I've heard a few twisted things over the years, both said to me, as well as others. I'd just like to list a few of them here. I'm not talking about blunt or offensive things, but just down right twisted.

1. I once heard a girl on the bus, on her phone, say something very similar to the following: "no no, I never say hello to him unless he says hello to me first, and when he does I'll just kind of grunt it back.... or else I'll leave a slight pause before replying, to leave him wonder if I'm going to blank him; I love seeing that confused look on his face."
   
2. This was something I over-heard an off duty supervisor (when out one night) say when slightly drunk. I think it was in the context of not allowing a staff member's reasonable request, that would actually help both them, as well as productivity. He said it to another off duty supervisor. "if they try to explain the logic to it, you can always just pretend you don't understand what they mean; it confuses the fuck out of them them because they're thinking that we (as supervisors) are the ones who are supposed to know all this anyway.... when they then try to explain it they'll likely get tongue tied and lose they're initial thought, and you just interrupt them with 'no, I won't allow it'"! I stayed out of it, but I distinctly remember that individual (before he got promoted) giving out about unfairness within the company, about a year prior to this. Yet there he was saying all this so confidently! I'd really love to somehow have recorded both conversations and play them back to him, to see whether he'd be embarrassed or not.
   
3. I was once talking to a girl (Megan) I met at a party one night, and we ended up talking about someone that we realised we both knew, by the name of Sandra. Sandra was fastidiousness, and Megan (who was her roommate) had picked up on how she didn't like the milk being left out in the warm weather when they had tea when Megan's bf was over. Anyway Megan said that she used to leave the milk bottle beside the tea pot on the table, so that they could have more milk for their re-fills. I said to Megan that, as a solution, she could always have poured some into a jug to keep the milk bottle in the fridge. But it was then that I realised how twisted Megan was. She said that she knew Sandra would eventually go to put the bottle back in the fridge having looked at it for long enough, and at such point in time, she'd stop her by saying we haven't finished with it. Sandra would then have to turn around and walk back to the table with the bottle, looking like a disobedient child. She enjoyed leaving Sandra wonder whether or not she'd have sour milk with her cereal the next day. And just expected me to be okay with her saying this! I didn't know how to respond at the time.

It's funny that this book was ahead of its time. It's just that when there are such works as "I'm not Starfire" and "Velma", where the "cool" heroines are represented by annoying, overweight teenagers, this book ridiculed such heroines, although it was published in 2011.
I like the way hell is represented here. Everything that is thrown to the ground or thrown out goes to hell, that's why there is a pit of vomit and clipped nails. The currency here is sweets. "Milkyway" is considered a bribe here. And you can also go to hell for any mistake, even the smallest one.
There is no plot here. The heroine goes to hell, and then walks through it with the other dead. Throughout the book, the protagonist will tell us how cool it is in hell, that there are a lot of celebrities here and that you get here, not to heaven. And it's funny, especially at the end, when the author himself appears in the form of Satan and tells her that he invented her to lure more people to hell.
I also like how Chuck made fun of hypocrisy with the help of the main character's parents, because they always contradicted themselves. They could say they were greenpeace, but they did everything that proves the opposite.
The main character is a joke. She keeps repeating that she is not stupid, that she understands the meaning of many words that she uses in the wrong way, while she died because she thought that a French kiss (or whatever it was mentioned) is when you are strangled. They also show us that she is so cool that she destroys tyrants who have gone to hell, that in fact she should have gone to heaven. It all sounds so funny that I laughed at it.
Palahniuk's writing style is good. He writes easily, and his hooligan style adds to the comicality of what is happening. But I didn't like how many times the heroine told us, "I may be like this, but I understand it ...". I understand that this makes sense, but it still somehow don't helps.
This funny book, which in an ironic way tells the story of a "not like everyone else" girl.

REBBL Season 2

We require your BB3 Coach Name - which you may need to link to your overall rebbl.net account. Once you've done that, you can select any of your inexperienced teams in Blood Bowl 3 from the drop down list. This means you will need to create your team in BB3 first BEFORE completing your signup. Until your team is assigned to a division, you can continue to freely make changes to the roster, and so on.
You will also be asked which of our three regions you would like to play in:

• Big O is our Asia/Pacific region (predominantly Oceanic coaches)
• GMAN is our European region
• REL is our Americas region

IMPORTANT: If you wish to sign up to REL, please make sure you have set your time zone correctly at https://rebbl.net/account. For Season 2, we will be building divisions with a 'soft' split of east/west coast coaches, though REL is not officially splitting into East and West at this time. Naturally, if you're in a central time zone, you could end up in either an east or a west coast division.

REBBL Format

For Season 2, we expect to have a pyramid structure again where we can cater both inexperienced and experienced teams.

Supported Competition Status

It is expected that REBBL will be granted Supported Competition status for the Blood Bowl 3 World Championship competition.
REBBL's tickets for the World Championship will be granted to our champion(s) - it is currently unconfirmed how many tickets we'll have.
If you want our tickets, you have to win the REBBL playoffs and become REBBL champion.
Depending on how many tickets we do get, we may need to run a Champion of Champions tournament at some point - but I'll be able to confirm this at a later date.

Re-draft Season 1

If you wish to sign up with your season 1 team, you will have to take the team through the re-draft process first, once your team's re-draft has been validated, it will be eligable to sign up with (i.e. show up in the team dropdown when signing up).
You are allowed to sign up with an inexperienced team even after you have completed the re-draft of your team. You can read more about the re-draft process here (once the post is done)

We are currently testing the waters with re-drafting. Our current rules can be found here. Expect changes to re-drafting in season 2, which will be posted on reddit once we know what we will change. Changes will probably concern things surrounding balancing the budgets.

I'm a recently graduated physician with a fair bit of lab research under his belt in Europe. Medicine is great and all, but healthcare is also a really attractive market to make money, and I would like to go down the finance path to make use of my understanding of the field in leveraging this opportunity. Come from a finance heavy family background, but don't want to make use of any connections in this transition, I want this to be on my own merit.
I am currently in an internship sprint looking to give my CV a clear direction and indication that I understand what I am getting myself into - internships are Private Equity Fund, InvestoStrategic Healthcare Consulting (Mainly consulting PE firms on deals in the healthcare space) and public equity research at a small fund focusing on healthcare/biotech. I also do some part time work for a VC fund. Of course I'm pretty biased, but my track-record so far has been excellent with some pretty cool achievements to include in my resume.
Long term I would like to go into a buy-side role, preferably with a Private Equity fund in their Healthcare team. Given that I am currently in the middle of completing my internships, how might you best go about capitalizing on this initial momentum to go the next step and find a permanent role for afterwards? Would an MBA or even a CFA possibly make sense?

Hey everyone,
I wanted to share an interesting story that happened to me a few days ago in the world of Tibia. It involves Lady Tenebris, a bit of bad luck, and ultimately, a reminder of the good people in our community.
With Lady Tenebris being boosted, I decided to maximize the opportunity by killing her just after server save (SS) and aiming for another kill before the next SS. Since I work night shifts and finish just an hour before SS, I knew time was tight. So, right after work, I logged into the game on my Surface Go 2 tablet at my workplace. I met up with my organized team, and we successfully took down Lady Tenebris.
After the fight, I quickly packed up my gear, pressing a button to stow my Soulshell armor back into my backpack. I then closed my device, unplugged my mouse dongle, packed my tablet into my real backpack, and headed home. Later, when I logged back into the game on the PC and went to kill more bosses, I noticed my Soulshell armor was missing. It wasn’t in any of my backpacks or my depo. I was puzzled.
Suspecting a bug introduced by a recent update, I asked around in a server Discord group if anyone else had experienced something similar. One member, going by the name Dash Zoomyy(1000+ RP), asked me about the specifics of the armor and if it was imbued. He also asked if I had killed Lady Tenebris that morning. After confirming my responses, he told me he had my armor.
Here's what happened: After I killed the boss and left the fight room, I entered the safe room, where I pressed the power button on my tablet and got kicked from the game a moment later. Sometime later, Dash entered that room and saw a 290 Royal Paladin, Roberto'Pall, standing there with a Soulshell armor laying on the ground. Assuming it was dropped by accident, Dash let Roberto pick it up. Roberto didn't feel good about keeping something that wasn't his and, suspecting that the armor actually belonged to Dash Zoomyy, decided to return it to him. At first, Roberto thought it was just some player disguising himself as the armor with spells. It took him a moment to realize that it was indeed a Best-in-Slot (BiS) armor just laying on the floor.
Despite his guildmates advising him to keep the armor, Roberto felt it was right to give it back. I reached out to thank Roberto for his honesty, as he saved me from losing around 110 million gold coins. Although this might not be a significant amount for many, it was for me, given my playstyle doesn't generate much income, and I had bought the armor for 150 million only thanks to selling Tibia coins.
A few days later, I powered on my tablet again and saw my character still in that small room with the Soulshell armor on the floor. It seems I might have accidentally dragged the armor out while closing my device, likely due to contact between the keyboard and screen.
This experience reminded me that despite the sometimes self-serving nature of online games, there are still good people out there who care about others. Let’s appreciate and cherish these moments and the people who make our community better.

TL;DR:
I lost my Soulshell armor after killing Lady Tenebris and logging off at work on my tablet. Dash Zoomyy discovered Roberto'Pall had picked it up, thinking it was accidentally dropped. Despite his guildmates' advice to keep it, Roberto returned the armor, saving me from losing 110 million gold coins.

I'm a regular guy in my late 20s from North Africa. I don't visit Dubai often, but when I do, the metro and the crowds make me really anxious—it's just insane. Last week, on a Saturday evening around 6, I was waiting for a friend outside the metro, smoking a cigarette. I had my headphones on with noise cancellation, so I didn’t hear them calling me until one of them patted me on the shoulder.
To my surprise, it was the two most beautiful Arab girls you could imagine. They asked for a cigarette and started chatting, asking where I was from, how life in Dubai is, and where I work. It felt like a normal conversation, but I couldn't help wondering why they were talking to me—I’ve always thought I’m not that attractive and I definitely don’t look rich.
While we were smoking, one of the girls told her friend that I was cute and fun to talk to. She then asked for my phone number, gave me the location of her room, and asked me to spend the night with her, offering a discount!
I felt frustrated but not surprised. They were nice and cool, making it all seem natural and relaxed, but the whole situation left me feeling a bit off. what do you think? Am i being too much anxious or this is just dubai!

• randomize so students don't walk to school in the same way every single day, some can be running and some walking, talking to each other ect... add random rainy days so students' routines are altered as they can no longer go outside. would make things more life-like in-game
• rework the "give positive/negative remark" feature because after all these years those unrealistic dialogues still give me the ick. for example if we're gossiping about someone who hates reading, instead of "did you know that _ really hates reading", we can say "did you know that _ finds books really lame".
• screw all those google translate names and give some of the students more unique designs. honestly i prefer the 1980s students to the 202x ones because of that, really hate how every member of the drama club has purple hair.

Hello friends of the GoG community, hope you guys/gals are having a great weekend!
Today i have a request of a beloved franchise in the JRPG department, as you can see in the title, it is the multi faceted delight that is Persona 5 Royal. I personally can't deny that it really lives up to the name of being royal, given the games aesthetic, gameplay and overall stylish presentation. (its so darn good...)
What is persona 5?
I assume most of you are familiar with the genre, it has the classic turn based combat you generally know from, say, the pokemon or final fantasy franchise. But one of the things that makes Persona stand out from its competerors, is its social aspects between the dungeons. you hang out with friends to go further into their personal story (you can also romance) complete tasks like jobs or just explore the city of Tokyo, along other activities. There is a great cast of characters that are interesting in their own way and i would love to learn about them in depth and bond a personal connection. Just on the side, i find it funny when people talk about the "post persona depression" xD it really says a lot about the awesome experience, i think. Which sparks my interest, since i love to dive deep into fictional worlds and get lost in it for a while. (i think you guys can relate :D)
The visuals of the game are off the charts awesome, if you have seen it, you know what i'm talking about. In the game you impersonate a male high school student (and phantom thieve in the fighting segments) JokeRen. You and your group fight corrupt adults to expose their crimes by... going into the metaverse, where peoples desires and thoughts take shape. That is such a cool concept!!

The game has been on my radar for a long time and i would be more than blessed to experience this masterpiece. As to my personal reasons why i can't buy it for myself, is because i've been out of funds to contribute to my favorite hobby due to being a student, so it is hard to afford such a pricy game at the moment. So I liked a girl's profile from my For You lineup the day before yesterday and did not open the app yesterday at all. I opened the app today in the morning and her profile was the first one on my feed, so I swiped right and it was a match and there was a prompt that said that I don't need to wait for her to message first and just answer an opening question. I got some other work, so I decided to answer it later and pressed back for the time being. The movement I pressed back, I went to the chats section but her name was not there in the list. I don't think that she unmatched me because I got the match when I swiped right and declined the question prompt in less then 10sec of getting matched. And if she swiped on me yesterday and got a match and chose not to message me then I would have still gotten an option to extend the match for 24hrs. Is it some glitch or will her be added to the chats only if she message me (updated the app after a long while so not sure if this is how it works now)?

This is an update to my previous post here.
I thought it would be useful to provide an update so that anyone going through a similar situation can use my answers as a resource.
So firstly, the day after this post, I went back to my housing association first thing in the morning. They confirmed that I did not need a court order to evict them. They said it was at the discretion of myself (the tenant) and that the police were wrong and needed to get involved to remove them.
I asked for an eviction letter anyway just incase the police came and did the same thing and my housing association said they cannot evict people who are not legally on the tenancy and said even if my siblings were named as household members, they have never issued an eviction letter to remove housing occupants before as they are genuinely not required.
I also contacted citizens advice who gave me links to some articles on shelter. They confirmed that my siblings are “bare licensees” not occupiers. An example of a licensee can be a child living with a parent (tenant). This would be known as a family arrangement. The licence that my siblings have do not require a court order. They are also not entitled to reasonable notice as they have made it clear they will not comply and have displayed anti social behaviour since I let them know they would need to leave. We also share living spaces so under no circumstance should police have let them remain in the property.
I contacted the police again at the advice of my housing association and Citizens Advice and they have now arranged for a slow response team to come remove my siblings. I will have my tenancy agreement on hand as well as a document listing the permitted house hold members (which they are not in) incase police try to challenge me again, although this should not be required anyway.

I had a crush on this guy, our housemate, I liked him so much that I confessed but it turned out that he liked my roommate instead. I was cool with it and I really didn't want to be the reason he can't ask my roommate out. My roommate on the other hand had a boyfriend at time and they were in a long distance relationship. She didn't exactly like this guy because of something stupid (she gets mad at small things). So I told her that my crush likes you. She promised she wouldn't dare date him because she doesn't like him. But as time goes on and guy is doing everything in his power to make this girl his, my roommate ended up falling for him. My roommate tells me everything about him just like I used to tell her everything about him too. My roommate and I are so close that people assume we are best friends. I was the fool for getting it into my head when we are not. I had no problem whatsoever with them dating. The guy instantly became a red flag for not liking me (because what do you mean you do not like me, you don't have taste). Until she had sex with him when I was there. They thought I was sleeping. I happened to hear their pillow talk, they were talking about me. They were actually talking about who liked who first and my name came out of it. It has been months since they were dating and me, my roommate and this guy are close. They said a lot of hurtful things that I can't say here. Ever since then things have never been the same (on my side though) because I was just pretending that everything is normal. I also once borrowed my roommate's phone and she told me her pin. I needed her to send me something on WhatsApp so when I searched my name on the search icon, interesting conversations about me appeared. One thing about me is, I payback everything (money, kindness, mistreatment, etc) I don't like debts. Another thing about me is, I have never dated before. I have kissed before, but it was my friend '20F' and she was teaching me how to. I'm still not experienced in kissing though. I'm a clean virgin (except for my mind) and only ever had so little interaction with men (my family is dominated by women and I went to girl schools and it is my first time exposed in an environment where there are lots of males so I find it hard to interact with them). But I'm so determined to seduce him, I don't to sleep with him but I want to give him a BJ and him to go down on me, no penetration. He should not know that I'm inexperienced at all!  The Basement Boogie Man Story by Bryan M. 

I was home alone one night playing video games in my living room when I heard noises coming from downstairs in the basement.
My parents went out for the night with some of their friends for dinner and I had the entire house to myself. And it felt refreshing to finally have some alone time and play video games on our big screen Plasma TV.
We had a 50 inch Pioneer High definition Plasma and I remember being so excited about playing Halo 2 all night on this thing online with my friends.
After playing for an hour, I thought I heard and felt movement coming from down below me in the basement.
I muted my headphones and listened out but heard nothing. So I continued playing…
Two hours went by when I heard and felt the same movement below me again, so I muted my headset once more and listened a little closer. This time it was louder and it felt like something actually hit the basement ceiling below me.
I told my friends to hang on a second then I walked to the entrance door leading to the basement.
There’s also a side door entrance that leads to the basement from outside of my house, which is about 7 steps down from the hallway entrance door that leads to the basement, and it was open.
Not much. But enough to seem as if someone let themselves in and didn’t shut it all the way.
I slowly walked down the steps and shut the side door and locked it. I was seriously freaked out and scared. I mean, there was no one home except me. And I lived in a good neighborhood. Nothing bad ever happened around here.
Curiosity got the better of me so I figured I'd check out the basement. I flicked the lights on and everything seemed fine just as it should be.
But we have a storage room tucked away at the end of the basement hall, and I couldn't resist making sure everything was in order in there too.
I literally tip-toed towards the storage room and I could feel my heart racing.
I grabbed my trusty old aluminum baseball bat I had stashed beside our mountain bikes and gripped onto that thing ready to swing for the bleachers if anyone came charging out of that storage room.
As I moved closer to the storage room door I could feel my hands beginning to get clammy. And what felt like an hour was only a few minutes when I stopped and just stared at the door.
The fear and sheer anxiety was holding me back from opening that door.
But I had to find out what made those noises.
I reached for the door knob and turned it and pushed the door open with my bat. And as soon the door was half way open, someone kicked the door shut and growled at me like an animal.
I fell on my ass but got right back up and never ran so fast in my life. I ran and tripped up the basement steps but made it back safely into my house, locked the door, and told my friends I had an intruder in the basement and that I had to call the cops.
I dropped my headset and I could hear my friends voices saying “what the fuck and holy shit are you serious?” as I ran to grab my cell phone to dial 911.
While I’m on the phone with the 911 operator, I could hear pounding on the basement ceiling coming from down below me. I shouted to the 911 operator that someone broke into my house and was in my basement storage room.
The operator was asking me question after question, but I was so frightened I couldn’t answer any of them and just kept telling her to please send help because there’s someone in my basement.
“Someone broke into my house, please help!”
She told me to calm down and find a place to hide and told me help was on the way.
So I hid in my bedroom closet…
My breath was bouncing off of the telephone and hitting me back in the face from how fast I was breathing.
The operator asked me for my name again and now I told her. She asked me my age, where my parents were and I told her. She asked if anyone else was in the house besides me and I said “no it’s just me.”
She asked me if there was any way she could get in touch with my parents so I gave her both of their cell numbers. She told me not to hang up and to stay on the phone with her no matter what. She told me I was doing fine and that everything would be fine, that there were 2 police units heading to my house and they would be there any second.
And then the pounding on the basement ceiling started up again!
And this time the pounding was so loud it sounded like a demolition team was rearranging my entire basement!
The operator asked me what was going on and if I was okay? She asked me “what was that noise?
And I told her whoever is downstairs is banging on the basement ceiling and won’t stop. She told me to hold tight and that the police had arrived and were outside in front of my house. She asked me if there was any way the police could enter my house without breaking down any doors.
I told her I didn’t want to leave the closet. I told her I was very scared and that I didn’t want to go anywhere.
She told me not to worry as the banging from the basement was somehow now coming from underneath my bedroom closet.
I shouted “Please help me! The banging is underneath me!
And then I heard my side door getting kicked in from the police. I ran out of my closet and ran to the back door and heard the police yelling out commands as they walked down the basement steps.
The banging kept increasing as they shouted “make yourself known.
The operator told me to stay put so that’s what l did as the police continued giving out commands without getting any answers from anyone.
I heard a door getting kicked in assuming it was the storage room door, but then I heard them say to each other “there’s no one here it’s all clear.”
The cops searched the entire house and found no one.
It couldn’t be possible…
I kept telling them that there had to have been someone here. That someone had to have been in my basement. I told them that the side door was slightly open like someone came in and forgot to shut it but that we always kept that side door locked. That I opened the storage room door and someone kicked the door shut and then growled at me. That there was banging on the basement ceiling.
They tried using the excuse of me being a kid with an over amplified imagination.
So what the fuck was all that banging that I heard? The cops heard it. The operator heard it.
This couldn’t have been playing out in everyone’s imaginations.
The police took down notes of what I heard and saw and then my parents got home. And right before my parents walked through the now broken side door, the cops were laughing with each other and one of them even said “maybe his house is haunted?”
Well, if that was the case, then, why didn’t anything ever happen again?
I was 17 years old when that crazy night happened. And I lived at my parents house until I was 23 before getting my own place. I’m going on 37 and nothing ever happened again at my parents house.
Believe me, I’ve asked them…
And even stayed there some nights throughout the years on the weekends waiting for something to happen again.
They’re going on vacation next month for their 40th wedding anniversary.
And I’ve given this a lot of thought. Many years and nights of endless thought.
So much so that it kind of consumed me.
My friends that were playing Halo with me that night? They heard everything through their headsets and we’ve talked about this for a long time together, too.
Next month when my parents leave, we plan on doing a Oujia board session in the basement storage room.
I need to know if that house is really haunted or not…
