I am a bit nervous but i readed all about it and i know it is safe (also i have checked the plane everyday and It depart and land safely every time). To preface this, we did start off casual. We both were drunk at a party, hooked up, and decided to keep it that way until, eventually, one of us caught feelings and the other followed suit. However, he was graduating college and I was only a sophomore, so the idea of this actually working was absurd. But as one thing led to another, we both realized we wanted to make this work, so we gave LDR a shot.
The long distance itself wasn't too bad (initially, at least). We didn't text all the time; in fact, there were days where barely anything was said, but neither of us minded as we understood we have busy schedules. Problems, however, began when my trust was somewhat breached, and I just couldn't deal with things anymore.
So, my boyfriend is a sweet guy, kinda shy and non-confrontational. He has a girl best friend who is a total bitch and has been weird with me time and time again. The first time I met her, my boyfriend and I were only hooking up. It was for breakfast after a night of drinking. We were being a bit affectionate, and she, out of nowhere, exclaimed, "BF name, please behave, stop embarrassing yourself in public." Strange, but I paid it no mind. Of course, that wasn't enough. We were all just sitting, eating, not saying much because she just radiated malice. I didn't want to engage because I would snap and I wanted to leave a good impression. But she continued to pose hypothetical scenarios to my boyfriend about what his ex would think about him being in this situation, overall giving weird vibes. At the time, my hookup (boyfriend) didn't say anything, and I didn't want to assert myself in the situation, so I stayed silent.
Fast forward a few months later, we are at an event in the car. We are all tripping on ecstasy except for his beloved girl best friend, who the whole time is sitting in the back making snide comments about me to her friend, "oh, she's crazy," blah blah. STILL, my boyfriend claims to have not heard and said nothing. STILL, I ignore that.
Fine? Now, this is almost 6 months later. My boyfriend and I are at a party when a girl who was very overtly interested in my boyfriend comes up to him, and they start talking. (The first time meeting post-grad, they both are drunk, so I let it go.) They are sitting on the side. She is holding his hand, and I'm just observing from afar because I don't want to put myself in that situation when my boyfriend calls me (he claims it was to include me). This girl says, "OMG, you're lucky I backed off; you can have him, he's all yours," to which my boyfriend, sitting right there, says nothing (claimed he didn't hear). I avert the topic, ask her about work, etc., but the whole time I am fuming. I bring it up to my boyfriend, and his same response: "I never heard. I love you. Can you stop being dramatic?"
Now I'm a bit suspicious of him. Anyway, it's summer break. I am on vacation, and he's back home. At 4 am, he texts me, saying, "Hey babe, I want to meet a friend of mine. We dated back in school. It was a kiddy relationship. Can I meet her? If it's okay with you, we will just smoke a joint or whatever." I didn't want to be controlling, and if they dated in school, who was I to stop him? So I was like, sure. Months later, I find out it's the first girl he had sex with. Are you seeing a pattern?
In isolation, these micro-breaches could just be looked over, but the build-up is just not giving. Anyways, fast forward some more months. My friend shows me a close friend's post of this girl my boyfriend follows where she's practically naked, and he's liked it. Keep in mind, this is months into our relationship. I screenshot it and bring it up to him. It's the same: "I didn't know, I just like everything on my feed. It's before we had such convos about boundaries." (I have always expressed how icky and embarrassing it is to see your man under some hoe's post.)
So obviously, with all these little instances, I get angrier and angrier. I trust him less, I ask more, and I get angry real quick. Now our relationship has reached the point where we can't go without fighting for more than 2 days (if I'm being generous). I second-guess his every move, I am perpetually suspicious, and I kind of resent him. When we are together, it’s great; there aren't any major problems per se, but in LDR, I just can't. Not only is he an awful texter, but he also makes so many promises that he can't fulfill. An example: he said he’d post our pics. It's been months now, and he hasn't, but if it was some concert of his or a friend's, that post is up and running ASAP.
All his friends are also so man-coded; they act like boys. His own best friend has a shit relationship, but my boyfriend looks at his relationship as the pinnacle because apparently they live together and that's so perfect. He wants to get married and have me uproot my whole life to accommodate his plans because apparently we have to go for masters together, but that can only be when it works for him (so I can't go post-grad as planned). I am also expected to get married as soon as I graduate and move to a super conservative country because his job pays so well, and I "should find work there."
Keep in mind while we do LDR, he barely texts when he is out. I go out; I take out time regardless, and I understand people are different, but his communication is so shit. I understand quality over quantity, and I am okay with that, but the quality of our conversation is also so deplorable. Most times, if I talk to him on the phone for too long, something will make me angry, and things blow up into an argument.
I want to be with him, but I don't know how to fix these problems or if they are even worth fixing. We also talk about breaking up every week, and there are days I literally want to punch a wall.

I stopped talking to a guy a few months ago I was ‘taking things slow’ with. When I met him he told me he wanted a relationship in the short future and I believed him and agreed on working towards things slowly. He asked me to travel across the country to go see him so I did, not for him but because I genuinely wanted to go and the area seemed interesting, I still don’t regret going. The entire time he called me beautiful and pet names like ‘baby’ etc.
When I came home I told him I missed him and he THEN told me that I was moving too fast for him and he doesn’t want to hurt my feelings because he isn’t ready for relationship and that he actually just wants to be friends. I was a bit surprised and confused but I agreed to be friends but on the terms that we DON’T have sexual relations. When I said this he went absolutely nuts on me and stopped talking to me shortly after.
I moved on and not too long back he began stalking my social media by liking all my selfies and watching my stories after 2 months of silence.
Now I’m on the other side I’ve realised this guy basically lied to me to get what he wanted from me and go. I don’t feel used but I’m quite shocked how people can feel little shame or remorse for lying and gaslighting others. DIY here, resigning my plumbing duties. At 73 I love a good challenge (have built a house, additions, furniture, and done plumbing and electrical on all). As I had done about 16 years ago, I decided to replace water heater (40 gal gas) in attic, up those 20" wide cheesy steps. This replacement was preventative since didn't want to risk a failure at that age of unit. It took my son, a strong helper, and me to get them moved down and new back up and I'm stunned that 16 years ago I did it with one helper. No more of that.
Question is about flex connectors. I've read where some of you pros diss the braided as they are rubber lined and subject to deterioration. I have them on washer and fridge ice maker, always assumed they were a step up from kink prone copper for ice maker or just blow out on rubber washer. I realized the water heater is subject to constant heat, is that considered to be the vulnerability? I used the braided on my instal (and am a little concerned, I had to torque them down well more than the hand plus quarter turn to stop leak) and now am wondering about the braided vs what I'd call the accordion type. The price of switching is minor compared to a failure (attic above 2nd floor) so if strong feeling I'd do.
Yeah, I'd move it all down to garage except space is a premium there for shop tools and I'd probably have to go electric or have a stack right on front of roof. Plus access to connect is all in about a 20" crawl space. Panel is also already full from addition.
Anyway, appreciate any recommendations. And I'll never complain about what you guys would charge for an attic replacement!

She complained, insulted me, picked multiple fights, tried to use my credit card without asking, lied about it, then tried to manipulate me into feeling bad about the lie she just told to my face. When I called her out on the lie, she tried to DARVO and when that didn't work she threatened to leave me. I let her go.
After 8 months on and off together, that was the moment I finally realized that it was never about me or what I do—this is just who she is. Despite the recent inpatient stint at the mental health clinic, she's not actually getting better. The relationship will never be healthy or peaceful. I'll never be able to keep her happy. She's just a miserable person and when her emotions go haywire she seems determined to make me miserable too. That was when I decided to look further into BPD and found this subreddit, which made everything clear.
I showed no interest in reconciling for a week and finally blocked her number after her ~6th attempt manipulate me. After two days of being blocked she finally swallowed her pride and asked to come back. She's in my bed sleeping while I write this from another room.
I've lost all desire for a serious relationship with this woman but I want to keep having sex with her, so my plan is to just stop caring.
I'm not going to sacrifice my time, energy, and money trying to make her happy because she won't appreciate it anyway. I'm not going to walk on eggshells around her because she'll find a reason to lose her temper anyway. I'm never going to trust her to be honest or faithful. I’m diagnosed with level 2 autism and have savant syndrome. The things I’m good at are art and music. I’m tired of people misunderstanding me and accusing me of “bragging” or “showing off” when I explain to people who ask questions and I explain maybe those people are gifted and share my personal experience. It’s almost as if they completely ignore the autism side that I struggle with on a daily basis and only see the perks or want to approach it as if autistic savants don’t exist or that when we do, we aren’t allowed to share our experiences or else we are just bragging or showing off when we are genuinely trying to explain something.
For example someone in the artist lounge subreddit asked why some young kids on social media are so good at art. I told them perhaps some may be gifted children like I was, and also explained others might just have a passion for art and practice a lot more, and in general that kids can learn things easier when picked up at a young age… be it language, art or musical instrument learning. It just comes across super jealous, bitter and insecure when people can’t accept that savants exist and that we have a life story or anecdote to share too. Someone accused me of bragging to which I replied it seems toxic to interpret it that way, and that it’s unfair to pretend savants don’t exist. But as long as i stepped up and tried to arrange a date, i wasn’t asking her to date me, just a casual meet up to see each other. It turned into an argument and then she told me she’s not that into me, and that I’m in this way deeper than she is, and that she’s not ready for a relationship. hi yall, this is my first post here, super super fun. i have this roommate who has actually never really been a problem up until a couple months ago or so. buckle in because this one is kind of complicated.
when i originally moved in to this place i was in a long-term relationship, i was also pretty much a hermit and didn’t really enjoy going out drinking (i still don’t). my roommate during this time would constantly pressure me into going to bars i didn’t want to go to for MONTHS. i would always get made fun of for ‘letting my boyfriend control my life’, ‘having attachment issues’, etc. i never thought much of it because a) we’re not friends and her opinion really doesn’t affect me, and b) im happy with the way my life is.
fast forward to a couple months ago, this roommate started dating a new guy who is… very scarily similar to me? is the best way i can describe it. me and this boy have the same hair colour, eye colour, skin colour, music taste, fashion sense, shoes, introverted personality, etc. ever since she started dating this guy my life has been absolute fucking hell, i feel like their hotel room service or something at this point. they are always here during the day, having loud shower sex (in our shared shower), making a huge mess with MY personal plates and cutlery, leaving garbage everywhere, and then running away to his house to spend the night before i can say anything. she never does any chores, i have done absolutely everything around the house for the past 2 months, including taking out the garbage every single week, unclogging the shower drain twice a month, sweeping and mopping the floors, etc. i would have no problem doing these things on my own if the amount of cleaning reflected the amount of messes i make, but instead i am cleaning up after 3 people, on top of also working 6 days a week. i don’t think it’s unfair to expect my jobless roommate who is not in school and does nothing except fuck her boyfriend in my shower to AT LEAST clean up after herself.
additionally, my roommate, who a couple months ago would make fun of me for being the way i am, has now started to subtly copy me in a lot of different ways. for starters, she has changed every single one of her shower products to be the exact same as mine. her and her boyfriend spend every waking minute together, but they never go out, just like what i was made fun of for months prior. she changed from being a complete night owl (waking up at around 1pm every day) to setting her daily alarm at the exact same time as me (6;30am), she does not have a job or any classes so she had no reason to change her sleep schedule so suddenly. this one hit really close to home as i only started waking up early as a way to avoid social interaction in the house. she’s been shopping for clothing and shoes in my style, and intentionally leaving these new clothes and shoes around the house for me to see. the best way i can describe living here right now is that it feels like an intentional punishment for me being the person i am, like she’s trying to get me to either change my personality or move out. (neither of which are going to happen)
i have confronted her already about the dishes, the loud shower sex, and the chores, none of which have really improved. i guess i came here mostly to rant, but also to ask just genuinely wtf am i supposed to do in this situation? i just want to feel at home in the home i pay for, take care of, and clean. is that too much to ask? how should i approach this going forward?

additionally, my roommate, who a couple months ago would make fun of me for being the way i am, has now started to subtly copy me in a lot of different ways. for starters, she has changed every single one of her shower products to be the exact same as mine. her and her boyfriend spend every waking minute together, but they never go out, just like what i was made fun of for months prior. she changed from being a complete night owl (waking up at around 1pm every day) to setting her daily alarm at the exact same time as me (6;30am), she does not have a job or any classes so she had no reason to change her sleep schedule so suddenly. this one hit really close to home as i only started waking up early as a way to avoid social interaction in the house. she’s been shopping for clothing and shoes in my style, and intentionally leaving these new clothes and shoes around the house for me to see. the best way i can describe living here right now is that it feels like an intentional punishment for me being the person i am, like she’s trying to get me to either change my personality or move out. (neither of which are going to happen)
i have confronted her already about the dishes, the loud shower sex, and the chores, none of which have really improved. i guess i came here mostly to rant, but also to ask just genuinely wtf am i supposed to do in this situation? i just want to feel at home in the home i pay for, take care of, and clean. is that too much to ask? how should i approach this going forward?
i’m just so sick of having to dedicate so much of my free time to cleaning up messes i didn’t make, for people who treat me like shit. i also just cannot fucking stand laziness, and all of my alone time has been robbed of me. please help

I have been taking the approach of 90% input in my language learning. For the past 1 year or so I hardly speak (only once a week at a language cafe). But I've been listening and reading for about 3 hours a day.
I'm getting pretty good and quite impressed with how much I'm able to understand.
However I tried hanging out with a friend yesterday and we started with speaking in Swedish the whole time, until about 1 hour in and I realise I'm struggling a lot expressing myself complex ideas. I don't know how to be funny, to be sympathetic, etc. We switched to English halfway though. Then I went home and recorded myself and my pronunciation and accent still sound like shit.
So now I think it's probably time to switch to output. I dont have any specific questions but I just want to hear, if you guys have any experience and what have you done to make yourself better.

I’m a college sophomore and I had an on site interview for a marketing internship today. I have 0 experience in internship interviews and i dont know if the interviewer was really rude or if this is how interview is supposed to be like.
The interview started off with me introducing myself and when I did the interviewer looks super uninterested and when I was done she stared at me as if to say “that’s it?”. Then we started with the questions like “what are your strengths, what is the time that you failed something?” etc. and I gave my answer and she stared at me like my answer was the worst shit she’s ever heard and was like “um. Can you give another example?” Like ?. But i didnt think my answer was that bad? I explained the situation and what I did at that time.
There was another instance where she asked me to rank from 1-10 and she just said “communication” and i was like “What do you mean? Like my communication or how much I value communication?” And she was like “or what? My communication?”
Sorry for the long rant. Maybe i’m just sensitive but i feel really worthless after the interview.

I recently took a side gig for a for few weeks working a concession stand at a local festival. I work alongside the owner everyday, She is a lovely woman. I respect the business she has built. I have an extensive background in hospitality and we often talk about the business and business-side of things. We've talked about her family, her kids, her relationships, her goals, her dreams, her likes, her dislikes.....see where I am going with this?
I am always the one leading the conversation, asking questions, just being friendly. It's just the two of us working together for 8 hours a day and it's just chit chat. BUT - She has never asked a single question about me. Nothing. I've thrown out some things in conversation that, if presented to me in conversation, I'd have some follow up questions. She is not a standoffish person. She's been very open with me about a lot of personal things. But again, it's all about her.
It leaves me with the impression that she just doesn't give a shit. So, why should I? I'm only working this festival for another week and a half.
