My 2006 2.5 rs
Hey guys so thought I’d start a chain of posts involving my wrx swap… I’m a apprentice mechanic who just did the head gasket replacement on the stock engine ( this includes timing belt kit, clutch kit and some exhaust repairs lol). I bought the car with the wing and gold rims (added the hood and scoop from the junkyard) don’t care what the sti purist say for now. Saving up for my wrx engine, harness (ecu) and tranny! I wanna do this as a project and a way to further my knowledge in my trade. Would love to hear from guys who have done the swap!! Also just saying I’m gonna keep the old engine and tranny just to study and might sell on eBay once I feel the need to! Also it’s manual lol and is pretty fun to drive as it is.
