I played LadyStarbird's Ps2 and Ps4 randomizers. To be fair, there's just so much you can do with PS2, imo, but PS4 had an "open world" feeling and was generally better and varied, by the sole nature of the game.

I’m the eldest out of three, my dad has been having health issues lately (nearly died early April), it was stressful and I was basically parenting my baby sister while mom was constantly in the hospital. Counselors I’ve spoken with agreed that I’ve been placed with too much responsibility on and lately it has decreased thankfully, dad is home and occasionally has a lot of pain but it’s much better now, nothing critical albeit his skin is much worse (he’s always had skin problems), he’s not working currently because he’s not fit to do so. Whenever my baby sister (info: she’s 1 years old and can run around + play freely by herself with supervision) starts crying or screaming, he ALWAYS shouts my name, always my name telling me to put her to sleep when that’s not even what her needs are, always my name, I understand he has health problems but not so bad he can’t even take care of his own daughter. My younger sister can take my baby sister too but why me? Why my name always? There was even this incident where dad was shouting for my name but my sister went instead and CAN put my baby sister to sleep but dad just shouted for me anyways. Mom told him to knock it off, she’s the only breadwinner as of now and does all household chores. I fucking hate that they view me as mom’s substitute. Every day without fail now that he has free time, he goes out and places money on some fucking horse game, I never had a problem as he’s been doing this long before I was even born and it never affected our family, it’s a joke when he says he’ll quit smoking or placing money, it’s impossible to talk him out of it anyways. I just hate the smell of smoke honestly, he didn’t even stop when my baby sister was born which I do find incredibly stupid as she was a newborn. He’s been smoking before I was born too, but I never cared cause he’s always been a father to us, working hard and late, generous, treating us to sushi, I loved that, I loved him and he was the only person I found joy in even when I was suicidal as a kid but now? It feels like everyday I’m seeing more and more of a deadbeat, less of a father even if he’s got health problems. He has friends at the place that he bets money on horses, so sure he needs a social life but even when he’s home, he still takes the TV to watch some fucking horses. Me and my younger sister were having a great time watching a childhood show today, then he came home and everyone 10 minutes or so he’d need the TV just to watch his fucking horses. I was there with mom in comforting him when his dad died during March, I try to show concern and love but he’s really only somewhat of a dead to my baby sister now, going out with her, playing, adoring her. I love her too, I’m not jealous of her. There’s no sense of jealousy, I don’t think I resent my dad and it might just be the fact my period is soon but I just don’t think I have a dad at home right now, I want to unconditionally support him but in return I just want him to treat me like a daughter again. I still remember words from a few years ago that he said to me: “I don’t want to be a good man, I want to be a good father” and he was that, for a good while, he’s not bad but just not a father right now.

Hi! A friend of mine just dusted off an old game from her childhood and I was tasked with the rules. The game (Cosmail) comes from the 40's and the rulebook is just hilarious to read by modern standards. I just wanted to share some of the stuff.
Overall, the rulebook seems to consider that you already know how to play the game, it's just there as a reminder. I've read some other old rulebooks with a similar trend but this one was just too good. It almost made me reevaluate what I consider a bad rulebook now.

January 2011, I was on Death and Glory server. Payed the $50 for the DCUO game with the 1 month of subscription included which was $15 a month after that. Before the 1 free month was over I had created what would become my main (V) in order to PVP more quickly. All PVE had been completed or reached cooldown lockout, PVP was fun back then and too many hero characters on the server. Then the PSN hack; PSN offline for 3 months; Eventually... free to play DCUO, eventually mega server started, Sony SOLD SOE.

Hello everyone! I have recently been rewatching Bridgerton and have been inspired, particularly in season two with the emergence of the Sharmas. I'd like to play an older unmarried lady, around 24-26, and embark on her story through entrance to society. My first idea was that of a illness. My character struggled for her years when she should have been in society, plagued by an illness we can concoct. When she finally is initialized, she finds that being behind is about as she expected. Very little suitors call on her, and rumors of her health spread before she is even considered.
You will play a male, any rank or title or whatever. This is to be a romantic roleplay. We will come up with a story line that suits us both. I do have some ideas regarding scenes and engagements, but I leave the end result up to us to create together. Some scenes I have in mind would be a horse race, several balls and soirees, a library, etc. Of course much will be up to our discretion as far as what actually happens in these settings.
I'd like to have someone able to play side characters. Conversations can't happen just between our characters if this story is to truly be a riveting one. Please be 21+ in real age, character age should be older than 26. I prefer artistic references over realistic. Length should be matched, but 2 paragraphs minimum. I understand some dialogue and things will take over much of description sometimes, but do your best to be detailed. Please be literate with little grammar errors. I know that mistakes happen, but please speak English well.

What is Assassin's Creed Odyssey?
AC Odyssey is the 11th game in the series. It is set in ancient Greece, one of my favourite history parts! I like the greek mythology so much! Its basically like any other AC game, but with RPG elements, which I really like! I like the graphics so much, It really looks realistic! I also like the combat in it!
Why AC Odyssey?
I have been a big fan of the series. My first game goes back all the way to AC3. I remember playing it on a PS3 a really long time ago.Then, I played Unity which I really liked! I liked the setting, parkour there! Then, I played Syndicate, which is my favourite in the series(so far)! I liked it so much that it was London, which is my favourite city in the world(never been there tho, but I hope that in the future i will travel there).The setting is amazing in the game, which is ancient Greece.
Things I like about it:
-I cant express how much I like the setting
-Awesome graphics
-I like that the player can make choices
-The naval battles make a return here, which were in AC4
-Epic combat!!

2024.05.19 17:28 Scout_Trooper343 Why is it that every time someone leaves, the game camera has a stroke, this mode has way to many bugs.

I don't understand how the game is fine when it has a full band, but the moment someone leaves, the camera doesn't know what to do and aims all over the place, it goes up, down, underground, staring right at the people in the crowd. Like why? I don't see any reason that should happen. it sucks that there isn't anyway to fix it. its something that WILL happen no matter what.
And on top of that when an NPC comes in to fill in the empty space, usually its glitched too. sometimes there are even 2 of them standing in the same spot clipping into each other, or one will spawn right into an already existing player.
Its crazy how many how many bugs this game has, I didn't even mention MANY audio problems that exist like song in the lobby area not turning off and playing on top of the main song, and many more issues. The game is so buggy I feel like Rocket Racing at launch was more smooth then this mode is now. I'm almost guarantee to have at least 1 bug experienced every time I play a round.
Please fix the bugs.

C. The ongoing race war between CC and Reese is simmering beneath the surface. "Students of the game" vs "athletes". We're only moments away from Birth of Nation-style ground war that will end with thousands of fans bloodied and dead in the street.

I love both Red Dead Redemption games, they're both well written with many memorable characters and a large great open world full of many opportunities. I think both games should be equally as praised for how they tell the story of the dying West.
However between both of these games, I find myself loving rdr1s atmosphere more than rdr2s. And there is reasons for what, weither or not you agree with those reasons is up to you and I'm not saying everyone has to agree with my opinion here. But never the less I wanna talk about it, because I think rdr1 has a very unique atmosphere and something that everyone should experience.
The major difference between rdr1s atmosphere from rdr2s, is the tone. Rdr2s atmosphere can range dramatically in the game, but most of the time Rdr2s tone is fun and hopeful. Yes there absolutely is depressive and sad moments in this game and many times where you actually feel very hopeless, but overall the tone I feel when playing rdr2 can be quite happy and hopeful. Getting to spend so much time with the gang, having cool shootouts and robberys, and with many memorable fun characters that you can't help but love for their personality and the bond you establish with them such as Sean.
Rdr1 has absolutely none of this. There is no moments in rdr1 where there's a sence of hope or fun in this game. There's no glorification in rdr1, no moments where you can feel hopeful and happy in what your doing and witnessing. As depressing as rdr2 is at the end, no one can deny that there is indeed many moments of glorification, such as storming the Braithway Manor with everyone. But in rdr1, there is no moments like this.
The majority of the story is devoid of hope, even the side missions mostly consist of dark and gloomy story's that only make you feel worse for being In such a vile world.
From saving an abused prostitute only for her to be killed anyway, to finding a cannibal in the wilderness who's killed innocent folk, to trying to help a lost man only for him to die alone and dehydrated in the wilderness, to searching flowers for a good husband only to find out his wife was dead for years and he was living with her corpse under a delusion she was still alive, to stumbling upon an old distressed woman that you eventually realise had been stood up by her fiance decades ago which drove her too insanity, to killing an innocent man in a duel due to a scumbag woman lying to you, to watching a man fall to his death with a flying invention he thought would work, to helping a man who commits beastiality with a horse
All of these are the side missions in rdr1, and their all very dark and hopeless. The majority of rdr1s content is gloomy and depressing, there is never a sence of happiness in them. Compare this to rdr2, where while there can be some dark side content, also has alot of happy and silly content too.
Even Irish, one of the only rare characters that's semi silly and meant for laughs, has a very dark and tragic end. When you find out in a newspaper that he tragically blew his own brains out accidentally in an outhouse while drunk with a revolver. Sure Seth Briars has a kind of happy end, when you find out through a newspaper that he became rich. But this is Seth we are talking about, the delusional mad grave robber who was a likely necrophile and a man who was completely fine with the prospect of torturing someone with a knife. It definitely doesn't feel good that a man like that gained a large sum of money.
My point is, the atmosphere in rdr1 is dark, depressing, gloomy and vile. There's never a sence of hope in this game, never any glorification or any moments of happiness. Its a disgusting vile atmosphere where no one's life is valued and the majority of people get the short end of the stick. Rdr2 certainly has moments similar to this, I'm in no way saying that rdr2 isn't serious or depressing, because it is. All I'm saying is, rdr1s atmosphere is completely void of anything else than rdr2 offers and thats why I love it so much. Its bleak, dark and vile.

Soul switching: So when one soul take control of the body the body change appearance and gender and they can also take the appearance of the other soul if they want but don't really do it except for reproduction
Death: after thousands of years the shoga found a way to prevent their death and make themselves immortal and without a finality. This is the reason why Finality came on their planet and made Cookie
The queen: Mai was made by selective breeding and genetic engineering so that she would be the peak of their race, and they succeeded. She's strong enough to take over dozens of solar systems in a day but what they didn't anticipate was that she would be a pacifist. Her ability to see and feel the soul of other is so strong that she basically feel it when anyone dies in big radius from her so she knows how death feels and don't really wants to inflict that on other so their creation kind of back fired and the shoga's laws and politics completely changed.
Cookie and Chip: They're kind of a special case but to put it in simple way they both have half of finality existence and shoga DNA that makes chip a little shorter than other shoga and a bit less muscular. Chip's power is way beyond her mom as she exists to eradicate the whole race including her mom and she's not really a pacifist like her mom because of Finality's existence inside of her making her a little antipathic to other people's pain and sees it as a game and she knows her purpose.

So for starters I work in a sportsbook attached to a bar. Yesterday was the 2nd leg of the triple crown and the Fury/Usyk fight. When there's big events like this on it always brings in new customers, many who just wonder in because they can't believe they can actually legally gamble inside a sports bar. I've been working in Sportsbooks for over a year and I've kinda gotten used to the normal questions that come on days like these.
While it is the Preakness our Sportsbook doesn't offer horse racing. To save people from wasting time who are interested in betting horses I have posted a sign at the front of the door that clearly states we do not offer horse racing, and to bet online if they are trying to get Preakness bets in. Then in walks the boomer...
The problems start immediately at the door. Everyone who walks in the sportsbook must show ID to security. It doesn't matter if you're a regular who's in everyday or if it's your first time, it's required to make sure you're over 21, and to make sure you aren't banned from the property, or self excluded from gambling and we are extremely strict about it.
The boomer tries to walk right past our security and right to me because he's got questions. My security cuts him off immediately.
Security: Excuse me sir I need to see your ID
BB: Whaaat? My ID? You can't tell I'm over 21? I'm more than 21 x3
Security: I can see that sir, I still need your ID
BB: oh man you need a couple vials of blood too?
Security: No sir just your ID is fine
Boomer proceeds to take a solid 2 mins just to wrangle his ID out of his wallet. Security checks it, proceeds to give it back and the boomer then heads to me.
Starts by telling me how this is his first time and wants to know some information...great what's up man. Asks if we have business cards or brochures. I say no. His face starts to get a little red. He asks how he's supposed to get any information on the place. I politely told him his phone. Which he was holding in his hand out of his side holster. Face starts to get a little more red and proceeds to give me a speech about how cell phones don't always work and then told me we should really have physical literature for people who don't get on their phone. Sure thing sir I'll keep that in mind, anything else?
Asks me the stores hours for everyday of the week. I start to tell him but wait he's gotta write it down. Proceeds to take my security's sticky notes without asking that he has things already written on. I stop him immediately and say sir give that back (like I'm talking to a child). I take one sticky note and hand it to him. He gets smart and says "oh you sure it's ok I have this one ha ha ha" I give him the hours. He then asks what other locations we have, I tell him.
Finally after this dickhead has managed to piss me, my ticket taker, and security all off in a 5 minute span he finally starts to place a bet....what does this motherfucker start with? Take a guess? Oh well I wanna bet Mystic Dan to place... fucking horse racing. I let go that he walked past a sign directly in his eye line that says we don't have horse racing, and politely said "I'm sorry sir we don't offer horse racing here.
BB: Whaaat? How can you not have horse racing the Preakness is on.
Me: We don't have the license to offer horse racing sir
BB: Why?
Me: That's above me sir
BB: 😡
The boomer fucks off and hangs out at the bar for a few minutes. He walks back in while my ticket taker and I are assisting another customer. He walks right up to security and asks him to look up a round o/u on the Fury/Usyk fight.
Security: No sir I don't do that I'm security, you'll have to wait till they're done assisting this customer.
BB: 😡
We finally get to him. Places a $20 fucking dollar bet after all his bullshit. $20 fucking dollars. I tell him have a great day with a smile, 30 minutes later his bet loses and all is good in the world.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
Then comes episode 2, where the heroes discuss future stakes, preparing for the Long Night, and what comes after the battle if it happens. Jon reveals the secret to Daenerys, who doesn't seem pleased to hear it. In short, nothing happens in this episode, it's boring.
"All my life, I've known one goal: the Iron Throne. Taking it back from the people who destroyed my family, and almost destroyed yours. My war was against them. Until I met Jon. Now I'm here, half a world away, fighting Jon's war alongside him. Tell me, who manipulated whom ?"

The Long Night
Finally, the famous battle of the Long Night. We just see the Dothraki charging with flaming swords into the darkness, and then nothing. Everything is dark. We can't see anything. Maybe Daenerys at some point tries to roast the Night King, but it's unclear. Everything is black, everything is darkness and gloom.

The Last of the Starks
After the credits, Jon Snow is giving a heartfelt speech for the fallen in the battle. Since we didn't see anything I suppose they won, probably because Jon finally killed the Night King and they are celebrating, but Daenerys is visibly disappointed that Arya is the hero of Winterfell, and she's upset that Jon refuses to cuddle with her because of the secret. She doesn't want Jon to talk about the secret because she doesn't want people to know they're engaging in incestuous cuddles. I think.

Anyway, it's very disappointing that the war against the zombies is already over; we should have had a whole season of the Long Night, in darkness and gloom, with an episode solely focused on strategy and the use of trebuchets. And then, when the heroes finally set out to take down Cersei, Daenerys falls into a lame, obvious, and avoidable ambush. Rhaegal dies stupidly, and Missandei is captured, then executed. Tyrion fails to save her, Cersei wins the final Lannister duel, and she angers the Dragon Queen enough to push her over the edge. In short, all of this was rushed and poorly written, nothing makes sense, I am shocked and angry. It's unfair. It's not right.

The Bells

The penultimate episode of the series begins with a letter. Varys wants to inform that Jon is the heir to the throne; he betrays the queen. In mourning, with Tyrion, Daenerys only talks about the secret about Jon. It's the end, Act V of the play, the young tragic princess is lost, and the comedic archetype can't help her, it's too late, it doesn't matter now.
"- Yes, she trusts you. She trusted you to spread secrets that could destroy your own queen. And you did not let her down.
- If I have failed you, my queen, forgive me. Our intentions were good. We wanted what you want. A better world, all of us. Varys as much as anyone. But it doesn’t matter now.
- No. It doesn’t matter now."
An extremely poorly written dialogue, obviously, probably one of the worst-written dialogues in the history of theater, cinema, and television. In my opinion, far too convoluted and boring, far too tragic for a TV series.

Then the Unsullied come to arrest Varys, and he is sentenced to death.

  • Cersei should have won the battle; she had the scorpions, the Iron Fleet, and the Golden Company, and it was the logical continuation from the end of episode 4. However, it's worth mentioning that she had no elephants, which undoubtedly tipped the battle in favor of Daenerys and her dragon.
"I am not your little princess. I am Daenerys Stormborn of the blood of Old Valyria, and I will take what is mine. With fire and blood, I will take it."
  • Daenerys goes mad in two seconds. She has defeated Cersei, the bells signal the end of the battle, she must decide how to deal with the final obstacle, the last step before the throne. So she kills the people who love Jon Snow and who don't love her, all because she wants to secretly kiss Jon. All these seasons, adventures, battles, endless moral dilemmas over ten years, all for it to end with a simple tragic love triangle. Truly, probably the worst episode of the saga and of history, so rushed and poorly written; everyone knows that characters must go mad talking to themselves in front of a mirror, not silently in a realistic and brutal way, otherwise the viewer is confused and lost outside their comfort zone.

"The things I do for love."
  • Jaime reuniting with Cersei is probably the worst conclusion for these two characters. The writers clearly didn’t understand their own story. Jaime's arc was about redemption, like Theon, exactly the same. The fact that Brienne fills the White Book of the Kingsguard with the line "Died protecting his queen." the most honorable death for a Kingsguard commander, doesn't matter, it's fanservice, lazy writing. Jaime should have stayed in the North and made baby Jaimes with Brienne. Jaime was supposed to save the world, not save Cersei. It's so sad; they only think about themselves and their children, Jaime and Cersei, nothing else matters.

  • Jon is useless; he can't do anything, and yet, all this chaos is his fault too. Daenerys had told him not to tell others his secret. Jon understands nothing, he knows nothing, and so do we, immersed in the chaos and ignorance along with the inhabitants of King's Landing. It should have been an epic and glorious battle. War must be epic and glorious. We wanted epic, glorious fire and blood, not fire bloody and burning blood. It should have been a spectacle, not a terrible massacre. Is war despicable and out of control ? We wanted elephants, not dead children.

  • Euron Greyjoy is unbearable, as usual. It's as if they designed this character specifically to annoy us. He has no place in this story; he's just obnoxious. He destroyed Daenerys and Jaime, and he didn't deserve that honor. He's far too arrogant and not funny at all.

"Fire !"
  • The fight between The Hound and The Mountain is great. Finally, something perfect in this episode. The Frankenstein's monster rebelling and destroying his creator in a fit of rage, Sandor Clegane finally getting his revenge, Cersei walking by indifferently. It was epic, glorious, and hilarious. There's even light breaking through the crumbling wall at the end, showing the way out and the solution for Sandor, just like in a Zelda game. Very straightforward, no questions left unanswered, no mystery.

"Go home, girl."
  • Arya overuses the hero's shield in this episode. She says goodbye to Clegane, who tells her to go home, and then the apocalypse descends on her. She gets hit by falling debris in the streets, trampled by the crowd, the bell tower collapses on her... yet she gets up each time after a black screen and the sound of a cannon. She's just meters away from the devastation and the dragon's fire, close to the terrified and helpless citizens like her, and despite the piercing, chilling violins of death, she rises again, amid the embers and ruins. The little girl and her mother are burned, turned into statues of ash breaking in the wind, while Arya and a mysterious white horse survive the end times and emerge from hell together. Unless Arya is a cat with nine lives, all of this is just plot armor, it makes no sense.

The Iron Throne

The last episode, after the bells. So this is how it ends. Daenerys has triumphed, Tyrion has realized his mistake, is imprisoned again, and makes Jon understand in one final conversation that he must choose, between his sisters and Dany, between the Starks and the Targaryens, between love and duty. It's all so tragic. Daenerys finally came home, the legend has triumphed, the dream has become reality. And then the prince steps forward, still plagued by doubt, imploring the young princess to cease her quest for power, to forgive. And Dany's words have meaning, echoing those Tyrion spoke to Jon. The fallen hero then understands that he cannot save both the world and the princess. The long tirades echo high in the halls of the kings who are gone, and the fallen hero murders his lover, not out of ambition for the throne, not out of anger or vengeance, but out of love for his sisters and the people. The tyrant is dead, sadly concluding the dramatic journey of a young innocent orphan that no hero could manage to save.
"When I was a girl, my brother told me it was made with one thousand swords from Aegon's fallen enemies. What do one thousand look like in the mind of a little girl who can't count to twenty ? I imagined a mountain of swords too high to climb. So many fallen enemies, you could only see the soles of Aegon's feet."

Jon left the throne empty, accepting his judgment and the punishment of the dragon. Thus were extinguished the last Targaryens, in front of the object of all conflicts, high under the sky, above mortals, together. But Jon has a hero's shield too, so I imagine there's a chip scratching Drogon behind a wing, and thus he misses his shot and destroys the walls. And then the chip jumps onto the throne, so Drogon destroys the throne and the chip but he was too tired for Jon afterwards. Such lazy writing, utterly senseless, just for the symbolism of the dragon destroying the throne, the object of all the passions and dramas of this world, a satire of power and conclusion of the story.
"I told you it's difficult to explain."
Obvious fanservice, nothing complex or mysterious. But we don't know where Drogon is taking Daenerys, she has no mortal tomb. The mystery completes the legend, this girl was a shooting star until the end.
"I have been sold like a broodmare. I’ve been chained and betrayed, raped and defiled. Do you know what kept me standing through all those years in exile ? Faith. Not in any gods, not in myths and legends, in myself. In Daenerys Targaryen."

And to conclude, the council scene, a calm yet very rushed and poorly written moment, as everyone knows. It's certainly officially announced by professionals somewhere. Once again, the creators understood nothing about the story and the audience's expectations.
Nothing funny, nothing complicated, nothing secretive, but the worst part is Bran's choice, it's not good, it's illegal, he cheated.
Then the beautiful visuals, the surviving Starks, and Ramin Djawadi's magnificent music for the last five minutes and the final credits, pure happy ending, pure fanservice, it's an absolute failure, the worst series finale in history, it's obviously a dox..., sorry, a well-known consensus. It's all a mix of fan service, bad writing, and being rushed, extremely well-balanced. GRRM would certainly have wanted at least three more seasons to properly tell the final scene between Jon and Daenerys.
So much wasted potential, D&D sacrificed the ending of the greatest series in history for Star Wars contracts they didn't even get. It's a scandal. Thankfully, no one talks about GoT anymore since that ending, except to reminisce about the golden age of season 4 and the seasons before.
Everyone agrees, it's a fact. It is known. GoT's ending is a beautiful disaster.
