I’m PIMO, and don’t have privileges as I’ve stated in many of my other posts. Today, we had a hospitality lunch for the speaker who didn’t show up because, he had some meeting with this congregation or whatever is what they told my mom. We’re gathered at the elders house and out of the blue, I’m on my phone, and the elder asks me to say a prayer. Keep in mind, there is another elder there, an MS, and two other adult male that are definitely PIMI, yet I got asked to do the prayer.
Safe to say, these elders really want me to come back into the cult PIMI, but because I’ve been doing prayers since I was five years old, I know how to make it seem like they sound genuine, and so I put my “game face” on, did the prayer, ate and then dipped. Funny how, I can’t have privileges, or give school assignments but I can give a prayer for a “spiritual” banquet.
You may ask yourself, why would you go to that shit show in the first place? Simple, if there’s free food, I’m taking advantage of that shit. I don’t talk to anyone even if they try to make conversation and most of the “friends” don’t even like me because I don’t give bullshit answers to their “thoughtful” questions. I’m very blunt with them. So yes, it’s dumb to go to those gatherings, but food is food, and if I can take advantage of PIMI people, so be it.
These people are jokes.

Saw a Gamespot thread months back in Jan where one person tried to argue Starcraft and and Close Combat and other real time computer games are far more realistic depictions of war and thus better for training soldiers because the fast paced nature of their gameplay matches the realities of war more.
In addtion I saw a counterargument quote saying that RTS are too arcadey in their gamepllay with unrealistic deployment mobilization and too much reliance on twitch movements. But he also called traditional hex and counter games too turn based and rigidly based on formulas combined with the other issue of being too much based on dice rolls to be accurate representations. He proposes the best of both worlds in slowly but still real time computer military strategy games such as Red Devils Over Arnhem, the Total War series, and Crusader Kings as ideal military training sims.
But I noticethe traditional Grognard community not only detest real time mix but even less traditional tabletop attempts. Either the gameplay is Hexagon and Counter or Square Grid or Kriegspiel style maps other formats made before the 2000s so commonly released by Avalon Games. Its not just them, practically near all civilian commercially released wargames that are also used by the military are Hexagon and Counter, tile grids, Kriegspiel inspired, and other kinds of games that Avalon Hill and other very old (often now defunct) companies released. That something along the lines of White Dog Games products iike The Lost Valley Dien Bien Phu are deemed as too dumbed down and civilian-geared and pretty much the same sentiment for newer formats thats not been officially used by the military.
I ask why? What is it about old forms such s grid based maps, Kriegspiel, and hex and counter that are deemed as more suitable for accurate wargaming and military realism specifically? Why is it so hard for military to move on from these old models for anything not specifically created by them esp civilian created products (despite the fact the military has been opened to using computer software to simulate firesquad tactics, real time naval battle command, and geopolitics trainer, etc)?

I’m trying to find someone special. I guess I am tired of doing things alone. Finding a connection seems to be so easy for most people, unfortunately I haven't been given a chance.
As for hobbies, I play some video games, but I'm not an expert or anything. I spend most of my time watching shows and movies. I love discovering new movies and have a penchant for indie films or anything produced by A24. I like going to concerts and listening to music. At the risk of sounding arrogant, I consider myself to be at least marginally more intelligent (both academically & socially) than the average person. Therefore, if I ever decided to suddenly risk prison time, risk my reputation, and risk enduring the wrath of modern-day “cancel culture” by scamming people out of their money:

• I certainly wouldn’t do it for such paltry amounts of money. (i.e., anything less than $1,000 per victim.)
• I certainly wouldn’t choose high school & college students as my “target audience” to scam, considering that most people without college degrees have abysmally low annual incomes. Why choose low-income victims when it would be much more profitable to target high-income, high-net-worth individuals earning at least six figures a year? I have knowledge in business consulting, and I promise you that a business owner would be a MUCH more lucrative mark than a low-income college student.
• I wouldn’t choose such a time & energy-draining method of scamming people. Also, communicating back and forth with potential clients is an absurdly long time sink since only less than 10% of all potential clients who reach out to me actually become paying clients of mine. This means that 90% of my time communicating with potential clients ultimately proves to be a colossal waste of my irretrievable time & energy.
• If you pay me to provide academic services and I don’t deliver, you can always dispute the payment with the payment app and easily get your money refunded. So I could NOT get PETG to stick to my build plate to save my life. Then ran accross the advice to wash the build plate with hot soapy water (Dawn dish soap) and a thorough HOT rinse, complete dry, and then wipe down with isopropyl alcohol. Which didn't work, but that procedure PLUS some purple glue stick seemed to do the trick. Let me clue you in a bit more to my method and tell me where I am buggered.
Model to be printed sliced using VoxelMaker as it is the only slicer I have figured out for the X3 Max... If anyone can help me figure out how to configure Prusa Slicer to work with my printer I would LOVE it as I want to go to using the Raspberry Pi closer to the printer instead of my laptop in the other room...
Using VoxelMaker accept the defaults, I have tried using a brim, and a raft. Brim never appears, raft works, but lets go after a while... Save .g file to micro SD card and pop card back into printer.
Wash build plate with Dawn dish soap and LOTS of HOT water, fully clear rinse.
Thoroughly dry build plate.
Reinstall build plate to the printer textured side up, wipe it down with alcohol wipes. May try IPA straight from the bottle and a lint free, well paper towel to get any residue off of the plate.
Apply a thin layer of disappearing purple school glue stick.
Power on printer.
Auto Home.
Auto Level.
Set Z offset using the paper sheet method once the hot end parks at home position. I typically go to where I start to feel dragging on the paper, then go another .02 to .03mm, I am trying to get the paper to drag but not tear. Maybe too close?
Attempt to print.
I have had ONE successful print using this method, a PETG case for my Raspberry Pi 5 / Pimoroni NVME base computer. And FWIW, if you have a Pi 5 / Pimoroni NVMe base setup, THIS is the case to print! Tried a couple other designs and the pi gets too warm / fan runs too much. The point behind the Pi in the first place is LOW energy usage...

Filament is Polymaker transparent red PETG. I am going for being able to see status lights through the print after all... The apple if I could get a successful print was going to be slightly redesigned to allow for a small battery powered LED to have a red glowing apple for the teachers desk....
I have PEI build plate on my regular Aquila and PETG stuck too well, and the X3 Max build plate feels different, more slippery. Not sure what that is all about. But even so, after the glue stick, since the glue isn't going anywhere, the PETG should stick to the glue right?

Since about 3.21 I've been having massive frame drops whenever I move. I get 30-40 fps after standing still for a while but as soon as I move it drops to >1 fps. After being unable to fix it during 3.21 I uninstalled figuring I would try again the next major update.

It's still happening during 3.23 but not as severe, I can move around in the same room with decent fps but going to another room tanks it. I can't ride the tram as the fps is too low to get off and it eventually crashes to desktop. the game does work fine in Arena Commander though.

before 3.21 I was getting anywhere from 20 - 60 fps depending on where I was and what it was doing but it was very playable. I also know other people with similarly powered computers that aren't having this problem.
