I'm old as hell (40) and have been with my girlfriend for four years. I was set to marry my last partner in 2017, but she had a late game pivot and decided to become a polyamorous they/them at the last minute.
Regardless my current girlfriend and I have grown to love each other very much, and I had a ring picked out. However last month I found out that during the first half of our relationship she cheated on me six times - slept with two of her friends, made out with a third and planned to sleep with a fourth, but he cancelled on her. Says that's in the past because it was a whopping two years ago, and that now she's learned how destructive cheating is, loves me so much more etc etc etc.
Obviously I have to end this, regardless of how sincerely remorseful she seems (she has honestly been a wreck and wants to save this). I don't know, I just feel like it's over. All my savings got rinsed due to a medical issue a few years back, and no matter how hard I hit the gym I will still be a man in his 40's with no savings who rents a one bedroom apartment. I'm not particularly attractive, even if I do look very young for my age. I love her and I can feel both of our hearts breaking.

the genre is a 2d action platformer game. it's similar to Metroidvania type with the adventure where there are multiple paths you can take to explore the world but without the specific skill side.

The world is at its last cycle, the Kaliyuga. The empire tasked the immortal red assassin to capture the existence that was rumored to be tied to the cycle. Bearing the symbol of death, the red assassin steps onto the land of god only to learn about the truth of the cycle, life, and belonging.
The game mechanic of this game besides basic movement (dash or wall jump) is throwing. you could equip up to 3 weapons and you could throw them as a projectile, if it hits the enemy then it will invoke a special ability based on the weapon that you throw and it will also heal you.

I have had this installed for about 2 weeks. I forgot to set the fan speed for it or download any monitoring program from their site. I guess my question is does it auto regulate to keep the cpu from throttling or do i need to manually set the fans to 80% or something along those lines. I had my old pc set to 100 all the time and the cpu paste lasted for ever. Should i do this to prevent "pumpout" or should i be good. i used a thermal plate and thermal grizzly extreme. Not really trying to reapply paste again for at least 2 years.
I dont overclock and everything runs stock. I have I9-14900k and a asus wifi gaming z970e plus 7 case fans. 3 in from front 3 out with cooler and 4 exaust fans and 1 fan to move heat away from gpu. the gpu is a 4070 ti super. Also i have a fractal north xl mesh for more airflow.
Im not really having problems or anything. its whisper quiet under load. but that was kind of my concern. shouldnt it atleast rev up underload? also my room gets pretty hot from all the heat exhaust.

Hi, I’d like some advice on how I can cope while we try and move out of here, as my mental health is starting to get severely impacted. For some background I am a 23 year old f and my 24 year old boyfriend has moved into my parents home from England, I’m in Scotland. Before he moved here I warned him my parents house was bad, but he said he didn’t care and just wanted to get a job up here ASAP. Then the recession was announced lmao. We’ve been here a few months and the longer he’s here the more comfortable my parents get. It’s not that they’re massive hoarders, although we do have a huge accumulation of things that aren’t needed, you can walk around and use things without it being too messy. However, they are filthy. The last time the shower was cleaned was September when I last done it, I’m doing social sciences in uni, I’m their adopted daughter diagnosed with BPD, and they have two sons who are 25 and 29 who don’t help either. I try to keep the place clean, but it’s getting to the point of impacting my school work, if I want to eat, if I want to do anything, I need to clean up after other people first. My dad is obese and can’t clean himself correctly after the toilet, and will often clean himself in the shower and then leaves poo all over the shower floor. When I tell him about this he will get mad at me for bringing it up, and my mum will “clean” it by spraying water at it but it never gets cleaned. I constantly am scared of getting e. coli or something when I shower. We have even been encouraged to list as homeless by a local charity who was concerned for me, but I’ve been waiting for months now with no luck because of Scotlands housing emergency. I’m not sure what to do. I’ve done everything I can so far to get out, it’s just a waiting game. How can I cope?????

Hey there! I am a 30 year old guy from Upstate New York looking for someone that wants to make an emotional connection, and would like to put efforts into conversations.
A bit about me: I'm 6’1". I get height can be a big deal for some women so I think it's best to just put it out there first 😅 I've got black hair, brownish black eyes. Average body, I'm muscular and wanting to start exercising both for health and a little bit for better shape. A bit about me: I'm 6’1". I get height can be a big deal for some women so I think it's best to just put it out there first 😅 I've got black hair, brownish black eyes. Average body, I'm muscular and wanting to start exercising both for health and a little bit for better shape. I love animals. I've always felt very connected and attached to them and just enjoy interacting with them. While I am more of a dog person pet-wise, cats are still pretty cool in my book. Cats are more complex though I love the mysterious nature.
Anything outdoors is great in my opinion. Just feel like going for a walk? Let's do it. I do kayaking a bit in the summers, fish, hike, go for drives. I have the habit of occasionally stopping and taking pictures of plants and flowers I see around (I'm always down to share!). It's not just the outdoors I love. I can also get down with chill days at home binging something on Netflix or playing something on my PC. Let's face it, I'm a bit if a nerd (everyone has something nerd about themselves) and if you like Jurassic park, board games, Any Mafia movies, gaming, etc we will get along great. I'm a sucker for horror movies as well and am always looking for recommendations. I listen to a lot of music. I shouldn’t brag but I listen to english ,german, Spanish, french and Hindi songs. Born and brought up in India. Hence, hindi songs.
A bit about (possibly) you: I'd prefer if you were in some sort of professional environment and ambitious. I'm not extremely picky about things like hair and eye color. Height is also not a big deal. If you're alot smaller than me and worried that it's something you’ll be insecure about, it's not. The big thing for me is personality. I think personality can make us a lot more or a lot less attractive. I want someone that is genuinely kind and sweet, someone that likes to laugh, someone that's not afraid to be goofy.

My specs aren't the best. I have a 4 year old RX 570 4gigs and lately I noticed that my GPU has been underperforming in a lot of games.
Games I have played before fine are now performing so much worse. I mostly play single player games for context. Watching framerate tests on the games I'm playing on YouTube show people usually having 10-15 more frames than what I'm getting for myself on the same settings and they're having less GPU usage too. I don't really know when this started happening but I just now noticed it. I've been using my GPU slightly overclocked for some time now but reverting to default settings doesn't really fix this issue either. My GPU usage is always being maxed out when it should be having some headroom playing certain games locked at 60fps, but its giving me framerates much less than 60.
For example, I recently decided to play Sekiro and it has been underperforming as well giving me maxed out GPU usage and dropping fps on a card that should be able to play it perfectly (I've played Sekiro on this GPU before too and it ran perfectly back then). Benchmark softwares aren't dropping performance, it only happens while playing games. My driver version is 24.3.1

(F21) What have people found helpful for separation anxiety? I’ve had anxiety since preteen years which has been awful but I won’t get into that here. Due to my anxiety I have found myself relying on my gf for everything in terms of mental health. We have been together for 4 years and have had a couple weeks apart every so often but I am finding myself crying and getting chest tightness today (Saturday) at the thought of her leaving for a week (Monday). I kind of walk through my days like a zombie when I’m alone. I also don’t currently have a job or irl friends to keep me occupied. Video games help for a while but end up making me feel more worthless like i’m wasting time. I feel like I’m going back to my (troubled) 13-17 year old self.

Me (21M) and my best friend “I will call him Jason in this post” (20M) have been friends for almost a decade. And for the last few years, he’s mostly been my only friend. He’s not the most social person either so we spent a lot of time together. We always had mostly similar passions and interests, we have the same humour and therefore had a lot of great times. I experienced a lot of great things together with him, like some really cool trips, or experimenting a little with drugs etc.. Therefore I hold a lot of value to this friendship.
But now for why I’m making this post. For the past few months or maybe even for the last year and a half, things haven’t been the same. When I graduated from school and started at university I tried to use the chance and tried to socialise more. This isn’t easy for me but I found some friends at university that are really cool and I think they find me cool as well. Of course we’re meeting up sometimes, and sometimes I brought Jason along because I thought it’ll be funny and we would have a good time. But it wasn’t, he was quite for almost the whole duration of the meet ups. Even when trying my best to include him it didn’t work out and that made things a bit awkward tbh and I regretted bringing him with me. After multiple times of him not saying anything to anyone i just stopped inviting him, which maybe is uncool from me but no way he actually enjoyed being there. I of course still spend most of the time with him, just for when others are involved I don’t bring him with me. He didn’t say anything to me about wanting to come to such meet ups so that’s just how it is now. My Problem with this is that like I said I mostly didn’t have many friends as a teenager, it was just him. But now I’m a bit older and I don’t want sitting on a bench and smoking weed alone with him be the only thing I do when going out anymore. And he just doesn’t seem to be wanting the same. This of course is really far away from quitting a friendship that lasted a decade, but there has been something else that combined with what I described right now makes me doubt the future of this friendship.
The second Problem is his Attitude in the last one and a half years. In some Moments he is annoyingly sensitive. I’m not a bad guy, I don’t say stuff that may hurt other people just for my own amusement. But of course I, like everybody else, like to do some banter, normal things in a friendship I would say. But for quite some time he can’t take a fucking joke and it’s really unbearable. Like for example last week we wanted to play a shooter game which we played a lot a few years ago, yk for the good old times and stuff. We talked about it the whole week and organised when we would do it. We both are really busy with university right now so time for hour long gaming sessions is spare, we said let’s do it on friday and I was really excited the whole week. Then Friday comes and I was ready for gaming with my bro for the whole night, the first round starts and I die very soon, my skills were a bit rusty. He was still alive and when he got approached by enemies he missed his whole magazine without one hitting one bullet. In my opinion this was a funny situation and I laughed a bit and said something along the lines of "damn not even one hit", after that he didn’t say anything and after a few minutes he said that he wants to go off. We wanted to play for the whole night but finished after 20 minutes because he didn’t like my comment I guess? I personally think this is silly behaviour and this didn’t happen for the first time, I could give you even more examples but don’t want this to get too long. This change in attitude btw happened before I started having some other friends so I think there’s no connection. And I know for a fact that everything’s going fine at home, so no extra stress or something that bothers him. Therefore I have to assume that this is just the person he developed into and I’m going to be honest I personally can’t really stand it. I of course asked him if everything’s right when such things happened but he always said that everything’s fine and pointed to blame to me.
So this is the situation and like I said in the title, I don’t know if this is worth it anymore. I without a doubt wouldn’t wanna be friends with a person that behaves like this but we’ve been best friends for a long time and I feel bad for maybe ending this. Therefore I’m asking you for help, is there maybe something I can do or what would you do in this situation? Or should I just accept that it’s over?

I just discovered this group yesterday, by accident, I was doing a web search for some info and one of the links that showed up was for a thread from in here. I already knew about reddit, and at times have been a member of groups.

what was said in that thread, and some of the comments I read in it, made me a bit sad because I remember OLD game systems that covered ideas that were mentioned, like for game systems that could cover a stone age civilization. I did not read every single comment in that thread so I do not know every single idea that was put forth.
As a frame of reference, so people can know where I am coming from, I AM an actual OLD guy, and I first started playing RPG's back in 1978, yeah that long ago, back when D&D was still "original edition". I stayed an avid gamer through the 1980's and I saw the slow decline of the "old school" RPG's starting in the 1990's because of the increasing popularity (and growing better graphics) of the online video games, and the rip-off card games like Magic.
(few even know that Magic was based on an older game that had expansion packs that allowed a player to modify the previous rules, that game was

the biggest difference between Cosmic Encounter and Magic was that each time an expansion set came out for Cosmic Encounter you did not have to buy 20-30 or more packets hoping to get a complete set of the expansion, each expansion set was complete with just ONE purchase)
So I remember a lot of the old games, that have not been around for 20-30 years that cover ideas that were brought up in the thread I mentioned above.
Like for running a game that is based around a stone age time frame ... for a game like that, one of the better space sci-fi games would work, because in those games there is always the possibility of the players encountering a planet with a low tech level like that ... and old games like that that I remember and used to play are "Traveller" and "Space Opera", and of course there is always GURPS (generic universal role playing system) which has rule books for including just about anything imaginable in a game (yes you CAN use a WW2 era panzerfaust to take out a dragon or a tyrannosaurus rex O_O :-D ). GURPS, and a small number of other old games have the capability to allow players running around in a D&D type world to do things like using a motorcycle (running on alcohol instead of gasoline) instead of a horse to get around, and carry weapons like a rifle or pistol. The possibilities are nearly endless.
(I remember playing in a space sci-fi game where my character was a Zarathustran fuzzy {think a 2 1/2 ft tall wookie} who used a modified armored robot chassis with anti-grav capability, armed with a chin-mount 40mm auto grenade launcher and two light machine guns, I was the party's "air support" and recon)
There were a great many games developed during the late 1970's up to the 1990s that covered a wide range of ideas ... like a game about going back to high school, or a game about being stuck on a multi-generation starship that is actually a gigantic hollowed out asteroid, or a game about being part of a specialty team helping to rebuild America (and I think info was given for England as well) after a nuclear war, or a Star Trek style space sci-fi game where the characters are anthromorphic furry animals ... the list goes on and on.
If anyone is interested, I would be happy to continue this discussion ... because many of those old games are still available if you know where to get them ... I have rebuilt part my collection of old games that I used to have, only now I have digital versions of the books instead old the old paper versions.
