact, super easy.
The teleporters to the alternate routes were of course confusing at first also but in no way a system deserving of much criticism. MMX6 actually feels like a game that rewards you and is satisfying to get through, more so than any other MM game I've played. Seriously, the only game that made me feel like that is probably the fan made Megaman Unlimited.
The ranking system is actually better implemented than it was in MMX5. Now that was horrible. You are rewarded with more equipable parts for raising your ranks, yet the game never requires you to grind specifically. I got both X and Zero on separate playthroughs to 9999 souls for Rank UH and the only grinding I did was about three Dynamo fights or so.
The bosses are all quite easy. I remember struggling with High Max at first, but when you know how to damage him, you can realize that all his attacks are super easy to avoid.
Another thing that I underestimated was Limited Parts, usable once a life. When you find the Full Recover part that essentially works like a free sub tank you don't even need to refill just trivializes the whole game and now I've even found a way to unlock that part early on since stage 2. On my latest playthroughs, I've never had to even use it or a sub tank once in a single battle not even on Sigma.
The only thing I do hate when I think about first playthroughs, is all those extra lives. Like when you enter a portal and you can't backtrack to the normal stage if you find out Zero or High Max is too much for you or something. Also, one thing I think they messed up was Metal Shark's stage, they put the normal way through a teleporter, messing with your mind making you think you are going the alternate way, then you end up on the path where the actual alternate route is only to discover a dead end with a pit you can't cross, forcing you to die like....9 times to restart the entire slow grinding stage. There was no point whatsoever putting a teleporter there. Why not just make a regular path or a door or something......
My final playthrough, I decided to do it without rescuing Zero. Now I didn't realize that you can miss Zero by collecting 3000 souls, so I did it legit. I never entered an alternate route, not even to collect stuff and then kill myself to exit. Which means, I didn't even get either armor. So I finished the final stages only with Falcon armor. The only thing I did do was to get the awesome Jumper part from the alternate route in Blizzard Wolfgang's stage to make the first final level easy.
So my way through the game is as follows:
Take Ground Scaravich first and beat him. Reenter his stage a couple of times until you have the Heart, most likely the armor also, but most importantly, the Quick Charge part (if you are playing as X) and the Speedster part. I mostly keep those parts equipped the entire game. You enter Yammark's stage next and with Speedster, you can pick up both a sub tank and the Full Recover part.
From that point, the game is just fairly easy overall.
Due to having Ground Scaravich defeated, one might decide to go to Blaze Heatnix. But if you are suffering from the Nightmare Snakes, this is not necessary. You can easily beat Rainy Turtloid and from there (or before) take Metal Shark Player who for example gives you an insane weapon against the Nightmare Snakes. Also, don't forget your Giga Attack like I tend to do. It's there for a reason. That works for instance on Nightmare Snake, like the one in the vertical shaft.
As you gain more ranks and parts, as well as new weapons, there is no Megaman game that feels as rewarding to play. Your characters actually feel like they get stronger.
Now some people have said playing as Zero is hard.....but seriously, he is overpowered if anything. Did you see the difference fighting the Nightmare Snakes early as X and fighting them as Zero.
Nevermind when Zero gets the weapon from Rainy Turtloid, he decimates EVERYTHING. You're just on the ground crouching and pressing down+SM button and you're like hell.
And here's an unpopular opinion.......I think MMX5 is worse than MMX6. MMX5 is the game that feels rushed for me and it feels unfair and badly made. I have also just played 5 and did it getting all parts and all, with both X and Zero. The terrible boss fights like Shadow Devil, the terrible random spikes coming from the walls of Rangda Bangda (and I know, Gaea Armor, which I did). All of this feels more unfair and ridiculous, not like MMX6 which feels rewarding and fair. There can be a challenge but it's fair challenge. The instant death lasers in MMX5 which is pure and simply the WORST trial and error nonsense I've ever seen in any game.....Quick Man from MM2 is one thing, but that's only like 5 screens you can master in a few tries, but falling down that long shaft in MMX5, with platforms EVERYWHERE and impossible to so much as touch one without dying, could just as well litter them all in spikes.
Sigma in MMX6, like all Sigmas, used to give me trouble at first. But geez, the first form is easy as hell, every attack is easy to dodge. When I started using the Magma Blade on the second form instead of insisting to use the horrible horrible Ground Dash because I imprinted in myself that it's his weakness, everything changed. Last playthrough, I literally stood there and just attacked, taking all his attacks in my face and I still beat him. With Zero, that is just a joke. He OBLITARATES him with regular attacks.
I am seriously contemplating playing one more time, either using both characters and getting 8 heart tanks with each, so making it a more balanced play. Or collecting 3000 souls and seeing the cutscene and look at what happens.
OR......I should probably look at Hard mode I guess.....

2024.05.17 13:03 Kalesche How to Balance Player Curiosity with LARP Setting Details

Why is the player expectation that they need to know absolutely everything about a new setting?
When developing a LARP setting, I often get the feedback of: "This setting is too detailed, I don't want to read all this".
This is even after providing a shorter setting summary page to onboard new players on broad strokes of what people might know. I have even shopped the unfinished game wiki around, and gotten some worried comments from players that there's simply too much.
Has anybody else faced this problem, and how did they overcome it?
My Situation
I'm developing a political LARP, where details about the various cultures and locations in the setting are important to provide context and allow people to make more informed decisions. They then won't be surprised when something happens in a region due to their actions.
But when I offer people the wiki to look over, they say that there is just too much detail about the setting, the magic, the religions, the history, etc.
My expectation
I don't EXPECT people to read it all. I expect them to explore down that proverbial iceberg only where they find interest.
For example:
You want to be from the city-state of X, look up what's in there for your background!
There's a strange beast coming out of the Y Forests? Maybe check what you might be able to find out about it.
More Silverite coming out of Z country these days? Take a look at why that might be and how you can leverage that.
Possible solutions
Do I need to explicitly make a comparison with not needing to have read the 37k-page MCU Wiki to play a Marvel RPG? Or the 190k-page Wookieepedia to enjoy a Star Wars RPG? Or the 6k-page Lord of the Rings wiki to enjoy a LotR RPG?
Should I make an active effort to separate out the "Summary", "Rules" and "Setting" on the wiki where possible to avoid scaring people away?
Is there anything else I can do?
Any advice from veterans?

2024.05.17 13:02 Dungeon-Doomhand How do you make sure each player feels important in the story?

Here is a suggestion:
I like to have detailed backstories for each of the characters. Then I take a detail and add it into the story. Usually it’s an object from the story they find somewhere like on person they defeated or in a dungeon etc.
This is useful. What do you do to make players feel important? There are many different ways this one is just an example.

2024.05.17 13:00 ildflu Quit my unpaid SMM job. Where to go now?

Back in April, I was onboarded for an unpaid SMM job. I'm a newbie and had no experience working for clients yet, and so I accepted the offer of working unpaid at first then eventually to work with pay. There was no contract.
Honestly, I learned quite a lot from the experience so I'm not THAT mad at it. I also learned na I really like this niche so I really want to seriously pursue it! However, just about two weeks before my supposed unpaid month passed, I quit because the tasks were becoming unreasonable for me. I'm a college student so I operate on a strict schedule to properly manage my academics and extracurriculars. Meaning I only set particular hours in a day for the job (sa gabi, para US time and I can communicate with them pag kailangan) since they said it was flexible, but the client for this business and his assistant, while nice people, are bad at scheduling meetings and assigning tasks.
I was "hired" under the pretense of it having a flexible schedule, but the client or her assistant would sometimes randomly pop up in our group chat and send a meeting link because we need to have a meeting. It really didn't work for me 😭 Because sometimes the meetings would go for two hours, tapos magsisimula siya around the end of my supposed work hours.
But that's not even the worst part! The client would just add more tasks! As an SMM, sobrang thankful ako for scheduling apps and I rely on them to lighten my workload. Tapos after a week or so, I look at insights to edit stuff here and there. Honestly I'm not the best at reading insights yet, but I'm really trying my very best to learn. When I was onboarded, I was only given a week to work on the calendar tapos pubs. Then I pitched it agad sa kanila tapos start na agad ng posting 😬 Akala ko normal lang na ganon as a newbie, pero after reading sa SMM communities here and on Facebook, hindi naman pala ako incompetent for thinking na I needed more time to formulate a proper strategy 😭
When I was hired, I was told na Facebook lang ang hahawakan ko that's why pumayag din ako na unpaid because I thought, it's just one page right? Kaya naman 'yun ng isang buwan. Tapos pagdating ng pitch namin, I was told to handle IG na rin. I said sure, because I figured it wouldn't hurt since connected naman 'yung FB at IG and I can reuse some materials na lang. Mas may added work but I charged it up to experience because I was gaining some practical knowledge from it naman.
Tapos! After a week and a half, nadagdagan ng isa pang page 'yung hahawakan ko along with the other SMM that was hired with me. That's when it all started to fall apart because wala talaga 'yun sa usapan. Bukod pa diyan, may "ad hoc tasks" pa wherein pinapagawa kami ng somewhat-related task sa pages na handle namin pero hindi napag-usapan during the pitching of the content calendar. So I have to move things around and edit and shit like that. Sobrang na-gfrustrate ako and decided to quit 😕
Iniisip ko nga if incompetent lang ba ako at di kayang mag-survive sa industry na 'to. Or bad luck lang ba? Where do I go from here? I'm lost kasi parang ang hirap maghanap ng opportunities as a newbie kahit may lil portfolio naman ako.
