2010.09.05 20:30 nifoc /r/Louie: Louis CK's FX television series

This subreddit is dedicated to discussing Louis CK's FX series "Louie". Louie is an American comedy-drama TV series on the FX network. It is written, directed, edited and produced by show creator stand-up comic Louis C.K., who stars as a fictionalized version of himself, a comedian and divorced father raising his 2 daughters in New York City. The show has a loose format atypical for TV comedies, consisting of "extended vignettes" revolving around Louie's life, punctuated by live stand-up.

FICO score: 673
Oldest Account Age: 6yrs 1 month
Chase Status : 4/24
Income: $40,000+
Average monthly spent categories:
Rent: $1050
Groceries and Dining: ~$800
Gas: $100
Car insurance: $785 for 6 months for 2cars
Internet: $70
Others: oil change etc: $200-300
Open to Business cards: No
Whats the purpose of your next card?
-There are still categories I have not covered. E.g no 2% card
Do you have any cards you’ve been looking at?
-Yes! Ive got selected for the paypal 2% cc which gives back 3% with paypal purchases. My offer is a sign up bonus of $150 after spending $500. I have to pay car insurance in december (and I usually pay it in advance for 6months) and I could utilize the 3% there and knock out the sign-up bonus as well. This sounds great but I also saw Citi Double cash has an elevated sign up bonus of $200. I would like to slowly change my setup to a fully cashback setup ( apart from bilt) and I could use the 2% from citi and later on PC the double cash I assume for another Citi custom cash. My biggest dilemma is if I apply for one more, I will be 5/24 and I cant get the Chase Freedom Flex until next year december. The elevated offer for that card is still 5% gas and groceries and I could utilize the quarterly categories as well(sams club, target, paypal). About a month ago I did apply for the CFF but I got denied even after the reconsideration line because my credit score dropped and my amazon card was close to its limit(overall utilization between accounts is under 30%). I transfered some cc debt from a family member because the prime visa had a 2.99% balance transfer interest. I should be able to pay it all off by february but Im also not sure if I should wait or just try to apply for one of the 2% cards.
Are you okay with category spending or do you want a general spending card?
-I guess all three of those options are general spending but Im open for any other recommendations/suggestions.
