Be careful with this BIOS. Download HWiNFO64 and check your SoC voltage. It's overvolting like mad, and the negative offset is messed up so you have to give an extra -.1xx volts or so just to get it down low enough to be in the "safe" range.
These boards have always ran a bit high, i.e., 1.15v SoC. I believe after installing the lastest BIOS (3607), I was seeing 1.25+v, maybe it was 1.3v+. Either way, I know it was in the danger zone.
So, is the reading wrong or is it really overvolting by that much? I can't say. I can say that I used a negative offset that put me back down to 1.075v according to HWiNFO and I'm stable. I don't believe I'd be stable if it was just a wrong reading because I am running 2x16GB DDR4 3600 C16 dual rank RAM with tuned sub timings. Considering that it's "dual rank", it may as well be 4x8GB single rank sticks. Point being, with the offset I'm using, I would be below 1v, somewhere in the .95-.97v range and I don't believe I'd be stable with that low of an SoC with this RAM set up.
I was stable and all with it at the ~1.3v and all, but I mean, that's surely a quick death for the motherboard.
It makes me wonder if that's why I can't even download drivers from the Asus website right now. Are they going back through and swapping a new BIOS in for all the boards that got this AGESA 1.2.0.7 COMBO or whatever it is (my memory is slipping).
I'm running the Asus STRIX B550-F Gaming WiFi II with a 5900x and the RAM listed (G.Skill Ripjaws).
Just me? Or anyone else seeing crazy SoC voltages with this latest BIOS 3607?

About a week ago started having a problem where anytime I tried to use my headphones (corsair) and microphone (hyperx solocast) my settings in windows keep disconnecting and reconnecting.
Have tried: -Different USB ports (keyboard and mouse work in all. Headphones and mic don't. Headphones do work Bluetooth) -RepaiDelete/Download all Drivers -Ran basic scan commands from CMD -Windows Repair doesn't report problems -Redownloaded windows at least a few times -Rollback windows (this did work for a day. Computer auto updated windows. Problem happened again. Can't rollback again)
Audio DOES play from the monitor connected to the PC.

Posting this a day later but it has arrived. My first impressions of the Framework 16 are pretty good. I was afraid of seeing other posts about the gaps between the spaces, but I think mine didn't come with any major issues. I purchased a discrete GPU with this one and the base tier CPU.
Coming from a Dell Lattitude 5520 that had terrible viewing angles and battery life, I can use this laptop for three times longer. The 165 Hz panel is very smooth, and the viewing angles are much better than my prior laptop.
Now, onto some complaints I have. The fans can get quite loud when not doing anything too intensive, like downloading a video file. Is there a way to tweak fan curves? I would rather lose performance than have a jet engine (I have the balanced power profile selected). The USB-A input modules were a bit finicky when they arrived. I couldn't plug stuff into it fully until I rotated my appliance up and down to get it to fit in. The fit is a bit better now that I have used it a couple of times.
One thing I found weird is that I cannot see the WiFi stats in the task manager's performance tab and couldn't really find a solution. If any of you know how to fix this, please let me know! I have installed the driver bundle and the updated bios provided by Framework.
Overall, I am pretty pleased with my purchase and will continue to use it in my daily life as well as in my college courses!

QuickBooks Pro 2019 on Windows 11 requires very specific printer settings to properly save PDF files. It actually uses the "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" to save PDF files, and it requires a specific version of the driver to work properly.
In the Add Printer wizard,

• Add a "local printer or network printer with manual settings"
• Use an existing port called "PORTPROMPT: (Local Port)"
• The driver must be "Microsoft XPS Document Writer v4". Do not use v2 or any other version. Click on "Windows Update" then wait several minutes for it to show a huge list of drivers. It appears to freeze when downloading and installing. Be patient and let the window close normally.

For whatever reason, if my ASUS laptop connects to the network through the Nighthawk it gets fluctuating internet speeds, extra packet loss, and packet loss when running download tests. My other laptop (MSI GL72 6QF) is connected to the Nighthawk as well, but does not have this problem at all. The ASUS has an Intel AX200 wifi chip with up to date drivers. I tried swapping the Wifi chip for a TP-Link AC1300 USB, but the problem persists. Its specifically the combo of the computer and the access point.
Any idea what's going on? This is driving me nuts...

i keep getting "File:\Boot\BCD Error Code:0xc000014c" ive tried a fresh install of windows 10 with a usb and it asks for drivers i downloaded them and it doesn't do anything when i install them.
i also tried installing linux mint from usb but my hard drive doesn't appear and i get errors or the installer crashes.
the hard drive still appears in device information if that means anything and i dont care about losing data i just want the laptop to be usable again.

Issue: Attempting to update / install NVIDIA graphics drivers causes my to lose signal, and I cannot get them to turn back on. The only thing that can get my monitors to display anything again is by wiping my SSD, and reinstalling windows. I cannot figure out what could be causing this issue.
Fixes I've Tried: Using DDU to completely wipe & install graphics drivers, reseating components, downloading the drivers directly off of NVIDIA's website as opposed to using GeForce Experience, swapping from DP to HDMI and updating the BIOS. I've also confirmed that the issue is NOT to do with the monitor / cables itself.

I've looked all over and the only answer I can find is "Just press f5 bro", which doesn't work. whenever i plug in my USB fight stick, there's already set keys on the keyboard that the buttons are bound to, including control, page up, page down, esc, and the print screen key. literally every button that i don't want to be pressed/ would turn off the game if pressed, has to be pressed, and, shocker, it turns off my game because medium kick, even after f5 reconfig, still maps to my keyboards Escape key. And there's 1 button with no keyboard assignment, that won't register on fight Cade. Do I need drivers? Did I miss part of the download? I'm pulling my hair out because no one seems to have this issue. Please, I need help. I Have a Hori fight stick RAP V fightstick .
Edit: I can get everything working fine with joytokey but heavy and medium kick buttons are still mapped as left and right click, so when I use them it minimizes the game, or sends me into a right click menu and pauses.

I'm a Citrix admin, not a SQL admin, but thanks to Broadcom buying VMWare, I've been directed to migrate our Citrix hypervisor setup from VMware, to Hyper-V + VMM. We don't really have an MSSQL expert, we just allow our users access to their own databases as needed with the right ACLs - other than that we mostly leave MSSQL alone. Until now... sigh.
First time setting up a VMM install. We have SQL Server 2016, which according to SCVMM 2022, is still supported, despite being old. Per the pre-install requirements here I installed "Microsoft Command Line Utilities 15 for SQL Server" and "Microsoft ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server" on the new VMM server. I hope those are the right versions for SQL Server 2016, but I couldn't find something more specific. I confirmed that running sqlcmd -? from cmd.exe shows me an output of version 15.0.4298.1 NT.
I have a service account set up, PRIMO\CitrixRunAs - I was going to use that account as the MSSQL service account.
I logged into MSSQL SSMS, and created a Security\Logins\ entry for PRIMO\CitrixRunAs. I then create a VirtualManagerDB with the settings that Microsoft requests at the bottom of this section, making sure to set the new aforementioned Login account as the Owner. The DB gets created, no problems.
Every time I install, I'm looking in the log "C:\ProgramData\vmmlogs\SetupWizard.log" to see what the issue is. As I walk through the steps of SCVMM setup, I'm not shown any missing prerequisite issues.
Here are some relevant items snipped out. There's a lot of stacktraces as well but that would make this post even longer....

Ensure service MSSQL$ is started by running "services.msc", find the service, and then verify that the service is started. 04:05:05:InnerException.Type: Microsoft.VirtualManager.DB.CarmineSqlException, InnerException.Message: Unable to connect to the VMM database because of a general database failure. 04:05:05:InnerException.Type: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException, InnerException.Message: User does not have permission to perform this action. 04:05:05:ProcessInstalls: Running the PostProcessDelegate for PangaeaServer failed.... This is a fatal item. Setting rollback. 

(rest of the log is just rollback items but one more stands out a few more lines down)

Ensure that the credentials provided are from an account with sufficient permissions to remove the VMM database, and then try the operation again. 

If I look at the database on the SQL server, and expand the Tables section, I can see that it populated it with tables. So clearly the account can do something but it's not enough for the VMM installer to be happy. I was thinking that if the issue was with the CitrixRunAs account not having access from the VMM server to the SQL server, no tables would be able to be written. This account should be the dbo for this database! I don't understand why it can't even remove the database it just wrote into.
I've done like a dozen broken installs of VMM today, followed by full uninstalls and manually deleting/remaking the SQL databases. On a whim for the final try, on the SQL server, I "granted the securable" of "create any database" to the CitrixRunAs account, and then during the VMM setup, told it to create a new database, rather than use existing. Sure enough, it still create the database just fine on the SQL server, as I'd hoped - but then gave the exact same errors listed above as when I told it to use an Existing database I'd already made. When I examined the database that had been created by the VMM setup process, it was exactly the same way I'd set up the previous databases - User Mapping of the VirutalManagerDB, User dbo, default schema dbo, etc. So comparing my manually created DB attempts with the VMM-created DB looks, at least at cursory glance to me, to be the same.
Perhaps my SQLCMD version is wrong for SQL Server 2016? I didn't think so, as I selected SQL Server 2016 in the left sidebar here and then installed the version 15 listed.
I'm no SQL expert and I'm running out of ideas on how to set this up the way I was hoping to!

After formatting my PC, what programs should I download (drivers, etc.)

Can someone explain why when I input these four commands sequentially into PowerShell:

It creates all this data per update unlike the first one where it just makes one line per update.
Anyone know why it does this? The syntax on both commands is the same.
