In March of this year I got into a small fender bender whilst being uninsured. I was 17 at the time and am now 18. I got a letter today stating that on June 28th my license will be suspended for a year (until June 28, 2025). This is the first offense / accident on my record and I was wondering if a year suspension is inaccurate. I saw through multiple sources that a DUI has a first time automatic suspension of 6 months.
I want to note that while the accident was extremely minor, the damages did equate to over $1000 because the other driver wanted the paint damage to be professionally repaired back to 'pristine' condition (It's a 8-12 inch wide, 1 inch tall scratch on his passenger door).
Because I don't have insurance, his insurance company has told the DMV that I'm at fault for the incident. I'm not sure if this weighs anything on my punishment or not but the accident happened while we were both merging, which I've heard is often a no fault scenario.
Most internships for the career I'm pursuing require you to have a vehicle, and I want to know if I should request a hearing even though I know I wasn't insured. I'm currently in the process of selling that car and buying a reliable car that would actually pass smog.

Some family context: I have a big family on my dad's side. There's been two waves of kids, the older wave (me, mostly a few immediate cousins, and a second cousin) and the younger one (a couple different relationships, I'm not going into it). Throughout both waves the parents of my cousins (blanket family term) really have shown they don't really give attention to or love their kids but they give them almost everything they want. Typical spoiled kids who like to bully. Their parents don't like confrontation and just pretend their kids are perfect angels. My grandma, who we live with, watches everyone's kids.
My (16f) brother (5m) has been being bullied by his cousin's and a neighbor's kid. My aunt's kid and the neighbor's kid are around 6 years old and the other cousin is about 4 (In order, I'll assign them the initials A, B, and C). C will do anything to get my brother in trouble and often hits him. My brother sometimes mimicks his behavior, which is frustrating. The other two will get along fine with him by themselves... But bully him while they or other kids are together.
Just today, A and B were excluding my brother for no reason. I know kids will exclude kids that bother them but they would be playing fine and if my brother stepped out they would move away if he tried to come back and play. All three like to play fight, A and B would be roughhousing as usual but if my brother even tapped B just to get his attention, B would complain about him hitting him. B would claim my brother was hitting him with a toy bat even though my mom was watching the whole time and B wasn't anywhere near my brother. Then B turns around and is hitting the pool water in front of my brother, inches from his face. Then A and B took a spiderman doll and said "Imagine if this was (my brother's name)" and they start beating it up. If my mom or sister said anything, A and B would start whispering to each other. They lie constantly, even if you're sitting there watching them the whole time. The amount of times ANYONE asks them to stop something and they hear "I wasn't doing anything." is exhausting.
This is all really frustrating to me, it's breaking my heart. Growing up in the first wave, me and my sister were treated the same way, in fact my cousin's often got violent. Now my brother is being treated like this and it's already affecting him. He threw a big tantrum after everyone but A went home. When we talked about it he said B was being mean to him and I could tell he was really frustrated. Makes me want to cry, I don't know what it is about me, my siblings, and my mom that make people treat us this way. We're always outcast in everything, I feel like it's because my dad's family just doesn't like my mom cause of how she was in highschool and my childhood. But I want to help my brother not turn out with the issues we have because of it.
Like I said, we live with our grandparents and babysitting is my grandmother's source of income. My dad's gonna try to talk to their parents but like I said, they don't really care. Everyone else writes it off, if we say anything to make them stop, my grandmother tells the kids we're being mean. B also doesn't listen to women because of how his mother was. Apparently, I had to go through Lexus Nexus to get this dispute started, but what else can I do? Long story short short a few years ago I dropped my wallet in a gas station. It had my social it had my drivers license, I changed my drivers license number, but you can’t really change your social but maybe now I can considering, the circumstances. The only reason I would want to change it is because the person who raised me is an evil child molester, I was the child, my mother, and she has my drivers license/Social Security number.

And it comes up with some weird name, too, when I look up the Vin number I can’t find out how to decode it, because the website says that it doesn’t exist. And when I look it up, the Vin number pulls up some brand new pick up truck.
Did this person go to like Mexico or something and use my identity? The Vin number starts with the L.

At the age of 10-11, I created a religion. Some context: I grew up in a religious household. As a kid, I was always obsessed with the Old Testament of the Bible. On my playground, different kids created different countries, and this religion is kind of based around the country that I created with about 20 other kids (who also “followed” the religion). I wrote the holy book for this religion in a notebook, although the original was destroyed by my mom after she found out about my escapades. This is from a copy I made about a week before that. Here is the holy book in full (with some fixed spelling and grammar):
“Zelmoni Testament to the Great One
Book of the Histories
Before all, there was only loose material, and The Great Dragon [1]. So, as he is supreme, The Great One commanded the loose material to form itself together. The surface created was the land. It was so. Next, He commanded a patch of that land to rise from among its brethren. It was so. The land became man. The Great One said unto him:

 “It is your duty to watch over my seed, my eggs, and protect them.” 

Man understood. And as a gift for his understanding, woman was brought upon him. It was at this point that conflict began to arise within The Great One, and he was split in two. The Red One emerged from the split, as he did not want there to be more than one Dragon. He vowed to fight The Great One every night, and as a result of this split The Great One wept for 12 years. Due to this, the world was granted the waters. “You must pray to me, and commit sacrifice to nourish me.”, said The Great One unto man and his children. They listened, and as a gift they were granted a permanent reminder of His presence, the clouds. Time was then also split in two, with the day being for The Great One and night for The Red One. Man complied. And as a gift for man’s compliance, The Holy Land [2] was opened up, and Man and his children could pass into it. By the 37th generation of man, they had given up on aiding The Great One. They turned to false prophets and idols, and slowly the Red One began to take hold. The world was plunged into infinite darkness in 3 generations, and the snow ceased. Man was miserable and thirsty, so they cried out:

 “Oh, Lord of our ancestors! Return the light to us, and return us to the light!” The Great One appeared to them, saying: “You have not known me, so I have become weak. I require a sacrifice of significant proportion to return to life, to ruling over it.” That week, many animals were sacrificed, and light returned on the face of the earth. It is due to this sacrifice that The Great One was able to live without worship for many years. 

The New Revelation
The nightly battles raged on, and as the source of energy was depleted, and the darkness began to set over the land once again. It was now 2017, and a new people inhabited His once-holy ground. On this ground now stood an elementary school, and it was time for his eggs to be caked upon the land once again. As it did, Ben, Devon, and I stood on a hill, watching the snowflakes fall. In grand sequence, The Great One appeared and warned them of the impending darkness.

 “Gather my eggs, compound and protect them. Make sacrifice, of souls or of material energy to your Lord.” 

We understood, and as a gift for our understanding the Holy Land was given to them. This land was dubbed Zelmon, although the name’s meaning is unknown. We began to tell our classmates about this revelation, and many came to Zelmon to worship. Upon the truth spreading, a group of heretics emerged from the Holy Land and split off on their own. They believed The Red One was right in his assertion that there should be only one Dragon. They formed the nation of Yaga, and they prayed to bring the darkness over the world once again. Upon learning about this, I commanded all followers to sneak their lunch in their pockets, and bring it to the altar of Zelmon. A large amount was sacrificed that day and Zelmon went to war with Yaga. The fighting was swift, as the sacrifice was so large, and Zelmon emerged victorious. The people of Yaga were brought back to Zelmon and forced to worship The Great One, but some escaped and continued to worship The Red One. In dedication to our victory, to His victory, the Great Temple at White Stream was built. There, eggs would be stored and an altar was built from ice. This temple did not last long, however, as the worshippers of The Red One destroyed the eggs, made sacrifice to The Red One, and then dismantled the temple. As a result, the land was tainted and the Zelmonis had to withdraw to The Holy Hills once again. The group who destroyed the temple were eternally cursed with failure in human institution. The last time The Great One spoke with us was in late 2018, when He ordered that the energy of human pain be delivered to Him. He needed this energy due to the recent curse, and no other kind would suffice. I walked to the Altar, washed, and cut the palm of my hand. I spread the blood across the top of the altar. The Great One then said to me:

 “Do not worry, for your great sacrifice will last for 20 more years.” 

The Afterlife
When we die, we are delivered back to The Great One. There, we will fight with him against The Red One until there is only light. When we are sent to The Great One, we are reborn within him and thus sent down in the season of the Lord as eggs. When we rise back to the sky above, we are born as Dragons, although not as powerful as The Great One. This is why the duty of sacrifice must not be forgotten, for if the darkness does take over the world and The Red One triumphs, then all souls will be destroyed due to his desire to be the only Dragon.
Sacrificial Instructions
You must build an altar. The altar does not have to be in any specific dimensions, but should stand at least 6 feet from any other object in the room or area. The altars of ice were platforms of about 2 feet in height, with the area around a few inches of the altar were cut about 1 inch inward on all sides, separating the bottom and top pieces. The top piece has an indent where the sacrifices are placed.
If sacrifice of the soul is being committed, the animal must be brought to the altar either alive or at the very least intact. The animal is to be rested upon the indent and it’s through cut, allowing the blood to run down the altar. If the animal is large, simply rest the head upon the indent and slit the throat.
If sacrifice of material energy is being committed, place the object(s) in the indent and pour water on the offering. Then, leave it.
If sacrifice of human pain is being committed, rest the limb upon the indent and make the prick so that the blood runs down the altar. If the sacrifice involves the breaking of a limb, you may break the limb prior to resting it on the altar, but if this is done blood must be drawn so it runs down the altar.
In 2038, another sacrifice will be required, lest we get plunged into eternal darkness once more. It is recommended that we start before then, though, because the consequences will be noticeable in the near future. Let’s just keep things as they should be: engulfed in light.
Also, you must wash your hands before sacrifice, so that it is accepted by The Great One.

I need to choose between a 15 inch 2019 6 core intel i7 and a 14 inch 2021 M1 Pro for my photo/video editing classes, what one should i pick?

Here’s my 21 inch vertical jump at 21 years old (5’6). I was a chubby unathletic kid all through high school but began lifting and training mma after a real rough patch at 19. It is just so expensive to eat at a restaurant lately. I’ve been to multiple places and just their basic burger with fries are 17.99 and that doesn’t even include the drink and tip.
Pre-pandemic I went to subway all the time and got a 6 inch sub, chips, drink, 3 cookies for in the 9 dollar range. I went the other day and got a 6 inch ham (cheaper), chips, drink, and didn’t get the cookies and paid 15 something.
Obviously I would rather support a local restaurant over a chain but it’s getting crazy. Where can you go to get a lot of grub for not a lot of money? Does it even exist here?

I stumbled across this sub a little while back and didn’t think much about it until I was reminded of it. I don’t have many people in my life whom I’ve told about it who are very enthusiastic about my loss (I know that many people probably would think “yeah, it’s 5.5 lbs, but you have way longer to go”, which is true, but I’m trying to celebrate my little milestone to encourage myself), so I thought I’d share here.
At my heaviest, I was 250 (5’6” afab) – I had gotten to that point while in college, which was a very dark time for me. After graduating, I switched from a sedentary job to working on the ramp at my airport. In the process I lost 60 lbs, but ended up gaining most of it back as I wasn’t being intentional about it and thought along the lines of “oh, cool! I can just work this job and eat whatever and I’ll be fine”, without realizing that that would not, in fact, work.
I went to the doctor on May 1st for a check up and to get my prescription renewed, and when I saw 240 on the scale, it was a wake up call for me. I started by trying to pay more attention to how many calories I consume vs how many I burn, started taking walks with a friend, and two weeks later I bought a scale for my bathroom and have been weighing every morning. I’ve been tracking my calories (which I was very nervous about at first, as I had an extremely unhealthy attitude towards calorie counting in high school), and I think the biggest thing is that I haven’t changed much of what I eat as compared to how much. I also bought a ninja creami (which I was super excited to use this morning until I realized that the machine doesn’t turn on at all, so I’m getting a replacement sent in), so I’ll hopefully be able to have healthier (and more protein) ice cream (and I’m excited to try the sorbet function).
Anyways, the numbers: I first weighed myself the day after I bought the scale, and it read 232.9. Today I’m at 226.7! I also used the measuring tape that came with the scale to try and get an idea of how much fat I’m losing from my stomach (which is where it’s most noticeable imo) – on the 21st, my waist was about 40”, and my widest part (about an inch above my belly button) was about 48”. This morning they were ~39” and ~45” respectively. It felt amazing to hold the tape at 48” and see that difference! (I also just looked at my scale’s app, and according to it, I’m also down one full number on the BMI scale!)
Anyways, I just wanted to share and hope that I can keep with this. I’m thankful to have my mom and friend cheer me on. My mom has been trying to lose weight for years, and my friend has been trying to get back into shape, so for the first time ever, I have an accountability buddy! We’ve been walking a little under 3 miles every day, and today we did our usual route plus a lap around our building to get to 3.02 miles, which is a new record for me (at least as far as tracking via the fitness app on my watch).

In P4, Cole had a quick sit-down with Denise. He defended his decision to involve Agent Tammy Preston in the investigation.

Cole: "Agent Tammy Preston has the stuff, Denise."

As usual, this didn't sound like that important to think about. Later in P13, Bobby went to get dinner in RR Diner. He told Ed and Norma they got some stuff, too.

Ed: "What's new, Deputy?" Bobby: "Oh, well, we, uh, found some stuff that my dad left today."

Earlier in P9, the deputies opened a small metal tube left behind by Bobby's father, Major Briggs, revealing cryptic instructions. Ed suggested we needed to give this a good thought.

Ed: "What kind of stuff?"

A kind of stuff is private property. Another word for that is possession. Another kind of possession is a supernatural event when an intrusive spirit dominates another being, something that Twin Peaks has been all about. Going forward, let's keep this in mind.
If it was necessary to figure out the "stuff" to make sense of the plot, Tammy would have had something which was equal to what the Major had left for the deputies. The most personal scene of her otherwise detached character was in P5. She was sitting by herself in her cubicle, going through some stuff. Maybe the stuff we needed to find was somewhere there. Among other stuff.
Connecting to what the deputies found from inside the metal tube was Tammy holding two pictures of Cooper. Left, she had a picture of the young agent in his fancy FBI suit. Right, she had the picture of Cooper's aged doppelganger.
We had seen the same doppelganger picture already an episode earlier when the FBI visited Yankton Federal Prison. Inspector Randy Hollister displayed the picture on a large screen, along with all sort of chaotic information about Cooper.
Two Coopers, one with 66.
The scale next to Mr C's head gave his height as 75 inches, 6"3, which could not possibly have been correct. The inconsistency may have suggested there was something in that scale we needed to notice. In the middle of his head, there was a black line pointing to number 66. That was also included in a closeup of the mugshot that was shown when the FBI went to interview the detained man.
Another kind of two Coopers were on the second slip of paper that the deputies recovered from the tube. Written in the middle of it, there was the text, "COOPECOOPER". So as not to miss the idea here, Hawk spelled it out for us.

Hawk: "Two Coopers!"

Next to the right-side COOPER, there was number 66, connecting it to the doppelganger's picture both on the prison's screen and in Tammy's right hand.
All doppelgangers that we saw in the Black Lodge appeared as a kind of one-trick ponies that clearly were not capable of any meaningful operation on their own. This also applied to Cooper's doppelganger. When he made an entry in the season 2 finale, he struggled to even get the curtains open. But all of a sudden, the doppelganger turned into a completely controlled being with a clear plan and a purpose.
Earle got the stuff first.
As BOB had moments before taken Windom Earle's soul from his old body, we probably needed to put these things together so that what happened was BOB possessing the mindless doppelganger with Earle's spirit. Without the possession, the doppelganger would have been useless, but now its plan was likely the Earle's plan. Another kind of possession being stuff, like discussed, we'd start to get an understanding what having this specific stuff would have been all about.
This then takes us to P6 when Richard Horne had an early morning meeting with a nameless newcomer credited as the color Red. When the scene at the sawmill started, Richard was consuming something, off screen. We assumed he had taken some kind of drug, but whatever it was, a moment later it started to have an impact on him.

Richard: "Shit. Oh, tha ... this stuff kicks!"

As the scene progressed, Richard had increasing troubles with reality, as if he was moving towards some kind of climactic moment. Even if the scene cut before that happened, some magic was already dripping through to the world when Red's coin stopped respecting the laws of nature.
Richard got kicked by the stuff.
Much later in P15, Richard held Mr C at gunpoint in front of the Convenience Store. Effortlessly, the doppelganger took the gun from his hand, hit him in the face and then gave him a nasty kicking as he was lying on the ground.
This stuff kicks. Richard also got a kicking from Cooper's doppelganger. What was really happening to him in that warehouse?
Before Richard got beaten, he talked about his mother.

Richard: "You're FBI." Mr C: "How do you figure that?" Richard: "'Cause I seen your picture in your fancy FBI suit."

Going back to Red, just as Richard felt the "stuff" kicking him, Red gave him one of his confusing remarks.

Red: "Have you ever studied your hand?"

Study the hands.
These lines would find their purpose in P5 when Tammy Preston was watching the old photograph of Cooper in his fancy FBI suit. The scene started with a closeup of her holding the picture. Something was wrong, though, as the hands clearly were not her hands that we got a good close-up of later in P7. They might have been Richard's hands, with a suggestion this was the very photograph he was talking about.
That this was the intended approach was further implied by Tammy keenly studying doppelganger's fingerprints - that is, his hands. This way, Richard and his "stuff" would also lead to two Coopers.
These observations would now give their own kind of wild explanation to an earlier baffling idea that the scene between Red and Richard actually continued in P2, with Red now as Jack the garageman and Richard having turned into Mr C, ready to get going with the black Lincoln Town Car and apparently about to kill Jack next.
Richard's abrupt change would have been possible because the "stuff" that he had taken was Cooper's doppelganger, literally transforming him into Mr C. While Richard and Red talked, the younger man would have gradually disconnected from his present reality and drifted to another world where he would possess the doppelganger. Everything else would have changed as well, with Red turning into Jack and his expensive Rolex into the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S 550 Coupé he had in the garage, the apparent counterpart for the sawmill warehouse.
If this was figured out as intended, at certain points in the story, both Tammy and Sheriff Truman had the doppelganger in their possession, respectively, she as a photograph and him as a name on a piece of paper, with Lynch's storytelling again abstracting characters and concepts to the extreme. This would align with an earlier conclusion that both Red and the Sheriff were the same character - ultimately none other than Phillip Jeffries - explaining how Red got the doppelganger he seems to have then given to Richard for a ride, for whatever hidden reason that then was. At that point, it would naturally have been vacated of Windom Earle, this or that way.
How about Tammy and her "stuff" then? She would also have had Cooper's doppelganger right there with her in the cubicle, suggesting her character was more than an FBI agent. Perhaps she got a taste of him as well, implied by the scene ending with her lifting her right hand to her mouth that after a cut inconsistently changed to her left hand.
Or, perhaps she suddenly started to feel a bit carsick and would soon need both of her hands over her mouth.
