Hi everybody,
I had my internal hemorrhoids banded about 3 weeks ago and I’m still experiencing bleeding and pain in my rectum after every bowel movement.
Is it normal to still have pain this far past the procedure?
The first two weeks were literally hell for me. It felt as if something was stuck in my butt constantly and passing stools have been quite the experience. I’m almost certain I saw one of the bands fall off on day 1 after the procedure.
I’ve been taking stool softeners and Metamucil religiously for the last 3 weeks and it doesn’t seem to help. I feel as if I’m always constipated and it takes a few tries in the toilet to try and get everything out. Whenever I sit for a while I get an immediate dull pain in my butt that takes a few hours to subside. My blood test showed I was low in iron so I’ve been taking iron supplements as well, not sure if that is making things worse? Some stools that I pass are very small, like a ball and it appears to have some blood and mucus around it.
Has anyone experienced pain and discomfort this far after banding? Anything you can recommend to help me heal faster? My follow up appointment w my gi doctor is on 6/18 but I’m going to call him tomorrow to see if he can see me sooner.

Verf plus oude lagen lieten deels los. De hele muur vervolgens met een plamuurmes van alle oude verflagen ontdaan, tot op het (dun)pleister. Poederde als een gek, dus behandeld met fixerende voorstrijk voor poederende ondergrond. Vervolgens dun laagje Muurglad erover. Weer voorgestreken met reguliere voorstrijk. Aantal weken later gestart met behangen, maar de muur lijkt alsnog volle bak te zuigen. Na het aanbrengen van een baan, viel er nauwelijks te corrigeren. Lijm leek wel verdwenen in een vingerknip. Gevolg is dat het behang dus op grote delen niet goed hecht. Zie filmpje

M31 I recently had a work event and us coworkers are all relatively new to each other(didn't know half of them). The small event was a bring your family/friends kind of thing, kind of informal, just a way to spread the word about a new store opening. There was one family member of one of the owners(unbeknownst to me at the time) he was walking around aimlessly, not interacting with anyone for quite some time.
I have pretty bad social anxiety so I can empathise with others that have it aswell, which is what I assumed this guy(M30s) had. So I decided to break the ice and introduce myself, he seemed very uncomfortable by this and was just kind of looking past me, so I asked him a few general questions to which he gave these gruntish 1 word answers(that were mostly unintelligible) that gave me nothing, then I was getting super uncomfortable so I excused myself to the rest room. I didn't see him talk to anyone else, I probably talked to the most people there honestly. And ended up making a couple connections. I have never had this much of an awkward time with anyone and I'm awkard AF.

just one rough patch and you are going to sell this beast of world-class defender. lad has got elite fighter mentality. Proper captain material. One of the fastest and strongest CBs in the market. One of the best ball duellers in 1 on 1. yeah cubarsi can defend and pass well and you have got kounde who was atrocious as CBs and Barca had to switch back him to RB. Barca team has got only part portion of squad as elite and that is defense(ter stegan should be sold yesterday). How lucky we are to have araujo, kounde, christensen and cubarsi. midfield is too injury-riddled and incomplete to be considered world-class. don't get me started about attack, it's just decent. why mess up the only perfect thing you have got in your squad.
Where is that attitude with ter stegan and Roberto and de jong(sadly he is a misfit here and probably will leave in 2026 for free)

I want to start this post by saying I am not specifically asking for medical advice. If anything this is more of a vent at this point. Also, there is small talk about medical things so keep that in mind before you read.
So I've been struggling with chronic atopic dermatitis my whole life. Unfortunately my condition is a genetic factor meaning this shit won't go away. I've tried every medicine available and I'm on the dupixant train rn. I've used dupxiant coming up on a year now and it's worked great for a while. Almost completely clear skin but lately my skin has started to have adverse reactions to the shot. My dermatologist told me I'm 1% of people who experience those affects and I'm just so tired.
Research wants me to do a medical trial for a new medication, it hasn't been FDA approved yet and is still in the testing phase. It's an injectable which isn't the issue for me.. but with the injectable I have to get 7 vials of blood drawn every two weeks. I'm scared.. I've never had my blood drawn let alone that much blood. The nice thing is if this medication works, it's covered for free until 2028, I also get 100$ every two weeks for participating in the trial..
I don't know what to do... I wish I could just press a magic button and this chronic illness could go poof. I'm tired of it. :(
