This is a long post that should have a predecessor story before, so I apologize if it’s confusing but this is the issue I’m looking for advice on. This is also a throw away as I hope and pray no one recognizes the situation.
I (24f) have been with my “fiance”(24m) for almost 6yrs now. I won’t lie, we have had our fair amount of issues. I’m pretty insecure because he had cheated on me in the past, and I’ve had to get on him about virtually flirting with other females (we moved out of state and he feels pretty isolated and says he just wants attention). We have a 4yr child and I’m pregnant with our 2nd now, we’ve always talked about having kids, getting married, etc. when we lived in the state we met, everything seemed fine (besides the cheating) but after we moved he seemed to have turn into a whole new person.
Anyways, fast forward past all of our bumps, challenges, and good times - to 2 years ago. He proposed to me and I said yes, it was great. We were on a trip when this happened, and he started drinking a lot. I never saw him be an angry drunk, but he was drinking so much everyday and he began to get angry while drunk every night. He confided some very personal matters and feelings to me, and I empathized with him and comforted him. It brought us much closer and I never judged him. Later on, he would agree he felt much closer but then other times he would express that he regrets telling me. One of the things he mentioned during this time was wanting a 3rd partner in our relationship. A she-male he said exactly. This conversation was 2 years ago and I was drinking as well (not as drunk as him) but I don’t remember everything the best, but he knows I’m not really fond of that idea. I get jealous pretty easily, especially after what he did and certain things that he sometimes says (when he gets mad he’ll say he doesn’t want to be around me, calls me names/other mean things, says I don’t get sexy or try to be seductive). Mind you, we have a child who I take care of primarily and I get off work later than him. He goes to the gym after work or does whatever he wants like video games, tv, relax - while I do child care, cook or clean. He’ll help cook sometimes, but NEVER does dishes or laundry. He even said laundry is my responsibility (he tried to imply it’s because I’m a woman but without saying that), because he works on our vehicles (ONLY when there is an issue with them, and that’s maybe 1-2 times a year and I always help him in any way I can!) He’s the type that’s so lazy and constantly asking me to get up and get him stuff right after I sit down (I always do) but the few times I try to ask him to get something for me, it’s a problem or inconvenience. Anyways, when you don’t have a moment to sit down and breathe/relax for your own self until 9-9:30pm, after working a full time job & then family crap on your own basically, of course you’re gonna be tired and not feel like trying to be sexy for someone.
Sorry for the long side rant, back to the main issue.
He expressed wanting a 3rd, specifically, someone who is trans or a “she-male”. This was related to the information he confided into me, and like I said - I empathized with him because he’s been living with this secret for a long time. His family can be close minded with things like this. I personally, wouldn’t mind have a female-on-female type experience, but the situation he wants is not something that’s necessarily piquing my interest. I feel like I can probably get down in an experimentation, although the thought of another penis does not interest me, but nothing long term.

Anyways, This was a female he was trying to see when he went back to our home state for a little while. We were going through a rough patch and he moved out but we remained in constant contact and were still communicating saying we missed each other. I thought we were actively working on stuff with some space but he says he left me. Anyways, he left his Apple Watch at our house so I read his messages with that girl while he was back home. Mind you, a week or so after he moved out - he tried to fuck a random girl from our hometown who is not even cute or worth it at all. He apologized for being a piece of shit and said he would cut contact with her when I called him out. He may have cried too but don’t remember, he’ll cry when he gets caught/called out sometimes.
Anyways, when I caught him talking to her again, after he had moved back in and everything seemed to be going better, he really didn’t have any excuse other than the missing who he used to be and craving attention and he was saying he just loves people, money and sex and brought up the wanting a 3rd partner. This time he brought it up like, it has to happen and he’s done “putting his feelings aside for everyone else”. Idk what he’s talking about other than suppressing these feelings because I do everything for him and bend over backwards and constantly put my emotions aside since his are so explosive and volatile. His family sees it too and feels bad, but never want to step in (they just talk to me afterwards and apologize and call me strong). He said he wants to do it with me, but if I can’t he’ll have to do it alone. I ask what he means, and if we would be broken up and he says he doesn’t want that or think it’s necessary, but he also expressed how it would basically be cheating to go out and do it without me.
Again, I tried to empathize, because he says he doesn’t know if he’s gay, bi, etc or what to call it, but he really wants a feminine she male and that he’s fine and open to whatever (penis, post penis-removal surgery, even naturally born female). I was supportive, while still expressing discomfort because I’ve always pictured our family to be just US TWO, until he said the post-surgery or natural vagina thing. To me, that is not exploring (a word he used) because he’s had sex with plenty of females and that would automatically make me feel like it’s a competition and I’m not enough. I get wanting to feel a penis since that I something I can’t provide, but 2 vaginas?? Am I crazy for being less understanding/supportive of that?
It’s not even the physical aspect or it being public that really bother me (they do slightly, but not as much as the emotional aspect) 1. I feel like I’ll look weak suddenly allowing a 3rd who is clearly there to sexually please my man more than me. 2. I’m worried he’l treat them better than me, we have pretty bad communication and he has severe anger issues. I cannot imagine him getting mad at the new person for asking questions, not hearing him, bringing a fork when he wanted a spoon, etc. before we moved out of state he never got mad at me. But after we moved he just acts like everything I do is targeted against him when in reality, I’m slowly killing myself to try and make this man happy.
He tried to reassure me and answer questions for how nice it would be. Me and him would work while they take care of the kids ( I don’t want my kids looking at this 3rd person as a parent or thinking a 3 way relationship is normal and standard. I also, don’t want to fucking work, and what makes him think they would want to take care of our kids?) He’s gotten mad at me for walking in on him before, I suggested he may get upset if I walk in on him and the new person doing it( I also expressed fear of him developing a preference and me feeling left out) he said I would just join if I wanted to. I then expressed fear of him getting closer to them on an emotional level, bc of our arguments he says he hates talking to me and stuff. I can barely get a word in normally because he’s yelling and says whatever I’m saying is stupid or doesn’t make sense. He then said we would all 3 talk about things tgether.
When I brought up how we should resolve our issues with each other before bringing a 3rd in, he seemed annoyed and said sure. When I pressed and tried to see if he agreed or how he really felt, he just said it seems like a personal problem (me feeling that way). This really upset me because it’s not a personal problem and I feel like all my concerns are valid. He apologized for feeling how he does because he knows it’s a shock to me and not what we planned to do when talking about building our lives together. Mind you, I’m 20 weeks pregnant with our 2nd kid as he tells me all this and basically it’s now. Or never, but not actually never because he will do it. He asked if I have a solution , but there is none. We did a 3some months ago but it was kinda weird and we never finished our talk about it. I am not the biggest fan seeing my partner fuck or lust over someone else. He was kinda upset I didn’t have a solution and when I asked if we need to split up he said I was giving him an ultimatum but I feel like he’s doing that to me. We are about to turn 25 and have 2 kids and all of this feels like it came out of nowhere, I know he will resent me if he cannot have this. He says he just wants to be his old self again (which is apparently flirty, promiscuous, and not monogamous). When he gets too drunk/high he literally flirts with other women in front of me and has even mentioned a 3some about a woman who just left the room to his friends in front of me. Then got mad when I got mad and made me feel like I was kink shaming him.
Edit: our sex live is overall pretty good, I’ve had sex with other men before him but he was the first and only man to make me “complete”. He is a little more experienced and adventurous than me, but I have tried and done everything he’s ever wanted to do in bedroom. I’m still shy sexually at times and there’s some things I’m not the biggest fan of or never suggest because it hurts and that upsets him sometimes , but I still always do whatever he wants when he asks unless I don’t feel good.
He has expressed anger and that our sex life is boring at times, and it can get repetitive and it can, but like I said - I AM SO TIRED AND EXHAUSTED. But there are also plenty of times we’re it is AMAZING for both of us and we both just know each others bodies very well.
So AITA for not wanting a 3rd partner and for leaning towards us splitting up amicably so he can pursue this?
Edit: I was depressed and cried for days when he just brought this up again this last time. I’m very emotional with the pregnancy but I still feel like I’m losing my best friend and the love of my life. Despite our issues, I’ve always had hope we would get back on our connection level of getting along that we used to have. Obviously it would be ideal for me if he NEVER HAD these feelings and urges but I feel like an asshole if I’m not supportive since it was kind of a closeted issue.

Not sure if this is the right subreddit to post in but thought I'd give it a try. My dad was extremely physically and emotionally abusive to myself (F21), my brother, my baby sister, and my mom, and used religion as a reason for his abuse. He was a violent alcoholic who died of liver failure when I was 11. A few years after his death, my mother remarried to a really nice guy (tho tbh I will always feel a distance bc I cannot connect with men lol), and we have a 'new family' now (stepdad has a daughter who I am very close with) but I can't shake the feeling of resentment. My mom is a very traumatized woman. She was younger than me when she got with my dad so I do have sympathy, but I tried to take my life twice in the past year because everything is coming back – everything he did to us, my mother taking off with us in the middle of the night only for my dad to find us in a motel room and pistol whip my mom so we'd go back with him, the fact my brother became a drug addict who only recently got out of prison, all of it. It's really hard not to blame her. She also still vouches that my dad was a good guy who just let the alcohol take over. He wasn't. He was a 25 year old man who groomed a teenager, got her pregnant, and abused her.
I apologize for the rambling, but it's tough to process this. Anyone experience anything similar? A new kind of calamity has hit the muslim world especially those living in non-Muslim lands.
Our muslim girls are marrying non-Muslim men and nobody seems to care!
This is happening left and right...in families that are practicing muslims and in families that are not so practicing.
Is that really allowed?
What does Islaam say about that?
Let's take a look.
🍃Allaah says:
وَلَا تُنكِحُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ حَتَّى يُؤْمِنُوا
"And give not (your daughters) in marriage to Al-Mushrikoon till they believe (in Allaah Alone)" (Surah al-Baqarah :221)
Here Allaah is telling us directly...clear and straight.
"Do not give your daughters to non Muslim men."
Simple as that. The Order couldn't be more straightforward or clearer.
🍃In the tafseer of this aayah, at-Tabari said:
"What Allaah, Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala means in this verse is that He has forbidden believing women to marry a mushrik (polytheist) of any type. So do not, O Muslim men, give them (Muslim women) in marriage to them (mushrikeen), for that is forbidden to you."
(Tafseer at-Tabari, 4/370)
🍃And Al-Qurtubi said:
"And give not (your daughters) in marriage to Al-Mushrikoon" means do not give a Muslim woman in marriage to a mushrik. The ummah is unanimously agreed that a mushrik should not marry a believing woman under any circumstances, because that undermines Islam." (Tafseer al-Qurtubi (3/72)
🍃Al-Baghawi said:
"And give not (your daughters) in marriage to Al-Mushrikoon till they believe (in Allah Alone)" - there is consensus on this point: it is not permissible for a Muslim woman to marry a mushrik man."
🍃In another aayah, Allaah says:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا جَاءَكُمُ الْمُؤْمِنَاتُ مُهَاجِرَاتٍ فَامْتَحِنُوهُنَّ اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِإِيمَانِهِنَّ فَإِنْ عَلِمْتُمُوهُنَّ مُؤْمِنَاتٍ فَلَا تَرْجِعُوهُنَّ إِلَى الْكُفَّارِ لَا هُنَّ حِلٌّ لَّهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحِلُّونَ لَهُنَّ وَآتُوهُم مَّا أَنفَقُوا
"O you who believe! When believing women come to you as emigrants, examine them, Allaah knows best as to their Faith. Then if you ascertain that they are true believers, send them not back to the disbelievers, they are not lawful (wives) for the disbelievers nor are the disbelievers lawful (husbands) for them." (Surah al-Mumtahinah :10)
Here Allaah is directly addressing us as believers.
"O you who believe..."
Isn't that you and me?
Yes, it is.
WE claim to believe.
So pay attention.
Our Rabb is calling out to you and me and telling us straight up that disbelieving men are NOT LAWFUL for believing women.
🍃Regarding this aayah, Ibn Katheer said:
"Allaah says: "they are not lawful (wives) for the disbelievers nor are the disbelievers lawful (husbands) for them". This verse is the one which prohibited Muslim women to mushrik men."
(Tafseer al-Qur'an al-'Azeem, 13/521)
It's as simple as that. No ifs and buts about it.
🔴 Such a marriage is NOT valid!
That's because one of the conditions of a valid Islaamic marriage is that the man should be Muslim.
If a muslim woman marries a non-Muslim man, this marriage is NOT A marriage in the eyes of the Shari'ah.
This woman is making a grave error and is guilty of committing zina!
May Allaah protect us.
🍃Statement of the Islamic Fiqh Council regarding this matter:

As Muslims we believe Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aalaa is al-Hakeem, al-'Aleem, the Most-Wise, the Most-Knowledgable.
There is a reason for everything He does. And He knows better.
Allaah has allowed the Muslim man to marry a woman who's a Christian or a Jew and NOT ALLOWED a Muslim woman to marry a nom-Muslim man because of several reasons:
A) The man is in a position of leadership over the woman, and it is not allowed for a non-Muslim to be in a position of leadership over a Muslim woman.
🍃The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said:
"Islam prevails and is not prevailed over." (al-Daaraqutni and others -hasan by al-Albaani)
B) Allaah tells us in the Qur'aan that men are 'qawwaam' over their wives, meaning they're in charge.
The husband is the leader or head of the household and his status within the family is higher than that of his wife.
Because of this higher position, if a muslim woman were to marry a non-Muslim man, the husband would influence his wife in a negative way and make her leave her Deen or at least be very lax about it.
He would not be helping her to obey Allaah and in fact he would be an impediment in doing that. And would be an obstruction between her and Jannah.
C) The higher status of the husband will also influence the children to follow their father's religion, which would be nothing short of a DISASTER for the family, if these children grow up to be non-Muslim.
🛑Conclusion
Faith is not just words, my sister, unless it's accompanied by ACTIONS.
If Allaah has prohibited Muslim women from marrying non-Muslim men, even if they're from the People of the Book, then we have to submit to that order and accept it without any qualms about it.
Allaah's Guidance is the best guidance and His Way is the best way.

A new kind of calamity has hit the muslim world especially those living in non-Muslim lands.
Our muslim girls are marrying non-Muslim men and nobody seems to care!
This is happening left and right...in families that are practicing muslims and in families that are not so practicing.
Is that really allowed?
What does Islaam say about that?
Let's take a look.
🍃Allaah says:
وَلَا تُنكِحُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ حَتَّى يُؤْمِنُوا
"And give not (your daughters) in marriage to Al-Mushrikoon till they believe (in Allaah Alone)" (Surah al-Baqarah :221)
Here Allaah is telling us directly...clear and straight.
"Do not give your daughters to non Muslim men."
Simple as that. The Order couldn't be more straightforward or clearer.
🍃In the tafseer of this aayah, at-Tabari said:
"What Allaah, Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala means in this verse is that He has forbidden believing women to marry a mushrik (polytheist) of any type. So do not, O Muslim men, give them (Muslim women) in marriage to them (mushrikeen), for that is forbidden to you."

🍃And Al-Qurtubi said:
"And give not (your daughters) in marriage to Al-Mushrikoon" means do not give a Muslim woman in marriage to a mushrik. The ummah is unanimously agreed that a mushrik should not marry a believing woman under any circumstances, because that undermines Islam." (Tafseer al-Qurtubi (3/72)
🍃Al-Baghawi said:
"And give not (your daughters) in marriage to Al-Mushrikoon till they believe (in Allah Alone)" - there is consensus on this point: it is not permissible for a Muslim woman to marry a mushrik man."
🍃In another aayah, Allaah says:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا جَاءَكُمُ الْمُؤْمِنَاتُ مُهَاجِرَاتٍ فَامْتَحِنُوهُنَّ اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِإِيمَانِهِنَّ فَإِنْ عَلِمْتُمُوهُنَّ مُؤْمِنَاتٍ فَلَا تَرْجِعُوهُنَّ إِلَى الْكُفَّارِ لَا هُنَّ حِلٌّ لَّهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحِلُّونَ لَهُنَّ وَآتُوهُم مَّا أَنفَقُوا
"O you who believe! When believing women come to you as emigrants, examine them, Allaah knows best as to their Faith. Then if you ascertain that they are true believers, send them not back to the disbelievers, they are not lawful (wives) for the disbelievers nor are the disbelievers lawful (husbands) for them." (Surah al-Mumtahinah :10)
Here Allaah is directly addressing us as believers.
"O you who believe..."
Isn't that you and me?
Yes, it is.
WE claim to believe.
So pay attention.
Our Rabb is calling out to you and me and telling us straight up that disbelieving men are NOT LAWFUL for believing women.
🍃Regarding this aayah, Ibn Katheer said:
"Allaah says: "they are not lawful (wives) for the disbelievers nor are the disbelievers lawful (husbands) for them". This verse is the one which prohibited Muslim women to mushrik men."
(Tafseer al-Qur'an al-'Azeem, 13/521)
It's as simple as that. No ifs and buts about it.
🔴 Such a marriage is NOT valid!
That's because one of the conditions of a valid Islaamic marriage is that the man should be Muslim.
If a muslim woman marries a non-Muslim man, this marriage is NOT A marriage in the eyes of the Shari'ah.

So I was getting so frustrated with the terrible writing and these terrible new movies that were coming out that either the movie came out badly due to allowing politics to control what was written in the script or changing characters to make it more of a woke movie or just terrible script writing so I finally my frustration boiled over.
The only show or TV show or movie I watched was echo that was only Marvel one. I watched the whole thing of when I really liked Echo but I think I like her Hawkeye TV show and then then the other one was Madame Webb, but that wasn’t on marvel I don’t know who that I think that was , but I like that one other than that hated every superhero movie TV show that came out Disney is imploding because they’re politics so much to the point where they’re losing actors and actresses who just don’t agree with what they’re doing. I occasionally watch new movies like I just watched the new mad Max movie fa thinking. For the most part I am now watching movies that are anywhere from like eight till like 20 years old. And I am so glad that I am rewatch these movies every time. I’m like this what Hollywood is missing today scripts that are written like this scripts. Don’t give up halfway through the movie movies that are caring about politics. A new kind of calamity has hit the muslim world especially those living in non-Muslim lands.
Our muslim girls are marrying non-Muslim men and nobody seems to care!
This is happening left and right...in families that are practicing muslims and in families that are not so practicing.
Is that really allowed?
What does Islaam say about that?
Let's take a look.
🍃Allaah says:
وَلَا تُنكِحُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ حَتَّى يُؤْمِنُوا
"And give not (your daughters) in marriage to Al-Mushrikoon till they believe (in Allaah Alone)" (Surah al-Baqarah :221)
Here Allaah is telling us directly...clear and straight.
"Do not give your daughters to non Muslim men."
Simple as that. The Order couldn't be more straightforward or clearer.
🍃In the tafseer of this aayah, at-Tabari said:
"What Allaah, Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala means in this verse is that He has forbidden believing women to marry a mushrik (polytheist) of any type. So do not, O Muslim men, give them (Muslim women) in marriage to them (mushrikeen), for that is forbidden to you."
(Tafseer at-Tabari, 4/370)
🍃And Al-Qurtubi said:
"And give not (your daughters) in marriage to Al-Mushrikoon" means do not give a Muslim woman in marriage to a mushrik. The ummah is unanimously agreed that a mushrik should not marry a believing woman under any circumstances, because that undermines Islam." (Tafseer al-Qurtubi (3/72)
🍃Al-Baghawi said:
"And give not (your daughters) in marriage to Al-Mushrikoon till they believe (in Allah Alone)" - there is consensus on this point: it is not permissible for a Muslim woman to marry a mushrik man."
🍃In another aayah, Allaah says:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا جَاءَكُمُ الْمُؤْمِنَاتُ مُهَاجِرَاتٍ فَامْتَحِنُوهُنَّ اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِإِيمَانِهِنَّ فَإِنْ عَلِمْتُمُوهُنَّ مُؤْمِنَاتٍ فَلَا تَرْجِعُوهُنَّ إِلَى الْكُفَّارِ لَا هُنَّ حِلٌّ لَّهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحِلُّونَ لَهُنَّ وَآتُوهُم مَّا أَنفَقُوا
"O you who believe! When believing women come to you as emigrants, examine them, Allaah knows best as to their Faith. Then if you ascertain that they are true believers, send them not back to the disbelievers, they are not lawful (wives) for the disbelievers nor are the disbelievers lawful (husbands) for them." (Surah al-Mumtahinah :10)
Here Allaah is directly addressing us as believers.
"O you who believe..."
Isn't that you and me?
Yes, it is.
WE claim to believe.
So pay attention.
Our Rabb is calling out to you and me and telling us straight up that disbelieving men are NOT LAWFUL for believing women.
🍃Regarding this aayah, Ibn Katheer said:
"Allaah says: "they are not lawful (wives) for the disbelievers nor are the disbelievers lawful (husbands) for them". This verse is the one which prohibited Muslim women to mushrik men."
(Tafseer al-Qur'an al-'Azeem, 13/521)
It's as simple as that. No ifs and buts about it.
🔴 Such a marriage is NOT valid!
That's because one of the conditions of a valid Islaamic marriage is that the man should be Muslim.
If a muslim woman marries a non-Muslim man, this marriage is NOT A marriage in the eyes of the Shari'ah.
This woman is making a grave error and is guilty of committing zina!

🍃Statement of the Islamic Fiqh Council regarding this matter:
"Marriage of a kaafir to a Muslim woman is haraam and is not permissible, according to scholarly consensus, and there is no doubt about that because of what is stated in the shar'i texts." (Fataawa Islamiyyah (3/231)
🍃Just look at the rulings on such a woman!
"If a Muslim woman marries a non-Muslim man, knowing the ruling thereon, then she is a zaaniyah and is subject to the hadd punishment for zina.(Ya Allaah!!!)
If she was unaware of the ruling, then she is excused, but they must be separated, with no need for talaaq (divorce), because the marriage is invalid in the first place."

NO we should not be going to such a wedding that's not valid in the sight of Allaah.
If we take part in something that's haraam, then we're indirectly condoning that haraam.
In fact this is cooperating in sin and transgression, which itself is a sin.
🍃 Allaah says:
"And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression" (Surah al-Maa'idah :2)
🛑 What should I do?
Part of our being a Muslim is to enjoin the good and forbid the evil.
So here's what we can do depending on the situation.
"Whoever among you sees an evil action, let him change it with his hand [by taking action]; if he cannot, then with his tongue [by speaking out]; and if he cannot, then with his heart [by at least hating it and believing that it is wrong], and that is the weakest of faith." (Muslim)

Many sisters 'think' they 'love' the non-Muslim man and they can't live without them.

🛑 But then, why are Muslim MEN allowed to marry a woman of the People of the Book?
First of all, when Allaah and His Messenger have ordered us something there's no arguing about it or any other way around it.
We have to listen and obey.
🍃Allaah says:
"It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allaah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allaah and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed in a plain error" (Surah al-Ahzaab :36)
So if we are believers, we obey.
That's what BELIEVERS do.
....even if they don't understand it.
Just obey.
No questions asked.
THAT is true submission to Allaah.
THAT is Islaam.
🍃 Allaah says:
"The only saying of the faithful believers, when they are called to Allaah (His Words, His Orders) and His Messenger to judge between them, is that they say: 'We hear and we obey.' And such are the prosperous ones (who will live forever in Paradise).
And whosoever obeys Allaah and His Messenger, fears Allaah, and keeps his duty (to Him), such are the successful ones"
(Surah an-Noor :51-52)
Even if there were no other reasons, and no other explanations except this one, that would be ENOUGH for us as Muslims to obey Allaah's Command.
But for those who want further explanation:
As Muslims we believe Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aalaa is al-Hakeem, al-'Aleem, the Most-Wise, the Most-Knowledgable.
There is a reason for everything He does. And He knows better.
Allaah has allowed the Muslim man to marry a woman who's a Christian or a Jew and NOT ALLOWED a Muslim woman to marry a nom-Muslim man because of several reasons:
A) The man is in a position of leadership over the woman, and it is not allowed for a non-Muslim to be in a position of leadership over a Muslim woman.
🍃The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said:
"Islam prevails and is not prevailed over." (al-Daaraqutni and others -hasan by al-Albaani)
B) Allaah tells us in the Qur'aan that men are 'qawwaam' over their wives, meaning they're in charge.
The husband is the leader or head of the household and his status within the family is higher than that of his wife.
Because of this higher position, if a muslim woman were to marry a non-Muslim man, the husband would influence his wife in a negative way and make her leave her Deen or at least be very lax about it.
He would not be helping her to obey Allaah and in fact he would be an impediment in doing that. And would be an obstruction between her and Jannah.
C) The higher status of the husband will also influence the children to follow their father's religion, which would be nothing short of a DISASTER for the family, if these children grow up to be non-Muslim.
🛑Conclusion
Faith is not just words, my sister, unless it's accompanied by ACTIONS.
If Allaah has prohibited Muslim women from marrying non-Muslim men, even if they're from the People of the Book, then we have to submit to that order and accept it without any qualms about it.
Allaah's Guidance is the best guidance and His Way is the best way.

I moved to a new city recently, so I am technically not traveling. But I have only been to touristy areas and met mostly other travelers and expats.
I usually don’t have a problem meeting people and making friends when I travel, both men and women.
Now, for whatever reason I can only make male friends (many of them a bit older than me too) and some of them say certain things to me that question me their intentions but I try not to think about it because I am new to this place and I need friends.
The female travelers and expats/immigrant I met here are all nice and friendly but most of them seem not too interested in talking to me. I never had this problem before so I don’t know why. On the other hand, men put more effort to keep in touch with me. It’s a lot easier to talk to them, but I feel a bit uncomfortable because sometimes I can’t help but think it’s more like a date.
What should I do to make more female friends? Yeah I am going to meetup and social events but it’s not easy making friends with girls there. They are polite and we chat, but that’s it. They have other plans after this and have to go, talk to other people and then leave, etc.

Strange way to end the night. We think my little sister (13f) stole our mom’s phone. Why do we think this? Because she’s a little thief, that’s why. But if this is true then it’s her own fault. My mom has like 3 phones, her new one which is her main one and old two phones. Anywho, they’re all in sync so when she gets a call all 3 of the phones ring. Apparently, she left one of the phones on her bed and when she left the room it was gone. She tried calling it, her other two phones rang but not the other one. She walked around the house in hopes of hearing it but nothing. She even came in my room and asked me if I had it. I didn’t. She pinged all her phones and went on the Find my app and it said that the phone was still in the house. This means that whoever took the phone had shut it off which is the reason it didn’t ring. My mom never has any of her phones off. Back to the part of my is her being a thief. She is, I don’t care if my family doesn’t like me calling her that, she is. Back in elementary school when slime was popular she stole this girl’s slime even though she had her own and lied about it. My grandmother found out and made her give it back to the girl. Another time, maybe about 3-4 years ago we all had this app called “Greenlight” it’s basically cashapp for kids but the parent could see everyone’s wallet and give money. This girl took my grandmother’s phone and cleared my saving’s account. I had about $25 I didn’t touch. When I went on there I saw my money way gone. Keep in mind, you can see everyone’s account history like when money was put in and out. I check my history it says my grandma took money out of my account. But she was sleeping and this had just happened. So I check my grandmas account and find that she had taken money out of my account. Then it says she took (insert amount of money taken out of my account) and placed it in my sister’s account. I check to see if I get it back….the money was gone. I check her history….this girl just ordered a phone charger off door dash. :/ I remeber when I told my grandma she had a talk with my sister and that’s it. She told her not to do it again and got me back my money. Basically letting her off. She’s too nice for her own good. Another time I was laying in bed, I had my phone under my pillowcase on the charger. I hear my door open and my sister starts calling my name. I didn’t respond and pretended to be asleep. Keep in mind, my water is under my pillow too. This girl starts slowing sliding her hand under my pillow and grabs my wallet. I sprung up so fast and asked her what she thought she was doing and she said she need (insert the over $20+ amount she asked for) and I told her “no.” She had already gotten her own allowance and chose to spend it poorly. She stormed off. Then another time, she had stolen $20 from my grandmother using this same app and keep in mind we can see the history. It says that our grandma sent her $20. She didn’t. She tried to lie and say she didn’t know how it got there. She just got a gentle talk and my grandma sent myself and my other sister $20 each since our little sister got to get $20. Much like the current situation I remember one day a couple years ago I was cleaning my room. I had just made my bed. My bedding was all black so my white AirPods case is obviously visible. It was on the charger on my bed. I leave the room come back it’s gone. That whole day I’m stressed out I can’t find them. I get on some kind of search app and this app made it to where the closer you were to the missing device the louder it started beeping and pointing a compass. Every time I got close to her room it got more intense and further away it died down. Okay, so I know it’s in her room and I confront her, her room is a hot mess impossible to find anything. I show her the evidence and tell her I know it’s here but she denies. I end up finding another set of AirPods which belonged to my mother (yes she also stole our mothers AirPods and our mother had been looking for them for weeks) and they were working just fine she why’d she take mine? Sorry, I’m fuming just writing this out. Anyway, she did what she always does after a while, she somehow snuck into my room and planted them in one of the shoes I wear everyday like they were there the whole time. :/ she’s also planted our other sisters phone in a clothing basket once. Anyway, this girl stays stealing. She’s always stealing our clothes and our stuff and our moms stuff and peoples money. One day mom got on the phone with her dad and told him to come get his thieving child and put my sister on the phone and yall guess what she told her dad. :/ She told this man that everything she had belonged to her and that she couldn’t never have nothing because everyone was always stealing her things so she didn’t have anything….girl….oh ya guys I didn’t mention that she’s a compulsive liar? Ugh and it just makes me mad how she gets chance after chance but when I have a break down I get threats and she doesn’t. It doesn’t matter how many whoopings or how many times she gets her phone taken this girl just won’t stop. She’s awful. Too young to be this awful. I fear this results from her never being held accountable for her actions growing up and always getting her way. Sorry, I just had to say something.

I have come to realize that I (25F) am most likely Autistic & don't particularly want to go down the path of a formal diagnosis. (There are several reasons with the main one being medical trauma that makes seeing new providers and seeking out diagnoses triggering & I just am not in the place to do that at this point.) I reached a bit of a breaking point in grad school (just graduated thankfully) with burnout & after realizing that this was what it was & not a bad depressive episode, I was sort of forced to begin unmasking. I moved back in with my parents during my clinical year & have started to experience some friction and push back about the things that I have found work for me in terms of accommodating my life/space/personal organization. I have found that when I communicate things about myself or my experience to my family directly, it isn't well received. I have found that sharing things I relate to from sources that aren't me myself get the message across better. My question is this: does anyone have any good resources that can help explain the experience of living with autism as an adult to a loved one? I've looked online, social media, etc. but can really only find stuff applicable to either children or people (men) that present more typically. I am highly masking and the struggles I have had for the majority of my life have been totally invisible, so it's been hard trying to explain myself and having them not be able to separate their perceptions from my actual self. I think it helps to have them see that I am not making things up and that there are actually other people experiencing exactly what I'm describing, which they otherwise see as "excuses" or "getting out of things" when they can't see the actual inner torture of things in my daily life.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post, I appreciate your opinions. Things have been going well dating my gf of 4 months. We took things slow to really get to know each other before making things official. Since things were progressing well, we discussed our families and relatives and how we wanted to introduce each other to our families. During this discussion, I learnt my gf’s stepfather has a criminal history. I would be lying if I said it did not create feelings of doubt and unease within me to continue to relationship.

My gf said her stepfather is a changed man with regret for his past. Her stepfather got his degree in prison, reflected on his past, and swore to never repeat his mistakes. He worked hard to change himself and when he got out, he built a business and new life for himself. When he got out, he had a daughter to whom my gf says he has tried to be the best dad for. After moving in with my gf's mother, he saw his daughter less until his daughter cut contact with him after age 18. It devastated him and forced him to look inwards and become a better man again. My gf says because of this, her stepfather considers her his child and really dots on her and their mother.
My gf said they initially hated her stepfather because of his past and warned her mother against dating him. Over time, she saw how well her stepfather treated her mother and began to accept him into their lives. She says her stepfather is one of the kindest men she has ever met. Extremely conflict adverse to the point the mother wears the pants. My gf says if I give him a chance, I will come to like him like she does. idk
I feel unease with the fact. I asked her why her stepfather never removed the tattoo after coming out of prison if it was a means for survival unless he believes in it too. She said the tattoo was a part of his life in prison, a reminder of the mistakes he has made. I asked if he still does drugs and she said he has been sober for years.
My internal conflict is two factors
1) I am a person of color and I do not think my family will accept me dating someone with immediate family who was racist and a past murderer even if he is a changed man
2) my gf has been great so far, and this man’s history is independent from her. She wasn’t even raised by him, so I feel its unfair to see my gf in a negative light for something they did not do. However, I think this is a major consideration for a future relationship even if she is at no fault
I do not know what to do or even how to approach the situation. My gf has never done anything to break my trust or make me see her in a negative light and this situation is so far out of their control I cannot blame them. However, I am unease with things going forward given my family is not white and a little part of me fear for my own and their safety

Hi I’m a rape survivor and I also have been very keyed into the world of sexual assault and trafficking (it’s related to my fields of work), so I’m very aware of the signs, but I also have my own trauma and tend to be suspicious and cynical. I really need advice about how to approach a situation with my friend’s daughter (whom I’ve never met and have no connection or line of communication with).
So my friend and I aren’t super duper close but friendly and really appreciate each other and have open honest dialogue about all kinds of things. We’ve known each other for the past few years, and she lives in a city that I visit for a few months a year (I’m a nomad). She has a 14 year old daughter who is a totally reclusive, depressed, and angry young woman and no one really knows why 🚨 Her mom attributes it to her “feeling rejected by the world” or something, but I just don’t think that kind of experience warrants the severity of her situation. I was bullied and rejected a lot, too, and I know a lot about trauma responses and things just aren’t adding up. It sounds like an excuse, and my friend just accepts it.
My understanding is that she may have had those tendencies before the family moved to the new city, but she was fine for while and then it all came back. Now she never leaves her room 🚨 and doesn’t like talking to anyone, except my friend’s partner (not her dad) who she has a “special relationship” with 🚨
My friend had an on-again, off-again relationship with her partner but now it’s steady. The girl was happy for a bit when she, her mom, and her sister first moved to the new city and then everything changed, and I suspect it coincided with when the man came to live with them. He had also known my friend and her daughters before the move. I don’t know the exact timeline. I could be wrong!
I tried to bring it up with my friend last summer but I don’t think she followed up with her daughter. I told her that all the signs of CSA are there and that she needs to ask her daughter if anyone, anyone has ever touched her in a way she didn’t want (including family) and I told my friend to let her daughter know that she would be believed and protected.
I don’t think my friend ever did that (maybe she did and never told me), but I can’t help but be afraid that my friend would be more protective of her relationship with her partner than her daughter. She tends to center men in her life. I’ve never met her partner and I don’t ask about him or their relationship. I don’t really want to know the details of their relationship because I get major ick vibes from what little I know and I’m afraid I couldn’t respect my friend if I knew, and anyway their relationship is none of my business. So I stay out of it.
But I still worry so much about her daughter. Maybe I’m projecting. Maybe I’m totally wrong. It’s just a suspicion, but I generally don’t trust men, especially not with beautiful young teenagers they have total authority over and no consequences. Maybe I’m biased. Maybe I’m jaded. I feel like those are the things my friend would say about me if I ever suggested that her partner might not be the kind of man she sees him as. The girl is so isolated and if what I’m afraid of is true and he is able to continue hurting her for years and no one ever looked out for her, I’m afraid her life could be irreversibly ruined.
So I only have a vague hunch and I’d be risking my friendship, but if I’m right, and I did nothing, I would never forgive myself. I’m neurodivergent with a history of c-PTSD and always struggled to make and keep friends (mostly because of bullying and ostracization, because I’m generally friendly, sincere, and kind, not because of a personality disorder or bad character), so all my friendships are precious to me. I love my friend and she is an important person in my life. We disagree on a lot of things and that’s why I love her. Her perspective and her loving, optimistic nature are a good balance to my guarded, cynical nature. I don’t want my trauma to hurt her and her family and destroy our friendship. But I’m afraid her loving optimism could make her family vulnerable to a child predator, and all the other signs are there imo.
I’m afraid of the confrontation and of losing my friend, but if her daughter is being abused, I have to do anything I can to protect her.

So I often skim through this subreddit and see a LOT of negativity toward the quality of Razer products and especially customer service.
For starters, I just wanted to mention my experience with their products. The first Razer products I ever purchased was back in 2014. I had a whole setup of Razer gear: mouse, keyboard, mouse pad, microphone (when the first edition of the Razer Seiren came out) and Kraken 7.1.
Since then I’ve had many new iterations of a lot of the peripherals and I should note that never did I replace them cause of them not working anymore. I merely just enjoy upgrading my gear to a lot of the newest stuff. As it stands, the current gear I have now is about a year old or atleast about to be a year old, with the exception of my most recent Razer Naga pickup (finally went wireless)
The only thing I’ve ever replaced due to poor quality has been my Razer Blade 14. I replaced it with a 2016 or 2017 model and that one shortly died as well due to the battery. I learned to never get Razer laptops after this.
But peripherals? Have yet to have any issues. I gave my original Blackwidow from 2014 to just father and he still uses it today and not a single thing about it is wrong. Works as good as the day I bought it.
Now I move on to my first and only experience with their customer service which literally just happened now in the month of May.
I ordered Razer Iskur v2. I made a thread about it here that FedEx was taking forever to deliver it. A Razer customer service rep reached out to me here on Reddit, and from that point on, I was exchanging emails back back with Razer about the situation.
FedEx lost the chair. But about a week and a half after all this mess, I immediately got my refund from Razer without any issues.
I hear horror stories on here about them and then j gave a relatively painless (albeit still annoying and inconvenient) situation where my refund was delivered pretty much immediately.
I can do nothing but commend their customer service and I continue to use their peripherals without any failure rate all these years.
