2024.05.19 21:11 microwavedwood When you can't get other health issues diagnosed.. because of your own health.

Doctors have believed I have dyspraxia for a while now. I went to get assessed before I got sick and got the first half done. They told me that it's likely I had it.
Wait times are pretty bad in my country. So I waited a year for the next half, but I developed MECFS. I was almost bedridden when I was due to do the next half so rescheduled. Then when the time came to do the 2nd half I was once again doing very badly. So it got cancelled fully. I likely won't be able to get that diagnosis now since I'm almost 16 and for some reason everything healthcare related gets more complicated after that.
I'm not really sure what to do now to be honest. It feels wrong for me to say I have dyspraxia since I'm not officially diagnosed, but I fit the symptoms extremely well unfortunately.
Shout out to MECFS for this 🥲

2024.05.19 19:28 Practical-Fruit-5637 Mass on shoulder update

Original thread here
I just wanted to provide an update as I know not many threads get them. She did end up meeting with an oncologist who (imo) was dragging their feet getting her a proper MRI....while waiting for the appointment for it, her health declined so badly she needed the emergency room as she was in so much pain and couldn't lift herself out of bed.
She was admitted and put on pain meds immediately while they ran tests. They did confirm she has stage 4 cancer, a type of malignant melanoma that has spread to her spine causing the weakness and loss of use of her legs.
She's to start chemo shortly and has just had a line put in, they're going to hold her until they see the cancer responding to the chemo. They said they believe they caught it early enough and while it's stage 4 it's not as bad as it sounds and they're confident she'll respond to treatment...
I'm upset it took this long to get her help but I'm glad she finally is there getting treatment. I don't have access to her chart to see any actual paperwork yet so all I have to go on is what she tells me.
This has been so hard to deal with but I just wanted to thank those who left a kind word or helpful advice.
Info for the bot: 62 year old Hispanic female, 230 lbs, United States, no prior medications or diagnosis.

2024.05.19 19:21 Mroddfigures Open Letter to Sam Altman

I still remember the first time I ever saw a computer. I was invited to a friends house. I had never seen an elevator that automatically opened. I walked into the apartment, mesmerized by the marble flooring, the pearl white paint, and the pristine furniture that seemed untouched by time. We went to his room, where I saw a device that looked like something out of a sci-fi movie. It was a computer. He started to play a game on it, and it blew me away. Growing up in the slums of Beirut, I had never seen such technology. I never knew the world beyond a few blocks. But something about that day made me realize there was so much more to discover. My thirst for knowledge and exploration has never stopped since.
When I remember that day and think about how yesterday I witnessed history in the making—an AI that can see us, hear us, and interact with us—I am struck by the incredible journey we've been on. In just 2 years, we've come so far, and the possibilities ahead are even more thrilling. We are witnessing only the tip of the iceberg, and I am both excited and eager to see what comes next.
Sam, you are in a position that few can truly comprehend. We can all speculate about how challenging it must be to manage one of the world's most powerful technologies, but no one really understands what you're going through. Know that we sympathize with you.
Throughout history, humans have been divided by many things, religion, race, ideologies, but one desire unites us all: the desire to find our peace in this life. The technology in your hands has the potential to take humans to new heights. As I sit here , writing this letter, I plead with you to ensure that this technology never falls into the wrong hands. Those who seek only money, power, and control. It should only be used to further humanity, enhance quality of life, advance healthcare, protect the environment, and discover the wonders this world has to offer.
I know how easy it is to get lost, but I believe you will always make the right decisions. With great powers come great responsibilities. Sam, I leave you with these final words: “We will die, and work will never finish.” As much as we yearn to see the future, your mental health must always come first. Don’t push yourself too hard. Thank you for everything you have done and will continue to do for us.
Sincerely, A.H.

2024.05.19 18:41 WittyEquivvalent I cannot express the importance of following the FAQ to this sub whether you have a diagnosis or not.

My PCP diagnosed me with CFS/ME last year. I have experienced debilitating, bedridden weeks. It destroyed me in so many ways.
Prior to my diagnosis they really didn't do many exhaustive tests at all. I was trusting doctors to know what tests to do to rule out symptoms and trusting my PCP's judgement when she provided me with the CFS/ME diagnosis. It also just felt like I had an answer finally with having the label because in my head it seemed to accurately describe the level of drain I felt.
But after suffering and suffering, and after it seeming to get worse even after taking several different liquid supplements and focusing hard in nutrition and not pushing myself, I decided to fight. I started looking at the resources on this sub and decided I was going to check everything off the list provided in the FAQ to have the doctor's test for.
I had to negotiate with a cardiologist to refer me to another sleep specialist after a different sleep specialist waved me away stating that so long as I wasn't falling asleep while driving this was a normal amount of fatigue for women to feel (yes really, almost word for word what he said). The cardiologist agreed to refer me to someone different, and this new sleep specialist did an in-hospital sleep test.
When that came back negative for apnea, the sleep specialist attempted to pass it off as just depression and anxiety. I pushed, stating that I have been seeing a psychologist for three years who wanted me to rule out medical issues. After some convincing he put an order in for several blood tests. TSH, TS4 [thyroid], B12, vitamin D3, basic metabolic panel, CBT, B9, etc.
These tests came back showing everything normal, except I was .01 away from being hypercalcemic and severely deficient for vitamin D3. When vitamin D3 deficiency persists, it can influence the functioning of the HPA axis, which in turn influence other functions of the body that regulate things like calcium uptake and the body's ability to hold setatonin and dopamine—and also may cause the symptom of debilitating chronic fatigue among other issues.
I'm taking 50,000 units of D3 once a week for 8 weeks in addition to what's in my multivitamin and in addition to doing light therapy. I was also prescribed Effexor XL to treat mental health side effects, since chronically high cortisol levels can also contribute to chronic fatigue.
It's too early to tell whether this will work or not. But I wanted to make this post to just hammer home to do the battery of tests and treatments whether you've been formally diagnosed or not. The medical system is a human system. I have given you the TLDR version and left out several other urgent care doctors and other specialists who simply refused to run any tests because in their opinion I was being an attention seeking patient and had "generalized anxiety disorder" in my records.
Especially if you're female and especially if you DO have an anxiety or stress disorder and live in the US, it is very likely you will have to assert yourself and push for tests. Don't let anyone gaslight you into thinking fatigue is normal or that there isn't anything more doctors can do until you know all tests have been exhausted. To be honest I'm not even sure how I ended up with a CFS/ME diagnosis with how little testing was done initially—I'm not sure that was supposed to happen or how that conclusion was made so early. Maybe it is the case, but do the tests anyways.

2024.05.19 18:31 sousuffer Endometriosis pilot study volunteers needed (recruiting in SF Bay Area or Boston)

Hi All - I'm Greg. I'm a bit new to the group and have been deeply moved by many of your stories. I founded a women's health startup with a mission to modernize and democratize women's healthcare while promoting health care equality.
A loved one of mine was diagnosed with late stage deep-infiltrating endometriosis and adenomyosis several years ago (two surgeries and now taking hormone therapy to control recurrence). When I learned about her patient journey, marked by severe pelvic pain and a decade-long wait for a diagnosis, I was frustrated (but not surprised) by the ongoing challenges women face in getting accurate diagnoses (or even being taken seriously) by healthcare providers. Our initial goal is to develop a non-invasive blood test for endometriosis to reduce the time to diagnosis and improve patient quality of life.
As part of our pilot, we need your help - we are looking to recruit 5 healthy donors over the upcoming month in either the SF Bay Area or Boston. We would be collecting menstrual effluent samples using a menstrual cup. Donors will be compensated $150 for their participation.
If you or someone you know might be interested, please message me and I will be happy to provide more details and answer any questions you may have. Thank you so much for your help!
Additional details: We need to test our antibodies to ensure they detect the cells of interest prior to collecting peripheral blood (from the patient's arm) from endometriosis patients. To do this, we need 5 menstrual effluent samples. These initial samples will NOT be from donors with endometriosis (they are controls). We have established an approved IRB protocol that permits us to collect samples and would provide all donors with all necessary information about our work along with informed consent forms. We also will ensure patient privacy and data de-identification (with respect to protected health information). We can provide written documents ensuring all of this. Once we have completed this step, there may be additional opportunities to provide standard blood samples at a later point.
Thanks so much for your help!

2024.05.19 18:12 bluekittirux Anyone here that is a M.D. and has lupus?

as the title says I'm curious if anyone here is a diagnosed Lupus patient but also a M.D? I'm thinking of persuing medicine as a career. I'm a pre-med student and before I decided or thought about becoming a M.D i didn't have a kidney transplant now i've to be more careful and take extra care of myself. I know med school is stressful and hard but I want to become a M.D to help patients like me, like us. Its so hard to be diagnosed and hard to live with this disease. My desire to become a M.D stems from my desire to help kids and young adults through their diagnosis. I was dissmissed of my symptoms all the time as a child (i was diagnosed at 11) part of me doesn't want children and young adults to experience this. I know its hard for many to even go to work but in my case i feel good, i have more good days than bad and i haven't felt any really bad symptoms like my first 4 years after being diagnosed. So maybe i could do it? If you're not a M.D but are in the healthcare field pls share your thoughts too since im considering that if i can't persue a M.D degree, I would like to still do/ work something in the healthcare field. Thank you

2024.05.19 18:10 wisdomInProgress Doubts about your diagnose?

—-
I wrote this as a reply. But it might help others aswell, which do need to see facts and numbers.
—-
How many books ive bought about discipline, habits, motivation…
First few weeks i still Wanst sure if my (positive) Diagnose was correct. I was just so scared that it would just be another hopeless try and error.
—-
After sitting every evening until late Night infront of my notebook, i found something i Personaly needed as a „proof“. (But didnt know until this moment)
Statistics about ADHD Symptomps and comorbidity with neurodermitis, depressions, prison and school drop out has destroyed all my previous doubt.
Struggling with decision making due to symptoms that are difficult to assess without numerical values to me, kept my doubts firstly.
But i found an insane amount Statistics on affected areas of life Like mentioned above, so that the diagnosis must be almost 100% correct.
Its still mindblowing to me.
Keep researching and learning psychology/medicine yall <3 Best wishes!
Edit: Now well i need to learn more about formatting on reddit lel

2024.05.19 18:06 Successful-Ad9613 You have a human right not to be diagnosed

A mental health label explicitly puts you at risk of being the target of repeated physical violence. It gives healthcare workers and police a license to perform torture and physical violence on you without warrant or public hearing. It means you can never seek any form of real, physical, medical healthcare without the risk of being assaulted severely, drugged, and detained at medical facilities. It also provides all your private information including your name, address, and medical history to people who are willing and able to stalk you and kidnap you without warrant or public hearing. It also compromises your ability to seek fair, voluntary employment. This leads to many scenarios of contemporary slavery and torture. Additionally, it gives members of society an ignorant reason to harshly discriminate against you because they were conditioned to believe violence against those labeled mentally ill is normal and medicine.
You have a human right to have a clean, mental bill of health with no label. You have a human right to completely reject your diagnosis. The only label for psych survivors I think has any validity is post traumatic stress.

2024.05.19 17:33 lolabunny424 Recently diagnosed at 19

I feel so out of my depth with my new diagnosis. Fell into diabetic ketoacidosis with ketones at around 7, spending 3 days in the 'intensive care unit' at the hospital closest to my university. There I was not only diagnosed with type 1 diabetes but contracted a blood infection from a cannula (which sent my blood sugars haywire) I was given that I was only informed of 3 days after I was discharged and referred to accident and emergency immediately at my home town. I then went on to spend another week in hospital where I suffered both mentally and physically, now (since discharge) administering my own intravenous antibiotics for up to 6 weeks fighting off this infection. This sounds like a sob story but in all honesty, I feel as if my life has been turned on its head.
Any general advice for a teenager who is eager to get over this infection and have a normal summer? Some of my biggest concerns are drinking again, becoming fit again, and understanding how to calculate my insulin independently.

Need Help with A/C – Multiple Shops, No Fix Yet
Hey everyone,
I’m at my wits’ end with my truck’s A/C issues and really need some advice.
Here’s the situation:
1. I installed a new head unit and was advised to change the A/C blend unit, which I did. 2. I’ve taken my truck to three different shops. Each one has given me a different diagnosis and fixed various things, but none have resolved the issue. 3. The system has been filled with refrigerant and checked for leaks – there are none, apparently. 4. I’ve also had a new compressor installed.
Despite all this, every time I turn on the A/C, it behaves like in the video.
I’m completely out of ideas. I came across this video on YouTube, which might be my next step, but I’m not sure. It says that the magnets might be too far to engage.
Does anyone have any idea what might be happening? I could really use some guidance here. Summer is cooking already!
Thanks in advance!

2024.05.19 17:17 snobll Diagnosis: Legal Landscape and Future

Hello, I am currently going through a diagnostic process for ADHD. I have utilized some tools at home to self-diagnose with Autism, and am unsure about having a formal diagnosis on my records. My concern is coming out of this process with Autism on my records.
What is the legal landscape like for having a diagnosis in the United States? I’ve seen there are 8 states that require people who are diagnosed placed on a registry. I have also heard about Autism diagnoses being used to place people in conservatorships, get them denied from life insurance, as well as remove their rights as parents in divorce proceedings. Are there any othemore instances now, or in the future (post november presidential elections) that having an autism diagnosis on my records could be more damaging than helpful?
I live in NC currently and am from Florida. Asking about the landscape both for state and federal law/politics. If y’all believe this topic is better suited for another place please let me know, any info helps.

2024.05.19 16:14 mcfraggle22 Thriving during early menopause

I'm putting this out there to document my adventures with early menopause. I'm also hoping to hear from other women who have had a positive experience. I'm grateful to this community for providing many recommendations and personal experiences which have guided me in making informed choices for my health. Background: 41 y/o, no period for a full year. Probably was going through peri since my early 30's and just didn't know it. A lot of weird symptoms the past 5-10 years make sense now! I just went through the process of getting a menopause diagnosis from an online provider called Alpha. I decided to skip the run-around with my PCP and GYN since usually the goal of the online concierge medicine apps is to provide you with meds that you already know you want/need. I plan to see my regular providers in a couple of months (the soonest I can get in) and hopefully one of them will take over writing my Rx so that I don't need to pay a monthly fee to Alpha (for now only $30, which is reasonable, but I'm afraid there might be hidden fees, so we'll see. Overall, I would recommend them for now)
Because of my age the Alpha NP still had me get my hormones checked and have a transvaginal ultrasound. This confirmed my hormones have run dry (estradiol <12, progesterone 0.5). Thyroid was normal. She did have me test FSH and prolactin too, which were inconclusive and also asked me to take a home pregnancy test despite me telling her my husband had a vasectomy 20 years ago (I get it, people sneak around). The ultrasound experience was fine and nobody should be scared to get one (make sure they let you put the probe in yourself- I did not have to ask for this, my US tech was lovely and they even warm the gel)
I am glad the Alpha provider was thorough in order to rule out anything more serious. Turns out I had a fibroid, but otherwise normal and once in the clear was given options for HRT. At first she only offered patches or oral estradiol. I requested topical estradiol gel since I've read many complaints on here about patches and they sound annoying. She prescribed the lowest dose 0.25mg. Also got 100mg oral progesterone and vaginal estradiol 0.1mg for dryness.
It took about 2 weeks to actually get meds due to waiting to get the tests etc. But I wasnt in a huge rush- it's already been over a year after all. I have high hopes, but mainly just afraid of nasty side effects, as I got MHT for long-term health (bones, brain etc) and not so much for symptom management (I feel pretty great overall).
Honestly I already feel like a superhero - went through peri while simultaneously starting and finishing nursing school, raising 2 children, working full time, went through a divorce (and many years of drama prior to that), moved 3 times, remarried and finally feel very settled the past 4 years. I am a fighter and a survivor and I want these hormones to keep me strong and loving the life I have made for myself because I'm not ready to waste away yet!
A few things that I think have helped prior to getting meds: pilates, walking and resistance training; tracking macros (aiming for 100g protein daily), low saturated fat, low sugar, high fiber diet (I got my high cholesterol down to normal levels in 8 months once I made big changes), microdosing psilocybin (yes! This really made a huge difference in mood and general outlook- look into it. I don't use it often now but it saved me during a dark night of the soul), low caffeine- just one tea daily, sunlight, fresh air and the love of a partner who truly cares (healthy relationships are a big priority, cut out the toxic people). I will update in a few weeks/months. Praying for a positive experience!

Here is the recap of the 11 monetized posts from Kylea G Weight loss Journey on 05/18/24.
"Greed is a never-ending hunger, that drives people to sacrifice morals and values for personal gain." -Unknown
⚠️ Compulsive Buying Disorder (CBD), aka shopping addiction, Disordered Eating, Gaslighting, Grief, Illness, Infertility, TTC (trying to conceive) Community, and Religion will be discussed.
Disclaimers: I am not a physician, influencer, or paid content creator. I am not affiliated with WW. I am semi-retired from the healthcare field with multiple college degrees. These opinions are my own based on social media content. I wish no harm to Kylea or Joseph "Joe" Gomez.
☎️ If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, please call or text 988 for assistance.
Behind the Scenes Family Update: Kylea Gomez has been exploiting a life-changing medical diagnosis of a close relative (without their permission and against their wishes) to internet strangers in social media messages. She has claimed that she is supporting this relative (which is a lie) to justify her work ethic, productivity, and even basic hygiene issues. Let that sink in for a moment...
To this relative: You, your family, and your medical team are in my prayers. ✝️
To Kylea's Biological Parents: Your daughter disparages your name and relationship for personal and financial gain frequently. No concert, trip, or gift provided to you with money obtained under (allegedly) false and deceptive pretenses justifies Kylea's disturbing behaviors. Stop enabling her.
California Clarification: Kylea was rejected by a Cavapoo breeder from adopting the Original Birdie (OB) during her California trip. I am thankful to the breeders of OB for making a tough decision in the best interest of the puppy. For me, this seals the deal that Kylea falsified details of this California trip and rushed home to find Backup Birdie (BB), who is the focus of today's content.
The tagline of Kylea G Weight loss Journey is, "I changed my entire life with prayer and a playlist of songs. No surgery, no meds. Just Jesus."
DAILY STATS: 05/18/24
0/11 posts discussed prayer
0/11 posts discussed music
0/11 posts discussed exercise
3/11 posts discussed a recipe
1/11 posts was about takeout "coffee" at 5 am
7/11 posts were about Birdie Mae 🐶
📢 For our friends at Meta, that means 63% of Kylea's monetized content had nothing to do with weight loss, which is the tagline and purpose of her page. Her weight loss journey ended July 2023 per her content. Why do you continue to pay her for non-weight loss content?
⚠️ Disordered Eating- Daily WW Points Used (Data compiled from monetized content):
1 WW Point: Crazy Llama "coffee" with almond milk, sugar-free vanilla, sugar-free peppermint, and sugar-free white chocolate
3 WW Points: Taco Soup with 12 Trader Joe's Rolled Corn Chili & Lime flavored Tortilla Chips
📢 For our friends at Meta, Kylea consumed 4 WW points out of (up to) 30 daily WW points= SEVERE disordered eating. This messaging is deadly for those on a weight loss journey. Follow your policies and take action.
Recipes Shared: 1. Taco Soup: 🚨 This recipe has dangerous sodium levels. Please know your daily sodium recommendations before making this recipe. 🚨
  1. Taco Rice Bowls: The soup is drained and added to 1 minute jalapeño rice with cheese. 🚨 The sodium alert is the same as above. 🚨
☎️ Please speak with a medical professional about any questions or concerns you have about your health.
Comments: To the animal lovers, I am sending you good vibes to get through this nonsense. Here we go...
  1. Coffee at 5am: Kylea and Joe are pictured in their vehicle outside Crazy Llama Coffee with the sun shining bright. Kylea claims she was home at 5 am, and Joe took her right away to get her "favorite coffee."
⏸️ The sun rises in Joplin after 6 am. Why lie? ⏸️ Her facial sunburn that disappeared yesterday is back today. How did that happen? ⏸️ Kylea claims she does not have cravings or temptations. However, she is addicted to sweet. Her "coffee" is beige colored at best, and she needed it right away...
  1. Backup Birdie Part 1: Her airline approved pet travel accessory backpack is shown in the vehicle. "All my dog mom dreams are coming true today 💖 🐶"
  2. Backup Birdie Part 2: "My heart is so full!!! 💖 🐶 I got the cuddliest, cutest, sweetest girl. 😭 I cried when I met my puppy for the first time because I love her so much already!!"
⏸️ Kylea's followers immediately started asking to see pictures and were told they needed to wait until after Kylea's family met her first. HoWeVeR, some influencers (bestie Drue Basham, Drue's SIL Sierra, Brittany Bryant, etc.) got to see her first and comment from their influencer accounts about Birdie. I'm sorry, loyal top fans and followers, possible cross-engagement from "trusted" influencers is more important than respecting your loyalty. Welcome inside the mind of a 🐈 🐟 er. Always trying to boost engagement, the algorithm, and gain new followers...
  1. Taco Soup Recipe: 🚨 This sodium monstrosity has canned beans, jarred salsa, enchilada sauce, rotel, roasted corn, a ranch seasoning packet, a taco seasoning packet, fresh chicken, and water. 😲
  2. Backup Birdie Part 3: "Welcome home 🏠 to our forever girl 🎀 Birdie Mae 🐶 She's already following Joseph and I around and has brought us so much joy. 🌈 🎀"
⏸️ The puppy shown does not appear to be a Cavapoo, and Kylea refuses to answer follower questions about her breed. Remember, Birdie was not supposed to come home until May 20th, then May 19th.
To all individuals in the TTC Community, I know the 🌈 is a powerful symbol for you. I have experienced pregnancy loss and fertility care. My heart hurts for anyone triggered by the language Kylea uses and humanizing pets in reference to pregnancy loss. 🙏
  1. Backup Birdie Part 4: "The moment I held her, I just knew she was meant for me.🎀 🐶 She loves all of the cuddles which is good because I do too. 💖"
⏸️ Not one reference of her "sweet boy" Oliver or Alice. Where are the cats? BB is asleep on Kylea.
  1. Taco Soup Part 2: 🚨 Since it wasn't salty enough, why not put some chili & lime tortilla chips on top? Chef's 💋. Kylea held the bowl, showing her barefoot on the floor. I did NOT miss her feet content. 🤢
  2. Backup Birdie Part 5: "We already love her so much 🎀 💖" BB is asleep in a fuzzy blanket on her puppy bed.
  3. Backup Birdie Part 6: Within 30 minutes of this writer posting info in Reddit chat of how to file an animal complaint in Joplin, MO as a PSA (not a threat) encouraging Kylea & Joe to be crystal clear about Alice's whereabouts, a picture of Joe cuddling BB with Alice behind him on the couch is posted. "Joseph loves Birdie Mae too 💖 🐶 So far she loves to sleep 😴"
⏸️ 3 animals are now housed in a small apartment. Two cats with behavioral issues and a young puppy. Kylea can claim she will have no issues because "it will be fine," but she is ignorant, immature, and selfish. Wise followers will remove their rose-colored glasses and see the truth. There is a theory Alice was edited into the photo again...
  1. Taco Soup Part 3: 🚨 No more takeout for Joe! He gets to eat Taco Soup Rice Bowls for work lunches this week.
⏸️ On the recent McDonalds post, a smart follower asked what Joe eating McDonalds had to do with WW. Kylea replied it was a "balanced lifestyle." Remember, Kylea & Joe want you to believe Joe has not gained weight no matter what he eats, with photo evidence (even modified) proving differently. Kylea's chains were broken 07/05/21. No cravings, temptations, plateaus, weight gain...a perfect journey to this day (and forever). 😇 Please disregard her obvious eating disorder and mental illnesses. Seek medical care, Kylea Gomez. ☮️
  1. Backup Birdie Part 7: A 12-second video is shared of BB playing with a squeaky toy on the carpet.
⏸️ No Oliver, Grams, or Gibson content today. Kylea told her followers (in a comment) that Oliver had not met the puppy. It's good to see your "sweet boy" and subject of a ridiculous amount of monetized content is already booted engagement wise.
Final thoughts: Money reveals people's true colors. 👀 Buckle in for a nauseating amount of BB nontent.
Takeout: Crazy Llama takeout for 2: $16 est + tip;
All info from Reddit. ✌️

2024.05.19 15:04 FlounderWonderful603 Feeling sharp pain on left side and cramps in early weeks of pregnancy

Hi, I just found out I was pregnant and it’s like my 5th week. I have been experiencing period cramps in between. Yesterday night I ate food late and started experiencing sharp pain on left side of abdomen. It subsides after few minutes and then starts in between. I haven’t yet visited the OB/GYN for scan and I am feeling very scared. I am thinking to get an appt with OB/GYN tomorrow as it’s weekend and everything is closed. Should I wait till tomorrow? Has anyone had similar situation? What did you do? TIA

2024.05.19 14:56 NoPaleontologist927 Career options with 10+ years as a OB/GYN

My mum has worked as a obsetrician/gynaecologist for the past 10 years working for the government of a North Indian State. She wishes to practice abroad (preferably UAE or dubai as she has friends there) for a few years before retiring. I know about the DHA authority and the medical licenses required, last time I checked she was eligible to work as a Specialist, but my knowledge about medical world is quite limited. The main reason she wants to switch is because she wants to earn big for a few years before retiring. I have 0 knowledge on how to help her. Would love some guidance/recommendations from people who have done the same in their life. She currently works as a Senior Medical Officer for the same state government.

Guys what the fuck am I doing wrong?
Have been left on read on a pattern. This app is making me question my conversational skills. I've tried being witty, given compliments, tried talking about the mundane. Nothing seems to work
