My thoughts on suspected COVID-induced gastritis

2024.05.17 04:57 Known-Tourist2769 My thoughts on suspected COVID-induced gastritis

I had COVID back in October 2020 and I've had gastritis ever since (much improved, now). Maybe these notes will help someone.
COVID-induced gastritis might be a combination of elevated eosinophils and/or histamine receptors in the stomach.
It feels different from other forms of gastritis based on what I've read. I have had 0 pain and 0 heartburn, but lots of nausea. It feels as though the lining of my stomach is swollen after eating.
Stress, intense exercise, and illness make my symptoms worse. My caloric intake was ~20% lower on days when I had respiratory infections.
PPIs are well validated in achieving histological remission for eosinophilic esophagitis but are not well studied for eosinophilic gastritis. PPIs were the most effective treatment for me (esomeprazole BID 5 months, followed by esomeprazole QD up to today)
Avoiding all common dietary allergens and eating a low histamine diet helps substantially. My biggest trigger foods are high in histamine or are histamine liberators (according to Mastzellaktivierung PDF). Gluten does not bother me and I've reintroduced it. Legumes and dairy are still problematic.
Vitamin C supplements (250mg QD) and H1 antagonists (cetirizine) helped - I did not assess them separately. Vitamin C aids in histamine metabolism.
Zinc carnosine did not help. Slippery elm had brief effect. H2 antagonists didn't offer consistent results according to my symptom scoring. Deglycyrrhizinated licorice extract did not help. Ginger root sometimes helped relieve bloat but I don't use it anymore. Collagen had no effect.

2024.05.16 20:49 Against_the_wind7 Confused about licorice

I have capsules of the non deglycyrrhizinated licorice I’m confused because I’m reading this can increase free cortisol in the body but also many use for sleep I want something to help with sleep Current regimen of valerian and melatonin isn’t working and I hate using anti histamine regularly just to sleep! Hygiene/caffeine use/stress all dialed in no changes other than longer days and early sunrise affects my patterns I’m super resistant to sedating supplements I.e my normal melatonin dose is 2.5 and now I’m at 5mg, valerian I’ve been bumping up too Any info is welcome!

2024.04.14 03:43 Nebulous_Inferno deglycyrrhizinated licorice and Isoliquiritigenin, can anyone do a comparison?

Has anyone tried deglycyrrhizinated licorice, apparently it isn't known to have the side effects of the non-deglycyrrhizinated licorice, and licorice contains both Isoliquiritigenin and other useful actives.
I'm especially interested on what kind of effect on the oral bioavailability of the Isoliquiritigenin full spectrum licorice (the DGL version, as the other version is known to raise cortisol, among other drawbacks) might have.
Finally, I wonder if ND might release a more full spectrum (DGL) licorice extract, especially if it would aid Isoliquiritigenin's bioavailability. Perhaps have a 10% Isoliquiritigenin extract?
u/pretty-chill, whaddya think?

2024.02.09 12:28 throwwwwaway396 Healed: Chronic Gastritis for 3.5 years

Hey guys. I posted here before a few months ago when I felt like I healed, but then I forgot my throwaway account pw and couldn't figure out which e-mail it was associated with. You guys asked questions and I couldn't answer, so I'll just keep this account since it's reddit-reset time anyways due to reddit shenanigans 😂
Onset: End of 2019
Felt healed: Roughly sometime by August of 2023.
Diagnoses: Chronic gastritis ("Light chronic gastritis"), diverticulitis, IBS
Other tests done: 1. H Pylori - negative
  1. Stool test - negative
  2. GI Map - waste of money. It shows a bunch of things out of whack but no clear direction except to pay your dietician to resell a bunch of name brand supplements
  3. Blood markers for Crohn's - positive. Suggestive of aggressive Crohn's (false positive; no signs of crohn's on biopsy, thank God).
  4. SIBO - positive. Took antibiotics, and it fixed my constipation but no impact on gastritis.
  5. 2 endoscopies and 2 colonoscopies: Light chronic gastritis, and diverticulitis.
  6. Pill endoscopy -- nothing new according to Dr. Don't remember the official results though.
Symptoms: 1. Epigastric pain. Stabbing, or dull, depending on how bad it was. 2. Burning. Epigastric. 3. Bloated. Like guts were swollen. At the onset in 2019 I went to the ER. They did some kind of a scan (don't remember anymore), and the nurse told me that everything looks so swollen that she was surprised that I was standing. 4. Initially, I had some belching, but that died down years later. 5. No appetite while inflamed. No nausea, EXCEPT for a brief period in 2023 when I finally started healing. Strange.. Maybe a coincidence, or maybe it was related.
Complications: I developed a pretty serious depression, and I'm still dealing with the fall out from it. Dealing with the pain ingrained this sense of hopelessness in me. But, I also think that the depression is piggy backing off of some other stuff in my life, unrelated to the stomach.. But stomach issues definitely left a mark on me.
I also lost a lot of weight. I went from 220 lbs to 164 lbs at my lowest. Currently I am about 200lbs.
What helped the pain: 1. Slippery Elm. Mix 1-2 tablespoons of it with a bit of water, and eat it. It helped calm the pain a bit. 2. Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice (DGL) - it worked somewhat, but i think it recoiled with some heart burn afterwards. It seemed to calm burning and some pain. 3. PPI - worked until it didn't. Would calm symptoms for about 24h. I think it may have caused some pain as well, and may have been responsible for SIBO. I eventually moved away from it and relied on famotidine. 4. Famotidine - Calmed symptoms for 8 hours. 5. PepzinGI - not sure if it helped. I took it on and off, cuz why not? 6. Controlled diet: This is the only thing that in the long run would stop all pain.
NOTE: I feel like this bears repeating.. None of the drugs or supplements really took away the misery completely. They only reduced it. The only thing that took away symptoms completely was staying the course on my diet. As soon as I would cheat, I would be back to square one.
What ultimately healed me: The biggest challenge was learning to never, ever cheat for months on end. I suspect that a large part of what was preventing me from healing was that I would cheat on my diet. The slightest cheat caused everything to go back to zero. Eventually, I found a diet that I didn't mind eating every single day. I ate chicken thighs, potatoes, some dried veggies, salt, and Mediterranean herbs (all the green ones. nothing spicy). However, I couldn't start there because my stomach couldn't handle the fat in the thighs. I initially had to start with potatoes only. Later, I graduated to potatoes + egg whites. Then potatoes + chicken breast. Then potatoes + thighs.
Higher food quality & Destressing: I put these 2 things together because I don't know which contributed more, and both happened at the same time. I lived in the US, but I ended up moving to my home country in Europe, where food quality is considerably higher. Previously in my life, I've had periods of constant heartburn, and I remember that staying 2 weeks in my home country eating local food would reset my heartburn for the entire next year when I returned to the US. So I figured that there "might be something in the water" in the US, so to speak, and that it was worth trying this out. However, while living in the US, I was also under constant stress because I was living with a woman with whom my relationship was failing. Long story short: Within about a week of staying in my home country, I was able to drop away Famotidine, and rely on Tums only. My symptoms stabilized, as long as I stuck to my rigid diet.
For the US folks struggling with food quality: It might be worth really choosing your foods carefully. Do your research, and buy the expensive organic chicken and make sure your veggies are also organic. God knows what they spray on the veggies in the US. I know it's a lot more expensive but it really might be worth it. While I was in the US, I bought the regular produce and meat-- the trash quality type. Maybe if I had switched 100% to healthier varieties, maybe I would have healed faster.
My status now:
I'm able to eat everything. I drink 3 coffees a day. I stay away from spicy food out of caution but I've eaten it without a problem. I eat sweets again on a daily basis, although they cause heartburn for me. I still take tums or famotidine as soon as I get symptoms. I do not want this to get out of control again.
Note on IBS: It turned out that some of the pain I was experiencing was coming from IBS. While I was healing, I noticed that I would get pains, but there was a slight difference. There would be no burning, so I started suspecting that maybe my guts were cramping up. I started taking those gut relaxer pills that my doc prescribed me, and it made it go away right away. I don't take those anymore, but there was a period where I was taking them.
Good luck, everyone! I'll stay logged in so I can answer any questions you might have.

2024.02.07 00:55 FondantAbject9047 Lower Esophageal Sphincter (LES) Training?

Looking for ways to strengthen my Lower Esophageal Sphincter (LES) for my GER that I have suffered for years. Have visited several gastroenterologists as well as undergone endoscopy. Only treatments were rx for PPIs and suggestion of significant diet modification (even though I have a relatively healthy diet as it is).
I've tried one PPI (omeprazole) and didn't like it. Seemed to elevate my resting HR and thus also become a distraction for sleep. Also, concerned with the longer term cautions of PPIs in general.
Also tried famotidine at starting does of 10mg / day and it worked reasonably well for a week or two (with no noticeable sides), but then symptoms started to return and required increasing dosage to maintain effectiveness. Not interested in that roller coaster...
Have also tried "raft" agents (alginates) as well as deglycyrrhizinated licorice (DGL) to moderate success, but requires fast response to symptom onset for maximum effectiveness and is not always convenient.
That led me to explore addressing the potential physiological cause (weak or ineffective LES?) and I found some "exercise" alternatives to explore further. One is a "swallowing" exercise using specific posture referred to as "bridge swallowing" (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9550520). Another is "Modified inspiratory muscle training" (m-IMT). For m-IMT, here is a previous post to the GERD sub that contains the source link as well as a pretty good description of the individual's journey and their claimed results (https://www.reddit.com/GERD/comments/gdednz/has_anyone_tried_modified_inspiratory_muscle).
So, I have begun the bridge swallowing a few days ago and while it is way too early to expect results, anecdotally I have seemingly already begun benefitting.
Interested in anyone else's experience with LES strengthening approaches and degree(s) of effectiveness (if any)?

2023.12.27 17:15 Jonxb PPI, licorice root and peptic liquid

PPI has definitely helped with symptoms, but not quite all the way. So I was wondering if it's OK to do the following, daily:
30mg PPI 30
2 chewable deglycyrrhizinated licorice tablets
Peptic liquid after meal if symptoms still turn up
I know I'm not getting a professional medical opinion on here, but does anyone have any experience taking all these meds daily, or is it potentially overkill/harmful?
Any other combos that worked for you are appreciated. I am slim and healthy (aside from the Gerd) and avoiding triggers

2023.12.22 02:09 throwaway_75930 I, 35M, have been getting stomach aches often lasting several days for the last 2 years.

35M, 6ft, 120lb, white, stomach aches
Throughout 2022 I slowly became more frequently afflicted with stomach aches sometimes lasting several days at a time. The stomach aches don't include nausea. I never have diarrhea and rarely have heartburn. I've never been able to figure out very definitely a pattern of what types of foods cause these stomach aches but it does seem that having a large or late meal is a fairly consistent trigger. However, despite limiting myself mostly to snack sized meals and rarely eating after 5 pm in 2023 things have only gotten worse in 2023. Even a tall glass of water would be over-filling and make me feel sick. I can't help but wonder if there are multiple separate issues; whatever the original stomach issue was and secondary issues caused by the severe dietary restrictions this causes as I struggle to find a diet that will not cause me agony.
Took Famotidine for a several month stretch of 2023 to no obvious effect. Same story with Sucralfate. Tried various supplements like Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice, Slippery Elm, and PepZin, none of which helped either. Absolutely nothing seems to help.Blood test found nothing. CT scan with contrast found nothing. Endoscopy only found mild inflammation but nothing to suggest a diagnosis. Tests for bacteria came back negative. Gastroenterologist is at a loss with regard to a diagnosis and has run out of ideas for tests.
Background / other existing medical issues: several (4?) years ago I had a sudden lower-right abdominal pain while doing a crunch and ever since then can't do anything that remotely engages my core or I risk having lower abdominal pain lasting for days. Multiple doctors have examined me and were unable to find any explanation for this. A separate CT scan with contrast found nothing. When the stomach aches started I was borderline underweight (130-140lb), which might be explained by very low muscle mass caused by this inexplicable injury preventing me from engaging in any of the sorts of activities that would grow muscle mass. This being underweight was in spite of what was at the time a fairly high-calorie diet rich in nuts, legumes, and avocados. After giving up all of those in search of a dietary solution, the lowest I ever got to was about 110 lb, now back up to 120 lb. I wouldn't expect it to be relevant, but in the interest of completeness, I also suffer from Raynaud's Syndrome.
Current medications: I currently take a magnesium oxide supplement as needed for regularity (which before magnesium I used to struggle with), and an occasional multivitamin. I neither drink, smoke, nor use recreational drugs.

2023.11.21 16:13 lazostat Should i replace some supplements? Curcumin, lutein etc..

I am taking for some months the following supplements :

Lutein + Cucumin with 1st meal
Creatine + Zinc + Magnesium before sleep with empty stomach
I also have some other supplements like taurine, b12, omega3, probiotics, C, Theanine, Melatonin but i take them rarely, according the situation..
I have started taking lysine also for mouth ulcers prevention, i wanna see if it works..
I have also a d+k and cordyceps supplement closed. I have never taken codyceps before. I have a closed Grapefruit Seed Extract but don't know if i will open it now.. And a Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice Root which i take when i have mouth ulcers..
Lastly, i have started taking 5ml of Sambucus Elderberry for some winter immunity.. Don't know if it works.. My children take it also.

My question is. Should i keep taking them, or do some cycle replacements? For example swap curcumin with something else? And what about lutein? Is it a waste of money or not? I think i am taking lutein for some years..

I know that Q10 can work and it's a good supplement, i used to take it when i was 20 years old ( LOL!! ), but i have read that it's better to take it after 40.. Now i am 36.

The only sure is that i recover from ill faster than my kids and wife.. Don't know if supplements can help with that.. My wife takes nothing.. Only some iron.

And which of the above supplements would you consider bad and should stop taking it? And why?

*** When i was 20-25 i used to take 3x the amount of supplements.. :D
You may see many supplements, but as i said some of them take rarely. For example i have the same bottle of probiotics, melatonin, b12, C, thenine, omega3 for over 5 months.. But maybe i start taking b12 on daily basis for some energy boost in the morning.. Dunno..

2023.09.15 23:14 FrostyBud777 Cured Update!

I used
GI relief by Thorne
FC cidal, Dysbiocide,
Seeking health Multivitamin One MF
Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega
Vitamin a Drops
Vitamin C
Oxy Powder (Mag07 better cheaper brand amazon)
Activated charcoal
Ultrabiotic defense probiotic with lactobacillus and bifido and saccharomyces boulardii
bilex ox bile
Collagenenzymedica digestive enzymes
hcl or apple cider vinegar for acid to digest.
Gluten and dairy free for at least 2 weeks. Gluten is easier to avoid but dairy can be harder with cheese lovers. Cheeseburger without bun is easy, but hamburger no cheese sucks lol Cheese can light your brain up like drugs. https://www.mountsinai.org/about/newsroom/2015/study-reveals-that-cheese-triggers-the-same-part-of-the-brain-as-many-drugs
GASX Can be used with the probiotics to keep bloating down as they repair everything and start to work. Works awesome! Especially when introducing new foods I haven't had in 2 years. Pain completely gone in abdomen, and well, my entire body too! Multi helping with pain for sure.
to heal after 4 years of SEVERE leaky gut, sibo, candida, brain fog, appetite loss, lost 50 lbs and couldn't eat, skinniest in my entire life, and mental health issues, and I am completely cured! Little bit of Monolaurin and Nutricidin by Nutridyn in past months.
To see everything I have gone through and got wrong, You can search Citrobacter SIBO on reddit and find my post a year ago.
Seeking health Multivitamin one MF was the one thing that helped more than anything followed by the leaky gut support GI Relief and now Seeking health extra Vitamin A Drops.
Vitamin A Is needed for secretory IgA , and for the gut lining. I was low for entire year but was scared by GI to not take it cause "it can be toxic". Low serum Vitamin A is a severe deficiency due to the liver being exhausted of Vitamin A before the serum finally goes low. I was 2 points above low value. That is way too low. Saccharomyces Boulardii helps the leaky gut with increasing IgA as well. So does the lacto/bifido.Gi relief sooths the lining and helps mucus production. Licorice in it helps stress as an adapatgen. It really helped in just one week along with multi I was feeling better.GI relief and Seeking health multi have given me the best sleep in 2-4 years. Consistently better sleep.NO STRESS AT ALL< I feel like I am on vacation. Laughing more and happy. The Seeking health Multivitamin does not have much vitamin a so I take an extra 2500 - 5000 IU from their brand of vitamin A drops. It doesn't have vitamin c so I take a 500 mg extended release or more as needed.
EDIT: Please look into overmethylation and undermethylation and their symptoms. I couldn't tolerate all the methy cobolamin and folate for years, Dry eyes, vivid colors, crazy problems with MTHFR, COMT, and other genes. Seeking health Multivitamin One MF does not have these two methylated forms and was the first vitamin that I could tolerate in years. My dry eyes are gone, Do not have any stress at all, its a miracle, and Light no longer hurts my eyes! VITAMINS ARE CRITICAL FOR GENES AND THE IMMUNE SYSTEM AS WELL AS STRESS, REST AND DIGEST!please look into methylation and if you are slow speaker, Methylated form regular Multivitamin One may be best for you.If you scratch your skin and in 20 seconds or so it goes red, That may be Undermethylation and High histamine, Multivitmin One (non mf) may be best for you.If you do not get red barely at all after 20 seconds, Overmethylation and LOW histamine , then Multivitamin One MF (methyl free) may be best for you.Niacin 50 mg nicotine acid can help lower overmethylation reactions as well as glycine, magnesium glycinate and collagen rich in glycine.
I also did Vital Nutrients and a few other brands of Collagen to help heal gut lining with easy to digest and absorb amino acids.
ADRENALS ARE SO CRITICAL. People get so stressed and overwhelmed and spend hours reading.. and learning. The cure for me was the calming adaptogen licorice inside Gi Relief and even better, the High POTENCY B VITAMINS INSIDE THE SEEKING HEALTH ONE MF multi!!!! I never thought any drug, vitamin or substance on this earth could make me feel so calm and be able to rest and digest, as well as relax and recover.
IF you are not on a multi, That was my missing link and key to my healing. One month and I am a different person. Adding Gi relief in for 1 week , after doing 1 month of multi was the cure. Even more relaxing , better sleep, energy and my gut was feeling perfect. Adding in 1 week of Ultrabiotics defense probiotics and FC cidal and Dysbiocide is sealing the deal.
Ox bile helps sludge and I had severe bile Issues and didn't even know until I started Motility activator and got a gallstone. All test were OK at doctor but I still had issues and 3 tabs ox bile before meals or at morning empty stomach cured it for me.I was copper deficient in serum and had histamine intolerance and couldn't get my levels up until I started ox bile and finally it is in range!
Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega is critical omega three supplement that helps brain cells by nurishing them. Helps lower inflammation and provide the correct omega 3 to 6 ratio.
I just started some FC cidal and Dysbiocide past week, I tolerate it perfectly. for 9 months off and on Nutricidin and monolaurin but would stop because it gave me horrible die off and leaky gut let it all pass through. Leaky gut produces Die off and you need the collagen, vitamins, and soup meat cooked veggies nothing raw, to help heal leaky gut while taking the anti-inflammatory herbs, foods, and anti microbials.
*Multivitamin and GI relief* healed leaky gut with nutrients(vitamin A) and herbs and Now I will re-test them. These two things helped more than all killing herbs, supplements and protocols I have done in 2 years.
I can tolerate probiotics lacto/bifido and saccharomyces boulardii beneficial yeast now. I am able to eat foods I haven't eaten in two years or more. I feel a new lease on life. Thankful to God I was spared death last year when It was closer than I ever have been.
Here is my protocol gone through AI.
GI Relief by Thorne is a soothing botanical formula for the GI tract. It contains four natural ingredients that help calm irritated tissues and support the mucous membranes of the GI tract.* These ingredients are:
GI Relief by Thorne can be taken with each meal or as recommended by your health professional. You can also open the capsules and mix the contents with warm water to make a soothing drink for your upper digestive tract.2
Here is some information about each supplement you used and how they work:

Vitamin A is a fat-soluble nutrient that plays an important role in immune function, vision, skin health, and growth and development. Vitamin A may also have a beneficial effect on leaky gut, which is a condition where the intestinal lining becomes more permeable and allows undigested food particles, bacteria, and toxins to enter the bloodstream. Leaky gut may cause inflammation and various health problems.
According to some web search results, vitamin A may help with leaky gut in the following ways:
. Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin that plays an important role in the maintenance of mucosal immunity and barrier function. Mucosal immunity and barrier function are the first line of defense against harmful pathogens and foreign substances that enter the body through the mucous membranes of the digestive, respiratory and reproductive systems1.
Vitamin A deficiency can impair the production and secretion of mucus, which is essential for trapping and clearing out invaders2. Vitamin A deficiency can also affect the structure and function of the epithelial cells that line the mucous membranes, making them more susceptible to damage and infection2. Furthermore, vitamin A deficiency can reduce the number and activity of immune cells in the mucosa, such as dendritic cells, macrophages, innate lymphoid cells, T cells and B cells134. These cells are responsible for detecting and eliminating pathogens, as well as regulating appropriate immune responses to prevent inflammation and tissue damage134.
Therefore, vitamin A may protect against gut infections by enhancing the mucosal immunity and barrier function in several ways. It may help to maintain the integrity and function of the epithelial layer, which forms a physical barrier against pathogens2. It may also help to stimulate the production of mucus, which contains antimicrobial peptides and antibodies that can neutralize pathogens2. Additionally, it may help to modulate the activity and differentiation of immune cells in the mucosa, which can coordinate effective immune responses to eliminate pathogens and prevent excessive inflammation134.

2023.07.20 17:59 TWaveYou2 Is this ok? Natural treatment

Eridication of HPylori, SIBO, SIFO (Candida), Other Monsters (Heavy Metal, Staphy, Streppto)

Updated 27.08.23
Hey ppl, After 1 year more of research and all the shitty stomach problems, i came up with my own treatment / supplement stack. Btw i live in Germany.

Diet:

I dont eat sugar, i dont eat oxalate rich foods, i dont drink alcohol, i dont smoke. Eating carnivore (+ some low oxalate vegetables like cucumber, zucchini, bellpepper) without milkproducts (i will implement joghurt, kefir and quark later...ok i wont it gives me shit feeling), i dont eat flour food!

My Symptoms / my current problems:

Bloating (after eating sugar and carbohydrates), bloated stomach, postural problems, diarrhea, constipation, vomiting, nausea, weight loss, depression, procastination, headache, joint pain, tiredness, dark circles under the eyes, inflammation, sinuses, skin irritation (around my nose), acne (little pimples around my lips and my skin), eczema, lack of breath (when i was young i was an athlete so i know how a free lung feels like), stomach pain (right lower side), weakness, irritable bowel syndrome, acid reflux (reflux ), heart pressure, heart pumping in situations where i know i dont have to be nervous, frequent belching, intolerances and sensitivities, restless legs syndrome, foggy head, anxiety, gallstones (little ones), forgetfulness, stained tongue, bad breath, vitamin deficiency (b12), nutrient deficiency (iron), food cravings (sugar and carbohydrates), sometimes diehrrea, sometimes constipation, skoleosis (dont know wether it comes from the diseases above), hair is thin and is slowly fading), right shoulder pain (feeling of my right shoulder gets pulled down to the front), knee joint pain on the right side, asymetrical face with right side is higher than the left side, ears inside feeling of "water" wont coming out...or like a fur is growing inside, in the night time i give pressure on my teeth (no grinding),misalignment of my teeth, some speaking problems (feeling of my jaws wont open the right way, feeling of jaw muscles pull to the left side), tight chest on the right side, too much tongue pressure (muscle tension), sometimes extrem high libido - sometimes extrem low libido, voice is high although tsh is low 1,49, sometimes i feel like a teenager its a weird feeling but i dont feel that im 30years old (if i ask ppl they rate me 26), most of the time my confidence is low although i dont have the reason to think like that, some hyperfocus (and no that isnt always good, because i can focus on things while not eat and drink for more then 2 days),

My Backstory:

I visited plenty docs for restless leg, sleeping problems, voice problems, growth problems, digestion problems, bone problems....
As a kid i was very calm but sometimes i had something like adhd where i was hyperactive. As a kid i has often gastritis, sinus and ear problems. Till 12 years i was in a athletic group and won several medals (even with that i was not feeling masculin like the other boys around me with her father figure...but i was into girls so i knew that i was a little normal ;D ). In school i was always daydreaming and good in music and art (undermethylation?). I noticed on photos that around 13 years i developed my asymetrical face (im currently somehow angry that my mother till this day didnt notice anything). Somehow i went into gaming and developed some addiction (wasnt good for my social life but i was happy for not having ppl backstabbung me directly). My confidence was low - my mother always said if some is nerving you simply go away - so i tried my best to avoid every fight (at the end the shittiest thing to do is running away from problems! Now im doing bjj and its the best!). In my last year of school 2012 i came together with my current ex gf. My school grades where not good, but after i did my graduation for industrial mechanic it went very well and got known as some of the best cnc specialist in our company. While my last year of school and while graduating for industrial mechanic i behaved like a naive dog in love. I was stressed like hell but was happy "to had the be love feeling" and enjoyed the relationship.
I worked as an industrial mechanic (cnc manufacture) in late shift and early shift (was stressed out) 01.08.2020 - 31.05.2023, changed that to only early shift because i have sleep disorder and attacked my ex gf while sleep ( i thought she was the gangster i had to protect her from). Went to sleep doctor into lab and got tested for REM Phase. He said that i could have little problems because of 2 shift work -> problem solved around 01.06.23, stayed with cnc - problem: working with metals like AlCuMgPb ( heavy metal toxicity ?!), POM, 90MnCrV8, X210CrW12, X150CrW12, X5CrNi18-10, AND! Coolantfluid (and our company dont change this with the normal necessary cycle so it gets very moldy and rotten!!! mold yeast toxicity ?!) after breakup 22.05.2022 (after 10 years gf left / cheated..she said i act like narcist) i went to psychotherapie and got tested for narcism and some traumas -> no narcism (doctor said that my ex gf could have been narcistic from what i experienced - trauma ?!) maybe some childhood trauma because of no father figure and heavy working mother (low testosteron?).
Plz watch if there are some negative things to say about this! Im happy about every feedback...and NO i dont want take antibiotics, i already took antimytica (nystatin because of mouthsoor) 10 days after my birth my life maybe this fucked me up?. So Part 1 is Phase 1/2/3 together, then Part 2 is Phase 4/5/6
I would like to know wether i should seperate them or take the parts together????
_____________________ - Part 1 - _____________________
.....Phase 1: Biofilm interrupting.....
NAC (n acetyl cysteine - sunday natural) -> ! Cycling! 1 week on 2 days off -> 1x600mg morning, 1x600mg evening 1/2h before meal eempty stomach
Black cumin oil -> morning empty stomach 1 spoon
ALA (Alpha Lipolic acid - sunday natural) -> Im not sure about this (!!!only for chelate!!!) -> every 2,5-3h, start low dosage of 1mg (i dont take this right now)
Propolis -> morning empty stomach 20 drops
Tumeric root powder -> pre meal, 1 spoon
Coconutoil -> pre meal, if possible 4x/day, 1 spoon
Active charcole -> i currently dont take this because you shouldnt take this forever and i would like to know if there are better binders?
Milkthistle (mariendistel - tetesept) -> morning with meal / evening with meal, spacing 6h, 200-400mg
Chlorella - sunday natural-> (!!!only for chelate!!!), evening pre meal, 1x/day, 1g/day
Diametious earth - kieselgur gel-> morning empty stomach, 1x/ day, 1spoon with enough water
+.....Phase 3: Elimination these Bitch Bacteria, etc.....
Bismut Subsilycate - Pepto Bismol -> between meals, 4-6x/day, 3:1 NAC,
Garlic -> no cooking, only raw in salad -> bloating so only crushed works
Cranberry juice -> be careful with sugar, for flushing out parasites, my last chance for relief
Oregano -> cooking with that
Oliveoil -> salad and cooking
Coconutoil -> cooking, mix (see under this section)
Sulphoraphane -> watercress, arugola, zucchini, bell pepper, cucumber ( i dont eat much more ...be careful with oxalates!)
Apolactoferrin - jarrow formula -> 1x/day, 1x250mg i would take this only if you have candida / fungus, mold (it has to be apolactoferrin NOT lactoferrin!)
____________________ - Part 2 - ______________________
.....Phase 4: Healing Stomach & Gut.....
DGL (deglycyrrhizinated licorice - sunday natural) -> with meal better evening (be careful could manipulate testosteron)
Masic Gum (Mastix - sunday natural) -> empty stomach 30min pre meal after bismut, 4x/day (can increase testosteron because zinc), 4x 250mg
L-Glutamin - sunday natural -> empty stomach pre meal 15min, 2-3x / day, possibly after workout, 3x 5g
Zinc L- Carnosine - sunday natural -> after meal, 2x /day, possibly pre workout, 2x 500mg
MSM - sunday natural -> with meal morning, 2x/ day, be careful can cause molybdenium deficiency, 2x750mg
Vitamin D3
+.....Phase 5: Probiotik..... Btw i dont take this with the elimination phase
Saccharomyces boullardii - sunday natural -> pre sleep, 500-1000mg
L. Reuteri - sunday natural -> pre sleep, 100millions
+.....Phase 6: Prevention.....
Ginger -> tea, shake, mix, meal
Psyllium husks -> 30min-1h pre meal, 1x/ day, 40g, ( be carefull condition is after 2-3 days)
Question: I would take Phase 1 + Phase 2 + Phase 3 and after that Phase 4 + Phase 5 + Phase 6 OR ???? SHOULD I TAKE Part 1 together with all part 2? Do you have any good binders? I would take part 1 2 months - 6months and then part 2?! Right?
Im thankful for every answer This is now my thread and i will add my progression how it goes 😃
For now i have pressure on the right lower side, pelvic floor spasm, digestion problems directly with sugar, milk, and so on. Sometimes suddenly the pressure feeling goes away for some minutes when i eat fish, arugola, eggs, bacon (without sugar,) pork, beef, chicken.
Last Stand would be...antibiotics... pylera (quad therapy + bismut) or prevpac (triple therapy + bismut)
If i fixed my problem i will add Vitamin D3, Magnesium, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B Complex, Ginseng Panax, Beta Carotin, Omega 3, Selenmethionin to my Stack
Thx all !
23.08.23: didnt update cause of rl trouble and vaccation...yesterday i had severe trouble with backpain (couldnt walk anymore) on the right lower side between rips and front low right under my ripcage (thought about gallblader and kidney)...today went to doctor he said it also could be some rips...got some paininfusion with cortison and other things (maaaan i sleept like a child)....he gave me some medication called "etoricoxib Stada 90mg" (1×/day)... I threw the word SIBO (Small intestine bacterial overgrowth) in the room and he said it could be possible...i fucking cheated with my friends at chidoba and ate some beef bowl without the wheat tortilla, i ate white cilantro rice, paprika vegetable, quacamole, beef, lime juice... was not good...next day some light farts...

29.07.23 Day 10 of Part 1: i got a little of flushy poop, but after that i had no right side pressure and no air in my stomach and intestine...big motivation, big confidence, hair growing fast WTF 2mins later the whole pressure is back -.- but maybe i have to eat more sea food, also my tongue gots better me and best friend ate after training tuna and some bacon egg salad...got some little farts but tongue has less coating
30.07.23 Day 11 of Part 1: one more time i have some diarrhea, but its like yesterday where the pressure slowly fades, but now i have heavy pressure under my right rips? maybe gallbladekidney/muscle pain? 2023.05.13 18:18 No_Bet9041 Fully Cured!!

So I contracted pretty severe gastritis in December 2022 after eating greasy foods for like a 3 months lol. I had to get a colonoscopy to rule out IBS or IBD which thankfully came back normal, but an endoscopy confirmed gastritis.
At times the pain was extreme, and this was right in the middle of my second semester of university, so it interfered substantially with my classes.
I promised myself that if I ever healed fully I would make a post about it , and after 3 months of a strict bland diet eating nothing but rice, vegetables, bread, water, and some chicken/fish, I'm happy to say I'm 100% pain-free and can eat whatever I want again.
Some supplements that helped me was stomach chi (https://www.amazon.com/OHCO-Stomach-Chi-Capsules-Sensitivities/dp/B00016WX1C/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=stomach+chi&qid=1683994325&sr=8-1) and DGL, even though it tastes disgusting lol (https://www.amazon.ca/DGL-DEGLYCYRRHIZINATED-LICORICE-ROOT-TABS/dp/B00FWC0QZK).
To anyone suffering atm, don't lose hope and Inshallah you will recover.

2023.04.21 16:32 Joe_Berridge_Beale Does DGL work at night?

I'm coming off of Omeprazole 20mg twice a day on orders from my gastroentologist and was wondering for future reference if taking 3 400mg DGL chewable tablets 30 minutes before the 3 main meals of the day (but not the 2 snacks in between) would work to protect the stomach lining at night, too? Or do I absolutely need sucralfate for that? I've been reading The Gastritis Healing Book if it isn't obvious.
Here's the DGL I want to use:

2023.02.17 13:50 GothamHart Pomegranate Extract

I’d normally hold off a little longer before posting something like this but considering how people are suffering daily I just couldn’t keep anything that might help to myself.
So I started taking pomegranate extract a week ago with licorice root extract and have noticed a dramatic decrease in my symptoms in that time. It’s obviously too early to have cured me if it even does but my brain fog, brain inflammation, dizziness have all reduced by at least 90%. My GI problems have similarly reduced, I still am experiencing episodes of what I could only describe as cramping a couple times a day but they don’t last long. Also the organ pains in my liver and kidney areas have also reduced.
If you subscribe to the viral persistence theory as I do then pomegranate peel extract has shown the ability to inhibit the virus up to 74% and I’ve seen some sources say up to 80%. https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fchem.2021.638187/full
Similarly licorice root has shown antiviral activity against Covid. Important note about the licorice root though is that you need the full extract and not just Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice which is so popular for acid reflux and stomach problems but you need the Glycyrrhizin as that’s what’s specifically shown antiviral activity against Covid. This might be a problem for some as Glycyrrhizin can raise blood pressure but I’ve been using a small dose and as a bonus pomegranate extract can actually lower blood pressure so hopefully they cancel each other out. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8066091/
Obviously I’ve only been doing this regimen for a week so take everything that I’m saying with a grain of salt as my improvement may not last and I certainly don’t consider myself cured yet but I hope this helps others as it’s helped me so far. Also not a doctor.
I’ve been taking 2 grams of pomegranate extract spread throughout the day and 900 mg of licorice root in the morning. I’m also taking other things but I’ve been taking those for month’s and didn’t notice the improvement until the last week when I added these things in.
