As we all know the reveal of naruto and sasuke being the next reincarnation of Ashura and Indra. Created a huge controversy in the fan community. Rightfully because naruto was supposed to be a manga about fighting one's destiny to create your own path.
So I have a theory to reconcile this reincarnation thing. Would have been better if kishimoto didn't do it. But we gotta rationalize it or it ruins the whole story.
My theory is that naruto is that in naruto, reincarnation is not through birth forcibly but it's related to one's chakra. As we saw with two instances : - Bijus can come back even after being killed with their host because their chakra comes back - Orochimaru can come back because he split his chakra in many kids(dude is a menace and should be in jail)
So my point is that Indra(Uchiha curse) and Ashura(Senju's will of fire) can reincarnate in any hosts as long as there is two hosts that embody each one of the two path at the same time. And for this I will list a number of characters that I consider to have been potential candidate and it works as a perfect parallel for naruto and sasuke : - Hashirama/Madara they are reincarnation already - Tobirama/Izuna - Sarutobi/Danzo - Jiraya/Orochimaru - Minato/Itachi - Nagato/Shisui - Yamato-Killer bee/Kabuto-Anko - Kakashi/Obito - Sai-Gaara/Juugo-Suigetsu - Karin/Sakura ? They at least occupy the same function for naruto and sasuke - Naruto/Sasuke - Sakumo/Fugaku ?
I know some of these were alive at the same period as naruto and sasuke but I think they were either candidate or had to fill the same role for the current reincarnation So my point is that as long as the two candidate both embody the will of fire and the uchiha curse, the reincarnation would happen which is basically a special chakra that they get. We know that Naruto started to feel that after he defeated pain. We see him has flashback of that moment when the rikudo tell them about the reincarnation.
For the toad prophecy, we all know it is self fulfilling. Like many failed while they were believed to be the child of the prophecy : jiraya, nagato, minato. So this one doesn't go against the original message. Naruto having kyubi also is not him being given everything at birth. I hate when people say that. Being a jinchuriki was definitely a curse in the naruto world. And naruto literally had to train to control kyubi's chakra. naruto and killer made being a jinchuriki cool. He only learnt about his parents after he was recognize by the village as the only one who could help against pain. And minato putting his chakra there was more a gamble than anything.
Maybe I am trying too hard to rationalize it tho

Hi guys, I posted my 2 weeks itinerary here before leaving for Japan. We ended up skipping a lot of places due to the slower pace we took and unforseen circumstances. My husband and I decided to just really just enjoy the pace without rushing anything. My actual itinerary may not be for first timers or for anyone who intends to go to several tourist attractions in a day. Truth be told, we skipped a lot of tourist attractions as an intentional excuse to revisit in the future. For those who are interested in my actual itinerary, I hope it helps:-
(PS: I'll make a remark where I think the initial plan may have been workable if not for the unforseen circumstances. You can have my previous itinerary side by side to do a comparison and fine tune the itinerary for your trip. I will also link the restaurants we've been to for ease of reference):
11 April - Smooth transit at Narita Airport and flew in to Itami International Airport. Clearing Customs, collecting baggage took us about 45 minutes. We were at the Osaka Monorail Airport Station at about 8.40pm. Checked in our hotel in Tengachaya at about 9.30pm. We decided to just have dinner at a small family run restaurant nearby (5 minutes walk from hotel). The name of the restaurant is Kouraku and its run mainly by father and son. They are extremely friendly and the food was so comforting for our first night. We decided to not get the Amazing Pass as it does not come with a transport pass and the price did not justify as we were not going for tourist attractions.
12 April - Woke up at 8.30am and headed to Kizu Market. You will see a long queue leading to the Seafood Sashimi Don right outside of Kizu Market. I heard if their customers start queuing at about 5.30am just for the don. We were too tired the night before and decided to skip the line and bought some sashimi from inside the market itself. We then went on a shopping walk in Parco Shinsaibashi (anime lovers, 6th floor is where you want to go), Shinsaibashisuji and made our way to Dotonburi. We tried the cream puffs at Mooken, had the strawberry daifuku in Shinsaibasuji, Takoyaki at Takoyaki Juhachiban, some mitarashi dango, King Crab Ice Cream, Pudding at Mattari-Purin, Kinryu Ramen and then went to Shinsekai. We wanted to head up Tsutenkaku but we were too late as their last entry was 6.30pm. We then walked back to the hotel, passing by Mega Don Quijote and decided to do some shopping there.
13 April- arrived at Osaka Castle at 8.30am. Had some sandwich from Lawson. Took a stroll in at the perimeter of Osaka Castle where they were having some stalls. Had the 100yen cake there and went into Osaka Castle. As indicated, we didn't buy the Amazing Pass and we ended up buying the Metro day pass for Osaka (820 yen for weekdays and 620yen for weekends). With the day pass, we got a discount for the entry ticket for Osaka Castle and we skipped the line. We then visited the Hokoku Shrine opposite of the exit of Osaka Castle and had some Sakura Mochi. Then we headed to Udon Kisuke in Umeda for lunch and 2nd round lunch at Onigiri Gorichan. After lunch, we dropped by Nintendo Store in Umeda and walked around the mall there, We then spent our evening at Yodoboshi and had dinner at Unagi Kushiyaki Idumo (be there by 8.30pm as you will be denied entry if you can't get in by 9.30pm). We wanted to visit LUCUA but it was closed by the time we arrived so we only ended up having dinner as the basement closes at 11.30pm whilst the shops above close at 8.30pm.
14 April - Headed to Shinsaibashi around 10.30am as the croissant shop we wanted to try opens at 11.00am only. We had Le Croissant (make sure you try the 'Very Egg'). Then we walked to Namba Parks to check out Tower Records. My husband ended up spending some time in a hardware shop as he was fascinated by the range of products they had. We spent our afternoon in Nipponbashi, shop hopping for figurines, 2nd hand electronics etc. Not to forget the 5 stories Tenga shop. I can't remember what we had for lunch, probably would've skipped lunch. Then we did the karting experience (I know I will be criticised for this, but we decided to do it as a one-off thing). After that, we went back to Namba Meoto Zenzai for dessert. We decided to be adventurous and walked into Ichimizen for dinner before heading back to the hotel to do our laundry.
15 April - Caught a train to Himeji Castle. Tried Eki Ben which we bought from Himeji Station. The sakuras were in full bloom so we walked and slowly strolled around Himeji Castle. We also walked aimlessly along the residential area without Google maps and ended up getting lost. LOLX. Passed by a small cafe in a quiet shopping street and tried the Match pie from Lotteria fast food joint before taking a train to Kobe. Visited Chinatown in Kobe but sadly most of the shops were closed. So we had some average tasting Chinese food and headed back to the hotel.
16 April- We woke up late due to the fatigue from traveling the night before. Headed to Kobe Beef Kisshokichi (they have several outlets. Its easy to spot as there will be a Spiderman on or in the premise) for lunch. I think we went to the Sannomiya branch where they served Donburi on the 1st floor whilst serving Teppanyaki on the 2nd floor. We then headed to Kobe Maritime Museum. We spent the whole afternoon there as the museum is related to my husband's line of work. We then walked around Harbourland and went back to Sannomiya for dinner. Had the best ramen in Gashoken. (PS: You can always skip the Maritime museum and head to Kobe Tower and Anpanman Museum instead).
17 April- Caught an early train to Arima Onsen. Stroll along old street in Arima Onsen. Enjoy onsen at Kin no Yu before taking a bus to Kyoto. There is only 2 buses per day to Kyoto and multiple buses to Osaka. I wouldn't spend a whole day in Arima Onsen unless staying in a Ryokan. Alternatively, you can cover Mount Rokko as well by taking a cable car down from Arima Onsen. We took the day as a chill day after the past few days of hectic moving around. Had dinner in Yakitori Daikichi. We stayed around Nijo Castle so it was within 5 minutes walking distance from our hotel.
18 April- There is no day pass in Kyoto so we moved around Kyoto mostly on foot. Had some Onigiri from Onimaru for breakfast. The miso soup was outstanding, the soup base was so sweet. Then we walked to Gion as we had an appointment at My Only Fragrance near Kiyomizudera where we bought our custom made perfume. Visited Yasaka Jinja afterwards and walked to Maikoya for our Tea Ceremony at 1.30pm. Along the way, we tried Kyoto Coffee and had some street snacks sold along Gion. After our Tea Ceremony, we headed back to Kiyomizudera Temple and had dinner at a small Izakaya tucked in a small alley. The izakaya was run by an elderly couple and can only fit 10 people at best. The food wasn't outstanding but it's very homey and comforting to have.
19 April- Did a morning run around the perimeter of Nijo Castle. Then head back to the hotel for quick shower before heading to Uji for a day trip. We wandered around only with a local tour map available for free at the train station. [PS: Use Google Maps instead to check out nearby attractions. I realised we missed out quite a number of places only after we came back from Japan] The only place we had planned was Ito Kyuemon where we tried the Match Curry and Matcha Parfait. Then we just took a stroll along the river bank of Uji River and ended up in Ujikami Shrine. [PS: Do visit the Tale of Genji Museum which is located 5 minutes from Ujikami Shrine]. We then walked across to the other side of the river bank and sat there for 30 minutes or so, enjoying the scenery, quietness and weather. You can check out Byodo-in as well when you're there. We then headed back to Shijo Kyoto for dinner. My husband wanted rice so we ended up in Niku Shokudo. The food was amazing and the portion was huge for us. Do give it a shot when you're there.
20 April- Started the day with a hike to the peak of Fushimi Inari, We arrived slightly later as we overslept on that day. We reached the summit at around 12.00pm only and back at the entrance at about 1.00pm. We were so hungry and just bought some street snacks right outside of Fushimi Inari. By then it was 2.00pm and we decided to check out the Sake Village in Fushimi. I was expecting a museum but it turned out to be an izakaya so we skipped ahead and checked out Otesuji Shopping Street before heading to Gekkeikan Sake Museum. We didn't make any reservation and was just trying our luck to get into the tour. The tour was 600yen per person and you get a small sake cup as souvenir and 2 tasting of sake for free. We ended the night at Niku Shokudo again as my husband was craving for their Oyako Don. We then did some small shopping in Daimaru Kyoto before they close at 7.30pm.
21 April - Checked out the shopping street near the hotel and found this Creme Bulee Donut shop by chance (PS: Do give it a try if you're nearby, they make the donuts on the spot so it was really good). We then rented a bicycle and headed to Toji Temple for the Kobo-ichi Flea Market. The rain started falling by then but it got heavier subsequently. Got wet in the rain as we were cycling back to Mikane Jinja so after doing a quick prayer, we decided to stop by Kyoto International Manga Museum and wait for the rain to subside. Sadly, the rain went on so we returned the bicycle at a nearby port in Sanjo station (we used Kotobike to rent the bike). Whilst we were walking to the port, we also checked out Gariguette Kyoto. Our day was severely disrupted by the rain and we were heavy hearted to go back to the hotel at 7.00pm. My husband was looking for a stamp book as his was finishing so we dropped by Book Off in Sanjo, thinking that it was a book shop. Only to realise that its more than that.
22 April- This is a day we gave up on all our itineraries in Kyoto due to uncertainty in weather. We walked out of the hotel seeing heavy clouds so decided to again travel around Kyoto on foot. We also called off Amanohashidate and Ine as we were uncertain if its going to rain. [PS: Turns out it was only cloudy the whole day =( ] We visited Go-o Shrine and wanted to head to the Samurai Museum since we can't be certain about the weather. Of course, we didn't manage to visit the Samurai Museum because we got distracted by the food, beer and stuff in Nishiki Market. (PS: There's a shop in Nishiki market that sells Anko Butter Taiyaki, oh my goodness!) We ended up walking out of Nishiki market at about 5.30pm and not sure if there's enough time to spend in the Samurai Museum. So we headed back to Shijo as my husband wanted to get a gift for his mom for mother's day and for dinner at Mensho Takamatsu. [PS: Amanohashidate is workable as a day trip but transportation is a bit more problematic. Alternatively, you can do Biwa Lake as a day trip. We did neither due to weather condition]
23 April - We both fell sick on this day. Had to call off our morning run. We headed to Arashiyama but ended up missing the Sagano scenic Train by 2 minutes. So we just had lunch in Aramashiyama and went over to Togetsukyo Bridge and Monkey Park. BY the time we came down from the Monkey Park, it was already 3.00pm and we decided to just had some street snacks along Katsura River and headed back to the hotel. Had convenience store dinner after we threw our laundry into the wash as we were too sick to continue our journey.
24 April - took a train to Nara. First stop was the tourist information counter. The staff were really friendly and they gave us a map and told us how to go about. Had freshly made mochi in Nakatanidou and curry rice at Spice Kitchen Labo. Checked out the shopping streets before we head to Nara Park, Todai ji and the Botanical Garden. There was a Wisteria Exhibition going on at the time so we checked that out as well. After Nara, we headed back to Osaka and had Omurice at Hokkyokusei [I wanted Kaettekita Miyatamenji but when I was there, there's a notice stating that they were temporarily closed due to shortage of staff. Maybe you guys can try it out]
25 April - We cancelled our trip to Wakayama and spent a whole day in Osaka shopping and revisiting the shops we wanted before leaving Japan.
26 April - Checked out at 11am and had brunch in a Sandwich shop nearby our hotel before heading to Suita to visit the Asahi Beer Museum (Reservation can be made in advance by calling or online). 1000 yen per pax, 1 hr 30 mins factory tour and you get a beer mug as souvenir and 2 glasses of beer tasting for free. We then head to Itami Airport and ended our trip.
There has been major change to our initial itinerary but like I say, I've been to Osaka and Kyoto before and my husband is not really a tourist attraction person. We were there mainly for the food and to shop whilst experiencing the culture and the people. I missed on the bookings for Yamazaki Whiskey Factory (by lottery), Pokemon Centre (the reservations were all snatched in 15 minutes). In the fanfic Naruto had a bloodline that was his father that would from two swords. One was named Senbon Sakura which was represented by a woman in his mindscape, and could transform into a cloud of sharp flower petals. The other I don’t remember the name of but was represented by a dragon in his mindscape and had the ability to control ice. His genin team was Hinata and Shino with both Anko and Kurenai as lead leaders. Don’t remember anything else other than Kakashi was an ass.

People keep bitching about how female characters in Naruto are written, and it's so fucking annoying.
I will attempt to prove why the female characters in Naruto aren't bad but not good either. They are simply meh, or in the middle.
Which is crazy because these days everything has to be polarized nothing can be just medium.
Let's start with common arguments.
#1: Sakura has bad writing
This is fucking infuriating. People seem to gloss over the fact that she's without a doubt the MOST useful member of the Konoha 13 at the end of the series besides Naruto and Sasuke.
She's insanely OP. She's only not OP if you compare her to Naruto and Sasuke as the baseline, which is fucking stupid why would anyone use the two strongest characters as a baseline.
Now for her actual character arc, people will blame her complete and utter infatuation for Sasuke as a flaw. It's true, she has spent a lot of her screen time having actions/thoughts about Sasuke.
But you know who else has spent a lot of actions/thoughts about Sasuke?
NARUTO, the main fucking character.
Naruto has literally been humiliated and beaten up for Sasuke, because he values him as a friend. Sakura does that too! Except she's also romantically interested, but both Naruto and Sakura have the same actions.
Naruto and Sasuke are the main characters, and the story revolves around them. Chasing Sasuke is a theme that's always been apart of the story, and it's something that both male and female characters do.
You can't blame Kishimoto for this when he makes the main male character also have longing for Sasuke.
If you want to argue that having such a Sasuke fantasy story is unrealistic, well I'd agree with you, but this is a story about ninjas with magical dogs in them tf u want.
#2: Female Characters are under utilized
This is also really stupid.
Male characters are ALSO underutilized. Besides the villain of the arc and main characters, all characters are under utilized.
This is a flaw on Kishimoto's writing but people think this only applies to females for some reason.
They'll say that Ino, TenTen, Temari, Hinata, Anko were all shafted.

They were shafted also as soon as they weren't the main focus of their arcs. As soon as a new villain is introduced they disappear in relevance.
I know people will say that "at least Neji, Lee, Shino, and Kiba got fights where they win before they get shafted" but besides TenTen and arguably Anko this is also true for all women characters, they at least get one moment where they shine.
There are also male characters who are never really shown to do anything and get discarded despite having some relevance to story. It's just Kishimoto's writing style.

The quote says that while Kishimoto admits he struggles with female characters, he fixed his problems and got better.
Which honestly as soon as after the Chunin exams it's hard to say that he can't write women because we're introduced to many great female characters and the same weak women get a lot stronger.
Conclusion
Let's stop acting like Kishimoto is sexist or that Naruto is impossible for women to watch.
It's a pretty good manga but it's flaws lie in that it frequently underutilizes characters that it sets up, both male and female.

I got this idea for a team switch up story, a tried and true plot bases, that in my opinion never disappoints. As well as filler episode inspiration which are alway full of ideas.
I decided to get into a more militaristic team dynamics, at least my personal interpretation based on loose knowledge, and I got two that to choose from. It goes something like this.

Genin Platoon Captain: Kakashi Hatake; in charge of team leaders, overseeing Genin Sensei’s training schedules and regimens, and reporting to the Hokage of Genin training progress. Also arranges sparing sessions between Genin Teams. Acts as intermediary between Genin team and the Hokage; responsible for handing out D-Rank missions and approval for when team is ready for C-Rank and above, also responsible for summoning teams to the Hokage for higher missions and tasks.
Genin Platoon First Lieutenant: Kurenai Yūhi; second in command to Captain, in charge of training Genin team in specialized training once a week. Also in charge of the health and safety of Genin; this includes physical, mental, and also liaison between Platoon Captain and the families of Genin.
Genin Platoon Second Lieutenant: Might Guy; third in command to Captain, in charge of specialized training once a week. Also Genin Quartermaster; in charge of making sure Genin teams are properly equipped and armed. Also in charge of recognizing any Genin with talent for a specific fighting or weapon styles, and charged with recommending experts to train the Genin in these styles.
Genin First Class: Rock Lee: Assists Captain and Lieutenants in any way possible.

Junior Genin: Sasuke Uchiha, Hinata Hyūga, and Choji Akamichi.
Senior Genin: Neji Hyūga

That’s the first idea. My second idea is the same thing, but keeping the three man team. Example: two junior Genin + senior Genin. This gives the option of a fourth team.

I want to know everyone's favorite girls to ship with Naruto and why. Also, what is Naruto like in these ideal pairings. I'll start with my favorites starting from most loved and going down.

1. Anko (I have to believe that Anko might have, at first suffered similar crap from the village because she was apprenticed to Konoha's most infamous traitor. So the pairing makes sense to me since they are both outgoing and outspoken who can understand each other's pain. Their relationship would be strong and they would have this "You and me against the world" vibe going. As for the age difference, I find it's easy to change around ages and stuff like that for most characters without jeopardizing the important canonical events in any meaningful way. You'd be surprised how inconsequential most characters are to the actual main plot when you think about it.)
2. Temari (Honestly, Temari and Anko are neck and neck and Temari sometimes takes the top spot for me. She's strong but beautiful and despite everything, she loves her brothers and is loyal. She is one of the baddest chicks in the series and seeing her smack people with her giant fan makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. She actually reminds me alot of Kushina in many ways so you know Kushina would approve of the match. Fics of Naruto moving to Suna either because of crap in Konoha or because he loves Temari that much are always welcome as long as it makes sense.)
3. Yugao (Strong, Beautiful, uses a sword and is in ANBU. She also lost Hayate so you know our girl needs some lovin. Naruto is a kind and loving person by nature and the thought of them getting close and Naruto pulling her from the darkness makes for some good romance. Also, I love good fics of Naruto being an ANBU.)
4. Kurenai (Ok, I'll admit, I got it bad for Konoha's resident ice queens, sue me. Kurenai's reserved, proper and controlled personality are a fun contrast to Naruto's easy going, mischievous and fun loving personality. Again, concerning the ages, it's easy to change that at least a little bit but personally I'm not bothered by it because it's fiction, it's anime and in a world where death can come at any point for shinobi and 12 year olds are considered adults as long as they have the forehead thingy, I don't see why we cant explore these pairings.)
5. Ino (While I myself simp for ice queens and bad bi***es, I cant deny that Naruto x Ino is too perfect of a ship to not sail. Some of the most top tier fics involved those two.)
6. Sakura (Now this one is heavily dependent on how well Sakura is handled. If she is written well like how she was in the Kazekage retrieval mission then this pairing would rock so hard.)

Honorable mentions include Konan, Hana, Hinata, Mei and Samui. I love Naruto x Hinata but we already got that in canon.
Ideally, Naruto in fanfics would be smarter, more capable and mature without being too OP (at least not too early since he becomes OP anyway in canon) and most importantly, not sacrificing who he is as a person. Naruto should still be the lovable, ramen loving, goofy prankster that he is and I hate fics that sacrifice that just to turn him into some stone-faced brooder with the personality of a stump.

It was on Fanfiction.net. Sakura, Hinata, Into, Tenten and Temari (with a later addition of Karin) were in a band called Konstantine (I think that's how they spelled it) with Anko as their caretaker. Sasuke and the other guys were brought in as their bodyguards and eventually couples begin to form.
Each chapter has a song lyric for a title if that helps, with the end chapter being the St Trinians theme.

Taka were some of the most present characters in Naruto Shipudden & Kishimoto did every last one of em dirty! so i figured i'd rewrite the tmeline a tad for them to be in much more interesting & better positions in the narritive & world!
Why was their treatment bad though?
All 3 of them were kind of kidnapped by orochimaru... Sure Karin was saved from the Grass village sucking her dry for free heals, & jugo joined because his boyfriend fell for orochimaru's cult.... But theyre all victims of DEEP abuse. & the ammount Kishimoto brushes off abuse doesnt sit right with me. even if its entirely unintentional.
But even more than that, they are really bloody cool characters whos potentials were wasted! this small team were dancing with the Kage's aids back at the 5 kage summit. even if they were a step behind they were fighting future Kage. they're tough MF's
JUGO: Jugo is the first to change & has the most room for growth of the group IMO. For starters. since Jugo came to start seeing Sasuke in a similar light to how he saw Kimimaru, He follows Sasuke back to Konoha... He eventually learns to live for himself (so he's not reliant on others existences like how he was with Kimimaru) & becomes trained in traditional shinobi arts, eventually becoming the sensei of future team 7 leading Boruto, Mitsuki & Sarada
What about konohamaru? he can lead team-10 like the tradition normally has Sarutobi do.. (as much as i dislike traditions & generational repetition in storytelling, Konohamaru is starkly different than Asuma in every single way).
Jugo would make way more sense as a sensei to team 7, than Konohamaru. Hes very familiar with lacking control BC of his transformation so he can understand Boruto to a degree & help him once Momoshiki starts polluting his mind. He understands sage arts better than anyone that hasn't bathed in toad oil because of his Kekkei Genkai so he can teach & relate to mitsuki, it even makes Orochimaru sending Mitsuki to Konoha make sense. as Jugo would be the one person theyd trust to teach their son. & maybe the biggest thing for mitsuki is that he has a hard time living for himself, his whole sun & moon dynamic. Who better to help a child lost in that mindset than someone who once was, Jugo. And while he doesnt have a whole lot in common with Sarada, neither does Konohamaru, & I have a good mentor for her later too with Karin... but theres still a bit of potential there for jugo too if we wanna bring back the curse mark for Sarada. So she gets a cool transformation like the boys in team 7 got... (that of otsutdification & sage)

Karin: Karin is a special case. BC Kishimoto basically made most girls personalities in his writing their affection for select boys, she doesn't have a lot to go off of. What I've thought best of fir her though is to Use what she learned in Orochimaru's lab as a jumping off point for what she could be.
I'd have her be one of the Co-heads of Konoha's research & nintech developement. Right alongside Anko (Kishi did her maybe the dirtiest). Plus, Keep the Stem Lab nerds workin' in labs! they've go plenty of experience, & its an interesting way to not burn characters away into the Aether... especially to add new characters as lame as the tech guys ended up being
She would also have served as a mentor to Sarada. Being less busy than Sakura (who's far more busy with the hospital, & Sasuke who was never present being off alone hunting aliens (which makes 0 sense, but im not changing him right now))... Karin is almost like an Aunt to Sarada because of how close of friends she is to Sakura & even Sasuke, to a lesser extent (her brain clicked in place when he was willing to sacrifice her). And BC of that mentorship & even training, Sarada also picks up on some Hidden ninja clan techniques of Karin's. Like a few Uzumaki sealing techniques & Even the minds eye of the Kagura, Amplifying her already powerful sensory abilities of her Sharingan, by allowing her to use her mimicry abilities on those she sees through her minds eye ((( This is a much needed boon for Sarada as she's left in the dust behind the boys power wise so far))) but its also a reason to keep Karin in the story, & gives her a lil bit story & plot, without being overbearing, (cant have her too much more present than other adults ;P ). It also gives more to Sarada's emotional journey, as she often seems wondering aimlessly. it gives her an anchor like how shikimaru had Asuma, for when shes in those rough times & needs wisdom.....
She could also be the one person within Konoha to trust Sarada... she has 0 stakes in Boruto, kawaki, or even Naruto's dissapearance. So even though she's still effected by Eida's Retcon she could be there emotionally for Sarada, so she doesn't lose her mind from no one believing her... Especially since Sakura would be very invested in Naruto's murder, making the retcon do a lot of work on her mind to keep her in check from trying to not accept the "new truth" as she thinks about it too much..... Karin just simply doesn't care about the conflict, but does care about Sarada & wants to be there for the kid. so shes able to be her support at least a bit.

Suigetsu: Its wild how bad Suigetsu was done over the time-skip, He had a goals, a dream, everything! He was the most fleshed out of Taka! And Yet Kishimoto just dropped everything he had going on! So we have a Lot to work with!
Firstly, We can all agree Chojuro Is not only the most bland design of every Kage ever. but also the most boring of any of the 7 Swordmen ever. be it design, character, motives, etc
Suigetsu wanted to fulfil his dream of rebuilding the 7 swordsmen of the mist and master every blade like his elder brother before him, But we aren't just gonna have him rebuild the 7 swords & call it a day. lets have him do so much better as the #1 brat of Naruto.
Suigetsu returns to the hidden mist after the war. its the home he was taken from so many years ago, but it knows moderate peace for the first time, no longer being stuck in the era of the blood mist village, (even if that didnt bother him much).... But before he does go he meets some of Konoha's shinobi. Friends of Sasuke & Naruto, during a celebration. This is where he meets Tenten, they hit it off over their mutual adoration of weaponry, & talents for them. they split ways when Suigetsu heads back to Kirigakure for now...
They keep contact, & eventually Tenten decides to head over to Kirigakure, kinda like how Karui moved to Konoha to be with Choji. She Also brings the singular of the sages weapons that she kept post war with her as well. The Bashosen fan, (the rest having been returned to the hidden cloud)... Tenten even trains and masters all of the 7 swords (except for Samehada, which doesn't accept her) in no time flat, merely out of intrigue. her doing so has give her the lead role of the 7 swords, even over Chojuro, despite his seniority.
It doesnt take much time for Mai to realize that Suigetsu is quite stronger than Chojuro and that hes a better candidate for Mizukage. Eventually she promotes him to Mizukage, so she can retire being a kunoichi for a bit to go & find the husband she's wanted for so long. (As Suigetsu becomes the 6th Mizukage. he uses this as a means to flex over Karin when hes in konoha during the chunin exams, to 0 evail, as she still treats him like a lil brother)

Suigetsu & tenten do a massive reform of the 7 swords, working together to elevate the next generation to a level of obscene calibre.
the 7 swords remain as is, with Suigetsu Keeping the executioner blade hes grown fond of, chojuro takes up the recovered Samehada (as it accepts him but neither Tenten nor Suigetsu), while Tenten wields the split swords to an effect not even Mugestu could perfect. treating the two blades as if they were every single weapon shes ever thrown from a scroll.
not only are the four remaining swords split up among Deciples for the next generation of the seven swords, they add another, as Tenten reforges the Bashosen. Forging a rapier blade of the most refined chakra metal she could acquire. Even embued with a bit of Biju chakra (from Isobu) to stabilize the merging, the blade was then fused into the hilt of the Bashosen. the leaves being loosened into what appears to be an adornment of feathers hanging from the base of the hilt (kinda like Rukia's sode no shirayuki from bleach & its ribbon.)
This sword still retains the properties of the Bashosen being able to draw in chakra from the user to create massive elemental blasts. but its not confined to just breathing the chakra from the fanlike feathers. it can be concentrated into the chakra blade to create youre typical anime sword beamslash, made made of any of the base elemental chakra natures (I could maybe think of ways to reforge the other heavenly rainments but i'll keep it to just the bashosen for now, as its the only one that really functions on its own)

Suigetsu has a child with Tenten (a year or 2 younger than boruto & company), & their kid is expected to be the the most prodigal Kenjutsu master in history based on their skill with weaponry as a Genin being instinctual... they are so uncannily proficient its as if they inherited the muscle memories of master's of various crafts long past.
I'll name her Suzume (after suzume muramasa, who is the legendary sword smith Muramasa's grandaughter in one of my fav stories)...

Suzume's sword that she inherits is none other than the blasting ax "Splash." Due to her father's family technique she is taught, Hydrofication, she can avoid any reprecutional damage of the Ax's explosions. & is able to go far more out with it than anyone to weild it prior other than her uncle. She tries to be more of a refined swordwoman & puts effort into the facade of calmness but she usually becoming feral at some point in combat.

A lil bit of Story & plot for funsies

Suzume's allied with all 5 of the new members of the 8 swords. But Suigetsu has them enter the Chunin exams specifically allied with Shachi Hoshigaki who wields the Bashosen rapier as the second coming of the tail-less tailed beast (im not a fan of Shizuma's look/vibe so i replaced him). Her seemingly limitless chakra supply allows her to use the Bashosen to extreme effect before she's exhausted. Shes also paired with Kagura Karatachi, who wields the Helm splitter in this timeline (as the split swords are still in the hands of Tenten)
(the kiba blades & needle can kick rocks today. As much as i love them Both) their weilders are a few years older... not every protigal swordsman is from the same year. Needle is can still be held by hebiichigo (as she looks sick), just aging her up to 16, & whoever holds the Kiba blades is 20..... Just so theres a lil bit of a generational spread.

Helm splitter is reforged as well. Having understood the enchantments within both ax & hammer Tenten shaves them down to a fraction of their Origial size whilst retaining their magical properties! (bigger isnt always better). the Hammer is a bit larger than a fist (so still kinda anime sized for a warhammer), & the ax blade is your typical halberd (make it anime fancy though). They are made into a singular pole-arm, with the ax & hammer heads on either side, the pole joining them, being separatable as a 3 sectioned staff (to still allow the hammer to hit the ax as tradition, or just add additional range. The ax itself rarely needs the hammer to break what it tries to split, but its extra oomf (to see its original design still kept in mind) & the hammer basically has a big knockback effect against anything it hits. adding additional momentum to it as long as what it hits is within a certain size (a non-cannon reason why helmsplitter can split basically any material. It has a magic momentum boost!)

I'll keep the details short, but honestly these 3 would be in the chunin exams finals, alongside team 7, the Suna trio, & the cloud kids. (team 10 had no right being there, as its supossed to be the most elite chunin of all 5 nations. Inojin has been made a joke of, & chocho just wasn't there yet either. Shikidai has the same weaknesses as his father, even if hes a tad stronger.. in the old chunin exams it was fair, shikidai wouldve done great... Just not with all 5 nations & needing the whole team to succeed to get to the finals).
Shachi beats Mitsuki (as the two faux tailed beasts, mitsuki not tapping into sage power left him far bellow a fight where he'd normally be equals). Shes set to fight Araya in round 2.
Suzume Beats Toroi but loses to Shinki ( its the most explosive fight in the tourney. As Splashe's detonations whittle away Mitsuki's Iron bit by bit. while pieces of Shinki's toxic iron filings remain inside her when she resolidifies from her hydrofied state + the exaustion she occurs from having to hydrofy far more often than she would in a typical battle).
Kagura Loses in round 1 to Sarada
(Basically the Konoha, Kirigakure, & suna get 1 member out round 1, another round 2, & their 3rd in the finale. whilst lighting doesn't qualify for the finals).. i preffer this that literally team seven winning each bracket. (even if they are the protags, setting them in stone as the strongest in the first arc is meh)

When the Otsutsukis attack we actually get a taste of the potential of the 7 swords as they are some of the 1st and fasted people in the crowd to react to the crumbling arena to save civilians.
Suigetsu joins the fight to save Naruto, along with the other Kage, But we could also Have Karin & Jugo join too as they are not only still relevant to the Story, but also the cast in this version of the story. Hel if you dont let them drop off they're as strong as some of the Current Kage (or close too it, based on how they went toe to toe in the Kage summit with the current kage all the way back then).
With them present you could even have Boroshiki & momoshiki be even more terrifying of a combo! with the whole team their they are INSANE when it comes to holding an enemies down. give the aliens a massive power boost so that momoshiki doesnt need plot no jutsu to recharge of some bs nintech. just give him his super saiyan moment ----
Going forward after the exams arc, you'd mostly See Jugo, as he's their sensei during the Kawaki arcs, & all that Jazz. But we also see quite a bit of Karin when there's downtime in the village. & sarada's looking for wisdom & insights... hel even just when shes bored after being locked in BC of otsutsuki threats & Eida -----
the Biggest change for Two blue vortex is that i would change a whole Shinju.
The tech division being actually in Konoha means Karin was present when Codes assault on Konoha happens at the beginning of 2BV. Code even brings a few extra claw grimes with him than normal to keep the fight filled out. the youngsters being overwhelmed by the numbers & trying to figure out the threat simultaniously leaves sarada open for a moment, when she saves someone. A clawgrime almost biting onto her neck.
An adamantine chain pierces the side of the grimes head, as Karin Yanks it towards her. As shes about to drive it into the earth with her fist, another clawgrime comes out of the marks on that ones body, & latches onto her leg. Not only does that claw grime form into a false divine tree, but due to the other being caught by her chains its body is caught in the growth of the tree, trapping it from moving or escaping entirely.

When the Shinju emerge You could honestly either replace Moegi's or Sasuke's (with Karin's choosing Jugo as her target, to keep their desires on team 7 specifically as Konohamaru was swapped). But I'd rather replace Sasuke's shinju. I really like Sasuke as a character, but his bond with Sarada is so shallow story wise... Kishimoto just telling us he really loves her conflicts with everything we know about how sasuke was shown to be incredibly expresive about his love in both act 1 & shipudden regarding his family...
By making Karin a very present character in Sarada's life as an aunt, the bond is much more present & thus the drama following her entrapment & fighting the shinju is deeper. (also gives an even M/F split on shinju, where naruto super under reps women, especially evil women). Sasuke's still in the tree of course, but her goal of saving him is not only Sepperate from that of the shinju storyline, Sarada now has literally more than 1 things to do thats hers to deal with! (which i don't want to attack too hard as TBV is just starting, but man is has the story been dry for our girl)

This is my personal fav as naruto & sasuke come together to fight & beat Pain instead of Madara... Sasukes redemption feels more like redemption than just being forced to stop god together
- his family adopts Naruto (family themed)
- Kicked out of Konoha permanently post shipuden war betrayal (moreso just the creation of a far more interesting sarada, (Kaida Terumi))
- Naruto being kidnaped, the night of his birth. Thus sasuke & hinata are the protags. (wild ride but so much fun, & absolutely absurd)
- evil / good flip with ashura & indra reincarnations. + a few reworks on how the reincarnations work
- uchiha leave konoha entirely to avoid Danzo's plotting.. village hidden under the moon BB
- No plot nerfs (he has more than most expect BC plot saves him a handful of times... six paths sasuke is scary).. mostly just affects the war arc & boruto, but still a few big changes in shippuden !

updated Danzo with fun and Torune as part of his Justus and combo similar to pain, and another more cinematic ultimate of him summoning the whole Anbu, similar to Akasuski team Ultimate.
chunin exam sound ninja combine into 1 character similar to pain and dosu would be the fighter but for justsu and combos Zaku and Kin.
I would rather have Mugetsu, who canonically use all 7 swords integrated into his move set for each combo direction, and Justus and his awakening could be the edo tenseis of all 6 other swordsmen in the war arc using the dpad simlar to Jubi Madara's. His ult can be a copy and paste of Kisame and Zabuza Team Ult . I would rather have one well-flashed-out character with a high pick rate than five mediocre charters who are just there for fan service and will never be played competitively. Look at the pick rate for Sauske, Baryon mode Naruto, Minato, and others. If each character had more depth to them, that wouldn’t be the case, and there would be no ability to legitimately give them unless CC2 just gives them generic moves that are glorified cash grabs: the anko, kureni, kushina, karin, iruka, Rin, shizune, even pts Sakura, Ino, and Boruto, new gen outside of Shinki and Tsubaki, and the ones we already have done nothing. Literally, to get a roster spot would just be glorified reskins!!! Hayate,anko,ibiki hagane, and Izumo should be combined into 1 character, with Hayate as the main fighter, like Pain,and Kuerni mixing in with updated asuma grab/ult and his 3rd jutsu 100 buddah as a range attack, like Kamui unblockable, no tracking, and 4th Justu Kureni setting a trap. combine multiple characters who can’t stand alone, like Hayate, and dosu is how you can have super exciting characters following the Pains blueprint.
Disclaimer: Until they fix a lot of the balance mechanisms with a patch idc who’s dlc, I’m not putting any more money in a cash grab. All the issues, like non-responsive substitution, broken double hit jutsu, poison, etc., should have been tested before release, and NVR was an issue at launch.
