2015.08.07 02:17 steeeeeeeeeeeeevs Seeking advice/experience with Select2Perform (or similar) online aptitude tests for admin/clerical position with California city government. (More inside).

Hi, jobs!
I'm sorry if this is repetitive, but I have just been invited to proceed to the next step in the selection process for an Administrative Assistant II position with a California city government in my dream location.
I've taken several in-person, sit-down exams with various California city governments/counties and am currently placed at the top of 4 eligibility lists therein. This, however, is the one I'm really gunning for and am hoping you might have some insight to offer me to help me get my foot in the door and start my long-term career in public service!
Now, to the point: I'm writing to see if anyone has:
From the email: "...We now invite you to the next phase of the selection process. We have created an assessment session for you on Select2Perform. The online assessments are designed to gather additional information about how you fit for the position you have applied for. You will be required to complete 4 different assessments.
The first assessment is a job fit assessment designed for entry to mid-level positions that involve routine clerical and administrative functions in addition to office management functions and customer service. The second assessment is a proofreading assessment. The third assessment is a Microsoft Word 2010 assessment. The last assessment is a data entry assessment that measures your speed and accuracy at typing text and numbers into forms..."
I really, really appreciate any insight/advice/tips/tricks you have to offer me. I've been a longtime lurker here and I know there's a wealth of knowledge to be shared by this community. Thanks in advance for your input, jobs!
P.S. If you need/want any other information from me in order to give a better or more helpful response, please feel free to ask. :)

2013.02.06 08:06 ThatBurningPassion AMA Request - People working with Job Assessment Tests

So, basically, I'm getting real annoyed at those online Job Assessment tests such as Taleo, Select2Perform and websites like that.
I'm sure all my newly graduated Redditors feel the same way. So, let's see if we have anyone among us who works with those Job Assessment tests!
  1. Who looks at the assessment test?
  2. What's the best way to pass the assesment test?
  3. Is there an answer sheet anywhere?
  4. Is there a way to bypass it?
Really, the only important question is the second one, but any tips help.
