Chapter Eleven: Delvers of ill repute.
Over the next week Sebastian came to visit a few times while I worked. Him and Katyogel talked a lot together, and of course Felix was right there getting scritches. I'd spawned a copper node just outside of my cave entrance, two patches of mushrooms that by description seemed to be for some form of alchemy, and a large patch of Blackberries that I wanted just because Sebastian had mentioned in passing that he liked Blackberries but they were hard to find. In my first cave I spawned another copper node, and then moved on to my second cave. In here, I decided to spawn 2 Iron nodes, and a lichen patch. I was still struggling a little for mana, so it took me a while to manage to spawn the resource nodes.
About eleven days after the inspector had visited, my attention was grabbed by two delvers that had entered my domain. They were filthy, had poor armor and weapons, but were at least level 8. They really looked more like bandits than delvers. I sent Katyogel down to talk with them, and before she could even land, they had killed her with a fireball. That's when I heard their plans for me. The shorter one, who looked like a sneak thief or piss poor mage looked to his taller companion that was like a swordsman but no warrior. “The dungeon knows we are here now, hurry, we need to destroy it's spawners and minions, and then kill the core. We can sell it and be rich!” The other delvebandit just grunted, and they moved towards my cave.
Destroy my spawners? Kill me? No. No. NO! I sent every minion after them. If it's me or them, it's gonna be them. My minions poured out of my cave. Owls swooped down, scratching and clawing at them. Spiders and crickets stabbed and bit, my scions leaped and fought. My snakes bit and squeezed and coiled. My mountain cats leaped and fought with tooth and claw, spells were cast to no effect against them by Felix, he was too low a level. First Katyogel had fallen, and now I watched as one after another, my other scions died as well. All I had left was my slimes, and they would be no match either. They entered my cave. Attacked and destroyed my spawners. Went deeper. Destroyed my slime spawner and my slimes, and then they entered my third cave. At the back. A single slime had made an illusion of my core in a divot in the wall. They rushed forward, and killed my slime, and the illusion vanished.
The short one looked around in confusion. “Where's the core? It's gotta be here!” Swordman looked around and shrugged. The short one suddenly stopped. “Do you feel that Packy? The dungeon. Can you feel it's anger?” Swordsman guy just shrugged. “Nope, you know I'm a deader. I can't feel anything.” The little guy looked up at his friend. “We have to find the core and kill it! We have to! I didn't pay that dungeoneers guild stooge for nothing. He said this was a baby dungeon so this should be easy! We need that core!”
I glared at them. I had no minions left. They had murdered my spawners and scions except for the spawner in the Oak. However.... They were not leaving here alive. All their fighting of my minions and Scions had given me a lot of mana back from each of their deaths. Enough to do what was needed. I reached out to the roof of the cave they were in, and collapsed it down onto them. The massive burst of mana their death gave me was no sinecure. They had murdered my scions and their spawners. They had murdered my friends. I was angry. This would not happen again. I spent all my mana upgrading Katyogel and her spawner. She was now level 10. Two days later a familiar set of feet stepped into my domain, and stopped dead in her tracks as she felt my rage fall on her. A now much more powerful Katyogel flew down, landing in front of inspector Ingrid, and hissed, fluffing her feathers out and flapping her wings at the Inspector.

As I stepped into the clearing, I felt the dungeons attention turn to me, burning with rage. I froze. This was not the same dungeon as before, what has happened? An Owl Scion swooped down, landing, and displaying aggressively. It was strong. Very strong. It stood there Flapping it's wings and puffing out. No, this isn't right. The dungeon was friendly before. What is going on? Stepping back. I looked at it. It wasn't attacking, it was warning me off. But why was the dungeon so angry?
“Scion? What is wrong? Why are you so angry and hostile? What has happened?”
My Scion screeched at her “BETRAYER! Two murderers came, saying they paid a man from YOUR guild for my location! They killed my scions. Destroyed my spawners, and planned to kill and sell me! YOUR GUILD BETRAYED US! Leave now or die as they did!” With that my Scion launched herself into the air and began drawing in all the air around her, gathering a storm of pure rage aimed squarely at the Inspector. A flash of fear crossed the Inspectors face.
Inspector Ingrid stood her ground, though I could see she was shocked and disturbed. “I didn't betray you. Nor would I. If what you say is true, then there are only three people it could have been that sold your location.” I saw her own anger rise. “They have betrayed you, me, and their duty as members of the dungeoneers guild. We have a penalty for that. Life in prison at hard labor.” She then looked up to Katyogel. “I will leave and deal with this, but I will be back, and I hope that you will see fit to talk with me. I am not your enemy, nor the one who caused you harm. I hope you will remember that.”
Katyogel screeched at full volume. Shaking the leaves from the trees. “LEAVE OR DIE!” Then before the Inspector could respond, Katyogel cast her spell. “Windblade!” And the trees above the Inspector were cut like a hot knife through butter. The inspector turned, and left. I saw a tear fall from her eye as she did so. Why was I so bothered by that?
Rage churned and boiled within me. I wasn't strong enough. I couldn't protect them. I had to be stronger. Fiercer. Deadlier. I would kill and sate my rage with their blood. With those thoughts. I upgraded my core again. I was now level four. My core the size of an apple. Mana flowed into me at a greater rate. I upgraded Katyogel until I was nearly starved for mana. She had to be stronger. Deadlier. She was now level thirteen. She was a storm mage. She would become my vengeance. I dumped everything I had into her. I also created one new spawner. A mole spawner. I upgraded it to level two, and when my first mole spawned it was about the size of a chicken. I directed it to start digging a long, deep tunnel into my hill. I would move my core to a place nobody could reach, and then. Then I would grow. I would kill anything that stepped foot in my domain. They would all die!

Scarlett is still full of excitement after her sleepover with her best friend. “Have you ever sung karaoke?” she asks her sister, who has just picked her up to walk her home. Jolene, engrossed in her phone, doesn't even hear the question. “No,” she replies bluntly. “Well, you should. It's amazing!” Scarlett beams. “You know, I always thought I should be famous, but now I know it.”
Jolene can't help but scoff at this notion. “Yeah? What makes you so special?”
“Uh,” Scarlett scrunches her brow in confusion. “Everything...”
Jolene rolls her eyes and continues typing vigorously on her Blackberry. Scarlett sighs, knowing she can't compete with her sister's phone. I'm just going to wait until we’re home, Scarlett thinks, moving her little legs faster to keep up with Jolene’s pace. Mom will want to hear why I should be famous. I’ll probably have an agent by next week, then BOOM, I’m the next international pop star. Scarlett begins to strut down the street with her hands on her hips, periodically waving and blowing kisses to the imaginary photographers that line the street.
“Stop being a weirdo; Mom is expecting us back in 20 minutes.” Jolene always has a way of taking the fun out of, well, everything. Scarlett sticks her tongue out at her sister, adding a fart noise to punctuate her annoyance. Jolene’s phone buzzes once again, gaining her full attention. The girls continue their walk when Scarlett spots “Scoops,” her favorite ice cream shop.
“You know, Jo, we’re not that far away,” Scarlett stops abruptly, making her sister stop in her tracks. “I know for a fact we can get home in 10 minutes from this ice cream shop!” Scarlett casually points to the store next to her, just like she planned. Jolene rolls her eyes and glares at her sister. “You would know that.”
“I just so happen to have a five in my pocket; we have twenty minutes to get home… AND it’s only going to take ten minutes to get home, so….”
“We have ten minutes to get ice cream,” the girls say in unison. Scarlett with excitement, Jolene with disdain. Jolene lets out a big sigh, rolling her eyes. “Fine, I have a phone call I need to make anyway. But I swear to God, Scar, if we are late, you are taking the blame.” She continues to type on her phone as she takes a seat at one of the tables.
“Deal!” Scarlett smiles as she reaches for the handle of the door to the ice cream shop. “Do you want anything?”
“No, I’m fine.”
Scarlett makes her way into the shop, smiling at Sam, her favorite ice cream scooper. Sam is always kind and cheerful, and her scoops are noticeably bigger than Dave's. “Hi Scar!” Sam says with a giggle. “What can I get my best customer today? The usual?”
“Yes, please, and you know what,” she says, raising an eyebrow and flashing her $5 bill, “make it a double scoop!”
“Woah, big spender today. Where did you get that kind of money?” Sam’s eyes widen as she grabs a cone off of a tall stack.
“It was my birthday last week!” Scarlett excitedly bounces on her toes, remembering the celebration. “We had a party with all of my friends, and I got so many presents. I almost didn’t have time to open all of them. And then we had a bounce house. And then we had a dance party, and everyone chanted my name because I should be famous. And then I blew out the candles and made a wish. And then Danny threw up because he had too much cake. And then Mom decided that’s enough fun for the day.”
“Wow! That sounds like a great birthday,” Sam says, generously filling her scoop with mint chocolate chip and placing it on the cone. “How old are you now?”
“Eight,” Scarlett beams, mouth watering as she focuses her attention on the overflowing cone.
Sam nods. “Ah, makes sense. Only big kids get to walk to the ice cream shop by themselves.”
Scarlett furrows her brow in confusion. “No, I don’t. Jolene is just...” Scarlett points out the floor-to-ceiling windows at the front of the shop. She can see the tables and chairs on the sidewalk, she can see a car pass by on the road. She can even see a couple walking on the other side of the street, but she can’t see Jolene. “Uh, my sister was just outside…”
A sinking feeling starts to take over Scarlett’s stomach, her mind racing with the possibilities. Did she go home without me? I’ve only been in here a few minutes… and Mom would be mad she left me. Maybe she is hiding so she can scare me? Wouldn’t be the first time… maybe she saw one of her friends and they…
“Are you ok?” Sam’s voice snaps her out of her thoughts. She turns back to Sam, seeing the reflection of her worry in Sam’s face.
“Um… I don’t know,” Scarlett says cautiously, unsure of what to do.
Sam takes a deep breath and sets the cone down, making her way to the front of the store to look out the door. Scarlett follows closely behind, using Sam as her shield. They both scan the area looking for any signs of Jolene. Sam takes a few steps onto the sidewalk, accidentally kicking a small object. “What’s this?” Sam asks as she bends over to pick it up. Scarlett's stomach turns to knots as she looks at the Blackberry in Sam’s hand. Jolene got that phone for her last birthday, and Scarlett hasn’t seen her without it since. She knows there is no way Jolene would have left without it, at least, not willingly. Scarlett's eyes welled up with tears at the thought.
Sam recognizes her fear and kneels down to be face to face with Scarlett. “Is this her phone?” Sam asks nervously. Scarlett warily nods as the tears begin to stream down her face. Sam’s face falls, understanding what Scarlett is thinking. She gently puts her hand on Scarlett's arm. “Let’s call your mom, ok?,” she says as she leads Scarlett back inside. Sam fiddles with Jolene’s phone, finding the contact “mom”, and lifts the phone up to her ear. As the phone rings Sam can see the fear in Scarlett’s eyes, fear that not even ice cream can fix. “Everything is going to be ok!” Sam says, not knowing how wrong she is. “Hello? Um, is this Scarlett’s mom?”
Sam’s conversation falls into the background as Scarlett holds back tears. She stares out the window where Jolene once stood hoping she will magically return. Maybe if I close my eyes. She squeezes her eyes closed making the built up tears overflow. Please, please, please. She opens her eyes to see the barren sidewalk, slumping back into the chair letting her fear set in and her tears pour out.
Sam hangs up the phone and turns to Scarlett. “Your mom is on her way, and she is calling the police now.” she kneels down to the overwhelmed little girl, having no clue how to make anything better. “Did you still want that ice cream?” Sam asks as she goes to retrieve the melting cone. With no answer she tips the ice cream into a bowl, grabs a spoon, and rushes it back to Scarlett. “On the house” Sam insists pushing it toward Scarlett, feeling helpless and fearing the little girl's smile would never return. With tears running down her face, Scarlett takes a big spoonful of the ice cream, and lifts it up just to plop it back down, slumping into her chair. Trying anything to help, Sam has a new idea. “Why don’t we distract ourselves until she gets here?” Sam asks, receiving a nod. “How about we count the cars going by. I bet she will be here by the time 15 cars go by, oh look, there’s one”
“Two” Scarlett whispers as a silver car goes by. “Three” Sam says, taking a seat on the floor next to the occupied chair.

Over the past few months, I've had the opportunity to try out C&G's Inside the Waistband Covert holster for my 1911. The first thing that struck me was how well-designed and comfortable it was. As someone who carries most of the day, the last thing I want is my holster to be uncomfortable or distracting.
One of the standout features was the solid locking retention. It gave me peace of mind, knowing my firearm was secure when I was on the move. The holster was also designed to fit most RMRed Dots on the market, which was a nice touch.
However, there were a couple of cons I noticed. First, the open bottom allowed for threaded barrels and compensators, but it could be a bit challenging to get a perfect fit for my specific firearm. Secondly, the 1.5-inch belt clip could be a bit snug for my thicker belt.
Overall, my experience with C&G's Covert holster has been mostly positive. The holster offers a comfortable and secure fit, and the craftsmanship is top-notch. While there were a few minor drawbacks, the pros definitely outweigh the cons.

hii incoming shs student here, its a vv long post, need ng matinding advice. para narin akong nag rant.
2 years na ako sa current school ko lumipat ako nung grade 9 ako. i can say sa two years na un para akong nagroller coaster ride sa dami ng napagdaanan ko. dito ko naranasan mawalan ng kaibigan, mabully, at magpaka hirap sa acads. ako kasi hindi talaga ako academic achiever, ngayon lang din ako natauhan na ayusin and ayun nagpaka ulila ako sa acads to the point na pag groupings especially research ako gumagawa lahat. andami ko na encounter na tao na super hindi ko maintindihan ang ugali and i know it's normal. hindi ko alam if dala lang ba ng burnout ung kagustuhan ko lumipat. here are some reasons kung bakit ko gusto lumipat.
1.) Facilities and Employees - hindi ganun kalaki ang school ko pero padami ng padami ang mga estudyante dahil ang hilig ng school ko to invite inspiring basketball players na mostly galing etivac. anyways, talking about the facilities, ayun nga invite sila ng invite ng mga tao pero ung building naman hindi kakasyahan ng super daming tao. since incoming shs student na ko, i've seen the shs building already and i can say na it needs a major renovation. tuklap ung bubong, sirang railings. sa sobrang kulang ng classrooms sa senior high school building, pati ung science laboratory namin ginawa nang classroom pati ung computer room. ang iniisip ko lang for the facility is that andaming estudyante next yr at halatang magsisiksikan kami. i do understand that my school is a small type lang talaga pero ang akin lang bilang estudyante ng paaralan na un sana hindi sila nagiinvite ng invite tapos hindi naman kasya. here's the key, hindi nagpaparenovate ang school namin unless funded by the PTA. inuna nilang gawan ng funds ang pagpapa renovate sa court kesa sa mga buildings. ang pinaka sad but kelangan tanggapin, halos lahat ng matitino magturo samin ay aalis na kaya cinoconsider ko din un if magstastay pa ako. super hindi organized din ang school ko, flash back when i was still in grade 9, hindi ko alam na kuhaan na ng card. nalaman ko nalang sa kabilang sections AHDJBAKBJAK. tapos ngayon tuwing assembly sa sobrang tagal and late nila magstart usually 7:40 assembly pero 8:00 start ng klase, minsan nasasakop ung first and second subject namin. may school calendar kami kaso ni isa wala nasunod don plus nausog pa ung moving up namin. puro sila extra curriculars puro basketball, volleyball, pero walang matinong turo dahil minsan mandatory manuod ng mga keme nila hayzz. nasasayang ung potential ng mga teachers dahil sakanila eh. andami nilang inuuna kesa sa academics. ni wala nga matinong library naging tambakan. wala silang paninindigan, sabi nila kapag super daming late and absents it can lead sa suspension pero tong isang rich girlypop classmate ko super suki siya sa absents i do believe 4-7 times a month lang siya pumapasok pero here she goes nakakalusot. ngayon lang pumapasok dahil clearance na lemaw. ito pa matindi, nauna pa ang recognition ng mga lower levels kahit hindi pa tapos ang grades and clearance nila. i am not aware about sa protocol sa recognition and stuff tho, kasi hindi pa tapos ung ibang level samin sa clearance and naghahabol sila ng outputs sa teachers pero ayun nauna recognition day.
2.) Environment - for this part, tinitignan ko din ung mga tao na nasa paligid ko and how it affects me. as mentioned sa una, padami ng padami ang mga varsity saamin and it's not wrong naman but for me, atleast sana namomonitor nila. i've experienced isang varsity samin literal na hindi tumulong sa revisions sa research, eh na major kami. parang buong s.y. ata ako na down dahil don (first timer lang po sa research, i know mas mahirap pa sya sa higher level) ibang breed mga varsity samin sila ung hindi pumapasok, palaging tambay sa dorm, at super pa buhat sa acads. i dont know if that is normal T_T. may naexperience pa ko galing sa mga very loyalista sa school namin ung biglang tumatawa sila pag nakikita ako??? normal lang ba un T_T nakaka concious po kasi siya dahil hindi ko naman sila ka close. nung new student ako nung grade 9, dun talaga level up ng mga old students samin, kung ano anong issue ung ginagawa nila and natotoxican ako dun. may iba na ang bait bait sakin ang sweet pero kapag wala na parang anlaki ng kasalanan ko sakanila T_T. hindi ko maintindihan ung patungo nila.
aside sa mga factors na to, syempre hindi mawawala ung mga rason ko para magstay.
i met a lot of new people na mababait naman and may mga naging super close pa ko. sila lang ang rason ko magstay sa school namin. pag kinekwento ko to sa mga kaibigan ko, may isa na nagsasabi sakin na dapat ko naman piliin ung sarili ko kung saan tingin ko na magrogrow ako as a person. may isa naman na since nga na kami kami lang din magiging magkakasama for the next s.y. parang ganun lang din routine namin same sa grade 10. parang for that person mas prefer nya lumipat na para makapag "explore". may isa naman na nagsabi na huwag na lumipat dahil mahihirapan and maninibago ganun. para saakin naman i want to explore eh. i want to meet new people. ayoko na magpaka kulong sa lungkot dahil sa mga nangyayari saakin sa school. valid naman nararamdaman ko pero parang oa ba? T_T
- i do accepts any criticisms and advice po dahil un ang need ko. i'm still young, pwede niyo po ihurt ung feelings ko chariz anyways kelangan ko lang din ng guidance sa mga choices ko sa buhay. alam ko ang haba tas parang ang engot ng mga rasons ko pero an advice will do. thank you !

Tengo el modelo de flash V860 II para Sony. Cuando intento cambiar la distancia de disparo del flash, se queda fijo en 14 mm. A pesar de seleccionarlo y girar la ruleta para cambiarlo, no se modifica. Una vez, al encenderlo, sí se cambió, pero después de apagarlo y volver a intentar cambiarlo, ya no responde

Tengo una PS4 Fat que compré de una asociación que vende todas maquinas y porquerías como chatarra. La máquina no tiene sistema, el HDD estaba jodido. La llevé a un técnico y me pasó esto:

Trabajé en un local de jueguitos y el técnico me dijo que era una falla rara. La Play prende y da imagen, la verdad el técnico con el que trabajaba era bastante bueno pero no me supo arreglar bien el sistema, decía que necesitaba una máquina del mismo modelo con la misma versión de sistema para copiar una linea de código. Se la llevé a otro técnico, uno muy muy conocido y me pasó esas 280k. Para mi se re voló mal, con esa plata me compro una nueva. Tengo un disco compatible y para este punto la carcasa y los tornillos me la sudan, después los compro. Pero la memoria flash no se si otro técnico la puede arreglar o cuanto me pediría.

The first fully sapient AutoDoll made by Minoa as a prototype for sapient dolls. She is created as a crash test dummy/martial arts training dummy so she doesn’t really feel pain for most attacks (and attacks that harm organs like that new one from Jojolands doesn’t really do anything because she doesn’t HAVE human organs). She’s also really good with any form of polearm, usually wielding a large glaive that can change into any other polearm.
She constantly looks simultaneously grumpy and chill, which brings us to emotions: she doesn’t fully grasp the idea of emotions due to 1) being a prototype so her processing and expression of certain human traits is limited (Minoa is trying to replace the older processing unit with the newer one used by the rest of her Elites.) and 2) was sealed inside the workshop for a while due to a bug so there’s a bit of fish out of water tendencies.
She is otherwise friendly but ferocious in combat, able to scan the enemies’ attacks and techniques to either use it herself to train others on handling the ability (like Mega Man/Rockman, her name inspiration) or analyse it. Again, she’s made to tank so she doesn’t feel as much pain as a regular human.
She’s also surprisingly good at idol-style performances owing to the physical strength and dexterity needed as a martial arts training dummy that can fight back, being able to leave trails of electricity by breakdancing.

Ability: Double Gear Up
The Stand basically acts as a buff system for Rochelle in combat via overclocking, buffing Rochelle’s own Power and Speed. When either mode is used, there is a cooldown of 15 seconds. Rochelle can actually activate either innately, she just prefers using her glaive.

• Power: By pointing her glaive upwards for 2 seconds, red neon lighting appears as patterns on Rochelle’s clothing, surrounding Rochelle and her glaive. This increases Rochelle’s Power from B to A for 30 seconds, and strikes knock targets back by 5 metres.
• Speed: By planting her glaive (tip end first) onto the ground for 2 seconds, cyan neon lighting appears as patterns on Rochelle’s clothing, surrounding Rochelle and her glaive. This increases Rochelle’s Speed from D to B for 30 seconds, also doubling her jump height.

Great Heat: “Mechanical Heart Two-In-One Mode” - Rochelle stands motionless on a monochrome stage with gears connected to other parts like a Wily Fortress to the sides of the screen. A flash of lightning strikes Rochelle and the stage starts showing colour, the gears moving. Rochelle breakdances as several emojis depicting feelings appear on the screen one by one. Rochelle then makes a pose. Rochelle holds her glaive sideways for 2 seconds, making neon lighting of all colours appear as patterns on her clothing, surrounding Rochelle and her glaive. This combines the buffs for both Modes for 30 seconds.
Concept: Other than Rochelle’s base concept of a sapient crash test dummy/martial arts dummy, Double Gear from Mega Man 11, Cyalume Change from PriPara, Dance Fusion from Aikatsu (the latter two has some visual similarities)
