I’m 40f. The man I have been in love with every day for 2.5 years fell off the wagon while I was in the psych ward for suicidal ideations and untreated bipolar disorder.
He passed away last month. He fell and wasn’t breathing for over 10 minutes before anyone noticed. It was only him being an organ donor that put him on life support that meant that I got to see him and say goodbye, I didn’t get out of my own hospital stay until he had been on life support for days.
We missed each other like ships in the night. I was excited to show him all the progress that I had made and how much better of a partner I was going to be for us.
Because I was first in a psych ward then in a step down where they could work on finding me a place to live temporarily, I haven’t seen my friends or spoken to much of anyone in 2 months. The last few weeks we were given a privilege of “phone time” for 45 minutes every day where we weren’t supposed to text, everyone does anyway, and I spent that time texting him. He told me he loves me repeatedly. He can’t wait for us to go out and he’s going to hold me when we get to go to the movies together… it was just like it always had been.
The last text I got from him was that he had a new girl, he would always be there for me though. Then, silence. I thought he ghosted me, as I didn’t take the news well (think “we were on a break!” And “I’m still your girlfriend!” Etc)

I only have 2 weeks left here before I’m out in the street but I can’t make myself do anything that isn’t laying in bed, crying, maybe walking to fill the water jugs, then repeating that cycle. (I was working on a photo book for his elderly parents but I’m finding my limit of looking at his amazing face while I’m being given updates on where we are on the cremation process. It is too heartbreaking.)

I don’t have anyone who can help me get on track, or who can help me keep going. He was my everything, my favourite person, my personal cheerleader. How am I supposed to put up a wall around that hurt, the broken barometer and matching heart, so I can try to be on the market for a job?

Heads up: This is already getting pretty long, and I'm just starting, so...
I'm not sure this is truly all that horrific, but it sucked in the moment, at least.
So; small bit of backstory: this was like... I want to say 3 years ago? just a year or two into the pandemic. A couple people I know had a friend that offered to DM for DnD for the first time; and none of us had played DnD before. One of the two was super excited about it, because she'd just recently (at the time) gotten into Critical Role. The other was also super excited, because he was just interested in the game in a general sense (they're currently playing semi-weekly with an online group, really glad this didn't ruin the game for them).
I didn't feel as enthused; I was going to give it a shot (I'd had a couple of interesting ideas before then, but I honestly think I'd have a better (though still not great) time as the DM), but I didn't see myself even finishing the campaign, at first.
Then I got into character creation, and my muse started bouncing off the walls with ideas.
I ended up going with a Tiefling fighter (I forget what his name was, but I'll call him... Kamdo), for the sake of ease of use, and learning the game, while also providing the DM with opportunities to have fun with character interactions.
Kamdo's backstory was pretty sparse, but I didn't want to overwhelm the DM, considering I was an aspiring author (and still am, truth be told), and even as little as I wrote (barely two paragraphs) was like... 3 times as much as every other player, and probably the total length of every other character on the board for our first party.
One of these people ended up playing a half-elf... Sorcerer, I think? I honestly don't remember much of that character. (her name was some poetic thing about song, so I'll call her Sonata)
The other ended up playing a... I think it was a human druid? he was a fairly forgettable character, beings as he hardly ever spoke up. (I think his name was Renald?)
The DM played a dwarven... Paladin? yeah, that sounds right. (I'll call her Barryl)
Now, at the time, I didn't know that DMPCs even had a name, let alone a reputation, so I didn't even have the context to think to protest. Though, even now, I don't think they can't be done well, just that this one didn't even come close (not that I'd know, mind).
Anyway, session 1 comes along, and our characters meet for the first time; barely any real roleplay- the thing I was most looking forward to, but that's forgivable, I figure; beings that our group was made up of a new DM, and all newbie party. 'It's probably not that strange', I figured (my hind brain is much more socially aware than my front brain).
Now; important note: I'm not very personable in... person (I probably could've worded that better, but it's not coming to me right now). I don't like talking, I don't like people, I have severe social anxiety (my hands shake while in front of a cashier), and I've met the DM all of like 4 times, each for maybe 3 minutes, up to this point.
It was never going to be easy for me to act like a personable character, so instead I leaned into my natural quietness. Kamdo was an orphan from a nondescript village nestled in the foothills of a mountain, and spent much of his life as a librarian to earn a living, while dealing with the racism of a small town (the only bit of anything weird I gave his backstory was that said town had zero information on magic, despite having a relatively large library).
Eventually, he gets sick of living there, and decides to train under the town guardsmen, before taking off into the wilds on his first adventure!
The first major obstacle out party faced was... a door. I wish I was kidding.
The first thing that happened was that someone tried to pick the door open. Then someone kicked it. Both failed, beings as the rolls were something like 7, 8, and 5, or something. On a D20. I did the natural thing, and just reached over to open the door (this is semi-important later). It doesn't budge.
I shrug, and, figuring that my character, being decked out head-to-toe in plate armor, two pole-arms, and a heavy shield, could break the thing down. Kamdo got a running start, just to be sure, and charged!
Nat 20.
Kamdo breaks down the door, full tilt, and runs face first into some nasty webbing. Well, Sonata irritatedly extracts Kamdo from the webbing, while Berryl and Renald clear out the rest of the room.
The entire campaign is to this roughly this tune.
So, at the end of this dungeon, there's a Drider encounter (I glanced at the stat sheet one time, and ever since, I've been wondering how the DM intended for us to win that encounter), which ends in the thing falling off the ceiling, and promptly taking half its health in damage. Kamdo ended up finishing it off with a pitying thrown dagger, which he had collected from an earlier room.
The entire thing was pretty comedic, and overall rather fun, but I was already beginning to see the cracks. I had a bad habit of 'making sure' the right dice were rolled for the right checks, and was well and truly bored during combat. I just... It had its moments, but I kept spacing out, waiting for my turn, resulting in Kamdo attacking an already downed opponent. It wasn't great.
But, I figured I'd stick it out for the long haul (at the time), for the sake of the other players.
Fast forward 2 fucking sessions of walking, and we're coming up on Baludur's Gate.
Now, quick thing (I'm sorry, this is how my brain works, bare with me please): the DM had been hyping up Baldur's Gate both in- and out- of game for a month by this point. She couldn't wait for us to get there.
But first, I got the sniffles, and self isolated, thereby missing a session, but trusted my mother to play my character adequately in the meantime.
When I came back, nobody bothered to fill me in, and I was dumped into the middle of a combat scenario, against a hoard of Evil Dudes. I didn't even know what species they were, nevermind why we were fighting them.
Just "So, roll initiative!" From the DM to start the session.
'Fuckin', okay then.' I figure to myself, saying nothing aloud.
I had no idea what was going on the entire session, but apparently, we won! (yay?)
So, after the combat encounter was over, I finally got some context, because people were talking to each other now. Apparently, the same Drider that I killed back in session 2? 3? was back at it, with a hoard of cultists to back it up.
Now I'm reall confused, because, well... Duh! WTF was even going on here? I distictly remember killing that thing, yet here we are, fighting its cultist minions! Just... whatever, I eventually let it go, because I was on the recieving end of some equally confused looks, like obviously the Drider that we had no business fighting was back, who else would it be?

Whatever.
So, our little mottley crew runs into a couple NPCs who are leaving the city (it's a city right? I'm not misremembering that?). They tell us about how the guards put one of their friends in prison for no good reason, and there's a person in the wizard's guild that might be able to help us with Sonata's character quest!
'Cool!' I think! 'Some real nice Roleplay could come out of this; my character's looking to multiclass into wizard; it'll be a neat diversion, and I'll have some fun playing this character that I haven't had any real fun with yet!'
NOPE!
The other players decide that they're going to help break out these two random people's friend from prison!
Why, you may ask?!
...
...
...
So, we make it into the city, and the first thing the party does is, guess what?!
Break a convicted felon out of prison!
They didn't even wait to go shopping first!
Now; I'm absolutely flabbergasted by this point. Hopefully, understandably so.
So; the party breaks the convicted felon out of prison, and immediately makes for the docks; apparently one of the now 3 4(! fucking) DMPCs 'has a friend'.
Deep breaths.
So, we go off into the waters, having spent all of 1 real-life hour in Baldur's Gate "The place where everything happens." - direct quote from the DM.
During this boat ride, one of the DMPCs gives old Kamdo (He's somehow the oldest character in the party at a whopping 32) a spell shield (mirror shield? it was a shield that had advantage blocks against magic). I look down at my level (5, I think?) fighter, and just kind of cringe, since my AC is like 24 already, and with this new shield it jumped to like 26. Kamdo is untouchable without an advantage roll.
So, naturally, we fight a goddamn Sea monster next (one more monster we really shouldn't have fought) but we pulled it off... somehow.
Now I was incredibly bored, and the DM seemed to pick up on that, having me try to train Renald. Kamdo did that, and 2 sessions later we finally made it back to land.
Directly into Sonata's character quest.
Guess what we fought while we were there?
A fucking level 15 Lich.
Said lich TPKs us. It hit Kamdo Through his magic advantage sheild, and one shot him.
That was the last straw for me. I had Sonata's player play Kamdo's arc to fruition, and left. (He ended up settling on an island in book heaven, with Sonata pining after him, for anyone interested.)
I haven't played DnD since.
Honestly, I kinda-sorta feel bad; because the campaign fizzled out not long after I left. I can't help but wonder what would've happened if I'd still stuck it out.
I sincerely hope you all had more fun reading this than I had experiencing it, because I just don't trust fast, and that means I don't have anyone I'd even be interested in playing with anymore.

Opening**
A security guard is seen running from foxy the guard runs into Freddy and Bonnie and chica in the dining. Foxy raises his hook and slices the guards arm off and the guard is knocked down. He wakes up in a chair it is a torture chair with sharp saws going to his face he sees a screw and tries to unscrew it doesn't work. The sharp saws go threw his face as his skin and meat and blood scattered on the floor and you see his bone they get cutting so wide the cupcake sees this and bites his meat and eats it.
Scene 1**
Mike wakes up in his bed staring at the clock reading 6:00 AM. He goes to his job as a cashier getting paid 3.29 a hour he is planning to quit but he needs rent money. He sees a guy stealing something so he runs and tries to tell him to give it back but sees a child and he realizes he should let them go because they could be hungry. Mike gets called to his boss. The boss tells Mike you are fired pack up your things or we will call 911. Mike packs up and goes home. He calls number for a job council he finds one. 2 weeks later (4/8/2000).
Scene 2**
Number 27, number 27. Mike realizes he heard his number and goes to a office. Hello my name is Dave Miller I am ur councilor today so what is your deal Mike letting people just go after stealing something is just bad you know that right? said Dave Miller. Mike said I did the right thing mr.Miller. I know but you can't be doing that ok Mr.Michael Schmidt also do you want coffee for ur job. What job? Said Mike. Security at Freddy's said Dave. Mike said how is the pay. Not good but hours are worst said Dave Miller. I will take it ok said Mike. Okay said Dave Miller.
Scene 3**
[1 day later]
I am at Freddy's Mike tells Dave on the phone. Ok remember check the place top to bottom but do not look in the suits said the owner and no parts and service also the owner said Dave. Ok I said Mike. (20 minutes later) I am in my office goodbye said Mike. goodbye said Dave Miller. Mike saw a tape with his name he played it and it was the year 1987 of the tape. Hello and welcome to Freddy fazbear pizza place our wonderful staff will love you and if you cook good so will chica and beware of one thing FUN!!! And remember the animatronics should be taken with care ain't that right Henry said the staff. Yes said Henry. Let's see th- th- video tape ends. Mike hears a call from the phone and answers. Uhm hello hello hello and welcome to Freddy fazbear pizza place it is for fancy and fun come to life and remember do not like do anything bad that would get you an illegal trouble I know I know why am I reading this well our last night girl let's just say was terrible at his job and I mean it just make sure to not do anything bad and hopefully not like the last last last night guard he was a train wreck oh yeah guess what he did on his cameras he wrote he nobody like drew the middle finger on every single camera lens that's all I got to say is don't do that and take my warning animatronics are alive and remember close the door and check the lights I'm not going to tell you again because if you ever mess with them they will harm you or worse the last night card sadly passed away because of a glitch at least that's what we think basically we have to reopen this place so we need another car to clean up it and make sure to keep it clean that's all I have to say goodbye said phone guy. Mike said okay and proceeded to look around the place. And before he knew it it was 6:00 a.m. and he could leave ending his shift for night one.
Scene 4**
Mike drove home and he saw a card taped to his door it said that he could get evicted in the next two weeks or else he would have to pay a lot of rent and if he didn't pay it by that time he would lose his house and be forced to live on the streets. So Mike just went to bed waited for 11:30 so he can drive off to Freddy's and get started with his night. He woke up and it was 11: 37 he was 7 minutes late and it was a 30 minute drive so he's so he went a little over the speed limit for the start of it and then calm her down but luckily he knows on the road or else they could have gotten hurt or even killed and but by the time he slowed down those traffic so he got the place at 12:03 and well he just went to his office and checked on everything and cleaned and made sure nothing bad would happen but he heard a phone call. hello hello oh yeah it is me again I tried giving you that warning the last time but you're not going to take it so I'm going to tell you in the hardest way I can and that is damn electronics will try to forcefully stuff you into a Freddy suit but pretty much saw in your face and pretty much that's what happened to the last guard so just be careful I guess but yeah I'm finishing my last week cuz a matter of fact yeah the last card was the one before mine yeah I don't know I'm calling it your last one but it's a awkward just trust me with this I know you probably say I was crazy last time but I'm going to redeem myself but I'm going to send the VHS tapes the company said not to to prove to you that those animatronics are nothing but bad and they always will be so I recommend you just stop messing with them or else they will mess with you in the most Gory way possible they will make sure they rip you live from when they will make sure you do not survive trust me well that's the end of the call goodbye. I thought the guy was crazy. Mike continued his night and well he got curious and he went by the animatronics they smelled disgusting and he saw a drip of blood fall out Mike just cleaned it up thinking it was just water pipes or something but cuz he got Mike just cleaned it up thinking it was just water pipes or something but cuz he Mike just cleaned it up thinking it was just water pipes or something but he got told not to look in the animatronic so he just ignored him and just cleaned he cleaned up the place and finished his night and then he just left thinking that exact drop of blood he realized something was deadly wrong so hey just text again and again and again he couldn't find anything so he heard a knock on the door it was 2:00 a.m. so he didn't care he saw on the cameras it was a police officer her named is Vanessa Mike learned when she told him when he opened the door Vanessa walked in. Mike showed her to her office and he was told about kids went missing in 1987. They never found the bodies. She asked Mike why did you choose this job is this something you think of yourself being at 10-20 years. Mike said no. She told Mike I have to go. Mike said okay cuz it was 5:59 a.m. Mike had to go anyways and he did he went in his car and left and went home and disgust on the phone with his own with the house on her he lives in and they talked about if they can postpone his rent to be later the owner agreed and said we will but if you do this again I will charge you extra.
**Scene 5
It was 7:38 pm and teenagers thought Freddy's place would be a good place to party they went inside and set up everything at 9:54 pm a kid went in the kitchen and saw chica and laughed because he didn't think chica was alive and went by her mouth and chica opened her mouth and peeled his head skin the boy screamed but the speakers where loud. Chica pickled at his meat as she went more and more deep as the cupcake jumped at the boys stomach and ripped his guts and blood on the ground as the blood was gory and one of the girls went to check on him and the cupcake jumped at her biting her face open. One teen went behind the stage with her boyfriend and saw Freddy put his microphone down her throat deep and ripped it out of her neck inside her and he stomped on her face. The boyfriend got scared but Freddy put his arm in his eye holes as he rips his head from there. Another group of friends went in the janitor closet to tell each other the scary horror story of Freddy fazbear pizza place and the light went off and the door opens and closed and the light was back on and they saw Bonnie in there with them as he uses his guitar in one put it in thee boys mouth and putting it out of his back ripping his torso open the teens tried to escape but the doors where locked and bonnie toookk them out one by one. In the dining room foxy ran at them using his hook to kill them slicing there brains out and golden Freddy desposes the bodies.
Scene 6**
Mike went to his office and cleaned the pizza place but phone guy called. Hello hello yeah as you can see I'm back from the call I know you're probably thinking right now and this guy talking about where you found out either way I'm going to help you no matter what even if I am dead right now and probably am I get that because they don't like me they will get to know you and they will like you I will give you hints that I found out on the way they are ghosts children I mean if I was forced to sing songs for decades I would be mad too because that is kind of bad basically no one caught who did I found it out because I'm not dumb and I am actually very smart at least I think but probably not I know exactly will have the bite of 87 happen that's what we call it basically Mike it was dangerous basically this child got bit in the forehead by foxy yeah pretty crazy stuff foxy but the kid raising his suck at him yeah the kid at least yeah the kids did not survive sadly imagine having to write that note to the parents or the parents right now basically they gave him a discount to me that's pretty messed up in the brain like if your child I would you want to do that no I'm not saying that you don't have kids or if you do I don't know anything about you probably know you can be the owner's child right right yeah you probably are knowing your name and that's the same name that's his and he did change his name and it will be new in the public is a start with an s because someone tried leaking the full name I'll ask is if you are him do not try killing me do not be like your father because I found out he's the one and as soon as I get going with this job you know what I'm going to do I'm going to report it to the police station and they're going to find out all the evidence cuz I found the bodies but I didn't remove them because that's disgusting their children dead in the suits I know you I'm guessing you're only doing this because your father told you to let me tell you something why you can stop right now you can at least I mean you were 6 years old when you accidentally killed your brother and dwell changes your name and everything all I ask I don't remember what happened and the year 1983 that's all I have to say goodbye. What Mike said. As he thinks I don't even remember being a child before I was 12. Mike was confused it was 2:00 a.m. he realized Bonnie moved and moved and he got scared Mike right now if his office try to get the exit the exit doors lock so you run back to his office went underneath Bonnie's legs as Barney tried trapping him with his kneecap almost freaking Mike got loose and ran to his office door and closed it and he started realizing phone guy was crazy as he thought Mike knew he was wrong the whole time Mike thought he knew they where not alive but he was wrong bonnie slamed the door trying to get in but left. He closed all doors at 5:00 a.m. and waited it was 6:00 a.m. he left. Mike found Vanessa and told her their alive Vanessa. She said I know they are they are just kids you shouldn't mess with them like do not harm them in any way just quit your job and leave every one you know that is a child out of this place or else they will get dangerously hurt said vanessa mike went to bed.. to be continued next week
Up for part 2

Still bewildered I caught one in the wild. I flew from San Juan to Detroit today and in front of me there was a couple with a young child, maybe about 1, in the window and middle seat, and a middle aged man in the aisle seat. The flight itself was pretty uneventful, the baby was a bit fussy and moving around and crying a little, but nothing out of the ordinary for a little kid. I think mom and dad got up once or twice and brought her to the bathroom to get changed.
After we land and people start shuffling to get their luggage, the older man starts wagging his finger and raising his voice at this couple, saying “You need to stay put and wait! You have been so inconsiderate this entire flight!!” The couple is understandably kind of bewildered by this because, like I said, they didn’t do anything wrong. The husband is says something to the effect of “sorry what are you talking about we haven’t done anything!?” And this hothead just keeps laying into them.
At this point I could tell they were a bit rattled so I pipe up “hey sir you need to calm down, they are flying with a baby and you are way out of line.” Then of course he starts spouting off at me “you don’t know what they did, you didn’t see!” Never mind I just spent 5 hours 11 inches away from them but whatever. I just reply “dude they are traveling with an infant, I’m sorry you’re so stressed but how about we give each other a little grace here?” He then starts telling me to shut up, etc etc, but other people are now looking at the scene he’s causing and he just clams up.
After a tense minute or so he walks away to deplane, and the poor wife starts apologizing to me, as if they had done anything wrong. I was just like “yeah look clearly he has some issues, I’d rather he yell at me than at you guys in front of your kid.”
Anyway to the jackass in 16D on flight 1913: get professional help. My only regret is not calling the flight attendant over to get you on the NFL.

After much research (here and online), close observation of personal symptoms / experiences and some hypothesized scenarios I may have a solution for at least a few physical symptoms that appear on the surface of our bodies.
I am not a doctor.
Background: I initially thought MD was alien in origin, but I gave that idea up because only crazy people believe in aliens. ;-)
Then I considered that it could be an ancient plague from days of old, but the study of children from 3 centuries ago (in England?) did not include the terrible symptoms many suffer today. So what we have today is relatively recent...
1) in researching this stuff I've found there are flesh dwelling fleas in the middle and far east mostly associated with dust, mold and fungi.
2) there are also studies examining the development (read weaponization) of parasitic fleas.
3) then I learned of graphine oxide. Wicked stuff that actually resembles small hairs, can activate with water and electricity and can be programmed...
So in my humble opinion this sh!t is a man-made 'kill-switch.' But to what purpose? Surely something so contagious and physically debilitating would not be released by anyone. What would be the point if everyone dies? Not even tree-huggers or globalist are that dedicated to depopulization.
So there must be a ready remedy that is available in most war-time scenarios. A remedy available to enemy combatants.
Salt is one natural remedy that offers some relief. Vitamin C is another. Sulfur is another. And then there is light...
I came to understand that this stuff is not a fan of light. The bright lights of medical facilities likely explain why doctors can't see what is troubling us just below the skin. I figured this out when I felt something moving around on an overcast day. When my flash went off prior to the camera focusing, the wyrm simply disappeared. This stuff is photophobic! In our bodies it becomes relatively inactive under bright light. Actually it hides.
Then I saw the thread about red light therapy.
I am not a doctor. This is simply my experience.
Not living near a red-light district and having no red light bulbs, I grabbed a small key chain laser.
When I moved the laser across the skin it felt as if I was brushing the surface with a soft thin brush. But I could only feel the sensation in places that had the wyrms. Another halucination? Nope.
To my astonishment when I pointed the laser at a small black sore (one of many much larger spots on my hand) for a brief period it seemed to fade. Unbelieving I hit the spot again for another brief moment. The spot scraped off with my finger nail with just a little pressure!
Then I tried one of the many tracks these wyrms use / leave when they move. The track disappeared! Seriously. Simply moving the laser back and forth along the track virtually eliminated it from observation.
When I tried the technique on a larger (more infested) spot the things immediately turn on the clear slime and when that fails they begin to move away.
The clear slime is not effective against the intense LIGHT of the laser! Additionally the laser is strong enough to penetrate slightly below the surface of the skin; right where this sh!t lives.
(To help contain the movement away from the laser I use a mixture of antibiotic ointment and OTC Sore Throat spray containing phenol. Applied liberally and frequently AROUND the infected area keeps the buggers in place.)
Your results may vary. I suggest trying the technique on spots not readily visible until you get an idea what the results are.
This method may be effective on the extremely fragile and tender skin of the face.
I have tried both red and blue lasers with similar results.
So, if inclined, give it a try.

this is going to be long. i don’t think i can capture the whole situation without some backstory. i’m doing my best to keep it brief.
let me start off by saying that my mom was a teen mom and i (23) am the oldest of her children. my biological father is not in the picture and he hasn’t been since i was very young. my mom always encouraged me to be comfortable in having no contact with him despite the fact that he was my father. if he treated me poorly, i shouldn’t have to put up with him. my mom married again, i got a younger sister out of that, and she divorced that man and is now with a man that is the father of none of her children. he has three kids of his own that he has always blatantly valued more than us. he always considered us ‘bad’ kids. especially my brother as he was the only boy in the house. this is no secret. its something we’ve brought to my mom’s attention ever since they met. something she even used to acknowledge. they’ve been together several years, probably since i was around 8 years old.
i’m from the south and they’re very classic conservative. as a kid i had a real problem with their homophobia before i even realized that i was queer. we used to get into horrible screaming matches over the things they said because at the time, they didn’t know they were saying these things about me. i think that’s the reason so much of the nasty things they said stuck with me for so many years.
fast forward to 2019. i moved with my boyfriend (who i feel it’s important to the story to mention is trans, but had not yet begun the process of transitioning when we first met so he was not out to my mother) she saw us as lesbians. i think this upset her because before i met my current boyfriend, i had been with a cis man.
in 2020, i lived with my boyfriend as well as his parents. they are much more open minded than my family. when covid came around my mom was quick to deny it. and that was not surprising to me in the slightest, it didn’t even really phase me. i didn’t act any different toward her, i just remember feeling lucky not to live there at the time because i was considered high risk. i also lived in an area of mainly people over 60. i do not want this to turn into a covid debate, but i feel that it’s crucial to what happened.
in november of 2020, i felt comfortable enough to visit her. we talked on the phone about it for months leading up to the visit and she made it very clear that she and the rest of my family that lived in her house had no problem wearing a mask for the few months leading up to my visit. this was really important to me as my step dad is a cop. he interacts very closely with people every day.
so when we visited, my mom had planned for all of us (myself, my boyfriend, my mom, my step dad, my younger sister, her friend, my older step sister, her husband, her toddler, and her newborn) to cram into a van together and go look at drive through christmas lights. we wouldn’t all fit legally in the same car and the lights were kind of a drive away, so my boyfriend had driven my mom’s car and my mom had driven the van. we stopped at a gas station close to our destination in order to pile into the van.
that’s when my step father and step sister went into the gas station without wearing masks. i felt lied to and disrespected by my mom so i admit that i was upset and probably wasn’t using the kindest tone, but this is not something i would ever cut contact over. i didn’t even want to argue about it.

There a toy I been thinking of i literally can’t remember the name of they were like these 3D disk type toys that you could flip with your finger and they were the size of your palm of your hand and they had all different designs on them some of them had a mirror in them and were transparent to see the middle of the inside of the design and they were collectable and they even had a number on the bottom you entered into the website to keep track of your collection and they also had a blue gun to shoot them out sideways and they roll on the floor and they also had this black dish with mirrors in the inside and a with a hole at the top that created a 3D optical illusion you can put them inside to creat it as well and you could buy blind bags of them at like any store like Walmart to get more to your collection

I am currently brainstorming some ideas for a pirate-themed card game.
This game will be for 2-6 players. The concept of the game is that each player controls a pirate captain card, and in the middle of the table is a line of pirate character cards, let's call them NPC cards. The goal is to recruit the NPCs to join your pirate crew, and the first player to recruit 5 pirates wins the game. There are other card types in the game. The first is event cards, which are drawn at the start of the player's turn. The event cards change the game slightly; some provide temporary buffs/nerfs to the players. For example, players might lose a resource each turn, or a player might be unable to counter your recruitment attempt, etc.
The next set of cards are action cards. These cards allow you to interact with the NPCs and other players. For example, if a player is attempting to recruit an NPC, you can play the bribe action card, which forces the NPC to stay in the middle of the table and not be recruited for that turn.
The next part is what I'm struggling with. I want to have tokens in my game, called resources. These resources are what you use to try and recruit the NPCs. The resources are gold, rum, weapons, and supplies. Each captain starts with a different set of resources. For example, Captain Blackbeard starts with 2 gold and 1 weapon. Each captain starts with different resources.
Initially, the way players gathered resources each turn was by having another deck called the resource deck. When you draw a resource card, you check what resource it is, for example, if it has 2 gold and 1 supply, you will collect 2 gold and 1 supply from the bank and then place that resource card back under the resource deck.
That was how you collected resources in the game, but I'm unsure if having a resource deck, an action deck, and an event deck is too many decks. So I am struggling with whether I should keep the resource deck in the game or not. Another option is having a board that allows players to move to different squares, and landing on certain squares can give you resources too. But I'm not sure what would be better or if there is another way.

So I had my suspicions this was who he was being weird about. I saw the same behaviors going on with that name in his phone for the next few months. About two months ago, I went to dinner with two old co-workers. They brought up that woman, and said another co-worker had said she had a drug addiction and lost her job. Me f40 was letting my daughter f17 use my back up car to get to work. She totaled the car and said she spaced out, I found out she was drinking that night and texting when it happened. She said, I'm sorry you can have the $500 I have saved(already in my possession). The car is worth around 1500, but I had about 4,000 into it. I had liabity so got 0 from it. 2 weeks ago I bought her a brand new dell computer for college and did a $400 repair on the car. I do gig work full time so a 2nd car is my job security. The very next day she wanted to go stay the night with her bf, I was very addimant that she wasn't allowed to go but she left anyway. Came home in the morning demanded her money back, starting throwing everything around my room litteraly, looking for it because I said no. she threw a bowl of suger and my cup of coffee so the kitchen was a huge mess. Her other 2 siblings got involved and the cops were called after she started hitting me, when the cops came she was still trying to throw stuff at me and when they tried to restrain her she ended up being charged with assaulting an officer and interfering with official acts. She hasn't found a place to live to attend college when I move and now has to start over saving for a car. She also hasn't made arrangements to get to school so I took the computer. I also took back one of my phones she was using because she completely shattered her iphone im still paying for, it wont even come on. As if that wasn't enough I sent her bf 24m a text telling him all truths she's been lying about, including cheating and where she was at the night she wrecked my car. She also said i stole her money and thats what lead to the argument when she got arrested. He's caught her before and I insist she tells him the truth and she always says she did. They are still together and she is at his house as long as he's home, he lives alone and after almost a year she can't live there, meet his family or even be at his house when he's not home. He never helps her with anything money wise and takes money from her when he makes significantly more, a nice savings and several credit cards. I don't want her with him obviously, but she defies me everytime I say she can't go over. When we have family day and go out to swim or fish , she doesn't join if hes not working. Her siblings are hurt by it as well as me and she doesn't care how we feel. She makes plans with us and leaves in the middle. I'm really not talking to her and if she asks for anything I tell her to ask her bf. I do not feel bad about her 500, she makes over 400 a week and has been consistently for 3 months now after taking 2 weeks off and starting a new job. AITA for building a DND 3.5 character with a higher power level than the rest of the party/group?

BACKGROUND
so, a little background, ive been a member of a teens-youg adult group at a local gameshop for a few years now and aside from the DMs everyone has stayed from when i first joined, as for the current DM he has run the last 3 campaigns (a VTM, WTA and the current 3.5) and definatly seems of the CN variety as he tends not to stress the hard details/rules too much and often decides against looking up specific rules (called shots, unusual battlegrounds, special attacks, multiclass rules, etc) in favor of creating a quick patch for the circumstances and keeping with it should it come up again(unless someone brings up a specific concern). he plays by the rules of "the stronger you make your characters the stronger monsters you'll find" (which is fine, keeps encounters interesting and you get cooler monsters to fight). as for character creation we started lvl 4 and it was my first time playing 3.5 (had experience with pathfinder 1e tho) he allowed a surprising amount of books to draw from and i decided to make a cleric of gorum (pathfinder battle deity i ran by him first) and eventually landed on a half ogre(from savage species 1 lvl adjustment, +6 str -2dex +2con -2 int -2cha, large size) 1 lvl in barbarian with variant whirling frenzy rage, 2 lvl cleric with war(greatsword) and str domains. i continued to lvl cleric to lvl 3 and then just before THE SESSION took place i took a lvl in shaman (oriental adventures, domains: str and wrath), the feats he had were power attack, additional rage and battle jump(oriental adventures, different from battle leap) at this point we were lvl 6.(side note, all characters had max hp for their hit dice per lvl). the party consisted of: half elf paladin of freedom(healer, frontliner), an assimar cleric of anubis (healer, damage caster), bugbear pugilist fighter(tank/vanguard, comic relief), and me(healer, dps and slight glass cannon)
THE SESSION
the session started out pretty standard, we had spent the last 8 or so sessions exploring a megadungeon and we had left off in some catacombs, few traps here and there we arrive at where the main fight happens, we were fighting a giant praying mantis and a giant python, me, the paladin and the fighter start fighting the mantis and the anubian cleric starts a sandstorm around the python, a few rounds in and the mantis is mostly down due to my damage(i have noticed in a few prior fights that i have a significantly higher dps than the rest but i brushed it off with the thought that i also had the least hit points and get much closer to dieing most fights), meanwhile the python has managed to grab the cleric and has started constricting him rendering him somewhat in a pickle, the paladin on their turn (just before mine) manages to finish the mantis off so i decide to pull out the combo that i had just assembled on the python, using my str domain ability and having had both animal's frenzy and bulls strength + rage on me i had quite the str that round (32 for a +11str) and i used both battle jump and Rino's rush(from the wrath domain) to give a x4 to my charge attack and deal a nice round 160 dmg in one strike, as i was somewhat explaining what i was doing the others(fighter and paladin) were warning me against it due to prior rule regarding powerful characters and that i might hit the cleric(to which i was confidant enough my at the moment +21(which rolled to a 33) to hit wouldn't miss the snake), as i concluded damage calculations the dm looked to the other cleric and said to take half(80) of that damage which already being down 30-40 hitpoints instantly killed them and the dm promptly explained that the snake had only received 80 dmg as well and that it was due to how the constriction worked. i then proceeded to get somewhat berated by F and P (the cleric was somewhat quiet and had somewhat continued to work on his tank backup he ironically had been making before the session began) about how i shouldn't have assumed that the DM would let me just hit the snake and not my own ally(it is worth mentioning at this point two things, A. that no one had landed a hit on the snake during constriction and thus we didnt know the damage sharing ability and B. that even without the battle jump and rino's rush if i just walked up to the snake and hit it twice(not difficult with +21 against aproxamate ac 22) i still would have likely ended up killing the cleric since he stated that even 36 damage would have instakilled him (avg damage per hit with these buffs applied added up to 3d6(13.5)+23 dmg and constriction and or bleed would kill him) and when i protested to the dm that there are ways to deal damage without striking it down the middle (ex, cut off the snake's heat) he said i never asked for a called shot. i was then declared to have moved down to chaotic evil (priorly CN who at the start of the campaign was CG and had moved down due to breaking a parley declared by ambushing kobolds and a kobold mage whom i thought would be enemies of the faith due to gorum's tenants which in hindsight was meant to become a social encounter) despite (at that point) my intent to grieve once the battle was over(the cleric had been the kindest in the party thus far and i was still trying to play CG). i could somewhat see where the alignment change had come from since actions determine alignment and thus i could still reclaim my alignment by properly displaying my atonement and sorrow and desire to do better(and i spent a good few minutes trying to figure out how to revive him cause at this point i knew i had screwed up and needed to try to fix it). aside from that it was now the fighter's turn and at this point i got slightly distracted trying to help cleric with his backup and went to grab/check the index of a book on the far shelf, when i returned a minute later it was the python's turn and it attacked me (naturally) and had transformed into a dragon(which at this point was the only time id seen the dm rebalance a combat mid combat) which then proceeded to one-shot me to death despite only being down 10hp this whole fight and as far as im aware he never even bothered to ask for AC(when i had just made a massive AC boost from scale male to +1 plate earlier no less) and when the paladin attacked after both us clerics hit the floor and got a 32 to hit on a smite missed, after P and F consulted about escaping and/or retrieving the anubian cleric's body(whom it was stated was beginning to be devoured alongside mine) the dm did some deus ex machina'ing (which he has done before mostly to prevent large numbers of character deaths in the past and not unusual for the table considering we swim in powerful company frequently). after the session as me and cleric were setting up new characters and after being threatened if i made another min-maxed character(of which there was very little of deliberatly done, im not known for playing broken characters (gimmicky? yes, broken? rarely or only as ideas) cleric said that he was fine with me having killed his character which helped me feel a bit better about the whole thing but im still troubled about how DM, P and F reacted respectively to the event. I (23m) got caught doing the deed with my brother (15m) girlfriend (18f). Let me give some back story on this.
Our families go way back, our parents have been friends since I was born. When they had my brothers girlfriend I was instantly in love with her, despite the age gap. She however fell for my brother, which annoyed me because she was mine first he knew i liked her. It may of never worked out but whatever. Fast forward to the night it all went down, we were at a house party my buddy was throwing and she just looked so sexy i couldn’t resist her, i went up to her and started casual conversation which eventually turned into flirting and heavy petting, next thing i knew i was putting my drink on a table and taking her hand up to the bedrooms. We kicked different couple out in the middle of their sexy time. I started kissing her and asked if it was okay which she replied, come get me baby i always wanted you more, so we started and it was the best i ever had. 20 minutes later my brother walked in and saw us while she was in doggy. This is kind of a rant kind of a question. What is this symptom and why is it happening?
Edit;sorry, by during my period, I meant in the days leading up to it, it kind of gets better towards the end of my period. Day 1 and 2 are hell. Otherwise I’m normal.
I (14ftm) seem to go absolutely batshit when my period starts. I just read over texts from my past 2 periods and I’m seriously scratching my head here. I was arguing with someone about how black I am..? (I’m biracial, which I normally don’t care about.) I reported someone for drug use, not because I cared, but because they annoyed me. And I mean mildly annoyed me. I feel like shit, and I dont understand why the hell I was acting the way I was acting. It was a complete 180 from my normal behavior.
I’m kind of scared, I don’t like how vindictive I got. I would never want to intentionally hurt someone like that. What if I do something worse? Why was I acting so dramatically. I was talking to a few people about it and they said it’s hormones(by the way I’m not on testosterone or anything). It doesn’t make sense though. Why are hormones that are normal making me act so out of character?
I also remember being told that I was throwing stuff around and being mean to my dog. I was NOT physically abusive to the dog, but I was saying how she ruined my life or something. And I have tendencies to disappear for hours at a time while I’m on my period. The littlest thing sets me off and then I’m gone. And I’m angry for a long time. I cringe just thinking about it.. Like dude it doesn’t matter.
I just don’t like hurting people, what do I do? Also- if it matters this has been going on for 8 months, and got a little since worse I started ssris, I’ve since stopped the antidepressants because I thought they were the cause. On Artificial Intelligence

This leads us to Artificial Intelligence. Modern large language models (LLMs) and artificial intelligence systems, despite their sophisticated capabilities, are constructs without true volition or understanding. Basically, an LLM is an advanced version of autocomplete. These systems operate on vast datasets and algorithms designed to predict and generate human-like text (or audio or images), but they lack genuine consciousness, intent, and moral agency. Unlike beings created with the divine spark in Tolkien's world, LLMs do not possess free will or intrinsic purpose; they are tools made by humans to process and mimic patterns. Some commentators have even referred to AI as an alien intelligence, a ~shoggoth with a human face~, meaning that while the text may look humanlike, in reality, it originated not from a human but from an unknowable, formless alien process, which is the LLM.

Of course, while the analogy between LLMs and Orcs highlights the artificial nature and purpose-driven creation of both, there are clear and fundamental differences in moral intent and potential for ethical use. LLMs are not (as far as we know) inherently evil constructs. They seem to be neutral tools that reflect the intentions of their creators and users. As such, the focus should be on ensuring that AI development and deployment are guided by ethical principles to maximize their benefits and minimize potential harm. That said, as with social media, we may come to regret the technology and wish to fling it back into Mordor's fire.
