Koefoeds chairs

We purchased a set of Koefoed Teak Eva chairs new in 2007. Unfortunately, one of them just broke. I'd love to be able to replace it with a new one - and maybe add a few more to our set, but the local furniture store that we bought them from went out of business a few years ago. I see online that the company is still in business, but have had no luck finding a place that sells them new. Any suggestions for sourcing? Thanks!

So i have been asked to take a look at a couple if my mother-in-law's lovely Peter chairs (Koefoeds of Denmark) because the joints have loosened up. I am posting extensive pictures in the comments, and i would appreciate any input you have. I don't think i can do anything about the problem with the tools available here, so i will probably be taking them home with me next week.

I recently got a dining table & chairs from my boyfriend's mom, who is a real estate agent -- one of her sellers wanted to get rid of it, and she knew I needed a table for my new apartment, so we picked it up for free. She said it was rosewood, and that's all we knew.
That was a few months ago -- I've been in the process of recovering the chairs, because the fabric was ugly. I discovered that the chairs say "Koefoeds Hornslet" and "made in Denmark" -- the table also says "made in Denmark."
I did some Googling and found that it might be the "Ingrid" set from Niels Koefoeds?
I did some more searching and found a set of what looks like the same 6 chairs for sale for $4000. Here's another.

Does anyone know anything about this designer or this dining set? I'm just wondering if I might have some expensive furniture on my hands or not!
Incidentally, it's gorgeous. Sadly, there are a couple of water marks on the table, but otherwise everything is in good shape. The wood is beautiful, and I love the design of the chairs! Very elegant.

I have thought about making something like this for a while, but today u/Lick-My-Lovepump asked where I find good deals on furniture.
First I would like to preface a few things. I started getting into MCM in earnest around November of 2014 when I remodeled my basement and decided I wanted some cool retro furniture for it. New modern furniture was out of my price range. I have been going at this for about 1.5 years. I have learned so much in this time, but I still have so much more to learn.
First I would like to say that u/brass_and_rosewood 's Short Guide is an excellent place to start. It has formed the basis of how I have collected. I guess I hope this can be complementary to that guide.
I have to collect on a budget because I have two kids, one of which is an infant, and a wife not working. As you will see I am not afraid to buy some non-designer, not high end pieces, but I almost always buy them to sell. They help me fund my nicer, higher end, pieces. I have found I have a hard time letting go of the really nice items.
For the most part I have no use for or desire to own Lane, American Martinsville, Broyhill, Chromecraft or any other middle market items. You can call me pretentious or snobby. I don't care. If thats what it takes to get great deals then so be it. I do buy these middle market items because in my market they are what sells, and since the market is so liquid it is easy to get a good idea of what the item will sell for.
My goal is to buy when I think I can triple my money, that way if I only double my money I am still OK. I try to apply this to items I sell or keep for myself. For items I really like and want to keep I might be OK narrowing that a bit. The caveat to this strategy is it may take you a lifetime to find that type of a deal on a specific piece that you want. A Karuselli Lounge is my bucket list chair, but I will probably never find one in the wild. I am ok with getting what comes to me through great deals, I kind of see it as the items picking me as much as I pick them.
Here are the channels I use to find deals:

1. Craigslist: I get the most deals from Craigslist. The best method is keeping a constant inventory of what is on your local CL. Check it multiple times a day, browse through the furniture category until you see items from the last time you looked. Then be ready go get it as soon as the seller is available. I also try to always be honest with people. If you look and read through the album you will see honesty and a little goodwill pays off, and you get to keep your integrity which is important to me.
   
2. Live Estate Auctions: I love live estate auctions. They are getting rarer as online estate sales have gotten more popular. live auctions benefit the knowledgeable buyer more than any other channel. It usually requires most of the day, and you have to have discipline, but you can get some amazing deals.
   
3. Online Estate Auctions: Online Estate Auctions are becoming more and more popular. Usually things sell for close to retail, but things still fall through the cracks. Listings like this and this show that you can still get great deals, just don't over pay and be patient. I will go months without buying anything on these sites. Then there will be three sales in a row where I find hidden gems.
   
4. Live Estate Sales: I rarely find anything at these. Prices are almost always high. What isn't high usually gets scooped up by dealers who get there at 4am and wait for the doors to open. That being said my most prized possession, a Finn Juhl BO-101, was purchased at an estate sale. It was not identified, but I still paid $1,000 making it the most expensive item I have purchased. I had sold the Niels Koefoed chairs and table earlier that week so I had $1,000 profit just waiting to be deployed (talk about an item picking me!). It would bring a lot more than that at auction. I also found this Italian lamp by Ellio Martinelli for $7. I thought everything else at that sale was WAY overpriced, but this little guy slipped through.
   
5. Connections: In the last year and a half I have made a lot of friends. I have gained the trust of a number of people who ask me for ID's and also look for items they know I like. I do the same for them. This is the best part. I consider this group to be part of that. I learn from helping out on here, and I hope people learn some from this. I have one friend I have made that has a huge storage unit and does a lot of volume. I often refer people to her for cadenzas, hutches, and other large items I don't have room for. Conversly she will give me the heads up on a sale with a bunch of Danish stuff, or send people my way for a chair or coffee table they may want. We also will not bid or compete against each other for items. Since I feel she is really one of the few people in my area on par with me in drive, knowledge, and passion for MCM, it is a great alliance and turns what would be a competitor into a great resource (and friend).
   
6. Thrift Stores: I got to these fairly frequently, but find stuff fairly infrequently. I have been thrift store shopping since I was 16 (remember grunge?). Today thrift stores know what they have more than ever. The ones near me aim high and work down. I mostly find smalls, like a Viking bud vase for $2, or a turned Walnut lamp for $5, or a Dansk tray for $7. Yes you might find something amazing, but for the time and effort its usually not worth it. Why do I go there? I find it fun, and I can use it as an excuse to take the kids and give mom some alone time. My son looks for video games, and I also get some non-MCM stuff. Pro tip: In my area I do the best in terrible neighborhoods. For one the collection centers in good neighborhoods send stuff there. Also the people in those areas generally are not looking for MCM. Pro-Tip2: Sometimes the little Cancer Society or local non profit thrift shop has better stuff than the giant Goodwill or Salvation Army. If I drive across town to get an item, sometimes I will ask the person, "When you take stuff to a thrift store, where do you go?" Its and odd question but I have found a few I like this way.
   
7. Yard Sales/rummage sales: Yard sales are the ultimate lottery ticket. I tend to be unlucky with these. Probably the best deals can be found at yard sales. Most of the people who I have bought things off of multiple times find their stuff at yard sales. I don't mind paying $100 for a MCM fireplace, even if the seller got if for $30 at a yard sale. The time it saves me to not have to search is worth it. If you want deals through this you need to get out early, and often. Be prepared to strike out way more than you hit, but if you find that honey hole it can all be worth it. It can also be fun to do with friends and family. On a side note, my neighborhood has a community yard sale with about 75 houses participating. The amount of people that come is astounding. Last year I wanted to sell $300, I sold $1,200. This year my goal is $2,000. Pro Tip: If you see some MCM items, don't be afraid to ask if there is more items like that they may want to sell. When I have my sale I leave the good stuff inside and if someone is serious I'll take them around the house.
   
8. Ebay: To get good deals on eBay you must find poorly listed items. There is a tremendous amount of volume, but I know people get deals. eBay has not been a reliable source for me to get items, though I have got a few. I keep an eye on local pick up only items in about 100 mile radius. Perhaps other members can contribute some insight into finding deals through this channel.
   

It has been a wild ride, but I think I have developed a hobby that is profitable, fun, and enriching. I love the people I have met both in person and online. If I were to ever lose my job I am certain I could scrape by flipping furniture. Its nice to have that in my back pocket. The beautiful thing is anyone can do it. I have just banged this out in one sitting so I am going offline for a while. Happy hunting.
