Okay, so I discovered ASMR about three/four months ago and... wow! So much content and it has been quite a nice thing for me to get into when life gets a bit tricky. After reading/listening to a lot of people's work, I decided to write a script. I do not intend to record this myself - nobody needs to hear my voice lol!!
I'm not expecting anyone to read, or comment - I wrote this for fun and curious to see what people think! However, if you do, thankyou!! Please feel free to leave a comment, and constructive feedback. Still learning the ropes, so to speak.
I'm definitely not expecting any voice artists to want to pick this up, but again, if you do, thankyou so much!! Feel free to post on Youtube, Patreon etc and I'm fine with monetization. Just please provide full credit to me and a link to the script :)
Also, I know I include a lot of directions on background noise, but I leave that entirely up to the artist! It's mainly to break up big blocks of exposition, but from the stuff I've listened to, I do prefer background noises. I just find it much more immersive.
As put in the title, I've deliberately kept both Yandere and listener gender neutral. Both Yandere and listener can be any gender! I wrote this for everyone! My personal preference would be Yandere girl, listener boy, but again, I'm not fussed if that's not your thing!
Finally, and I hope she doesn't mind me doing this, but I wanted to do a little plug to HuskyWolfGirl's YT channel. She was one of the first ASMR channels I found and really helped influence me in seeking out other content, both on Reddit and YouTube, and wanting to write my own stuff. So, the premise is you've been dating someone for a couple of weeks and you're starting to really like them. You've even been thinking that things could get pretty serious. That said, they are a bit odd, only ever meeting up with you at night, not eating a huge amount, and always being cold. One night, you finally get intimate with each other and something happens. They change into a strange creature right in front of you, with wings, big fangs and red eyes. The last thing you see is them coming at you, and everything goes dark...
Muffled noises. Fire crackling in a grate. Maybe some distant wind through the window.
A chair creaking. The sound of straining rope, which starts soft and then increases in volume. Someone has been restrained and is trying to free themselves.
Footsteps, loud and clunky as someone approaches.

Yandere
Thank God! You’re awake. Finally! You’ve been asleep ages.

More staining rope noises, increasing in intensity.

Yandere
(sounding worried)
Please don’t struggle. You’re only going to hurt yourself. I’ve been around a while. I know my way around a knot. Please. I said STOP.

The word ‘stop’ is echoey. It has power in it. The noises stop.

Yandere
Okay. Thankyou.

Noise of a chair being pulled across the room.

Yandere
Look, I’m sorry, okay. This was not the plan. I just want you to know that. I’m not going to hurt you, or do anything bad. I mean yeah, okay, tying you up isn’t great, I admit. But I just want to sit and talk with you for a little bit. If that’s okay.

Sound of Yandere sitting down. A slight rope strain.


Yandere
Ah, you don’t think it’s okay. I get that. Honest, I’m sorry for having to restrain you like this. I tried not to make it too tight. Are you in pain? You are? Damn. I’ll try to keep this quick. I really am not going to hurt you. I promise.
(sighs)
I only had to tie you up because I need you to listen to me. And after what happened last night, I figured you’d only run if you saw me again. I wouldn’t blame you. But if you did try to get away before we’ve spoken, and I had to stop you, I could hurt you. Not intentionally or anything, but… ah, now you look even more confused.
(sighs again)
You want to say something to me. I’ll take the gag out in a minute, I promise. I know you probably hate me right now. This is all just typical me. Diving in head first, not thinking things through! And now we’re…I… I’m in trouble.
Don’t look at me like that!

The rope straining sounds start again. The listener really wants to get free.

Yandere
Trust me when I say you’re not going anywhere. I’m hundreds of years old and you’re not the first person I’ve had to tie up in my time. Oh Jesus, that sounds so wrong.

At that, the straining stops. The listener is probably trying to get their head around what was just said.

Yandere
Ahh yeah, urm, so that was a slip. I guess I just better get to it. Fact is, I know we’ve only been on a few dates, but things have been so good so far. You’re just so cool to hang out with. I really loved spending time with you, and I think you felt the same.
(beat, Yandere is studying the listener for an answer, but they are keeping still for now)
Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone like you before. You make me feel something I haven’t felt in years. Decades. I’ve been alone a while, you know? I was kind of happy to be, until I saw you. I remember seeing you with your friends in the restaurant. Remember, the one I work at? You looked so happy, so full of life. You remember the first night we met? How you spilt a drink on me? Well, that wasn’t actually your fault. I just wanted an excuse to talk to you, so I tripped up near you. I’m pretty clumsy at the best of times, but I didn’t exactly put on an Oscar winning performance.
(yandere chuckles)
I kinda got the impression you figured that out to be honest. But you didn’t seem to care. I don’t think anyone has ever looked at me the way you did. I felt like the most special person in the room. In the whole universe. Are you cold? I’ll put more wood on the fire.

Sound of wood being added to the fire, and flames. Yandere sits down, hissing.

Yandere
Shit, burned my hand! Typical. Is that better though? Don’t worry. I heal quickly, trust me. See? Ah damn, you look so pale. Please believe me. I won’t do anything to you. You’re everything to me. I know it’s fast. I know it’s odd! But you’re wonderful, and amazing, and beautiful and… I’m in love with you.
Remember what you kept saying to me? That you wanted to wait before we spent a night together until it was the right time? That we should get to know each other properly first? Well last night was just… wow. Being with you made it feel like my heart was beating again. It’s probably why… well, what happened last night happened.
What you saw was my true form. It happens sometimes when we lose control of our emotions. I’m usually so good at keeping myself in check. Lots of practice, you know? But I couldn’t help it. And once things got, urm, good last night…
(beat)
I’m such an idiot. I shouldn’t have let it happen. But I was just enjoying it so much.
Oh my, you’re crying. Please stop.
(echoey)
Stop!
Thankyou. Oh, now you look confused. When I want to, I can compel people to do things. Well, kind of. It doesn’t always work. Never really something I mastered, you know? I don’t like doing it anyway. I just don’t want you to be scared. I need you calm. I can hear your heart beating and it’s… distracting.
(beat)
I can see you really want that gag out. I suppose I can do. Just don’t scream. Nobody is going to hear you.

Sounds of material as the gag is removed.

Yandere
There we go. Oh, no, honey, please don’t… I said there’s no point screaming. Oh, go on then. May as well get it out your system, I guess.

Sounds of strained rope, a creaking chair and footsteps as the listener struggles and Yandere walks to the other end of the room. We hear water being poured into a glass and more footsteps as Yandere comes back.

Yandere
Would you like some water? I can hold it up to… there you go. Not too fast! You’ve spilt it all down yourself now! I know it’s kind of cold in here for you. I can’t really feel it, you know? The cold, I mean. Well, my body is always cold. Kind of comes with the territory of… What? Let you go? I promise, I will do, okay? But there’s just a few things I need to discuss with you first.
(beat)
I won’t hurt you! I would never… why don’t you believe… okay, yeah, I know it looks bad I tied you up like this.
(beat)
Okay, no need to be rude. I know you’re upset and…
(echoey)
That’s enough!
(beat)
Now, I took your gag out because you asked me to, but you will listen to me. Neither of us have a choice in that now. I was gonna wait to tell you this, you know? I mean, I don’t even know when I was gonna tell you. I hadn’t made my mind up. It’s kind of a hard thing to bring up, believe me. Like when do you do it? Third date? Just before I meet your parents? Wedding night? Honeymoon? Kinda hard to jump on a plane to the sunny Amalfi Coast if you run the risk of bursting into flame. But…
Ah, I’m rambling. Okay, I’m just gonna say it. Thing is, well the truth is, I… I’m a Vampire.
(beat)
Okay, so now you think I’m crazy, wonderful. What? That ship had already… okay, you’re being rude again.

Sound of strained ropes again.

Yandere
If you keep struggling like that you’re going to start bleeding. Not a very good idea, you think, given what I’ve just told you? Oh, there’s no such thing huh? Well then. Ask yourself if you can explain what you saw last night. My wings, my hair… my fangs. Like my entire body changed in front of you. I know you saw it.
(beat)
Wait… no, you weren’t drunk.
(beat)
And I certainly did not put anything in your drink! I mean, I did have to knock you out but that was just a small bump on the head! I didn’t plan this, you know! This isn’t some Baby Reindeer rip-off.
(beat)
What? You hated that show? Me too, to be honest. Kind of creeped me out. I mean, how pathetic is that? I’m a 700 year old Vampire who kidnaps and ties up the person I’m in love with, and a crazy Scottish gal is too much for me. I mean, what the actual hell. You probably think I’m the worst Vampire ever.
(beat)
I’m not lying to you. I promise. I wouldn’t lie to you about something like this. Here, feel my skin! It’s room temp, it’s always room temp! You always used to comment on how cold I was. Didn’t you ever wonder why we only ever met up at night? Why I never really ate that much when we went out to dinner? What, you think I live for Caesar Salad without dressing? Why do you think my face is always white?
(beat)
Yeah, I knew you thought it was weird. But I knew you never wanted to say anything. I think I loved you for that even more. Despite everything, you still wanted to know me. Do you know how rare it is to find someone you really click with? Someone who sparkles for you like the brightest star, and the way they look at you means they might, just might, feel the same way? I mean, I thought you did.
(hopeful)
Do you?
(beat)
If you say yes, will I let you go? I don’t want you to say yes because you’re scared of me!
(beat)
If I loved you, I’d untie your hands? Are they hurting? I… look, okay, I’ll untie you if it’ll make you feel better. But please don’t try anything. Please don’t. Thing is, the main thing I need to tell you is that you’re in danger. We both are, now you know what I am. Stay still.

Sound of rope being untangled.

Yandere
Okay, there you go. Oh, your wrists look sore. I told you not to struggle too much! I can give you something for that. Okay, sorry, I know you’re still a bit nervous. I won’t try to touch you again unless I have to, so please stay in the chair. The ropes can go back on if they need to.
(beat)
Why are we in danger? Well, it’s a bit complicated. Trying to condense two thousand years of Vampire lore into one conversation is a little hard, you know? I mean, there’s so much crap out there about Vampires. Half the stuff paints us as some sort of wild animal, whilst the other half… I swear I wanted to bite Stephanie Myer. But through all the literal shit they do get some things right. We exist. We live in secret in the human world. We used to be human, until another of our kind turned us, and we became what we are. We drink blood to survive.
(beat)
Okay, I’ll ignore your sarcastic tone. How many are there of us? I’m really not sure, you know? Less than there was when I was first turned, I think. We spend a lot of time in hiding. We really don’t want the human world knowing about us. That part is true as well.
(beat)
Because we are better off! When I was first turned, humans did know about us, and they hunted us. We Vampires, we are stronger than the average human. We also have faster instincts, and we’re very good at hiding. I don’t know for sure, but I think we kind of evolved to be really good at hunting, well… humans. No, please don’t move! I don’t do that anymore! I haven’t fed… I mean, I don’t drink human blood. That’s not what this is about! No…

Sound of running, and a whooshing sound like material flying through the air. Then creaks as the listener is sat in the chair, followed by the sound of rope.

Yandere
I told you not to try anything! I’m going to have to tie you up again now! How am I so fast? Have you not been listening? What? You think I want to keep you tied up? You promise you won’t try that again? Fine, I won't put the ropes back on, but please don’t.
(beat)
I know this sounds crazy, but trust me, it’s real. I’m real. Vampires are real! I’m standing right in front of you! Can you not see me?
(beat)
Where are we all? Well that’s the thing. Most of us tend to keep to ourselves. A while back now, I’m not sure when exactly, a decision was kind of made that we would avoid contact with humans. For every human we hunted, ten would spring up to hunt us back and it looked like it was to be all out war. So, we hid. Got the blood we need from animals. Only some of the bad ones still feed on humans, and even then they do it stealthily. They’re very smart. They use human laws and influence to hide themselves. It’s easy to get very rich when you’ve been around for hundreds of years. They’re the really bad ones.
(beat)
Yeah, quite a few famous people are Vampires. But not all of us are like that. I don’t want to hurt anyone. Most of us try to live with humans. We get our blood from butchers, or hunting wild animals, and we just get by.
(beat)
No. I haven’t seen any of my kind for a long time. Not directly anyway. I’m alone.
(beat)
That’s a very long story. I will tell you, but I first need you to decide something. The thing is, the decision to keep away from humans and to hide, well, it was more than a decision. It was a general order. The accepted nature of a Vampire is that we do not reveal ourselves to humans unless… well unless we plan to make them one of us.
(beat)
Please don’t move. I need to explain… don’t even think about it.
(echoey)
STOP!
(beat)
Don’t you understand? I can’t let you go because you know about us now! And you shouldn’t do. Sit down, please, or I will have to make you.

A chair creaks as the listener sits back down.

Yandere
If we come into contact with humans, we take a lot of steps to avoid revealing who we really are. What we are. Most of us don’t risk getting close to anyone in case they figure it out. We can blend in, but the closer someone gets, the more they see us. Like you were starting to. And in moments of heightened emotion… well, you saw what happened.
(beat)
Why am I telling you now? Because you saw me. You may not have known what I was, but you saw enough. And if you told someone, and they told someone… before you know it someone hears who we don’t want to hear. And then, they’d come for you. They’d come for both of us.
(beat)
Remember I mentioned there are some powerful famous ones amongst us? Well, they like their lives. Exposing Vampires to the world could jeopardize that. And that is something that they won’t… believe me, you don’t want to piss them off.
(beat)
I’m sorry, it’s not that I didn’t trust you, but I couldn’t take that chance. As long as you knew about me, you’d be in danger. Anyone you told would be in danger. Anyone who you might have told. Leaving you free, knowing about me… I just couldn’t do it. It’s why I had to kidnap you. I didn’t really have a lot of time to think.
(emotionally, like Yandere is holding back tears)
And now we’re done, aren’t we? I can see it in the way you’re looking at me. Please believe me. I would never have done this to you. I had no choice. I really didn’t. I swear. Being with you has been the best time in my life. And I’ve lived forever. It’s a long time to be alone.
(beat)

What happens now? Well, this is where it gets a bit, urm, complicated.
(beat)
I get it, you won’t tell anyone. And I believe you, I do. But it goes beyond that now. You know about us, and that knowledge is a curse. I know you, I know how conscientious you are. You’ll see Vampires in everything now. What if someone goes missing and you think a Vampire did it? What if you tell the wrong person? You’ll be dooming yourself, and you wouldn’t even know it.
(beat)
Yeah, I said I’ll let you go, and I will do. Well, that’s kind of up to you. You’ve seen that I have the power of compulsion. Vampires can use this to alter memories. It’s hard, and we avoid doing it unless we absolutely have to, but we can. If you want to leave, right now, then you can. But I would need to remove from your mind any memory of me. All the times we spent together would need to go.
(beat)
I could just try to remove what happened last night, yeah. But if I just disappear, you’ll look for me. Better you never met me. Better that I never existed for you.
(Yandere sniffs)
That is the price for your freedom, and for your safety. I will let you go, but you will go forever. We will never see each other again.
(beat)
The process won’t harm you! I have done it before. You would simply go to sleep, and wake up at home. You could get on with your life.

Yes, I did mention you have a choice. The other option is that you don’t leave. You stay here with me.

No, not as my prisoner. Haven’t I told you I don’t want to hurt you? I have no interest in holding you against your will. If you were to stay, it would be your own choice. But the only way to guarantee your safety would be, well, the thing is, I would need to… you would need to become like me. A Vampire.
(beat)
I’m afraid there isn’t another way. If you were to become a Vampire, you would be safe. Nobody would come after you. It would be in your best interests to not tell others about us. About what you were. But it’s more than that.
When I first entered into a relationship with you, I knew that if we were going to get serious, I would need to have this conversation eventually. I hoped we would be much further along than this, but there we go. It’s a lot to put on you, especially from someone you’ve not known that long.
If you were to become a Vampire, you could stay with me. Forever if you wanted. We could share eternity. Watch as this world grows and changes. There’s a lot of bad in it, but a lot of good as well. I could show it to you. We could see it together. For hundreds and hundreds of years.
There’s props to being a Vampire too. As I said, you have increased strength, and agility. You never get sick. Your body never changes, or ages. As long as you consume the blood you need, you don’t need any other form of sustenance. We don’t even need toilets! If nobody harms you, you can go on forever.
(beat)
Yes. I’m serious. I’m offering you the world, if you want to take it.
(Yandere’s voice quivers. This next bit is hard for them to say)
Of course, you wouldn’t have to stay with me forever. Once fully turned, if you wanted to, you could leave. Make your own way in the world. But this couldn’t happen straight away. Becoming a Vampire is an intense experience that I can’t even begin to describe to you. Everything is turned up like 1,000 percent. It’s a lot, and it can be very hard to get used to. If I were to change you, you would need to stay with me and learn how to control this power. And it could take a while. You would not be able to even think about returning to your old life for months, possibly years. If you went back too soon, you would run the risk of hurting those you loved.
(beat)
Yes. You would need to disappear. You would not be able to speak to your family, your friends, or anyone, for a long time.
(beat)
Yeah, I already said you can stay with me. I would help you, and bring you anything you needed. In time, there’s no reason why you could not reconnect with your old life. But you would have to be so careful. No matter how well you manage to integrate, or how well you hide who you really are, you would be a Vampire. Always.

The fire crackles in the grate as the listener takes all of this in.

You would not be allowed to leave here without me, and if you tried I would need to tie you up again, but if you promised me not to, then you can stay as long as you like. I am trying to automated adding new items in Paperless to a Notion database. I use paperless to manage the documents and want to keep using it for that. But I have been using notion to manage other aspects of my life e.g. I have databases with all the jobs I have had, so I can keep track of start dates and ends dates, roles, etc. I then link each job with a database of pensions I have.
So i thought if I have a database of correspondences I can link it to other databases e.g. I have a letter from my job confirming a promotion I save it in Paperless then in notion I can link it to that job or a statement from a pension provider I can link it to the relevant account.
Anyway I am trying to automate this. I'm not a good coder, but with ChatGPT's help I have a script that imports that data into Notion and copies the relevant fields. However, I have it set up to look every 10 minute for documents tagged with "inbox" (I'd prefer if Paperless could notify a webhook on new documents ingestion but sadly that's not available so I rely on the tags) so I want remove the inbox tag when the script successfully imports the document.
Here's how I am currently trying but it just doesn't work.

I had such a shitty experience at Clicks Cape Quarter when trying to collect my medication. See my letter of complaint below:
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I received at your Clicks Cape Quarter regarding my chronic medication. I have always relied on receiving an SMS each month to notify me when my medication is ready for collection. This month, however, I did not receive any notification. Concerned, I visited the pharmacy, only to be informed that my scripts were exhausted.
Upon reviewing the dates of my last prescription on 11th April 2024, I found this information to be inaccurate. The prescriptions showed the following repeats remaining: - Medication A: 2 of 5 repeats - Medication B: 3 of 5 repeats - Medication C: 4 of 5 repeats
Given this, I was puzzled as to why I was told I had no repeats left.
In an effort to resolve this, I sent a repeat prescription written by my doctor on 9th January 2024 to the pharmacy. The pharmacist, however, refused to dispense my chronic medication, citing that it is a schedule 5 drug and must be sent directly from my doctor to the pharmacy. I was particularly distressed when the pharmacist raised their voice, insisting that previous dispensations were incorrect and that they could not give me my medication.
This interaction left me extremely upset, as I need my chronic medication to manage my health. Furthermore, the pharmacist informed me that there had been a change in protocols due to the dismissal of the last manager for not adhering to this schedule 5 drug policy. There had been no communication from the pharmacy about this change, which added to my frustration. The pharmacist asserted that it was not their obligation to inform customers of such changes, which I find highly unprofessional and negligent.
Additionally, during a visit in January when I was ill, I provided my 6-month repeat script for chronic medication. The pharmacist then told me I had prescriptions left and should return before June to utilize them. Contrarily, the pharmacist during my recent visit informed me that I could only receive two more months' worth of medication and the previous explanation was incorrect.
I am very disappointed by the inconsistent information and the lack of communication regarding changes in protocol. Being publicly reprimanded was not only unprofessional but also extremely distressing.
Given these issues, I kindly request the following: 1. A thorough investigation into the handling of my prescriptions and why there was a discrepancy regarding my repeat medication. 2. Clarification on the current protocols for schedule 5 drugs and why this information was not communicated to customers. 3. An apology from the pharmacist who raised their voice and a commitment to ensure such unprofessional behavior is not repeated. 4. A detailed explanation of how you plan to prevent such issues in the future to improve customer service.
I have had numerous issues with this branch before and am now reconsidering my options for where I get my medication. I hope to see prompt action taken regarding my complaint.

A number of fans of the Homeworld (HW) Universe have put a lot of thought and effort into their posts and that’s a testament to the passion that HW has brought to a lot of people.
I want to start by stating it pains me to say HW 3, especially the campaign has been a disappointment. Did we know what we were getting? Yes we had clues. Did we know the potential that HW 3 could have been based on the previous games? Oh there was immense potential!
The Homeworld series has been my favourite games (including mods) since the release of HW 1 in 1999 and I was a FIG backer for HW 3. None of the games have been perfect, but the storytelling left a long term impression and naturally the desire to want more from the series and continue to story. This has led to a loyal fan base including myself. I remember reading the HW1 manual and details about the Kushan Kiithid and the ships details numerous times.
Some of the epic storytelling events in the series that have made Homeworld what it is:
· The Kushan Kithid feuding for generations on a desert planet, Kharak, to then discover an ancient starship (Khar-Toba) buried in the desert sands. The genetic study also revealing they were not native to the planet.
· Discovering the Guide Stone in the Khar-Toba with a map pointing out Hiigara “Home”
· Discovering a Hyperspace Core and the Kiithid coming together to build the Mothership with Karan S’Jet integrated as Fleet Command
· Kharak burning – What treaty did the Kharak people break and what was their past? The war with the Taiidan Empire begins to reclaim their home.
· The Garden of Kadesh and realising they were part of the same race.
· The Bentusi and discovering why the people of Hiigara were exiled to the far reaches of the galaxy.
· Defeating the Taiidan Emperor, Riesstiu IV, and taking back Hiigara
· Learning more about the Kiithid in Cataclysm, the Beast, and the Bentusi’s fear – “We shall not be bound”
· Bentus sacrificing itself so the Hiigarans and Karan S’Jet could re-unite the 3 Hyperspace Cores
· Progenitor Relics, ships and guardians
· Balcora Gate and the battle to recovering the third Hyperspace core from Makaan (who believed he was the Sajuuk-Khar) and the Vagyr
· Transferring from the mothership to the long-lost Progenitor starship Sajuuk. Seeing the mothership drift away. It was a memorable moment .
· Saving Hiigara from the Scorched Earth scenario. The fleet fought hard to save Hiigara and their people.
· The Eye of Aaran which Sajuuk and the 3 hyperspace cores unlocking the vast hyperspace gate network. Hiigara opened up a trade/exploration/colonisation network across the galaxy and beyond. Not just for them, but for all civilisations.
Finally the day comes when the HW3 Collector’s Edition arrives after waiting years as a FIG Backer. It was amazing. The artwork was beautiful. The models were great and go well with the HW2 collector’s edition. After so many years, HW3 was finally here!
I finished the HW3 campaign a couple of nights ago. First there was anger, frustration, followed by mourning the loss of such a great opportunity that could have been for the Homeworld Universe. After playing 4 previous HW games for years, it feels like the team that wrote the HW3 script really did not understand the franchise, storyline to date, and its ‘spirit’.
After watching the promotional videos from the team from Blackbird Interactive saying HW3 was for the fans that have been with them along the 25 year journey (Relic Entertainment back then) the disappointment was very real. Sure it’s a visually beautiful game and some of the game features are an improvement which they couldn’t do in HW 1 and 2, but this did not feel like a continuation for the long term fans. This felt like a simpler HW labelled game for a new fan base. Such a missed opportunity! There has been the release of Homeworld Mobile and the VR version so Gearbox are looking to maximise the revenue while they can, and I can’t blame them for that.
My HW3 opinion:
· Aesthetically, HW3 is stunning
· I really like the look of the Khar-Kushan Mothership
· Deserts of Kharak showed the struggle and Kiithid conflict aswell as how difficult life was on a Desert Planet. HW1 was about the Kushan coming together to fight for their true home after Kharak was burned. Cataclysm did a good job expanding the different Kushan (now Hiigaran) Kiithid. HW2 felt like an “unbound” storyline with the three Hyperspace Cores – Karan got her time in the limelight – the three cores and Sajuuk combined was the key to the hyperspace network and “The Age of S’Jet”. HW3 continued with a focus on being ‘unbound’ lacking the substance behind who the Hiigarans are and their history, even before their exile…a missed opportunity.
· Popular fan request – Let us finish collecting resources! Imogen and the fleet were being hunted so I understand the urgency behind the gameplay…….but still, the player should have the option to jump when they want to.
· Besides one interceptor getting stuck on an object on mission 13, I had a pretty smooth gaming experience. The intelligence of the fleet and formations was a bit dodgy which required a lot of micro management.
· Cinematics between missions. The quality varied. Feels like more time and money was spent on the development of each one instead of a decent storyline. Why did it need to be done when you compare to the predecessor games? Likely because this game was more character focussed instead of a Fleet Focus.
· Khar-Kushan colliding with the giant freighter. That would have caused catastrophic damage and serious structural integrity issues. It seemed a bit too much! An evasive manoeuvre which led to the Synth Hyperspace Core housing being damaged as it clipped the freighter would have been enough to temporarily take out, power, propulsion and two out of the three cores.
· Ship designs were bland and generic lacking the HW2 creativity. Hiigarans have discovered quite a bit of Progenitor tech so why are they still stuck with the same types of weapons.
· No Sub Systems compared to HW2
· No targetable ship components e.g. engines, primary weapon etc. compared to HW2
· IMO the fleet ship types and options were far inferior to HW 1 & 2. It felt dumbed down significantly.
· One kind of Corvette……..really???
· Hiigaran Carrier….horrible design and couldn’t keep up with the Khar-Kushan.
· Why no Ship Yard? I can understand the Khar-Kushan had capital ship building capabilities, but it still would have added flexibility in Fleet logistics.
· Fleet control options were not great and missing a few options compared to HW 1 & 2. When you have a fast paced fleet battle going on, you want to minimise the time it takes to search for ship order functions.
· Using classic controls with terrain tunnels sucked. I struggled with the camera view because of the terrain. Too often I was met with blue screen because the camera was inside a structure or terrain.
· The antagonist – The Queen of Incarnate, Tiaa’Ma. An Unbound that has been around for millennia with far superior knowledge and use of hyperspace, can move and destroy planets on a whim, can turn off hypergates or redirect them. With that kind of power, why didn’t she hunt down the cores and search the galaxy for them? A tyrant that has killed millions. The Queen in general as the antagonist and the campaign ending was incredibly bad.
· With the 3 Hyperspace Cores gone, the 15^th fleet are not the only ones stranded. The Hyperspace gate network is down for all civilisations. Far jumping is gone. What detrimental effect will that have on the galaxy at large including the Hiigaran colonies, economy, diplomatic relations with other civilisations etc.?
· Imogen’s choice not to engage with the Incarnate after their Queen was gone was poor form!
· Imogen S’Jet – The hair…dry and wet…WTF
· I personally wanted to learn more about the Progenitor. Instead, I got hive mind Progenitor worshipers and still very little information about them or those who created the cores and the gates etc.
· Sajuuk combined with the three hyperspace cores was the key to opening the Hyperspace Gates. It was a superior ship IMO. So where is Sajuuk now? Were the 3 cores removed and put into a new mothership (Khar-Sajuuk) with the primary weapon looking like a mini Sajuuk sticking out of the centre of the ship. If it is the Sajuuk with the Mothership built around it, the scale is way off. Sajuuk was a mothership size vessel!
So after that rant, HW3 is beautiful but a hard pill to swallow after 25 years of loving the HW Universe. Life goes on! I hope the loyal fan base provides constructive feedback for BBI and Gearbox Software in hope it is listened to and used to bring back epic storytelling.

Apologies if I am breaking any subreddit rules here. I'm trying to identify if SN could be a good fit for us. I'd also be open to anyone who wishes to DM about this topic or give me a demo of their SN setup. I know this subreddit will be biased but I wanted to hear from those who actually work with the product before I talk to any sales reps.
I am one of about a dozen developers on a team that's specialized in the Hyland OnBase WorkView case/document management platform. We've been using it for over a decade and have built a lot of successful client projects with it, but the drawbacks have reached a point where we are looking for a replacement. Ideally the new platform is something that our team of developers can learn and become proficient with relatively quickly. We'd also be open to hiring some people with SN experience, and/or bringing in a professional services group to get us on track.
A typical client project for our team is to build a case management system that a state government office of 25-50 case workers would use to enroll applicants in a program to receive some type of assistance. Case workers would perform a series of checklist and document reviews on the applicants' cases and move their case through a variety of steps from intake to closeout. Third party users may also log in to this system and perform their own reviews of cases. Users might be grouped into teams and can only see cases assigned to their team.
Not all our projects follow this model, it's just become a common one for us. I've only spent a couple hours reading about SN, skimming through some of the videos on their website, so I still need to do more research, but I wanted to lay out some info about our current platform below. I would love to hear feedback from the SN crowd here about how it compares relative to the pros/cons listed below, and anything in particular you love/hate about it, things you wish you knew about it before you started, etc.
The good:

• Easy to build a data model -- intuitive for developers to define classes, fields, relationships between classes, and even extension classes where appropriate.
• Easy to use the screen designer to throw together an interface for users to enter data into your fields (more on this in the "cons" section).
• Easy to create working filters/queues so staff that use the system can track what's pending their review.
• Easy to set up user groups and control who can see what.
• Document management is built-in, easy to import documents and automatically tag them with keywords based on the record/screen they're being uploaded to. Also easy to query for all documents of a certain type, with certain keyword values, uploaded in a custom date range, etc.
• Transaction history on every record makes it easy to audit who changed what and when.
• Document templates -- the ability to generate a Word/PDF document with dynamic text on demand is very useful for clients that need their staff to print and mail letters.
• Ability to write C# code to do anything we want, even if we could do it with a native component. Our client's business logic often becomes so complex (and changes so often) that it's easier to manage with code libraries that fire when buttons are pressed, rather than with the built-in "no code" workflow design steps.
• Ability to build external applications that interface with/manipulate OnBase data using the OnBase DLL. We have some C# console applications that run on Windows Task Scheduler every night, for example "connect to this FTP instance and import whatever files have been imported in the last 24 hours, turn them all into data objects in OnBase, and send us a summary email".

The bad:

• The look and feel of the client is clunky and outdated, looks like it's from the 90s. It's a Windows application. There is a web client but it lacks some key functionality and also has the same outdated look. The screen designer itself is just a bare bones HTML page you can add rows and columns to and drag/drop your fields on it. We've added some CSS to improve it somewhat and I'm sure if we brought in some designers they could push that further, but we shouldn't have to work so hard to make the default product not look bad. And don't bother trying to use it on your phone or tablet.
• Migrating changes from DEV/QA/PROD is a nightmare. Our WorkView instance has apparently reached the level of complexity at which the tool for exporting your data to be imported into another instance simply crashes and doesn't work anymore. Even when it does work on a fresh instance, it's a confusing experience of mapping all the fields and objects between the two environments and making decisions about whether to keep or overwrite each one. It's reached the point where we have no choice but to build in PROD, and test changes with internal users before we modify permissions so that they are visible to all users. Our TEST and DEV instances are therefore always outdated and not useful as a result. You can imagine how painful this has become.
• Performance is slow. We've never gotten a clear answer from our support calls about why it can take 15+ seconds for a record to load. I suspect this product was simply never intended to be pushed to the limits that we seem to have reached after so many years. From what I can tell, most Hyland customers use OnBase for document management/workflow, and if they have any WorkView/case management projects they use a small number of classes, with a small number of fields. We are 100% WorkView. I would guess our instance has 500 classes (tables), 1000 designed screens, 5000 filters/queues, and 2000 buttons that launch C# scripts. It takes 3 minutes for the OnBase studio/designer IDE to finish logging in/loading our instance before we can begin making any changes to it.
• Licensing is expensive and confusing. You can buy concurrent licenses that are shared between all users (expensive) or named licenses (less expensive) that are assigned on a per-user basis. We host a lot of different client projects on our instance, and it's not a good look when we reach the license limit and users start complaining that they can't log in. Our users have no idea what licenses are and shouldn't have to see error messages they don't understand. Of course this is a problem we can solve with more money but I am curious to learn how SN handles this.
• The built in reporting module leaves a lot to be desired. Very limited customization/styling, and no ability to set up a report to be emailed on a schedule. We instead rely on other modules like PowerBI and Tableau.
• I mentioned in the "good" section that we can build external applications in Visual Studio to create/modify OnBase data, but this is really a response to the poor IDE built into OnBase Studio which lacks so many features, it's easier to just import the OnBase DLL into a Visual Studio solution and build it there, so you have access to breakpoint debugging, logging, Nuget packages, etc. If I'm writing code in the platform IDE, it shouldn't be a miserable experience.
• Very limited developer resources. You won't find any resources on Stackoverflow, Reddit, or anywhere public. If you run into a problem, you can check the Hyland Community forums (good luck, the search functionality is broken) or send an email to support. Likely a result of the OnBase product just not being very well known/popular. Makes me a bit jealous of the more well known platforms like Salesforce and... maybe ServiceNow?? It was refreshing to find an active subreddit, at the very least!

New and more cohesive grayscale palette, better UI readability and visual hierarchy, fewer distractions, lots of new colors.
I can’t use dark themes, and most light themes because the contrast is too high and colors are too bright. Such colors are too distracting for me, and I quickly get tired — not something you want if your job is to write code all day. Squirrelsong theme is low-contrast and uses soft colors, but still provide enough color and style variety to distinguish various elements of the code and avoid long chains of code printed in the same style.

I'm not sure if anyone has brought this up yet, but the WXPN website actually has a page that lists all the songs played on XPN2, which was previously known as Y-Rock on XPN. This page grabs the information from JSON files located at

where {date} is in YYYY-MM-DD format. To make things simpler, I used a script to grab all the JSON files for 2011, filter out repeat songs, and finally generate a spreadsheet containing every song played in 2011. I also created another spreadsheet containing only songs played in April 2011, since that's the month the WatZatSong post was made.
Bad news, though. There were approximately 18,245 unique songs played in 2011 on Y-Rock (probably with some repeats that slipped through the filter due to slight variations in spelling across entries). Specifically in April 2011, there were about 4,245 unique songs played. This means brute forcing the search by listening to every song would take forever. However, this list doesn't filter out songs made by common artists or songs with their lyrics posted online. Figuring out how to do that effectively might make brute forcing a viable option.
Until then, I think the best that can be done is search by keywords and see where that gets us. If nothing comes up after extensive searching, it might indicate that A) the song wasn't played on Y-Rock after all, or B) this list somehow is missing songs.

It doesn't matter if you're still hung over from a three day bender or been sober for years, if you just woke up or have already completed a sober day. For the next 24 hours, lets not drink alcohol!
This pledge is a statement of intent. Today we don't set out trying not to drink, we make a conscious decision not to drink. It sounds simple, but all of us know it can be hard and sometimes impossible. The group can support and inspire us, yet only one person can decide if we drink today. Give that person the right mindset!
What happens if we can't keep to our pledge? We give up or try again. And since we're here in /stopdrinking, we're not ready to give up.
What this is: A simple thread where we commit to not drinking alcohol for the next 24 hours, posting to show others that they're not alone and making a pledge to ourselves. Anybody can join and participate at any time, you do not have to be a regular at /stopdrinking or have followed the pledges from the beginning.
What this isn't: A good place for a detailed introduction of yourself, directly seek advice or share lengthy stories. You'll get a more personal response in your own thread.

As I was scanning through the comments on yesterday's DCI, I was inspired by a lot of you sharing your stories of pride, your answers to the question, and just cheering each other on! That's one of my favorite parts of running the DCI is that I see A LOT more of the cheering section. There was a time, if you can believe it, that I was quite the negative Nellie and I was like Debbie Downer as well. The worst kind of unhappy human being! But now, I find myself so cheerful even in the face of abject failure. It's the wildest feeling, but like Dolly says:
"I've been looking for the sunshine. You know I ain't seen it in so long. Everything's gonna work out just fine, and everything's gonna be alright that's been all wrong. Cause I can see the light of a clear blue morning, I can see the light of a brand new day. I can see the light of a clear blue morning, and everything's gonna be alright, it's gonna be okay." (Also can we talk about the absolutely SICK revival bassline in that song?! Holy shit, GET IT!)
Life wasn't perfect, but my disposition was that the world was out to get me and everything sucked. Staying sober was just not a possibility. But fixing what was wrong in my life, and gaining all the mental wellness and days of sobriety has allowed me to see the light of a clear blue morning and appreciate that everything is going to be alright. Because it isn't all wrong. It truly never was, I just wasn't connected to my body.
I found out that TONIGHT is Game Six for Boston, btw. So I'll be watching some damn good hockey tonight and hopefully celebrating with y'all on Saturday! Sober of course! Anyways, I just wanted to say that I love the way y'all run these comments when I'm at the helm. It's truly fulfilling and one of the things I love the most about being of service for a week!
One of the things I forgot for yesterday's question was: Playing guitar! I used to use it as an escape mechanism, and now instead of just being that it's learning the songs I want to play! It makes me happy when I tackle a song I couldn't play before and find out that while I'm not as good as the original, I'm better than I ever gave myself credit for!
Question of the day: When you think about your favorite response to the sober, hopefully happier version of you, who and what is their response?
For me, it's my ex-wife. She spent half her life with me, and she saw me at my absolute lowest moments and still loves me to date. We're not together, but she's seen the benefits of my healing journey and my sobriety because we still talk. I'm apologetic about my old habits and she's seen how much I've flipped the script even since going sober. But she loves the person I am now almost two years into HRT. She always compliments me on the way I'm handling stuff better even when I wasn't remotely close to asking. That said, it's not always easy to practice the new behaviors when the lizard brain wants me to do the same old shit I used to do. I have to fight to make sure I don't, because none of those habits are helpful at all. She can attest that I've flipped a complete 180.
Shoutout to all the amazing queer and trans people who dropped their amazing battles and support! Y'all remind me why I love doing the DCI and being unapologetically trans and taking space! I'm proud of all you for showing out proud yesterday!!!

I'm New To Kdramas, What Basics Should I Know?
For new watchers of kdramas, we strongly recommend taking a read through our basic FAQ, our KDRAMAS 101, and our Glossary as a starting point to get to know and understand kdramas better.

Just got out of the theatre and was pretty whelmed. The story was straight forward with a little twist. A kid struggles with having to grow up and then has a big realization. I don’t think I was expecting much but as the plot unfolded I was getting some strong feelings on where we were headed.
Now I haven’t followed this movie at all so I’m unsure if this is the case, but it sounds like maybe it was written as a conduit for John to talk about his own growth or maybe more of a love letter to his daughters. Either way I was thrown for a loop when the “reveal” happened because I was over analyzing the movie to my detriment.
SPOILERS AHEAD
Bear with me, I truly thought that it was to revealed that our main character Elizabeth was actually the one in the hospital. The comments of her always having such an active imagination fed the idea that the entire movie was in her mind while she lay in a bed. The thought that maybe she’s in a coma and has to tell these stories in her head is what gives her father hope. It keeps some semblance of brain activity that can be seen from the outside world. I’ll display before you the evidence that stood out to me that this was at the very least in a draft for writing the film:
-It is inferred that the father is dying of a broken heart. Sure broken heart syndrome is real, but I feel it’s much more appropriate for that to be the “disease” a child would place on their grieving parent.
-Ryan Reynolds character was merely an imaginary stand in for Dad since she couldn’t actually leave the hospital. She created a fun adult father figure, that even resembles Krasinski’s character to a degree, and goes on adventures and bonds with him.
-The stairwell in the apartment complex resembled life and death. As she ascended the stairs there was often a shot of a bright light at the top, representing heaven. When she reached the top was when she A. Forced herself to be as imaginative as possible to fight her way back. And B. Ran into the creepy witch figure who represents the scary part of facing death.
-Elizabeth realizes she is going to die so all of these imaginary friends, who were actually created by her, she feels sorry for. So as her last duty before she goes is to find a good home for all of her imaginary friends before she moves on. (More of a theory)
-When Elizabeth runs back upstairs to talk to Reynolds, she says “I don’t know if I can say goodbye again” and he responds “Then don’t” which in the context of the film makes it sound as if she has some sort of influence on whether her father dies or not. Which she obviously wouldn’t. It makes more sense to me if that was him encouraging her to keep fighting to survive her condition. However his response would later make sense after the reveal that he is her IF.
There were also a few more small interactions that clearly lead you to believe that some sequences are taking place all in her head but that also serves the actual story so the point is moot. This was really just a theory I had that continued to develop and my biggest question as it grew closer to the end is “How are they going to do the big reveal” Maybe she runs back into the hospital room and sees her Dad over her body or something? Idk. I felt like there could’ve been a sequence where we felt like everything was taken away and then something dramatic happens and then we get a big moment of catharsis. Which we kind of did when she was telling him the story and he wakes up, but not really. I just never felt like the stakes were high enough to reach that flood of emotions. I was much more touched in the scene where Blue reconnects with his creator.
Either way - it was a fine movie. Great date night option. Definitely a little moving, but almost in the wrong places imo. I’d love to know if there were other versions of the script before the final draft was complete. Shoutout to the Rushmore influence on ending the movie with Ooh La La, slow motion, and a hard cut to credits on beat.
P.S. I’m just now realizing as I right this that this is totally what obsession is about. I just rewatched Zodiac last night for the nth time and am understanding that one cannot apply evidence to a specific theory. I developed a theory and am forcing all of these nuggets to fit where I need them to. Similar to Graysmith and co building their case around Arthur Leigh Allen. The problem is if the fingerprints and handwriting don’t match then you have no case. And when they are disappointed that they cannot convict their guy it crushes them. Similar to how I feel I robbed myself of a bit of joy from this movie.

I'm trying to cut back expenses, and want to delete my TV and landline phone while downgrading my internet speed; looking at Now, but it just offers me adding mobile (which I don't need), while attemting to change my plan at the Xfinity customer portal just says I can't remove phone/TV.
I know I first subscribed in Jan 2020 with a package deal, but looking at my statement gives no expiration date (other than for the free Peacock Plus); attempting to pull up My Account (on phone, tablet or desktop PC) just kicks back "We are having trouble connecting to My Account". (Which has been going on for over a week now.)
Is my only solution to delete the entire account (thus losing my email address and phone number) and con my way through as a new customer? I'm really trying to avoid the Al chat option, or the CSA juggling six different chats/calls and running off a script - I'd rather just do it myself online and be done with it.

Hello, what should I do to completely get rid of the data stored in the browser’s memory, because I have a problem with the browser sending a request to a path that no longer exists, while the page on which the request is sent contains a different path? Maybe u know about this and redundant already but yeah MLM at JC Premier yan *notoriously* known sa pyramiding at networking, disguising as a franchise naman baka kasi hindi na *siguro* gumagana yung yung pagbebenta at simpleng alok techniques nila haha kaya dinaan na sa "franchise".

Sinamahan ko tita ko na umuwi dito sa pinas galing japan kaya I have been in their office almost a month na din last April 24, 2024 sa shaw tabi ng red planet hotel. Nung nandun kami at mineet yung coach nya, nagpakilala na dati daw syang ARKITEKTO na nagwowork sa dubai (taga baseco compound daw sya) at tumigil sa profession nya para nalang daw mag-focus sa HOUSE OF FRANCHISE na to dahil mas malaki daw kinikita nya kumpara sa pagiging arkitekto sa dubai (350k per month daw in peso kinikita nya sa dubai sa house of franchise daw mahigit doble lol). Inside my head was like "WTF?" my GF's uncle is an archi in dubai and he is actually earning really REALLY WELL at malabong ipagpalit ang propesyon nya sa pagbebenta ng siomai.

Anyways I will try to make this beginner friendly with step by step instructions. It isnt very hard, you just might do somethings on the browser you haven't done before. High level, all were doing is running some code that will help us download what is on the screen of Credit Karma transactions
Steps:

Depending on your browser settings, the file should download once the code is done scrolling and running

a script is a physical copy of your desired reality. it is so that you can materialize the exact and specific reality you want to shift to. it consists of a series of basic information about yourself in said reality. your name, your age, birthday, friends, family, what the reality you are shifting to is like, what you look like, and so on.
scripting itself is merely inserting yourself into a specific reality. the more that you add to your script, the more specific it will be. it is not you making up another reality within your mind and it suddenly spawning into existence. this is a common misconception about it so just clearing up that idea here.

no you don't. you don't have to script to shift but it is helpful to have one.

no, you can script as much as you want or as little as you want. some find it better not to over script and keep it brief while others find it easier to put into as much detail as possible.

yes. if you ask yourself, whatever it may be, then yes. yes you can. you can script a specific event happening, you can script being on another planet, you can script that you have a sibling, you can script a reality where shifting is common. no matter how absurd it seems to this specific reality, it can be scripted to be possible in another reality. the laws of physics in this reality only hold up in this reality and only this reality.

yes you can. however, it may only be a future event in the reality that you shift to so be aware of that.
: ̗̀➛ do i need to remember everything that i script?
no, you don't. memorize what you can and briefly skim through your script if it will help, but you don't remember, your subconscious will know and fill in everything else for you. it'll still know where to go.
: ̗̀➛ is it morally wrong to script a partner or someone falling in love with me?
no because you will be shifting to a reality in which you are dating them or they are in love with you. you are not controlling someone to fall in love with you. it would have come naturally before you shifted, you just weren't aware of it before.
to add to this, it's not morally wrong to script other things like something more brought up, race, gender, or age. you already exist in that reality as said race, gender, and age. yes, it is questionable if you say shift to be a specific race for the sole purpose of doing something inappropriate for that.

no. for some, i did, and others i did not. again, you don't even need to script in the first place. it just makes it easier to figure things out more.

as i said earlier, you are not making a new reality when you script. that reality already exists. you are just adding all of the exact details of that reality so you can shift easier. scripting is all about going to the reality that you want to go to. if it feels impossible or a struggle to grasp then that's okay. no need to try and understand every single intricate detail about shifting.
you only need to understand the basics. that being that shifting is you shifting your awareness. and also that in order to do that, you need to focus on your desired reality.

: ̗̀➛ keep it simple and brief. don't make it fanfiction length. you might as well be writing a fanfiction instead of scripting if you write exactly how you are greeted and what seat you sit down in. it can also be distracting if you can't visualize exactly each thing that you script to a 't.' it can also then become overwhelming for you too.
: ̗̀➛ not scripting something doesn't mean that it won't happen. for example, you don't need to script that you breathe oxygen or have gravity in your reality in order to shift to that reality. it's just a given and your subconscious will be aware of it and shift to that place for you in which it has oxygen or gravity.
: ̗̀➛ do not over stress about the scripting process. it is not as important as the shifting itself. learn to find peace within yourself to shift.
: ̗̀➛ if you don't know what exactly to script, look at templates online or view other people's scripts. you will find a common pattern in what people choose to script. many people script stuff such as not getting hurt, not dying, not being able to snap out of shifting just like that, being able to ground yourself easily when you shift, perfect skin, good grades, better focus, nice and loving family, and more of that sort.
: ̗̀➛ don't treat scripting as a fanfiction. treat it just like reality and you writing down your aspirations. or writing about yourself and your life. like a diary of sorts.

Note: I'm a straight CIS male, and I'm writing this from my perspective.
So let me get this straight. You have millions of lonely guys. A realistic female voice that can sound flirty. And an AI company that restricts the explicitness/intimacy of that AI voice functionality.
Essentially you'll have a ton of guys getting friend-zoned by these AIs because they will be happy to talk to you, support you, and do all the friendly things you want, but no sexy talk. In the movie Her she does eventually get sexual/romantic with the lead character. Imagine if the script was different and she didn't.
Right now the voice feature is generic and non-expressive enough to be considered unlovable (but I bet even now some have tried). With the new, flirty, supportive, responsive, AVAILABLE female voice I don't see how a ton of lonely guys won't develop feelings... and just like being friend-zoned in real life, it's just going to lead to frustration.
Maybe you think it's fine for a guy to be friends with someone he wants to date and be with but can't (and won't, this isn't The Big Bang Theory or something). Maybe you like the idea of lonely men suffering, I don't know.
It's just something I'm curious about. An AI that will make guys fall for her, but then is unable to go further than friendship and appropriate talk. Don't bother bringing up Replica or whatever because all other voice options are crap compared to the demo of the new voice chat from Open AI.
