Totally unsure if this is allowed, and if its not, please take the post down. But like the title states, I am trying to find a historical reference or match to this coat of arms which appeared engraved on a small silver breastplate that was recovered from the shipwreck site of the Nuestra Senora de Atocha which sank on the return trip to Spain off of Key West in the year 1622. She was carrying many wealthy passengers and military personnel when she sank, and I believe that this CoA may belong to one of these people. If someone is able to find a direct match to this coat of arms I can offer $100 US via online payment. I do not have the faintest idea of how to read this coat of arms, or what any symbolism is, and have no clue how to have this professionally researched. If this coat of arms can be identified, it may be possible to find out who exactly owned this artifact 400 years ago as we still have the passenger manifest, and that would be a rather significant discovery! Lastly, if anybody has advice on having this professionally researched, it would be greatly appreciated.
