I acquired this unit recently and got it working and since it’s so hard to find info or video of a working VP2 I figured I’d post here for posterity sake. Also there were some folks in another thread who seemed interested.

https://imgur.com/a/VY7Uvw5 I couldn’t find a manual online so I taught myself how to do all the basic tasks, character editing, palette animation, auto display. The one thing I can’t figure out is if the unit does keying using the video input within the machine itself. I can only get it to work using the Key Out connector in to my Sony mixer’s EXT KEY IN. I can’t get it to work within the VP2, even though I see the video and the Key Color is set - there’s no text overlay. Did it ever have this functionality? Unfortunately, it only had one font chip. But hey it works! The only motion I can figure out is scrolling up.
