I have been a fan of Minecraft for about as long as i was a child, and it's been pretty much the only game I've played growing up. As a player, I really enjoy taking my time and enjoying each moment of a game, which is why I decided to set up this long-term server with no planned world resets.
I have participated in a few survival Minecraft SMPs over the last couple of years and I'm keen to give back and create a new community around this fantastic game.

I ‘26M’ am looking for some book recommendations revolving around relationship dynamics. Specifically toxic, healthy and everything in between. Some personal favourites are Games People Play by Eric Berne, Gaslighting by Stephanie Sarkis, Love Me Don’t Leave Me by Michelle Skeen, Insecure in Love by Leslie Becker-Phelps, and The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read by Philippa Perry.
Looking to expand my horizons and gain a deeper understanding of my own relationship with my SO as well as relationships in general.

Rant begin. I have gotten pretty far into this game, about 100 hours in, and now to complete a side quest I have to win the Gold Cup. There have been so many absolutely horrific and terrible side quests in this game and this one takes the cake. I do not understand why developers feel The need to punish players - this is a take on a classic RPG not a souls game. And some you need to do to progress! Its unbelievable.
This gold cup chocobo racing for example. After all the bullshit I’ve dealt with in mini games and side quests they keep it going with this? I’m 100 hours in and have completed everything so far and want to quit the entire game here because it’s utterly impossible to win the FIRST RACE OUT OF F*CKING TEN. I don’t understand how they play test it, and find everything to be okay. I am just done. Rant end.

Still fairly new to this game, but I’m on my NG play through and have a few questions about the set Grace of The Supreme.
My level is 150 and I’m just trying to understand how to distribute the points because I’ve heard different things thrown around.
So it says to get the bonus, u need to have at least 3 of ur 5 virtues within 20 points of the average which is AFAIK 30 if I’m 150.
Can a genius please tell me what the highest value I can make a stat versus the lowest?
My average is 30 so AFAIK the highest I can make a stat is 49 and the lowest is 11?
And am I still getting the 5 virtues benefit if I decide to make 1 of my stats 49 because again AFAIK, I should be since I’m still within 20?

Backstory: Like everyone else here I come from a dysfunctional family with a history of abuse. There was also a religious aspect so a lot of shame/guilt/projections etc.
I'm coming to terms with the fact that I was pretty much brainwashed and had an incredibly distorted view of reality that only got better after a psychotic episode I had late adolescence/early adulthood. Im trying to "go through the fire" rather than just "move on" from the trauma and to put everything in a different lens has been earth shattering and heartbreaking for me. But I have a younger sibling that I'm especially worried about.
She's in high school right now, a little older than I was when I first started showing signs of the diagnosis I have now but she's definitely not well adjusted and in alignment with her peers. I played a part in her trauma though. I was not protective of her the way I should've been and treated her the way I was treated by my older siblings. When I was in hs I did what I could to be a better brother but I was starting to lose my mind and often isolated myself. She was just a kid and when I started having hallucinations I would 'hear' her knocking on my door asking to play again :(.
My mental health is better, hard to say by how much but only time will tell. I want to dedicate the rest of my life to being there for her and my family in a real sense and I'm not sure how. I didn't have a support system going through my HS years and psychosis other than hospitalizations and bouncing from therapist to therapist, so I don't really know what to do. As of rn, we bond over video games and I try to play with her when she can but I'm worried it's not enough. I'm worried that not being there when she was young and the times I was cruel and what I now see as abusive will prevent a bridge of trust for us. I'm worried she's closing herself of from the world and will end up like I did — isolated and vulnerable.
Is there anything I can do to be a better brother? A better support? I ask this sub specifically because not everyone can fill in some blanks for certain relationships dynamics. Some siblings don't get along and it's seen as normal but in our family there's no room or excuse for me to be anything but positive and uplifting and I see that now.
If anyone has made progress in their healing, what's externally has helped you? Whos helped you and how?

For a bit of context, the last 4 years, my father was very sick with a multitude of illnesses. Heart disease, kidney failure, possible lung cancer, etc. etc. Even before this, he was an abusive man. Physically, especially when we were younger but verbally when we got older. He died just last summer, and all the problems we ignored are bubbling up. I have become a sort of therapist for my family during this time. Which is a bit inappropriate considering I was only 16 when this all started. Now on to the actual issues. This all started over something stupid, a cardgame, I asked my mom if she was willing to playa game after dinner with my younger sibling, who i will now refer to as Saturn, and myself. She agreed until dinnertime came around and she got a horrible migraine. She went up to bed after dinner to hopefully ride out the migraine. I of course was a little disappointed but I didn't make a big deal out of it. I get migraines too and know how bad they can get. Saturn went upstairs shortly after. I was left alone downstairs by myself with all of our family photos and my mind started to wandor back to my dad. He wasn't the best father but he loved us the best he could. And on nights like this he would have played with us instead and I got stuck on memory lane amd got emotional. Whenever I get emotional I go non-verbal. So fast forward an hour or so and mom comes down. I am still non-verbal and she notices something us wrong. She questions me but u can't talk. She gets upset that I can't answer her. Saturn comes down and I text them so they can talk to mom. Mom gets upset again that I was upset. Something important is that we never do anything I suggest. I express interest in something and she says she'll take me and never does. I brought this up to her. She said she'll work on it. She didn't. She than goes off on a rant about how she is trying hard to be good mother and that we don't appreciate it and that she most be a failure all because she has a migraine. We try to explain that no, we aren't upset. You wanted to know why I was upset and didn't wait to let her explain. She goes upstairs. Saturn and myself sit in the living room seething. We go uo to try to talk to her. And she is very impatient and flippant. I am not aloud more than two words at a time. The worst part is that everything that happened tonight I have talked to her about before. She promises to change and never does. I am sick of fixing everyone else's problems and shouldering all of the emotional baggage for everyone in my family. If I show any emotion that isn't joy or numbness I am yelled at. I am belittled. I am told that I am overreacting and that I need to get myself under control. I am sick and tired of being everyone's emotional and verbal punching bag. I wasn't even mad about the migraine. I just missed my dad. He may not have been the best father but he was still my dad. And it wasn't all bad. He got worse after he got sick.She didn't even let me explain before rushing off upstairs. She only stayed for 10 minutes. I can't take this anymore.

like honestly i know everyone is talking about it but its honestly ridiculous how horrible matchmaking is, i play mostly solos (because i have no friends) and its ridiculous that i keep getting matched with people who have like over a hundred kills with like 10,000 damage, my dudes im trying to do better and learn from the game not get obliterated at every corner without even a chance its frustrating that i dont even see a point to play the game when its like this.

Boardwalk expos are undoubtedly the best farm right now if you’re looking for legendary modules, EXP, stamps (600 stamps for full union armor next big patch in June) and random legendary drops (I got a unyielding SS piece from there). When done right, you get all these juicy goodies AND 20000 completion exp (with lunchbox buffs) under 5-7 mins.
I’ve been hosting my own runs for a while now and just thought I’d do a little tips and tricks for the community.
For newbies:

1. Join the Fallout 76 discords! This includes the Market76 discord as well. There’s a looking-for-group channel which always has people advertising for Boardwalk groups.
   
2. Don’t be afraid to try it out! Fun is subjective yes but it’s free content that’s thrown into the game! If you don’t like it after trying it, no problem! Community is also really nice and will help you out
   
3. Don’t worry too much about your gear for now. Build > gear (most of the time) and it doesn’t take much to get set up. Most players in the community are strong enough to solo all the enemies in boardwalk anyway. You can help out by learning objectives and doing them promptly
   

For veterans looking to get better:

1. Do the MAIN objectives and leave the emoting after killing competitiors to only AFTER you get into the aquarium. The best way to keep each run short is for the leader to be able to get into showman’s pier as fast as he can. See Overgrown Moonflower? Kill that shit, Unlock Keeper’s prisoner cages? Unlock that shit, fireworks? Wait at the next firework location to minimise time. You can do the competitor killing objective in the Aquarium while waiting for the escortee, waiting at Sharks Den and also while throwing Tatos.
   
2. Learn the teddy bear locations. There’s only 5. A quick YouTube search teaches you where all 5 of them will be and their location is always the same. Ideally the Leader shouldn’t be the one getting the teddy bear as he/she will be beelining to Jucchi/Jullian and then to the Aquarium. Thus, team members should be the ones gunning for the teddy bear
   
3. Power armor users STAY THE F*^% away from the escortee! The escort is probably the worst objective ever and you blocking them in the doorway is only going to make them slower! Instead you can run around opening doors and killing enemies to make the escortee AI smoother. I’ve also tested doing the escort in Private Sessions vs Public Servers and felt that the escortee is smoother in Private Sessions.
   
4. Hosts if you are stuck on the bench after waking up after talking to Mother Charlotte, open up your map, hover your cursor to a empty black diamond objective and click “Show on Pip boy” and make sure your view is on the animation where your character actually raises their hand to see the pip boy. It should unstuck you and let you get off the lawn chair.
   

Ultimately play how you want, the game is easy and casual enough for anyone to hop into but this post is meant for those who want to take it a step higher and maximise your expo runs for that sweet sweet exp or legendary modules.

People don't realized this game was never as popular as it is today. It make sense that country will try and implement some sort of ground on it before it's too late. China for example, they got full control on any sensitive pixels in the game. And I belive they can do much more if they wanted to.
France for example, removed a feature in game because the feature represented a "gambling loophole".
With the game now being bigger than ever, it only make sense for country to make sure they still have full control.
Remind you this is a online game we talking about, not crypto currencies. But a online game.
Yet countries need to make sure they don't let it slide by.
CS has made its own economy overtime, with it now being recognized internationally. It was never this big before, it was never this internationally connected. But it is now.
Along the way, the company needed player to advertise their game by playing it. Making it legit.
The conspiracy is that the company has now made it, everything seems legit. People were playing the game, the economy is backed by the fanbase.
It just seems like a waste to not make it something more than it already is. What they could do is get rid the current real legit playerbase, and hire workers to replace it. Doing this will make the entire cs economy theirs, no uncertain outside influences.
Of course this is all just a bit of a conspiracy theory.

I just had an awesome D&D game and I think my friend who was also the GM is both low key and high key an absolute genius.
Because, she came up with a brilliant campaign. I would love if Ludwig did something similar, I think it would make great content.
This occurred because her original party had some drama and split (which was why they didn't let me film it or reveal any identities. But, OMG I wish I could have because it was the best and funniest campaign I've seen in all 15 years of my playing this game.)
So being the geeks we are we settled the argument with a D&D duel... but a party vs. party duel. (I was called to fill in because someone rage quit over some other drama and they needed to keep the party numbers even. We are playing 4 vs. 4) She has essentially created a PVP version of D&D.
The campaign is: The city has been besieged by random monsters who keep appearing out of mysterious portals. So the Mayor has offered a thousand gold reward to the adventurers who kill the most monsters, thus thinning their numbers and keeping them at bay. Plus gold bonuses for reaching a certain amount of monster kills e.g. 100, 200, 1000. or for killing particular bosses.
However, kills can only be monsters. If you kill an NPC/townsfolk it is still considered murder. This and any other crime still applies if someone reports it to the city office and of course bounties will be put on anyone who commits a crime.
If caught, and jailed then found guilty you can be fined the 100g diamond dust each to resurrect the murdered (as long as their body is retrieved) or you will be executed if you cannot pay the fine(s). You can only claim the prize money or access the bank if your ledger is clear of any crimes.
We are playing the campaign on endless mode so we allow resurrection of party members, rescue from executions and buying new identities/re-rolling characters if you do get caught or killed but if you want to limit that, you can just end their character's story and have the player help the GM act out citizen NPCs when their character gets caught or killed. The other team...I mean ANYONE can claim the gold bounty if they assist in the capture of any criminal character. (We are also playing with friendly fire on, but that, again, is optional.)
To keep track of these kills/murders each team is assigned a guide played by the gm and given an enchanted bracelet (much like an iwatch). We used bards as the guides, but any class will do. This guide is a bit like a police officer or park ranger they show the adventurers around, they can be asked about knowledge of the terrain, city lore or rules of the tournament at any time. They also report back to the Mayor and enforce any rules/laws. (They can be killed, threatened or bribed but then they could also report you for the crimes or it could registered on the "enchanted bracelet" as a murder.) They are however a non-active party member who stays back away from the combat and offers minimal assitance when in town they go home or to the townhall head office to make reports and leave the adventurers to their plots and schemes.
You can claim the bonus gold or bounties at any time but only if you are in the city bank, there are no outstanding murders/crimes registered against you or a party member, and your guide is alive and around to verify it.
Here is the genius part, she runs each session turn based, team 1 one session then team 2 one session.
Here is where the game gets super fun: During your session, teams can sabotage each other as much as they want. Feed misleading intel to the citizens, plot assassinations of other party members, set traps, frame other party members for crimes, any shenanigans the players can think of to slow or eliminate the other party members is allowed. (My team this round divised a mail bomb which plays "pop goes the weasle" then fires an explosive weasel at their face. Which will be delivered to the other team next session.)
You can also come up with defenses or counter measures. Or you can get down to the business of racking up as many monster kills as possible by exploring the near by caverns or patrolling the city walls.
The other thing that was genius, is my friend set up a huge monitor and had AI generated art of things we described as we played, displayed on the screen in HD... so you immediately got some very vivid, graphic and bizarre images of the most random things. Like a weasle firing out of a jack in the box. 🤣
We also had a printer and laminator so that whenever an NPC, monster or even our own characters were described we could AI generate an image print it, laminate it and make it an instant token for the board.

I struggle just to qualify to the finals, when I do, this is how it goes, and I honestly don't care if I lose, but to lose to a dickhead, that just got the game and somehow has a Meta team and starts doing the Griddy every goal he scores, is fucking pathetic. He couldn't even play, he got a red card and then all of the sudden my guys went to sleep. He kept using his AI to stopped me and he barely did shit. This game is done, and it sucks that we don't have anymore options to play a football game that respects the sport and doesn't care about fucking money.

i (19f) had a birthday this week and decided it would be fun to go out with my friends on the weekend since we are all so busy with work and moving back home from college. most of us were available for the time and day i set so we were good to go. all week i’ve been so excited to see everyone since it’s been about 6 months since we’ve all been together since our lives have been changing a lot in this year that most of us have graduated from high school.
well come today i was getting ready and found a really cute dress that i just love since it just looks great on me and i pair it with a crop top that’s too small but works with the dress but it doesn’t fully cover my chest (big problem since i hate bras) so the dress has to fully cover it (if that makes sense). i shower, do my makeup, get dressed, and meet everyone giving out hugs and catching up at our first destination, an arcade. we have a great time playing games and hanging out beating each other in games we haven’t played in years it’s great. i decided to join a waitlist for a restaurant close so we could have better food and we have a kinda big party so i didn’t want to chance having to wait too long once we got there (important for later).
we start to cash out our tickets for candy and knickknacks and head over to the restaurant to meet up with more friends. when we get out our cars i text to check us in. we stand and wait outside for the second text message saying we can head inside. while talking we see our friends pull in then my best friend texts me to fix my dress. me being the idiot that i am stands up and asks what’s wrong not feeling the breeze on my breasts that have fallen through my two layers of clothes. i’m still so embarrassed and have no clue what to do i’m just still in shock 5 hours later. idk who all saw but i’m so scared that the guy i like saw me like that or even worse if the people around us saw it’s just so embarrassing idk what or how to feel about it i understand it’s an accident but i wish i could’ve avoided it and i feel like i could’ve. really just looking for advice or anything that could take my mind off of it, thank you!

I'm from Utah County and non-Mormon, so you can see the obvious fun I have dating /S. I'm not making this a sob story; the real reason I'm posting here is that it feels a bit more personal than most dating apps. I'm a pretty cheerful, confident guy. I can be a massive smartass and yap a lot, but I can have serious conversations and value communication. So, if you need an ear, I'm game, but do expect the same in return. I tend to be out and about a lot, usually doing stupid stuff and trying not to get hurt or in trouble while doing it. Most of the time, I'm a pro, but there are quite a few stories where I fumbled, lol. I like to work out. I mostly do calisthenics. I'm admittedly fairly skinny but decently toned. I've also taken up running, but I'm not Usain Bolt, lol. I also play video games, mostly military simulation games like Arma and OHD. I also play platformers like Mario and Sonic, with Sonic being my go-to for my neurodivergent self. I'm big into history, mostly WW2 and the Cold War, and some WW1. I'm actually working on making a Cold War-themed board game. On top of being a nerd, I do have a sensitive side. I know some of you have probably rolled your eyes, but hey, I like to write poems, and I'm a huge flirt when I warm up to someone. I'm looking for a sweet, caring person around my age and preferably living in the USA. I'm not picky, it's more important that we click, you know? As for my values, I'm very liberal and an atheist. Going straight to the point, I came from MTG (pauper, modern, and a bit of legacy). I do enjoy those games with back and forth and don't mind the eventual "combo" decks around.
That said, I faced two options.
The first one is playing GLC, which is singleton and cheap. My grip with this format is that, like the standard Pokemon format, there is a lot of waiting for you and your opponent.
The second is base-fossil/base-neo, a format that has this back and forth that I mentioned: trading blows and having limited resources to work. The thing is that it is not the cheapest to buy or the easiest to find the cards, but it seems to me like the better option.
I want to hear your opinion about GLC and vintage formats, even if they're not base-fossil, to find the best format for me.
